Speaker 1 (00:00):
On the show this morning, we're talking about the most
expensive thing you've seen someone buy, or maybe you bought
it and it never gets used. We started things off
with a boat. People buy boats and they use them
like two or three times, and they realize that that's
a lot of work or whatever, and they just sit
there and RV's motor homes, campers, you know.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
Now.
Speaker 1 (00:25):
I got a text from my buddy John and he says, uh,
not me, but I have a friend who has a Lamborghini.
He's had it for five years and has three hundred
miles on it. I'd be driving that thing everywhere.
Speaker 3 (00:40):
You would not. Is that unusual for people that liked.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
Cars like the Well some people collect cars, they just
sit there. Yeah, but some people you know, actually drive them. Now,
he said he would drive that thing everywhere if he
had one, but.
Speaker 3 (00:55):
You would not.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
I know, you might drive it once a week and.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
Then Wellington John says, not as expensive as those other toys.
But my friends and I were talking about how many
times we used one of those bread makers after we
bought it. Yeah, and then it sits in a closet
because you realize that's a lot of work or whatever.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
Same thing back in the day with ice cream makers.
Oh yeah, you had to turn it my hands. Oh
my god, you had to turn it or you took
to turning.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
I'm not doing that. On our Facebook page, Kim says,
my husband has an industrial sized cry cut. He had
the idea that he was going to make road signs,
bulletin boards, banners, et cetera. It now is housed on
the side of our bed and holds his clothes.
Speaker 3 (01:41):
All right, interesting decorating there.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
Right, And then somebody said that they, Oh, my husband
bought a boat. We were going to fix it up.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
Been in the driveway for like six years.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 3 (01:54):
Yeah, that would drive me. Now they don't even use it.
Dana says she has some designer purses that she's bought
and only used a few times. Yeah, that's on this
list here.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
Really pricey accessories, like a blingy watch or like an
expensive handbag.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
Yeah, And actually Roland said he has a Rolex. You
can just send that to the radio station. I'll be
more I'll wear it for you. I'll be more than
happy to wear that for you.
Speaker 3 (02:22):
Wear it. How about this a grand piano? Oh, people
say keyboards here?
Speaker 1 (02:28):
Yeah, my parents bought me a keyboard I think in
nineteen eighty and I haven't played it since nineteen eighty.
Speaker 3 (02:36):
I played it a couple of times and went right
under my bed, and it seems to be a popular
place for those keyboard That's.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
Where Ashley's is eventually ended up in a garage sale. Yeah,
didn't Dana say she still has the one that her
parents bought her. Uh huh. They bought it in nineteen
eighty six. She hasn't played it since nineteen eighty seven
in a closet. Oh gosh, I love this topic.
