Speaker 2 (00:27):
Yeah, you know, just guess it's gonna go out there
and try to swing it and ding it.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
All right, welcome in to swing it and ding it.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
This is Moose along with Maze and Matthews and you
can feel that fag golf.

Speaker 4 (00:38):
In the air.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
Yeah, isn't it the best?

Speaker 1 (00:40):
The weather's been spectacular here over the last week and
a half, two weeks. I mean it's just so on
August like temperatures in the seventies and low eighties and
little humidity.

Speaker 5 (00:50):
It's been unbelievable it Harry, I'm finally getting to have
a taste of your weather.

Speaker 4 (00:55):
But I'm fine with it up here.

Speaker 5 (00:57):
Yeah, we're up here in Pennsylvania, and like you said,
this past week or so, it's been even Cops Creek,
we had a beautiful day these days here. I'm like,
what is this do we need to move back to Pennsylvania.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Well, hopefully it stays for the Anita invitation and we'll
talk more about that. You guys deserve a good weekend
of weather for sure.

Speaker 5 (01:17):
Yeah, like these hurricanes that are out there, please like
everyone help us keep it away.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
No doubt, no doubt.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
Well we are sponsored by buying my Balls. We're gonna, uh,
we're gonna see those guys.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
They'll be in for the outing.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
I'm actually gonna see Max next week, coming in for
the Eagles game. Play some golf at the Legacy Club.
Uh bet Parks. We'll we'll talk a little bit about
some Ryder Cup line. See if it's moved at all
where SPF. That's right, Fall Golf son is still out.
That's when it gets you, sneaks up on people. Riata
is one of the great sponsors of our golf outing.
We'll talk a little bit more about Sfinity. Sfinity Mobile
just came back in with with another sponsorship for our

(01:50):
golf outing to support the Magic A Mela Foundation.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
So love to see that.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
But Tommy gets over the hamp Parry get the w
Tour champion Tom fleetwould.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
Yeah, it finally happened and it really was no drama,
like Tommy took all the drama out of Sunday. You're thinking, like, wow,
you know he's gonna be able to hold onto the lead.
You know, he's got a pretty comfortable lead. And you know,
he looked really solid out there. It looked like, you know,
just watching body language, which we love to do when
we watch these guys play golf at a high level

(02:22):
with all that's on the line. He looked very comfortable
to me, like not like before. It was likely this
whole year of close calls sort of prepared him for
this moment. And you know, he goes out there and
wins by three shots over Henley and Cantley, who both
played their rear ends off. He gets the ten million

(02:42):
dollar prize, the FedEx Cup Trophy, Like after one hundred
and sixty three starts on the PGA Tour. He had
thirty top fives and six runner ups and eight worldwide
wins prior to this, and everybody had to keep reminding
people of that, like this guy's one all around the
world eight times. You know, it's not like he's he's

(03:03):
just some lucky guy with you know, with long, greasy
hair and a scruff like this guy can play, you know,
and he finally gets it. And to see him just
sort of almost it was almost rory, like when he finally,
you know, just let it out on the eighteenth green
like doing this, and it was it was pretty cool.

Speaker 5 (03:22):
Yeah, it's gotta be right, Like he just went through
all the stats having so many close calls.

Speaker 4 (03:27):
But there is.

Speaker 5 (03:28):
You know, the internet being the internet as they said,
but he only beat thirty nine.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
People, twenty nine.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
Of the best people in the world, dead right.

Speaker 4 (03:39):
Yeah, I'm like, there always has to be something.

Speaker 5 (03:42):
Of course, well we can't fully give it to it, right,
but he said he's won all over the world. Pretty
cool to see him finally get his w And I
think it all started after Harry Too selfie.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
Well that's right, that did happen in the same calendar year.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
That's the true. So no doubt.

Speaker 4 (03:57):
About you take a selfie with Harry or you come
on our show.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Yeah exactly.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
But it is like all of his press conferences since
are interesting, like he you know, he has fun with it.
He's like, I wanted to give myself a big enough
lead where I couldn't mess it up, right, Like it
looked like walking up eighteen, that he knew that tournament
was over even like he just was not taking anything
for granted, right, And that's that's the scar tissue you
build up of being in those close calls where you
know it's not over.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
Until that ball goes in the hole. We've all seen.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
Some wild things happen on the golf course, and he
was not taking anything for granted.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
But you talked about some.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
Of the Doug go ahead well speaking a wild Scottie
Scheffler rinsed it on the fifteenth hole, that par three. Like,
I was shocked when that ball found the water. I
really thought that, you know, in the final couple of
holes he was gonna make a final charge and he
puts it in the water and the whole tournament basically
was over.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
How about his opening t shot, Like I'm watching, I'm
at the Legacy Club, I'm hanging out and watching it
and he just goes under the fence.

Speaker 3 (04:54):
Yeah, and You're like, what the heck was that?

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Scotty?

Speaker 3 (04:56):
Like even his faces like did I just do that?

Speaker 1 (04:58):
Now? I still think he made bogey on a hole, right,
which is unbelievable because remember we were talking last week
about Rory putting it over that fence on the final
day and made triple right, go double or triple and
ended up coming back to win the tournament. That first
hole is a very hard hole for those guys haunting
t shot.

Speaker 3 (05:16):
It could slide and slide by on you.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
But we talked about some of the other guys, so
he had can't lay who you know, needed to kind
of be there to solidify himself.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
I know he drives people crazy.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
I don't know why what he does doesn't drive me crazy,
but it does with Harmon. Like I was talking to
the guys at my club, They're like, you're the only
guy I know that's ritin for Cantle right now because
I won him on this US Ryder Cup team.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
I know he drives people crazy. I want him to
drive them crazy, right, Like that's what he's all about.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
Yeah, and his team record is unbelievable Ryder Cup and
President's Cup combined. It's like, yeah, he played his way.
He made it an easy choice for Keegan Bradley. It's
like when he gets to the playoffs, so when the
big money is on the line, that guy performs like
he raises his level, right, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (06:01):
That's what you need in those situations.

Speaker 4 (06:02):
Right.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
He just is so level, like nothing seems to bother that.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
No, and he knows he bothers other people that that's
what you're alluding to, which is great.

Speaker 5 (06:10):
You're sat and Kei was talking about making those calls
and he's like, you know, talking about each person called
can't Lay and he goes, he just palls and he
goes no reaction And when they break to show all
the picks and Can't sitting there, no expression on his face.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
It looked like a hostage video watching that zoom call,
like Sam Burns really alive.

Speaker 5 (06:35):
No, I don't know they might involved in AI, but
it was what is going on?

Speaker 2 (06:40):
So many they were like, that's the last face you
see before widespread company layoffs. Like you know, there's so
many funny memes with the can't lay face. But like
you said, Harry Henley, who just is the most unassuming,
bestof one of the best golfers in the world, I
think you've ever seen Corey Connors who was so consvinced, quiet,
like he's always up there. He gets T four Cam

(07:01):
Young right with Scheffler. Cam Young had to play well
and did you talked about Burns with a T seven
with Keegan and then JT. And it's funny because got
her up was actually T ten with with Ben Griffin,
which was interesting and that and our guy Mori Kala
though finished nineteenth and is skidding into this Ryder Cup.

Speaker 3 (07:18):
Yah yeah yeah, oh yeah yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
But yeah, if it was only a one year qualification,
I don't know that those guys would make it because
all of their damage was done last year. Yeah, like
it's a two year, you know, evaluation period. Shawfley had
the majors more, Kala played much better last year than
he has this year. So it's really interesting. A couple
of guys coming in like not playing good golf. It's

(07:42):
gonna be interesting to see if they play at NAPA
to to try to get a tune up. I think
a lot of them probably will and they need to.

Speaker 3 (07:51):
No doubt about it.

Speaker 4 (07:53):
It's gonna be good to see that they'll have the
competition going. But it depends each person.

Speaker 5 (07:58):
Each year is like wait, I'm gonna stay home and
come up here to the northeast get repped on that grasp.
But some people are like, all right, let's fly out
there and get that tournament. You know, signing a card
is a little bit different.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
Yeah, Yeah, Well, we talked about Philly goff on this
show a lot. Harry's got the hat on, I had
the shirt on this morning. There's nothing more Philly golf
than Cops Creek. And the three of us along with Powers,
had an awesome experience this week being able to go
over there.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
You know, you hear about it, You're like, what's going on?
Like what are they doing the court? When are they
doing this?

Speaker 2 (08:30):
But to actually get there, to hop in net gator,
to get the tour by Aaron Cook, which was incredible,
and to see the.

Speaker 3 (08:37):
Grounds was just it was awesome.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
I mean it was a beautiful day and to really
kind of see what's coming together there was really really cool.

Speaker 5 (08:48):
Yeah yeah, feet on ground, like you said, getting in
the gator, having that tour, seeing Moose, coming up with
a couple potential sub logo ideas, just with Aaron giving
us all the history of the course was awesome. I
can't wait to see what they come up with for
that logo. Potential drive through wah wah. I was like,
they're building this course for me, aren't they. This is incredible.

Speaker 3 (09:08):
Halfway half half the essential drive through.

Speaker 4 (09:11):
W I was like, wait what say that one more?

Speaker 5 (09:13):
Time, and I was like, you got to use the
old school goose and she's like, oh, that's what we're
using in the renderings.

Speaker 4 (09:18):
I was like, this is incredible.

Speaker 5 (09:19):
The sixteen green where you can see the skyline and
the back se that drop green shooting in like hitting
your t shot towards the skyline. We even got a
little tour right through the driving range with the sprinklers
going off on us a little moment.

Speaker 4 (09:35):
It was awesome.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (09:37):
Yeah, that their mission too, with the kids and get
to talk to them. That was a great day all around.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
And also to be there on the day where Gil
Hansk and Jeiff Wagner were coming out to start shaping
the sixteenth hole. I mean we didn't see them. They
came a little bit after us in the afternoon, but
you know, that was a big day over there.

Speaker 3 (09:55):
Yeah, and they'll be there now for the next I
think she said sixteen months or something straight just working
on that.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
But yeah, that that's it's crazy that the you know,
the elevation in that place, right, it's it's it's unexpected,
but that is going to be one of the coolest
finishes in golf.

Speaker 3 (10:11):
Yeah, and uh yeah, so thank you to Aaron Cook
Colby for setting it up. We met Meredith, who was awesome,
does a lot of great work with the kids over
there over there. Yeah, that's right.

Speaker 2 (10:21):
Yeah, I don't want to get she's she had me nervous.
I'm like, I got to make sure I get the
kids' names right, Like, oh.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
Yeah, I'm scared, Joshua, Marquise and Amber.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
You got it.

Speaker 1 (10:31):
That's right.

Speaker 3 (10:31):
Shout out.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
Shout out to those to those young future leaders who
are taking advantage of of an incredible place. And you
know when Tiger Woods names name is on something and
you see what he's doing with the TGR Foundation. To
be actually be able to seek people that are benefit
benefiting from it in person was really really cool.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
It was really cool to watch.

Speaker 1 (10:53):
Yeah, and this is just the beginning. It's just sort
of a soft launch for them over there. I mean
they you know, they're just getting geared up for or
you know, the fall and the spring of next year
when it really goes full tilt.

Speaker 4 (11:04):
Yeah, that place in the community is incredible.

Speaker 5 (11:07):
She told us the one story, the one woman saying, now,
the on a golf course, you.

Speaker 4 (11:11):
Know where before it was kind of abandoned backyard. It
was awesome.

Speaker 5 (11:14):
One of the other cool things I wanted to highlight
was that Aaron said that they're working close with the tour,
and the tour's been out there. How many times they
showed us that big course across the way with those
eight holes and then moves to talk about the finishing hole.
They have the space, they're making sure they're doing everything
so it sets up for a PGA course.

Speaker 1 (11:30):
They're getting one. They doubt they got twenty seven holes.
They use a composite routing, in which Aaron was trying
to explain to it's kind of a little hard to
imagine because you know, it's so raw, like the gland
is basically just clear to the trees and the brush
and stuff. But we got to get back over there
a couple of months from now and you start to
really see it start to take shape. I think that
would be really cool.

Speaker 4 (11:50):
Yeah, a little package put together for out that's.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
Right for our for our adding one of the prizes
is going to be one of the first, be one
of the first to play the short course along with us.
We're gonna be out there, we'll play the chorus, we'll
record a podcast. So one of one of the prizes
in the Fox Sports the Gambler Swing It and Ding
It Open, benefiting the Magical Meala Foundation will be just
that You're gonna be able to be one of the.

Speaker 3 (12:12):
First to play the short course at Cops Creek, which
is awesome.

Speaker 1 (12:14):
That's incredible. Now is that video because Powers was out
there shooting video all day? I mean he was, you know,
he's like a cameraman in the gator. You know, he's
trying not to fall out of the gator. I almost
fell out once or twice, and he's filming everything. Is
that video going to be available at some point and
to put up on YouTube or something? So yeah, see this?

Speaker 3 (12:33):
Yeah, yeah, Mike's working on the video.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
There'll be some clips with us talking about this now obviously,
well there'll be some footage that that's gonna be running
under this, and Sean Bernard puts those videos out for us.

Speaker 3 (12:43):
So yeah, yeah, absolutely.

Speaker 5 (12:45):
So to be roll, I got to share something too.
I try to upload to his drive a few times.
I'm I have to just do a shared an album
or a dropbox link.

Speaker 3 (12:51):
Yeah. Yeah, very cool stuff.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
So thank you again to Aarin for for getting this
out there and really being able to visualize it and
see what's coming together there. They're getting closer and closer,
and it's it's awesome to see. It's going to be
spectacular when it's done.

Speaker 1 (13:04):
So yeah, how about the driving range? It was it
sixty eight bays with double decker, double decker, Yeah yeah, great.

Speaker 3 (13:13):
Restaurant facility is going to be there like.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
Bar and there.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
Yeah yeah, yeah, really true, tremendous. Danielle, you're up in
northeastern Pennsylvania. You have a pretty big event next week.
Talk to us about how nipa's coming together. Is anything
still needed?

Speaker 5 (13:29):
Yeah, I mean, obviously, donations are always welcome. We still
have Gala tickets on sale. So last year we introduced
the Gala Friday night to kind of kick off the event.
So this year we're doing the same thing again, dueling
piano actions at the scrant And Cultural Center. So you
can still get tickets if you want to hang out
with us next Friday. Awesome event, open bar, food and drinks, catering,

(13:51):
but Casatino's really really cool event. And then obviously the
golf follows right after. We have a pretty good field
this year. Just to name a few, we have Jared
Wolf in the field, Nick Thompson, Teddy Trieba returning again,
Riley Smith, Patrick Shean's coming up this year, so we'll
be able to get a couple of those guys on

(14:12):
the podcast, hopefully some of our repeat guys from last year.
But this is year five of the event, so yeah,
anybody who's listening who hasn't heard about it before. It's
a pro format. We're benefiting the Children's Hospital as part
of our Play Yellow initiative, as well as five other
sub beneficiaries that we added this year that are just

(14:32):
kind of honing in on the local impact here. And yeah,
so any listeners want to check out some more information,
you can go to Anita Invitational dot com for tickets
for that Gala spectators, Welcome to the Country pubb of
scrant this weekend or next week in pardon me, any
info you can catch it there.

Speaker 3 (14:50):
Yeah, we'll be out there live next Friday.

Speaker 1 (14:52):
Yeah. I look forward to that. I always love to
getting up there and being able to play that gorgeous
golf courses that the field is full. Danielle, I assume.

Speaker 5 (14:59):
This is our record breaking year for us. We have
I think fifty four teams. I have to check in Withdrew,
but then we have a pretty full wait list as well,
which we had some good names coming after, but we had,
you know, we have to go by the rules and
have that wait list set because a lot of people
need to see where they'll be in terms of golf
events and if they get in, et cetera, et cetera.

Speaker 4 (15:21):
But we had to.

Speaker 5 (15:22):
We usually cap at fifty it's fifty four now and
it filled quicker than it ever did before.

Speaker 1 (15:27):
So well, it's like Moose with the swing and ding
it outing. He's had to make phone calls like Keegan
Bradley had to to Maverick and say, well, I'm sorry,
you know, and maybe next year are better play better?

Speaker 3 (15:39):
Yeah, play better playing earlier? Yes.

Speaker 4 (15:42):
Yes.

Speaker 5 (15:42):
A good thing to note too that I feel like
a lot of times goes, you know, kind of unrecognized,
is that the mission for NIITA is threefold. So not
only do we benefit those local organizations that I just highlighted,
we also give out a golf scholarship for somebody that
wants to play collegiate golf, so that's pretty competitive as well.
And then one of the Brandon's you know, favorite parts
and a strong mission that he really wanted was there's

(16:04):
a pro purse. So these guys, including Ben Griffin, who
now a rider cover he won our first year.

Speaker 4 (16:11):
He won that event and he you know took.

Speaker 5 (16:13):
Home somewhere from probably thirty to fifty thousand plus dollars,
which which helped him be able to finish the rest
of his you know, pursuing his dream for the rest
of the year. So that's really big and really important
for us to get some of these guys who are
still chasing and give them an opportunity to win some
cash and continue to pursue their dreams.

Speaker 2 (16:35):
No doubt.

Speaker 3 (16:36):
Awesome, great stuff, great love.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
Can't wait to get out there next Friday to play
the course and then have some guests on swing It
and ding It and do the show.

Speaker 3 (16:44):
Live from out there. Always look forward to that. Danielle
spell some tea for us, please, Yeah, let's.

Speaker 5 (16:51):
Get into Actually, I was on Twitter this morning just
kind of looking through some stuff, not even looking for team.
My team has already sent and Monday qu' I love
his handle, I love his stories, everything that he's always
you know, talking about the underdogs and people qualified. But
this one was not about that. This was a guy
on the Asian Tour and he's literally he has probably

(17:12):
a five foot putt and he's trying to put it out.
He looks up at the sky. There is lightning flashing
all all around like everywhere, and he goes, how long
is a delay?

Speaker 4 (17:20):
Asian tour delay?

Speaker 5 (17:21):
I mean this this sky you can see.

Speaker 3 (17:24):
Well, that's in Florida.

Speaker 5 (17:27):
You're called off the course, like yeah, house before that,
and I'm just like, oh my god.

Speaker 4 (17:32):
So that was just kind of funny.

Speaker 5 (17:34):
I saw that this morning and wanted to just quick
bring that, bring that story up, because we know.

Speaker 4 (17:39):
That wouldn't happen.

Speaker 5 (17:43):
I don't know about you guys, but if we can
turn back the clock, let's all go to college together
at the University of Alabama million dollar practice facility that
it's absolutely insane. And the drone flyover they didn't even
show the inside of the clubhouse.

Speaker 4 (17:58):
I guess it is.

Speaker 5 (17:59):
I mean this, this clubhouse is bigger than you know,
most clubhouses, probably than the one behind Harry, probably than
more than we ever see. But I mean the practice facility,
the driving range, the short game facility.

Speaker 4 (18:11):
Like, did you guys see this flyover?

Speaker 1 (18:13):
Oh I have not seen it, but I know it.

Speaker 4 (18:16):
Send you it.

Speaker 5 (18:17):
Yeah, they debuted at forty seven mili. Yeah, absolutely insane.
And that doesn't even go inside. I'm sure they have
you know, for bad weather, they probably have some indoor
bays and everything else is just insane.

Speaker 1 (18:29):
Yeah, the amount of money being devoted to athletics in general,
and these big schools, now that college football has just
gone into another realm, it's just it blows your mind.

Speaker 3 (18:40):
It's yeah, it's wild, it really is.

Speaker 5 (18:43):
Yeah, we talked about that a little bit. I mean
even just you know, the collegiate athletes when Drew was on.
But it's it's insane this day and age, with where
everything is going as a college athlete and just your
opportunity with what you're getting and where you want to
go in the facilities you have.

Speaker 4 (18:58):
Plus just I mean I think it was your speak.

Speaker 5 (19:00):
He's like, when we were in college, like you know,
we'd stretch, we'd rotate a little bit, we'd maybe work.

Speaker 4 (19:05):
Out or run a little bit.

Speaker 5 (19:06):
He goes, these guys are coming you know, into college
even sometimes with they've been training and working out like
a football player since they were like eleven.

Speaker 4 (19:15):
He's like, it's just a new breed of athletes. It's insane.

Speaker 3 (19:19):
Oh yeah, it truly is.

Speaker 4 (19:22):
Your kids sex. You're like, all right, let's start hitting
the hitting the weight room and getting ready.

Speaker 5 (19:26):
I need you to get fellowship wild. Let's talk a
little bit about swings. Did you guys see Cam Young
his new hip move. It's a little pre swing, little
like pivot. I guess that debuted at the Tour Championship.
Did you guys see that?

Speaker 1 (19:41):
I did not? What is he trying to make sure
he rotates that right exactly?

Speaker 4 (19:47):
It's not like a Matt Wolf like knee cank or
anything like.

Speaker 3 (19:50):
He's got that pause already he does.

Speaker 5 (19:52):
Yeah, yeah, So it seems like, you know, those little tiny,
you know, elements of his spring.

Speaker 4 (19:58):
He really needs to hyper focus on this problem just
him as a person. But they paused it. They slowed
down the swing. I think it might be on golf.

Speaker 5 (20:04):
Dietist or something, and they kind of hone in and
he just has a little a little like trigger move
that he does. So his swing's kind of been trending
all over the place.

Speaker 1 (20:14):
Well he's trending. I mean, he's got to win this year.
Seven top tens. He was tied for fourth in Canada,
tied for fourth at the US Open. He ends up
winning the Windom and then in the playoffs he was
what fifth, eleventh and T four. I mean he is
playing playoff and you know, I knew that he would
be a selection for the Ryder Cup. And playing this well,
getting a win, finally getting over the hump, and with

(20:35):
his experience at Bethpage Black, I think he's going to
pay serious dividends for them.

Speaker 4 (20:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (20:40):
You can see he's incorporating things like this into a swing,
working on it.

Speaker 4 (20:43):
He's paying attention.

Speaker 5 (20:44):
He wants to make sure he's doing the right things,
rotating through playing well like he's working the kids.

Speaker 1 (20:50):
Butting in a lot of his putting is better too,
starting to putt.

Speaker 4 (20:53):
Yeah, yeah, all right. We were talking about Tommy a
little bit earlier.

Speaker 5 (20:57):
So he won the FedEx Cup, John Rahm on the
side live, he won the season long individual championship.

Speaker 4 (21:05):
How do we think they stacked up on course earnings?
Who do we think earned more?

Speaker 3 (21:09):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (21:10):
John Rahm A little bit. Yeah, I'd probably say John Rohm,
even though I don't exactly know how much he made.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
But you think the same thing most Yeah, I think
I think it's close.

Speaker 4 (21:20):
Yeah, well, you're right, it is kind of close. But
I was the same thing.

Speaker 5 (21:22):
I'm like, Okay, this graphic exists to show that Live
has so much money.

Speaker 4 (21:26):
Just kidding.

Speaker 5 (21:27):
Rom took hime thirteen point eight million season ending earnings
with zero wins and Tommy eighteen point five million season
earnings with one wins. So just showed how they stacked
up against each other with the.

Speaker 2 (21:39):
Ten million dollars Person of the Tour Championship, right, like yep, Well.

Speaker 1 (21:43):
We talked about that last episode, Danielle, that you know
John Rom doesn't get a win on Live. He had
four runner up finishes and wins the overall individual titled.
Yet wack O'neeman had five wins out of the fourteen tournaments.
How is he not the player that gets that?

Speaker 4 (22:01):
I was blown away by that last week we were
talking about it.

Speaker 3 (22:04):
I think it.

Speaker 4 (22:07):
How does that that math is at mathing?

Speaker 1 (22:10):
Then? But then Rom's team, he and his team won
the team competition last week in Michigan. Uh, I forget
what the name of it. The team is Legion Legion thirteen. Yeah, yeah,
good job, moves, thank you.

Speaker 3 (22:26):
I think it's lyndros Leclaire and Renburg Legion.

Speaker 1 (22:31):
A little hockey there, I love it. Do you have
any gear of Legion thirteen.

Speaker 3 (22:35):
No, I lot, I did not Well, I can only
support the Cliqus.

Speaker 1 (22:41):
That's there you go.

Speaker 5 (22:43):
I gotta go with the Range Goes just because affiliation
with Jason. The Range Gooats is just a pretty cool name.

Speaker 3 (22:49):
I think.

Speaker 5 (22:51):
Well, I can keep going with some tea, but I
have a feeling we might talk a little bit about
Ryder Cup, so I'm gonna end the tea obviously. The
tea is all things trending in golf, and the tea
is spun stud buy where SPF. So looking for some
protection that actually works and feels great. We're SPF by
PJA Pro Justin Thomas, as you covered on and off
the course, dermatologist tested and sweat resistant. It's broad spectrum

(23:13):
SPF that won't mess up your swing or your skin
from the first tee to everyday life. Protect yourself like
the pros shop now where SPF dot com. That's where
SPF dot com and Stay Sunsafe all year long.

Speaker 3 (23:28):
Good stuff. So yes, we talked about the Fox Sports
the Gambler, Swing it and sing it open benefiting the
Magical Meal Foundation. We are sold out.

Speaker 2 (23:34):
We've been sold out, but we are officially sold out.
We're I wanted to keep it a little bit less
this year, and it's just not going to happen. It's
going to be max It's going to be a full
max out tournament, and yeah we're gonna be somebody's gonna
be driving a golf car from nineteen eighty six. Right,
It's just the way it's going to be. But the
Legacy Club will accommodate us like they always do. H
one of a new sponsor, not a new sponsor to

(23:56):
their sponsors in the past, but it's with Inxfinity. So
Infinity is out sponsor of the Fox Sports game Swinging
and thing it open. Exfinity keeps you connected to more

great value with Exfinity Mobile, connect to the most reliable

Speaker 2 (24:20):
So I think we'll have our guy ojs Kaslawski back
out there filming everybody swings nice courtesy of Exfinity and
sending those videos which people really seem to like. Yeah,
Tito's is back right, proud supporter of our ours.

Speaker 3 (24:33):
For the past couple of years setting up that bar.

Speaker 2 (24:35):
We'll do a preview show of all the sponsors and
activations coming up.

Speaker 3 (24:38):
But uh yeah, really excited about the way this is
shaping up.

Speaker 1 (24:41):
Let's put it this way. Move Tito's never left.

Speaker 3 (24:43):
They never did, they never left.

Speaker 2 (24:46):
Yeah, and our friends from Gearharts once again, you're going
to be shipping into a dryer to win, to win
a new set.

Speaker 3 (24:51):
So excited about that. They're excited about it. They're expanding
their presence with us this year or so. Yeah, a
lot of fun, a lot of fun.

Speaker 1 (24:58):
I have a new washer dryer from Gearhart so we
purchased this year.

Speaker 4 (25:02):
We talked about and they were like, yeah, great.

Speaker 1 (25:06):
I do the laundry. So it's it's a personal item. Ok.

Speaker 5 (25:09):
Yeah, send that clip to Brandon, just shoot him a.

Speaker 3 (25:13):
Text about doing the laundry.

Speaker 2 (25:17):
We may or may send some out in the Moose
households at this point washing fold.

Speaker 3 (25:23):
Yeah, it's gotten to that point. A lot of bodies in.

Speaker 4 (25:25):
The house might actually have to take that number.

Speaker 3 (25:28):
A lot of bodies in that house. It stacks up quick,
It stacks up quick. But yeah, it's it's all about
ryder Cup now. Keegan it was. You know, the more
you think about it, it really was a tough spot.

Speaker 2 (25:41):
Right if if if they didn't name him captain, he's
probably on the team plane this year.

Speaker 3 (25:45):
He definitely is on a team play year.

Speaker 2 (25:47):
But I mean he's the captain and he's embracing it
and he loves it. Right the automatics for Chef, JJ Spawn,
Xander Henley, Harris, English and Bryson.

Speaker 3 (25:59):
And then he goes I mean at.

Speaker 2 (26:01):
This point, the way the guys were playing, they played
themselves in right. There were no like, I can't believe
this guy's not in right. Keegan was that guy, and
it was if he was, if he put himself in,
then one of these guys would have been on the outs.
But he goes JT, Colin workaua Ben Griffin, which is
awesome to see Cam Young who had to be in
there the way he was playing in the home Cooking
can't lay and he puts and Burns, Burns plays his

(26:22):
way in Great Potter. You know, Scheffler wants him on
that team. I don't have a problem with any of this,
how about you, guys?

Speaker 1 (26:28):
No, I didn't either. It was all just the question
of whether Keegan was gonna select himself and who then
would get bumped as a result, you know, one of
the other guys outside the top twelve get bumped. And
it ended up just being Harmon your boy, Moose. He's
available now. You can bring him out to the Legacy
Club and hang out with Bryan Arms.

Speaker 3 (26:46):
I love to play around with him.

Speaker 1 (26:47):
I love him actually, but I know he annoys the
daylights out of you watching him.

Speaker 2 (26:52):
You know why, because here's why, because can't lay knows
he annoys people.

Speaker 3 (26:56):
Harmon doesn't.

Speaker 1 (26:57):
No, you're right, that's what bothers me, right. And then
of course Matt McNeely, you know, was a guy who
was pretty high up there in the in the rankings,
and he got that call. That was probably the most
devastating call to make. And it's funny I learned something
the way there. The thought process is here is these
guys look at this. If you're a rookie, you basically

(27:20):
have to be in the top six to get selected,
because that's an automatic. If you're not an automatic, you
have had it to better play in the President's Cup
at least once, to have some experience, because that's what
kind of turned out. I mean, Sam Burns has been
on a Ryder Cup, He's been on a President's Cup.
Cam Young has been on a President's Cup team or
two and has had experience. And those guys they get

(27:41):
the night. It's almost like a training ground. I think
they look at this President's Cup. I said, well, he
played in a team of van he was you know,
he won, won a match or whatever. You know, It's like, yeah,
we can sort of trust him a little bit.

Speaker 3 (27:54):
You know, how was he right?

Speaker 1 (27:55):
Right? Right? We know, Maverick's a great putter and you
finally got to win and he's played really well, but
he's got more to do. And I think you know
that was probably the tone of the call.

Speaker 4 (28:05):
Yeah, I really like this team.

Speaker 5 (28:07):
I have to be fully transparent that if I think
there was ever a situation where a captain should play.
I was all in on Kegs with the association with
Beth Page and it being like his backyard essentially, like
I think it would have been cool.

Speaker 1 (28:18):
Oh it would have been would have been cool for
us all the people that cover golf. They wanted Keegan
to pick himself. Trust me.

Speaker 4 (28:24):
Yeah, I was actually what I saw that he did,
and I did kind of pause for a second.

Speaker 5 (28:28):
I was like oh man, really, But then when I
looked at the rest of the team, I was like,
all right, I like this. I like his comment on
Ben Griffin when he was like, you know, I saw him,
he was trending, he goes. Then I played with him once.
I was like, man, where have you been the last
two years? And how impressed he was with his game
everything else. So I really liked Keegan's thought process. I
like that ultimately, you know, he did say, okay, like

(28:50):
I'm going to go full in on this captain position and.

Speaker 2 (28:54):
Really make sure being a leader already yeah right, yeah,
just by.

Speaker 3 (28:57):
Making that decision shows how serious he's taken this. And
he is a leader of the squad.

Speaker 5 (29:03):
Yeah, and he knows that course in and out, so
he can really, you know, you know, kind of fall
into that captaincy and be like, all right, play this
hole like this, et cetera, et cetera. He'll know whose
game fits what type of you know, hole and position
and match. I think I'm excited. I think it's gonna
be a really great Ryder Cup.

Speaker 1 (29:20):
Yeah. And with the Ben Griffin thing, obviously he's a
rookie and has never played in the President's Cup. But
Keegan told him about a month or so ago. They
had a conversation like, you need to keep playing at
this high level, in other words, to make it easy
for me to pick you because if not, if he
kind of fell off a little bit like matd McNeely
kind of did I know, MAV had one good play
I think, was it the BMW or the FED or

(29:42):
the one in Memphis, played really well and I thought
that might have been enough to kind of get him in.
It evidently wasn't, obviously, but it was like Ben Griffin
just kept in. He was like my top ten machine.

Speaker 5 (29:53):
Well you know, and I think Ben, yeah, he knew
what boxes to check to when we saw those little
PGA tour behind the scenes of Ben Griffin, he had led.
He was coming out of like the the trucks, like
the therapy trucks where you know, you can go and
get stretching and this and that, and he goes. I
figured out where all the top players were each week,
and they're always here, They're always doing this, they're always

(30:13):
doing that.

Speaker 4 (30:14):
He's like, so I'm doing the same thing.

Speaker 5 (30:15):
He's surrounding himself with these guys. He was making sure
he passed Keegan like as they were filming him. He's
like tough captain like he made sure he set himself
up in a position not only from his performance on
the course, but off the course, being surrounded by them, saying, look,
I'm putting in the work. You see me here working out,
You see me here getting you know, everything, prepping, making
sure my body is taken care of.

Speaker 4 (30:35):
He made it a really easy pick.

Speaker 1 (30:37):
That and plus overdosing on creatine.

Speaker 4 (30:40):
Yeah, yeah, sponsorship.

Speaker 1 (30:45):
You must love that movie had a creatine rock and.

Speaker 3 (30:50):
I think they are I think they're a local company too.

Speaker 1 (30:53):
Powers. We got howers on it.

Speaker 2 (30:55):
But Harry, you're captain Keegan Team USA. That first guy
I had to grab the ball and put his tea
in the ground. The opening T shot? Who is it
for you? Because I know who it is for me?

Speaker 1 (31:06):
The opening T shot, I mean outside of Scotty Scheffler,
I can't really think of anybody.

Speaker 3 (31:12):
It's Bryson for me.

Speaker 1 (31:13):
Oh it is.

Speaker 3 (31:14):
Put it in the ground and.

Speaker 2 (31:15):
Send it towards send it towards the green and get
that place going.

Speaker 1 (31:20):
Well, that first hole is a dog leg right. I
mean he would have to basically aim for the green
and go.

Speaker 4 (31:26):
Green.

Speaker 1 (31:27):
That would be unbelievable.

Speaker 2 (31:28):
That's what That's what I would tell him, tell him
to do and just go get that place.

Speaker 1 (31:34):
Yeah, if it's not I don't think that's a bear
of a hole. I think it's a man.

Speaker 2 (31:38):
I played it, and I actually like I went a
little bit right and you could have You can hit
it and you know your second shots.

Speaker 3 (31:45):
It is not super long.

Speaker 2 (31:46):
I forget the yardages, but you can go over those
trees and go right at that green.

Speaker 3 (31:49):
There's no there's no doubt he's.

Speaker 2 (31:50):
Not going to do that, but that place would go
absolutely insane.

Speaker 1 (31:54):
Yeah. Course, of course in a couple of weeks.

Speaker 5 (31:56):
If that was an option and he did that, let's
just start, you know, berating Kegan on.

Speaker 4 (32:02):
All social have Brice degree. Yeah, well so that'd be
so America.

Speaker 3 (32:10):
Yeah, it really would have.

Speaker 1 (32:12):
You seen the uniforms the Ralph Laurene. I thought Danielle
might have already done an evaluation here. I don't like them.

Speaker 3 (32:18):
I don't love the early like the practice round stuff.
When they get into the competition days, they're.

Speaker 4 (32:22):
Okay, a little better.

Speaker 5 (32:24):
Well, I thought to see them on great job with
it the last Rider Cup.

Speaker 3 (32:28):
Yeah, well, I mean, yeah, we'll see how it looks on.

Speaker 1 (32:34):
Yeah, the first hole is a par four, four hundred
and thirty yards. Yeah, that's what That's what ours is
at the nineteen twelve Club.

Speaker 3 (32:41):
So yeah, similar shape to hair.

Speaker 1 (32:43):
Yeah, it is kind of yeah, and it's.

Speaker 2 (32:44):
Downhill like it kind of is when you think about it.
It's it's there's trees on the right.

Speaker 1 (32:50):
There's not as much elevation or change in elevation as
there is at all. Like, yeah, big tool.

Speaker 3 (32:56):
But you come down off the tee, that's the only
thing that's a downhill. Shout out to tea and it
levels out.

Speaker 2 (33:00):
But yeah, I can't wait looking forward to it. Well,
we will be back next week. We're actually gonna do
a show during the week and then we're gonna be
live out at Anita Invitational, and then maybe the week
after that we'll do a full kind of preview of
the outing and you know, dive into all the different
contests and everything else.

Speaker 3 (33:18):
We're putting together for this. But really excited about it.

Speaker 1 (33:20):
Well, I got it. It wouldn't be an episode if
I don't take a soft shot at Rory McElroy after
the Tour Championship where he was kind of ho hum
in the middle of the pack and never really did
too much, didn't look too enthused. He didn't wait around
for his buddy Tommy Fleetwood to collect his first win.
In fact, he was gone in the jet with his

(33:42):
little buddy Harry up to New York to watch like
one of the opening rounds of the US Open tennis match. Yeah,
come on, man, you can jump into private jet anytime,
hang out for a couple hours, and congratulate your mate
on his big win, and then take off disgrace.

Speaker 3 (34:00):
I hate to do it to him.

Speaker 1 (34:02):
Come on, Danielle, I know you agree with me.

Speaker 5 (34:05):
Well, if I had plans, well you know why because
I had a similar situation where we're at the NEPA
and we're waiting and went to a playoff and I'd
opening I had tickets to opening night Eagles Cowboys. Yeah,
ready to go there, And I had to stay for
the playoffs and it kept going into a playoff and
I'm like.

Speaker 4 (34:22):
Are you kidding me? I'm missing this game?

Speaker 5 (34:24):
Like, and I ended up giving my tickets uh to
Michael Collins and he ended up sitting next to Meek Mill.
I gave him and Colt In my tickets and I'm like,
that's me I'm supposed to be.

Speaker 4 (34:38):
I was so upset.

Speaker 5 (34:39):
But now, I mean it worked out really well for
for Michael Collins and his relationship with the Eagles and
everything now.

Speaker 4 (34:44):
So you know, great outcome for him. But I was falky,
so I.

Speaker 5 (34:49):
Would have preferred to leave and go watch the game
instead of staying watch my friends.

Speaker 1 (34:53):
But you didn't see that's the point. You didn't.

Speaker 4 (34:56):
I didn't have a joy.

Speaker 1 (34:59):
Sure, true, true.

Speaker 3 (35:01):
One and done one and done winners, right, Harry. That's
wrapped up.

Speaker 1 (35:04):
Yeah, that wrapped up. At the Tour Championship, the top
six finishers were as follows. Art Vandalay on the pool
the Importer Exporter from The Seinfeld Show won the overall prize.
Twin Valley Cup came in second, Jonathan Coachman came in
third in the money. False Favorite, which is one of

(35:25):
our buddies from a long time ago, finished fourth, World
b Free fifth, and Steve Perdy came in six. Those
people collected a prize.

Speaker 3 (35:35):
All right, good love it, Harry. Enjoy your round at
blue Belt Day.

Speaker 1 (35:39):
At blue Belt today, we finished fifth in the Sadie
Hawkins event last mstra at the nineteen twelve Club. So
congrats to Bobby Taylor and Dan Beavis and my wife.
We were the team nice, like three shots out of
the lead. So that was fun. All right.

Speaker 4 (35:56):
Ryder Cup competition.

Speaker 1 (35:58):
I don't know. I don't think. I don't think.

Speaker 3 (36:00):
So we have we have we have member guests coming
up in two weeks.

Speaker 1 (36:04):
Oh you do. Is it a one day member guest
or a three day Oh? Wow?

Speaker 2 (36:09):
Yeah, this is the big one that they do their
big one. We do our big one in September.

Speaker 1 (36:12):
Okay, yeah, a lot of clubs do them in June.
It's always like in the same week or two. But
we got the nineteen twelve Cup coming up. It's a
net event. I finished t five in it last year.
Coming up in a couple of two weeks. I think
that's the next big one. And then I'm going off
to Connecticut to play some golf this week.

Speaker 3 (36:29):
Here you go, all right, good stuff, Danie'll see you
in person again next week and we'll talk to you guys.
Thank you for listening. See you next week.

Speaker 1 (36:38):
Yeah, but listen, swing it and dang it.
