challenge for a lot of people for a long time.
The President loading an idea of a fifty year mortgage.
While that is debated and we see if it becomes reality,

When I first heard about this, my first thought was
you honestly, where you talk about how retirement, you should
not be going into retirement with a mortgage. Here's the
good news about a fifty year mortgage or a thirty
year mortgage, or any mortgage. You do not have to
keep it. It is not a lifelong contract. It's a

great option for some people that are stuck in the
rental mentality to maybe make affordability a little bit better,
to get them into the market, and then they can
refinance later. They can make that extra payment or two
or three a year and bring that interest down, because

that's the negative, right, they're going to pay a lot
more interest if they keep it. I don't know many
people that keep a property for fifty years or thirty years,
and certainly not that loan.

It's a really good point. You bring up my first
rule of retirement, which is a mortgage isn't a retirement plan.
But also home ownership I believe is extremely important. So
yes to your point. If it would help people that
otherwise wouldn't be able to buy get out of that
renting cycle, then there is a definitely a value proposition.

Yes, the average age is increasing of home ownership and
we need to reverse that because the sooner you buy,
the sooner you can build equity. And granted at fifty
years you're going to build it a lot slower, but
you're building your equity, not the landlords.
