I love it when everyday people become heroes. This happened
in Iowa. Three construction workers used a trampoline to save
a kid from a house fire. They were working nearby
and they noticed that a house had caught on fire,
so all three of them ran over there to see
what they could do to help. They also save two
other people. So here is one of the rescuers. His

name is John Lewis.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
When you hear a child in harm's way, you know, yeah,
he'll do what you gotta do. So I grab a
trampoline and me and another friend took and scooted it
over to the window and we coached him down and
get him to jump. So he jumped out of the
window onto the trampoline, and once he hit the trampoline,
I caught him and got him away from the building,
and we knew everyone was out at that point.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
What quick thinking because the kids way up there and
he's scared, you know, he's trapped, and they and they
bring the trampoline and he jumps on it.

That's fantastic.

Like I mentioned, they also save two other people and
everybody survived that nire.
