I had four and a half. The sweater is amazing.

Speaker 6 (02:04):
Is that extra? Is that where you're going?

Speaker 4 (02:05):
The sweater is amazing?

Speaker 5 (02:06):
I didn't know we were going to a sheep sharing
here today, exactly like it looked like it.

Speaker 4 (02:10):
It should walk.

Speaker 5 (02:13):
Like a dog should be like hurting you. That's the
tip of a poodle's tail right now. I mean, it's
amazing and it has a hood giant Is there a
tail with it?

Speaker 4 (02:24):
The dog home with pants?

Speaker 3 (02:28):
And I want to point out this is not an

Speaker 5 (02:31):
Look feels amazing, feeling awesome, like it's nothing.

Speaker 4 (02:35):
It's something here. The white boost to go with it.

Speaker 5 (02:37):
The jacket was it looks like it's with boots. Yes,
there should definitely be boots with that.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
Look. We got people running around in overalls.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
He has wearing Zubas from the nineties, always appropriate, you know.

Speaker 4 (02:48):
And it's not even zip up like it's a poll over,
like it's it's a sheep dog.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
All right, here's the deal to eighty seven sheep dogs
before we go around the horn. This is a matchup
we've all all been waiting for, and.

Speaker 4 (03:02):
It's something has to give here, Just to let everybody know.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
The Eagles defense enters week eleven bounce back performance after
bounce back performance, insert three more times. Bounce back performance
ranked number two right now in the NFL in yards
allowed and tie for fifth in points allowed. However, the
commanders on the flip side offense, they're tied for thirty
the NFL and scoring twenty nine points per game and

(03:26):
ranks fourth with three hundred and seventy seven yards per game.

Speaker 4 (03:30):
This is a matchup where the eyes.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
Of the nation are upon us, right here in South Philadelphia,
Thursday Night football, home of the Link, surrounded by our
friends right here at the Green Leagues and tailgate. You
had four, here's number three.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
Ay, allow me to set the stage.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
We got Kyle slash Nunnemaker holding it down on the
one to choose.

Speaker 4 (03:57):
The Gobbler's his ton of the years.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
Yes it is get you gobbler at wah wah giggey uh.
John Janson, my co host whenever he feels like it,
but I love him, been with me forever, John Jansen.
Right there, we got Chris Sack. It's not Philly season,
it's not Philly season. But Sack knows a thing or
two about a thing or two when it comes to
the Philadelphia Eagles.

Speaker 7 (04:18):
No doubt about it. A lot more than the guy
that supports two and nine sixers. Out and shut up Diaz,
Mike Diaz.

Speaker 4 (04:26):
Shd shut his Mike off. Shut He has the shit and.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. This man needs no introduction.
I am here, eleventh overall pick in nineteen ninety eight
by your team, your town, your Philadelphia Eagles, Eagles Hall
of Famer, eleven years with the Birds, number seventy two,
give it up?

Speaker 7 (04:47):
What fuck?

Speaker 4 (04:50):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (04:50):
Trying to pull into the park, and I was like,
hey man, I'm Trey Thomas. You know, hey, you know,
Eagles Hall of Fame. Hey, hey listen, now you need
to pull around back though that what you need with
what we need you to do is going down to
the second line. Mister Trey Thomas, Hall of Famer going
down there to the second line. Then we'll see about
you know, come back and hollert us when you get in. Well,
that's all good, that's what's not talking about. I was
trying to do that to you. I said, Hey, I'm

(05:11):
not Thomas. Yeah, yeah, no, No.

Speaker 4 (05:15):
You might fit for David Acres. I don't think you're getting.

Speaker 8 (05:17):
Tray might get a break Covey, but the size of
David Acres, that's true too.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
All right, let's go ahead and get right into it.
First of all, we'll talk about tonight's game, of course,
but we can't pass up what took place in dirty
d against the Cowboys twenty seven unanswered.

Speaker 4 (05:35):
You are Philadelphia Eagles with the route Trey? Yes? What
was the big thing?

Speaker 3 (05:41):
The big takeaway from that demolishing against the Cowboys last.

Speaker 5 (05:44):
Sunday that we're starting to develop our identity.

Speaker 4 (05:47):
You know. One of the things that you're starting to
see is that because everybody was always questioning what's our
identity with this team, and you're starting to see that.

Speaker 5 (05:54):
The physical line play with office on line being able
to run the ball, and then the defense man they
are just lights out.

Speaker 9 (06:01):
It's gonna be exciting for this game for many reasons,
but I think we'll get to it.

Speaker 4 (06:05):
Why do you.

Speaker 9 (06:08):
Live down here south Ally you go Gas, You were saying,
we're all here to watch. We're all here to watch
the Birds win. But the the Eagles defense this will

(06:28):
be you know, we're all waiting for the real test,
the real test.

Speaker 5 (06:32):
Uh.

Speaker 7 (06:32):
You know, Cincinnati was great, but we're here and to
see to see this defense match up with Jade Daniels
and Cliff Cliff Kingsbury. Cliff Kingsbury, isn't this about the
time where his offenses just start to collapse? They're always
like eight and well, he's always good the first half
of the year.

Speaker 9 (06:50):
He's got a pretty good quarterback, you know, had Kyler
Murray's Kyler Murray's a pretty good quarterback.

Speaker 7 (06:55):
This is about the time, so to see if this defense,
you know, not taking.

Speaker 4 (06:59):
On Daniel Joe to Cooper Rush and Trey Lanson. Oh,
I don't know.

Speaker 8 (07:02):
They want to played Joe Burrow like a few weeks ago.
I don't know, Shadan Daniels Joe Burrow all of a sudden,
like when did this guy become God? He's okay, he's fine,
he's playing Oki, He's playing a good average quarterback the
last week, three or four weeks. When did he become
Joe Burrow? When did Arry McLaren become Jamar Chase?

Speaker 4 (07:18):
Are you mad at me? Higgins?

Speaker 8 (07:21):
You said they haven't been challenged yet, like they have
no brow and beat him easily.

Speaker 4 (07:25):
But in Cincinnati, Cincinnati, they've been going up DV, they've
been going.

Speaker 7 (07:30):
Up the defensive rankings since then.

Speaker 4 (07:32):
Great win. So this is this is a big test.

Speaker 7 (07:34):
Let's see it. This is for the two vision. Two
takeaways from me coming out of Dallas. The first and
second round draft picks of this year are legit Quenya
Mitchell and Cooper. These two kids are flat out ballish.
What queeny On Mitchell has done to pretty much every
top wide receiver in the league this season, it has
to He's.

Speaker 4 (07:52):
In the All Pro category right now.

Speaker 7 (07:55):
And you want to sit there and talk about Jamorrow Chase,
what he's gonna do to Terry McLaren to Night, who
has been in Eagles Killer his whole entire career.

Speaker 4 (08:01):
I can't wait to see that matchup tonight.

Speaker 7 (08:03):
And when he wants to slide inside the slot, you're
gonna have to deal with Cooper Jaen. The other thing
that I liked was the fact that they blew out
the Cowboys going into fourth quarter, which means there's a
lot of fresh dread on the tires after all those
guys sat the fourth quarter. Sa Kwon especially, I know,
he had fourteen fifteen carries in that game. I think
he had a reception, but he hurt his arm in
the second quarter and he sat out for a better

(08:25):
part of the latter part of the second quarter, So
he has a lot of tread left on those tires
coming into the night.

Speaker 4 (08:30):
It's gonna be a big Sae Kwon bar.

Speaker 5 (08:32):
Because this reasonally could have been a trap game, you know,
way you know, you know, you know isn't starting, you know,
so everybody goes in thinking that we're gonna just walk
over to Cowboys.

Speaker 4 (08:41):
But they didn't. They came in with a certain mindset
and they played aggressive.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
John Jansen, your takeaway from the Cowboys game, it has to.

Speaker 4 (08:48):
Be a defense.

Speaker 8 (08:49):
I think this is one of This is the defense
I thought had a lot going for it, and it
was gonna take some time, and the time they got
in the first few weeks. Now, Zack Bond's a legit linebacker,
Kobe Dan's a legit linebacker. They have a legit inside
guy with Cooper Dejean. They have a legit outside guy
in Quinnon. Mitchell Smith's playing well. Jalen Carter looks like
the draft pick that jails. It's even Bryce Huff just

(09:13):
flashed hi stuff against Dallas Like this, this defense is good.
It's it's good because of a good defensive coordinator as well.
I think to me, the takeaway is this still looks
like a super Bowl team. It looks like a tower talk.
They they have the roster for it. It was just
could they put it together. They're putting it together every
single week now.

Speaker 7 (09:29):
I was texting my buddies when I was walking up
to eleven hundred Social today and I said, they win tonight.
If they win tonight, now you're in the conversation for
the top seed in the NFC with Detroit. You have
to handle tonight with home field advantage, knowing that you're
gonna have to play Washington in their house, even though
it's a complete crap hole without a house, it's more
like a shit It's kind of like the stadium of

(09:52):
your voice.

Speaker 4 (09:53):
Yes, the quality of.

Speaker 7 (09:55):
Your voice right now, but but for me, you win tonight.
The rest of the season kind of lays out to
where because Detroit's gotta battle it out in the division
with Minnesota and green Bay. They have to play those
teams another time, maybe twice for for one of them.
I think green Bay right now, that is what's staring
you in the face. Handle your business tonight. Take control

(10:15):
of the NFC East. I saw this on sports on
the last night. Eighty one percent chance of winning the
NFC East if they win tonight.

Speaker 4 (10:21):
Agreed.

Speaker 3 (10:21):
They just took over first place after last week. They
got a slight percentage win advantage, of course, say.

Speaker 4 (10:28):
Loss, thank you for that.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
I mean, and they had a ten point lead in
the second half in Bleuwa.

Speaker 7 (10:33):
Washington had to fight that out to the very end
of the game with Pittsburgh. I mean, obviously, their their
offense played really well against the Steelers, and the Steelers have.

Speaker 6 (10:41):
A great defense and a great defense.

Speaker 4 (10:44):
No I'm talking about Pittsford.

Speaker 6 (10:46):
But Washington's defense is the reason why they lost that game.
It continues to be their Achilles heal, every specially the secondary.

Speaker 3 (10:52):
We will get into Washington's defense. I promise you that
that was a little quimbi right there.

Speaker 4 (10:56):
You like that don't jump.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
Don't jump ahead street, and if I could get a
little make a little noise for Quimby right here, right now,
he's lessening.

Speaker 4 (11:07):
I don't know where he's at. I have no idea
where he's at doesn't matter. The show is running way
smoother and wherever he is, I.

Speaker 5 (11:14):
Just want to point out that I see that the
check is our thing.

Speaker 4 (11:19):
Look at that. We're gonna have to have a one off.
Who's is better like that? But the male.

Speaker 7 (11:25):
Female gender ratio right now is one of one.

Speaker 3 (11:30):
I'm telling you to take that all your wife's scouts.
I just went to the bathroom and this chick was
just rubbing me. She might have been on ecstasy. She
might have been on ecstasy. I don't care, all right,
get about to the conversation. Legion, what do you say?
Tweet us if you have something from the Dallas game
that we did not just hit on, although we did
hit on a bunch, please tweet us. You can find
us both places at Green Legion and at Fox PHL Gambler.

(11:54):
At Fox PHL Gambler, I'll come out of the next
break reading the couple.

Speaker 4 (11:57):
Get involved.

Speaker 3 (11:58):
We love to have all of your thoughts here you're
hanging out with us spreads hour and especially sheep Dog.
I love sheep dogs. She's with me, sheep Dog twin.
Let's go, all right, Trey, let's do this. I just
joked with you a little earlier. Uncle Roger and the
schedule makers could not have been more lucky at this
point in time to have a first place battle Thursday
Night Football Division on the line. It doesn't get much

(12:21):
bigger than this. It's Thursday Night Football though. So I'm curious.
You've you played twelve seasons in the NFL. Correct, Yes, so,
I always have subscribed to the theory that man seventy
five plays. It's almost like fifty car accidents. What does
it take to play in this game?

Speaker 5 (12:41):
That's amazing. It's amazing, true, But they don't give as
much anymore.

Speaker 4 (12:48):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (12:49):
You have to order it on Amazon, Yes, Sean, we
have a tourd all disclaimer, do not order. But yeah,
tourtoll you know, because you know, you know, when you
playing a game like that, especially when you're on tour all,
you know, like you don't feel the pain until Monday
night after the game. That's when you start feeling it.

(13:10):
He started feeling a little sore. But I think that
with these guys being able to get out of this
game and you'd be able to rest your starters in
the fourth quarter, that helps, you know, because you didn't
have to battle it out like like Washington did, So
that gave them a little bit more chance, a little
advantage when it comes to recovery and getting ready for.

Speaker 4 (13:27):
This game, Diz.

Speaker 3 (13:29):
A lot has been discussed over the last two to
three weeks. Of course, the Eagles on a five game
winning streak, just in case everybody didn't know, and I
get it the opponents, But slowly but surely we're inching
our way to the end of the season, and of
course you get the awards season.

Speaker 4 (13:43):
We're a long way to go. We got a lot
of games to go. But I was struck up.

Speaker 3 (13:47):
I was in an interesting conversation about the most important
players here to the Eagles.

Speaker 4 (13:54):
Yes, I know, okay, I thought you were talking about
one quarterback division. No, you can include anybody.

Speaker 3 (13:59):
Wont the most important player right now to this offense
heading it tonight against DC is.

Speaker 7 (14:04):
Who it is and it will remain AJ Brown. Every
time it's a J Brown, I would say Lane or
AJ Brown over jailing over Saquon, I would say, Aj,
I mean non quarterback.

Speaker 4 (14:17):
You can include the quarter Okay, well it's gonna.

Speaker 9 (14:18):
Be the quarterback every time, all right, all right, besides
the quarterback, it's AJ Brown. The offense just looks completely
different when he's available, even if you know, even if
he's not getting the throws every time, it's just they
have to account for him on everything. He cannot be
stopped one on one. They have to tilt all the
coverage over to his side. It frees up DeVante, it
free it opens up a little more running opportunity. You

(14:40):
just see it when AJ Brown is not on the
field and the offense gets real clunky.

Speaker 7 (14:45):
So yeah, it's it's it's it's a J. Brown is
the only answer. Correct answer. I agree with the Sack.

Speaker 3 (14:49):
You're rolling your eyes. I know it's DS talking your
thoughts on that question.

Speaker 4 (14:53):
I'm always rolling my eyes when he has a talking
to me. It's Saquon Barkley.

Speaker 7 (14:56):
I mean, the guy has changed the dynamic up this
all offense tenfold, like AJ Brown has been here.

Speaker 4 (15:02):
Yes, they went to a Super Bowl a couple years
ago and they should have.

Speaker 7 (15:05):
Won his Super Bowl. Still, it'll haunt me forever. That
the fact that they didn't. But Saquon Barkley being in
this backfield, he goes down, then it's Kenny Gamewell and
no shot against Kenny G.

Speaker 4 (15:15):
I like Kenny G Kenny G.

Speaker 7 (15:17):
But the thing is is, if aj Brown goes down,
you still have Smidty and you know Johan Dotson feels
like he's starting to come out of his shell a
little bit over the last couple of weeks. You still
have Dallas Godded to throw the ball to. You still
had the legs of Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley to
run the ball in the backfield.

Speaker 4 (15:32):
He is the most important.

Speaker 7 (15:34):
Guy, sands the quarterback because nobody wants to see Kenny
Bickett on this offense right now. Saquon Barkley is just
a flat out stud. And then what this guy has
done so far is incredible. John Jansen, do you agree.

Speaker 8 (15:44):
Yeah, it's it's Saquon and I think this is close
to what the offense was two years ago because they
were a running team that could get deep balls because
of Jalen Hurts running ability. Everybody was looking in the backfield.
They didn't have it last year. Now they have Saquon.
Everybody's looking in the backfield again, and they're looking in
the backfield and then all of a sudden, there's a
j Brown down the field. So like to me, the
running game has always been the thing that opens everything

(16:06):
up for the Eagles, and they have it again, and
Takuan's doing it better than the Eagles having a very
very long time.

Speaker 3 (16:12):
Quimby is smiling somewhere right now. Trey finally to you, sir,
where are you at? And you know what, I'll roll
with Diaz on this one.

Speaker 4 (16:19):
Remove Jail and her. Hey you go. I wanted to
include him because I don't.

Speaker 3 (16:23):
Yes, I know it's the quarterback, but we are talking
about two premier players at their position with Saquan and
aj I mean, those guys are all pros.

Speaker 9 (16:30):
Well, the thing is, it's it's just more than that,
even Lane Johnson as well.

Speaker 4 (16:34):
I mean, we got what four guys.

Speaker 3 (16:35):
But you're glass just going no, can we rub his
vocal cords on your on your your sweater vest.

Speaker 4 (16:42):
Creak your thoughts? Most important players.

Speaker 5 (16:44):
I can't pick up a player, especially when you have
to just talk about an offensive line totally. I have
to go with the offensive line, you know what I'm saying,
just because you got to protect and you have to
be in those lanes for the run game, you know,
especially when you've been giving up at least you know,
you only have one game where you had zero sas
So I think that for this off for this game
to win, the offhensive line has to be productive. They

(17:05):
have to go out there and protect and to give
up the quarterback chance and open those lines for the run.

Speaker 7 (17:10):
Trey, I know what you're gonna say, but but is
it right to bring back Jordan my Allotta tonight? Like, yeah,
if he's ready, you play him. But do we think
it after four weeks after a hamstring injury which seemed
to be a pretty bad one that he sustained. Do
you think it's a good idea to bring him back
when can wrest him up for another ten days? But
I mean, this could be the season as far as
like the division and home field advantage, you know, in

(17:32):
the first round at least minimum, it's a big game.
But do you think they're bringing him back? Maybe too soon?
With how Fred Johnson's been playing at left tackle.

Speaker 5 (17:38):
Yeah, you know what, that's the problem when you have
a starter that's ready to play. You can't lose your
position due to injury. And if he's ready to go,
they're gonna put him in there. And that's that's just
the reality of the situation. Because even with Dallas starter,
when he came back, you put him right in. When
Slay was injured, you put him back here because he's
the money man.

Speaker 4 (17:56):
So if Jordan my a Lot is ready to go,
they're gonna play him, you know.

Speaker 5 (17:59):
And uh, if he's coming back to it, I don't
think you'll put him in a situation if you didn't
feel comfortable about comfortable about playing it. Hamstrings are weird
as it is.

Speaker 7 (18:09):
He could be completely fine, and then in the second
quarter we see him.

Speaker 5 (18:12):
Limping off and we're like, god, yeah, you know, because
that's a that's a fast guy's injury, you know, and
that's not big guys like yeah, but that's not an
offensive lineman injury. With an offensive lineman injury means you know, back,
you know, but the ankles, wrists, but elbows, but not hamstring.

Speaker 4 (18:30):
That's more of the speed.

Speaker 3 (18:33):
Just keep going, my neck, growing my back, all right,
we're live growing every now and then eleven hundred so
so Green Luson Radio. We got Jordan Matthews Jersey. Give
it up for a Jon Jordan Matthews Jersey. My goodness,
that is one that's been hanging in the closet for
a little while. I'm I'm shocked that somebody did buy that.

(18:54):
But nice work by you, sir. All right, get in
both of the conversation. I'll think Social's other side. We're
diving deep into the game. We got the number I
was talking to somebody earlier that represents Drafting sportsbook. They said,
the sharp money is coming on the Philadelphia Eagles. Bump
the point spread up the four Eagles currently four point favorites. Tonight,
First place on the line, Ladies and gentlemen, once again

(19:16):
you are listening to Green Legion Radio live from Infinity Live.
Don't go anywhere more after this, once again, First place
on the Line, Birds Commanders, Thursday Night football right here

good night to us commanders supporters that are walking around here.

hundred Social of course, with the fantastic folks from the
Green Legion tailgate. Before we get into tonight's game. Once again,

(20:00):
the Eagles are four point favorites. Chris Sack, you got

Speaker 3 (20:34):
Ali great stuff there, Sack trade to you to open
up shop year Segment number two Birds four point favorites
Division Battle.

Speaker 4 (20:42):
Did you ever feel like you were playing?

Speaker 3 (20:44):
Because I look at it what happened last week against
the Cowboys. Of course, Kella Moore knows that team pretty good, right,
do you feel like is their truth behind? Like these
teams know each other especially more than other teams of course,
because you play the same division year after year. All hell, oh,
Dan Quinn, New Sheriff in Town. Your thoughts on that
as far as team's really known each other even though

(21:05):
they haven't played this year, Well.

Speaker 5 (21:06):
You know what, this is a new regime that's coming in,
so you're not really sure what they're going to bring
to the table because it's not you know, even though
in the football in the scheme of football grand scheme,
everybody's running pretty much the same thing. You just dressing
it up a different way. But I think that you
do get familiar with the players that you're dealing with.
You know what that player's moves are going to be
when it comes to one on one matchups. But when

(21:29):
it comes to the scheme, this is something that's totally different.

Speaker 4 (21:32):
All Right.

Speaker 3 (21:32):
I want to get right into tonight's game, But before
we do that, I gotta talk about one of the
baddest players on the Philadelphia Eagles defense, and that's Jalen Carter.
We're talking about Nadama kon Sue territory. We're talking about
Aaron Donald. I'm very reluctant to say that. Who I'm
very reluctant.

Speaker 4 (21:49):
To say that, but it is.

Speaker 6 (21:51):
It's Cox territory.

Speaker 4 (21:53):
That'll be fine. I like that.

Speaker 3 (21:54):
Give it up for Big Fletch. Let go big Fletch Man.
He's gonna end up in the Hall of Fame. We
talked about that. We broke that one down. Shady's a
Hall of Famer, Yeah, Shady Fletcher COXA Hall of Fame.

Speaker 4 (22:06):
Yeah. Absolutely.

Speaker 3 (22:07):
Tray Thomas is a Hall of famerdam let's go Trey.
Hang on one second, Das Tray to you, Jalen Carter
shut up, Yes, you shut up, Diaz. You know you
study the game. We just rolled up.

Speaker 4 (22:19):
You're watching tape right here by yourself, stogy in your mouth.
What makes Jalen Carter so special? In your mind? Athleticism
power everything together? Talk about jailing Card. I think it's
a little bit of both.

Speaker 5 (22:31):
That he's able to create pressure where he's going to
get hands on you, and he's athletic enough to get
that bull create separation, and then he has a plan
b you know what I'm saying, Like, you can tell
that when he rushes that he's going to create separation
and then he has a move that he's gonna come
off of it. It's not something where he's stutter stepping
and doing all that. He's coming in. He's attacking, he's

(22:53):
finding his angle and then he's gonna come with a
swim or something that's going to attack the edge of
whoever is trying to block him.

Speaker 4 (23:00):
He answered the eight teams that passed on NFL Draft
last year, by the way, thank you very much.

Speaker 9 (23:04):
That's like, if there's something you know, we brace is
talking about being Aaron Donald and the dominicants you and
that'd be great.

Speaker 4 (23:11):
And like I'm the only one listen, I hear you.

Speaker 9 (23:13):
Is there something that you can identify or speak on
that what that he needs to do to get to
that next level.

Speaker 4 (23:22):
Experience.

Speaker 5 (23:23):
I think what he's doing is that he he doesn't Okay.
One of the things that I noticed with him is
that he changes his stands. You know what I'm saying.
He changes his stance. He doesn't always line up with
his inside footback, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (23:36):
So every now and.

Speaker 5 (23:36):
Then, if he knows that a guard is going to
set him at forty five, he'll put his outside foot back,
which makes him get his get into his rush one
step quicker.

Speaker 4 (23:46):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (23:46):
So if a guy is going to short set, then
now you need to change your stands. Put your outside
footback so now you can go one two. You're attacking
on your second step instead of if you had your
inside footback. It's a three step rush. You see what
I'm saying. So he has the knowledge to where he's saying.
All right, you know what, depending on how this guy
sets me, I'm gonna change my stance based off of

(24:07):
how he's setting so he could get into his rush
one step quicker Sack.

Speaker 3 (24:10):
I'm gonna come to you on this one. We're gonna
go down the panel. Everyone get a take on this.
Eagles are on a five game win streak, have looked
great defense, bounce back. We just went over the stats
to open up shop here.

Speaker 4 (24:20):
Number two.

Speaker 3 (24:20):
Overall, I swear to you, am I off my rocker
when I tell you that things changed when Cooper dejen
was inserted into the lineup. Did he change everything for
this Eagles defense?

Speaker 4 (24:31):
Absolutely? Because Fonte Maddox was burnt toast. I mean every
single time, Like, how does that nickelback player have that
type of effect.

Speaker 7 (24:39):
Because now these wide receivers aren't exactly lining up just
on the outside.

Speaker 4 (24:43):
Now, a guy like.

Speaker 7 (24:44):
Ceedee Lamb is no longer slated to go up against
the Darius Slay or a Queen Yon Mitchell.

Speaker 4 (24:49):
So when he's not having success there, they'll.

Speaker 7 (24:52):
Decide to move him into the slot and then they'll
have success because the quarterback.

Speaker 4 (24:56):
We will get the ball out the hands quick on
the slants, so.

Speaker 7 (24:58):
As they're going up against a lesser degree of a cornerback,
which is your nickel that you can't do that anymore now,
So now.

Speaker 4 (25:05):
You have to pick your poison.

Speaker 7 (25:06):
You're either gonna go up against a second team all
pro in Darius Slagh from a couple of years ago
who still has some tread left on his tires as
an age veteran now in the NFL, or you gotta
line up against Queen On Mitchell and anybody has anybody
on social media that has seen the numbers that that
man is against against some of the best wide receivers
in the NFL. And then now, okay, cool, but now

(25:29):
we'll slide him in the inside and it's Avonte Maddox. No, no, no, no, no,
it doesn't matter anymore. Now you're going up against Cooper
de Gene. That is a bad boy.

Speaker 1 (25:37):
Man.

Speaker 4 (25:37):
I'm telling you what this guy does.

Speaker 7 (25:39):
He is physical, he is quick, and you could see
it because like remember when they first when Britain Covey
first got hurt as the pump return I'm sure then
they slayed it the gene in there.

Speaker 4 (25:48):
It didn't look like he was comfortable back there. He
did it in college, it's all well and good.

Speaker 7 (25:52):
Now you're in the NFL and we had a couple
of like really bad returns from him. No, man, now
he's bringing that level of effort and physicality that he
brings on this on the nickel.

Speaker 4 (26:00):
Now he's bringing it to the pump return game and
it's just special across the board.

Speaker 7 (26:03):
It's gonna even better once Britain Coffee comes back and
they no longer have to use him in that role.

Speaker 5 (26:07):
Do you think you would keep putting slave back out
there or do you just say, you know what, Isaiah Rodgers,
you the guy.

Speaker 4 (26:12):
I think Isaiah Rodgers is the guy in the bullpen.

Speaker 7 (26:15):
I think it's like Slay is the guy that's gonna start,
and he's gonna go as far as he can go
and eventually at some point if he gets hurt long term,
then as there Rodgers is gonna be the guy on
the other outside. I just think there's too much respect
for a team captain in the locker room right now,
say yeah, he still is a good player. But but
I mean, like, it's so amazing how the Eagles have
failed year after year after year drafting cornerbacks, and like

(26:39):
I feel like, here we are twenty one years later
and it's Leedo and Sheldon all over. But but the
first year and they they're both better than I agree
with you, I agree with you. I mean, Shelton sat
a year, but they're at a higher point in there,
you know, especially Quentin.

Speaker 4 (26:55):
It's it's it is weird. It's weird that I don't
want to say. Thet I don't know is the strength
of the defense. The secondary absolutely.

Speaker 8 (27:10):
Potentially, Like I know that seems far fetched because of
the two players that.

Speaker 6 (27:13):
Are there, but linebacker has been amazing.

Speaker 8 (27:15):
I think this is the most versatile defense and probably
the most complete defense I have seen the Eagles have
in a long time. The twenty twenty two team had
a great pass rush. I don't know if they had
an amazing secondary or great linebackers every level. I mean,
maybe a little bit better of a pass rush, but
I still think Jalen Carter's playing well. So your defensive

(27:37):
line is getting good play, your linebackers are getting good play,
your secondaries are getting good play. And also in your secondary,
you have guys that can go up in the line
of scrimmage like c. J. Gardner Johnson, like Cooper deg
can also play safety.

Speaker 4 (27:47):
Yeah, guys that.

Speaker 6 (27:48):
Could play inside, guys that could play outside.

Speaker 4 (27:50):
There's so much versatility.

Speaker 8 (27:51):
I used to think the Eagles would like concede parts
of the field because they didn't have the players to defend.

Speaker 6 (27:56):
Now they don't concede any inch.

Speaker 8 (27:58):
I mean they cover every single part of the field
because they are that skilled and talented.

Speaker 3 (28:02):
Now once again you are listening green Legion Radio Live
from eleven hundred so so outside Exfinity Live green Legion.
If you didn't know, number one choice for Philly sports
fans traveling to away games, and we do it big
here at home games as well. Nobody does it like Quimbian.
Company's got a great team, Green Legion. Check them down
online at trips dot green Legion dot com. All right,

(28:25):
trade back to you yes, when you talk about going
up against this commander's offense, and they are damn good folks,
if you do, if you don't know, they are tied
for thirty NFL scoring twenty nine points per game. They
ranked fourth with three hundred and seventy seven yards per game.
And it is all off of the quarterback, the rookie
quarterback coming up in this spot.

Speaker 4 (28:44):
He's delivered and then some. I'll give him all the
credit in the world.

Speaker 3 (28:47):
He's definitely should have went number one overall against Kayleb Williams.

Speaker 4 (28:50):
Sorry, let's just go ahead and call it els. Whoa whoa, whoa, whoa.
Run it, run it back. You're taking Caleb.

Speaker 6 (28:56):
That's a little aggressive. I'm taking Kalb.

Speaker 4 (28:58):
I'm not.

Speaker 3 (28:59):
I'm not I'm taking. I'm taking the guy that's starting quarterbacks.
Trey Will put that to the side right here, right now.
I want to know from you, you watch film, you
watch all these games, what's the best plan of the
action of attack against the quarterback that can go out
there and make plays with his legs, can deliver. He's
got some good wide receivers, solid running back, good offense.
As the numbers will tell you, what's the plan of

(29:19):
action against him, because I feel if if you limit him,
if you contain him, that's the key to success.

Speaker 5 (29:24):
Your thoughts, I think you layer your rushes, you know,
where you have one guy. When I'm saying layer rushes,
I want one guy that's gonna give bull rush on
the one side, and then I want somebody running a
high loop on the other side. So you want to
take it back to like when Chris Long was here
and he and Barnett. You know, you saw Chris Long
one time throw his hands up to Barnett where he
wanted Barnett to give him give that other tackle a

(29:46):
bull rush to kind of create pressure in the quarterbacks
face so he's collapsing, and then Chris Long ran the
hump and they you saw it against the Chargers, I believe,
and Chris Long came up with a sack fumble where
you create pressure in his face and then once he
tries to escape, you got somebody that's coming around the hoop.
So I think that if you layer your rushes, I
think that's the best way to deal with an athletic

(30:08):
quarterback like that, because you don't want to mush rush,
because if you mush rush, then that means that your
secondary is going to be just hanging out the drive
because now they're gonna have to cover all day.

Speaker 3 (30:19):
You know, I was watching Bill Belichick break some stuff down.
He's on every TV channel, every TV.

Speaker 4 (30:24):
What of personality?

Speaker 3 (30:25):
Yeah, you know what, you know what what irks me
for for four decades. The media is the enemy. The
media is the worst. And all of a sudden, he's
missed the personality. Well, let me tell you what you
do here. I understand money controls a whole lot. Twenty
six year old girlfriend? Is that your old girlfriend? Kick asser,

(30:47):
jackass kicks kick ass, kick ass?

Speaker 4 (30:52):
Yeah, yeah, did you see these out doing pictures on
the beach mermaids. That's a lot to work these days.

Speaker 6 (31:00):
Yeah, I didn't do that.

Speaker 4 (31:02):
That's a whole great for him, but she she needs him. No, pree,
that's three too. I'm with Jansen. That is a lot
of work.

Speaker 3 (31:13):
Twenty six year old. That's heavy on Instagram. She's posing
in a mermaid super crying out loud. Here he is
with a fishing pole.

Speaker 4 (31:20):
God blessed. I'm glad he wasn't a mermaid.

Speaker 6 (31:22):
God bless him.

Speaker 8 (31:25):
Randy Boss trying to get him out for a Halloween,
and he didn't, and then all of a sudden, now
he's out taking pictures in a holloway.

Speaker 4 (31:30):
I wish your mother was still allowed to see there.
Some became a murmaid. MD.

Speaker 3 (31:37):
We're diving deep into this game, Jansen, I'm coming to
you on this one. Your thoughts as far as slowing
this offense down. Is it realistic to believe that the
Eagles defense can shut them down.

Speaker 4 (31:49):
I don't know about.

Speaker 8 (31:50):
Shut them down, but I think you can certainly win
this game in the red zone. I never thought Cliff
Kingsbury's teams are all great in the red zone, and
I think that's one area of the field that Washington
still struggles a little bit. If you've been holding the
field goals, absolutely, the Giants are able to do that.
I know that was earlier in the season, but they
were able to do that and hold them to eighteen points.

Speaker 6 (32:08):
They hold him like what five six field goals?

Speaker 4 (32:10):
You can do that.

Speaker 8 (32:11):
If you do that, your your offense is gonna score points.
Washington's defense gives up a ton of points, and the
Eagles offense, I think is playing extremely well as long
as you can hold them in that area in the
red zone to just three, which I think that is possible. Yeah,
they can absolutely not shut them down, but stop them
for sure.

Speaker 9 (32:27):
Speaking of field goals, earlier today, the Washington Commanders elevated
Zaane Gonzalez from the Plectic squad to kick tonight.

Speaker 6 (32:35):
That sounds like that sounds like a missed field goal,
right happen?

Speaker 4 (32:38):
That's right. That sounds like that sounds like a Quimby
bit of news, wide right, wide right. We'll take that
all day.

Speaker 9 (32:44):
Speaking of Quimby, I can't wait for him to text
us tell us everything we've been done wrong.

Speaker 4 (32:47):
Well, no, no good. We're doing good. He's happy, the
people are happy.

Speaker 3 (32:52):
We're having a good We got the birds, we got
DC in the house, first place on the line.

Speaker 4 (32:59):
Here's number four.

Speaker 9 (33:01):
Ay gee s Eagles.

Speaker 3 (33:05):
All right, we've been waxing poetic about tonight's game. We're
gonna continue to do so. But on the other side,
official predictions. Here's what I do know. As I said
Julian Enlo, who represents DraftKings sportsbook, he's got the the
ears excuse me, of everybody on the inside. The number
jumped up three to four. Eagles are four point favorites.

Speaker 4 (33:25):
He said.

Speaker 3 (33:25):
Sharp money is coming on the Birds. We're gonna find
out if everybody on this panel believes that the Eagles
will cover, maybe this gets ugly.

Speaker 4 (33:33):
All that and more. On the other side, ladies and gentlemen,
you are listening to Green Legion Radio.

Speaker 7 (33:38):

Speaker 6 (35:14):
That's a confident crowd brace.

Speaker 3 (35:15):
Yes, yes it is, and it's filling in Thursday night football.
Of course, not easy for everybody to get to, but
nobody does it better than Philadelphia sports fans across the board,
even though I'm out on the sixers. No more, dys
All right, quick shout out please if you wouldn't mind.
Quemi sent me a note. He said the family and

did the show there.

Speaker 3 (36:38):
I've been doing six am workouts for the last three weeks.
I fit into a Sherpa outfit because of that.

Speaker 4 (36:44):
Right, how are you doing jazz or size?

Speaker 5 (36:46):
Like?

Speaker 4 (36:46):
What are you doing?

Speaker 9 (36:49):
Do you have the gym aerobic socks with Donna summer soxy?
If you do anything at six am, like, it's hand weights.

Speaker 3 (36:58):
Its own talk into that place. It's like the club,
everything else, all the extracurriculars. All right, let's get into
the Eagles conversation once again. Bird's four point favorites against
the Commander's first place on the line.

Speaker 4 (37:12):
The eyes of the nation are upon us.

Speaker 8 (37:15):
I love it.

Speaker 4 (37:16):
Thursday Night football has been delivering the last two weeks.

Speaker 3 (37:18):
Maybe and then some I forget, but last week was
a pretty good, great game, great second half.

Speaker 4 (37:24):
Hopefully this is a banger of a game. Chase and
Joe Burrow for my fantasy team last week. How about that?

Speaker 3 (37:28):
Nobody cares about your fantasy team? All right, let's talk
about tonight's game.

Speaker 4 (37:35):
Trey. I'm gonna start with you. Can I be honest
with you? Start the clock. I'm laying down on the couch.
I think he deserves all the credit in the world.
I am a fan.

Speaker 3 (37:50):
He's proved me wrong from the beginning, but I'm worried
in a tight ball game he might start making some
bad decisions. Sirianni, of course is where I'm going here,
head coach of the Eagles, a game like this, he's
got to be perfect. I think it's gonna be a
tight game. If it's not a blowout, it's a tight game.

(38:10):
So where are you at with that conversation with head
coach Nick sirian I.

Speaker 5 (38:13):
Think you know what Les sirianta be here man. You know,
I think that the team feeds off of how he is.
You know it's good, bad, and ugly. I think that
the team feeds off of how he is. And you know,
hopefully you know that the casts around him will rustle
him in if he does make a bad decision. But
I think that he knows that all eyes on him

(38:35):
right now, so he's gonna be a little conservative.

Speaker 3 (38:37):
My dia is overblown or is it justified with people
that are second guessing somewhat. I'm not talking about removing
the man. This team is in first place, but confidence wise,
tight ball game to make the right decisions justified or not?

Speaker 4 (38:53):
Where are you at? Well?

Speaker 7 (38:54):
A lot of the a lot of the vitriol comes
on going for it on fourth down and not kicking
the field. Tend to agree with that process. The play
calling after the fact kind kind of gets me, uh,
you know, a little disheveled. What about this as a
comparison for Nick Siriannika Michael Scott of thunder Miffline.

Speaker 9 (39:14):
That's not good. That's not a good competitor. He's a
good leader, he's a high man. He has no idea
what's going on, and everyone rallies behind him. When when
you whenever there's a bunder.

Speaker 7 (39:24):
It seems the team gotta get Remember that the sunshine
and flowers thing a couple of years ago.

Speaker 4 (39:29):
There's a beautiful analogy.

Speaker 5 (39:30):
I know, I know, a success you sit down and think, Okay,
was I the soil or was the fire?

Speaker 4 (39:40):
Got you got deep on it. I'm just saying.

Speaker 7 (39:42):
He does seem to make mistakes on the mic and
kind of messes up, and everyone gets on him because
you have to give a good interview or something. But
when he does make those mistakes on the mic, the
team just rallies behind him. I don't know, he's a
good leader.

Speaker 4 (39:55):
All right, putting the microphone to the side.

Speaker 3 (39:57):
I care about what's being called on the plane out
of team reac Chris Zach.

Speaker 7 (40:01):
How many games did they want in a row? Now, Brace,
I know it, but you've said it about twenty times
here one So since he bicked his head bick Sirianni
is five and zero. I mean, like, say what you
will about the guy. Like there's a lot of things
that annoy you about the guy, okay, and you know,
even as a head coach, there's things that he doesn't
annoy you.

Speaker 4 (40:20):
Okay.

Speaker 7 (40:21):
Year one, playoffs, Year two losing the Super Bowl. Year three,
start out ten and one, losing the playoffs. This year
seven and two, and they're and they're playing some of
their best football that they played in the four years
that he's been the head coach. Like for those that
are calling for the guy's job, he's doing something right.
The guys respect him. If you if you listen to
anybody talk about this guy, they read, they react, and

(40:43):
they respond to what this guy sells them. And if
anybody has a Twitter or an ex go on the
Eagles page. It was posted about two or three hours ago.

Speaker 4 (40:52):
Pretty good.

Speaker 7 (40:52):
It was forty nine seconds of Sirianni talking to his team.

Speaker 4 (40:55):
Pretty good. I'm telling you if that almost made me
run through the wall, and I'm not playing it. I
don't like the move. They moved the needle. It moved
the needle. Did you move a little?

Speaker 9 (41:05):
It's too cold for that, Jensen, hang out before I
get to you, Trey, you said you didn't.

Speaker 5 (41:09):
Like it, But no, I don't like that. You know,
like some things need to be between the coach and
the play. I like that, you know what I'm saying.
So I don't like I don't like pubbing everything out there,
you know, And I get it. You want to put
every pull the curtain bag and let everybody in, especially
you got to sow the good with the band. But
then if you blow a game, what's your speech then?
But he also didn't He also didn't request for them

(41:30):
to put that out.

Speaker 3 (41:32):
They're they're doing it more because this is something that
was suggested on the McAfee show, where for the people
that are second guessing Nick Sirianni when he is with
this team in that moment, he really is getting through
and they know him better than most because of the culture.

Speaker 4 (41:48):
Let be between you and the team. Though.

Speaker 5 (41:51):
Nothing needs to be out. Everything isn't for everybody. Jensen
on the head coach well and on you. So I
just want a little consistency.

Speaker 8 (41:58):
Earlier in the season, he wasn't showing consistently on fourth down.
He was either going for it or not, second guessing himself.
If you're going to be aggressive against Jacksonville, you better
Dan be aggressive tonight.

Speaker 4 (42:07):
Don't stop doing that. Don't all of a sudden.

Speaker 8 (42:09):
Become a coward like if you're gonna do it then
against Jacksonville in those moments, you better.

Speaker 6 (42:13):
Do it tonight.

Speaker 8 (42:14):
Stay aggressive if that's what you want to be, and
I think that's what this team is. As long as
he does that, I'm fine with it. If you don't
get it, you don't get it.

Speaker 6 (42:20):
You live with that. But just be consistent in what
you're doing.

Speaker 4 (42:23):
I'll tell you what. Being aggressive is pretty easy.

Speaker 3 (42:25):
When he got Saquon Jalen Hurts, the off line, AJ DeVante.

Speaker 4 (42:31):
And that Philadelphia Eagles defense on the others.

Speaker 7 (42:35):
I mean, that's what Doug did in twenty seventeen. Doug
was aggressive. I remember everybody wanted him fired after Week three.
Big buzz Doug when he went four fourth and seven
from like his own forty three against the Giants, and
Jake Elliott kicks the field goal and the magical run goes.
But Doug was that way all year. He never changes stripes.
He carried it all the way through the Super Bowl,

(42:56):
going forward on fourth and one on your on your
side of the field. Instead of giving at the Brady,
he goes for it. That's where Nick went a rye
in the Super Bowl a couple years ago.

Speaker 4 (43:04):
He's stopped me.

Speaker 7 (43:05):
No puns, right, No, easy to keep your vote on
the gas and if the calls for it, you have
to continue going with what you're trying to promote to
your guys.

Speaker 4 (43:13):
Stay aggressive.

Speaker 5 (43:14):
I like it.

Speaker 3 (43:14):
I agree with everybody across the board. I'm pretty sure
everybody here at the Green Leaves and Tailgate does as well.
All right, we've blacked spoletic about tonight's game, of course,
including a little of everything else. I didn't ask anybody though,
Mike Tyson or Jake Paul, Mike Tyson and Jakey Yeah
are now I'm joking.

Speaker 4 (43:30):
I'm joking.

Speaker 3 (43:31):
All right, let's end on a positive note, hopefully official predictions.

Speaker 4 (43:36):
John Jensen, I'll start with your work bar way down. Eagles.

Speaker 3 (43:39):
Hey, ats, we're not cowards on this show. Four point
favorites go ahead, and.

Speaker 6 (43:44):
I like the Eagles laying the four. The sharpers are
on it for a reason.

Speaker 8 (43:46):
All the numbers that said the Eagles weren't that good
last year are all saying they're good this year. That's
a great football team. I think they win this one
thirty one to twenty three. They hold Washington to a
few field goals, offense does great.

Speaker 4 (43:57):
I'm all on the.

Speaker 6 (43:58):
Eagles in this game.

Speaker 4 (43:58):
Who scores a touchdown for.

Speaker 6 (43:59):
The other than Saquon anytime, Jalen other.

Speaker 4 (44:04):
Time, James other than Saquon Okay.

Speaker 1 (44:06):
I like that.

Speaker 4 (44:06):
Chris Sack. I like the Eagles tonight twenty seven to seventeen.

Speaker 7 (44:09):
I just think I think with the way that they've
played against Dallas and the way that they've played the
last few weeks, they're finding their identity again and it's
been it's been a joy watching them blow teams out again.
And like the fact that they sat out that fourth
quarter and Washington had to go toe to toe until
the end with Pittsburgh. I just think tonight is an
Eagles Night, twenty seven to seventeen. Mike Diaz, I was

(44:30):
gonna go twenty seven to seventeen. I'm gonna give them
a Zane Gonzalez an extra field goal. We're gonna say
twenty seven to twenty. I think it's gonna be a
comfortable win, comfortable cover.

Speaker 4 (44:38):
But in the third quarter it still be tight, of course, Trey,
Oh yeah, man.

Speaker 5 (44:43):
I like thirty one twenty. I think that the Eagles
is gonna come out there and we're gonna roll over them.

Speaker 7 (44:48):
Man.

Speaker 5 (44:48):
I think that this is gonna be a dominating game,
of course. I think with Jalen Downy's is gonna go
score a little bit. But I think that our office
is gonna put some points and we're gonna cover.

Speaker 6 (44:56):
Are you on, Josh Harris copter watch? Is that what
we're doing over there?

Speaker 7 (45:00):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (45:00):
We you know, we're taking away the landing pad off
the walls Fargo Center.

Speaker 3 (45:04):
Form life is a good show when you got a helicopter,
no comment, I'll all right my official prediction. You're not
gonna like I think it's a push, possibly a commander's cover.

Speaker 4 (45:19):
I'm feeling like eleven ten point lead by the Eagles
of garbage. Touchdown by DC in the fourth quarter, final stretch.

Speaker 7 (45:32):
That he lost all of his luster in the first
two minutes of the showing, like the Eagles ship.

Speaker 4 (45:38):
Your energy just dropped. No, no, no, no, we're just
getting warm. To be fair, it was four and a
half over under. I do need the warm up?

Speaker 6 (45:46):
Should that be nice?

Speaker 5 (45:47):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (45:47):
Four and a half over under.

Speaker 3 (45:48):
You'd better have taken the over because ladies and gentlemen,
boys and girls. I can't thank Quimby enough for allow
me to run the show here Green Legion Radio Live
