The Velocity Fund directly supports Philadelphia-based artists by awarding grants up to $5000. Open to a wide range of experimental practices, particularly those that emphasize collaboration between artistic genres. I spoke to one of the recipients, Melissa Langer, a filmmaker working on an installation and film called “InExcess” which takes a new look at an old problem: illegal dumping in Philadelphia.

Set deep inside the Catskill mountains - I was dropped into the middle of a world of people who were brilliant, creative, and a little bit revolutionary.
