Speaker 1 (00:00):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (00:00):
So, Curtis, you sent me a text the other day
and he was like, hey, I just got a seventy
eight dollars check in the mail. Yeah, And I was like,
why are people just and you didn't even know who
it was from.

Speaker 1 (00:11):
No, I ain't know nothing.

Speaker 3 (00:12):
I just saw all the money and I was like, ooh, sweet, okay,
and it's legit and everything.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
And it's legit.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
Yeah, so who's trying to no scam. They didn't ask
for nothing, They asked no gift cars, nothing.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
It was just in the mail a check, and it
was some kind of you know how every now and
then these these class action lawsuits come up, Right, it
was some kind of class action lawsuit that I must
have signed up for.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
I never remember, and.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
You know sometimes this can take years, right, Yeah, you
sign up for it, and five years later you get
a check for three dollars or something.

Speaker 3 (00:43):
And I barely recognized the company's name. I think it
was some kind of like uh. I think they do
like medical testing or something like.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
I remember using them.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
They were like mail in you put your blood whatever
on the strip and then send it back and the
lab analyzes it for you with something. I guess somebody
was mad at them for having their information or something.
I don't really know what. The loss of a belt,
don't care.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
Got money seventy eight bucks, that's right.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
Just ye.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
So years ago you may have pricked yourself and sent
in your information with some blood.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
You mailed that off, that's right.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
Okay, that's weird already, just pricking yourself and sending in
the blood, and then you get seventy eight dollars for
it because somebody sued them.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
Yeah, somebody suiting them for some reason.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
See, I don't get this. I'm I never get this lucky.
It had to be years ago, maybe eight years ago.
There was something with Facebook. Oh you know, there's some
sort of class action lawsuits. So I signed up for it.
I went online, I did all this stuff. It took
me a while, put all the information in there. The
whole time. Sally's like, you're gonna get scammed. That that's

(01:46):
probably it sounds like a scam. Blah blah blah blah blah.
I think I haven't heard a word from them.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
I think I did that one too. So when I
get my check for that one, I'll let you.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Notice that better. Nobody's sending me checks. I want somebody
to send me money, just out to know what's out
of nowhere, just out of nowhere.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
Sometimes it takes a long while. Oh yeah, things can get.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
So you've got seven eight dollars in some sort of
class action lawsuit. I want to know if there's anyone
listening right now who's got a check for more than
a hundred bucks?

Speaker 1 (02:15):
You know, not me?

Speaker 3 (02:17):
Never, never, I don't think I've ever filed though. Yeah,
I've never even tried trust anybody.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
No.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Our bank could call Sally and say, hey, we want
to give you money. You want my account number. Yes,
I'm calling from your bank. Verify your account number. No this,
Sally would hang up on them.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
Click. Somebody claims, I.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
Mean they're calling me. I'm not calling them. I'm just
saying it could be the most legit thing, and Sally
would hang.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Up on them. Yes, that is accurate.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
Anyone listening get more than one hundred bucks in a
class action lawsuit? Wow, And like it just showed up
in your mailbox.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
