Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hi there, Welcome to the Mon Sally Morning Show.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Hello six o'clockers. Thank you for checking in on the
text this morning.

Speaker 1 (00:06):
Okalla.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Kevin checked in early photoc Tom in the l dub,
he says portions of this message have been pre recorded
since it's so damn early.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
Yeah, I agree. And Jules and Delray Beach checking in.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
She is still stuck in a shoulder brace. You know
she had the shoulder operation. She says, she's stuck in
that brace until.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
The first week of August.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
I could not be stuck in any brace right now
because it's so damn hot outside.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
That's a good idea. Curtis did all weekend, all week sure,
so that means you must have been preparing to go
to Comic Con. Wasn't preparing nothing? I mean I started
kind of yesterday.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
I did a bunch of laundry.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
But but you're not totally ready. Oh no, not at all.
Leave on Wednesday.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
So you got a bunch of stuff to do before
you leave for Comic Con.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
You gotta try this. Have you heard about the getter done.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
Parties of the forcing parties? What now the forcing parties?
The forcing Yeah, it's a new trend. I guess it's
where you get your friends together. I don't have any
and yes, all right, well you're done. Then what you
get your friends together and you hold each other accountable
to do the things that you've been putting off. Like, uh,

(01:23):
let's say it's a doctor's appointment. Yeah, so you say, okay,
make your doctor's appointment, and then I'll help you clean
out your inbox or whatever. And you just kind of
help each other get stuff done. And it's called a
forcing party or a get or done party. Let's say, like,
I see I need to get my toilet fixed. I
still haven't fixed that toilet. Yeah, in the guest bathroom.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
I think it fixed itself. I don't know, but see
I still probably need to replace the parts.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
And so like if I had you over and some
other friends over, I could say, help me fix this toilet,
or help me paint these I help you fix the
toilet now.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
Yeah, then I can help you do something. It's called
a get or done because I would just get mad
at my friends. I would just be like, shut up,
shut up, are you here?

Speaker 2 (02:09):
Oh my gosh, yeah, you guys go home a little
ray of sunshine.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
I'm just being honest. I don't like. I would not
like that. I would not like a friend telling me
what to do, but then you get it done, so.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
Necessarily there's no reason I could say, you know, Nope,
you don't understand.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Why don't you guys understand I don't understand this at all. No,
because no, because it sounds like I'm gona end up
in jail, and then how am I going to get
anything done when I'm locked up for friends, I wouldn't
get that.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
I do not understand how you guys don't see how
this is helpful and getting stuff done. Well, it seems
like the old like you know, when somebody's in the
kitchen trying to help you out, and it's just like
a whole nuisance.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
Like it's like that, but like magnify.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Okay, all right, So you don't want your friends coming
over telling you what to do and then you're gonna
turn around and tell them or just help them, not tell.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
I want my friends to come over with a bottle
of wine in their hand.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
That's all I expect, all right, And then you want
them to stay out of the way in the kitchen
just like me.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
Yes, I can't.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
I'd barely even go into the kitchen. Now I get
nervous when I have to go Sally's in there because
she is in the one space that I always need
to get into, the trash can if I need to
throw something away. Now I'm to the point that where
I will just walk across the house and throw it
in thee in the garbage. Yeah, I'll go out in
the garage toss it in, just to stay out of
her way. That's a good idea, because I know you're

(03:29):
annoyed with me being in anywhere near the kitchen pretty much.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
All right, So, uh well.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
The get her done forcing parties have been pooh pooed
you guys. You guys just seem hostile. Just have your
friends over and yell at them. Hey, I'll do what
I wanted to.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Trying to have no intervention because I.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
Did not see that going that way at all. All right, Well,
we're going to start things off in the six o'clock
Comedy Club. Speaking of getting stuff done, Todd Berry is
talking about getting organized, smoothing a new apartment.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
Hired a professional home organizer. She was tough. She wanted
me to throw stuff out. I was like, nice, Try
that's not organizing. That is throwing stuff out. I saw
a home organizer on TV make this suggestion. She said,

(04:29):
take all the clothes in your closet, line them up
in the same direction. When you take something out to
use it, put it back in the opposite direction, and
at the end of the year, only keep what's in
the opposite direction.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Anyone who can follow through on that system

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Is already the world's most organized person.
