Speaker 2 (00:24):
I just got to get out there and swing and
ding it.
Speaker 3 (00:27):
Yeah, you know, just guess it's gonna go out there
and try to swing it and ding it. That's right.
Speaker 4 (00:34):
Welcome in to swing it and ding it and iHeartMedia podcast.
This is moves along with May's and Matthews and we
have return of the Coach, Return of the Coach. He's back, baby,
the Coach, Jonathan Coachman back on Swing It and Ding It.
Welcome back, my friend.
Speaker 3 (00:50):
Well, I gotta be honest with you. There's two reasons
that I come back. A. I love working with her.
Be I had to ask Harry for a favor today
and so he paid up. So I'm just repaying the
favor you. I don't really owe you anything, all right.
Speaker 4 (01:07):
I'm the guy who sends them the hats and the
merch too.
Speaker 3 (01:11):
I love my swinging and ding and merch. I've wanted
on my before.
Speaker 4 (01:14):
I love it. I've seen I've seen it. It looks awesome.
So we'll get into a lot of stuff. We're gonna
talk about some of our great sponsors. We're gonna see
the line finally for the Ryder Cup with our friends
at Bette Park's. Talk a little bit about where SPF
when Danielle spies some spilled some tea, our friends from
buying my balls. We'll talk about that too, But it
is all about the Ryder Cup. It is finally here
(01:35):
and Coach I was thinking about it today. I can't
imagine any other event. I mean, yes, there's anticipation. Super
Bowl is there too, but you don't know you're in
the super Bowl until a couple weeks before, right, these
guys that are in the Ryder Cup, I can't imagine
what these guys are feeling right now. The level of
anticipation and the wanting this thing that just get here
has to be like no other sporting event we see.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
You know what this is? This is the sphincter of
JJ spaon Russell Henley, cam Young and who's the other.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
Who's the other?
Speaker 3 (02:07):
Newbie helped me out? There's four of them. Oh uh,
I gotta tell you, he's one of my favorite stories.
I called his last Corn Ferry Tour event. I was
on the call when he got his tour card and
it was like balling him, like, what's going on? Well,
the dude who put the bill and is now on
his left pocket. Can you imagine three four years ago, guys,
(02:28):
that he would now be on the Ryder Cup team.
Not only that, but one of the top players that
I'm going to be backing in a lot of bets
this week. But and I don't, I don't. I don't
want to make fun at all because this is not funny.
But when you know what Keck and Bradley did with
the team where he takes him out of the first
t they played the national anthem and I was there,
They're going I thought this was a private event. When
they showed the video, there had to be fifty people
(02:50):
out there, and I was like, Okay, it was special,
but not that special. But I'm telling you, you see the
faces of JJ and all them, I'll tell you they
understand the gravity this place. When you get to New York,
you get in the Northeast, you guys know all about it.
Philly is the same thing. There's the pressure and I'm
feeling in Sally.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
We love that.
Speaker 5 (03:10):
I mean a New York crowd, it's gonna be rough,
it's gonna be It's definitely going to be one of.
Speaker 6 (03:15):
The toughest crowds on US.
Speaker 5 (03:16):
So I can't really think of another location that I
would anticipate a more rowdy, like you know, crazy crowd.
Speaker 4 (03:22):
It is best page too, right, like if this were
at Ringfoot, or if this was at Shinnacock, right, we
had that air of a private course. It's at.
Speaker 3 (03:33):
You know, guys, people remember people our age, remember two
thousand and two, but that was twenty years ago. They
had God, I can't believe it that they had the
US Open here and remember how many players complained, Oh
they yelled at me, they made fun of me. Well,
get used to it this week. Boys.
Speaker 5 (03:50):
Seriously, you know it goes like when you're playing golf
with somebodies and you don't want to be quiet and
you do this, and it's like, come on, you should
be These guys should be used to this. Talked about
a coach on the show. I don't know if you
saw this. It was circulating through social A little while ago.
They did a comparison of MLB to golf, and they're
like MLB you have people screaming like a mom swing
about a ninety mile an hour ball coming at you,
(04:11):
trying to swing. Everyone can be going crazy. In golf,
you're trying to hit a ball that's sitting still.
Speaker 3 (04:16):
And you can't say anything. Makes so little sense when
do you think about it, It.
Speaker 6 (04:21):
Doesn't make much sense. It's pretty funny though.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
It is pretty interesting though, because like Luke Donald has gone,
he's a terrific captain, Like he's really like tailor made
for this role, even though like it wasn't supposed to
be him two years ago, supposed to be Henrik Stenson.
But he's like just like worked into this role and
it's like it's been tailor made from He's gotten stand
(04:46):
up comedians like over in Dubai yelling at these guys
on the tees, got virtual reality goggles like simulating crowd
noise and heckling, like he's doing his best to get
them like prepared for what this is going to be.
Who do you think is the guy on that European
team that is really the lightning rod that this crowd
(05:07):
ends up really targeting.
Speaker 4 (05:09):
Great question, Well, I.
Speaker 3 (05:10):
Think it's it's pretty simple for me. They're going to
go after the guys that went to Live. That's John
Rahm and Terrell Hatton. Terrell Hatton always shows his emotions
on his sleeve. So if he hits a bad shot,
or somebody talks in his backswing, or his girlfriend walks
out of the porta potty again, I mean, that's gonna
stir him up. That's really gonna stir him up. Uh
(05:33):
So to me, it's fairly simple. Do you think Henrickson
his feelings a little bit? By the way, Harry, Uh,
you got Live guys participating, but couldn't he couldn't be
the captain.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
Yeah, that's very strange, right.
Speaker 3 (05:44):
Everything has kind of changed as they've got along.
Speaker 4 (05:47):
Yeah, so so coach, you know the media members, right,
best part of this and earlier this week, our guy
Brandle just could not help himself. Oh no, and he
lets he lets his hate for for Live just come
through and he targets it right on the most likable
guy in golf now right now, right sambo, and he's
talking about whats YouTube numbers? Unlikable player? What is he doing?
(06:13):
And if you're first off, we've had returner on the show.
How do those guys? What are you talking about? But
if you're that US team, how do you even want
to interact with him if you're out there? And how
do and you think that will turn into bolton board material.
Speaker 3 (06:25):
Here's a little secret. They don't interact with him when
he's out of the game. And she'll tell you this.
Ask Brandon, how many times ran Dole Chambly has been
down on the rage when they're hitting balls? And I
guarantee it's this many times when you are a lightning
rod and you're paid to be that way. Because I
did a couple of appearances, I can't tell the story here,
(06:46):
but he almost got me in the line of fire
with the Saudi's a couple of years ago because of
stuff he said at an appearance. And I'm like, if
you're gonna say that, make sure I'm not in the
shot with you. You don't mind. But to me, he
doesn't go down there because a lot of guys don't
like the If you're gonna say he's something about a player,
then you don't. You don't. You're not going to face
the firing squad, so to speak. So it doesn't matter
because he sits in the booth. The booth is always
(07:07):
far away from any Yeah, yeah, he's nowhere close to
the players. Guys. I don't know if people realize that,
but he's just not and he doesn't go down there
and talk to anybody.
Speaker 4 (07:16):
What I love too is there's been questions, Right, Scotty's
the best player in the world, but is he the captain?
Is he the leader? Well, the next day, Boom, first
thing out of his mouth in the press conference is
backing Bryson talking about what a team guy he is.
And to me, that showed me something about Scotty where
he took that in and said, yo, I wear the
sea on this team and you're not going to talk
about my guys. That showed me a lot about that
that guy. What he's ready for this week.
Speaker 3 (07:38):
Well, I think also, guys, that he understands that he
had the most embarrassing moment, right Harry a couple of
years ago when he was already number one, He was
already with a bullet and then all of a sudden
he lays an egg at the and I think probably
Kegan's pulled him aside. I'll be honest, it probably had
one on ones with all these guys and said, listen, Scotty,
unless you get tired, you're going five. You're going five
this week. I'm not throwing my rookies out there three
(08:00):
times this week. It's going to be you. I'm going
to live and die with you. You just want to
NAPA at the event all of your teammates went to
and you still clock them. So to me, I think
King has set him up to get ready to be
the leader. He's going to be out there early and often.
Speaker 5 (08:16):
And I love Actually facts set me over kind of
the transcript of the entire interviews, the press conference of everybody,
and just I mean, I don't know how long I
spent just paging through looking at all of Scotty's you know, responses, interactions.
They ask him a bunch of silly questions, obviously, but
one that I liked is like, how does this feel?
You know, the country in your back, blah blah, all
that stuff.
Speaker 6 (08:36):
They're like, but what are you doing? Differently?
Speaker 5 (08:37):
He's like, they're like, how does the expectations weigh? And
he's like, I'm not doing anything. He's like, I'm preparing.
I'm preparing like another tournament. So I'm hoping and wondering
if that if you think that type of you know,
approach to it as playing off from.
Speaker 6 (08:49):
The other guys.
Speaker 3 (08:51):
I hope so, I hope behind the scenes that's not
the case, because the one criticism I've had of Scotty
a lot is the fire. And it's hard to criticize
the guy that goes out and wins like seven many
percent of the time. But I need to see it
this week. I need to see yeah, and he and
he's done it at us in the past. He's done it. Yeah,
So I don't but I don't like that answer. I
(09:11):
don't like the answer. I also didn't like it when
he said, you know, you know, three minutes after I win,
It's just like, what did what did I do?
Speaker 6 (09:16):
Another one?
Speaker 3 (09:18):
Another one? Yeah, we all would love another one for
four mil. But yeah, I get it.
Speaker 6 (09:23):
That's who were piggybacking off that same thing. They asked JT.
They like, does Scotti have an aura again?
Speaker 5 (09:27):
Some of these questions like writing these But JT's like,
you know what, I don't.
Speaker 6 (09:32):
He's like, I don't know. I don't think so.
Speaker 5 (09:33):
But even if he did, I would never tell him
because he's like he's a confident cocky guy, and I
would never want to be.
Speaker 6 (09:38):
Like, you have an aura about you, you know what
I mean?
Speaker 3 (09:40):
Like, so it isn't a kind of funny JT calling
somebody else arrogant and cocky.
Speaker 4 (09:47):
They introduced Scotty as from New Jersey today, by the way,
that I love that. I thought that was funny until
he was seven.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
That it counts, I guess, I guess. You know.
Speaker 3 (09:55):
When I was in we were not allowed to say
New Jersey. We had to say if I was doing
Monday Night or SmackDown or something, I had to say, what's.
Speaker 4 (10:03):
That New York?
Speaker 3 (10:04):
He had to say, Well, we had to say, yeah,
in the shadows of New York City. That's how we
called New Jersey. Yeah, we were Yeah, there was no
Jersey because because Vince McMahon used to think it was small,
it sounded small. New York sounds big. You know, it's
all perception, Its.
Speaker 1 (10:21):
All perception, funny, all right, all right? Coach, No Patrick Reid,
no Jordan's speeth. Uh No, Kegan Bradley as a player
who on this roster sort of becomes Captain America.
Speaker 3 (10:32):
If anybody, It's so simple, guys, to me, it is
so simple, and I don't know. I don't care Brandle,
anybody else, Bryce and d Chambeau. I mean, he showed
up a NAPA and he couldn't even play. And everybody's
raving about the stuff he is doing and he wasn't
even playing. This is a guy that I don't care
if it's his PR team or who around him. The
last two years has made him say, listen, you've got
(10:54):
an opportunity at two hundred mili in the bank to
change everything about you, and he he's done it. I
mean those YouTube videos, I'm all in. I next day
to tune in. This is the guy I think everybody
will want to play with. This is the guy that
I think and I don't know. I didn't look it
up to see if you can bet on who hits
the first t shot.
Speaker 4 (11:15):
About it for a week shot, I would send him.
I would send him and JT together out in that
first see.
Speaker 5 (11:22):
The videos too, And I posted for Brad too, like
off that tea.
Speaker 6 (11:26):
I think, let me see. I wrote down a couple
of things with it.
Speaker 5 (11:28):
Tell me it is on a straight line at the
green on number one bet page black.
Speaker 6 (11:34):
It's three seventy to reach the front of the green.
Speaker 5 (11:36):
Flays downhill a little bit, but still Bryson drove the
green on it.
Speaker 6 (11:41):
So one out of six attempts, and.
Speaker 4 (11:43):
He's gonna get those. You get those trees.
Speaker 5 (11:47):
Right between if you go right but there's like three
trees and if you can go right over that.
Speaker 4 (11:52):
I rattled off to every one of those trees last
year when I played it. I hit every branch on
every tree. As long is it as long as they
is a say it is? Yeah what I said too,
Like they talked about it today. The bunkers are just now.
They're gonna miss a lot of the Fairway bunkers. But
it's not the rough, it's not the greens, it's the bunkers.
(12:13):
At that point, they are everywhere.
Speaker 1 (12:16):
Well, coach, you're a wrestling guy, is this the greatest
like reverse heel turn you've ever seen in sports? What
Bryson Deshamba has done over the last what eighteen to
twenty four months?
Speaker 3 (12:28):
So when you're a great heel in wrestling, Harry, and
you start to get a little bit of popularity, we're
seeing them with a couple of guys right now. In fact,
what you know is if you can become a great heel,
that if you do it correctly, you'll become a bigger babyface,
which is a good guy in wrestling. And this is
exactly it's not a double heel turn. It's the classic
(12:50):
rock from nineteen ninety seven when he was part of
the faction and everybody hated him, but then all of
a sudden they started saying his sayings if you smell,
it doesn't matter, all that kind of stuff. Well, right now,
everything that Bryson does turns to gold. He does everything
that normal people do like us, like hitting a golf
ball above into a cup vehicle though he incorporates Yeah,
(13:17):
and by the way, I'm not paying a dime for
that car. Underdog fantasy is Yeah. So this this is awesome.
And I think the crowd is crowds are very puppety.
I called him where they like to follow the trends.
And I think this crowd will understand how popular Bryson
(13:38):
is and they're gonna be behind him every step of
the way. To me, it would be the first tactical
mistake if he has not put out in that first
group on Friday morning.
Speaker 5 (13:47):
Interesting that move for like five weeks.
Speaker 4 (13:51):
Also, coach like he didn't have to go to Siberia.
He went to Napa, right, but it's a nice gesture,
but you know they got it. But he could play.
Speaker 3 (13:59):
I'm going to nap in two weeks. I'm hosting event
for a site that saber Haagen And at first I
did it for free. Then I drove there the first
time and I was like, damn, it's hard to get here.
I do it for gas money. But my point is
it's hard.
Speaker 4 (14:13):
I got you, it's hard.
Speaker 2 (14:14):
I hear it.
Speaker 4 (14:15):
I hear all right, give me a guy on the
US team that you're you're riding, and a guy you're fading,
and then give you a guy on the European squad
that you're riding and a guy you're fading.
Speaker 3 (14:25):
I know you're gonna ask me that. So I look
at all these notes.
Speaker 2 (14:30):
Today.
Speaker 3 (14:31):
Go guys. I just I don't even know if I'm
fading him because I don't think he's gonna play while
I'm fading, because I just don't like watching him play.
And that's Patrick Cantlay, and I know he's gonna be
Xander and I'm not gonna get to you know, JT.
I love I love me some me. I want to
hear that. I want to hear that, I don't want
to see God. Either don't wear a hat or get
one without the wault on the side of it.
Speaker 4 (14:50):
They just said, by the way, real quick, that he
and Xander are donating their entire five hundred thousand charity
and we'll be wearing a hat because he got it
fitted in time. He put that out today. I thought
that was hilariou Yeah.
Speaker 3 (15:01):
That is so nice of a multi gazillionaire to say,
I'll give you five hundred thousand. Yeah, give it back.
Speaker 4 (15:09):
Well, Luke's brought it up in his speech to ay
Luke's making it a big deal. He brought it up
in his speech that we don't play for the money.
He's like that, He's they're using that as oh fire.
So they came right out and said we're donating our money.
I thought it was a good countermove by the boys.
Speaker 3 (15:21):
Now that's a reverse babyface move right there, Harry. That
is being the baby face. And then you're gonna, I
guarantee some of the crowd if we start playing badly,
they're gonna start yelling that at fans or yelling that
at players, and they're gonna for Europe. Because I don't know,
I don't think you could ever dream about taking the dime.
I can't even believe that we're giving them money.
Speaker 2 (15:40):
Some of those guys would pay to play in it,
Oh my god.
Speaker 3 (15:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (15:44):
And the guys they have to realize that. Go ahead, coach, Well,
if you make the.
Speaker 3 (15:48):
Team, you have to have had what a good two years?
And I went and looked, and like the average player
on this team averaged like four to five million dollars
the last two years just to have enough points to play,
So why do you need stop?
Speaker 4 (16:02):
The only thing that does worry me, and just on
this point is the New York fans, just like the
Philly fans, who we are and we know they're on
your side, but if you start going bad, they will
tell you. And who I worry about some of our
guys can they handle that because it's gonna be like
something they've never experienced before. And if they start playing
like crap, they're gonna hear it and they need to
(16:23):
be able to use that as fire or a Henley
or or a guy like that.
Speaker 7 (16:28):
Like, yeah, I was just gonna say that. I can't
even believe more cow is on the team. I know
he's playing like complete trash. You know, he had a
couple of high finishes API and stuff. But this guy,
he's changing putters, wedges, swing.
Speaker 2 (16:42):
He might change from Friday to Saturday in this event coach.
Speaker 3 (16:47):
But he's getting like high level caddies. These are like
big names that are going out. There's like it's like
flipping a coin with the big name major caddy it
got this week it didn't work out? Are bad? Are bad?
Speaker 1 (16:58):
All right?
Speaker 2 (16:59):
Sorry?
Speaker 4 (16:59):
Let me let you answer that question.
Speaker 3 (17:00):
Yeah, so Patrick Can'tley Colin Morekwa. Those are two guys
that I'm fading big time. I think under the radar
Harris English and I think, uh, from what we understand,
Russell Henley is gonna be playing a lot with Scotti Sheffler.
Russell Henley is a bulldog. And you know he won
the API this year, which means what right, straight down
the fairway, straight down the fairway, tough golf course, straight
(17:21):
down the fairway. On the European side. To me, Roy's
gonna be out there five times unless he gets tired.
I think that goes without saying. And oh, by the way,
I know we want to give Luke Luke Donald credit.
He has the exact same team they had two years
ago with a different twin brother and coach this team.
Let's be honest, let's me.
Speaker 1 (17:42):
And if Rastmus plays like crap on Friday, you could
sub in Nicola and nobody know the difference.
Speaker 6 (17:47):
Yeah, seriously, did you see the difference in like the
two years Like the toda.
Speaker 3 (17:51):
They put like, can you imagine somebody ever did?
Speaker 4 (17:55):
That's a wrestling move right there?
Speaker 3 (17:58):
Wrestling move.
Speaker 6 (18:00):
Oh, it's too good.
Speaker 2 (18:02):
I think coach is frozen here the second here he
froze up. We'll get him back up. I haven't hit
all day.
Speaker 3 (18:09):
We got bad weather out here.
Speaker 2 (18:10):
I pologize.
Speaker 6 (18:13):
I'll give you a breather from ryder Cup for a second.
Let me talk about you for a moment. Oh, how's
your golf game? Where are you playing? Yeah, like, tell
us a little bit.
Speaker 3 (18:22):
Okay, so a lot has changed since last year. Okay,
my son is now a plus point four. Wow, he
just turned fifteen. So my game I'm in ten nine. Okay,
But my son is amazing. He hasn't shot over. I
had a bad tournament last week. He shot like eighty
two seventy one. But he's but he just became a sophomore.
(18:44):
He made the varsity team. So my life is about
my son, about club. He plays five or six days
a week. We're getting ready to go to the range
right after this. But golf is are everything, and I
cannot believe I never dreamed about having a son who
would be so good that I know I'll never beat
him again. But watching him play is kind of like
watching him Mini Tour pro. His short game is dynamic hitting,
(19:07):
you know, hits to six, seven, It's awesome. He he's
such a natural. So been loving golf lately. Called a
bunch of tour events this year, I think seven or eight,
and we're on on pace to hopefully there's been a
lot of changes over the tour though as we know,
there's been changes, so I don't know what next year
is gonna look like. But we've had a great year
of golf and I absolutely love playing with my son.
Speaker 6 (19:29):
And where do you guys play your golf.
Speaker 3 (19:30):
At Aliso Viejo Country Club out here. It's kind of
funny too that we have this young and hopefully they
see this because a couple of years ago, and remembery
Max Gresserman played in the Golfer Cops and he had
just got his tour card. Yeah, his wife having to
be like from a town a mile over. So he
was going to spend Christmas and then go play in
the Sony Open, and he goes, hey, can you help
(19:52):
me out? I've never been out there. So I called
my course and I said, hey, I got a tour player,
and they're like, coach, if I let him come and play,
I gotta let every I go. Really, what the last
time somebody came and asked you to let a tour
player play at this club. I'll wait. Oh, it's funny
because the next year, after Max Finish's top fifty in
(20:13):
the FedEx Cup, Hey, coach coming out for Christmas this year? Again,
I said, he is, but he ain't coming here to
play right now, right now.
Speaker 6 (20:23):
You didn't like me when I was down, Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 3 (20:26):
I was like, you didn't know his name last year.
You know his name now. But it's a Jack Nicholas design,
and I feel like when Jack builds courses, there's every
now and then he's in a bad mood. There's like
a bad Tuesday, and he has to be in a
certain hole. We have a par three that if you
end up in the bunker on the left hand, you
cannot keep it on the green. Unless you're like a
tour pro, you cannot and it drives me insane, insane,
(20:49):
But that's jack for you.
Speaker 4 (20:50):
So yeah, yeah, Well, Coach, tell everybody what you're up to,
where they can find you, what you're doing.
Speaker 3 (20:57):
How we're business. We're busy, We're busy. We have we
have a lot of projects going on. We have a
daily sports that's on the Stadium Network, Amazon Prime Direct TV.
That's Coaching Company. You see it behind me every day
ten am to eleven am. We have two wrestling shows
a week. I also have a brand new series x
M daily wrestling show from two to four Eastern Time
(21:20):
on an incredibly popular channel. And then of course I
still have the PFL Professional Fighters League PGA Tour. So
we have five or six projects we have going all
at the same time. I've never been busier, never been happier,
never been more energized. I love doing this and we
still throw in some of the charites as well, so uh,
you can find us everywhere. Easiest thing to do. Follow
(21:41):
me on social media at the Coach Rules and we
post for every single show that we do, including the
one that me and Harry did.
Speaker 2 (21:47):
Today which.
Speaker 5 (21:50):
Coach maybe we need to have like an exhibition wrestling
match at golfer cops.
Speaker 6 (21:54):
Maybe that's what's missing.
Speaker 3 (21:55):
You do not tease me on that idea. There's a
few people I'd like to see in a arm bar,
if you.
Speaker 2 (22:00):
Know what I mean.
Speaker 6 (22:02):
Let's set it up.
Speaker 2 (22:06):
The coach, Baby, We appreciate it.
Speaker 4 (22:07):
Thanks for coming on.
Speaker 2 (22:09):
Thanks so much, buddy.
Speaker 4 (22:10):
I'm excited to see this. Ryder cup Man, really excited
to see this. And we'll talk again soon. Appreciate you
guys are the best.
Speaker 2 (22:16):
You got to hear about your son's success. Man, that's awesome.
Speaker 4 (22:18):
That's awesome.
Speaker 2 (22:20):
Thank you. We'll send some.
Speaker 4 (22:21):
We'll send some swing it and dig it merch out
to him too.
Speaker 3 (22:23):
Oh, he'll wear it on Instagram. He's always so popular
there too.
Speaker 4 (22:26):
So let's go all right, let's take a quick break
and we will be right back. All right, thanks to
uh the great coach for being on. We are back,
and I'll tell you what. At Rita's the Fall Concretes
are back. Fan favorite pumpkin Pie returns alongside with a
new apple butter flavor. Try them today, great sponsors of
(22:47):
our golf outing. Talk a little bit more about that
in a few minutes. But Danielle, let's spill some tea.
Speaker 6 (22:53):
Let's spill some tea.
Speaker 5 (22:55):
Moose, you lightly mentioned it, but I feel like we
just got to talk about it again. I feel like
I didn't hear enough of Harry's and because I know
that he's such a Brandal fan quote, I have no
doubt that bots are generating a lot of those views.
There may be some interest as well, but that's what
he wants to talk about, not the team, not the
Ryder Cup.
Speaker 6 (23:11):
He wants you know, this is Brandle on Bryson. What
do we think about this?
Speaker 2 (23:17):
Well, I saw this, I saw this when it happened.
I think the first go around. Of course, they've been
repeating it for the last day and a half. But
and he's right, I mean they're they're talking to Bryson.
He didn't bring up anything about the team or about
the Ryder Cup. It was all about him and his
YouTube page. He's correct on that, But that's who Bryson is.
Speaker 1 (23:36):
I don't think I think Bryson compartmentalizes everything in his life.
And when it comes down to playing for this team,
and you know, teeing it up at seven to ten
on Friday morning, he's all about the team.
Speaker 2 (23:49):
I don't have any doubts about that. I didn't.
Speaker 1 (23:52):
I don't think that there's you know, before everybody started
coming out and defending him and taking up for him.
I believe that all these guys are behind him. It's
Brandle's got an agenda against Live, Yeah, and he's he's
going to find any little way to dig at Live
and you know, through the players on Live and since
living and playing right now. And but there's three guys
(24:14):
on on the Ryder Cup teams, you know, respectively, Europe
and US.
Speaker 2 (24:19):
He's going to use that as a way to dig
it live. And that's just what he does.
Speaker 4 (24:23):
How about Bryson's out talking to the Walker Cup team
getting them fired up? Do you think this team stuff
in the country? You know, play for it doesn't matter,
Give me a break.
Speaker 1 (24:31):
But it is amazing how it changed the news cycle
of the next day because then all the golf reporters
are now asking all the players on the team about
Bryson and about what Brandal said, and they're asking Keegan Bradley,
the captain, about it, and it becomes the whole day.
It's it can be a divisive thing, but the way
(24:52):
the US team and Keegan handled it.
Speaker 2 (24:54):
I thought was brilliant.
Speaker 4 (24:55):
Yeah, yeah, no doubt, no doubt. Yeap.
Speaker 5 (24:59):
Just need a little more in on that, because I
know Moo shared it with the coach, but I was like,
let's hear so. Another topic that the media has been
beating to death is that Scottie Scheffler says that President
Trump calls him after the winds and that he's going
to be on property at the tournament.
Speaker 2 (25:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (25:16):
I saw that, and I saw Justin Rose say something
to the effect that if Europe wins, he would welcome
President Trump up on stage. And I'm thinking, well, that's great,
but there's no way that Trump can do that, you know.
Speaker 5 (25:30):
There hep you want me to play, Yeah, I'll play shorts.
Speaker 6 (25:36):
I could wear the pants if I have to wear
the pants, I know.
Speaker 2 (25:39):
And I saw a lot of the comments in Scotty's
after that.
Speaker 1 (25:42):
Scotty posted that, you know, we're like, oh, I used
to like scott you see you and all this kind
of crime. And I'm like, Scotty Scheffler, that didn't know
you before, and he doesn't know you after.
Speaker 6 (25:51):
He doesn't care less.
Speaker 4 (25:52):
Yeah, as we learned last week, you know, say what
you want about the president, but he is a supporter
of the game of golf, and yes, yeah, yep.
Speaker 5 (26:02):
So we talked a little bit about, you know, the
guys donating their money back to charity, being on the
team US, et cetera, et cetera.
Speaker 6 (26:09):
Going back and forth.
Speaker 5 (26:10):
There's been a little bit of commentary on the internets
that talks about the Ryder Cup Gala Team USA, no tie, sneakers,
super casual. People are saying like USA has no class.
It was a bad idea, terrible look saying, have some pride.
This is the largest stage to represent your country.
Speaker 6 (26:26):
In the game of golf. What are you doing? Whose
ideal was it to go with the quote unquote relaxed fit.
What do you guys think?
Speaker 4 (26:34):
I didn't. I don't love it, right, I didn't either.
I'm not a sneakers with the suit person to begin with.
I know some people are. I mean, these aren't like
super young guys. They're they're not all super young. But
you know, there's different levels like today, they were dressed
up on stage yesterday, but there's opening ceremonies.
Speaker 6 (26:50):
They had the proper and look on yeah.
Speaker 4 (26:53):
And it's it's they're not in charge of any of
this whoever is there consultant that's doing the fashion and
the clothes for the scripts. This stuff all out for them,
So maybe they missed it right. Maybe they maybe they
they missed the mark there. But I think it's like
so silly to like.
Speaker 5 (27:08):
Well, there's so many things that we can pick out
and say that, and then the fact that like people
are saying like no class and this you know, represents
that they're not as serious as Team Europe.
Speaker 2 (27:18):
It's just you know, it's entertainment straws, yeah, and that
kind of stuff.
Speaker 1 (27:24):
I'm the oldest guy on the show, so you would
think that I would have the biggest problem with it.
Speaker 2 (27:28):
I have no problem with what they wear.
Speaker 1 (27:30):
I don't like the uniforms, to be honest. This year
I think a lot of it, you know, the stuff
that I would never wear.
Speaker 2 (27:37):
Even if yellow thirty, I wouldn't wear it.
Speaker 1 (27:40):
But you know, I'm not gonna I'm not going to
get up in arms anymore about a guy not wearing
a tie or you know, wearing sneak. I don't wear
the sneakers with suits either, moose, because I couldn't pull
it off.
Speaker 2 (27:51):
Mostly maybe if I could pull it off, I would
try it. But I don't get outraged by these things anyway.
Speaker 4 (27:57):
And I have a lot of weird roles, like I
don't think you should ever wear a black suit without
a tie, right. I don't think you should wear a
black suit with sneakers. I think you could pull it
off if you had blue on, you could open up.
I think if you have black on, you need a
tie on. That's just me. You never wear a black shirt.
You never wear a black shirt period, unless you're a
waiter at the Olive Garden. Like, I have a lot
of rules that I joea camera might have wore a
(28:18):
black shirt. What's that tell your hair?
Speaker 6 (28:21):
If you were how to go to a gallo that
was black and blue? What do you wear a blue shirt?
Speaker 2 (28:27):
BLA.
Speaker 6 (28:29):
We had to the Golfer cops one. We had to
do that it's black and blue.
Speaker 4 (28:33):
And I was like, no, you still wear a white shirt.
You wear black and blue suit and tie, white shirt.
Speaker 3 (28:40):
White shirt.
Speaker 5 (28:40):
Always when you pointed out there's somebody who's in charge
of this and gathering at all, and you know, two
years ago I think it was it's.
Speaker 4 (28:48):
Ralph Lauren, isn't it.
Speaker 2 (28:50):
Probably I would get moves to call Robini and then
we'd work.
Speaker 4 (28:54):
That's the way it was. These guys should all be
in Robini, Yeah, no doubt about it. Yeah, well, the
winner of our long drive will be in Robini again.
Speaker 6 (29:03):
Can Brandon enter that ship?
Speaker 5 (29:04):
If you could use a tailor, Robinie, Can I try
my husband for the long drive contest to get a news.
Speaker 4 (29:11):
Maybe that's all you. Maybe you could bid to have
him take your long drives.
Speaker 6 (29:15):
For There you go? All right, so we'll get off
the Ryder Cup for a little bit. I saw this.
I thought this was cool. I want to know both
of your answers.
Speaker 5 (29:24):
Right, if you were randomly dropped into a pro sporting event,
your entire countries, hopes, and dreams are on the line,
what would you most want to attempt? A A free throw,
be a penalty kick, CEE, a twenty five yard field goal,
or d a six foot putt?
Speaker 7 (29:45):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (29:46):
I mean.
Speaker 7 (29:48):
Oh?
Speaker 6 (29:49):
I said a free throw? All day?
Speaker 4 (29:50):
Yeah, all day?
Speaker 6 (29:52):
You're taking a six footer.
Speaker 4 (29:54):
I've taken a lot more six footers than I have
free throws in the past ten years, rightight, Yeah, I've
also missed a lot of six footers, which is if
you roll the there you go.
Speaker 1 (30:05):
If you roll the clock back to when I was
in my teens, maybe a free throw or something like that,
but I'll take the chance on the sixth fo Yeah,
I was.
Speaker 8 (30:13):
Going because at first, immediately I was like, oh, about
to break that what I'm saying, because there's some six
footers that could be like is it a six footer
a weekend or is it a six foot at lege?
Speaker 6 (30:25):
You know what I'm saying, Like, am I putting on
ice pudding?
Speaker 2 (30:29):
I'm trusting there's no volcano hole involved. I think it's
a nice flat Yeah.
Speaker 6 (30:34):
Have either of you ever attempted a field goal kick?
Speaker 2 (30:37):
Yeah? I believe I did. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 6 (30:40):
And what about a penalty kick?
Speaker 4 (30:42):
No, yeah, yeah, I could definitely I could square a
penalty cack.
Speaker 6 (30:45):
Have you attempted kick?
Speaker 4 (30:47):
Like when I was young, I never played soccer very little, Yeah,
I judging you. Yeah, there wasn't much soccer in southwest Philly.
But no, when you were very little, field those glass
covered fields did not. We're not conducive.
Speaker 6 (31:04):
Yeah, seriously, all right, Harry, I saw that you like this.
Speaker 5 (31:08):
So we have to give a quick shout out to
our friend of the show, John Baptiste for making it
through prequll for Q School. Now just to remind our
listeners of how ridiculous Q School qualifying process is. The
multi stage qualifying tournament series goes in stages obviously prequel,
first stage, second stage, final stage in between that too.
Speaker 6 (31:28):
It's like this wild thing.
Speaker 5 (31:30):
You have to like wake up at one or just
set your alarm and be available for as soon as
it opens to try to get your main location or
course if you will to play during that, like it's
opened up, like you know, first stage will be at
you know, however, many different locations and to start it.
It's just it's a wild process, multi stage qualifying. So,
like I said, prequel which he just got through, first stage,
(31:53):
second stage, final stage, and players need to advance through
each stage to earn PGA Tour cards or conditional status
on those dev tours. So final stage how to Dies
Valley Course at TBC Sawgrass and Sawgrass Country Club. Now,
top five out of all of those stages get the
PGA Tour cards and then from there you get those
subcategories where you know, maybe numbers six or ten get
(32:16):
into a well they get some tour starts, but yeah,
and then there's cord Fairy status and then you know.
Speaker 6 (32:24):
It reshuffles, et cetera, et cetera. So just kind of
looking back through this process again and how it's not
like any other sport.
Speaker 2 (32:31):
It's unreal or professional.
Speaker 6 (32:32):
Sport out there. It's it's wild, it really is.
Speaker 2 (32:35):
It's that's the Jean Baptiste.
Speaker 1 (32:36):
He's continuing the fight man and guy's got a lot
of talent, so he keeps getting better, he keeps gaining
more confidence.
Speaker 6 (32:43):
Yep. We love to see it, and it just as
a reminder to our listeners. You know those pro listeners
who listen to us each week. When you come on
the show, good things happen exactly.
Speaker 5 (32:53):
Well, that's what's trending in golf guys. That's the t

because the temperature are cooling off doesn't mean the sun

That's where SPF dot com.
Speaker 4 (33:21):
Beautiful.
Speaker 1 (33:22):
Yeah, I know we got other stuff to get to,
but I don't think you want to. I want to
interject this. I watched and was totally entertained by the
French Open golf tournament this past weekend.
Speaker 2 (33:35):
I know I was texting you guys because Brooks Koepka
was in contention.
Speaker 1 (33:40):
He was. I realized how much I missed watching that
guya play golf that matters, just with the swagger and
the gunslinger, you know, just the way he saunters down
the fairway. I was just glued to the television set Friday,
Saturday and Sunday.
Speaker 2 (33:59):
Now you didn't have up winning. He was very on.
Speaker 1 (34:01):
Brooks kept alike on the fifteenth pole where he was
in the middle of the fairway the one hundred.
Speaker 2 (34:05):
And fifty two yards and a nine iron in his hand, and.
Speaker 1 (34:08):
He blows it over the green and ends up making
bogie and then only parted the par five sixteenth and
that was the end of the tournament.
Speaker 2 (34:16):
But man, was it fun?
Speaker 3 (34:18):
Oh? I just miss miss him well.
Speaker 5 (34:20):
And Harro what was it last week or the week before?
I was just bringing up on the show. I'm like, wait,
Brooks lately has had such a bad stretch of golf.
He has been playing well, Like what's going on blah
blah blah, and from a female social standpoint, Jenna posted
like their tax exchange where Brooks is like, Hey, I
think we're going.
Speaker 6 (34:36):
To play in this event. I'm going out to Paris,
and she goes, I'm so jealous. You're going to Paris?
And he goes, do you want to come? And she
said yeah, and so she jumped on the Yeah.
Speaker 4 (34:46):
I don't think I have anything anything else.
Speaker 6 (34:49):
You know, I'm like, I guess I'll come to Paris.
Speaker 2 (34:55):
Right what's the private airstrip that they fly out of
near Jupiter?
Speaker 6 (34:59):
Like you have to know with this, Oh, it's literally
right behind PBI. There's a private airport right there.
Speaker 1 (35:04):
So it's just like it's literally the shuttle and I'll
get the nanny and yeah, I'll meet you in Paris.
Speaker 2 (35:13):
But it was great watching him, man, I just I
just love him.
Speaker 4 (35:16):
Did it inspire you in your game, Harry?
Speaker 2 (35:19):
Maybe I shot eighty four the other day, which was
only five pars but only one double bogue.
Speaker 3 (35:27):
That is the key.
Speaker 2 (35:28):
You got to just eliminate the doubles and you know
you can shoot a decent score, so it's getting better.
Speaker 4 (35:34):
Yeah, Well, I haven't played since the member guest. But
I have a really funny story for you, and it
has to do with the with the new putter. Look
at it with the Centerpost Spiders. Yeah, Center Post, Hey spider.
Now here's the funny story. I say, you know what,
I'm gonna go out to the PG superstore now you know,
(35:54):
the two of you know, and everyone listening to those
I wasn't leaving without something, right. So this this was
not a off cell, but this was the funniest interaction
I've ever had with a salesperson. This smooth son of
a gun. So I go in there. You're in the
putting area. I'm looking around, I'm hitting some putts and
there's like a there's like a ledge, like a like
(36:16):
a three foot four foot ledge that goes all the
way around the putting surface. So it's just me out
there hitting some putts. All of sudden, this boom, this guy,
this beautiful coft air, just pops out of nowhere. He's like,
what's up? Man, Like, hey, looking for the putter. I'm like, yeah,
what's on your mind? I'm like, you know, I'm looking
for the Center Post. I was looking for the jail break.
Speaker 1 (36:37):
You know.
Speaker 4 (36:38):
He goes, yeah, they're good options. But I'll tell you what.
Yeh's spider at the end there, He's like, I got
it about a month ago. Haven't missed the putt since
I turned around to look at the putt. I turned back,
He's gone, he was Where that guy go?
Speaker 3 (36:54):
He's gone.
Speaker 4 (36:55):
I'm like, all right, you tell me that him. So
I go over. I pick up the putter, and you know,
I swear, It's like it's like a boardwalk game there.
Everything funnels into the hole. So I'm hitting pots and
they're going in and I just I stopped for a
second and I just and I just hear the voice again.
This guy pop back up. I know what you're thinking.
I'm like what He's like, how can they all be
(37:16):
going in?
Speaker 7 (37:16):
Is it?
Speaker 4 (37:16):
Is it possible? As putter? Is this good?
Speaker 3 (37:18):
I'm like, no, no, I was.
Speaker 4 (37:19):
I wasn't thinking that. I was just I was just
looking at the butter. He's like, hit some more, disappears again, gone.
Speaker 2 (37:28):
I'm like, where does this guy go?
Speaker 4 (37:29):
I'm now I'm looking for him. I get the putter again.
Now I'm rolling some long ones and they're just rolling
in and this thing feels so great, and I'm just like,
oh man, I find a thirty four. All of a sudden,
he pops back with the head. He goes, here's the
head for it. You wanted to bring it up to
the register. I'm like the head cover? Yeah, he cover that.
He's like, you want a woman to just bring us
(37:50):
up to the register. I was like, yeah, yeah, show.
Speaker 2 (37:53):
Me walked away. So did he work there?
Speaker 3 (37:55):
Oh yeah, oh yeah yeah?
Speaker 6 (37:58):
Wow he gets a bonus first probably spider this year.
Speaker 4 (38:01):
Nobody needed to sell me. But this dude just it
was hilarious.
Speaker 6 (38:07):
Do you like where that shaft is mounted?
Speaker 7 (38:08):
Like you like this shift?
Speaker 4 (38:10):
I'm still sure if he was if he was a
real person or if he was a vision.
Speaker 6 (38:13):
I'm of your imagination.
Speaker 4 (38:16):
I'm not on dred percent sure.
Speaker 6 (38:17):
I'm not sure. Halfway through your story, I go, wait,
he hearing things?
Speaker 4 (38:22):
Or was this man actually there? But needless to say,
the Spider came home with me and I can't wait
to try. It just made so much sense with the
center post, Like you know, you can see it with
the regular club you kind of want more torque, but
like that center post my eye line, it just made
so much sense where you're hitting the ball.
Speaker 5 (38:37):
Yeah, I have to ask Brendan but when I first
met him in the first potter, he saw like when
I I like look through his bag and I was like, oh,
a spider And I just remember, like why is it
called a spider? So I like stayed but it was
black and white though it wasn't blue like yours, but
I remember that and after you know how they tinker
like once he was done like a year or two later,
Like I grabbed that and I was like, oh, this
is my putter.
Speaker 6 (38:58):
Now I had a little I had a little spider
moment too.
Speaker 4 (39:01):
Yeah, I'm excited to get out there and try it
for sure. We actual course, no, no, no, I know,
I can't I know, I can't wait. Now the weather
looks kind of crappy, but yeah, yeah, I can't wait.
But got our current confirmation. We talked about Tito's handmade
VAKA being back. Well, they're stepping up their game this year.
They're rolling in this like beautiful bar set up out there.
(39:24):
Can't wait for that. Made a connection a guy that's
been playing in our tournament that just listens to the
podcast for years works for Red Bulls. So we're gonna
have a sick Red Bull set up this year. So
much more stuff going on, more prizing. Really excited to
uh to roll everything out. So excited about that. But Harry,
it's all about Bethpage Black. It's all about the course
(39:44):
of course. Of course, that's brought to you by buy
my Balls. T off with top tier golf balls without
the top tier price. Buy my balls dot com top
quality recycled premium brands for a fraction of the price.
Go to buy my balls dot com. That's balls with
the Z. Tell the people about Bethpage Black Hair.
Speaker 1 (39:58):
Yeah, perhaps the greatest the municipal golf course in the
United States, the People's golf Course beth Page Black. One
of five golf courses at the beth Page This one
designed by aw tilling Hast and Joseph Berbick. Par seventy
for this tournament, seventy three hundred and ninety eight yards,
so seventy four hundred yards.
Speaker 2 (40:19):
Only one water hazard that's at the eighth hole.
Speaker 1 (40:22):
The par three sits right in front of it. Rhys
Jones did a renovation here back in nineteen ninety seven,
prior to them having the first US Open in two
thousand and two, which I was attended. I was there
for the two thousand and two US Open, the two
thousand and nine US Open, and the two thy and
twelve Barclays Championship. So I've walked this golf course numerous times.
(40:44):
I've never played it. Moose has played it. Seventy six bunkers,
and Moose I think was in a few of them.
Speaker 2 (40:50):
Because he was he still has PTSD, I think from
spot in most of them, and many are massive, especially
the fairway bunkers. It really just makes it for like beautiful.
You know, to the eye you don't want to be
in them, but man, does it look good.
Speaker 1 (41:05):
The greens are poa and bent grass. Average size is
six thousand square feet. The rough height is undisclosed, but
it's gonna be far less than what it would have
been for like a US Open.
Speaker 2 (41:17):
It's not gonna be four inch.
Speaker 1 (41:18):
Rough might be about two and a half two and
a half inch, and then they're gonna get rain on
Thursday all day Thursday, so that that's gonna grow over
the weekend. But really fast greens. The US team wants
really fast greens, probably in the thirteen thirteen plus on
the STIMP meter, but manageable rough.
Speaker 2 (41:35):
The meat of the golf course are the par fours holes.
Speaker 1 (41:39):
Nine through twelve big average from four hundred and sixty
to five hundred and fifteen yards in length.
Speaker 2 (41:45):
Hole fifteen is the beast of all, though that's you
cross the road back over.
Speaker 1 (41:50):
There's holes two through fourteen or on one side of
the road, and fifteen one and fifteen through eighteen or
on the other side of the road, and fifteen is
just a beast. The green sits about forty to fifty
yards or forty to fifty feet above the fairway height
and guarded by massive bunkers. There's only two par fives,
(42:12):
number four and thirteen, and there's four par threes three, eight, fourteen,
and seventeen, and three and eight are two hundred and
thirty and two hundred and ten yards respectively. The shortest
holes in the golf course are the first two. Number
one is a dog leg right, that's less than four
hundred yards. Danielle gave you the number to the front
of the green. I think it's around three seventy if
(42:34):
you take it by as the crow flies. If they
get it down wind, perhaps Bryson can get it there.
And you know, whole two is also under four hundred yards.
But this should just be spectacular. I cannot wait to
watch this. Having to wait till Friday seels like a
live event.
Speaker 6 (42:53):
IKI lately have been like should I go up there?
Speaker 2 (42:56):
Like?
Speaker 6 (42:56):
Should I be up there?
Speaker 4 (42:57):
I had an opportunity to go tomorrow, Yeah, Thursday, but.
Speaker 2 (43:03):
It's going to be a lot.
Speaker 4 (43:05):
I don't know if I want to go through all
that to get up there to watch practice.
Speaker 1 (43:09):
I was there in two thousand and nine and we
were in the tent the whole day because it rained
the entire day. Lucas Glover ended up winning that US Open.
Speaker 2 (43:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (43:17):
Yeah, Well, Harry, you know you've been on this for
a while, right, and the line is now US one
fifty Europe plus one sixty three. Yeah, have you changed
your mind at all? Where do you stand on this?

(44:26):
Gambling problem called one eight hundred gambler. No, I'm still
I bet Europe again because it went up to plus
one seventy.
Speaker 2 (44:34):
I took them again.
Speaker 1 (44:35):
I am not laying money like minus one fifty to
minus one ninety whatever it is on us depending on
where you get it. On a team with four rookies
and a team with two of their stalwart players not
playing their best golf. And I'm talking about Colin Morricow
and Xander Schawfley. Now one of them or both of
them could catch fire.
Speaker 2 (44:55):
They're that good. It can happen in any moment. I
get it.
Speaker 1 (44:58):
But they haven't been playing well all year long, so
I'm taking Europe. They got eleven veterans, They got some
guys that are just deadly, and I mean deadly in foursomes.
The alternate shot part portion of this rom has never
lost a match in alternate shot. Neither is Tommy Fleetwood.
They just dominate in that. I think that if they
(45:20):
get the putters working on the on the singles, I
think they win the thing.
Speaker 4 (45:24):
Wow wow. And it's interesting too. The day one number
is very telling. US is down the one oh six
in Europe is down the plus one fifty. So even
if they think it's going to be US, they think
Europe's going to jump out the one thing. I don't
know why, just because of the way the guy plays
and the fire and you know, top scorer. I was
taking a look at some of the top scores. That's
where you get decent odds on bet Park's Robert McIntyre
(45:46):
plus twelve hundred.
Speaker 2 (45:48):
Nobody's talking about him.
Speaker 4 (45:49):
I know he's talking about it.
Speaker 6 (45:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (45:51):
I think he's going to fly under the race and
be the top scorer for the European.
Speaker 1 (45:55):
He's got a competitive fire that I think few people realize.
Speaker 2 (45:59):
He is he is tough man, really tough.
Speaker 3 (46:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (46:03):
I like him there. And then when you go to
the US side, who do you think is going to
be the top score? You got Scotty as short as odds,
I don't think it's gonna be Scotty.
Speaker 2 (46:11):
I know, I don't. I was thinking, can't lay, can't.
Speaker 4 (46:15):
Lay at plus seven fifty, That's where I'm looking to.
Speaker 1 (46:17):
Yeah, I was thinking can't like because his his record
in team events is fifteen six and one Presidence Cup
and Ryder Cup combined.
Speaker 2 (46:25):
That is unbelievable. Yeah, he excels at the.
Speaker 3 (46:28):
Emotions, right.
Speaker 1 (46:31):
I know the Americans fans have a hard time, and
I love.
Speaker 5 (46:33):
To see a whoop on him because remember like Rory,
like they said, like his heartbeat going into like that
playoff hole or whatever, like I'd like to see. Can't
I feel like it's just like a steady, like sixty
eight all day long, like doom.
Speaker 2 (46:44):
Maybe a Russell Henley. What's Russell Henley's number?
Speaker 4 (46:47):
Because I was actually looking at because the longest odds
are on Harris English. I think Harris English is going
to play well. He has experience, right people, When people
forget that he's twenty five hundred on the bet parks
at Russell Henley is a thousand. Oh, Sam Burns is
then you got all the rookies more cows way down
there too. But you know, Bryson can go off too.
I just think he's going to have to control his emotions.
I think, you know, he has to. He has to
(47:09):
kind of stay within himself.
Speaker 5 (47:10):
But yeah, yeah, guys, I need to share this. I
just got a little alert on my phone. Tony Romo
was playing in prequel of Q School and.
Speaker 6 (47:21):
I was just talking about a little bit earlier.
Speaker 5 (47:23):
So Tony Romo played the last five holes in three
under at pre Q of Q School to finish one
under and is currently in a tie for sixteenth the
top thirty.
Speaker 6 (47:34):
Nine and ties advance.
Speaker 5 (47:36):
So that'll be fun to kind of, you know, have
a little Tony Romo tracker and see if he gets
through how stages he potentially gets through.
Speaker 6 (47:44):
But yeah, two under total, one over on the back
and one under total.
Speaker 2 (47:51):
Yeah, how much money does he owe Scotti Scheffler at
this moment.
Speaker 6 (47:55):
I love that story too. That's a pretty good one.
Speaker 4 (47:57):
Yeah, pretty good one. Yeah, well listen, guys, great stuff,
Thank you to the coach. The other one came young.
I feel like it's there's so many storylines in this
I just want I can't wait to see this thing
play out. You wonder how he's going to react here,
but cannot wait to get into it.
Speaker 6 (48:11):
I'm doing my work.
Speaker 5 (48:11):
I played today, I have a lesson on Friday. I'm
going to make sure we're slately. Mike Milisia at Admiral Nice.
Speaker 3 (48:21):
Yeah for love that guy.
Speaker 6 (48:23):
Yeah. So I'm gonna and Brandon today, I was playing, like,
you know, I asked I should know.
Speaker 5 (48:28):
This sounds embarrassing that I don't know, but I negotiated
four strokes a hole from we were on the first thing.
Speaker 6 (48:34):
It was just tell me what you want now, because
I'm not dealing with it. Whatever, I go four holes.
He's like, that's so irrational.
Speaker 1 (48:40):
But whatever, I'm just making it past twelve holes because
that's where Brandon says, your tipping point is, like.
Speaker 5 (48:45):
Actually, because we teed off at eight point fifty, didn't
neither of us like had a chance to warm up,
and Vienna's not feeling well. So today like we the
nanny got here really quick left and then we literally
just cracked our neck and we're like, all right, let's go,
you know, let's get out.
Speaker 4 (48:59):
I just hope eating get three birdies in a row,
because that could be painful.
Speaker 5 (49:05):
No, we played nine and he's like and I felt
like it just went so quick, and he's like, you're.
Speaker 6 (49:10):
Going to pay a couple more holes.
Speaker 3 (49:11):
We're like, what do you want to do?
Speaker 6 (49:12):
And I was like, no, let's go play a few more.
Speaker 5 (49:14):
So then we played four more, just like on a
little loop to like ten to eleven, I think like
seventeen eighteen to come back in. So yeah, but he
looked at me towards you and he goes, let me
fix your grip. I'm like, you've changed like three things.
Speaker 6 (49:26):
Wait, get this.
Speaker 5 (49:27):
I'm first the first hole, I play whatever I think,
you know, I just hit driving like a wood and
like you know, probably like chipped it up and putted.
Second hole I get in actually part number two, number three.
I go to pool a club from my bag and
I go, what what is this? And he goes, oh,
I put better clubs in there. I thought I was
being nice and you like this, but like it threw
(49:48):
me off so bad because imagine going to get like
your eight iron and it's not your eight iron, and
it's now like the men's stricks on, extra stiff, chaft whatever.
Speaker 6 (49:55):
And he's like, I'm like, it's heavier, it's it's stainless.
Steal shot is at my.
Speaker 5 (50:00):
Club and he's like, it's not that big of a deal.
And I was like so flustered after just coming off
a bar.
Speaker 4 (50:05):
I was like, sounds like.
Speaker 5 (50:09):
And so it took me a second and I'm like, okay, whatever.
Like they said not to get new clubs until I
had a lesson, So we'll sing.
Speaker 4 (50:17):
We're gonna say to have new clubs for the for
the outing.
Speaker 5 (50:21):
I'm gonna wait to see what Mike says on Friday
to see if, like, you know, or do I take
the lesson with these new clubs from Brandon or from
burn back to my old clubs.
Speaker 1 (50:31):
I don't know, NA take it with your old clubs,
Take it with your old The wife takes the G
four tomorrow to Nova, Scotia for the golf trip. Oh,
the overnight golf trip to cabin man. Two rounds of golf,
a night in the cabins.
Speaker 6 (50:44):
And he's doing it right.
Speaker 2 (50:46):
Yeah, yeah, somebody's living in this house.
Speaker 4 (50:52):
All right, great stuff, Thank you again to the coach.
We're gonna take you out with Harry Mays telling you
more about beat parks, But thank you for listening, thank
you for watching it, and we'll be back next week
to break it all down
Speaker 3 (51:02):
To listen, swing it, and ding it.
