there's a lot to talk about. By the way in
front of us right now, Mom and Dean Nakobe Dean's mom,
uh as she is excellent. Nikita is one one cool chick, yes, sir,

(06:42):
and uh Jalen Carter's mom Tony will be here shortly
as well.

Speaker 4 (06:46):
They're gonna be uh.

Speaker 3 (06:47):
They are staple figures with UH with Green Legion at
this point.

Speaker 4 (06:50):
They want to be at the best place. So that
makes sense, of course.

Speaker 6 (06:53):
So before you get into the last week's game, let
me thank you UH this year.

Speaker 4 (06:57):
So we've done this several years.

Speaker 6 (07:01):
Right here we have and we've been combined for several years.
They've welcomed us on your part, we're the closest to
the exit. We can get out.

Speaker 4 (07:10):
I sat down.

Speaker 6 (07:11):
This place was set up an hour before it came up.
If you remember last year, you had me in an uber.

Speaker 4 (07:17):
Oh I know you were running. You were running to
the walmart to get headphones.

Speaker 6 (07:21):
Yeah, yeah, I injured my knee. I'm still taking celebrates
trying to cover from now.

Speaker 4 (07:25):
Yeah. Here we go.

Speaker 6 (07:26):
But so yeah, so everything is great. We are ready
uh to go ahead and get this win today. So
thank you and kudos to.

Speaker 4 (07:31):
You for for for for doing my job.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
Yes, sir, Yeah, it's a beautiful little setup. It's clean,
all the cables and cords are wrapped. It's it's perfect.
I just put my headphones on and we're ready to go.

Speaker 6 (07:44):
So thank you.

Speaker 4 (07:47):
You're Richard anyway, all right, So.

Speaker 3 (07:54):
The most glaring positive, I want to go over positives first,
all right, because, to be honest with you, I wasn't
I was pissed off, I was mad, I was angry
after that game. There's no reason, no reason Nakobe Dean
needed to seal that victory with an I int with
two minutes to go.

Speaker 4 (08:14):
It's that, I guess. The most the biggest.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
Positive or most glaring is the players continuing their momentum
despite some of the dumbest play calling I have seen
in quite some time.

Speaker 6 (08:28):
Weigh in, I cannot say enough negative things about this guy,
and you are so correct in talking about the players
winning in spite of fight. Yeah, so, Nick, Sirianni, let
me lead with this. He's a fanboy and you can

(08:50):
see that at the end of the press conference. So
at the start of the press conference last game, they said, hey, Nick,
you want to tell us about the two point conversions
and why you can up going for it. He spent
thirty seconds on that, and what he said was, well,
you know, we're just trying. If that didn't work, we'll
have to go to the next time. They asked him
about the Berkley play right three minutes he waxed philosophical

(09:12):
about how it was the greatest play he'd ever seen.

Speaker 3 (09:15):
Off of course, deflect, deflect, deflect, deflect, and.

Speaker 4 (09:18):
That's not even a football play. You don't want your
guy doing that. He gets cracked. He's out for the season.

Speaker 6 (09:23):
So my point is you are right winning in spite
of him, and he's too big of a fan for
the moment to coach this team.

Speaker 4 (09:30):
And let's hope we see better.

Speaker 5 (09:32):
There you go, You got Cap all fired up again.
We just calmed him down from last night.

Speaker 4 (09:37):
Yeah, let me let me back up. You're right dancing
waigh in? Please, what are we weighing on?

Speaker 7 (09:45):
Sorry, I'm watching I'm watching red Zone right now. I'm
so distracted this. Yeah, thanks, because you know you're gonna
have to hit the dump button at some point. I
know I probably will, but like red Zone's really good
right now, and there's a lot of stuff going on
all right, I'm paying a text.

Speaker 4 (09:59):
Lady, here you are sex weighing in on Nick Siriani.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
Oh gosh, you're weighing in on this team playing well
despite some of the dumbest play calling I have.

Speaker 4 (10:11):
Seen in my time.

Speaker 7 (10:12):
Yes, so is it the play calling your you're upset about?
Or I guess is it going forward? Is it like
just the decisions being made, because I think the play
calling has been okay, no.

Speaker 3 (10:21):
No, no, no, no no no no, I'll tell you
right now, and I've got I've got all this written down.

Speaker 4 (10:26):
But yet you don't take points off the board.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
You're up seventeen points, all right, seventeen points, that's three
that's three possessions, all right, at the very least, and
you take it off to go for it. And by
the way, a right, the push push not as effective.

Speaker 4 (10:47):
As it once was two years ago. Well we have
different players, Cam Zergen, No, no, it's not that, non Jason.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
Excellent people in analytics and coaching in the NFL will
find ways regardless of how seamless a play may seem,
they will find a way to stop it.

Speaker 4 (11:04):
And that's what they're starting to do now.

Speaker 3 (11:06):
I'm not I think Cam Jurgens is stronger than Jason Kelsey.
He's not a better player, but he's definitely stronger. All right,
So you're talking about that, you have Makai Becton. For
Christ's sake, this guy is a walking zip code.

Speaker 4 (11:23):
He is huge.

Speaker 3 (11:25):
He is bigger than Corey Simon's ass at five years in,
which is my medal at Corey Simon. Corey Simon didn't
have his own zip code. He had his own area code.
All right, So we're yeah, that's what I'm waiting. You know,
You're sorry, Janson. I'm going off on a ring here,

(11:45):
But you're up seventeen, You're up seventeen, and you take
that point off the board, and it makes no it
makes no sense. Plus plus it is a it has
to be a momentum builder for the other.

Speaker 4 (12:02):
Side, So please take Yeah.

Speaker 7 (12:05):
So I think in certain situations, like I think the
team has a lot to do with it. So Jacksonville, no,
maybe not go for it. Just get the points on
the board. Get a team like Jacksonville completely out of
the game because they're a bad football team. But I
think that stuff, those decisions going for it are things
that could help them win and secure a victory against
a team like maybe Detroit if they were to play

(12:27):
him in the NFC Championship game. I'm okay with aggression,
and I would have been okay with it in maybe
certain situations, but in that game specifically, like, I don't know,
I didn't. I didn't like it as much as I
usually do, going for it on fourth down.

Speaker 4 (12:40):
Yeah, they just felt like there was no need for
it because Jacksonville was already kind of dead in the water.
They were already they were already out of the game.

Speaker 3 (12:45):
Just keep him out of the game, and and and
and as we know, as soon as they took that
point off the board.

Speaker 4 (12:50):
Yeah, right, exactly. Yes, by the way, which which which
let's let's you know, let's go ahead, Sam, Well they
failed twice, so why are we still trying it. It's
not gonna work that game. Let's move on.

Speaker 3 (13:01):
Well that wasn't in all fairness, okay, The problem with
the Tousch push is you can't see where the ball is.
Officials can't see, replay can't see. To be honest, Jayalen
Hurtz was in We know that, all right. Let's not
talk about the other obscenely awful play call with the
say Quad Barkley fumble all right, So we're literally having,

(13:26):
you know, discussions about a game being close, which shouldn't
have been, even with the missed attempts at agression.

Speaker 4 (13:37):
So we say this all the time. Football is not hard, right.

Speaker 6 (13:40):
It's my guy, bigger, stronger and faster than you, and
it's me making the right decisions, not with analytics, but
with the momentum of the game. So Nick Sirianni needs
to either take the points or kick the ball and
pin them in their own inside and let your defense
do what it does.

Speaker 3 (13:59):
At every kid that's twelve year old knows that about football.
I would have say this, and this has always bothered me.
You're on offense, you know the play call, you know
what's coming.

Speaker 4 (14:17):
You should be winning that bat.

Speaker 3 (14:23):
And Carmen listening at home, go birds, baby, I'm actually
a little pissed off they didn't have more points on the.

Speaker 4 (14:35):
Board to take off prior to that. But all right,
well you know what, yeah, twenty two to six, fourth
and three. Instead of taking the points, he calls a
badness side. The time you decide to kick a field
goal is a fifty eight yarder right after I and
your kicker the whole game.

Speaker 3 (14:55):
Who ice is their own fan kid, your gang cat
fired up again. Yeah, because you're not going to beat
a Detroit if you play like this, if you play
call like this, it's not going to happen.

Speaker 4 (15:12):
Sorry.

Speaker 6 (15:12):
Okay, So are we gonna move to the positives or
we're gonna take a break.

Speaker 4 (15:17):
We're not taking a break? Okay, good, all right? So yeah, positives.

Speaker 3 (15:23):
This is the third week in a row Saquan has
had more rushing attempts than at.

Speaker 4 (15:31):
The ball run the ball birds finally figured it out.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
It only took you, Jeffrey, It only took you thirty years, dog,
but you figured it out, all right, my man? Uh,
he was Offensive Player of the Week once again. Money NFC,
I go out to different Yes he was all right.
That's three weeks now, twenty seven carries for one hundred

(15:53):
and fifty nine yards and a touchdown, along with the
greatest fourteen yard run in the history of football and
the greatest opportunity for a bad coach to deflect questions.

Speaker 6 (16:06):
Right, So about this running and the rushing attempts, right,
So since the bye week, we're two one two to
one running plays, uh to passing plays, right, And I've
said this to.

Speaker 4 (16:20):
You, although although I'm gonna, I'm.

Speaker 3 (16:21):
Gonna, I'm gonna, I'm gonna edit what you're gonna say
because I don't I still don't want to.

Speaker 4 (16:26):
See Jalen Hurts running the ball twelve times.

Speaker 6 (16:29):
Agree, But by running, I mean with the guy designed
to run in his name, it's called running back. That's
what I'm talking about. But that's not two to one.

Speaker 3 (16:39):
Your your your second leading rusher on the team is
Jalen Hurts in both yards and a TEPS.

Speaker 4 (16:44):
Okay, well we need to we need to fix that,
but we're getting We're getting there.

Speaker 6 (16:47):
But my point is this could the challenge to date
has been, you know, what's the identity of this team?

Speaker 4 (16:54):
What is it that we do.

Speaker 6 (16:55):
The mistakes in the past have been we're a big
play and I put that in quotes, and we're a
I put this in quotes explosive offense, right, And when
those things aren't there, the team doesn't perform very well
because you're three and out and the defense are on
their heels. So if you're now being a run first team,
then you can control the rest.

Speaker 4 (17:16):
Of the things that are going on.

Speaker 6 (17:17):
I'm starting to see Tellen more passes where in the
middle of the field, and then I'm taking targeted shots
on the outside, not letting the end.

Speaker 3 (17:27):
And by commanding this, you're Scots, which has to keep
the defense honest, right, But you're taking.

Speaker 6 (17:34):
Them when you want to instead of when the defense
determines that you take or when you have to fair enough,
and either way we're winning that matchup. Going back to
being bigger, stronger, faster a j I'm gonna take my
guys on the outside every single time.

Speaker 3 (17:51):
Actually, it's kind of it's kind of awesome how that works, right, Jansen.

Speaker 4 (17:57):
I want you to weigh in on this.

Speaker 3 (17:58):
When you're commanding the running attack, when you're controlling the clock,
for God's sake, thank you, thank you for continuing to
control the clock over this four game win streak.

Speaker 4 (18:10):
You're learning. It only took you thirty years, but you're learning,
all right.

Speaker 3 (18:16):
You can absolutely fool a defense because they have to
play the run.

Speaker 4 (18:23):
They have to play the run. So you've got over
the last two games.

Speaker 3 (18:29):
You have three deep balls to Davante, and we're gonna
get into Devontaey before.

Speaker 4 (18:33):
This is all over because he's my man. Yeah, I'm
gonna turn your mic off, all right, Sorry, sorry, just
make shut up. Shut up. I'm comfortable in my manhood.
Shut up, header super Dave Osborne, all right, chance and
weigh in on this.

Speaker 3 (18:54):
Weigh in on when you command the running game and
you control the clock, you could take shots down field
and they're almost impossible to defend.

Speaker 4 (19:05):
Yeah, it makes things so much harder to defend.

Speaker 7 (19:07):
And I think more of it what you're saying too,
the over the top stuff, Like I think Jalen Hurts
is a really good deep ball thrower. I think the
Eagles have two really good playmakers that can make those kinds.

Speaker 4 (19:16):
Of plays too.

Speaker 7 (19:17):
But it helps so much more when you know safeties
have to be looking at the running back. Linebackers have
to be looking at the running back. They have to
be looking at in the backfield. At Saquon Barkley, that
opens up one of Jalen hurts Like biggest I think
weaknesses is throwing in the middle of the field. That
opens up the middle of the field when linebackers are
looking strictly at Saquon Barkley said the running game, it

(19:39):
opens so much up. I think you're right in controlling
the clock too, not just controlling the clock. I feel
like you control the game when you control the line
of scrimmage. You control it with the running game. That
kind of physicality, to me, is a very controlling thing
for a football team to do. And if you have
that in your bag that you can constantly go to,
those are easy yards, those are easy ways. Know, you

(20:00):
don't have to put the ball in harm's way. You
don't have to throw the ball forty fifty times. That
is such a luxury to have, and I think they have.
It's it's an amazing thing.

Speaker 3 (20:10):
Interrupting and I apologize, but you know why why are
Jalen hurts his turnovers down?

Speaker 4 (20:18):
Because we own the ground gate. Yes, yep, we own
the ground game. That's it. You're you just said it. John.

Speaker 3 (20:25):
You know you're not putting Jalen in harm's way. You're
not putting him in a situation where he can fail.
And that is that's it's kind of a it's kind of.

Speaker 4 (20:34):
Impressive right one on one.

Speaker 6 (20:36):
Our guys win their matchups and that's the position you
want to put him in now for me and people talking, yes, agree, Yeah,
he's uh, there's a jack as trying to put a
drink on the table. Imagine that.

Speaker 4 (20:50):
So during a radio show, he can't let it go
sorry now kicking this guy out? No, no, no, no,
no no.

Speaker 3 (20:56):
These guys are these guys are excellent people.

Speaker 4 (21:00):
Sameir five, that's crew five. That's right, due attacks five,
P five, P five in the house.

Speaker 3 (21:09):
By the way, Abby, you'd be really really attractive if
you were taller.

Speaker 4 (21:15):
Jeez, what's wrong with you? What does the matter with you?

Speaker 3 (21:20):
Quinby our friend? No, our friend, Abby's our friend. Abby's
like six to two six two d Yeah.

Speaker 4 (21:26):
Everything.

Speaker 3 (21:27):
I'm not going to break. I'm not going to break yet.
It's even one twenty. I kept saying it, and I'll continue.

Speaker 4 (21:32):
Well, here we go.

Speaker 3 (21:33):
Uh with Saquon, I want to add another forty yards
in the air with three receptions in a touchdown.

Speaker 4 (21:38):
This guy is a machine, all right.

Speaker 3 (21:40):
Jalen Hurts once again another impressive performance with eighteen for
twenty four passing for two hundred and thirty yards, two touchdowns,
no interceptions.

Speaker 4 (21:47):
This is awesome. Right, but sorry, if you think I'm
giving up on this, there's no way in hell. All right,
I keep saying it. I'll continue to say so. Turn
his mic off.

Speaker 3 (21:58):
Nope, Vonte Smith is still the best receiver on this team.
I love aj stop it, but there's something very special
about the Vonte Chris Brout running fast, can contort his
body to stay in bounds, love enough to get two
feet down.

Speaker 4 (22:13):
You see this two times over the shoulder.

Speaker 3 (22:16):
Enzo catches in as many weeks, and this latest one
happened to be with one hand. These are beautiful times
regardless of what's happening. Whereas with wins versus losses, because
we just haven't had this type of receiver tandem ever,
you have to agree with me.

Speaker 5 (22:34):
A little bit awareness is unbelievable, undeniable, incredible.

Speaker 4 (22:40):
I'll give you it. So Jasen just got and hold
his mic so.

Speaker 6 (22:47):
Like Kanye, I let you finish, right, And I will
agree with you about Davonte his route running, feet and hands.
He is not the best receiver on this team. He
is not big enough, strong enough, or aggressive enough to
overtake a J.

Speaker 4 (23:04):
And I point you.

Speaker 6 (23:06):
Only to one play in New Orleans. That ball phone
in the dead center of the field. He lets himself no, No,
I let you finish.

Speaker 4 (23:16):
I let you finish.

Speaker 6 (23:17):
Does a J.

Speaker 4 (23:18):
Brown catch that ball?

Speaker 6 (23:20):
Yes?

Speaker 7 (23:20):
Or no?

Speaker 3 (23:22):
Devonte did catch that ball. So I don't know what
your argument is. DeVante did catch that ball. We got
he got concussed. You're talking about the play where you got.

Speaker 4 (23:35):
In That was an interception, was it not? No, Jensen,
was that an interception? I No, I don't think that was.
DeVante was carrying the ball.

Speaker 3 (23:46):
You're talking about the play where he got decapitated.

Speaker 4 (23:48):
And then ask yeah, no, I think he had the bomb.
He had the ball. That was a reception, so nice try.

Speaker 7 (23:55):
But but.

Speaker 4 (23:57):
Wasn't that one? But to his there are things.

Speaker 7 (24:01):
There are things that AJ Brown can do on a
football field that Davante just can't.

Speaker 4 (24:05):
I think, quim me what I do get. What I
do get is Davante are things on the football field
that Devonte Smith can do that AJ can.

Speaker 7 (24:12):
It's sort of like technically, yes, I think fundamentally, DeVante
Smith is maybe a better receiver. I get why people
would like him more. Obviously, it comes down to preferences.
I think DeVante Smith does the little things a little
bit better. He's a better route runner, things like that.
But I don't think you can take away how big
of a playmaker AJ Brown is. DeVante Smith is that

(24:33):
AJ Brown is much better at that. AJ Brown makes
a quarterbacks life ten times easier with the way that
he plays because he can take the simple passes and
make them big plays. That is amazing. Davante can do
it a little bit, not in the same way that
aj Brown can. It's just he's too much of a
game changer for me to just dismiss it, because, yeah,
I don't know if he is a better route runner
Devonte Smith, but he does all those things other things

(24:55):
makes the small stuff so big, and that's a huge
thing for anybody, any quarterback.

Speaker 3 (25:01):
And we're gonna continue to debate this when we come
back from break everybody. Echelon Health and Fitness, located in

No no, no, no, no, no no no, I got this.
No wow, hold on, do that again. That sounded good,
but that was much better than you. Whimmy, Let him go,
let him cook. Wow, go ahead, do it again. What's up? Everybody?
Happy Eagles game day? Right down here in Dallas with
the Green Legion. I am positive Philly on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 6 (26:48):
Right here.

Speaker 4 (26:49):
We are hold on good, start brother, and you are
replaced quimby. Yeah good. I'd like to quit right now.
That's acceptable, everybody.

Speaker 3 (26:57):
Green Legion Radio is broadcast of the Fox Sports Free
Games Show one o two point five FM, Philadelphia, brought
to you by our friends at Cheerleaders Gentlemen's Club and
for this segment, brought to you by Positive Philadelphia.

Speaker 4 (27:07):
Were Positive Philly. Let's go.

Speaker 7 (27:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (27:10):
My name is Michael Positive, Philly.

Speaker 8 (27:11):
I'm a Philly sports content creator and I'm down here
in Dallas for the first time with the Green Legion.
I'll tell you, I've always wanted to come down to Dallas,
always went to see at and T Stadium, and nobody
does it better than Green Legion. There are a lot
of great Philly sports travel Incies, travel agencies out there,
uh Philly sports trips, fans a Philly Green Legion.

Speaker 4 (27:29):
They are all great. But I'm telling you I'm having
a great time down here in Dallas with the Green Legion.
We we we can't get much closer to the stadium
than where we are right. We are literally right across
the street from the stadium. Do you understand what you
have to walk through? Unfortunately to get there? Jerry Terry's world.
But we'll be walking out chain Eagles.

Speaker 3 (27:46):
So yeah, I believe it'll be all right, all right,
so real quick, all right, uh again, I'm not gonna
have the argument with captain anymore.

Speaker 4 (27:54):
No no no no no no no no no no
no no no no go ahead.

Speaker 6 (27:56):
Lets your apology be as out kiss as you're ESPN.
Google is free, my friend, end of the front. What's
crazy is you were you were sitting next to me.
That's the crazy thing.

Speaker 4 (28:08):
I'm always sitting next to you. Correct.

Speaker 6 (28:10):
So into the first quarter, pick up Google, Third and
eight at the New Orleans eleven shotgun Jalen hurt pass
short middle entendled four who DeVante Smith intercepted by T.

Speaker 4 (28:23):
Math decapitated who intercepted by T. Mathow. My point is
AJ Brown makes that catch.

Speaker 7 (28:32):
Now you.

Speaker 4 (28:34):
Contend you don't tell me there was an interesting make
that catch in the zone. Yeah, getting both feet down.

Speaker 2 (28:41):
No no, no, you know that's not that.

Speaker 4 (28:45):
We're not talking about what ifs on that one there.
There's a mistake here with your receiver. AJ would have
made the catch. You can get out of this radio
show now, too. Okay, thank you sir, Thank you sir.

Speaker 6 (28:56):
But we're talk They tried to tell me there was
not an interception by Theante Smith, and the point is
aj Brown bigger and stronger.

Speaker 4 (29:04):
Catches that ball.

Speaker 3 (29:05):
Of course, we like Chip Kelly's reference bigger and stronger
players push smaller players around.

Speaker 4 (29:11):
I get it, Jansen, You are you Are you buying
this crap or not? Am I buying that CRAPM No,
I am not. I don't think so. You're two to one.
You suck all right.

Speaker 3 (29:29):
By the way, Grant Calcatara, once again showing why he
was drafted, steems pretty deep giggody.

Speaker 4 (29:36):
Really, he's a really just solid pass catcher. I like
what I like.

Speaker 7 (29:41):
I like watching him as a route runner pass catcher.
He's good at it. He's not blocking is a big
thing with him. But Grant Calcatara is a very very
smooth pass catcher.

Speaker 4 (29:51):
You want to hear something funny.

Speaker 3 (29:52):
He was a guest on the Green Leeds and Radio
Players show at Live Casino a couple of years ago.

Speaker 7 (29:56):
That's right, nubs called nubs because small hands. Jesus, Yeah
that is terrible.

Speaker 3 (30:05):
Hey, but hands catch football very well yet yet get
that guy could catch everything.

Speaker 6 (30:11):
So, so what I like about him is it allows
you to use the phrase next man up. It actually
works in his it does it? Does now unlike Gainwell
at the running back position. And I'm gonna get this
later on, but uh, you cannot use next man up
to him because he.

Speaker 4 (30:31):
Doesn't do anything and the dfoll hold the phone.

Speaker 3 (30:35):
Remember you also missing Jordan my Alotta all right, last
couple of weeks, all right here here he got Fred
Johnson over there, and while he can I like Fred.
I like Fred, but I'm not gonna You know, Kenny
Gainwell is not sick Quon Barkley.

Speaker 4 (30:51):
But you know what, we gotta move. We gotta move
on the team.

Speaker 7 (30:55):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (30:55):
For sport turnovers makes.

Speaker 3 (30:57):
Me happy, especially seeing special teams make it that loud
pop the first chance Jacksonville had the ball.

Speaker 4 (31:04):
Here we go on defense. I don't know where Nikita
Dean is, Mama Dean, but.

Speaker 3 (31:10):
You guys gotta move the drinks. Gotta move the drinks.
Gotta move the drinks. Now you're good right there. Just
don't want anything spilling here. Appreciate and you're wearing At
least we know what drinks are flowing. Plenty of plenty
of drinks out there, very well, very well.

Speaker 2 (31:24):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (31:24):
By the way, I don't know if you guys are
aware of this stat last week the Jaguars had one
first down in the first half, one first out. Yeah,
that's a bad football team. It's an awful football team.
But do let them get back it again. Let's say
I can't tell by the way it ended, but is
it safe to say that we have linebackers again?

Speaker 7 (31:46):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (31:46):
I think that's very safe to say.

Speaker 3 (31:49):
Zach Bawd continues to play out of his mind. Ten
tackles went for a loss at an interception that could
be Dean continues to get better at this defense. Only
had two tackles but a game saving in reception. Give
me those stats from my, my, my, my primary linebackers
every week. Josh sweat back to possessed with two sacks

(32:09):
and two tackles for a loss. Chris Randolph here, everybody
uh leading the team now with five sacks and on
pace for double digit sacks for the first time in
a couple of years. Cooper, he's once again everywhere in coverage.
Go ahead, Michael Cooper. De gene has been playing amazing,
Like you said, every year in coverage. I expect him
to be all over that Cowboys offense today, especially considering

(32:31):
the fact that they're starting to rush over that.

Speaker 4 (32:32):
Do we do we know if CD is playing because
I heard he was questionable. I believe he is. I
think he is. Yeah, you is he.

Speaker 7 (32:39):
I don't think it's a coincidence, by the way, that
the defense.

Speaker 4 (32:44):
I don't. I don't think it's say.

Speaker 7 (32:45):
Coincidence that the defense got better once Cooper de Jean
started playing a lot more, and I think even once
Quinnion Mitchell got a few few games under his belt,
those two have been difference makers on defense. Yes, linebackers too,
Like I don't want to take too much credit away
from how how great Zach Bond has been because I
think he's been one of the best linebackers in the league.

Speaker 4 (33:03):
But again, I don't think it's coincidence.

Speaker 7 (33:05):
Like everything got better and especially coverage got better once
Cooper to Gen and QUINNYA. Mitchell, your first two round
draft picks started playing a lot better.

Speaker 4 (33:13):
I think they've been difference makers big time on defense.

Speaker 3 (33:16):
Once again, Zach Bond on place for on pace. Sorry
for one hundred and sixty eight tackles this year.

Speaker 4 (33:23):
That is a Pro Bowl season.

Speaker 3 (33:24):
The only problem is, you know he's here on that
one year mercenary deal and you know he's not getting paid,
so everybody take advantage of Zach Bond while you have him,
because he'll be gone next year.

Speaker 6 (33:34):
All right, I figured out what his superpower is. I
was watching the replay yesterday days. Well, he shaves it
because he suffers like me from male pattern baldness. So
he hadn't let loose in that game, big old empty
patch in the middle.

Speaker 4 (33:51):
You know, he rolled up to the scene with the
ceiling misses and he's been playing good. Everybody before I
start ripping his coach apart.

Speaker 3 (34:00):
Michael Gibbons, Yes, sir, all right, got you got a
little bit of time here, talk about what you do.

Speaker 4 (34:05):
Appreciate you being here.

Speaker 8 (34:06):
I will say I didn't see anything on CD land,
but Michael Parsons is returning today of that Cowboys team.

Speaker 4 (34:10):
Obsoid with that. He never plays well against us. Uh yeah,
so like you.

Speaker 3 (34:13):
By the way, Washington is up against Pittsburgh seventeen to fourteen.

Speaker 4 (34:17):
That scares me. Yeah, Washington, great team.

Speaker 8 (34:19):
We obviously played them next week Thursday night football at
the Lank, But we gotta focus on beating them, Dallas
Cowboys down here to dad.

Speaker 4 (34:26):
Well, let's focus on what you do talk to people about. Yeah,
my name is Michael Positive Philly.

Speaker 8 (34:30):
I'm on all social media TikTok, Instagram, Positive Hilly on Facebook.
You can find me Positive Flip Productions as well as
you two Positive Flick Productions. You know, I'm just the
toy sports content creator covering all the toy sports teams
and I'm down here enjoying myself in Dallas watching the
Eagles to beat the Cowboys later on the day with
the Green Legion.

Speaker 4 (34:48):
Awesome. Uh, somebody wants to work with you? Or where
we got a little girl, you know, telling us that
the Eagles sow. But I get you. You're a beautiful
young lady. It's okay, it's okay. Sounds like a fun
tailgate out there.

Speaker 3 (35:08):
I'm going to continue to smile while your mom has
bad parenting skills.

Speaker 8 (35:11):
Yeah, we're about to call CPS on this, all right, Cue,
I appreciate you for having me on.

Speaker 3 (35:18):
I think you need to get a drink, go to
the bar. She was about what three four years old?
She's like adorable. You know, hey, it wouldn't be fun
if we were all fans of the same team. That
is so all right, let's get through it. But you
don't have to be a fan of Dallas, though you
don't need you right. By the way, Q's name was

(35:40):
not heard at all last Sunday.

Speaker 4 (35:42):
You know why.

Speaker 3 (35:43):
Bobby Taylor's syndrome. Baby, all right, Bobby Taylor syndrome. Hey,
everybody wants him to get his first interception. I don't
give a single crap. I prefer to continue to not
hear his name because nobody throws his way. He is
blink coverage. He is everything that we will And you're right, Michael,

(36:04):
you said this earlier with with Quinnon, Mitchell and and
Cooper de Jean.

Speaker 4 (36:09):
They're both having amazing they are they are studs.

Speaker 8 (36:12):
I'll tell you Cooper de gene with a steal by
getting Quinnon in the first round and having both of
them together in the sequels defense.

Speaker 4 (36:17):
His past nine weeks have been amazing.

Speaker 3 (36:18):
It's like the Sheper, the Leedo Shepherd.

Speaker 4 (36:23):
Uh oh god, same draft, second round Sheldon Uh No, Yeah,
they weren't. Were they in the same draft? Leader Shepherd
and Sheldon Brown?

Speaker 3 (36:35):
They were leados at Sheldon Brown were the same draft
hundred percent right.

Speaker 4 (36:39):
That's a heck of a draft. Can we agree on that?
Nobody wants to talk about that.

Speaker 3 (36:43):
I'm pretty sure that it's unfortunately anyway, Nick Sirianni, how
far down does the Sirianni rabbit hole go?

Speaker 4 (36:53):
Never take points off the board? All right?

Speaker 3 (36:55):
There was a point in that game last week where
it was twenty two to sixteen and it should have
been thirty to sixteen. A bad play call on fourth
and three, and I continued bad play calling. I I
is there, here's what I want to know, and then
we're gonna move on. Is there metrics for this? Or
is this just fly by the seat of your pants? Jansen?

Speaker 7 (37:15):
You start od I'm looking up to see if Sheldon
Brown and Leedo Shepherd we're in the same draft.

Speaker 4 (37:22):
Guarantee there were? They both in so two thousand and
two Leader Shepherd was drafted, by the way, do you
know Leedo Shepherd ran a four to eight and the
forty yard dash?

Speaker 3 (37:32):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (37:33):
And then Sheldon Brown second round two thousand and two.

Speaker 3 (37:35):
Yeah, that's the same draft. Dang, I told you whoa please,
that's a head contrast. Lido still runs that fast from
his ex wife.

Speaker 4 (37:45):
Oh geez, yeah, why would you have to bring that
into play?

Speaker 3 (37:51):
What was that for?

Speaker 4 (37:53):
I love Leedo Leedo and I had uh Ledo was
a heck? Of a football player.

Speaker 3 (38:01):
All right, So around the league, let's get to that.
Cowboys continuing to craft the bed. Question about whether or
not Denver was a contender may have been answered in
a hard way, Dolphin showing a little fight, Washington continues
to piss us off. Anybody want to talk about any
of those games?

Speaker 2 (38:22):
Now?

Speaker 8 (38:22):
I just know Washington loses to Pittsburgh, so you know,
I mean, obviously it's pretty clear at this point Eagles
or Washington is going to be winning this division at
the end of the season.

Speaker 4 (38:30):
Hopefully it's US. Thursday Night is going to say a
lot against Washington in Philly. Captain, Is Washington that good
of a team? You live down there? I know you
love them. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (38:38):
Well, they're doing the things that football teams have to do,
which is to win the games you should win and
then get lucky when you should. And I think what
we're seeing is the importance of ownership and how everything
else from that trickles down. So they've gotten a good
owner that's in place, that's had success in other sports.

(38:58):
He's hired the right people, uh to draft and then
to coach the team, and then the players are performing.
So you can't really say enough about that, and you're
seeing kind of similar things happen in Detroit.

Speaker 4 (39:12):
So let's hope, bringing it back to the Eagles.

Speaker 6 (39:15):
That we take advantage of our ownership, our GM and
get the coach square the FAA so we can go ahead.

Speaker 7 (39:22):
And win some win some ball games. Chansen, Sorry, what
are we talking about? I am not paying attention to
very well.

Speaker 4 (39:32):
I want to talk. I want to talk about this.

Speaker 2 (39:34):
You can't.

Speaker 7 (39:35):
You doing the show during NFL during the one o'clock
games is distracting, very distracting.

Speaker 4 (39:41):
Yep, that is that? Oh yeah, because that was a
good So Washington. Yeah, Washington.

Speaker 7 (39:47):
Look, they they have issues defensively and I think it's
starting the show a little bit.

Speaker 4 (39:50):
And also the offense is slowing down there. They're beating Pittsburgh.

Speaker 7 (39:55):
They are beating Pittsburgh seven twenty fourteen. Densburgh just recover. No,
this is a Reces halftime. So but I think you're
starting to see that there are some issues with Washington.
I don't think Washington is as good as Philadelphia, and
especially because I think the Eagles defense is better. I
think the Eagles defense has shown so much improvement that
I think I can safely say they have a good defense.

Speaker 4 (40:17):
I don't know if I can say that.

Speaker 7 (40:18):
About Washington yet, Like, I don't know if I'm completely
convinced that Washington has that kind of defense to continue
this run and their offense can play this well over
and over again.

Speaker 6 (40:27):
So I do have a lot of questions about them. Well,
I mean, and I've been telling people in DC that
I've seen this movie. This movie played in twenty twelve
and we saw all that ended, but that was under
the last ownership Regeem. So you know, we'll see, as
I say, they're doing what they need to do on
their three hundred schedule to beat the teams they need

(40:48):
to beat and today and Thursday, or show a lot about.

Speaker 4 (40:52):
Where they're going or what they can be. Yeah, definitely.

Speaker 3 (40:57):
By the way, let's talk about aggressive real quick, because
you know, we had a we had a fantastic Thursday
night football game if you were if you were watching.

Speaker 4 (41:06):
But you know, Cincinnati's not out of the race.

Speaker 3 (41:13):
I mean, you know, they haven't been playing well. Uh
they you know, the t Higgins you know, hurts them
a little bit, but they're still they're still kind of
with it. Uh are you are you going for two?
Is that? Is that the plan of attack here to
get back in the race because I'm sorry, I don't

(41:36):
you know, maybe Baltimore was going down and scoring every time,
but I'm I'm kicking the extra point.

Speaker 4 (41:41):
I'm going to ot. So I like the play call
and I went back.

Speaker 6 (41:46):
So I watched the game, and I rarely watched football
outside the Eagles, but the ending of this game had me,
you know, rethinking the whole NFL is fixed thing. You
go back, there's a still there are three holding penalty
on the same play that is not called on that
two point two point try, and I think, just like

(42:08):
in the Eagle Super Bowl, you know, you either got
to make that call.

Speaker 4 (42:14):
And not in the game.

Speaker 6 (42:15):
In this case, that was a non call and Dan
did the game. So you got to give uh Cincinnati
a chance to win the game based on the play
that they called.

Speaker 4 (42:26):
Chance, and.

Speaker 7 (42:28):
I think they they definitely should have gone for two.
I did because this just came up with Kansas City
as well, that Tampa Bay or whoever it was should
not have gone for it, or should they should have
gone for it, and they didn't. I think not giving
Lamar Jackson a chance like is a good thing. I
think not giving Patrick Mahomes. A chance is a good thing,
So yes, it's okay to be aggressive in those situations.

(42:51):
I think putting the ball in your own hands and
winning the game with your play calling, with your offense,
with you kind of turning the fate of the game.
I'd rather do that with the ball in my possession
than with another team and just hoping and praying that
really great quarterbacks don't beat you.

Speaker 3 (43:11):
All right, you know what, Let's uh, let's take our
next break, try to get back on schedule here.

Speaker 4 (43:16):
I got to handle something real quick. Everybody.

Speaker 3 (43:20):
When you make the right decision, it feels good, like
picking the perfect furniture or choosing a good night's sleep

Great Lead to Radio is broadcast in the Fox Sports

Michael Gibbons, You, Lieutenant Colonel, Captain William that's John Jansen
back at studio. I'm quickie and we'll be back right
after this.

Speaker 4 (44:09):
If you get wager on it, we're talking about it.
It's the Gambler.

Speaker 3 (44:43):
Radios broadcast of the Fox Sports Pregame Show here on
one O two point five that fam Philadelphia. We were
talking about games that happened last week, but let's be honest,
the only game that really matters right now here's the
one that's coming up. So we're gonna talk about this
game right now, and then we're gonna have Kojata our
favorite segment, and I dug deep once again to provide

(45:07):
you with a lot of entertainment. Dig all right, So
here we go. We haven't won here since twenty seventy.
By the way, Captain Dems, you know, purveyor and the
most knowledgeable about all things Eagles football. Didn't remember the

(45:32):
name Ben Denucci. I did not did not remember Ben Danucci.

Speaker 4 (45:36):
I did not. Do you remember how awful Carson Wentz
was in that game? Do you remember how awful Carson
Wentz was? Yes, yes, yes, yeah, yeah yeah.

Speaker 7 (45:45):
That was the game though I remember specifically that was
the game where I realized, oh this this is never
getting better again.

Speaker 3 (45:51):
This is it.

Speaker 4 (45:52):
It's done.

Speaker 3 (45:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (45:54):
So that was the seventeen that was a Super Bowl year.
We spanking.

Speaker 2 (45:59):
That was was it?

Speaker 4 (46:00):
Ad? It didn't matter?

Speaker 7 (46:02):
Right?

Speaker 4 (46:04):
But well no, it actually did. Everybody balled out in
that game.

Speaker 6 (46:08):
So Carson he had two tds, but he only had
one hundred and sixty eight yards. But we had big
for We had four sacks. I think Barnett had two,
shocking league Graham had won. Jurgons had one, but we
had three interceptions. Darby, Jenkins and McLeod each had interceptions.
Then in the run game, I think we had a

(46:29):
Ji had like ninety yards and then Blount backed it
up with fifty seven. So that was a complete game
for all parties involved. And the last time we felt
good here. Sorry, uh Keith Michael, please, we're talking about
the last win here in twenty seventeen.

Speaker 2 (46:51):
Is we're on.

Speaker 4 (46:53):
I said, we were talking about the last win here
in twenty seventeen. Yeah, you know, it's crazy. The last
time that we beat Dallas was in twenty seven keen.

Speaker 8 (47:00):
Now, I feel really confident today, especially the fact that
Cooper Rush is starting for the Cowboys.

Speaker 4 (47:04):
I think that gives the Eagles an easy win today. Yeah,
he did beat us the last time, though, so he's
uh uh he's he's five and one as a starter
for the Cowboys.

Speaker 7 (47:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (47:16):
No, maybe he didn't beat us, So I think he's
five and one and we it's five and one.

Speaker 7 (47:20):
We were the ones that made him miss miss misremembering. Yeah, yeah,
not a radio right, Yeah, I think we are. But yes,
the Eagles have not been great in Dallas. But also
this is not that like that that thing that narrative

(47:40):
is there, but this is not one of those where
I think it's all that important because uh, yeah, Dallas
isn't what they they were in those past seven years.

Speaker 4 (47:48):
Uh, and it's not anything close to even what they
are this year.

Speaker 7 (47:51):
It's worse. I mean, they were already bad and now
it's gonna be even worse with Cooper Rush. There the
the slew of injuries that they've had. It's it's just
it's gonna be a really bad Alice team they're gonna
see today.

Speaker 6 (48:01):
But this is why coaching matters, right, So we should
be playing for two games this week and today, should
be get up early, have the game not in doubt
in quarter three, resting starters to play four days from
now in at home against DC.

Speaker 7 (48:22):
That is the wildcar with mixed Sirian Yeah, just be
nice in a game like this, Maybe you don't have
to lean too much on Saquon because Sequon is getting
a lot of carries and getting a lot of usage.
I think based on of necessity, you gotta pull that
back a little. Yeah, like there there there gotta be
times where maybe you can ease up. And I think
a lot of it too is you know, the games
have been close, they have needed him, but maybe you

(48:44):
don't need him in.

Speaker 4 (48:45):
The second half.

Speaker 7 (48:46):
Maybe you do get out to a good lead and
Saquon Barkley is a part of that, but rest him
a little bit, don't put him out there as much.
Kenny Gainwell can maybe take those just you know, eating
eating minutes up, eating the clock up.

Speaker 4 (48:57):
Kenny gainwell can take those carries.

Speaker 7 (48:59):
I just I think this could be a game where
you can play it all right, and you should be
winning by halftime, and at that point you don't have
to rely so much on somebody like Saquon to be
to be used as often as he has been.

Speaker 6 (49:12):
And look, here's why it's important that we win this
game today. So sitting at seven and two, four of
our next five are against the Commanders, La Rams, the Ravens,
and the Steelers right with Caroline, with the Panthers thrown
in right.

Speaker 4 (49:29):
So if you look at I don't know, say going.

Speaker 6 (49:32):
Two and two there and then closing up shop with
most of these games at home against the Panthers, the Steelers,
DC again, the Cowboys and the Giants, that rounds out
the season. But you mess around here and lose to
a bad Cowboys team that though some things influx that
you don't.

Speaker 3 (49:50):
Want to have to have happy, it's getting louder here
by the minute, by the second.

Speaker 4 (49:55):
That's a good thing.

Speaker 3 (49:57):
I think.

Speaker 4 (49:58):
I don't know if you've discussed this. I'm sorry I've
been a little distracted. Stop the run. Put Quinnon Mitchell
on ceedee lamb. They sound simple, but to me. That's
all you did to do. Yeah, I mean I think
Quenon you know, he can lock cduam up. You locked
up every otherwise receive that we played this year.

Speaker 3 (50:12):
You saw those stats, right, every premiere receiver that we
played against uh and Quinnon Mitchell's stats.

Speaker 2 (50:23):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (50:23):
The only one, the only one that got to Quinnon
Mitchell at all was Mike Evans.

Speaker 4 (50:29):
And that's two receptions for nineteen yards.

Speaker 3 (50:32):
That is the most any receiver has had when Quinnon
Mitchell is defending them.

Speaker 4 (50:38):
And that was early. It was, it was very early.

Speaker 3 (50:41):
Everybody, Mama Carter in the house, Jaylor Carter, Miss miss Brown,
Miss Brown in the house. How are you good to
see you? You're not hot in that leather, Jesus, I
have no idea what you're saying. You look good.

Speaker 4 (51:00):
Du everybody, Hey, I think we just have to get
to it.

Speaker 3 (51:06):
It's time for kajata. Oh people, Michael, you have not
been part of kajada before.

Speaker 4 (51:16):
I'm gonna give you some instances.

Speaker 3 (51:18):
You know, some history, and you're gonna or dumb ass,
and you're allowed to say ass. You could you could
say stupid ass, you can say ridiculous ass.

Speaker 4 (51:32):
Because there was a ridiculous ass that just walk by?
Sounds good. There's one right there, Yeah, there's one right there.
I hear that he has he has Cowboys toilet paper.
Yeah that's Nigel, Nigel prosper my man man.

Speaker 2 (51:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (51:44):
We we introduced a new phrase last week. I think
it was swamp ass.

Speaker 7 (51:48):
Do you say cowboys toilet paper? And if I don't
get out, is it ultrasoft?

Speaker 4 (51:52):
If I don't get out of this cow Boys toilet paper,
but don't get out of this night soon, I am
gonna have swamp assn alright, all right, here we go.

Speaker 3 (52:05):
Uh, we'll go Captain Michael and Jansen Pickle Juice Game.

Speaker 4 (52:11):
Oh that's one hundred percent kick ass. I hate to say,
I don't know if I know what it is, but
it sounds fun. So kick ass? Uh, kick ass. You
know the Pickle Juice Game? Yeah, I know. I'm pretty
sure I do. Two. Oh that's why I'm of age.

(52:31):
But I don't think I've ever played. No, no, no, no,
you weren't even born out of age now, but go
ahead and tell him.

Speaker 3 (52:37):
Pickle Juice Game season opener September two thousand and one,
right though to two thousand, Yes, two thousand two thousand.

Speaker 4 (52:46):
Also, I miss Douce Stale. Staley was a fun running
back to watch.

Speaker 3 (52:53):
Twenty twenty twenty six carries for two hundred and forty yards,
two touchdowns. It was just an The on field temperature
was one hundred and fifteen degrees. Oh and Rick Burke,
our trainer, Rick Burke Colter at the time, devised a
great plan for everybody to stay hydrated, and it was

(53:15):
two ounces of pickle juice.

Speaker 4 (53:16):
Interestingly, because the amount of.

Speaker 3 (53:18):
Soli or sodium in that particular solution kept your water
in your body and we destroyed them knocked Troy Aikman
out for the season from day one. Anyway, here's another
Here's here's what I particularly enjoyed to shard choice asking
Michael Vick for his autographed after a Monday night beat down.

Speaker 4 (53:42):
That's kick ass. I'll jump ahead line. That's kick ass.

Speaker 6 (53:47):
That was my profile pick for like two weeks after that.
Everyone loves the Birds, so kick ass.

Speaker 4 (53:57):
That's definitely kick ass.

Speaker 3 (53:59):
Being up to twenty seven to three against Detroit and
Robo throwing two pick six is to blow the lead
at and lose.

Speaker 4 (54:08):
That's kick ass. That's on Brown on brand for him.
So yeah, kick ass for sure. Yeah, dumb ass kick
ass for sure. Yeah. I'm a Romo guy. I'm a
big Tony Romo guy.

Speaker 7 (54:21):
So I it sucks because I like the way he played,
but it is great that he did not do well
in those kind of games.

Speaker 4 (54:29):
And yeah, he did not do well in that one
in particular.

Speaker 3 (54:34):
Well, you're Tony Romo guy. How about Tony Romo's ability
to remember.

Speaker 4 (54:37):
What down it is?

Speaker 7 (54:39):
I know, I know there's some not great things from
Tony Romo. I know, but his highlight reel is so
much fun to watch.

Speaker 4 (54:47):
If now, was that before the Seattle fumble? I don't know,
if you're talking to your microphone, I might be able
to hear you. Was that before the Seattle fumble? Yes?

Speaker 3 (54:56):
Okay, by the way, another anyways, Oh yeah, how about
Jerry Jones living another ten years?

Speaker 4 (55:07):
Huh? I wish health and life on everyone at that
age in that position.

Speaker 8 (55:12):
Yeah, listen, I mean, I hate to be this rude,
but Cowboys fans they've even said themselves, they said they're
not gonna win a Super Bowl or win anything until
Jerry Jones is dead.

I love the birds. You actually have been to the
Green Legion before.

Speaker 3 (56:00):
