It is a hot button topic, that is, for sure,
property taxes in the state of Florida. Of course, Governor
DeSantis has called for the elimination of homestead of property taxes.
There are eight current proposals that have been drafted for

consideration in the upcoming state legislative session. None of those
call for the Governor's proposal as of yet. How is
this impacting things from your perspective, Well.

It's one of the things that I think people aren't
talking about right now. As matter of fact, brand I
just had somebody say to me, you know, the homeset
exemption is not that big a deal. It's just fifty
thousand oh people are missing I know, crazy, right, people
are missing the point. It's to save the home benefit
that comes along with the homestead. That is the big

difference of Florida and everybody else. It is the reason
that the wealthy are running to Florida. You know, if
people talk about no state income tax, that's great at all, right,
but that save the home benefit for all of us
that call Florida our primary residence is huge. I have

clients that I'm selling their home and they forgot to
file for homestead oh five years crazy. Now, if I
had been their agent, that wouldn't have happened because I'm
reminding them. But the reality is, the homestead exemption makes
Florida special. Now, would we prefer to have no taxes?
Of course, we'll have to wait and see. But the

reality is it's already pretty amazing in Florida.
