nine o'clock.

It was very early, nine o'clock in the morning.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
Yeah, no judgment here.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
They were giving out free booths. We signed up for
this thing that they they've started doing in the last
few years at the Paramount Plus Lounge, and they have
a thing that's like a theme for all these TV shows,
you know, like Star Trek and uh, what's the other one,
Dexter They like Mission Impossible stuff in there. Anyways, they
always give you free drink tickets. Uh. And then so
(00:51):
it was like usually two free drinks and their full
sized drinks. They're not skimping on it. And then they
you know, pass around food and stuff. It's a fun time.
So we started our Oh was that Thursday they over there.
We got real early, no judgment here.
Speaker 1 (01:04):
We drink on the golf course thirty o'clock in the morning.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
My friend found a secret code that you could tell
one of the bartenders to get another free drink. What
it was like, Hey, we're here to nerd out. I
think what's the phrase? And then we got a whole
secret drink. It was a whole thing. It was fun.
Speaker 3 (01:18):
Okay, this I don't understand about comic con is you
said there was like a dexter thing there. Yeah, what
does that have to do with comics or superhero?
Speaker 2 (01:26):
He's kind of superhero. He kills bad people. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:30):
See, I think some shows slide themselves in there.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
Leave it to Sally somehow trying to paint comic con.
Speaker 3 (01:37):
I'm not trying to take it. I just maybe I
just don't understand.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
That has been like a comic con staple for a while.
So now that is back, it's all over the place.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
Yeah, and this season is really good.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
It is.
Speaker 1 (01:46):
Yeah, it's a good season.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
I love it. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
So, but Sally would that's why she can't go to
comic Con. She would go out there and be like, well,
what are you doing here?
Speaker 2 (01:55):
Now?
Speaker 3 (01:55):
I could never go to comic con because I couldn't
stand in line.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
She said, that's it's a lot of standing in the
standing in line mostly you just have to understand that. Yeah,
there's a guy behind me and one of the lines
I was standing in and he was huffing and puffing.
I'm like, dude, what's your ishoe? And he's like, man,
I just hate lines, And I'm like, you are in
the wrong place.
Speaker 3 (02:12):
Why did you come here?
Speaker 2 (02:13):
I wanted to tell him, never come back.
Speaker 3 (02:16):
Yeah, I would not be able to stand in line
all that.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
So you said, you told me you were out there
acting like you had a lot of money.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
Yeah, that's the thing. You go out there and I
spend Usually it's T shirts and now when years past,
it's been enamel pins. That have been my new thing
that I spend a lot of money.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
Enamel pins. Yes, so what do you pin them on
your backpack?
Speaker 2 (02:34):
Some people put them on like corkboards or other things.
But like, yeah, when we were at the Olympics, you
had them.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
Okay, yeah pen trading. This was back in the nineties. Yeah, yeah,
pen trading was a big thing.
Speaker 3 (02:45):
I don't know if he still is at the Olympics,
but we still.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
We still have our pens. Yes, somewhere, but that's kind
of cool. So how much are pens?
Speaker 2 (02:52):
Though? It depends some places that were like twenty bucks,
because it can be kind of like that. And then
there's like the limited ones that you can get. And
then they tricked me and they're like, hey, these are
mystery boxes of the Superman pin. You can get some
rare ones. If you want to buy three, you'll get
one for free. And I'm like, what does sound like
a good deal. I'm rich. I go up to the
girl on the counter. I'm like, girl, I'm rich. You
(03:13):
don't even matter. She's like, it's one hundred and seven bucks.
I'm like, she's like, remember you're rich. And I'm like, okay,
you're right. Oh wow yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
And then you haven't looked at your credit cards.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
It doesn't exist.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
He's just out there spending money, so t shirts, enamel.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
Pins, walking a lot. I did. I think I averaged
about like twenty thousand steps a day.
Speaker 3 (03:33):
Oh wow.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
Oh, and I'm realizing these old bones not holding up
so well anymore. You're getting real tired, real early. Now.
Oh yeah, you get out here.
Speaker 1 (03:44):
There with pot pot. Yeah. He's telling his friends out
there all right, I know it's two o'clock in the afternoon,
but I got to take a nap. Please, I need
to sit out, I need to sit down. Curtis, you're
not rich and you're old. Well, we're glad you had
a good time. We're glad you're you're back, safe and sound.
