Speaker 1 (00:00):
I'm calling this a victory Friday. I'm jumping the gun.
I don't even care.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Bronco's gonna blow them out on Sunday.
Speaker 1 (00:06):
It's gonna be the worst thing to happen on British
soil since the Black Plague. Hmm okay, I mean, do
we hate the British because we've inflicted on them?
Speaker 2 (00:16):
Now the uh.
Speaker 1 (00:16):
Wait wait, the Jaguars, the Browns and now the Jets.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
Well, we can't really say that we hate our distant
brethren the mind.
Speaker 2 (00:26):
We treat him like we do.
Speaker 3 (00:28):
Well. I mean, maybe there's a reason, you know, to
get back is called the Revolutionary War. So every now
and again we kind of tossed some shade their way.
But let me tell the honest Satata Jacksonville Jaguars over
to the UK.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
Haven't they suffered enough? No? I mean that's kind of
in their way.
Speaker 3 (00:47):
That's their team, right because jack con has a soccer
team over there.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
Excuse me, I'm sorry, I'm misspoken.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
A football team forvartball team, the football the football team
over in the UK.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
Yeah, I thought.
Speaker 1 (01:02):
I don't know if you guys saw it or not,
but our buddy Scotty Grange over nine did a spot
where he went around talking to guys on the street
asking if they knew about the Denver Broncos, and like,
none of them knew them.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
None of them the Broncos.
Speaker 1 (01:16):
One guy was like, oh, yeah, isn't that the one
guy from the eighties And then he started talking about
refrigerator Perry and kind of was like that was the Bears.
Speaker 4 (01:25):
Yes, yeah, you would think with all of that, all
the games that the interpestion games the league has had
over there, there would be some kind of knowledge of.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
The Denver Broncos.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
It really, like, I like my experience with that having
been over there and been through that is a lot
of expats.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
Are people that are.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
From the United States or whatever get involved. It's not
really it's not a lot of.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
Native you know.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
It's it's people from all over Europe that used to
you know, that used to live in the States that
go to these games.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
What was Scotti and just kind of the wrong location?
Speaker 1 (01:56):
I don't think so, because I like, I mean, even
when I was leaving the last time and my cab
driver had no clue, like at all, He's like he
was vaguely aware of the concept of the NFL and
then was absolutely stunned when he found out how much
players made. Well.
Speaker 3 (02:11):
I can easily see that, Ben, because once again, when
football is their sport of chores, we call it soccer.
I mean for them, that's what they are grooved into.
That's their version of our game. It's no different than
coming here. And let's just say, well now, let me
let me take that back, because I think anyone I
(02:32):
guess with exception of yours, you know you, Benjamin Albright,
I mean the World Cup is coming here?
Speaker 2 (02:37):
What next year? If I'm not mistaken, well it just
I'm mane talking aout the World Cup.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
But like, let's just talk about Premier League soccer real quick, right,
Like they play thirty eight games per year in the
in the Premier League and that doesn't even count like
the domestic cups and the European competitions those can add
almost twenty more games depending on because if you win,
you keep going, right, because they.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
Have them in some kind of like like lea Premier leagues.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
What those guys play like like between forty and sixty
matches a year right now, they made good money. Those
soccer player they know overall you're the Premier League, you
make good money and all that kind of stuff. But
these guys are like, wait, talking about well, you got
one player who makes sixty million dollars for playing seventeen
games a year.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
And yeah, American money.
Speaker 3 (03:17):
Well we'll think about you know, international soccer that is,
and guys like Messi or.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
Ronaldo how much money that they make.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
Yeah, like there's not the top guys that you know,
like those guys make make insane money, you know.
Speaker 3 (03:31):
And once again, I think here's what happens here in
the United States. Obviously, football is the most dominating sport
and there's nothing that's trumping the NFL, MLB, NHL, the NBA,
NFL is still king, but due to successful shows like
the Apple Show ted Lesso, it has introduced more American
(03:54):
people to the world of soccer.
Speaker 1 (03:58):
And the top Premier League guys do make competitive rates
to you know, what the NFL guys do, but they
do a lot more for it in terms of the
number of games played. Like early Hellans is the the
highest paid player at Man City, right he makes something
like five hundred and twenty five.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
Pounds a week, So that how many games.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
For well, the thirty eight Premier League games plus so
basically sixty games.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
You know all in.
Speaker 3 (04:26):
Well, there's not a lot of really, let's be totally honest,
there's not a lot of physicality in soccer, right, whether
you call it football or not. This I mean there's
some acting, some of Lebron James type of acting, but
there's no physicality in the game. So yeah, play play
your eighty two games. I applauded, and I'm not trying
to take anything away from the sport itself. It is
(04:50):
one that I find very interesting because I mean especial
when you I hate when games come down to penalty kicks.
Speaker 2 (04:58):
Well, do you like shootouts and hockey? No, I don't.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
You don't want a three point competition in the NBA
three Well, I mean it's overtime and then okay, we're
having a free throw competition. Now it sounds so horrible.
Speaker 3 (05:15):
Right because now you get you get got like uh,
Kyrie Irving, Ryan nikolea Yokas you put him at the line,
they gonna make every shock.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
Well, I mean some of those guys can't.
Speaker 1 (05:24):
I mean, if it came down to shack shooting free throws,
that's different. Yeah, you've played a tie game, you played
multiple overtimes, and now shacks at one free throw a
lot of Steve Nash is over at the other says
he see.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
I'm not a gambling man, but that's when.
Speaker 3 (05:38):
I would actually lay a bed down, right, you know,
saying that those shocks would not secure the game winning
free throw because that's not his thing.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
But I mean, soccer is a great sport.
Speaker 3 (05:50):
And I hope the guys had an opportunity to at
least explore a little of London.
Speaker 2 (05:55):
I know they owned a business trip.
Speaker 3 (05:56):
Hopefully they had the chance to explore because I mean
a lot of these probably won't go across the pond
on their own, but understand business trip.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
Get that out the way. So I hope they had
a chance to see Buckingham Palace. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
The last time that we were there, I bumped into
Courtland Sutton at the Globe.
Speaker 2 (06:15):
Uh Shakespeare in the Theater. Yeah, we were talking about.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
Yeah, I bumped into Courtland Sutton there like independent of it.
Said he had no clue we were both going for
the tour at the same time. Uh so that was
kind of cool as we both you know, did the
did the tour there for that I saw some of
the guys because I stayed by buddy Paul, who lives
just around the way from Buckingham Palace a short bicycle
ride and so I saw some of the guys that
you know at bucking.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
Him interact but that let them to their tour.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
But saw them while uh while there there's but you know,
last time they play. I don't know what the difference
is between Sean Payton and Nate Hackett in terms of
how much freak time these guys will have. I imagine
they had a little bit more of Nate Hackett, uh
the last time we were over.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
There, you know, I hope so because just just give
the guys a little understanding of what that culture is,
because I know, I think when they went down to
New Orleans and on Thursday night game, I think they
kind of tore the little down there and the Broncos
left with enough time to kind of get some of
those things out of the way.
Speaker 2 (07:10):
But here's what I find interesting.
Speaker 3 (07:13):
Even though we're talking about our British cousins, our Brotherren,
the British food, the things that they eat, and.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
There are certain beaked beans for breakfast is not It's
not good like probably my buddy, you know, you gotta
have a traditional British breakfast. I'm like, all right, and
then we got there. I saw what it was like.
Get a hold of beans. I'm not doing baked beans
for breakfast.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
It's not I didn't like be.
Speaker 3 (07:35):
I know, we get in this back and forth the
way that I love to eat my beef. But are
you a stek tartar guy? Not for breakfast for me?
I'm not for breakfast, lunch or anything that's just kind
of like raw brown beef with a little egg on
side of it. And I'm not talking about not an
egg that's cooked. No, no, no, no, like like are really running.
(07:57):
I just cracked the egg and I just set it
on top of it.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
First of all, I don't eat like eggs. I don't
do rare eggs. You gotta be cooked. In fact, that
one of my eggs over hard.
Speaker 2 (08:04):
I want that.
Speaker 1 (08:04):
I don't want that yolk running at all. I never
understood the concept of people who do like that. I mean,
especially the people who don't don't like rare steak, but
they do like like a like an I'm like, really
like cow flesh is too much for you. But you
will you know, you know you're here to eat a
runny chicken. Fetus, like wasn't gonna.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
I don't get it.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
When I went over someone was eating s cargo. Yes, nails,
that's that's a French thing.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
I'm good on that too. I don't need that. I don't.
I don't. I don't get it.
Speaker 3 (08:31):
And I thought that I had a very unique palate,
but it's not that British unique.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
It is not.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
Yeah, the British British breakfast are a basic British preakfer
for those that they don't know if you if you
go over there, you sit down there like you know,
this diner or whatever, and it's a you get bacon
and sausage and eggs like like you would in America, right,
but then they also have like fried tomatoes and mushrooms
and baked beans.
Speaker 2 (08:57):
Uh, and then uh you know, in your toast, and
then they'll have.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
Like a like a you know, black pudding which is
a blood sausage. I'm good on most of the Like,
I don't you know, you had me with the first half,
but you lost me with the with the bat I
don't you know, I don't need fried tomatoes and mushrooms
and blood sausage and baked beans and the mortar like
that's I don't know.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
That's this. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
Another curiosity over there is they how early they shut down,
Like you would think, like you know, London rub out,
you know all night all.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
That kind of dude.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
These pubs they shut down at like ten, ten thirty
eleven o'clock at night, and the town is like shut down.
Like if you want to do anything after ten eleven
o'clock at night, you got to go.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
Like the casino because everything's shut down. I mean, because
the British love to drink, they like the iris, are
they not?
Speaker 1 (09:36):
That's what I thought, and they do, but they shut
down like they just shut down early. It's not a
thing where they stay out all that late. Is It's
not a thing like on Friday and Saturday night. There
were some clubs that stayed open or whatn't but most
of most of the establishments to the pubs and.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
All that kind of stuff. Yeah, they shut down like
ten eleven o'clock at night. Yeah. I don't know about
get warmed up, you know.
Speaker 3 (09:57):
I'm like all right, yeah, I'm sure you're just getting
warmed up. But the last thing on this British food.
Also when I was when I was over there several
years ago, someone tried to get me to eat haggis.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
Ohoo, that's Scottish but no, and I was just like, well,
what is it?
Speaker 2 (10:15):
No, no, no, no, just taste it. Yeah, they're not
going to tell you. First of all, I tried to
tell him.
Speaker 3 (10:19):
I said, you do know I'm African American, so you
have to tell me.
Speaker 2 (10:25):
This. No, I mean, who wants to eat haggis anyway?
Speaker 3 (10:30):
Yeah, And obviously when I found out what it was,
I was like, thank god I didn't eat it.
Speaker 1 (10:35):
It's it's basically sheep's heart, liver and lungs. That's that's
made with with onion, oatmeal and some spices and then
cooked in the animal's stomach. And the Scottish love it.
The Scott's love it. Jody Jordan probably loves it. He
looks like he does. Is he's walking in there with
a giant cake. That man has always got the best names. Yeah,
I look, but yeah, I it's like almost like a
(10:57):
pudding in the end.
Speaker 2 (10:59):
And I don't know.
Speaker 1 (11:00):
He was like I tried to bite just to just
to get them off my back. And I was like, yeah,
this is not this is not good. That's not putting.
This is not good. Well, sure, it is closer to
like a putting oatmeal kind of thing. I'm not dead,
that's pudding.
Speaker 2 (11:14):
No, that's old. People grow us.
Speaker 3 (11:16):
But the sheep heart inside the sheep's belly. Nah, I
think exactly.
Speaker 2 (11:25):
No, and I plan to well avoid it forever. We're
gonna find a way trick meetings. What's gonna happen now.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
That's gonna be the that's gonna be the ultimate payoff
on If Russell Wilson comes back on this justin field,
you can get out of it instead of instead of
buying knee steak dinners, you can get out of it
by eating haggis.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
What do you do with that? Seekers? Oh, I'm absolutely
paying for everything. Yeah, I probably take that.
Speaker 1 (11:50):
I'm not overly concerned about it because, man, even if
Russell Wilson gets back here, he can't He couldn't complete
a pass last night. I'm not worried. I don't know, man,
thing we got to talk about this actually dart thing. Man,
it's just uh and not just him. Like my my
complaint with Camscatibo coming out, was it the way that
that guy plays football puts his body at risk, like
(12:11):
he seeks contact out and it's fun to watch, but
I don't know how long that guy's gonna hold up.
Jackson Dart is like the quarterback equivalent of the same thing,
and both those guys are, to their credit, injecting an
energy into the New York Giants right now.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
That's this phenomenon fun to watch.
Speaker 1 (12:25):
But Jackson dartsmen in the medical every game so far,
like Russell, Wilson has had to come off the bench
in two of them in relief for a moment because
he's already picking up injuries with the style of play
that he has, but none like the one we saw
last night. Well that was the concussion. Yeah, we're the
answeringing the ankle before he went.
Speaker 3 (12:44):
Into blues hen and someone was saying on social media, oh,
it was his shoulder, and I'm like, well, I cann't
easily see when he was falling, Eagles player collided with
his helmet and he was down on the ground for
a while. And the next thing that happened I can't
say I've ever seen before.
Speaker 2 (13:03):
Now.
Speaker 3 (13:03):
I've seen players go over to make sure other players
are okay, but Cams Gatabu went in the blue ten
and then you saw Brian Dabu screaming, well.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
Jackson Dart went in the Blueten and yeah, Davie, I'm just.
Speaker 3 (13:15):
Saying, well, when Dart was in Cam'skattabuo actually went in
as well to kind of checked on him.
Speaker 2 (13:20):
Again.
Speaker 3 (13:21):
I don't know if his doctor name. It all depends
on where you're from. If it's Scott Rodeo or Scott
Rodeo two was however you see fit, But that was
the guy who.
Speaker 2 (13:31):
Brian Dabel was seen screaming at. Yeah, and I would
if I could guess.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
It looked like that Brian Dabele was gonna punt him
down Rodeo or Rodeo Drive if he didn't get Jacks
and Dark back out there.
Speaker 2 (13:45):
You know. That was and they they'll investigate all that
stuff or whatever.
Speaker 1 (13:50):
But on the way I had to get it now,
Daboll was really trying to find out and get clarity
on how long it was going to take because he
had to make some decisions, some late down decisions on
what he was going to do third fourth albums.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
They take that to cause the protocol.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
I agree, and you shouldn't be trying to mess with
that at all, But trying to get that information for
somebody so you can try to make it for like
I sort of I sort of understand that, like ten.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
Could we not consider that like tampering with the witness?
Speaker 1 (14:18):
Absolutely, yes, it's medical professional tampering in an effort to
get somebody back from the you know, could we call
it medical malpractice.
Speaker 2 (14:24):
Then well, if the doctor committed malpractice, that it would be.
Speaker 3 (14:28):
Well then that means okay, well, having a having a
guy who's doing evaluation, speeding up the process.
Speaker 2 (14:37):
Just That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (14:39):
Though, did he like because I mean he didn't look
he looked annoyed that Dabele was like screaming at him,
you know, like, I'm what am I supposed to do here?
I'm like, I got to check this guy out. You know,
Dable is the one out of line.
Speaker 3 (14:48):
Well, you are independent neurologists. Your job is to evaluate
the players going into the blue.
Speaker 2 (14:53):
Ten.
Speaker 3 (14:54):
I'm interfered, I'm manipulated by the head coach to anyone else,
But it appears, based on what we saw Thursday night football,
that Dabel was trying to speed it up. You're taking
too long.
Speaker 1 (15:08):
Yeah, he definitely was wanting Jackson Dart back out there immediately.
Like one pass from Russell Wilson and he you know,
the Dable volcano erupted.
Speaker 3 (15:16):
Yes, And Dabel wasn't even watching the field when Russ
was on the field.
Speaker 2 (15:21):
Yeah, he was just and I did it.
Speaker 3 (15:22):
You're concerned about your guy, and he should be concerned
because both he and Joe Shane are tied to Scamscatiboo
and Jackson Dart.
Speaker 2 (15:31):
So he was nervous.
Speaker 1 (15:32):
Yeah, I mean Jackson, like that's the thing, Like I
wouldn't be surprised if what he was yelling at like.
Speaker 2 (15:35):
This guy is my job get it back?
Speaker 1 (15:38):
Yes, yes, you know, I mean at this point it's
you know, it certainly looks like that and he's seeking
valid and it's the same way I think Sean Payton
would be if it was Bo Nicks and you know,
and and if rus had been around.
Speaker 2 (15:50):
If it was Bow and Russ Patchy. But you can't
interfere with that problem. I whole hardly agree we're in
lockstep on that.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
I'm just saying I don't think because thatlogists wasn't even
the one that was doing the stuff at the time.
Speaker 2 (16:02):
He would stand outside the Tennesse.
Speaker 1 (16:03):
The other guy, his assistant that was in there administering
the test or whatever, and he went out to run
interference with with Brian Dabel because Dable's over there.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
You know, throwing a temper tantrument.
Speaker 1 (16:11):
So that's where my, my, you know, Bugaboo is just
kind of like, Okay, what what did Brian Dabele think
he was going to accomplish there? Because you're on camera,
like you did you think you were gonna sweat because
you're gonna get caught?
Speaker 2 (16:26):
Well, I guess he figured that no one was watching.
Speaker 3 (16:30):
But at the same time, you're saying, okay, well, and
this is from him, if you ever been on the
NFL sideline, there's a lot of emotions, right, This is
in quote what Debel is saying.
Speaker 2 (16:43):
Yes, yes, there's a lot of emotions.
Speaker 3 (16:45):
But there's a reason that independent neurologis was put there
in the first place to prevent situations like that. Right,
Because the league is now on this tip now where
they're about safety, they're about protocol.
Speaker 2 (17:00):
This incident, right, I'm not gonna call it an international.
Speaker 3 (17:04):
Incident, but this incident begs the question because this happened
in New York City, not too far from where the
league off is. Is.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
Yeah, this is one of those and it'll get it'll
get investigated.
Speaker 2 (17:18):
But if you're Brian Dabele, I don't know how you
would think that.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
If you were, if that's what you're doing, I don't
know how you'd think you were getting away with it,
because that you know, they got the cameras. You gotta
be like Rockwell, man. I always feel like somebody's watching me.
Speaker 3 (17:29):
Bro.
Speaker 2 (17:30):
Everyone was watching him last night.
Speaker 1 (17:32):
I'm just saying, Rockers country. And now we get a break
from the back after.
Speaker 2 (17:35):
This for the Law. And I remember when that song
came out back in the day.
Speaker 1 (17:43):
For what, for whatever reason, I thought it was MJ.
I thought it was Michael Jackson. No, m J was
on a course, yeah, but I mean I thought the
whole tray.
Speaker 2 (17:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (17:53):
So that's why I was like a couple of Michael Jackson.
It's not Michael Jackson's Rockwell, yes, you know very.
Speaker 2 (17:57):
I think Barry Gordy Junior's son. I think so. I
think that's correct. Five six sixty nine zero is the
text line. Of course, you know the MJ stuff.
Speaker 1 (18:05):
You gotta people look at you weird when you're listening
to Michael Jackson these days, you know.
Speaker 2 (18:11):
Like it's not not as weird as they look.
Speaker 1 (18:12):
Like, you know, you get the playlist or whatever, and
then like R Kelly comes on, You're like, I.
Speaker 2 (18:15):
Cannot listen to that without headphones on. Look.
Speaker 3 (18:18):
Man, I had a conversation with a couple of buddies
I went to college with and the question that was
asked one time, They asked, well, can you still listen
to R Kelly? And one of the guys said, yeah,
win him in the car by myself and my wife's
not in the car. And I'm like, I mean, music
is music, And I'm like, if you go to do that,
(18:40):
that means there's a lot of good music that you
cannot listen to, right.
Speaker 2 (18:44):
They're separate the art from the artist. Well, yeah, because
I mean.
Speaker 3 (18:47):
R Kelly wrote for and produced a lot of songs
with a lot of people.
Speaker 2 (18:51):
Mm hm, it wasn't just him.
Speaker 3 (18:52):
Yeah, And I'm like, look, man, I'm not condoning what
he did, but there was some great artists, some great music.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
I'm still listening. So what you're saying is your mind
was telling you no, but my.
Speaker 3 (19:04):
Telling me yes, but absolutely yes, of course.
Speaker 2 (19:09):
Who can't listen to MJ? Now? Well that's what I'm saying.
I don't see nothing wrong. Nope, with a little pumping grind.
And I'm also really this is an entire vehicle for
me to quote our killiy learcy and I am all
about this being the smooth criminal. Look, you remind me
of something. Yes, you can't figure out what it is?
Speaker 5 (19:25):
This is uh and secrets. He's still lost, right, I
have no idea what the city is doing. Which the
time he's producing the show. I have no idea what
the city is doing.
Speaker 1 (19:35):
Five six, six nine zeros and text are some uh
what are some fun guests down there at the Burndown
on Sunday. Man, we got the pajama party in the
in the morning. I think doors opened at the burned
down of seven take off seven thirty. Yes, the doors
open at seven. I got into the insider segment.
Speaker 2 (19:51):
I think like six ten.
Speaker 1 (19:52):
So I'll leave, you know, I gotta Brad and I'll
be down there probably about six thirty seven o'clock. But yeah,
we might have some some VIP guests down there. I
just got the uh, the info, so I want to
spoil the surprise, but they're gonna be all the surprise.
There's gonna be some people down there, So come on
down to the burn down. We got stuff to give away.
Burn out on South Broadway Sunday morning. Watch the Broncos
(20:13):
take on the Jets. We've got stuff to give away.
You can get entered for the flyaway to Las Vegas
to watch the Broncos beat the Raiders. We will have
tickets to the Broncos New York Giants game to give
away while we're there. Uh, you gotta be present to win.
Speaker 3 (20:28):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (20:29):
I think a lot some other stuff. Autograph football nick,
we usually have one of those. Uh, all kinds of.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
Stuff we get with bar tabs.
Speaker 1 (20:36):
Sometimes we get the halftime shots, skis, all kinds of stuff.
Come on down to the burn down on South Broadway
on on Sunday, be.
Speaker 2 (20:45):
There at seventh Outh there where you pajams. It's a
pajama party, pj party. Uh, emphasis on on the pe
as we had the commercial earlier. Yes, sir, I already
got my.
Speaker 3 (20:56):
Outfit already picked out.
Speaker 2 (21:00):
Just let that r Kelly joke go right by. It's fine,
probably smart.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
Somebody would text ask if I could listen to Gary Glitter. No,
that's the lie too far, man, that's the line too far.
Speaker 2 (21:10):
Gary Glitter.
Speaker 1 (21:10):
I didn't like Gary glitter the first time around. We
don't need to turn this night into like how horrible
some musicians are.
Speaker 2 (21:20):
But I mean, like people are fine listening to like
Ted Nugent.
Speaker 3 (21:22):
You know, look, art is art, uh, and sometimes it
can be very difficult for certain people because they draw.
Speaker 2 (21:35):
A line in the sand. Yeah. It's like once you
cross that line, I can't go back.
Speaker 3 (21:38):
Yeah, right, Like I mean when you think about Johnny
Cash in the life that.
Speaker 2 (21:42):
He lived Cash, right, but I'm still listening to Johnny Cash.
I'm not gonna stop the Ring a Fire guy. There
you go. There's some guys. I mean, he has some
newer artists, Some of these artists are actually paying for
it though. I mean you look at R. Kelly's in jail.
Uh you know, did he did? He's in the cell
right now nowhere, Boys for Life take that take that. Yikes?
(22:05):
It is uh. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (22:09):
There's some of that stuff like you gotta roll the
window up here that comes al do you know what
I mean? Oh, personal taste is personal taste. Like I was,
I had, I had the nineties r B playlist and
that's what that's where that whole thing came from. Is
I was listening to something and the R Kelly came
on and I was like, I cannot listen to this
without my earphones in.
Speaker 2 (22:29):
So sometimes the bees like that sometimes. Speaking of taste,
I have to say.
Speaker 3 (22:35):
I'm willing to share a bottle of my my favorite beverage.
Speaker 2 (22:40):
Obviously, we were at the Beer Face.
Speaker 3 (22:42):
Yes beer Fash yesterday and I didn't I didn't have
my Martinelli's with me. Did not right, But if you
and young seekers wanna help me crack this thing open,
I'm willing to share.
Speaker 2 (22:53):
Are you pre celebrating the eminent victory on Sunday? No,
I'm not gonna do that, shampain. No, I just it's Friday, right, It's.
Speaker 1 (23:04):
A football Friday, and you turn it into the Fridyaya.
Speaker 2 (23:07):
Absolutely, so we can parkeday here in the studio. I'm
I'm definitely down. He love you so, Martin Ellies.
Speaker 1 (23:16):
Yeah, we had a great time to Great American Beer
Fest yesterday and I met a lot of interesting people.
Speaker 2 (23:20):
Tried some of the producer.
Speaker 1 (23:21):
I think good Buddy Grant Smith's got the well worked
guy dropped off some stuff for him and Dave Tepper,
so hopefully they got those. I remember we left them
with Miranda, so hopefully she got.
Speaker 2 (23:31):
Those to them. Always have fun down there, a great
American beer fest.
Speaker 3 (23:37):
So this game on Sunday, Yeah, how would you how
would you look at this game? I know you've already
proclaimed it a Broncos victory. So since you've already planted
your flag, what happens in this game?
Speaker 1 (23:53):
The Broncos win, and the team that they are playing
against the New York Jozy, Yeah, of course I know
that definition by Justin Fields lose badly.
Speaker 3 (24:03):
No.
Speaker 2 (24:03):
I think I think the Jets will try to get
the pass going early. That won't work.
Speaker 1 (24:10):
I think they'll go back to the run game, and
I think you'll see I don't necessarily, I don't think
an entire diet of read option type stuff, but I
think you're going to see a heavy dose of it.
And I think they want to keep the ball out
of the Broncos hands and try to play some possession football,
see if they can keep these things fairly close and
if you either get a turnover or hang around. And
(24:30):
I think that's the game plan they're probably approaching this with.
Speaker 2 (24:33):
You got Breece Hall, you got Justin Fields.
Speaker 1 (24:35):
Both those guys can run, you know, And I think
if you can pick your spots with Garrett Wilson and
Mason Taylor, you have a tremendous amount of luck.
Speaker 2 (24:44):
Fields has his best passing day ever.
Speaker 1 (24:48):
Those kinds of things all fall into place and you
maybe get a turnover on defense.
Speaker 2 (24:52):
I think you've not been able to do this year.
Speaker 1 (24:54):
I think at that point then you start saying, Okay,
we've got we've got something here. But I think a
lot of things have to go right for New Yor.
I know I've been hyperbolic about everything, but I think
a lot of things.
Speaker 2 (25:03):
Have to go very very right for New York in
order for them.
Speaker 3 (25:06):
To witness That's that's very interesting, man, because when you
think about the Jets so far the season, when you
look at the final total, it looks as though they
were closed in a lot of games than they actually were.
Speaker 1 (25:19):
Yeah, just seventy five percent of Justin Field's touchdowns and
forty percent of his yardage have come with eight minutes
or less remaining in the fourth quarter, down two scores.
Like he is the garbage time king this year. If if
Emilios Division Charlie Sheen ever ever redo dirty work, like
he's got to get a came off for the amount
of garbage time he's cooking up here.
Speaker 2 (25:38):
He is an interesting satellite.
Speaker 3 (25:39):
When you look at the Jets, they're the only team
in the league that has not forced a turnover all.
Speaker 2 (25:46):
Season long, right, that it's insane.
Speaker 3 (25:48):
And we look at turnover differential, they have turned the
ball over seven times, right, and seven times for those touchdowns,
and those turnovers have equal to this point, thirty four
total points. So if you are the Denver Broncos, you're thinking, okay,
let's go back, if you will and look at the
(26:08):
game against the Cincinnati Bengals, right, because I would say
that obviously the Bengals are someone on the same level
as the New York Jets in some way. Yeah, I mean, yeah,
then they have better quarterback play. Yeah, but I think
on paper, the Jets probably are a better team.
Speaker 2 (26:24):
On paper.
Speaker 3 (26:25):
There's a better team on paper, but the outcome and
the production is something is what it is.
Speaker 2 (26:30):
So if you just.
Speaker 3 (26:31):
Mentioned the Jets are thinking, okay, well, this could be
the game that we could.
Speaker 2 (26:35):
Finally get some takeaways.
Speaker 3 (26:37):
And if we get some takeaways against the Broncos, we
can play keep away. And I know Aaron Glenn coming
into this game, he was saying as though this was
going to be a point of emphasis for the team
in practice. And what that tells me is that every
single time the special teams or whatever, these guys are
going to try to generate some type of offense by
(26:57):
punching the ball out. So for the Broncos, their pointing
emphasis is that, Hey, I mean you want eight.
Speaker 2 (27:04):
Point suppression, all security?
Speaker 3 (27:05):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (27:05):
Oh yeah, yeah, No Tiki Barber out there today.
Speaker 3 (27:08):
No. It reminds me of what Bobby Turner used to say,
former running back coach for the Denver Broncos.
Speaker 2 (27:13):
Down with the San Francisco forty nine.
Speaker 3 (27:15):
Ers, he would always talk about his eight point suppression, Right,
that would be a thing.
Speaker 2 (27:20):
So ball security is the biggest thing, and we're seeing
guys like.
Speaker 3 (27:23):
Derrick Henry struggle with that because his thing was when
he gets into a pile, he looks to stiff on him, yeah,
which means that he keeps the ball away.
Speaker 2 (27:32):
From his body. Right. So when you look at RJ.
Harvey and JK.
Speaker 3 (27:35):
Dobbins, and both of those guys have done well in
the run game, they're going to have to make sure
they keep that ball secure to their body and they're
going to have to really squeeze it to as well.
Speaker 1 (27:44):
I think that's the biggest talking point about this game.
The Broncos don't commit turnovers. They're gonna win. You're just
gonna win. You do commit turnovers, you allow the New
York Jets to get into the game that they want to.
Jet's the one thing that they have been able to
do this year is run the football. They average one
hundred and forty four point four rush yards per game,
at third in the NFL. They do run the football.
(28:04):
They have had success with that. Some of that is
on the legs of Justin Fields, and some of that
is the legs of Justin Fields opening up rushing lanes
for brace Hall and previously Braylett Allen, although he's hurt now.
They just can't throw the ball. They're horrible throwing the football.
And then defensively, and this is something that blows my mind.
The Jets are thirty first in the league in points
(28:25):
allowed twenty second and yards allowed twenty seventh and rushing
yards allowed. They average one hundred and forty four point
four rushing yards on the ground, third in the league.
Right they give up one hundred and forty point four
which is twenty seventh in the league, and that to me,
that is a is a fashion number. I want to
jump into some of this stuff here in a second.
(28:46):
Sunday morning, we got the Pajama party, watch parties, the
Broncos take.
Speaker 2 (28:51):
On the Jets.
Speaker 1 (28:51):
We got some IP guests, including potentially one Mayor Johnson
might be down there.
Speaker 6 (28:58):
I am going to be up and I actually just
learned about uh you all. I think I have an
evented to burn down on Sunday, and so I may
be swinging by that as well, because I'm going to
be out uh bars around Denver for that for that
early morning game Sunday.
Speaker 1 (29:08):
Because there you go, Mayor Johnson telling uh telling the
cemn folks he might be down at the burndown.
Speaker 2 (29:13):
Come on out to the pajama party.
Speaker 1 (29:14):
Nick, you your best behavior for the Major's there was
that for me or something?
Speaker 2 (29:18):
You? Yeah, there you are that we have to remind me.
Speaker 3 (29:25):
Yeah, I could be so disruptive, right and and my
boger with my language and actions of the tools.
Speaker 1 (29:31):
So they're pushing the boundaries and people like, oh no,
what did you do that, Ferguson do It's never one
of that, all right to fergus Now the question is, uh,
will he participate in the wearing of the pajamas that
I don't know, we're efforting that endswer okay, okay, but
I will be wearing pajamas.
Speaker 2 (29:48):
You obviously will be wearing a unicorn one. See that's
what I was told. I don't know if that's true.
Speaker 1 (29:53):
I mean, I know that's what Joel said he was wearing. Yeah,
Joel did say he was gonna wear that, and I
don't believe Joel. But we'll find out.
Speaker 2 (30:00):
We'll find out. We will see.
Speaker 1 (30:02):
Yes, Steve Atwater is so fond of h we will
see fond of saying. But yeah, you guys got to
come on down to the burn Down on uh on
Sunday morning. We're having They have great food done that
we tell you. The breakfast down there is phenomenal. The brunch,
the breakfast of the foods that they got what you
had to like the Captain's breakfast last time.
Speaker 3 (30:19):
Yes, I had the Captain's break I mean every time
I go, I have to have something with some steak
in it.
Speaker 1 (30:23):
It had Yeah, you had steak and eggs and potatoes,
and I'm getting that next time. So I had the
French toast because I eat like a twelve year old.
Speaker 3 (30:34):
So well, they do have this one I have that
try uh braise short ribs and mac and cheek.
Speaker 2 (30:41):
Yeah, I know I saw that too.
Speaker 1 (30:42):
And I was like, yes, I don't know if this
is appropriate for breakfast, but I want it.
Speaker 2 (30:45):
You know.
Speaker 3 (30:45):
That's the thing about the burndown really quickly is that
it's every time we go down there, it's it's hard
for me to decide what.
Speaker 1 (30:53):
Yes, I know, that's like I'm not even this is
not even a bit for like a comperc like that.
Speaker 2 (30:57):
It really is like like difficult to sit there like
that is all looks good.
Speaker 3 (31:00):
It's so good, and you know, part of me wanting
to say, hey, Ben, how would we do this? Until
Brett right, and Miranda Okay, so I want to try
a little everything. So we decide what we want.
Speaker 1 (31:10):
We do like a smorgas board and we all just
kind of a buffet there you go, just like what's
the meat place where they do that when you bring
the little meats, you know you bring all the meats
around or.
Speaker 2 (31:19):
What is that? Like the Brazilian place? Yeah, like the
Brazilian steakhouse they bring all the meats around and all
that kind of stuff. Yeah, that's just saying we can't
do it. There, Sure we go, there, we'll go. Zack's
pointing a nonage of that.
Speaker 1 (31:29):
I was thinking the same name, but I wasn't confident
in it, and I was not going to barge in
with it at the moment. Said Okay, well, yeah, you
definitely want to do that we come back. I want
to get into we were talking about it before they
try to break some of the things that the Jets
could possibly do. What's the road for them to, uh
try to claim victory on the Broncos. And we've had
a text or text in it's got it's it's on
(31:50):
one of the.
Speaker 2 (31:50):
Things that I'm sort of worried about.
Speaker 1 (31:52):
So we'll get into that here when we come back.
You guys, listen to Broncos Country nine right here on
k
