He is called the Spirit of Truth. Lord granted the
Spirit of truthful abide with us and give us an
(00:58):
understanding of the scriptures. And we asked this in Jesus
name and for his sake, Amen. Amen.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
In the last program were finished by trying to figure
out about this woman that lost. She had ten pieces
of silver. So far we've been seeing that each one
of those silver can be a symbol of the ten Commandments. Okay,
And then For those of you who miss it, remember
(01:27):
we are on YouTube. You can go and listen to
the radio program. You can watch the Voice of the
Eternal Gospel also through Christian Television network. Doesn't matter where
you're listening, you can watch it. By God's grace, we
have been encovering about eighty five percent of the glove
(01:47):
through television. We finished last program by asking your pastor
Barry if the silver one coin of the silver was lost.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
It's just that the lady have to take up a lot,
right the woman. The woman lost the coin. We're looking
there at the parable look back at fifteen eighth, Look
fifteen eight. Let's go back to look fifteen eight so
we can so people can have a point of reference.
A little time went by it since that's talked about it.
Either what woman we know woman is a church having
ten pieces s of we identified ten pieces silver. Dealing
(02:18):
with it gives wisdom, knowledge, understanding, representing the God's law,
his ten commandments, and it can also be his word,
but especially his laws ten commandmentsiness case, it says, if
she loses one piece, do if not, what light a
candle and sweep the house. Now this is we'll be
looking at next, why she's gonna do what? She's gonna
light a candle and sweep the house. Why is she
(02:39):
lighting a candle? Because remember what did Jesus say about
the church? I want to find that text so everybody
can see with me. Why while we're asking certain questions,
Jesus says in about ye are the light of the world.
What Bible texts positive Matthew five five five fourteen? Can
you read it for us?
Speaker 3 (02:58):
You are the light of the world. A city that
is set on a hill cannot be hid.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
Ye are the light of a world. So Jesus talking
about the church, the Church light of the world. Right.
But now this according to the parable, the woman had
the light a candle. What is a candle? Okay, this
first of all a candle. What does the Bible like
them to a candle or something that brings light? Go
to Psalms one nineteen one oh five.
Speaker 1 (03:25):
Psalms one nineteen one oh five.
Speaker 3 (03:28):
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a
light onto my path.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
Now we will look that word up in the actual Hebrew.
It says that word is a candle unto my feet,
and a light into my path. So we find that
the word of God was a candle, all right? Now,
remember the woman had the light the candle. In order
to light the candle, something had to happened. So the
word of God is a candle. But it but in
this case, the word of God is not lit. Why
(03:53):
isn't the word of God lit? What has happened to
the church since the Apostolic times to this time? That
that certainly the people don't have the Word of God,
or they might have it in the hand, but they
but they can't, they don't understand what they're reading. What
has happened. Let's take a look. First of all, the
(04:15):
Bible says the woman had to light a candle. The
candle's word of God. But now, how is the word
of How is the word of God? How can how
can the Word of God be lit? How do you
light the Word of God? What is the what is
the actual light? In order to light a candle, you
need what? What do you need? The oil?
Speaker 3 (04:34):
Oil?
Speaker 2 (04:34):
You need oil on one hand, but in order to
light the oil too, you need what what does the
oil produce?
Speaker 1 (04:40):
Fire?
Speaker 2 (04:41):
Fire? And the candle also produces what fire? Fire? And
this fire gives what light? The light? So what is
it that must light the word of God.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
Obviously there was no electricity.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
So she had to So let's see, let's see what
we had to use. Let's go to Matthew chapter three,
verse eleven, verses ten eleven.
Speaker 3 (05:06):
And now also the axe is laid into the root
of the trees. Therefore every tree which bringeth not forth
good fruit is hen down and cast into the fire.
I indeed baptize you with water onto repentance. But he
that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes
I am not worthy to bear. He shall baptize you
(05:26):
with the Holy Ghost and with fire.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
He should baptize with the Holy Ghost. And with what fire?
I want you to notice the last two words, the
Holy Ghost and fire. The woman, in order to find
the lost peace, had to receive the Holy Spirit. And
the Holy Spirit is represented also by fire. You see,
because the scriptures themselves are given by what inspiration of God?
(05:53):
And how did the Bible say? Holy men wrote those
prophets who wrote the Old and the apostles who wrote
the New Testament? How did the Bible say? And two?
Peter won twenty one for.
Speaker 3 (06:03):
The prophecy came not in old time by the will
of man, but Holy Men of God spake as they
were moved by the Holy ghosts.
Speaker 2 (06:10):
Holy men of God's space, as they moved by to
what the holy ghosts? I want to keep that in mind.
So the Holy ghost was the inspiration and the fire. Now,
by the way, does the Word of God carry fire?
What did Jeremiah say about the Word? He talks about
something about fire where right? Just want you see this.
I want you look at this. Jeremiah tells you that
he's like what fire where he talks about fire in
(06:33):
his bones? You remember that? Remember remember reading about that
what was fire in his bone? Won't you tell me
that once you look at that? What was fire in
his bones? Jeremiah? Yah? Yah, remember that story fire in
the bones. Let's take a look at.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
That moment nine? Is that it?
Speaker 2 (06:52):
Jeremiah twenty nine is what I'm talking about?
Speaker 3 (06:55):
Twenty versus.
Speaker 2 (06:56):
Here in the Book of Jeremiah with me, Jeremiah.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
Uh word was in my heart was burning fire? That one?
Speaker 2 (07:03):
Yeah, you read them for us.
Speaker 3 (07:04):
Then I said, this is Jeremiah chapter twenty verse nine.
Then I said, I will not make mention of this,
nor speak anymore in his name. But his word was
in my heart as a burning fire shut up in
my bones. And I was weary with forbearing, and I
could not stay.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
His word was in my heart as a burning fire
shut up in my bones. But what is this fire
that comes into our heart? That that actually that Jeremiah's
describing here, that brings with it, that has the Word
with it. This is time about the Holy Spirit, for
the Bible. Say you know him, for he do John
fourteen sixteen through eighteen.
Speaker 3 (07:37):
Read that on me, and I will pray the Father,
and he shall give you another comforter, that he may
abide with you forever, even the spirit of truth, whom
the world cannot receive because he seed him. Not neither
know with him. But you know him, for he dwell
it with you and shall be in you.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
You know him, for he dwelloped with you and shall
be in you. So the Holy Spirit is the one
that stirs up the human heart and makes it like
fire in the bone. The word of God becomes fire
in the bones. All right. Now, Notice very carefully, though
the Bible said the woman the church had to light
a candle, So the candle had to be lit by fire.
(08:13):
And only power that can distir the stir the stirred
of mind. Now, what else is fire? By the way,
because the woman is not lighting the candle by herself
in reality, she's lighting it by divine power. Because there's
a there's a diarf in the land, there's darkness over
the earth. People are being kept in superstition and shrouded
(08:33):
in this darkness, deep darkness, and yet God must do something.
What else is a candle for God to light? Because
only then, now, remember, in order for the woman to
find the peace, her candle must be lit. All right,
So how do you light a candle? You use fire? Right, yes,
But let's see something for one more point though, what
(08:55):
else is a candle to God? I want to know.
I want to know what else is a candle for God?
Because I need to know so we can get a
better picture of this and see the characteristic in history
that's going to reveal this thing very clearly, because I
know right now you're wondering what is he talking about? Now,
well you got a clear picture, right, Let me help
you out a little bit more and we'll see. Let's
(09:15):
go to Proverbs for a moment, twenty twenty seven Proverbs
twenty something. What else is a candle for God?
Speaker 3 (09:25):
The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord.
Speaker 2 (09:28):
Wait minute, what the spirit of man? The word spirit
here means the mind, the intellect. The will of man
is the candle of the Lord. Wait a minute, what's
the candle of God?
Speaker 1 (09:40):
Here?
Speaker 2 (09:42):
The mind the will of man. So wait a minute.
If men's minds are sitting in darkness, God says his
mind is my candle. So on your mind you have
a wick. Your wick is the will of God. And
when you are willing to subm admit yourself to God completely,
(10:02):
God is willing to light your candle. What did God
promise he will give you? That is symbolizing lighting your
candle or lighting your mind? Listen carefully, listen carefully. The
mind a man is the what candle of the Lord? Searching? What?
Speaker 1 (10:18):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (10:19):
The inward parts of the belly.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
Searching the inward parts of the belly means the inward
parts of the heart. All right, So wait a minute.
Your mind pastor your mind color and my mind and
those listening, all our minds are to our candles for God,
we have a wick. Our wick is our will. Because
God cannot come into our hearts, he cannot light us
(10:41):
unless we're willing to be lit. Right, So now get this,
and so what is it that God will use to
light us? What did he promise he will give us?
What did Jesus promise he will give us? First of all,
Jesus told us accept the man be what born? Again?
He cannot what see the King of God. And then
he goes on and John three five, except the man
be born of the what watering of the what spirit?
(11:04):
That water is dealing with justification, and the spirit is
dealing with sanctification. That's upt the man be born of
the water and the spirit he cannot what enter the
Kingdom of God? So wait a minute? What did God
promise he would light you with? Jesus told you in
John fourteen sixteen it says, and I will verse seventeen
think it is which says, and I will pray the
Father that he will give you another comforter cola, that he.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
May abide with you forever. Even the spirit of truth,
whom the world cannot.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
Notice, the spirit of what truth? The spirit of truth?
The spirit of truth? What's truth? What is truth? John
seventeen seventeen. They swore, does sanct sanctify them through the truth?
That word is truth. So the spirit of truth is
the spirit of the Word. What's the spirit of the word,
the Holy Ghost? So wait a minute, what is the
(11:53):
woman happened to do? She must light her her candle
must be lit. She can only have her candle lit
if she draws near God and near the Word of God.
Now do we have anything in the history of the
Church where men who sat in darkness began to suddenly
have bestirred to search to look at the scriptures. There's
(12:14):
a story told about a man who was who was
kissing pilot's staircase one day, and he was kissing the
steps and saying his saying his rosaries and whatever he
was doing. And suddenly, because he had been going to
a little convent and from time to time he was
an Augustinian monk, and from time to time he would
sit there and he could he had asked us at
(12:36):
a convent to a Bible that was chained to a desk,
and he would look at the Bible, and he would
begin to want to understand what God says. In fact,
he began to even translate, because he was well taught
in Latin and Hebrew and Greek, and he began to
translate some of the things that was written and he
began to study the Bible closely, but he was still
kind of unsure because of the traditions and the customs
(12:59):
and the pres in the sayings of the priests and
the prillates and the cardinals and the bishops. And as
a result, one day, while he was walking up Pilot's
staircase up going around doing his pentance, he was kissing
the steps and saying his penance, and maybe he was
doing Hell Mary's too, but he was moving up the steps,
and as he moved up the steps, suddenly, like lightning up,
(13:22):
the word of God flashed in his mind, saying, Luther,
the just shall live by faith. And this shocked Luther's
mind to such agree. His candle was lit, and suddenly
his mind became the candle of the Lord. And what
did David say in Psalms eighteen Psalm's eighteen look at
(13:43):
this for me, look at Psalm's eighteen twenty eight. Listen
what David said. What happened.
Speaker 3 (13:49):
Psalm's eighteen, verse twenty eight. The part of God says,
for thou wilt light my candle, the Lord, my God
would enlighten my darkness.
Speaker 2 (13:58):
Thou will light my candle, Lord my God, will light
my what my darkness? So here we find that the
darkness was dispelled, as God lit the candle of Luther.
But before Luther, God lit the candle of John Whitecliffe.
God lit the candle of Johnahanna's huss John lit the
candle of different ones over the years. He lit the
(14:20):
candle of Malathen as well. He began to light the
candle of the Reformers. They begin to translate the Bible.
William Tyndale receive the word of God to the point
he said, I'm gonna cause the boy that pulls the
plow to know more of the holy scriptures than all
you priests and prilics. Do you remember? And then we
(14:40):
find this candle being lit. What's the candle? The Word
of God is now a light unto my feet, and
a lamp un to my feet, and a light unto
my path. The candle is the Word of God. Light
is coming from the word of God. Jesus said, I
am the light of the world, he that follow me
when I welcome darkness, but have the light of life.
And what was the light that first lit Luther's mind?
(15:03):
The just shall live by faith. The message on righteousness
by faith, not righteousness by works, not righteousness by long pilgrimages,
Not righteousness by going to priests, but righteousness going to
God on your knees and confessing and forsaking your sins.
Luther began to understand that the just shall live by faith.
(15:27):
His candle was lit. God began to use Whitecliff, Huss
and Luther to bring about the light, to bring the
people out of the darkness of the Dark Age into
the great light of the Reformation.
Speaker 1 (15:41):
Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord. You know there was
a light.
Speaker 2 (15:47):
This is the woman's candle, right, the silver, the light
being lit.
Speaker 1 (15:51):
And then when Jesus saw come on those churches that
have received the light but went back into the slumbers. Right,
Jesus brought then another awakening, so to speak. Right, and
then I'm talking about the awakening of the eighteen forty four. Yes, right,
(16:13):
and then broke Jesus won because the light, according to proverbs,
it should be increasing.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
Yes, more than right. Just as you said that, how
do we know the light would increase? Because Daniel twelve
four said, but what? But how old Daniel shut up?
The words silt the book even to the time. An
in for knowledge will increase and mentioned right to and fro.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
Yeah, because the path of the righteous.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
Path of the justice as what the probably Proverbs for eighteen.
Speaker 1 (16:40):
For four eighteen. That's right. So when Jesus saw that
that the churches went back again into the slumberness, the
spirit of Martin Luther and all those reformers has been
being put to sleep, sort away, fast fading.
Speaker 2 (16:56):
Away the fire. We're gonna stay wish, We're gonna what
caused that moment?
Speaker 3 (17:01):
Yes, Proverts for eighteen says, but the path of the
just is us the shining light that shineth more and
more unto the perfect day.
Speaker 2 (17:10):
Now listen carefully. Now we talked about this issue. The
woman had to but she had ten pieces of silver.
Right now, we want to find out what called what
happens to the silver that causes it not to shine
like it should. Let's take a look at something for
just a moment. Go with me back for just a moment.
Since you brought this up, go with me back for
a moment, and let's look careful moment at Psalms, just
(17:35):
a moment, and I want to just show you well.
Speaker 1 (17:38):
You're talking about when the spiece of silver was covered
with dust.
Speaker 2 (17:43):
Yes, okay, We're going to find out that's what it says.
And look, okay, go with me to listen carefully. There's
Isaiah one twenty two. Go to looke Isaiah one two.
Let's go there. We're going to see why the woman
had a hard time finding this piece. Later too, Look
at this.
Speaker 3 (18:01):
Thy silver is become draws thy wine mixed with water.
Speaker 2 (18:05):
Wait a minute, the silver? What is the ten pieces
of silver? Deal with the ten commandments? The woman is
gonna lose a piece. But but but what's happening to
the silver? The silver is becoming drass? What what is draws?
What comes of? What happens when something is made with draws?
(18:25):
It become it becomes uh warm, covered up right, it's
covered up right. It's hard to it's hard to see
and make a description. Fade away, right, It's almost like
rust is something to right right?
Speaker 3 (18:38):
Right?
Speaker 2 (18:39):
Okay, right now, let's let's go a bit closer. It
says I, so it become draws, right, and it says,
but and then what caused the draws? Now, listen carefully,
thy wine? What is wine? We find a wine is doctrine,
especially sound doctrine. It is called instruction in righteousness. Thy
wine now is mixed with what water? Water? What's question?
(19:02):
Can water take a piece of silk? Can water affect silver?
Can water? If you stay? If water stays on silver
too much, can it causes silver to become draws? Can
it begin to cause the silver to rust out? Can
water do that over a period of time?
Speaker 1 (19:21):
Just pure silver?
Speaker 2 (19:22):
Yeah, over over paid of time. If water constantly stays
on it, and dirt, let's say dirt gets in there too.
Speaker 1 (19:27):
Well, dirty, That's what I understand it about it.
Speaker 2 (19:29):
Yes, ware, water just for a while, I wouldn't do nothing.
Over a period of time, if it keeps falling on it, it
will begin to rust the silver. The moisture in the
air can do that. Right. But now let's go closer.
The wine is mixed with what water? Wait a minute,
what is the real issue here? Who are who is silver?
First of all, let's go here, go to Psalm sixty
(19:50):
six ten. Now what is this silver? Let's see something?
We want to see something. We know this silver was
ten the tin cobdmos. But now what else is silver?
Speaker 3 (19:58):
For thou God has proved us, Thou hast stried us
as silver is tried.
Speaker 2 (20:03):
Now, notice that God's people are also what silver. Now
the God's people have must receive what nourishment. They must
receive wine and good wine, the good, the good, the
good wine. But the wine now is that's which will
be Sound doctrine is now mixed with water? What is water?
(20:27):
In Bible prophecy a symbol of let's go to revelation
for us seventeen fifteen. Uh huh, Let's see what happened
there seventeen fifteen.
Speaker 3 (20:38):
And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest
where the horseher fitteth, are people's and multitudes and nations
and talk.
Speaker 2 (20:46):
Okay, so let's figure up the people. The waters are
what people nation molten tongue. So they said, the wine
is mixed with what? What? What is what it mixed
with people? Is that what it's talking about? Or is
it mixed with people? Or what's no word for people? Men?
Men's what precepts? Men's precepts are men's sayings. So men's
(21:10):
sayings and policies and customs are now are are being
taught with some doctrine, but are actually dominating and overruling
the plain teachings of the Word of God and the
sound doctrine. So the wine is now mixed with man
(21:31):
sayings and traditions and customs are men. The wine is
mixed with water now, and this is causing what draws.
And therefore, there as the wine is being mixed with water,
that we find that the teachings of the Word of
God is slowly being put down for the exaltation of
men's sayings and men's and men's customs and policies and practices,
(21:56):
and even pagan practices and spiritualistic practices can be brought in.
As the wine is now being mixed with water, and
the traditions of men are constantly coming in, and customs
and practices. And where are these history historically, where did
these customs and practices start coming in at It was
in the councils of Trent. It was in the councils
(22:18):
of Lay of the Sea that they began to It
was the time of the counter Reformation, and the counter
Reformation was the counteract the Protestant teachings of the Bible,
pointing to the papacy as the great.
Speaker 1 (22:35):
What the great the system of.
Speaker 2 (22:39):
The system of antichrists, basically, or the system of a
power that was not in harmony with the Word of God.
Put it that way for you.
Speaker 1 (22:48):
Right right, right, yes, So again I think we're starting
to see the picture of the woman that lost the
silver other things.
Speaker 2 (22:59):
Yes, where does she now?
Speaker 1 (23:01):
Now?
Speaker 2 (23:01):
How now we know she lost it? Right right now?
She had light a candle to find it, right, But
how did she lose it? What happened? We talked about
the Council of Trent, and we talked about the councils
of la to see her. But it was in the
Councils of Trent and that the that the issue of
the Seventh Day Sabbath became, the bea became to be
put law and lore in the council. And then it
(23:24):
was even said that if you want to keep if
you want to honor the Seventh Day Sabbath, you're keeping
j you're following Judaism, or that the Sabbath was for
the Jews. All right, but now why was this soul?
What did Daniel seven twenty five for? Tell?
Speaker 1 (23:39):
By the way, did that Council of Trenton took place
in the New Testament?
Speaker 2 (23:43):
Yeah? Yeah, no no, But what.
Speaker 1 (23:46):
Now the question should be, was taking place due to the.
Speaker 2 (23:48):
Apostolic apostolic air? No, no, it took place in the
Council of the Church and the fifteen hundred. Okay, now
listen carefully, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (23:57):
No, no, I just wanting to clarify. Many people don't
know this. Yes, it was on the time when the
protest were trying to bring a reformation into the popular Church,
but it was impossible. The popular Church, the.
Speaker 2 (24:11):
Public Church was a state church.
Speaker 1 (24:13):
Yeah, a state. By the state, they dominated, not only
the Council, have been dominating practically the whole world on
traditions and the presearch of man.
Speaker 2 (24:24):
Okay, now Daniel seven twenty five college, can you read
that force?
Speaker 3 (24:27):
And he shall speak great words against the most high,
and shall wear out the saints of the most High,
and think to change times and laws, and they shall
be given into his hand until the time and times
and the dividing of time.
Speaker 2 (24:40):
Now, the Bible foretells that the little Horn of Daniel
chapter seven, which is mini scholess point to as the
great Antichrist power, would think to change what times and
laws all right? And at the same time, notice the
Bibles that he would think to do this, because in reality,
nobody can change God's law all right, or his times
of that matter, whatever God has set aside. But now
(25:02):
let's see something. If we go back to our paper
and we look at our twenty eight pages that you
have here. On page fourteen and fifteen of this paper,
he talks about some changes that have taken place over
the centuries, changes that are changes that are very relevant.
And then the times we're now living in when people
are now looking for a day of rest, nation are
(25:27):
engaged in this all right, So we need to look
at this a little bit closer for a moment to
see if if now such. First of all, should man
have arrest according to the scriptures? The answer is yes.
And but should men be forced to rest? The answer
is no. But now should laws be enacted to force
(25:48):
men to rest? The answer is no. Men should have
the right to rest if he wants to or not,
but it should not be something that is prerogative. He
must choose. And if he's going to rest according to
the word of God, he's going to rest on the
day that God set aside. So as we look at
this issue of rest, notice very carefully, let's talk about
(26:08):
it for a moment. Why do we day they got
what dayd God set asie for rest?
Speaker 1 (26:12):
The seventh day? Seven?
Speaker 2 (26:13):
Are you sure about that.
Speaker 1 (26:14):
Of course we can. People are confused, I know, because
dust darkness have come in to the house of a woman. Now,
