Speaker 3 (01:21):
Yeah, you waited until it was sixty degree week or
fifty five degree week to come up.

Speaker 4 (01:25):
Which are still relatively this is tropical canals as.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
Harry in the in this hoodie.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
Two days. Yeah, I've been playing golf.

Speaker 4 (01:34):
I was pleasantly surprised getting off the plane. I was like, okay,
you can work with this.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
Yeah, doesn't doesn't hit in the face when you walk outside.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
Yeah, let's hope the rest of the week trends like this.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
All right, let's start there. How do you how's it
feeld being back on the course, not completely bundled.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
It feels great. And you know, I've been hitting in
a in a screen, you know, most of the winter,
outside of going to Arizona in December and Florida in January.
But it feels good to actually just be outside and
you know, seeing you, you know, your your shape or
your shot. You know, it's because it doesn't hit the
screen eight feet in front of you. But games in

(02:10):
a pretty good form for this time of year.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
Out the course. How's the course look right now?

Speaker 1 (02:14):
It actually looks okay. They just it opens this Saturday,
so they're getting it ready and cleaning it up. There's
you know a lot of goose debris over the winter,
which is always nice, but they had it cleaned up
really nicely yesterday.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
Beautiful.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
Yeah you get out by anything.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
No.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
I've took a semi lesson last Friday over at the
Legacy Club and that was the first time I had
pulled a club back since the fall. But it felt great,
good honestly. Yeah, we're throwing a couple of things. I'm back,
so back.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
Well, when's the mini driver going the bad?

Speaker 2 (02:47):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (02:47):
Yeah, no, no, I still have to I still have
to do some fitting. Okay, I think I want to
replace my driver driver too.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
So now do you get fitted Legacy or do you go?

Speaker 3 (02:56):
Yeah, I could, I'm I'm debating. So it's still uh
you know right now yeaeah, we're open trying to feel
that out. But yeah, we'll see how that goes. I'll
tell you one place that was in incredible shape. That
was in Mexico. I mean, oh, that place looked great.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Vedanta World. Man, that's on the list that's gotta be.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
I saw you tweet that.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
Oh yeah, that place looks great.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
And I don't know if you guys saw facxis thing.
He said, it's pretty cool. Like his ride to work.
He gets on like a ferry. Ye to go over
at Vononta, so to go from like the resort, if
you will over to the course, you jump on a ferry.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
And you know, a two minute ride across. Yeah, that
commute to work.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
That looked really cool. Yeah, really cool.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
And ratings were up for that too.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
First year, I think it spiked like I don't know,
over five hundred thousand something like that, and it goes
up near two mil.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
And interesting too because right it wasn't the biggest names now,
especially in the end with Brian Campbell getting in. Yeah,
and I was tuned in.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
I was.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
I was watching the last hour or so and it
was awesome to see. But isn't it funny in the
game of golf there's no other sport of trying to
think about it, Like you know, in hockey you can
get a deflection or get lucky.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
Right, especially in the playoffs of somebody's rump.

Speaker 3 (04:06):
But hitting a book but it would almost like be
like in hockey hitting a fan and then the puck
going into the net ry in golf where you can
hit a tree and then be dead and it comes
back and you could win a tournament. It's it's what
makes the game called incredible. But it was. It was
so crazy watching that happen. And the other thing is

(04:27):
too And then you know, learned this really watching golf
over a couple years. I remember Ricky a couple of
years ago, like, these guys are never out of it, right, Like,
I don't care where the ball is, They can put
that ball back in play and make their next shot better,
get close and make a putt. So it's crazy you
think not like us, especially when in a playoff and
you're like, no, I mean sometimes it does, but more

(04:50):
times than not it doesn't matter. But yeah, it was.
It was a bit of a pillow fight. That was
the end, Right, your guy, you're gonna let you pronounce
his name? Yeah, I know.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
I was like, polar guys, you're a pot geter. From coverage,
it was, well, I mean, he moves it and she's
the longest hitter on tour, longer than Rory for now.

Speaker 4 (05:10):
Right, there's an asterisk near that because Okay, so when
they're averaging your length, it's based off of like how
many you hit. So most guys aren't hitting driver as
often as Rory. That's why he kind of on paper, the.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
Guys, it's where you start measuring from. It could always
be skewed, but.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
I don't I don't know whatsure. I don't know what
kind of tree that was that he hit, But whatever
it is, the Campbell's need to put one in their
backyard all.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
Over the toasted it.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
Oh yeah, they went, they went to it.

Speaker 3 (05:41):
That was I thought that was an awesome shot after
after winning that, but I.

Speaker 4 (05:47):
Think he might have quick golf for a little bit
or something like that and came back.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
So just seeing his name up top all of a sudden, out.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
Of nowhere, it was like watching his wife, watching Brian
Campbell's wife. It was white, I think it was. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
Yeah, her reaction, she was feeling.

Speaker 4 (06:01):
Oh, he dropped to the knees, like ran out there
like but I mean it's gutting, you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
The Yeah, they're right there along every step of the way.
I mean, listen, you know more than anyone, you hear
about every shot, every miss, every make. You're living it
right there with them. And you know, her reaction was
was tremendous. I mean, watching her in the first playoff
hole where I guess the putt putt didn't go in.

Speaker 4 (06:24):
You're like, and and was that his dad right next
so and I actually said to be watching, I go,
oh my god, I said, I like, if you're in
this position, which hopefully you'll be in, their cameras aren't
on me, because when when she was like, oh, like,
I'm like, I wouldn't want him seeing my reaction.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
She was gudding like yeah.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
She was like what, like, yeah, but I dad too.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
The whole juxtaposition of the two players in the playoff,
the one guy hits a three point fifty yes, and
the other guy hits a two seventy five on a
good day, you know, And it's it just goes to
show you that with that sport, it doesn't matter, like
guys can win so many day different ways. And I
thought that was really cool. I'm glad Campbell won.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
Yeah, what do you think about your Jeger?

Speaker 1 (07:06):
Oh he's dead to me. He missed the cut earlier
in the year. I root against more people than I
root for. You don't watching, And let me talk about
speaking of the guy I had Harry Hall, that strap Okay,
he goes out to a six or seven under Day one,
takes the lead right, ends up struggling to make the

(07:26):
cut on a par three thirteenth hole, the shortest hole
on the golf course. There's no water, no hazards, there's
two green side bunkers. It took him three shots to
get it on the green one hundred and thirty seven
yard hole.

Speaker 3 (07:43):
A pro allegedly let me scratch Harry Hall off the
future guest list of Swing. Oh, he needs to come
on and explain himself appearing sea He.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
Hit it one hundred and thirteen.

Speaker 4 (07:55):
Yards because the rest, I mean terrible. He hasn't won
this year, to apologize, Yeah, no, it's great. I think
it'd be really good to maybe take a little clip
or twelve from our our group text and show.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
Harry's he's dead to me or.

Speaker 4 (08:16):
This guy like, I love Harry's U banter about some
of the players he takes.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
Obviously there's a more vested interest when.

Speaker 4 (08:23):
We're you know, have them in the pool or whatever,
you know, putting some money on him that week.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
But I love your passion for its thoroughly entertaining.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
Yeah, but that was a great viewership, great winner. Yeah,
hot geater he started he started one hundred to one.
I mean, so it was a long shot, you know,
but there were there were some of the sharps that
kind of had had their eye on him.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
But Campbell I think was the least bet guy of
the entire field.

Speaker 4 (08:47):
Oh I'm sure, and you know, you know what it
is because I think one of you guys are like,
who bet on this guy?

Speaker 2 (08:51):
But it's like they're friends.

Speaker 4 (08:53):
Like I'm telling you every week, no matter what, like
a couple of my friends are always throwing money on
brand and it doesn't matter if it's like what it is,
they're always like.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
Well, at least put twenty down.

Speaker 3 (09:03):
You know, everyone was talking about it's a long hitters course, right,
so even if you know, he would probably rank.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
Which is funny that Campbell won't, right.

Speaker 3 (09:10):
Yeah, that's right. No one was on him. But that's
what makes the game great and turned out to be
a great Sunday and a great watch. So congrats to
Brian Campbell.

Speaker 2 (09:20):
Come on the show.

Speaker 3 (09:21):
We had some news break this week. We've decided to
move the Fox Sports to Gambler, Swing It and ding
It open, benefiting the Magical Meala Foundation. It's going to
be October twentieth. That is the official date is October
twentieth at the Legacy Club. The July dates were filling
up the way the holiday fell. It's been so hot

(09:43):
the past two years. It's it is just draining on us,
on our friends here in the room who help out
our staff. And October last year, if it's any indication,
was just incredible. Yes, and I feel like it'll create
a longer hang for everybody. We'll see. It's a Monday.
The Eagle schedule didn't come out. It could roll into
a Monday night football game for all we know about.

(10:04):
But we've decided to make the move. Hopefully it doesn't
affect too many. But with the waiting list we had
to get in it last year, I think we'll be
I think we'll be good to go. But I know
we have some summertime sponsors and stuff to get involved.
But yeah, more to come. We're gonna be launching everything soon.
The site will go live. We will do our early
bird sign up contest again for a trip to Casa

(10:24):
the Campo, so all that will be coming. Stay tuned.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
I love it.

Speaker 4 (10:30):
Harry and I both just added it to our calendar
and I'm just checking the tour schedule now to see
what's going on?

Speaker 2 (10:36):
But well, no, Corn's already done.

Speaker 4 (10:38):
So and then October twentieth, that week would be Black
Desert Championship Intah.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
Yeah, so interesting.

Speaker 4 (10:47):
I've been to Utah's where my dog's from.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
What are you guys thinking about Full Swing? I mean,
I'm not hanging hang. I'm sorry I said that wrong.
I've read the wrong read the wrong note TGL. TGL
like I still enjoy it, I still watch it. There
was a lot of it. I feel like in the
past couple of weeks. I'm just wondering, like, what's going
to happen.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
I'm not like you. I don't still watch it. I
think I know. I mean, I don't watch much TV,
though I watched.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
Well, the times are always changing at.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
That sort, which is weird.

Speaker 4 (11:19):
So if it was like something I'm very regimented, so
maybe that's why. But and actually be got invited to go,
but it was on Monday, so we were going to go,
and I was like, oh, maybe I'll still go, but
I was.

Speaker 2 (11:29):
Like, just with Cognizant this week, I didn't.

Speaker 4 (11:31):
But I think once I get there in person and
see it and might pull me back in.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
But I don't. I don't know. What's drawing you to it? Like,
why are you watching it each week?

Speaker 3 (11:39):
What do you like about I'm not I'm watching bits
and pieces Like this week I didn't watch any of it.
I'm still interested in.

Speaker 1 (11:44):
It, though I watched it from start to finish.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
Tell us why, Like what pulls you in?

Speaker 1 (11:48):
Well, I mean because I'm seeing now as it's getting
closer to the playoffs, these guys really are competitive. Like
the first couple of nights, it didn't seem like they
really gave a rats you know what. But now they're
into it. I think that that draws me in. And
I even watched the match Tuesday night at nine o'clock
it started, which is late for me, but I stayed

(12:11):
up for eleven and there was no Tiger and no
Ludwig Oberg on the respective teams, and I still watched it.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
So you might have sold me then, because I like
the fact that you said they're.

Speaker 4 (12:21):
Competitive, because before I didn't see a ton of competitiveness.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
But full disclosure, I watched maybe.

Speaker 4 (12:26):
The first couple of ones, the first two, and that
was it, and I was like, okay, this there's no competition,
there's no you know, it's just kind of like an
I was like, it's snooze fascinating.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
Rory's team is the only team without a win, so
that I'm really interested in that. You don't say Tiger
and Rory are going to miss the playoffs and tgo
how about that?

Speaker 2 (12:47):
Is that your birthday gift?

Speaker 1 (12:48):
Guys?

Speaker 3 (12:49):
But still is like, well, it's funny because I think
the tech I was going to.

Speaker 4 (12:54):
Say is there's still tech issues because it's what Tiger's tech, right,
But everyone's.

Speaker 3 (12:58):
Just that's the thing, like that came out right. It's
for I forget the.

Speaker 1 (13:03):
Name of the company that does full Swing No, no.

Speaker 3 (13:05):
No, Daniel, look it up, but you know that's that's
where they kind of got ripped. But everyone's comparing it
to their simulator full.

Speaker 2 (13:14):
Swing Tracer and cap Tech E Combo.

Speaker 3 (13:17):
Well, the problem is people are comparing that to an
indoor simulator. This is completely different. You're hitting a screen
like what happened the one time was the technology picked
up a divot and but that's not because it's because
the technology, Like you don't do that in any other
simulator to bash the technology and there you know what,
that's a great was misfounded great point though.

Speaker 4 (13:38):
Too, because I was just on the train of like yeah,
like they're only using Tiger's technology because it's you know,
Tiger like and it's his like endeavor. But I was like,
all right, like why not get something that's better. But
I didn't really think about it. They're hitting off the
real grass, so yeah, there there's gonna be some they're hitting. Yeah,
they have a grounds keeper there, like it's they're growing

(14:01):
grass outside.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
They bring in new strips like for the boys to head.

Speaker 3 (14:03):
Off of, and and they had like the director of
technology or sometime. I was listening to an interview and
he was defending it. Obviously that's his job, of course,
but then they're like, well what happens sometimes when you
see the players, you know, and they're and they're like
shaking head. He's like, do you ever watch the tour?
He's like have you ever seen guys do that in
the air, Like it's the same thing, Like these guys
missed a shot and they're like looking around like this
can't be my fault, right right right? What happened? This

(14:25):
gave my fault? So it's interesting.

Speaker 1 (14:27):
I just like.

Speaker 3 (14:29):
When the playoffs are over, this thing is just sitting dormant,
Like what's the use of this for the next I
don't know eight months like.

Speaker 4 (14:34):
And honestly, like because I think we talked about it
on one of the first like weeks of the show
or of the TGL show that it's like can we
use this for something else?

Speaker 2 (14:43):
But I don't know, like that just go there.

Speaker 4 (14:46):
Yeah, but like that green that's moving, I don't think
you can just like and I don't think you can
like pick it up and like move it like the
screens maybe, but like the big rotating green, like you're going.

Speaker 3 (14:56):
To use it for something, But I don't know.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
Well, they had Arthur Blank was interviewed to than in
his birthday party. Hey he's one of the owners that
he owns the Atlanta team and he was in the
stands and they interviewed him and he he said that
they're going to be adding more teams, yes, you know,
for next year, and they're going to try to get
the women involved of the LPGA involved.

Speaker 3 (15:16):
About how about Brooks was on site?

Speaker 1 (15:18):
Yeah, he was, he was there.

Speaker 2 (15:19):
What is that? What is the season of this?

Speaker 3 (15:22):
What is the season of the playoffs?

Speaker 1 (15:24):
Are like January through early March and went to the
off again. It was early January.

Speaker 3 (15:30):
Only a couple months, That's what I'm saying. Ten months,
just sitting doing too much money in that building.

Speaker 2 (15:35):
Not way too much.

Speaker 3 (15:36):
So we'll say yeah, yeah, yeah, So wait Brooks was
Brooks hanging out with the guys. Didn't any shots though, right,
like you know, they were playing.

Speaker 1 (15:45):
I didn't see him playing. I didn't see him hit
any shots. But they added Tony Now to the l
A roster for a one off I think because I
did see some of the roads couldn't make it, yeah,
I guess, and they they brought him on.

Speaker 4 (15:58):
And when we went there when he was doing some testing,
they said they had, like you know, they have a
roster of local guys, so say like somebody you know,
somebody's likes canceled or you know, they have some type
of commitment. Yeah that they're just like he either like
you know, Eric Cole come over here real quick.

Speaker 3 (16:15):
And jump in thunder for a one day contract. No
big deal.

Speaker 1 (16:21):
But if they really want to make some news though,
they should bring a live guy in. That's what they
should do.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
Maybe that's why Brooks he was.

Speaker 3 (16:28):
There, but owned by Tiger. I think there's some some
more stuff I don't know.

Speaker 1 (16:32):
R Rory's got one foot on the live tour as
we speak.

Speaker 3 (16:37):
Well, it's interesting you're hearing some of the stuff, right,
likeson has this huge contract number coming up? Yeah, Brooks right, like,
this is the time, this is a turnover, these huge
contracts coming coming up. Did the did the Prince get
his money? Right?

Speaker 1 (16:49):
Is he?

Speaker 3 (16:50):
Is he happy with the product? What's going to happen?
And I think that's going to really help negotiations with
with Don and involved and trying to get a deal done.

Speaker 4 (16:58):
So how great is it too that he just is like,
come on, let's fix this, Let's get a deal done.

Speaker 2 (17:02):
I can get the deal done.

Speaker 1 (17:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (17:04):
Let me let me pause on that Ukraine Russia for
a second. To fixed professional golf.

Speaker 1 (17:08):
He said, it's more complicated than Ukraine, which is wild
wild stuff.

Speaker 2 (17:14):
Audio.

Speaker 3 (17:18):
All right, let's go into some tea and then we
will branch out from your your subjects from there. Danielle.

Speaker 4 (17:23):
Yeah, well, I'll see some of the tea because I
was on site Cognizant this week and then, you know,
so delightfully took a flight here so I could skip
some of the craziness in town. So it actually feels
nice to be here. But yeah, so we were talking
a little bit about full Swing.

Speaker 2 (17:38):
So I haven't seen any of it yet.

Speaker 1 (17:42):
Harry, I've watched three episodes.

Speaker 3 (17:43):
Ye, Harry has been if I sit down, I'm going
to watch the whole thing. So I have to I
have to wait until I have a block, right.

Speaker 1 (17:51):
I think it's better than any of the two first seasons.

Speaker 2 (17:54):
And who are some of the guys on there?

Speaker 1 (17:57):
Way? Yeah, that episode is great, you know, basically Scottie.
They're getting into that whole whole scene. I liked it
because they seem to be moving around a lot in
an episode to different guys. It kind of draws you
in more. Yeah, Like it's not fifteen or twenty minutes

(18:18):
on this one guy.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
They and they're like cooking pizza at home. It's like
coming right.

Speaker 1 (18:23):
Yeah, No, I think it's really good.

Speaker 2 (18:25):
Did they do the episode of Scottie like the Arrest thing?

Speaker 1 (18:28):
They've touched on it.

Speaker 4 (18:29):
I've seen some bits and pieces come out, so that
didn't air yet?

Speaker 1 (18:32):
No, Okay, well, I mean you could watch it, you
could binge it.

Speaker 3 (18:35):
Oh yeah, yeah, okay, I want to see the Gary
Wooden oh yeah episode or a chunk of episode or
whatever it is.

Speaker 4 (18:41):
That.

Speaker 3 (18:42):
Yeah, I saw some clips today that came out, it was.

Speaker 2 (18:44):
Like, sheesh, right, that's all I've been seeing is the clips.

Speaker 4 (18:47):
So I did see the Neil Shipley one where he's like,
my body's by waffle house, and I'm like, man, this
guy is cool, Like we need to hang like that,
we need to get Oh he's.

Speaker 3 (18:54):
So funny, I think of And obviously Chad Mum knows
what he's doing, right, We've had him on multiple time.
He's a Hollywood producer, right, like he knows the I'm
gonna use your worditary juxtaposition of drama and comedy right
where you have Gary Woodland talking about writing letters to
his kids and his wife because he might not make
it out of surgery, and then you have the Neil

(19:14):
Shipley stuff, right, So like the ups and downs of
a show like that are what makes that thing tremendous
and I can't wait to watch it. But yeah, I
mean the U and I think you've seen the progression
of of what they've done and the access they've gotten
and how they're getting better at this show too because
they know where to be in advance. But like remember
he talked about like they're rushing around their stories breaking

(19:36):
like it seems like they just are on it down
the ryder.

Speaker 4 (19:39):
I've seen him on side of Cognizad this week. It's like, yeah,
you see a film crew and you're like, wait, is
that the tour? Is that like you know the coverage
and then you're like, oh, no, that that's full swing.
But like you said, I think that the humanization element
of it. You know, there's so many different And.

Speaker 3 (19:56):
Let's give a shout out to our buddy Chadmum. We're
gonna get him on. But he launched his own pop
cast if you guys he did. Yes, it's called Vanity
Index Podcast. Wow, yep, it's uh, you gotta check it
out Vanity Index Pod. It's it's him and who's it
well as Adams I believe is the other's the other

(20:16):
co host. Yeah, check it out Index Pod. I'm sure.
I'm sure we'll get into a lot of the full
swing stuff on there, but we'll get chat on soon.
I know they'll all be here for the truest because
they're doing their career classic.

Speaker 1 (20:27):
It's gonna be so good that same week. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (20:30):
Yeah, yeah, that's the thing right now with the Cognizant
in Palm Beach, Like it's just so cool to have
like an event like that. Everyone goes or you know,
they're having fun. They can drink, see the core, see
the players.

Speaker 2 (20:40):
Everything.

Speaker 4 (20:40):
Like I'm just excited for Philly to have that, to
see professional golf and unbelievable course, have access to be
on the grounds.

Speaker 1 (20:48):
Yeah, in the top seven players.

Speaker 2 (20:49):
Yeah, it's it's just really cool.

Speaker 1 (20:51):
But I've learned a lot in the first twenty minutes
of the show today, Moose has not played any golf.
He hasn't watched any of the full swing and he's
out out on the t g L. Yet I've played
rounds of golf. I watch everything. So what are you
doing with your time?

Speaker 2 (21:05):
He's like a month old.

Speaker 3 (21:07):
A couple of guys in the room here. Things are
a little different at iHeart these days right time is
time is a little bit of a thing right now
around here. There's there's some different requirements being also.

Speaker 2 (21:18):
Look at how he's dressed.

Speaker 4 (21:19):
He's like, I got nine more meetings today. There's like
I might hit the gym and that so go binge
the rest of the season.

Speaker 1 (21:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (21:30):
If you look at my calendar of my schedule with
I have a court appearance with my daughter for her
driving h Yeah, but she just got into a great college.
So there's some talk about the juxtaposition of yeas and lows.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
Is it down south now? Now?

Speaker 3 (21:44):
She well, Delaware is the one.

Speaker 1 (21:46):
Okay, that's a good school for that.

Speaker 2 (21:48):
But wait, what happened?

Speaker 3 (21:49):
Did she she she's done with the South thing. Yeah,
she thought you wanted to go to Florida. But then
she was like, nah, I.

Speaker 2 (21:55):
Totally miss her that. I thought you said a court
appearance for her driving did yeah?

Speaker 3 (21:59):
Yeah, yeah, okay, yeah she was tailgating a cop okay,
and look on her phone.

Speaker 2 (22:06):
Wait, you know it's non related to golf.

Speaker 4 (22:08):
But one time, one time at Temple, I was literally, oh,
this sounds ridiculous now that I'm saying it out loud.

Speaker 2 (22:15):
I probably should have should have thought about this.

Speaker 4 (22:17):
But when I got the internship with the Flyers, I
was on the front page and I think I was
like next to I don't even know whoever, like whether
it was Phillies or Eagles six ers or whatever, and
I was like, this is awesome. So I had the
newspaper and I got it and then I opened it up.
So I'm driving down the school gill with the newspaper
spread across like this just looking at the newspaper and

(22:38):
then I hear this horn like looking I'm.

Speaker 2 (22:40):
Like what oh, part of me. I looked to my
left and there's the cop giving me the note. He's
like put that down, what are you doing whatever? And
I'm like, yeah, I don't know what I was doing.

Speaker 4 (22:52):
I was like, I'm just reading the newspaper to the schooggle.

Speaker 3 (22:57):
Let you go.

Speaker 4 (22:57):
Oh yeah, he didn't pull me over, he just gave
me the hard My apology. Sorry, now I'm a flustered
because I said a bad word.

Speaker 1 (23:03):
Well, I was going down the a one way street
the wrong way and ran smack into a cost stop
at Shippensburg. Yeah, that was one of many incidents.

Speaker 2 (23:12):
The first I had my license.

Speaker 3 (23:13):
I was college aged people.

Speaker 1 (23:15):
Yeah, it happened. I was taking a short see they're
on college thing.

Speaker 4 (23:18):
Well, when I was sixteen, I got my license, went
down Montgomeryville Mall, came back.

Speaker 2 (23:22):
We had a football game.

Speaker 4 (23:23):
I was cheering, and so I'm driving down a one
way to go park to get to the game and
everyone's like this and I'm like, oh, they're waving.

Speaker 2 (23:29):
I mean, I'm like, hey, you know, like no, this
is a one way and.

Speaker 1 (23:32):
I was like Okay, Sostraca just missed an eight foot
Bertie putt.

Speaker 3 (23:36):
Yeah, we're we're we are recording in tournament right, yeah,
on on Thursday, and the guys are firing, by the.

Speaker 2 (23:44):
Way, they really are.

Speaker 4 (23:45):
Yeah, we got to get into that. But let's get
back to a little bit more tea. Keegan Bradley with
a pretty cool statement here, and I'm going.

Speaker 2 (23:52):
To be mindful.

Speaker 4 (23:54):
We're going to go to Beth Page to kick there.
Oh god, there was two customers, don't I'm sorry, I'm
just gonna stop. And then Shane Lowry's stam in fact
said oh yeah, we've all seen it, so.

Speaker 3 (24:09):
Oh he did. He responded, yeah, and he.

Speaker 4 (24:11):
Just I mean just you know, very nonchalant, like, oh yeah,
we've all seen it.

Speaker 2 (24:15):
And that was kind of it.

Speaker 4 (24:16):
So only two hundred and twelve days until the first
session of the Ryder Cup and.

Speaker 1 (24:22):
Curam is going to look like, right, I got Europe
plus one fifty already. Oh yeah, locked and loaded. They
are jumped on that.

Speaker 3 (24:29):
Look at their top guys right now. But you know,
let's see, right, Scotty, Let's see if these guys come
in the form of the next couple of months.

Speaker 2 (24:36):
Let's see if Daniel gets invited back to the.

Speaker 4 (24:38):
Studio like my one hundredth episode and only time, I
don't know what's happening.

Speaker 2 (24:47):
All right, here we go.

Speaker 4 (24:48):
So we talked about this a little bit kind of Harry,
but new footage of Scottie Scheffler's shocking arrest before the
twenty twenty four PGA Championship that you know, came out.

Speaker 2 (24:57):
We all saw like, hey, are you drinking?

Speaker 4 (24:59):
And he's like mouth watch He's like, generally don't drink before,
Like I t off for like eight a m.

Speaker 2 (25:04):
But that came.

Speaker 4 (25:05):
There's been more clips of that circulating around again.

Speaker 2 (25:09):
So yeah, that would be pretty cool to watch.

Speaker 1 (25:12):
Cops didn't know who he was.

Speaker 2 (25:14):
He was you're in the PGA, or he asked about Tiger.
He's like, oh, so was Tiger pretty good? He's like, no,
Tiger's terrible.

Speaker 3 (25:21):
How do you Who is that guy?

Speaker 2 (25:23):
How's he doing?

Speaker 1 (25:24):
That?

Speaker 3 (25:25):
Cop?

Speaker 2 (25:26):
Imagine being his friend and just being like you idiot.

Speaker 3 (25:30):
I don't think.

Speaker 1 (25:31):
Yeah, I don't know that they go back to Valhalla
anytime soon.

Speaker 2 (25:36):
Yeah, probably not. Most you lightly mentioned Gary Woodland.

Speaker 4 (25:40):
He received the PGA Tour Courage Award after his return
from brain surgery.

Speaker 2 (25:47):
But yeah, you lightly mentioned just writing letters to his
wife and his daughter, like I can't imagine.

Speaker 3 (25:52):
I was.

Speaker 2 (25:53):
I flew with my daughter for the first time this morning.

Speaker 4 (25:55):
I was like, oh my god, should I leave a
note here in case like something happens, Like you know,
there's new perspective, But I can't imagine going in for
brain surgery.

Speaker 3 (26:02):
Yeah, and he was pretty private about it too, so
he didn't tell anyone for for like four months. He
told JT while they were playing together. But yeah, I'm
really looking forward to watching that episode to see like
all the details there.

Speaker 2 (26:14):
Yeah, all right, I'm sold. I'm gonna watch. We gotta so.

Speaker 4 (26:20):
Gary did say though, receiving this as a testament to
the people around me, because there's no way one I'd
be back playing or no way I'd be sitting here
today if it wasn't for them. So he just said
that at the Cognizant this week, and he said it's
every it means everything for me to receive it, but again,
really belongs to the people around me. So pretty cool.
But Cognizant this week is in Palm Beach Gardens, So

(26:42):
I started the week kind of busy crazy there. I
went out with Facts on Tuesday, and we were just
getting some content to throw out there, and we did
something on the yardage books and then he's like, let's
do something on the bear trap. That's like all right,
So we started there and we started doing each hole
and we ran into Brian Harmon on sixteen fair Away
and it was pretty cool, Harry said.

Speaker 2 (27:03):
He was like, yeah, he's like that, that guy likes
to you know, hunt and fish. And then I played
the video here.

Speaker 4 (27:07):
I gotta get a posted on factis thing of him saying,
like his rookie year, he wasn't sure he'd even get
into the Honda. He was actually a second alternate that week.
So that's actually that's the worst. When you're an alternate.
You're waiting for somebody to drop. You're trying to maybe
Tanya harding it or whatever.

Speaker 2 (27:22):
You know, you're like, yeah, you're like you or your.

Speaker 4 (27:25):
Own course and you're like practicing and then it's like, okay,
I don't even get you know, don't even get to play.
So yeah, he wasn't even sure you get in and
then ends up shooting the course record so nine under
par sixty one, which Harry said.

Speaker 2 (27:40):
It's honest.

Speaker 3 (27:43):
Shot fifty nine fifty nine is I'm looking at it
right now.

Speaker 2 (27:47):
That's why.

Speaker 4 (27:51):
He was taking it or taking us through it, because
it was like his rookie year and he's like, yeah,
I shot like seventy six or something the first day,
and then the next day he came out he was
like birdie, birdie, eagle, ended up boging the twelth and
then he actually was flirting.

Speaker 2 (28:06):
With a fifty nine.

Speaker 4 (28:08):
He walking to the sixteenth green, he was like, okay,
I'm gonna be the fifth man to shoot fifty nine
and a PGA Tour event. He's like, I got this whatever,
and then he missed a five.

Speaker 2 (28:19):
Foot birdie chance to get there?

Speaker 1 (28:22):
Wow?

Speaker 4 (28:22):
So yeah, but I do see here now that uh
that Jake Napsing finished the first round. So yeah, twelve
under fifty nine, twelve birdies on the first round.

Speaker 1 (28:31):
How about that? What does that card look like there? Oh?

Speaker 2 (28:36):
How clean is that?

Speaker 1 (28:38):
It's soft? You've had a lot of rain the last
couple of days. It's really soft. Oh. But yeah, if
there's no wind, I mean, that's a beautiful It's not
a long golf course by their standards.

Speaker 2 (28:50):
So I mean you have when a day where you
have more birdies than pars. I mean that's a beautiful card.

Speaker 1 (28:56):
Yeah. Yeah. He started off birdying the first five holes.

Speaker 2 (29:00):
Which is wild.

Speaker 1 (29:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (29:02):
Wild.

Speaker 4 (29:02):
So that's what Harmon was telling us. He's like, he's
a seventy sixth the first day, comes back the next day, Bertie,
Bertie Eagle, Bertie like, just you get going with that?

Speaker 2 (29:11):
So what he do on the bear trap? There?

Speaker 1 (29:13):
He went Bertie Bertie par Parr Yeah.

Speaker 4 (29:17):
In fact, actually said he's like, if you go to
any guy at the beginning of the week and you're like, hey,
par par par On, you know the bear trap, will
you take it?

Speaker 2 (29:23):
And he's like, they're running to the eighteenth day.

Speaker 3 (29:25):
Yeah, I mean these guys are firing and just shod Clinton,
who's four under. Good story there.

Speaker 1 (29:29):
If he makes he's talent, Harry, we do. Patrick Shehan
from Bucks County, Penn State U grad is in the
field Monday and Monday cut. He shot eight under in
the Monday qualifier and currently I think he's one under
out there.

Speaker 2 (29:46):
Penn State alumni yep, Yeah, player of the Year.

Speaker 1 (29:50):
He's actually two under now two under through twelve holes,
So having a.

Speaker 3 (29:53):
Good day and he's committed to coming on the podcast.

Speaker 1 (29:56):
Yeah, I've been texted with him, and he apologized for
not being able to get back to me right away,
said his phone has been blowing up. I realized he
made the made it into the tournament. So but he
wants to come on. You said, he's two under right now,
he's two under through twelve holes.

Speaker 3 (30:11):
Let's go. Let's stick with the Cognizant, not the Honda Classic.

Speaker 2 (30:16):
I still want to call it the Honda Cognizant.

Speaker 1 (30:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (30:19):
Yeah, Burger had a rete lost lost ball on one
and come back. Now he's let's see where he is.
He's in second. He's eight under.

Speaker 2 (30:27):
Hey, that's how I one and done.

Speaker 1 (30:28):
So he lost the ball in the first hole.

Speaker 3 (30:30):
Yeah, there's a video of him riding back on a
golf cart with like a ta in his hand and supposedly.

Speaker 2 (30:34):
Get the guys.

Speaker 4 (30:35):
The guys say, that's the most infuriating thing because you
want whoever's like watching the ball to either you know,
say it safe, or like, you know, so you can
hit a provisional bit. I think it's like the worst
thing from what I've heard, is like getting down there
and being like, yeah, we don't.

Speaker 3 (30:48):
Know, and it's like a one to.

Speaker 4 (30:51):
Start your day and it's like, oh rules official, drive
him back, go all the way back there, red to
your ball like it's.

Speaker 3 (30:57):
Just under Yeah it didn't.

Speaker 2 (30:59):
What a.

Speaker 3 (31:00):
That's incredible. That didn't affect him. So to keep an
eye out for Burger. Maybe you're one and done will
be well.

Speaker 2 (31:04):
He's just a logo guy I know in the history.
Yeah he does, is there?

Speaker 3 (31:09):
Yeah? And plus he had a T two in Phoenix, right.

Speaker 1 (31:12):
Yeah, missed the cut one. I took him though the sony.

Speaker 2 (31:15):
I told him. Mar was like got it, Harry got
on this week.

Speaker 3 (31:19):
Yeah, this is a fun This is a fun course
of course presented by the Penn Club. On second, Harry,
this is a fun one for you.

Speaker 1 (31:24):
I'm sure it is. I played this golf course. I
didn't play very well. It's about ten years ago, but man,
it's awesome. Uh PGA Nationals Complex. This is the champion
course and it was designed by Tom Fasio back in
eighty one and Jack Nicholas has come in there three
different times to do renovation work in two, twenty fourteen
and twenty eighteen. Seventy one hundred and sixty seven yards

(31:48):
not a long golf course for these guys. On on
the PGA Tour for their standards par seventy one because
the whole the sixth hole is a converted to a
par four. It's a par five for just every buddy.
Every day Joe's playing it, but it's a par four.
So there's three par fives three, ten and eighteen, four
par threes, five, seven, fifteen, and seventeen. Average green size

(32:10):
is seven thousand square feet and they'll stimp it around twelve.
They're very soft right now because the area has gotten
a lot of rain the last couple of days. But
bermuda grass, greens and rye overseed everywhere else. Sixty bunkers,
water everywhere, and it's in play on fifteen of the
eighteen holes. The bear trap is holes fifteen, sixteen, and seventeen.

(32:33):
Par three one hundred and seventy nine yards all water
carry and all down the right side of the green.
Par four sixteenth hole is four hundred and thirty four yards,
sort of a soft dog leg right, very tight fairway
where the landing area is and water on the right
the entire length. And then the par three seventeenth hole
one hundred and seventy five yards all water carry and

(32:53):
it guards the front left and right sides of the green,
the finishing holes a par five five point fifty six
birdie hole, water all down the right. You keep it dry,
you should be good. It's had a lot of drama here.
You remember when Stepstraka won this a few years ago,
the rain came pouring down, Remember the downpours that like
you get down there. Oh yeah, Oh he was in

(33:14):
the middle of the fair way and it was just
raining buckets.

Speaker 2 (33:17):
I feel like there's always something here.

Speaker 4 (33:18):
I was just talking about this the other day because
I remember we had Austin Ekro finish on a Monday
where it was like yeah, and then the year prior
we had Aeric Cole and Chris Kirk in a playoff, right,
Kurt Wan, Yeah, yep, but.

Speaker 2 (33:32):
We like that eighteenth.

Speaker 4 (33:33):
It's just like they have if the pin they usually
have tucked way far right the right, but there's water
to the right, so you want to avoid that. But
if you're trying to be safe and go left, then
you're in that bunker and then the pin's right.

Speaker 2 (33:44):
So if you're trying to come.

Speaker 1 (33:45):
Out of that bunker, not an easy up and down, no.

Speaker 4 (33:47):
And then it's it's there's almost like a little it's
hard to explain. You've played it, but it's like raised
like an elevated green and around it like there's i mean,
like a foot maybe so if you missed that green
where it could possibly kind of roll down the side
and not being the drink.

Speaker 2 (34:01):
But it's it's not easy.

Speaker 4 (34:03):
It's a great finish reward, huge, Yeah, just center of
the green exactly.

Speaker 3 (34:08):
You know when when we see the line, you gotta
almost throw it out at this point because these guys
went off today in these conditions course record, that's pretty cool.
Jeff Ulrich had put out that nine of the past
fourteen winners had a thirteenth or better here in a
previous start. So there's definitely and a lot of the
guys know this course right like this is this is

(34:29):
right in the heart. But yeah, we talked about Burgers.
Who's having a great day Danny McCarthy, right, you could
see a guy like him almost But Jake Knapp just
went off today and I.

Speaker 2 (34:41):
Mean new course, I.

Speaker 3 (34:42):
See him see him getting back to the top. Russell
Henley is another guy that a lot of people were on.

Speaker 1 (34:47):
He's the highest ranked player in the field.

Speaker 3 (34:49):
Yeah, and Sunjay because he has a win here of
his twenty twenty but I forgot he won there liked
him too. Who else who were the other one and done?

Speaker 1 (34:56):
Shane Lowry was a heavy pick. I took steps Stra,
He's gotten a lot of love, Berger got a lot
of love and Henley and I think those were the
top four guys. Yeah. Yeah, sixteen of the top fifty
in the field. So it's not a bad field. A
lot of times this event gets overlooked because the next

(35:17):
two weeks are elevated events at bay Hill and then
at the Players. But yeah, it's a fun event.

Speaker 3 (35:22):
This is on the golf calendar for you, Harry.

Speaker 1 (35:26):
Well, this Saturday, the club opens, nineteen twelve, club opens.
They got at twelve thirty t time. Well, guys, yeah,
we're already locked in, so it's it starts.

Speaker 3 (35:37):
Yeah, I love it, Yep, love it. How about you
Cup Swings?

Speaker 2 (35:42):
Not yet?

Speaker 4 (35:43):
But I mean this past week, so I went to
the b dratty party. It was, they call it the Shindig.
So they actually have Love Street and Jupiter right near
like all of the you know, the restaurants on the
water there. They rent out this literal bungalow and they
converted into a shop. So anybody like at a pro
shop or anything that wants to come and check out

(36:03):
their new merch, their new lines. They can come there
and preview everything.

Speaker 1 (36:06):
Is it down near the square Grouper right there?

Speaker 2 (36:09):
Yep? Yeah, so yeah where love Shacket. Yep, he knows.
He's like, yeah, he's like, I got Grouper. Grouper's great
live music on the water.

Speaker 4 (36:17):
You got the lighthouse right there. So last year they
gave us this custom piece with a lighthouse on it.
This year they gave us a nice pullover, really cool
like T shirt hat. They have it catered by Lucky Shucks.
But it was great and not a bad room or
we're actually outside, but not a bad place to be.
Jay Murray Green, she's awesome. Got to talk to her.
She's trending, she's coming back, like getting out there. Part

(36:38):
of me practicing, ready to get back out there. Justin Leonard,
just coming off champions win. He was there with his son.

Speaker 2 (36:46):
Went where did his son just commit?

Speaker 1 (36:47):
His son's going to Villanova?

Speaker 4 (36:50):
Yeah, I probably should have talked to him about that
if my brain was functioning, but yeah, yeah, so he
saw him and then obviously it was there with facts
and then you know the whole they've been stepping up
their ambassadorship program.

Speaker 2 (37:04):
Their clothes are incredible. I mean, so the whole line
of B Dratty. It's a B dratty zero restriction, fairway
and green. They have the ladies. It's awesome. So we
gotta we got to talk to them.

Speaker 1 (37:16):
Yeahne Moose and I are available for ambassadorship by the way.

Speaker 4 (37:20):
Yeah, hey they have some ladies stuff to get up
via golf area and area. Maybe Nova you know, starts
wearing dratty. We bring it all together. But yeah, so
that was fun. And then last night I was supposed
to play on Tuesday, not realizing it was Cognizant week
and I switched it up. And then last night I
went over to Jupiter Hill's Jason Bayle.

Speaker 2 (37:39):
Obviously friend of the program.

Speaker 4 (37:41):
As you would say, uh PGA teacher and coach of
the year. So we had a member of reception for
him last night. So Peter Euline was there, Lucas Glover
was there. It was pretty cool, just you know, in
the room honoring him. Some more TV crews there was.

Speaker 2 (37:54):
It was a fun night. Yeah, but no no actual
en course for me just yet.

Speaker 3 (37:59):
Yeh yeah, neither. I don't have anything schedules.
