in the league, uh, youare now a staunch Eagles fan and uh,
I guess us. I'm gonna goaround the room, all right,
I'd like to know what you guysthink is our biggest weakness right now?
Where do we need to focus thisdraft? Keeping in mind, right now

we only have what six picks,six picks? Six picks. We just
did swap picks in the third roundwith Arizona as part of the grievance that
happened with what was that Jonathan Gannon? Yeah, with the hiring. Uh
so what grievance? Well, it'sso they they were doing something as far
as trying to hire him. Sotoo early. Champer because you're champering because
of the investigation. Now the Eagles, you mean, you'd be the reason

why Jonathan Gannon had his head upas ass pup during the Super Bowl exclusion.
But but the Eagles win. TheEagles had pick in the third round.
They now have the sixty sixth pick, So now they have four picks
in the top sixty six picks ofthe draft. That's huge. That's not
bad at all. Before the show, I would have given them a draft
pick to take Candy. They doa lot better in the second round they

do the first round. Anyway,what's our biggest weakness right now? The
biggest weakness, where do we needto focus this first pick, if we're
going to if we're going to usethis tenth pick, or somewhere in that
general vicinity. Where would you liketo see them target? Well, first
of all, I would like tosee them select if he's available, Bijean

Robinson. There's a numero. There'sa number of reasons why. Let me
start with this draft in its entirety, all of the athletes that are coming
out, this is a an averagedraft. If you look at the town
all of those who are available,and you were to pair them up with
other drafts, some of these catsthat are being drafted in the higher rounds

(09:46):
would not be drafted in the higherrounds. So this is an average draft.
You don't have a lot of playerswho are coming out who you consider
they're going to be, you know, Hall of famers. Bijon Robinson is
considered to be the best player inthe draft. He's also being talented or
being revered as the least likely tobe a bust in the draft. So

(10:13):
nobody because of this draft in theNFL, No team in the NFL is
going to increase their talent or goto another level, uh exponentially because of
this draft and an at a greathigh level. So because Bijon is the
talent that he is, and becauseof the stats and all of that,

(10:35):
and the fact that what he doeswill really enhance the Eagles offense being great
a great offense as it is Bijonis the answer because he takes this offense
that the Eagles have, which isa great offense. Don't get me wrong,
it's a great offense already, buthe takes it through the stratosphere.
He just takes it to another level. So he's not the need. He's

(10:56):
not or running back is not theweak spot for the Eagles right now,
although we do need a running back. But if we can get this guy
who was an exceptional running back andput him in this exceptional offense, it
takes this team offensively, the Eaglesout of the stratosphere. No one will
be able to handle what they presenton the field in terms of talent.

I was just gonna pick audio forsaying this is not what we need,
but you address that, Zack ahead. No. I know we were going
to go around the room, butI figured I might as well just stay
on the top, to stay onthe topic, because I'm the same way
as you are. The last yearwhen we did the players Show that Tuesday
night after that Vikings game, andQuimby went down to the table and we
had a lot of great things,a lot of positive things to talk about,

and you know, he gave meJalen Hurts, and I was like,
he played a great game, buthe put himself in harm's way too
many times with the safeties and thelinebackers when he's running the ball. I
think he ran the ball about onehundred and eighty times last year and he
got hurt pretty bad. That couldhave costed us making it to the Super
Bowl to begin with. It costedI was going to say, but it's

okay, it's all right. Hedidn't courage exactly. It's okay, yeah,
yeah, he done costed us thegame day. Where's my baseball?
It's an a dictionary in a dictionary. But we would have we went out.
I have gone to the Super Bowllast year if he didn't come back,
and you could tell that he stillwasn't the same through those playoff games

until we got to the Super Bowl, and even then you were trying to
manage it. The best way toprotect him is not bringing in a guard
with the tenth pick with Pete Scarronsky. The best way to protect him is
taking the ball out of his handsas much as possible by running the football
with an actual running back that canmake plays. The guy is a stud.
He is a Beast handed off andlet him run. And what happens

is it's gonna pull safety down andleave single coverage on Goddard Brown and DeVante
Smith do it perfect formula, can'tdo it? Yep, all right,
go ahead, slash. I wasgonna say, I mean, do you
want Miles Sanders carried the ball twohundred and sixty times last year? Is
Bijean Robinson gonna carry it five hundredtimes to take it out of Jalen Hurts
And he's gonna carry it just asmany times as Miles Sammy's. But he's

gonna do more with it than he'shad four he had five yards to carry.
I don't know what. I don'tknow what we're missing here. Jalen
Hurts is gonna be Jalen Hurts.You're not gonna take the ball. Hurt
gets four yards after the carriage,jal after Jalen Hurts all yards after contact.
But but what Sack is alluding tois you're putting Jalen Hurts in Harm's

way by giving him the ball somuch so, giving Bejean Robinson the ball
even more limits his running. JalenHurts is running, which is eliminating his
ability to get hurt. That's notgonna happen. Jalen Hurts is gonna be
Jalen Hurts and be that two wayplayer. Bejean gives the defense more to
think about, more to be concernedabout, more to get you. I

just think you don't draft the luxuryat ten when he of glaring needs on
the You draft a luxury when wheneverything else is set and you look at
the quarterback situation the NFC, thisright here separates the Eagles that much further
from everybody else in the NFC.And you just paid him fifty million dollars
a year. You have to feelthat you have to give him as many

weapons to make this offense success andso he doesn't wind up like Cam Newton
and he doesn't wind up had threeor four design run plays per game.
Well, this is what run.Who's the best quarterback in the NFC.
Who has the best offensive line inthe NFC Eagles, Who has the best
wide receiver do in the NFC Eagles? Okay, well, so why do
you need more? Why do youneed to because on defense, all right,

they're gonna give up thirty points agame. First of all, all
right, you guys are absolutely batcrap crazy, thank you. All right.
Last time the Eagles selected a runningback in the first round was what
year, nineteen eighty six? Allright, so how about trying I'm sorry,
hold on, I would have donethat. Shut the hell up.

So when has this team ever everunder this particular ownership, suggested that they
would want a running back centric offense. It wouldn't be running back centric,

but they did. And it's awaste. If Christian it's a waste.
If Christian McCaffrey would have made itto fourteen in twenty seventeen, Christian McCaffrey
would have been an Eagle. It'sironclad it was going to happen. They're
not against doing it in the firstround. Ideally, for me, the
Eagles trade from ten to thirteen orfourteen, get another second or third round
pick, or you know, geta couple more picks, and God's drafted

Bejan Robins and then you take BejanRobinson in the middle of the first round.
That would be the ideal place todo it, because that's where the
necessary that's where the need becomes necessary. At that point, well, if
this cat is he got all runningbacks that you guys say he is.
Why is he gonna fall in themiddle of the first round because other teams

that draft drafting needs, Yeah,they have other needs like quarterback. Really
and he may eat and he mayand he may not make it to the
middle of the first round. Sowhat if the Bears may take this one?
Please? The Bears could use itrunning back. Earth. Honestly,
it sucks, but I think youstill have to go d tackle, all

on my list already today, allright. Fact of the matter is you
got Fletcher Cox on the one yeardeal when you got a Jordan Davis that
is a absolute troublesome cat in thelocker room. Okay, so what does

first round, which is why youneed to bolster up the D line in
the first place. Mistake twice Wellinvited you into the studio will not happen
again, So we won't be makingthat what has gotten the Eagles in the

Cox gone, all right, you'restarting deep tackles. Are Jordan Davis and

Milton Williams. All right, thisteam does focus heavily on the trenches,
and especially if we have not seenthis over the years, specifically defensive tackle
Javon Hargrave, Malik Jon Malee Jackson. Alright, Tim Jurnagan, alright,

this team focuses heavily on that.And I think it's a smart move simply
because you're going to get a guy. Let's just say we are. We
already know the pick, all right, it's Jalen Carter. If they can
get them, that's what they want, I believe. All do you want
them to fall to ten? I'lltake him at eight. Trade up,
But here's trade up, straight up. But here's the deal, all right.

What you didn't get with Jernigan,what you didn't get with Malie Jackson,
what you didn't get with jay VonHargrave was a rookie contract. And
now that you've had to pay yourquarterback, fifty million I get at the
dead cap is pretty light the firstcouple of years, But you have to
consider that moving forward, especially ifthat is the position of focus always on

(18:30):
your team. If you can loadthat up with two rookies for the next
four years, that's what I'm doingthe problem is what gets the Eagles into
troubles when they're drafting Need in thefirst round. Now, if you have
an opportunity at ten and he fallsyou to ten, you probably take Jayalen
Carter. There's probably what they're planningon doing. If he gets passed Seattle
at five, he can get prettyinteresting between six and nine if they're going

to trade into those positions. Here'sthe most important question. Do you think
the Eagles are actually going to pickat ten, if anything, trade back.
I don't see them trade. They'regonna try, and they're gonna try
and to add more picks. Butbut if you're looking at by Need and
Jalen Carter's not there for him tobe drafted at ten, you don't trade
up. The next best defensive tackleis a guy that you can get but
pick thirty Collegia Cancy. So likeyou want to sit there and say you

need defensive tackle just because you needit, doesn't mean you need to take
it at ten. You need totake a position of a value, someone
that's gonna plug in and play fromday one. I don't want these guys
that are gonna come in here likeI'm here Paris Johnson Junior. Like he's

and the year after that. LaneJohnson should be paying for the next two
