Mobile Cigar Lounge. We have a ton of stuff to
get to today. Don't forget our final segment. I just
I didn't put it on your run sheets. Guys, I
have legitimately a lot of kajatasa. It's gonna be good.
It should be pretty fun. I'm working on my comedic

(04:43):
career once radios finished. All right, so we're getting right.
I want to talk about the game last week. And yes,
we won. Yes it wasn't pretty. Yes I wanted it
to be pretty. It should have been pretty.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
You know.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
I Cleveland doesn't have a bad defense. We know that
as a matter of fact. Fantasy PFF rank there defense
number one coming into the season. But all right, there
is what three minutes and twenty seconds left in the
second half?

Speaker 5 (05:22):
Uh huh?

Speaker 2 (05:23):
All right, Cleveland's drive is stalling? Why are you not
calling a time out? There? You had three timeouts you
wound up going to the locker room with two, okay,
and settle it for a field goal attempt. Uh huh,
tray three minutes and twenty seconds. It's third and eleven,

(05:45):
all right, and that clock is just running, and Jacksonville
is happy that that clock is running. As an offensive player,
would you rather have three minutes and ten seconds with
a full set the downs and no timeouts or two
minutes with all your timeouts marching down the field?

Speaker 5 (06:06):
I think I want to be able to cut as
much time off the clock as possible. I don't want
to score and lead time on the clock for them
to have an opportunity at it. So for me, I'm
okay with the no timeouts.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
You can control. Okay, you're good with the no time out. Yeah,
I'm okay with the no timeouts all right, because you
can control how you stop the clock on the way
down exactly. You can run the ball, you can eat
some of that off.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
Yeah, because I mean you go back and you look
at it.

Speaker 5 (06:29):
Because I had to go back and watch this series,
so it starting eleven, Yeah, we had three minutes and
twenty seconds left. You know, no timeouts? Why did they
you know? Whatever happened? So they end up getting a
stop and they got they gave up three points there,
so now you go in as ten to three or what,
well did they give up three points at that drive?

Speaker 3 (06:46):
So they gotta stop, so zero, so you got us.

Speaker 5 (06:49):
You got the ball back with what a minute and
fifty three seconds left?

Speaker 3 (06:52):
Right yep?

Speaker 5 (06:53):
So you start that drive off and let me just
go through it real quick because I went through it and
took my notes on this, all right. So you started
off the first place was a far start, all right.
So the whole right side jumped off, all right. So
now you start back up and you come back in
no time is taking off the clock. Now you got
a big pass to a no to the tight end.
So you got Kyle Katra that makes that big pass
down the right side. Boom, there you go first and ten,

(07:15):
all right, So now you got a minute and thirty
seconds left on the clock. Then now you get a
big pass to AJ Brown first and ten.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (07:22):
So now you just keep moving then and now it
hurts goes back, makes another big pass down to AJ
Brown for another. Now you got a minute left on
the clock, all right, So now it's second and one.

Speaker 3 (07:32):
You know, so now time is chicking.

Speaker 5 (07:34):
Any time you want to get that drive, you want
to make sure that you take all you can take
all opportunities of that team having the opportunity to get
back and score the order to get any movement going
in the half. So you just keep rolling, don't worry
about the time. I say's second and one. So now
you throw that little dump off pass to Sakwan Barkley
where he thought he got out of bounds, but he didn't.
So now it's third and one. You know what I'm saying.

(07:55):
So you stopped the clock there with fifty third How
much time was up on it? I think it was
fit thirty seven seconds. I think thirty seven seconds off
on the clock. So now it's thirty one and then
now you have a sack. The sack is what really
hurt them in that drive because on that particular play
you had some play some of the receivers opened down feel.

(08:18):
But now you line up with the offensive. Now when
we talk about this play, because I had to go
back and watch this play, yea, the passing strength was
to the right Okay, So now everybody that knows anything
about football knows that the blitz is going to come
from the passing strength, which is on the right side. Now,
say Kwan Barkley is on the right side as well,

(08:38):
but they have zero blitz, so they're showing everybody's coming.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
So what do we do?

Speaker 5 (08:42):
Because the defensive coordinator, who knows coach Stoutlin extremely well,
he says, all right, you know what, I know that
they're going to slide the line to the passing strength
because every offensive line does. So what that that does?
It makes sa Kwan Barkley crosses Hurt's face. Now, every
quarterback in the world would sit up there tell you, hey,
that doesn't bother me, but yes it does.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
It does.

Speaker 3 (09:04):
Every time if you.

Speaker 5 (09:05):
See that running backs color color flash across his face,
it makes you panic and it makes you feel like
you got to get rid of the ball because you
know there's a blitzer that's coming. And what that does
is when you have Saquon sending them across the formation
to go block a rush that's coming free, you putting
them in space to block somebody that's in space. So
that's why you give up the sack to me you

(09:25):
slide left, keep Saquon Barkley to the right, and this
is taken care of.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
Now.

Speaker 5 (09:30):
I think that receivers could have done. You saw that
it was gonna be zero blitz. Somebody break the route.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
Sorry, Mark, go.

Speaker 6 (09:39):
Ahead, Davante. If you looked at the film, he was
right open in the middle of the field. I mean,
if it, Hurts would have hit him.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
Hurts doesn't see a lot more than his first three.

Speaker 5 (09:48):
You know that, Yeah, you know, and then because then
after that, then you get the you get the block
field goal.

Speaker 3 (09:55):
You know.

Speaker 5 (09:56):
But to me, I'm okay with the no time because
you're trying to score and not give them an opportunity
to do anything.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
I'm saying, you use your timeouts and give yourself over
three minutes to march down the field at your pace.

Speaker 5 (10:12):
You're gonna go a huddle anyway once you once once,
once you get past the two minute mark, I mean,
everybody's going no huddle. So I was okay with them
not calling time out. So I was okay with it.
You just make sure if this this wouldn't even be
a conversation if Saquon Barkley didn't run out of bounds going.

Speaker 6 (10:28):
For the first down. He should have got that that
first down. He was right there and it was a
questionable spot, right, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
Yeah, it was a questionable spot.

Speaker 5 (10:37):
I mean I felt like, you know, because he had
the room, but he was trying to get out of
bounds and stop the clock there, you know. But it
just didn't work out.

Speaker 3 (10:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
It was like two bad plays back to back, and.

Speaker 5 (10:46):
Then you go third and one of you like, all right,
now we're gonna take a shot play. But you know,
because you're you're sticking to the rules of protection and
you slide right and then now Saquan has across the
quarterback's face and then now you're putting him on the
rusher that's in space. Man, that's a problem. Got to
move through this.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
But I want to ask you playing under Andy Reid
and questionable clock management, especially in the first half, I mean,
did that bother you guys? Was that that always errant
time out in the first quarter because you couldn't get
a play in? Did they not trust McNabb calling plays
at the line? Talk to us about that for a
couple of minutes.

Speaker 5 (11:23):
Man, For me, I really didn't care about, you know,
clock management. I'm not looking at the clock. I got
the baddest damn defensive end that I got to sit
there and take care of. So I'm not worried about
how much time is stuff on the clock, what the
situation is. All I want to hear is what the
play is and what the cadence is and what my
guard is telling me. So you know, clock management to mean,
I don't, you know whatever, let's get to it, you know,

(11:45):
but you know, to me, I just felt like, and
now when it did come to if you asked if
we trusted McNab, there were times that, yeah, the play
was coming in late, you know what I'm saying, just
because you know, they're trying to make some calls and
things were going on, and then we will break the
huddle late, and then that makes us have to rush
when we're getting up on the line.

Speaker 2 (12:04):
Scrimmage tide, right, all right, Well that was my That
was my biggest complaint of the game. I actually thought
they should have jammed timeouts down Cleveland's throat, walked into
their possession with over three minutes and one time out
and been able to uh actually it would have been

(12:27):
two timeouts because uh, they would have had to pun
on fourth down, which they did, and uh, clock stops
and change the possession. So they go and all they
have to do is take one time out, one time
out at three twenty. And I don't, I don't, but you.

Speaker 3 (12:43):
Got to stop. I gotta stop.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
You got to stop. But you didn't get the ball
back with uh you got the ball back with one
fifty eight.

Speaker 3 (12:51):
Yeah, but you had enough, which is more than enough
time for us to do what you gotta do.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
Would you rather have three minutes?

Speaker 4 (12:57):
No?

Speaker 5 (12:57):
I don't know. I want to go. I want to
take whatever. Yeah, you don't want to just hear that.
I'm right on this. No, I don't, okay, I already
don't want to, but if you were right, we would
keep going.

Speaker 3 (13:09):
Yes, okay, all right?

Speaker 2 (13:12):
What can we take positive from this game? Actually? First
of all, who's this Rodney McCleod guy? You know who
Rodney McLeod is. You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (13:21):
He was playing for us. I mean he had the
best game of his career. I mean, man, I had
a heck of a game.

Speaker 2 (13:27):
Yeah, seriously, out of control? Out of control? All right?
What can what can we take positive from this game? A? J.
Brown is a stud stud opening game against Green Bay.
Five receptions for one hundred and seventeen yards in a touchdown.
By the way, Dave Spindaro, thank you for these stats.
Converted a second on the birds first drive, converted a

(13:48):
second eleven with a sixteen yard game converted another third
and seven going way up over Brown's quarterback Martin Everson
called a beautiful touchdown pass with his left hand. Finished
with six receptions for one hundred and sixteen yards, a
touchdown at a game seiling forty yard reception right after
the two minute warning. Tray talk to us about AJ Brown.

Speaker 5 (14:08):
I think AJ Brown is an animal, man, I think.
I mean he is advertised as advertised. I mean, he
is one of the best at tracking the ball, you know,
especially anything that's going over the shoulder and controlling his body.

Speaker 3 (14:20):
Can I whoa? I don't know if you want to,
how do I get left out? Man? What happened here?
All right? You know? Threw off my okay, all right, okay, But.

Speaker 5 (14:30):
Anyway, he's one of the best at controlling his body,
you know, with deep throws and keeping the defender on
his back and being able to you know, position himself
to make some of those big catches. Now, and then
when you get you know, Slim on the other side. Man,
that's one of the top rat runners that's in the game.

Speaker 2 (14:47):
Man.

Speaker 5 (14:47):
Now, I think that when you do have two animals
like that, it makes you pay too much attention to
them and you miss other opportunities down the field.

Speaker 6 (14:55):
Yeah, we got the best two wide receiver duos in
the league, without a doubt. I mean, AJ's hands are
just InCred and Davonte.

Speaker 2 (15:01):
Davante's body control, it just it amazes me. I mean,
I guess you have that when you're a smaller player.
You know you have that flexibility. But it's also funny,
like I see him running down the field and I
feel like I'm watching Mickey Mouse. Yeah, because he's so
small and his hands are so big, Like, hold on
a second, yo, Davonte. Whoever you're with, I'm sure they're happy.

(15:23):
But I mean, he's just he's a he's a pair
of running first baseman mits and he can turn his
body on on a dime and it's it's it's crazy, Trey,
how how annoying were was it playing against athletes that
could do that? It just amaze you every game with
a play that they make.

Speaker 3 (15:44):
I mean, you just respect them for what they are.

Speaker 5 (15:47):
You know what I'm saying, It's up to us to
our defensive players to get the stop. You know. But
I think that Davonte is just a really really gifted athlete.
With AJ Brown as well, you know, I mean AJ
is the physically like they are. What how do the
swollen and fast as a slim batman? You know, they
compliment each other extremely well. Uh.

Speaker 2 (16:09):
How do you feel about Quinnyon Mitchell GIVINGJJ a load
of grief after he blew that that interception for him?
I don't feel so bad. I kind of think like
Quinnyon was a little over zealous there. Everybody's going for
the ball, and I don't think CJ GJ knows that

(16:29):
Quentyn has that ball in hand.

Speaker 5 (16:31):
Okay, but when you go back here, you look at
that play, CJJ had the better angle because he was
coming in facing the ball. Now, Quentin would quin. I
want to make Quinnyon. I want to make sure I
pronounce his name correctly. Q.

Speaker 3 (16:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (16:47):
Q would have been making a catch over the shoulder,
but CJJ was coming facing it. You know. But like
football isn't like baseball where it's like I got it,
I got it. Where you could call a guy off,
you know, so you're gonna have some of those situations
where you know, he just bumping into I mean, he
was trying to make a play.

Speaker 6 (17:02):
I think he's been so close three times ready this year,
get an interception.

Speaker 5 (17:06):
He just has Well, how much do you think Slay
what slave pointed out to him about the ball, the
ball not having the stripe on it being a factor
in the game for him.

Speaker 3 (17:16):
You know, is that something that I never really thought about.

Speaker 2 (17:19):
The visual We haven't really talked about this, but man,
just just watching Quinnon Mitchell, especially after that Cleveland game,
right because hey, it's it's the Bobby Taylor syndrome. You
don't hear that name called, all right, Bobby Taylor. You

(17:40):
never heard his name during the game. You never heard
his name because nobody threw his way. Nobody wanted to
throw his way. You know this, You were a too
bit of his.

Speaker 5 (17:47):
Yeah, but I don't put much into this Cleveland game
performance just because of Mari Cooper was getting his name
was in trade talks a lot. So you could tell
when you watch the film that he really wasn't, you know,
giving everything that he had out there. You know, I
knew that this game was gonna blake be a game
that if our secondary came in it was physical, that
they would have a good performance. But this is you know,

(18:08):
I want to continue to see right now. I do
think q is an extremely gifted athlete. I think that
he is a lockdown corner. But I don't put a
whole lot of s thought into this Cleveland matchup just
because I felt like a Mari Cooper was just kind
of trying to make sure that he's healthy for the
next team that he goes to. That way, you see
Adams and everybody else is going right all right, getting

(18:30):
through a few things.

Speaker 2 (18:31):
Uh. I I do feel like Quinon Mitchell is going
to be the real deal. Oh yeah, having that having
that part of the secondary stabilizing it for a number
of years, I mean, we haven't had that since Leedo
and Sheldon because it certainly wasn't Nabi assenwah.

Speaker 3 (18:48):
All right, was just a bad That's yeah, that was
just to And by the.

Speaker 2 (18:55):
Way, Cooper dejen let's talk about the other gene, the gene.

Speaker 3 (19:04):
Dejon uh talk about.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
The other part of the equation that that was handled
a side punt return duties with an average of twelve
point eight yards per return on five attempts he gets
to start. The nickel position was strong in coverage total
of six sacks, a half a sack at a quarterback hit.
Not a bad day for a rookie second round pick. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (19:24):
I thought he did well, you know, and knowing that
he was going out there and doing all of this
on the defensive side of the ball and then getting
back there and have to take punts is even more impressive.
But I thought that Cooper Dijon uh play extreme home well,
you know what I'm saying. Even when he came in
on one of the sacks, I mean it was a
you know where he came off the left side.

Speaker 3 (19:45):
I mean, you know, it was a you know.

Speaker 5 (19:47):
To me, I felt like that the lion should have
slid to him and picked it up because he is
the nickel cornerback. You know that most of the time
the nicchol is going to blitz. But I thought he
did a good job out there, even being able to
when you saw run he would he was willing to
get dirty in and make some of those tough plays.

Speaker 2 (20:04):
I want to get through this before we go to
break and we're running at of time so we're going
to break right now. So what I just did was

I am quite positive that wasn't a crap show in
any capacity. But anyway, let's get back to positives to

(23:27):
take out of the game from last week and then
we got then we got a roll, We've got we've
got stuff to do. When we got a big, big
Kajata list to get through here. Brandon Graham played his
two hundred game as an Eagle. All right, if you
didn't notice that, and Trey, you had eleven twelve years
in the league, eleven with the Eagles after being drafted

(23:48):
eleventh overall in nineteen ninety eight. Before we talk about
that play that he made, I'm I'm curious what type
of dedication does it take to your trade to last
that long in the league. You know, former host here
on Green Leeds And Radio, Hollis Thomas played fifteen years.
Brandon's fifteen years. You're twelve. I mean that's a commitment

(24:12):
beyond Yeah, it takes a commitment to your craft. You know,
it's something that you have to wake up. Some days
you don't feel like getting up and going and getting
after it, you know. But BG seems like the type
of person that's waits up happy, you know what I'm saying,
and he's just excited and just ready to go.

Speaker 4 (24:27):
You know.

Speaker 5 (24:28):
I think that also the way they practice now helps
him a lot. You know, it's not as physical as
it once was, so I think that that helps, you know,
with his longevity, you know, and withness being his farewell tour,
I think BG is having a heck.

Speaker 2 (24:42):
Of a year. I do as well. I think it's
great he read a sweep and tackled Cedric Tillman with
Jameis Winston in which normally means he's going to keep it.
There was a negative five yards on that play enforce
the fifty two yard field goal, which Dustin Hopkins pushed
wide right, So you can you can say right now,
you know that game would have been a lot closer

(25:03):
if BG wasn't in it.

Speaker 3 (25:04):
I mean BG keeps making plays, you know.

Speaker 5 (25:08):
It is also you always see him every nine and
then round the quarterback, you know, making some big runs,
especially when it comes to setting edge. I mean BG
is one of the best defensive ends that we have
right now when it comes to setting edge versus a sweet.

Speaker 6 (25:21):
Yeah that and all years had big games, even against
the Saints, got a big game. I mean, he's he's
he's doing more than I thought he was gonna do
this year, and he's playing more snaps than I expected
him to play.

Speaker 2 (25:33):
It's it's impossible for Eagles fans to not love players
like you and Brandon Graham and Hollis just for the
dedication to the game. Speaking of offensive linemen in stats
for your ass, my favorite coach carter line. You guys
realize that the Eagles are fourteen and twenty three without
Lane Johnson playing. Okay, it's kind of crazy, right, Yeah,

(25:56):
that's crazy. That yeah, how about the crossing route working again?

Speaker 3 (26:03):
All right?

Speaker 2 (26:04):
Jack Stile gets in the way, which is a polite
term for a pick of Greg Newsom and allows Davonte
to spring for a forty five yard touchdown. I was
in the pisser when that happened, so I wasn't allowed
to come back every offensive play. I was forced to
go down to the bathroom. I'm happy to see that
working again. And that's Davante. You're putting Davonte on a

(26:26):
crossing route.

Speaker 5 (26:27):
It's usually for your bigger receivers, correct, But Davante has
no problem going across the middle. And you can tell
that Jalen Hurts trust him with that. You know, you
know aj Brown is gonna be more of your slant guy.
You know that you can get those little quick slants
in and you could trust his hands. But Davonte is
the one that has no problem going across the middle,
and you know he has definitely earned Jalen hurts trust

(26:49):
when it comes to that.

Speaker 2 (26:50):
Everybody forgot to talk about this on the way in
Quinby Here, host of Sorry, President of the South Florida
Bird Gang Club, Mark Ali, John Jansen back in studio,
Caesar Vezzoso, one of the I don't know, longest standing

(27:11):
employees for the Miami Beach Recreational parksman recks thirty one years. Obviously,
Caesar has a tough time holding down a job. Everybody,
And and Eagles Hall of Fame offensive lineman Trey Thomas, everybody,
it's excellent to get his take on everything. It's that's awesome. Actually,

(27:36):
and I have some questions. Were you here all right?
Gotta give it up to the defense, all right for
not giving up a touchdown and a goal line stance
with four minutes to go, by the way, all right, Trey,
when your defense had a goal line stance, how did
that fire up the offense?

Speaker 6 (27:56):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (27:56):
Yeah, absolutely.

Speaker 5 (27:57):
I mean anytime the defense gets to stop, you know,
everybody off of the energy, you know, because because the
defensive player is always the ones that make a player,
and they jump up and down, and you know, in
the whole stadium feel vibes off of that energy. So
as offensive player, one of the things that you have
to do is just try to calm yourself down just
so that you can get back out there and go
do what you have to do, because you can't. You
can't play like a defensive player. So you know, they

(28:20):
are the ones. When defensive guys go out there and
they make stop like that, everybody erupts, everything goes crazy.
And then now as offensive player, you got to kind
of just settle yourself so you can get back to work.

Speaker 2 (28:31):
So also, you know, we talk about we're proud Philadelphia
Eagles fans and those in the stadium are proud that
they're making a difference. And that was the case, all right,
fans caused that false start on fourth and eight that
led to a fourth and thirteen. You know, hey, that's

(28:56):
how you do it. That's how you do it. By
the way, a great, great short documentary on Netflix now
called The Turnaround if you haven't seen it, it's about
one guy in Philadelphia that encouraged an entire city to
give Trey Turner a standing ovation when he was in

(29:18):
a big slump. August fifth, August fourth or fifth, it
might have been both a series against the Royals back
at home, and Trey Turner got a standing ovation. I
remember that okay, and the documentary is pretty it's pretty awesome.
It's only like twenty seven minutes long, so it's not
something that takes up a lot of your time.

Speaker 3 (29:37):
It should be.

Speaker 2 (29:39):
That's about right. Yeah, you guys should watch it The
Turnaround on Netflix. So limited Cleveland to two hundred and
forty four yards of total offense. That's a great stat
on any day set Toshaun Watson spa day with Deshaun
Watson five times sixteen for twenty three fo one hundred
and sixty eight yards. Nice work guaranteeing this clown two

(30:01):
hundred and thirty million. The haslms Jalen Hurts. Protecting the
football Trey big time for you on on the offensive line.

Speaker 5 (30:09):
Correct, Yeah, absolutely, you're not putting the ball in danger.
I mean, you know, and that's what what he needs
to do. This is the first game that he wouldn't
didn't you know, not the first game, but you know,
one of those games that you're like, all right, he
didn't throw interception.

Speaker 3 (30:21):
At least he protected the ball.

Speaker 5 (30:22):
He didn't put any I can't remember any passes that
were in harm's way. And that's one of the things
I think that you know, you're coming out of a
bye week. That was a focus, focal point, you know,
making sure that hey, all the coaches play with their
own mentality. And you know, Jalen Hurts don't throw the
ball away.

Speaker 6 (30:40):
Uh, if you want to wagh In, I think he did.
He had a great game, better than the games he
had before. He protected the ball and uh, you know,
I think having a j and Uh DeVante back was
a big yeah, big reason for that. If he at
the comfort level, you could tell with the offense, he
felt a lot more comfortable.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
It's it's obvious as well that Jalen Hurts just feels
extremely comfortable throwing to AJ Brown in any situation. And
it appears as though AJ Brown is quite comfortable with
just just figuring out how to catch the damn thing.

(31:19):
Go ahead, Yeah, to the.

Speaker 5 (31:20):
Point, you know, yeah, it's good that he's comfortable throwing
the ball to AJ Brown. But then when you go
back east one of the incomplete passes that he threw
to AJ Brown in front of the first couple series,
you know, you had Calcutta Calkatarra.

Speaker 3 (31:32):
Yeah, I mean, but I mean, but he.

Speaker 5 (31:35):
Missed him one time where I mean he was wide
open breaking off to the right. But because AJ Brown
is that animal, you know, he's gonna get all the attention.
So that's why I think that, Yeah, it's good that
you have AJ Brown, you got Slim over there on
the other side. That can also help. But I think
that you need to get a little bit more comfortable
with everybody else as well, because that's what a good

(31:56):
quarterback does.

Speaker 3 (31:57):
He seemed very comfortable with Grant though. That was very
he did.

Speaker 2 (32:01):
All right, So since we have a lot to get through,
I want to talk about, you know, around the league.
I'm gonna jump a little bit because I think this
makes everybody in this place happy. Last week, everybody, how
about them Cowboys, you got crowded, you got rut of Arguably,

(32:25):
Detroit is the best team in the NFC, not without
a doubt. I'm sorry, I disagree with that. I think
Tampa is legitimately up there as well. The forty nine
Ers are the best three and three team in the
league right now. We'll get to that in a minute,
but I just wanted to say that, Trey, we discussed

(32:48):
on the show last week, we expected the Commanders to lose, yes,
discussing yeah.

Speaker 5 (32:52):
You know, you know, well, I don't know, I didn't
know what to expect from the commanders just because you know,
everything is so new, seeing how Daniels was going to play.
But I thought they went toe to toe with Baltimore.
You know, they had a good game plan. They went
out there and they excut. They just didn't come out
with the win. But I think that Washington right now
is still a strong team.

Speaker 2 (33:12):
By the way, are the Jets always gonna be this bad?

Speaker 4 (33:14):
No?

Speaker 2 (33:15):
Yeah they are, No, they are. They have a bad owner. Yeah,
whatdy Johnson sounds like something something sticking out of a
unicorns head.

Speaker 5 (33:23):
Yeah, but right now he's allowing Aaron, I mean Aaron
Rodgers to go ahead and do whatever he wants to do,
get the people in office in the building that he wants.
So I don't know he make this straight for Devonte
Adams helps maybe you know what I'm saying. You got
Hassan Reddick. Now you went ahead and said, all right,
you know what, we're gonna eat those twelve million dollars
worth of fines that you were gonna give Hassan Reddick.

(33:43):
So now you got to pass Rusher back out there.
So I think that the Jets might You're gonna see
you know, if Aaron Rodgers really is that guy, you know,
and if Adams really is going to bring that much
of a change up to the team, then we're gonna see.

Speaker 2 (33:58):
Uh you want that?

Speaker 6 (34:00):
I think Rogers out of the excuses, right yeah, oh yeah,
the coach is gone, he's got his once again.

Speaker 2 (34:06):
Receiver Chris Sacks still saying he's disappointed in tmz no
video of Robert Salle walking out of the facility after
he got fired.

Speaker 5 (34:16):
That would have been great, right yeah, yeah, Well with
the armed security, whatever you have on you, that's what
you need to leave now. I hope you have your
car keys. If not, they just stay stand outside. Which
car we will bring your keys to you or else?
Do we need to call you a uber?

Speaker 2 (34:31):
You know? All right? So back to what I was
talking about. Are the Bucks a legit contender for a
Super Bowl? They routed the Saints fifty one to twenty one.
I think the Saints are bad. I think the Saints
are bad without Derek Carr. Right, without Derek Carr, Yeah,
rattlers or quarterback. But they still have some semblance of
a defense, some semblance. Do we disagree? I don't know?

(34:55):
All right, So that that wasn't great, all right? This
week's schedule, Yes, liking the Seahawks Falcons matchup. I want
to see what happens there. I want to see because
I think the Seahawks are a very good football team. Now.
Is Kirk Cousins legit? It's it's in it. It's in Atlanta.
It's in Atlanta, all right, So that helps the cause

(35:16):
in Atlanta Falcons fans. It takes him about six weeks
to warm up the four and two. But they'll they'll
get it, you know, all right, they'll get there. What
do you think, I don't know. I think that's gonna
be a good game.

Speaker 4 (35:29):
You know.

Speaker 5 (35:30):
See if Atlanta can sit up there and continue to
do what they're doing, you know, see if the Seahawks
can bring something.

Speaker 3 (35:34):
To the table. They can that.

Speaker 5 (35:36):
I'm really looking forward to though, and I'm really looking
forward to I want to see if the Jets against Pittsburgh,
you got Russell Wilson getting his first start. You know
what I'm saying, super super positive guy.

Speaker 2 (35:46):
I would I would rather exphyxiate myself to perform self lobotomy.
There's something else I want to say, but I've got
a letter. I'll get a letter and have something to
do with start. It has something to do with my
junk and a cheese grater.

Speaker 3 (36:02):
Seearra dancing all over the place with the baby. Don't
you know what.

Speaker 2 (36:08):
We're gonna skip the rest of around the league because
we have six minutes and then we got to get
into Kajata and predictions for the game. Here's where the
entire show and this game gets interesting. The Giants and
the Mars have pretty much been abysmal for the last
seven seasons. All right, they do have two Super Bowls

(36:29):
in the last two decades, however, but focusing on the
last seven years, ownership has proven they don't know a
damn thing about running a football team. This doesn't help
when we remember that they dashed our division title in
the last game of the regular season less than a
year ago, so you know, talk about it. It's a

(36:52):
bit of a conundrum here for them. And I love
any New York team in turmoil, but Trey, this team
doesn't seem to be able to get out of its
own way.

Speaker 5 (37:03):
Yeah, you know, with the whole thing, with the way
they handle Saquon Barkley, you know, even with them getting
on the news. I mean, he's putting it out there
about hey man, hey, good luck finding somebody, and then
you know, you send Saquon Barkley out of there, and
then what you give Singletary's number? You know? And you know,
to me, that's like, uh, just imagine a player of

(37:25):
that caliber, as soon as he leaves, you give another
player's number, like Brian Dawkins. You know what I'm saying,
Even though he went on to Denver, you know, no
one was going to wear twenty just because of what
he milt meant to the organization. But to me, they
were like, all right, you know what, hey, you know,
good luck, we'll see it later and then someone else

(37:45):
is gonna wear you number. And then were gonna get
that idea.

Speaker 2 (37:47):
I'm gonna lose sleep over there. So I love that
talk about this game. The Giants defense is pretty good,
all right. Dexter Lawrence is still a stud. McFadden makes plays.
O Jaalai is really good. Brian Burns had his best
game as a Giant last week. He's battling through a
groin injury. And I believe not o Jealari, somebody else

(38:12):
is in concussion protocol right now. But and you have
Fred Johnson now stepping into Jordan Mylotta's role. How do
you feel about that? This is your position?

Speaker 3 (38:25):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (38:27):
You know what, We'll see how Fred Johnson steps in,
because he's gonna have to step in and.

Speaker 2 (38:30):
Play left tackle, you know, and he likes left more
than right, and he's a backup on both.

Speaker 5 (38:35):
Well, who cares which one you like? You gotta do
what you gotta do this, you know, you know I
I need him to just step in and play. Well,
you know, this is going to be a silent count game,
you know, so everything is going to be off the
center's cadence, so that as an extra layer to it,
you know, just as being out there to the left tackle, which,
by the.

Speaker 2 (38:53):
Way, I wore a tribute hat to an offensive line
of the Philadelphia Eagles this week. Right here is called
beef Jerky. This is Cam Jurgens Beef Jerky Company. Okay,
Cam Jurgens has a beef jerky and it's delicious. It's
called beef Jerky j U R g Y So, uh

(39:17):
I I highly recommend you go online and buy it.
It's phenomenal. Daniel Jones all Right, this Bengals game, if
you watched any of it, uh I get that they
were without Melik Neighbors. But come on, Melik Neighbors is
still in concussion protocol and we don't know he's playing. Okay,

(39:39):
he had no contact practice all week, So I'm alright
with that because I'm confident in our secondary now. But
Daniel Jones doesn't seem like he refuses to look at
anything other than his first read.

Speaker 5 (39:51):
I mean, you better hope you don't get Daniel Jones
that they had against Seattle, you know, because he was
out there, he was willing, he was dealing against Seattle.
So you know you need the Daniel Jones that let's
confused out there.

Speaker 2 (40:03):
I'm gonna, I'm going, I'm going, I'm jumping a little bit,
but I'm not, uh weigh in for me. I'm curious
if this is business as usual when one team is
in constant disarray or and I'm not talking about a

(40:27):
let me let me jump, all right. Saquon Barkley coming
back to New York. All right, and we saw what
Rodney McLeod did to the Eagles last week. All right,
this isn't just a normal game for him, right, He
is gonna be angry. But is the New York Giants
the Giants football team going to be just as angry

(40:51):
back talk talk about that kind of matchup, and then
we're probably gonna take a break.

Speaker 5 (40:56):
I think that is definitely gonna come out and fired
up because I mean, this is a team that slighted him.
You know, they he wanted to I think he really
wanted to stay in New York Giant. But then once
they say all right, we don't want to do business
with you and the senior talents elsewhere, then all right,
then well I'm gonna go back and show you what
you missed. It's like when you dump your girl and
she goes against this revenge body.

Speaker 2 (41:17):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (41:18):
So there you go. You know, I think he's gonna
come back on fire and he's gonna be in there
fired up. But you know, I think that their defense
is going to be gonna have some pride and say,
all right, you know what.

Speaker 2 (41:29):
A great defensive line offensive line matchup today?

Speaker 5 (41:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (41:32):
I think so this is gonna be a you know,
this is every game is won and lost in the trenches.

Speaker 5 (41:36):
But I think that you know, they're gonna have to
give Sakuan the ball a lot, and then you know,
with him not being scoring over the past couple of days.
I think that if he gets close to the N zone,
he's definitely gonna get the ball.

We've got predictions and we and then we have Kajata.
Kajada is kick ass, jackass or dumb ass, and I
promise you it's gonna be fun today. All right, So Trey,
how the Eagle's gonna win this game today? I say, uh,
do we have you up? No?

Speaker 3 (45:37):
I'm here Okay, Yeah, I was just tacond a deep breath.

Speaker 2 (45:41):
Not sure for Paul Brian Brian Burns is playing correct,
Brian Burns is playing. If he is, he's playing with
a busted groin. I'm not sure. I did not play
as a Thursday. If he does play, he might not
be one hundred percent. So that should make life a
little easier for Fred Johnson. I have no issue with

(46:03):
Isaiah Rodgers stepping in for Slave.

Speaker 3 (46:05):
No, not at all comfortable.

Speaker 5 (46:07):
No, I think I'm good with that, and I feel
it especially after Slave just went back on Bikah's podcast
right after you know, yeah, yeah, and.

Speaker 2 (46:15):
Especially after watching Cooper showed some real promise in the
Nickel last week. How do you feel about both of
those situations.

Speaker 3 (46:24):
I think we're a very progressive secondary some melting pot
back there.

Speaker 2 (46:32):
Is it the Dudes on Dude Hill again?

Speaker 5 (46:34):
No, it's definitely not the Dudes on Dudes, but it's
definitely very progressive back there.

Speaker 2 (46:39):
Yeah. Uh, Moro Ojamo is gonna need to step up
in place of Milton Williams, who I know is not
playing today. Yeah, and I feel pretty good about that. Finally,
let's say Kwan run the.

Speaker 5 (46:53):
Ball right, let him run the ball, man, let him
have any I I think that this needs to be
a twenty carry day for you. He needs to touch
the ball at least twenty times, you know, for this
game to be successful for the end the way we
wanted to end, we need to be able to control
the clock and keep their offense off the field.

Speaker 2 (47:13):
Now, I totally agree. I mean, it's got to be
a Saquon game. It'll call him the best color analyst
in the league for nothing money? Go are you kidding me?
Dj Phil from Delilah's here with us today.

Speaker 3 (47:26):
All right?

Speaker 2 (47:27):
All right, really he didn't call me you're you're a richard.
Just say it though. All right, so you're gonna sit
here too good?

Speaker 1 (47:36):
All right?

Speaker 2 (47:37):
Anyway, how do you feel about what Tae Kwon's gonna do.

Speaker 5 (47:43):
I think he's gonna have over one hundred yards rushing,
you know, possibly at least a touchdown. You know, I
see him coming out of this game with a touchdown,
you know. Will it be like how he did in
his home opener where he went out there and I
think he had three touchdowns. I don't know if he
ever had that type of performance.

Speaker 2 (47:59):
I hope he does.

Speaker 5 (48:00):
But at least at least one touchdown over one hundred
yards Russian. All Right, everybody, it's time.

Speaker 3 (48:07):
It is time. I can't wait.

Speaker 2 (48:08):
I hope you guys enjoy this as much as I do. Okay,
it's time for Green Lesion radio segment called kick Ass,
Jackass or dumb Ass? All Right, I went hard on this. Uh.
Some of them are just amusing. Some of them should
be pretty damn funny. Basically, what we do is we

(48:31):
go through I pick up a topic, talk about it,
and then everybody on the panel decides whether or not
it's kick ass, jackass or dumbass. And that includes John
Jansen back in studio. So, considering we only have five
minutes left, let's get to it. Everybody, Miracle at the
Meadowlands one, Mark kick Ass, Chanson kick Ass Miracle at

(48:59):
the Metal Lands to kick ass? Was that? Was that that?

Speaker 5 (49:06):
Shaun Jackson's was a miracle two? And Westbrook was miracle one?

Speaker 2 (49:10):
No? Uh?

Speaker 3 (49:12):
Herman Edwards, Oh well, wait a minute, where does Westbrook
fit in?

Speaker 2 (49:16):
It? Is that one that wasn't?

Speaker 5 (49:19):
Was that?

Speaker 2 (49:20):
That would be? That was a good one. I don't
know if I can say a mirror that was never
that was never called miracle of the Metal lands. What
I get it. It was a good it was a
great play, and it's amazing play. It's one of b West.
It wasn't a miracle of the metal watching that, Okay.
NFL dot Com readers voting to Shawn Jackson's punt return

(49:40):
the best play of all time kick ass.

Speaker 3 (49:44):
Okay, that was kick ass because that was a hell
of a play though.

Speaker 2 (49:48):
All right, here we go. Now, now it's gonna start
getting a little funnier.

Speaker 5 (49:51):
Here we go.

Speaker 2 (49:53):
Matt Dodgers sideline pep talk.

Speaker 3 (49:57):
I never heard of it.

Speaker 2 (49:58):
I don't know Matt Dodges the pun her that kicked
out directly to DeShawn Jacksons.

Speaker 3 (50:04):
