Speaker 1 (00:00):
On Sally Morning Show. I'm tired this morning, I'm exhausted.
But this woman, this gen Z woman, has got me
all fired up.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Oh man.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
She posted on TikTok this video of her walking out
of the door of a hotel and into the parking lot,
with the tagline older generations, this is how you check
out of a hotel. You just walk out. The front
desk doesn't need to need you to tell them you're
checking out, and they don't need you to hand them
your room key.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
Oh she sounds like a peach. Yeah, but what do
you care? What do you care if I go to
the front desk. She thinks she's giving you all the
life eggs.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
Some people in the comments say it's rude not to
check out at the front desk.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
I think it's rude to take the key, or.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
Yeah, you're supposed to leave your key.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
She didn't say. I said it's rude to take the key.
I don't think it's the right thing to do. Well,
what if they have put your name on it? Someplaces
they put your name on it. That's different on your key. Yeah,
so it's like a souvenir. I guess it is meant
to be. I would ask.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
I would ask before I walked out with then that's talking, yeah,
because see.

Speaker 4 (01:08):
You're going to the desk.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
Yeah, one triple eight four one five one oh five five.
This is Danielle in West Palm Beach.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
So I work at a hotel and if you don't
stop at the front desk, it is rude because then
we just have to wait until eleven o'clock and guess
that you're not in your room and go in and
maybe you're still in there and just trying to get
one over on us or not. And the keys, we
absolutely do want those keys returns because they are not free.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
Yeah, pay for those yeah see yeah, all right in
the room or if there's a drop off or something
looking for them.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
Danielle's community in the Mole community.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Our key drop off is at the front desk.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Yeah yeah, you might as well stop.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
You heard it from a professional in the business. Go
to the front desk. I'm gonna use that out'll they'll
leave the key.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
Thank you, Danielle. Hey, bye bye, him going Sally show.

Speaker 4 (02:04):
Who's this Hi, Sally, It's Tracy from Wellington. How are you?

Speaker 3 (02:07):
We're good, Tracy.

Speaker 4 (02:09):
I am chiming in about the hotel thing you guys
are just talking about. We actually probably stay in a
hotel like every couple of months because we travel to
tell Happy to see our daughter and grandkids. We always
go up and check out. I know we're a little
bit older, but it's you know, I think we've come
away with not wanting to interact with people. And I

(02:32):
I mean, I like to talk to people.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
So yeah, see, good for you. Tracy's a good person.
There's nothing wrong with that. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
Well, and whoever the person on TikTok, you know, they
would probably be the first one to be at the
desk complaining about something. Yeah. You know, people like that,
they don't have a problem complaining when they want something.
But you can't take two seconds just to say have
a great day and right.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
Plus, I'm gonna get my receipt. I want to see
what's on my bill and all that stuff. I want
my heart copy printed receipts.

Speaker 4 (03:02):
Well, they do, yeah, that's there's a lot of time
we use points, so they'll email you your receipts. Okay,
I don't know. I just feel like we just we
don't want to talk to people anymore. We do self checkout,
we do all this stuff.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
Yeah, I see where you're coming from. Well, thank you
Tracy for the phone call.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
I'm old school like Humo.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
Thank you the more unity in my community.

Speaker 4 (03:23):
Have a great day, guys, you too, by bye.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
Thanks Bike got a text from Wellington John two. He
says he goes to the desk and gets his receipt
as well, so we don't need no gen z Ucci
mama telling us how to check out of a hotel.
