(00:00):
Hey, Joel Malcolm Ford wj NOdot com, and my election spotlight is
on the very busy Republican primary forCongressional District twenty three. There are six
count of six candidates in the racefor the Republican primary and there is no
Democrat primary. The incumbent Jared Moscowhas has no challengers there for this Congressional

(00:24):
District twenty three seat, which coversportions of Broward and Palm Beach Counties.
But we have one of the sixcandidates on the line with us right now,
Gary Barv. Thank you for joiningme. Hey, so, thank
you so much for having me onyour show. Appreciate it, sir,
Thank you, appreciate you joining me. For sure, we want to make
sure that the you know, thevoters know who you know, who they

(00:45):
who they have, that you knowwhat their choices are at the at the
polls coming up this August. Solet's get let's get some background on you,
Gary, Let's talk about your youknow where you know, give us
some any kind of bio you'd like. Sure, So let me first quickly
introduce myself. My name is GaryBarr. I am a youth supporter of

(01:08):
our President Donald J. Trump.A proud Republican of the Republican Party that
belongs to our President Donald J.Trump. And I'm running for United States
Congress and flatted US twenty third Districtagainst Democrat Moscowits and against the establishment Republicans
to help President Trump make America tradeagain, keep America great, and save
America. And Joel, I'm runningbecause I love President Trump. I love

(01:33):
our country, the greatest country inthe world, the United States of America,
and I love our great American people. And like I said, I
want to help President Trump make Americatrade again. And so a little bit
about me. I was born inSummit, New Jersey in nineteen eighty four,
and unfortunately I did not have thetrade opportunity of growing up in our
great country, so I was bornhere. I say this, Joel,

(01:55):
I have President Donald J. Trump, Republican American blood in me. But
my family relocated to India when Iwas about four and a half years old,
and as soon as I completed myundergrad I relocated back home to Massachusetts.
I was then in Dallas, Texas, pursuing my full time MBA at
SMU, and it was during thefinal stages of my NBA course that tragedy

(02:17):
struck my life. I was diagnosedwith a clinical depression related illness right at
the final stages of the course, and I struggled and battled with this illness
for many years. I have nowmade a complete recovery and I take no
treatment now. I'm very happy tosay that. But I did battle with
this illness for many years. ButI've learned a lot from my battle with

(02:38):
clinical depression related illness, Joel.I've learned to never ever give up,
and to always keep fighting for ourcountry, for President Trumps america First agenda,
and for our great American people, irrespective of the oppositions, irrespective of
the odds against us, we keepfighting for our country. And then the
final thing I'd quickly like to sharewith you and your great listeners and viewer

(03:00):
is I'm a believer in Jesus Christas my Lord and Savior, and I
believe the Bible is the Word ofGod. And I will say this,
I do believe President Trump will winthis election on November fifth, twenty twenty
four, because I believe Jesus Christis with President Trump. Okay, Gary,
I had a joke in there aboutbattling clinical depression and beating it and

(03:22):
then goingting to get into politics. You must be brave, but well said
Well said, Well, I thinkthat's a very interesting topic. I mean,
if you want to just digress alittle bit from politics, I think
being brave is a sort of synonymousto overcoming fear. Right, everyone has
fears, but I think I alwayshave had a tendency, or very recently

(03:45):
at least in the last few years, I have had a tendency to try
and overcome and conquer fear. Fearis not a good emotion, and so
I try and conquer it now.I try and conquer it, especially when
it's to fight for my country becauseunder Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and Moscow
with our country has gone down atremendous negative spiral. I'm happy to talk
about a few agenda issues as wellduring the interview. But I believe I

(04:06):
believe President Trump will be the oneto save America. All right, yea,
And I want to get into allthat first, but or in a
minute here, But I first wantto get you know, what is your
background as far as you know work, what kind of work do you do,
what's your experience that kind of stuff. Yes, so like I said,
I had got my master's in businessadministration. I got it in entrepreneurial

(04:30):
strategy and marketing, and I wasworking in the technology industry. I was
working mainly in sort of business analystrules and sales rules for a little while,
but then I ran for you know, I realized, to be very
honest to and I realized that technologyis not my calling in life. And
I, like President Trump says,he there's a great video by President Trump,
Ten Rules of Success by President Trump, and he says, you got

(04:53):
to love what you do. Yougot to love what you do in your
career, in your life. AndI realized that serving the American peace with
the America First agenda is something thatreally something that I'm really passionate about.
And so I ran a for acity council in Santa Clara, California,
which is a very liberal place,in the twenty twenty general election, as

(05:13):
a huge supporter of President trum.I did that on a full time capacity.
I was not working on a employmentat that time. To my memory,
I was working on the campaign fulltime and we had a tremendous result.
I would have read make Santa Claraa great hat during the campaign,
we got a lot of media coverage, and we got twenty three percent of
the vote in a three person raceand there were only about seventeen to my

(05:38):
memories, there were only about seventeenpercent Republicans in the district that I ran
in, and so we were ableto pull votes, hundreds of votes from
personnel from other political parties, sowe had a great result. And then
after that, like I said, you know, I became a student.
I don't think I mentioned that,but I became a student at Liberty University,
which is so I went to Virginiain Lynchburg, virgin I went to

(06:01):
Liberty University, got into their master'sprogram. I did not graduate from Liberty
University, but I completed one coursethere. And I'm sure you're you know,
Joel that Liberty University is one ofthe largest Christian schools in the country.
And so then I relocated to Florida. And to be honest, I
relocated to Florida because I wanted towork for President Trump's campaign for President of

(06:28):
the United States of America, thetwenty twenty four campaign. But in the
end, I decided to run againstMascovich. And that's my way of serving
the great American people in our countryand President Trumps America First Agenda. Do
you clearly feel like you have acalling? Is what I'm is what I'm
taking up here. Do you doyou reside in the district? Yes,

(06:53):
I live in Coompano Beach, Okay, And so I do reside in the
district. And to touch upon yourprevious point, Joel, I do believe
I'm following Godspeth. I said thisdoing my one of my speeches. I
do believe I'm following God's path.I'm following Jesus christ path towards serving our
country, toward serving our creative Americanpeople, and toward serving President Trump's America

(07:13):
First Agenda. And I made avery bull statement on one of my previous
interviews too. I said, whilePresident Trump and I our life, we
will not let our country be destroyedby the corrupt Democrat Party. We will
just not allow it to happen.Uh, let's talk about the you know
you you have on your on yourcampaign website America First Agenda. And I'm

(07:35):
you know, you're the first personin candidly that I'm interviewing in this race.
But I know that in the pasta couple of years ago. We
did have other several candidates in thisrace that also had the taking on the
America First agenda and and very youknow, strong support for the former president.
Yes, I know if it's stillmy president, but I got you

(07:58):
still many of our many of manyof our listeners you know, will be
familiar with the agenda. I wantto kind of take what is you know,
we talked about the economy, ittalks about the securing the borders,
it talks about the Second Amendment. And of all these tenants, I believe
there's fifteen of them on your websitelisted, what would you say would be
the top two. I know they'reall important to you, but what would

(08:22):
you if you had to just reallyput the top to what would they be?
Well, it's very simple. Well, number one, I'll say quickly
say this. I have made acampaign promise that when President Trump becomes the
forty seventh president of the United Statesof America and when I get to serve
the American people in Congress, Iwill vote with President Trump one hundred percent

(08:43):
of the time. And to answeryour question more directly, I think the
issue that's closest to my heart isthe issue of illegal immigration, because I
believe illegal immigration is destroying our countryfrom within. I mean, look to
a little over the last few yearsunder Joe Biden, Kamala, Harris Mascowitz

(09:03):
and the Democrat Party, millions ofillegal immigrants have crossed across the southern border
into our great United States of America, illegally, bringing in tremendous crime,
horrific human trafficking, and deadly drugssuch as fennail into our country. We
have criminal gangs such as MS thirteencome into our country now. These are
vicious criminals known for their cruelty, and we will just not allow this to

(09:26):
happen. And for that, weneed to build a wall. We need
to stop catch and release, andwe need to stop asylum fraud. And
I genuinely believe this tool. Weneed to designate the foreign cartails seer in
our country as foreign terrorist organizations andchoke off their supply to the global financial
system. So that's the illegal immigrationis a huge issue for me. And

(09:50):
I do understand that a lot ofpolling shows that economy is the other important
issue, and I do believe economyis a very important issue. Inflation is
really a country buster, ess thanTrump says, and you know, people
are having trouble putting food on thetable for their families. And it's a
very tough situation because of the inflationwhich is under Joe Biden, Kamala Harrison
moscowitz. But the issue that theother issue that's very close to my heart

(10:15):
is defending and not defunding our police, sheriffs, ice, military veterans,
firefighters and first responders. And Igenuinely believe that most police officers, sheriffs,
law enforcement officers, and firefighters andyou know veterans, first responders,
they're great people and they run towardsdanger to protect civilians and residents they do

(10:39):
not even know. And I believethis is bravery and courage of the highest
level. And so we must defendand not defund. I mean, look
at what's happening to our great Americanveterans right now. There are thirty three
thousand homeless great American veterans in ourcountry right now. And what's Joe Biden
and Kamala Harrison Moscow is doing. They're funding up to a billion dollars a

(11:01):
billion with the BEE. They're fundingour illegal the illegal immigrants coming into our
country. My loyalty lies with theAmerican people who have served the country and
not towards the illegal immigrants. SoI would strongly recommend that a lot of
the money that's being spent on theillegal immigrants should be spent on our veterans,

(11:22):
police, salers, ice, military, firefighters, first responders. And
I do want to target a situationwhere we have zero veteran homelessness, zero
veterans joblessness, and complete mental healthservices for our tradive American veterans. I
strongly believe that I want to getyou on a global issue or too,
because you know, if you're inCongress, you you know you would be

(11:45):
asked to vote for potentially funding forUkraine and or funding for Israel. This
has been an issue, you know, covering the news, I've noticed has
become a partisan whereas mostly you know, the Republicans are wanting to continue funding

(12:09):
Israel and it's in its battle againsthamas a terrorist organization, and Democrats are
stronger about supporting And it's just something. And you can correct me if I'm
wrong about supporting Ukraine and its battleagainst Russia. So where do you stand
on this? All? Right? So let's first talk about the Israel Hamask

(12:31):
conflict. Number One. I supportIsrael one hundred percent. Israel is our
friend and ally, and Hamask, like you correctly said to, it's a
terrorist organization and what happened on Octoberseventh is a travesty. And I do
so. Before I make some policystatements right now, I want to say
this, All policy statements that Imake are superseded by what President Trump decides

(12:54):
when he becomes a forty seventh presidentof the United States of America. Because
I will vote with President Trump onehundred percent of the time. I've made
that campaign promise, and I believein President Trump, and I believe in
my campaign promise. But when itcomes to Israel, I do support supporting
Israel. I believe Israel has thefull right and authority to fight against Hamas

(13:16):
and defeat and destroy Hamas. Igenuinely believe that. And when it comes
to the Russia Ukraine conflict, Iwant to be very careful about what I
say, because President Trump has saidthat he will resolve the Russia Ukraine conflict
after November twenty twenty four, whenhe becomes president elect, and before probably

(13:37):
before even January twentieth, twenty twentyfive, he said he will resolve the
issue. So I want to makebe very careful about what I say when
it comes to the Russia Ukraine conflict. But I believe in President Trump.
I believe he will resolve the issue. And that's my position on it.
So, and you brought up onehundred percent campaign promise couple of times.

(14:00):
Now, let me ask you.I mean, you may remember when when
Trump was, you know, thepresident of the United States. When it
comes to Second Amendment, and youcall yourself on your website a strong supporter
of the Second Amendment, there werethere were you know, there was a
time when after the Las Vegas massshooting, he was for banning I remember

(14:22):
him making some comments and he didsomething he might have done an executive order,
but I'm banning the bump stocks. And I know that's been in the
news with the Supreme Court winging inon that. But let's just say he
did. Let's say, as astrong supporter of the Second Amendment, Trump
decided to do something you didn't onehundred percent agree with, especially when it

(14:43):
comes to the to the Second Amendmentor or really any other thing, You're
still going to vote for him, even if it. Maybe you know you're
just going to put your trust inhim. I mean, is that how
it's going to work? Well,I said, like I said to a
that's a great question. But likeI said, I love President Trump.
I love our country, and Ilove our creatom people. And I'll pay
this my loyalty. And I'm avery loyal person. My loyalty lies towards

(15:05):
President Trump and our country. Trumpand country, That's where my loyalty lies.
So I believe in President Trump tomake the right decisions. Look,
he's the most successful man on earth. He's the most capable man on earth,
and everyone knows that. I mean, I can go into details of
why I believe he's the most successfulman on earth. But I believe in
President Trump. He has the country'sbest interest at heart, and he will

(15:26):
make the right decision for our country, and I will support him one hundred
percent. I do believe this.I'll say this, Joal, I believe
I have one percent ability, onepercent success, one percent even perseverance compared
to President Trump. Because number one, I'm a lot younger than President Trump.
And I really tremendously respect and admiredPresident Trump. He's had a tremendous

(15:48):
positive impact on my life. ButI do believe I'm at one percent compared
to what President Trump is and soI will just follow his leadership and I
will support him in making America tradeagain as a US don wrestlers, Okay,
and then and then before we wrapup, you know you got five
opponents in this race. I know, I know you're you're looking forward to
facing Jared Moskowitz in the in Novemberin the general election, but you do

(16:12):
have you know, you would haveto beat five other opponents, including Robert
Winroth, you know, a formerDemocrat and uh Tom Beach County commissioner and
one time county mayor as well. You also have a couple of names that

(16:32):
I'm familiar with from the last timein this race. So what what what
makes you Gary Barve the best candidatein this race for the voters? Great
question. So now there are afew reasons for this. Number One,
I'm the biggest supporter of President Trumpin the district, not just in the
district, but in the country. And I believe President Trump will need supporters

(16:53):
who are with him one hundred percent. I don't think. Don't quote me
on it, but I have notheard any of my opponents make the statement
that they will support President Trump's agendaone hundred percent. That's the first reason.
The second reason is I believe Ihave weak opposition, and I've talked
about it in a few minutes rightnow. Three of my opponents, Joe
Kaufman, Karla Spaulding, and DarleneSwaffer have filed and got on the ballot

(17:18):
and run and lost for US Congresselection in the previous few years on so
many occasions put together that I callthem habitual losers. We don't want that.
We want someone who is on theballot for the US Congress election for
the first time, which would beme, Gary bar And we want a
strong person with a lot of dravitasthat will be able to defeat beta male

(17:41):
Moscovitz. I call him beta maleMoskowitz because President Trump is the alpha male
and Moskowitz is the beta male.I genuinely believe Mascowitz will be defeated by
our campaign, and it will bethe people's campaign. We the people will
defeat Jared Moskowitz. On November twentytwenty four, and you mentioned Robert Weinroth,
I call him Rhino Robert Weindros because, as you correctly said, he

(18:03):
used to be a Democrat and didvery recently. And I don't think he
really supports President Trump, and Idon't think he's got a shot. And
then the last guy I'm running againstis Joe Taluska. I believe he supports
the country of Haiti more than hesupports my country and your country and our
country, the United States of America. So I call him Harry Joe.
So look, we have weak opposition. I believe we have the strongest campaign

(18:26):
in the entire district, and Istrongly believe that we will be able to
win the primary election, which isAugust twentieth, twenty twenty four, and
then go on unite together as aparty within the district and then defeat Maskowitz
on November fifth, twenty twenty four. Okay, we're going to wrap up
here, but I appreciate you againyou taking the time to speak to us.

(18:49):
You have any party messages, Well, I'll just say this if used,
my message to you and your greatviewers and listeners. If you support
President Trump, I am the obviouschoice. I'm his biggest supporter, not
just in the district but in thecountry, and I'm fighting for President Trump
in a great way. I've madestatements against the political weaponization of the Department

(19:11):
of Justice, against President Trump bythe corrupt Joe Biden, Kamala Harris Mascow
which Democrat Party, I said, statements against Fanny Williams, Jack Smith,
Judge Murshaan, Alvin Bragg. Icall him fat Alvin. These are people
who are destroying our country. AndI'm fighting for President Trump and I'm with
him one hundred percent. So ifyou support President Trump, please vote Gary

(19:33):
Barr for US Congress in Florida's twentythird district. And I'd like to end
with this quote, if you're okaywith it, We're one nation under God,
and in God we trust. MayGod bless you, and may God
bless the United States of America, the greatest country on Earth. All right,
again, appreciate you taking the timeto speak to the voters in District

(19:55):
