(00:00):
Hello and welcome. It's Milwaukee AdmiralsCenter Ice. I'm here and simms,
boy, if you haven't been payingattention, you need to start. The
Milwaukee Admirals yesterday defeated the Manitoba Mooseby the final score of four to three
in a tough, tough, grindingtype of game, and that mains Milwaukee
has won seventeen straight games. Theyhave not lost in calendar year twenty twenty

(00:20):
four. The last loss for theteam December thirty first, so seventeen straight
wins for Milwaukee. The Admirals havewon fourteen straight on home ice that dates
back to December the sixth, whenthey lost to San Diego at Panther Arena.
Milwaukee has no loss and now one, excuse me, six straight on
the road, the last loss beingthat game in Rockford and December the thirty
first. The Admirals just had astretch of four straight road shutouts snapped in

(00:44):
the in the win yesterday, givingup three goals against Manitoba to four to
three win for Milwaukee, But thatsnapped a stretch of fourteen periods four straight
games that the Admiral shut out theopposition on the road, a total time
of two hundred and ninety four minutesand twenty two seconds. The Admirals of
four shutouts in a row on theroad, the only time it's happened in
American Hockey League history during the regularseason. The only other time it's ever

(01:07):
happened in American Hockey League history wasin the twenty twelve Calder Cup playoffs when
Norfolk did it. Norfolk has theall time record for consecutive wins in pro
hockey in North America with twenty eight. That was set in the eleven twelve
season, the year that Norfolk wonthe Calder Cup. So the Admirals,
now with seventeen straight wins, tiedfor the second longest winning streak in American

(01:30):
Hockey League history with the four tofive Philadelphia Phantoms and the eighteen nineteen Bakersfield
Condors some other superlatives. Yesterday, with seventeen saves, Yaroslava Scaroff won his
twentieth game of the season. He'stwenty six and one. It was his
thirteenth straight win. He hasn't lostsince December the seventeenth in Manitoba, which,

(01:51):
by the way, was the lasttime Manitoba won a home game.
They have lost ten straight at homein Winnipeg. Troy Grossnik and a Scaroff
both have thirteen cons executive wins ingoal. That is tied for the franchise
record. The old mark they've bothflown by was ten, so the Admirals
are doing some unbelievable things. It'san historic stretch for the Admirals at this

(02:12):
moment. For ED coach Carl Taylor, yesterday's victory was his three hundred and
ninety ninth as a head coach atthe professional level, two hundred and eight
of those wins in the ECHL withRedding in Ontario. It was his one
hundred and ninety first win as thehead coach of the Milwaukee Admirals. His
record with Milwaukee one hundred ninety one, one hundred losses and forty one overtime

(02:32):
or shootout losses. And also yesterday, Kevin Grevell played his four hundred and
ninety ninth game as a pro threehundred and sixty seven in the American League,
one hundred and thirty two in theNational Hockey League. The Admirals will
be on the road again Thursday morningat Chicago, so that should be Grivell's
five hundredth professional game and hopefully forthe Admirals their eighteenth straight win and head

(02:53):
coach Carl Taylor's official four hundredth victoryas a head coach at the professional ranks
in North America. I mentioned officialbecause you remember December of twenty twenty one,
there was still COVID outbreaks going onand Nashville lost its coaching staff to
COVID, and Carl Taylor and ScottFord went to Nashville. They defeated Colorado

(03:14):
and they defeated Chicago. Those winstechnically and officially went to John Hines,
the head coach, who was outsick, but Carl Taylor and Scott Ford
were running the bench those nights. So unofficially, Carl Taylor has four hundred
and one wins as a head coachat the pro ranks in North America,
but unofficially, or excuse me,unofficially he has four hundred and one.
Officially he has three hundred and ninetynine. Again, the Admirals will try

(03:36):
to keep it going on Thursday morningwhen they take on Chicago at All State
Arena eleven am. Faceoff. Pregamecoverage we'll start at ten thirty here on
the Big Nine twenty and on youriHeartRadio app, we'll have all the games
for you. I tell you, this has been tremendously, tremendously fun some
of the games. It's taken somehard work and there's certainly a lot of

(03:58):
luck involved. Seventeen straight wins doesn'thappen much. Like I said, the
Admirals are only the fourth team inAHL history. The league's eighty years old.
There is only the fourth team inleague history to reach this number of
consecutive wins. So this is You'regonna have a lot of luck. It's
going to take a lot of goodbounces, and it's going to take an
awful lot of skill and heart aswell. The game winning goal yesterday for

(04:21):
Milwaukee was a combination of everything ofluck, of skill, and of heart.
Spencer Stashni, standing in the middleof the blue line, winds up
for a slap shot. His sticksnaps in half. Now he has to
defend a two on one without ahockey stick. He slides in the defensive
zone to break up a shot aslap shot coming, and then that he

(04:42):
blocks it. Joachim Cammeil flips thepuck to center as he's being taken down
and Liam Fodi went on a breakthe other direction. He undressed the defenseman
Dean Stewart. He fell to theice. Foodi went to the net.
He was being hooked up from behind. The puck slit into the goal.
As Foody crashed into the goalie.Colin Deilia went to look at the replay,
but the goal stood because the contactdidn't really impede Delia from making the

(05:05):
stop on the shot, and theAdmirals get the win. But right there,
it was a microcosm. Right thereis exactly what is going on with
the Admirals. They had bad bounce, they went back with a lot of
guts made up for it, andthen some skill the other way. So
luck all of it involved in thatone singular play. Coming up in the

(05:26):
show, we'll visit with Admirals defensemanRoland McEwan. He has won a call
Their Cup championship in twenty nineteen withthe Charlotte Checkers. We'll talk with him
about that experience and how that comparesto what's going on this season and even
compared to what the Admirals did lastseason in the playoffs. We'll also here
since this is something that's never beendone and this is a little bit of

(05:46):
a Perhaps this is a little bitof a vanity project here, I hope
you don't think it is, butI thought it would be nice to go
back and relive all of these games. So we are going to play all
seventeen games game winning goals slash, game winning saves, game winning plays from
each of the games on this seventeengame winning streak. I'll kind of narrated

(06:08):
as we go, We'll play thehighlight and we'll move on from there.
So lots to get to here onthe show. We hope you stick around
for the entire hour of this episode. But first, in case you missed
it, here's the conversation I hadafter yesterday's game in Winnipeg, the Admirals
winning four to three. The conversationI had with Admiral's assistant coach Scott Ford.
Admirals locker room assistant coach Scott Fordjoins us now four to Oh,

(06:29):
there was toy, there was someadversity. You get down two forwards as
the game goes on. It wasn'tthe best game, certainly in this seventeen
game stretch for the Milwaukee Admirals. But once again, the story is,
do you guys find a way toget it done. No, I thought
other guys you know, did agood job battling through special teams were good

(06:50):
again. I mean we we talkedabout eleven and seven and then you lose
two forwards and all of a suddenyou get nine guys for most of the
night. It really taxed some guys, especially the second game of the weekend,
but really big efforts. Think KellerRiley at the end with those big
face offs six on five and thenon the kill as well. I thought

(07:12):
weather Be was great, you know, down the stretch as well. So
and then I mean we only hadgiven up eleven shots through two periods,
So it wasn't like it wasn't likewe were, you know, playing horribly
by any means. We just youknow, maybe didn't have that same kind
of pop as we had. ButI thought our guys were pretty stingy again
blocking shots, and then ask hecame up big with a couple flurries at

(07:33):
the end. I mean, theyreally jammed the net. They go hard,
they you know, they we gota couple of their best games.
I mean they got some big forwardsthat go to the net hard, and
they like the funnel pucks and itreally tacks our guys a lot, you
know, and what you just saidabout the way they go, and that's
probably the more fair statement to makeon my part is that you knew Manitoba

(07:54):
was going to be stronger here today, and they were. They flexed.
But still, like you said, eleven shots through two periods, it finishes
with twenty. You guys did certainlya lot of good things, again defensively,
But I want to talk about thatgame winning goal, starting with Spencer
Stasney snapping his stick, going backand eating one and then it turns into
the game winner for Liam Footy whenhe when he gets rid of it before
he runs into the goalie with thehelp of a defender. Yeah, no,

(08:18):
for sure, I thought, youknow, it's playing trying to get
our guys to you know, staff, especially to activate and get involved in
the offense. And then breaks hisbreaks his stick on a shot from the
point and has to defend with nostick. And I mean obviously made a
great read on the two on onepass and made a huge block coming across,
making a great read of anticipation andusing his speed and skating and then

(08:43):
obviously Liam is no sloatch himself inthe skating department was able to break away
and you know, follow up kindof ramming the net in his own right
and puck went in kind of fortuitous. But you know, good things happen
when when players make big place thisteam. And I've used this word so
many times because there has been Imean, when you win seventeen straight,

(09:03):
there certainly is some luck involved. There's skill, there's hard work. It's
it's a it's a stew of ingredients. But it's just unflappable. I just
when you're down two forwards and you'resitting on the bench and you still got
to play thirty five minutes or so. I mean, you guys don't lose
your cool and and you know what, what's it? What's even more for

(09:24):
it was you guys stayed out ofthe penalty box and that was huge.
Yeah, No, for sure,I thought, yeah, I thought it
was we did for being tired andkind of having to defend there the last
kind of half of the game whenthey were pushing. Thought we did a
pretty good job just staying underneath theshot blocking again and the attention to detail

(09:46):
with our guys getting in shooting lanesand sacrificing for themselves and for their teammates.
It's just has been great. Imean, they there, they've been
a fun group. I mean, they're growing together, and there's obviously been
a lot of, you know, really exceptional things that have happened with our
group to win seventeen and then ourguys are just continuing to grow. And

(10:09):
we talked about staying hungry, andyou know, I think when you're able
to come back in a game whereyou know, maybe it's you don't really
have to or think think you needto in this situation, it just shows
kind of the the group we have. They are hungry, they want to
win, and they didn't. Theywant to keep this thing going. I
was going to say what you said, they're staying hungry, Like this would

(10:30):
have been a game if any it'sa three to three game, you're down
two forwards, you're tired, you'vewon sixteen, you got a comfortable lead
in the division. Yeah, everyyou know, this would have been the
one. You could have just wrappedit up, just just finished the last
thirty minutes. And they and theydidn't do that. No, No,
it's I mean, like I said, a lot of great efforts, I
mean, so like zactly route andI just how competitive he is as a

(10:52):
player. I mean he's obviously playson the edge and he definitely was under
the opponents can tonight. So playhard, our guys. Our guys play
hard. It's unfortunate that we losta couple of guys early and then we
just found a way. So lotsof good efforts for a lot of our

(11:13):
defense. I thought was exceptional againtonight. So we're just continue to kind
of grind and teach and our guysare really good. It's great things.
Let's enjoy a Winnipeg Monday night onLouis Real Day. Yeah, for sure,
you know it was great. Theyhad a great, great crowd tonight.
I thought it was real awesome atmosphereand really fun to play, and
you know, being in Canada,it was awesome hear the anthem and have

(11:37):
a crowd like this in a bigyou know, NHL building was real special,
no doubt, Fido, congratulations, great job tonight. Thank you comments
yesterday after the Admirals four to threewin in Winnipeg with assistant coach Scott Ford
coming up in the show. Comingup next, we'll visit with Admirals defenseman
Roland McEwan. You're listening to MilwaukeeAdmirals Center ICE. Welcome back to Milwaukee

(11:58):
Admirals Center ICE. I'm here inSims joined by Admirals defenseman Roland McEwan.
We're talking in Winnipeg. How funis it to come up here? Years
ago before the Jets came back, this was always my favorite spot and it
still is one of my favorites. But it's hockey, right, and it
used to be the media was allabout it and this was their team for
so long. It's so much funto come up here. What do you
think? Yeah, I forgot thatyou were around in the air when they

(12:20):
were the only team here, soI've never had that experience. But we
do really enjoy this trip. Wealways have a fun debate whether it's Texas
or this to the best place tocome to in our division. Obviously San
Diego probably takes the cake for bestplace to go, but it's fun.
You know, you got our rolesin the Keg and Shark Club. I
mean those are kind of HL staples, and then we got the games.

(12:43):
That's the most important thing. Anda lot of times it's two o'clock,
four o'clock start, whatever has whateverit is, and it's always a fun
trip, you know, it's it'sa good city. There's a day in
between, usually because the Jets areplaying, or in this trip there was
a concert, you got curling going. I mean, like, there's always
some activity going on. And peoplewhen I tell people Winnipeg is one of

(13:07):
my favorites, they look at mecock eyed, like, what how can
that? How's that it's forty belowall the time? When you tell people
that, what do they think aboutyou? Yeah, I think everyone gets
the same reaction. But it isa good like Canadian hockey city, right,
And that's what we do. Soevery time you tear on the TV.
Living in America, you kind ofget used to not seeing hockey on

(13:28):
TV all the time. But hereevery time ts n's you got five channels,
and they even televised podcasts for God'ssake talking about hockey. So that's
just the way it is, andI think it's kind of enjoyable for us
and the business of pro hockey tosee that. I've never asked. From
my perch, it looks fast outthere, but the ice, I gotta
imagine it's Canada and it's cold, and all of this stuff that the ice

(13:52):
is always great here? Am Iwrong in saying that? Or no?
No, I mean it's it's tothe NHL standard, and I think it
gets voted up there with the bestin the NHL every year. So that's
also really enjoyable. You know, sometimes we don't always get the best ice
conditions. I'm not overly picky aboutthat, but you know, some guys,
especially the yellow on bank passes asa d I find that enjoyable.

(14:15):
You know, you're not getting crazybounces, or even if you're on the
blue line and someone goes low tohigh too, it's usually flat. So
those things make a small difference. But yeah, it's definitely a little noticeable
compared to ours or some other places. Admirals defenseman ROLLINGD. McEwan and joining
us at Milwaukee Admirals Center ice.It was five years ago that you want
to call their cup with Charlotte.I'm curious this team, as we're talking

(14:37):
sixteen games in a row, hasn'tlost since December thirty. First, do
you see any similarities with that teamto what you have this year? Heck
even last year's team with the Admirals, Yeah, absolutely, I just the
belief, ye I meant you can'tmake it up. You have to do
it. And that's what I'm sensingwith our team now is the confidence and
the belief that we're going to winthe hockey game and we step on the

(14:58):
ice and you can that game won. But you really gotta build your own
confidence. And I think that's thrownaround a lot of is confidence in hockey.
But one thing is you gotta yougotta be able to build it.
It just it's not just gonna come. So I think as a team,
we're really sensing that. Granted,Bakersfield in eighteen nineteen one seventeen in a
row didn't even make the conference finals. So Gravy and I were kind of

(15:20):
discussing last night. You know,we obviously you want to go as long
as you can on this streak, but as soon as it's over, it's
over. You know, there's nothingto hang your hat on. And especially
with this new playoff format, it'spretty easy to make the playoffs. I
think it's a bad format. Butso in terms of like pushing and pushing,

(15:41):
I mean, it's especially regular seasonhas become a little odd in the
American League. I think because it'stoo easy to make the playoffs. But
like I said, just as soonas it's over, flush it. But
we're gonna ride this thing as longas we can. I want to touch
on the word confidence that's been thrownaround a lot when a player gets sent

(16:02):
down, and most recently in PhilThomasino, he's got to find his confidence.
Phil Thomasino needs to find his confidence. It's such a vague term,
what does it mean to you?To me, it means just the ability
to play with the puk and seethe game clearly and feel good. I
think everyone. The best example willbe watch a guy if he scores early

(16:23):
in a game or something, orhis shift after he scores, or a
couple of good games in a rowfor a goalie something like that. You
can really see that they're seeing thegame and making those clean cris plays.
There's a decisiveness. But I agreeit is a term that got thrown around
a lot. But I remember, like Babcock would say in interviews and stuff

(16:45):
like, people would ask how hisplayers would get back in the lineup,
and he would say, they needto play with confidence. But you know,
I can't give that to them, and you have to build it as
a player. So I always foundThat was kind of an interesting of saying
it because it is kind of true, Like you can't fake it. It
has to be earned. And we'rein a performance business, so you get

(17:07):
confidence by performing. That's just it. That's the when people say, and
it irks me, it's like,ah, he's making this much money,
he doesn't try hard all of that. And I'm sure you've heard things along
the lines of other players in thatin that regard, right that what's the
incentive for them? The incentive ispride, the incentive is the next contract,
the incentive is being labeled a winner. There's a ton of incentive for

(17:27):
living up to that pressure. Absolutely. I mean that's, uh, that's
the business we live in. AndI watch a lot of golf on TV,
and like that's that's a number onesport for confidence. You got to
think like when like can't lee rightnow, is just feeling it? Or
if Justin Thomas was off a coupleof years ago. You know, those
guys just talk how mental it isand how much confidence goes into it.

(17:51):
So I think sports are a tonof that, you know, especially at
the pro game, and so muchof it's it's mental, and like these
preds guys that are down here likeplay with confidence. Yeah, but they've
also done some great things up top. So I just as a group,
we just want them to come downand do their thing. And it's great
to see Phil put two in becausethat's the only gonna get them right back

(18:12):
up there. Absolutely. But thenice thing too is when those guys come
down Phil and use So for thatmatter too. They both have some equity
here. They've they built up someconfidence. Confidence to use their word again,
but they were here last season, they were here. They know you
guys, you know them like theythey have some weight in this whole thing.
Absolutely, Yeah, Like they're they'reinvested hockey players and true pros.

(18:36):
And I think it's kind of coolfor them and us as well, like
the foody Parson Tom are playing together, very familiar probably from the start of
the year together in the NHL.So I think that's a really tough line
for other teams to contain. Andyou know, this is great to see
them produce that. We want themto go right back up so as much

(18:56):
as that and helps our team aswell. This year. The record as
we're talking, and it's a daybefore the Monday game that we're talking,
but forty four games, twenty fourof those games have been played with seven
defensemen. The appitals are twenty twoto one and one in those games.
That's a stretch that's remarkable no matterwhat. But then to do it with

(19:19):
a lineup that's not the norm. How are you guys doing it with that
group? Because I got to imagineit's not the easiest thing to do for
scott Ford to try to line itup, and it's not the easiest thing
to do for you guys back thereknowing you might be missing a minute here
and there. Yeah, I thinkwe've gotten a little used to it.
I think it's the best way tosay. Like early on, sometimes it

(19:41):
feels like you're sitting there for abit because the way the rotation works,
it's almost like you're playing eight attimes if you're the one out of the
rotation, and then you're back intoa six man but Fourido has done a
really good job with it, andwe all have our own roles. It's
a pretty clear cut decour what eachguy doesn't think. There's a lot of
guys that don't know what they are, So in that sense, it's it's,

(20:03):
uh, you know, you gotyour power play guys, your PK
guys, four and four guys, and that kind of makes it easier.
Now, asking any defenseman if hewants to play with six or seven,
he's gonna say six. I've neverheard of defense in the history that says
he would rather seven. But theway our lineup's also structured is it's the
it's the right way to go aboutit. And you know, we're using

(20:26):
it to our strength, and betweenthe dcore and the goalies, we're really
confident in our ability back there.I think we're lowest goals against if I
think we got below Hershey, sothat's something we pride ourselves at. Us
in Hershey are have the lowest goalsagainst. We're the top two teams in
the league, so we have towe have to know that that's also a
strength. Roland McEwan joining us atMilwaukee Admiral Center Ice. You mentioned that

(20:49):
the lowest goals you're not you guysdefend, Carl Taylor said to me one
time, this team defends as wellas any team as I've ever been around.
And he says, and the funnything is we're not a defensive team.
So I mean that's you know, the other day, fourteen saves for
a scar off. It's a shutoutand it looks great for him, but
he really didn't have much work todo here. You guys are doing as

(21:11):
a team a great job. Thebiggest thing probably is the structure that we're
used to. Now. You know, Libby's a first year player, but
the six of us it is oursecond year in the system. And every
coach has their little nuances in theD zone and when you're used to it,
you can really perform it well. And I feel like this we really

(21:33):
have a strong sense of how weplay our de zone and that starts the
limit mistakes, which limits chances andthen you see the results. So we
just have to keep on it.And a lot of defense is focus and
not being sloppy and having the righttechniques and boxing out and not getting beat

(21:53):
to the net, all those things, and we just have to continue to
do it right now, it's beengood when you get a fire offensive team
that it really gets tested. Sowe just have to stay on it and
credit to the goalies, they'd donea great job. I want to finish
going back to confidence with you. You're playing a confident game. You can
see that you're you're putting yourself intospots. I mean, taking chances is

(22:18):
not the right term, but you'reyou're you're comfortable with doing that. You
mentioned that playing in Scoleftia the oneYou're really helped your confidence with skating and
all of that stuff. But Ilook at the goal you scored sliding into
the middle on a play that Carlsaid that was recently designed, and all
of this, like it just thingsare working for specifically, I'm talking,
I guess with you. Yeah,I feel a lot better. Like with
the pop up top on the blueline, our coaches really give us the

(22:42):
freedom to jump in the players defenseman, so I feel like I've been taking
advantage of that. Like the goalyou mentioned weeksid, just getting to the
slot in the soft area and readmakes makes a great pass. I mean
five of my six goals have beenright around the net, not so much
point shots. So I'm just tryingto find those holes. I think wingers

(23:02):
can fall asleep at times and thenas a d you can kind of jump
by them. So I think justtrusting my skating and yeah, I just
feel good about my game and withthe Puka confident, we have a really
good forward group that wants the puck. So as a d it's nice to
look up the ice and guys havetheir sticks on the ice demanding it.
That's what you want as a defenseman. And I think we were just in
a nice job moving the puck. And there's a lot of chemistry on this

(23:23):
team. Yeah, there's no doubtabout that. I always enjoy talking like
this with you. I appreciate it. Thanks for the time, good luck.
Thanks sir. That's Roland McEwan. We're back in a moment. You're
listening to Milwaukee Admirals Center Ice.Welcome back to Milwaukee Admiral Center Ice.
I'm Aaron Simms. Okay, Sothis is where we get into all of
the highlights from this winning streak. We're going to start back on December the
seventeenth. The Admirals lost that gamesix' four in Winnipeg. After that,

(23:47):
the Admirals one at home December twentieth, seven to four over Iowa.
The next game was at Chicago. They win in overtime three to two on
a Zach LaRue overtime winner. Afterthat, the Holidays take place, and
then the Admirals are back home. They defeat Chicago at Panther Arena seven to
four. On the twenty seventh, the thirtieth, they host Rockford and the

(24:07):
Admirals win that game five to four. Rockford scored three times in the third
and it was a shootout win forMilwaukee as Jordan gross and Igorrofanassi have both
scored in the shootout. So,December thirty first, with the Yaroslava Scaroff
on recall to Nashville, the Admiralsplayed at Rockford. The Admirals end up
after Troy Grossnick played the night before. Grossnick stopped forty of forty four and

(24:29):
then two of three in the shootoutagainst Rockford. So the Admirals go with
Gustavs Davas Rigals his one and onlyappearance in the American Hockey League. He
stops twenty two out of twenty six. Mitchell Weeks stopped twenty two out of
twenty five. One of Rockford's goalswas a five on three power play goal.
The Admirals lose four to three. That was December thirty first. That's
the admirals last loss since then. They've gone like this, and again,

(24:52):
we're going to play the games aswe go. Let's go back to January
fifth, the start of the seventeengame winning streak. The Admirals game twenty
nine home game number thirteen, hostingthe Colorado Eagles. Igor Afanasi have had
a penalty shot attempt in the firstperiod that was stopped by Eustace Oninen.
It went into overtime and the Admiralswere outshot in that game thirty to twenty
one. But the Admirals get theonly goal in overtime to the left.

(25:15):
Hash Mark Spetch cooff to the goalline around the Eagles net, hits the
brakes, trying to shake. CedricPare moves behind the goal again. Pare
knocked it away but lost his stickcenter for Kemel. Kemmel works his way
to the left. Hash Marks passesit right circle one time or since they
stared. Mark del Guiso fetters Fitzkoffslapper hit del Guiso stick on the the

(25:37):
eir pipe and at one await ofovertime in a really ugly game, the
Admirals stick it out and get aone nothing overtime win as Yarro Slava star
Off gets his fourth career shutouts wonnothing the Admirals victorious. That was win
number one. Mark del guys whowith a game winner. The next night,
the Admirals hosting Colorado at Panther infront of six five hundred and seventy

(26:02):
five fans, and this one itwasn't close. The Admirals come away with
a five nothing win. They gotall they needed at nine to forty nine
of the first Steinberg whipped on thepass and LaRue knocks it away. Here's
jan Kowski entering his own for theright circle. He dropped it off LaRue
in the slotal shoots Hey made therebound. Glarue stars Zack LaRue with a
backhander beats on it in gloves sideat nine forty nine for Zach LaRue,

(26:26):
his seventh goal of the season, and the Admirals have taken a one nothing
lead two to zero at that point. Then the Admirals visit Grand Rapids and
this was a tough one. TheAdmirals were down two to nothing in the
first period, but they fight backand late in the game, a four
on four goal from Igor Afanasiev caromon the far wall to center and McEwen
did a great job Berger and hada two on one coming up. McEwan

(26:47):
breaks it up and the Admirals breakit out left wing. It's off Nasi
across the middle of the blue line. Now he shoots his stars wicked wrist
shot from the high slop by offAnasiev over the glove of Hutchinson at eighteen
fourteen, Igor's fifteenth of the season. What a ripper, and the Admirals
have taken a three to two lead. So that makes the Admirals three and
ozer during the stretch, they becomefour and oh when they travel to Henderson,

(27:11):
Nevada to take on the Silver Knights. The only goal they would need
was scored in the second period.Cal will dump and chases. He gets
to the Henderson Blue into the nearcorner. O'Reilly and a hack a hack
tied him up. Cormier will clearit off the boards, but held in
at the right point by del Gaiza, who backed up a pinching McEwan behind
the goal. Footy Food. He'llstep out from from behind the net to

a one nothing lead. Tough anglesshot for the Admirals, Liam Footie with
Anthony Angelo camped in front of thegoal. The Admirals route shot in that

(27:55):
game thirty three to twenty one,but win two to nothing over Henderson.
The next night at Hendry, aseven nothing win over the Silver Knights Troy
Grossnick with the shutout. The Admiralsoutshot Henderson twenty eight to twenty four,
and early in the contest, theAdmirals got all they needed from Jasper Weatherby.
Angelo steals it back to the Admiralside of the redline gravel, right
wing bank, Liam Foodie, Foodyto the far hash marks, turned around

(28:17):
by set off Foody. You'll skatewith it back to the right point.
Send it center point gravel with ashot, tap of the score. Jasper
Weatherby, with the difflection beating Vikmangloves side. At six forty eight of
the first period. Jasper Weatherby, with his fifth of the season in Milwaukee,

(28:37):
has taken a one nothing lead.Game number thirty four was a tough
one the Admirals at home playing theTexas Stars at Panther Arena, and it
came down to a short handed goalin the third period from Spencer Stasney.
Pulliat'll skate behind the goal, Afanasiestaying with him as Polliot drags it along
the near boards. Afanasi have bumpedhim off the puck. He's being held
up by Pulliot. Got the fuckFrieda Stashny in the slotty Show Stars.

third and the Addirals have taken afive to four lead, the first career
shorthanded goal for Stasny. The Admiralsscored two short handed goals in that game

(29:25):
to win five to four over theStars on January twentieth. The next night,
the Admirals took on Texas once again, and Reed Schaefer came up big
for Milwaukee. Carlster retreat back tohis own zone and pick up the pocket.
Then he coughed it up a badfeed right Turtle Shafer off the putt.
He went in off the pipe andin for Reed Schaefer off the pipeing

(29:45):
in Shaefer with his second of theyear at twelve thirty eight that's a big
one for Reed Shafer. The Admiralsare up four to two, a five
to three win January twentieth. Thenon January twenty fourth, the Admirals hosting
the Bellville Senators. They beat Bellevilleearly in the season. This one was
tougher. It went into a shootoutand the Admirals coming away with a victory.

(30:07):
In the seventh round. Footi's firstattempt, he's above the circles.
Between the circles, he shoots starred. It went under the stick of Mandaleza
and in Mandalaze got a piece ofit, but it's split into the goal.
So Liam Footie gives the Addreals athree to two lead. And here's

On January twenty sixth, the Admiralshosting Rockford and in this one early in

Rockford. The next game was atChicago January twenty seventh, and it wasn't
that close. Right wing Stasney.Sasney hit hard at center. It's like
Chris Terry. As the puck goesbehind the Chicago goal off Anassia takes a

left point. Willsby with a shot. Stard igor Afanassium with a screen in

the first period. In the lastsixth contest, the Admirals lead won nothing.
Adam Willsby's fourth goal of the year, unassisted, led the Admirals to
a five to nothing win in thatcontest to shut out for Troy Grossnick.
The Admirals outshot the Wolves in thatone thirty three eighteen. On January thirtieth,

(32:00):
the Admirals hosting San Diego, whobeat the Admirals on December the sixth

in the second, but the Admiralsclawed back and got what turned out to
be the winner at sixteen eleven ofthe second period. Roll mule, that

Oh did he give that one aride? Seventh goal of the year
for Mark del Gaizo, three twoAdmirals. The Admirals beat Manitoba five to
two that day. So now wego to February ninth, the Admirals playing

host of the Chicago Wolves, andearly in the third period, on the
power play, the Admirals score whatturns out to be the game winner.

On the tenth, the Admirals hostTexas. This was a tough game.
Texas was all over the Admirals thirtyfour shots to twenty two. Troy Grossnick

had to start last minute I excumYaroslavaskaroff was injured in the pregame, so
Grossnick had to play once again. The Admirals outshot thirty four to twenty two,
but a heroic performance from Troy Grossnickleads to the victory. Blumel skarts
from his own left circle with speed, He picks up the pucket center.
He goes right, stops at thefar dot, slowly moves to the ninety

They have not lost in twenty twentyfour, thirteen straight w's for Milwaukee.

The Admirals defeat the Texas Stars behinda heroic effort from goaltender Troy Grossneck
Jordan Gross had the only goal inthe shootout for Milwaukee. The Admirals win
that one two to one. Andthen the Admirals hosting Chicago on February thirteenth,
and they come away with a fiveto two win, the game winning

is sixth of the year, threeto one. The Admirals lead. The
Admirals outshot the Wolves that night fortyto twenty two. And then we get
to the most recent two games onthis seventeen game winning streak. The sixteenth
game the Admirals at Manitoba last Saturdayafternoon. The Admirals pitched their fourth straight

(36:07):
shutout on the road. All theyneeded was in the first period from Phil
Thomasino livingstone at the near hash marksto the front of his goal for Stasney.
Spencer Stasney ships it on the leftwing wall to the red line.
Tyrel Bauer knocks it down a Parsonand tipped it away from him and now

second shot on goal for the Admirals, Milwaukee has taken a one nothing lead.
The Admirals held Manitoba in that gameto a season low fourteen shots against
the best number of the Admirals haveput up. This yere four nothing win.
And then of course yesterday was atough one, but the Admirals found
a way to win on this unbelievableeffort at the end. So again this

(36:53):
comes back to a lot of luck, a lot of heart, and a
lot of skill and a lot ofdetermination. All of that in this one
play that led to the game winnerin a four to three win. Giovanni
fell down, turned it over theAdmirals O'Reilly left point Stashney, his stick

The other way. Footy pushes itinto the net at six forty three,
his seventh of the year. TheAgirls have a four to three lead.

The Admirals win four to three thefinal. The YAROSLVA Scarff, with
his thirteenth straight win, tied withTroy Grossnik for the franchise all time best,
both of them with thirteen straight wins. Currently, the Admirals will try

a row. The Admins are wonfour straight, lost that one December thirty
