Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, Dragon Jeday here, Sorry about there not being more
award winners in this week's collection of taxpayer relief shots.
When I was compiling them, there were three or four
that looked very promising to start with, but they went
sideways when the thugs either got away or gained the
upper hand over his intended victim while they were struggling
to chamber around into their gun, which they kept loaded
but with an empty chamber.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
Caution, you were about to experience the taxpayer relief shot
segment on the situation with Michael Brown. Caution, you are
about to experience the taxpayer relief shot segment on the
situation with Michael Brown. We do not necessarily relish the
death of any criminal, but we do celebrate our god
given and constitutional right to self defense in the event
(00:43):
that the criminal becomes d RT. The taxpayers spared the
cost of public defenders, court costs, incarceration, and continued parole supervision.
As the sheriff of Santa Rosa County, Florida says, insert
a Grady of Polk County says insert audio here. You
(01:05):
have been warned listen at your own risks.
Speaker 3 (01:09):
Mike Uh we call him taxpayer relief shots, because when
we believe in the Second Amendment, but beyond that, I
think more importantly, we believe in the right of self defense,
a god given natural right that you have a right
to defend yourself, your family, and your property from thugs
(01:30):
that would take away your life or the life of
your friends or family and or your property. And why
do we call them taxpayer relief shots?
Speaker 4 (01:37):
Because somebody's breaking in your house here more than welcome
to shoot him. In Centera's accounting, we prefer that you do. Actually,
hopefully you'll save the taxpayers money.
Speaker 3 (01:45):
Mean taxpayer relief shots.
Speaker 5 (01:47):
Or I would highly suggest that if a looter breaks
into your home, comes into your home while you're there
to steal stuff, that you take your.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
Gun and you shoot him.
Speaker 5 (01:58):
You shoot him so that he looks like grated cheese,
because you know what, that's one load that won't break
into anyone else's home.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
Or my favorite, I would.
Speaker 5 (02:09):
Highly suggest that if a looterer breaks into your home, comes.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
Into your home to double click there, Michael.
Speaker 3 (02:17):
I would tell them your life. You probably, well, this
is why you should be doing.
Speaker 6 (02:21):
If you took a week off, so I know it's
pretty difficult for you, but it's why you should be
doing them.
Speaker 3 (02:25):
We believe in you. Do you think I can do it?
Speaker 6 (02:30):
It's like you double click.
Speaker 3 (02:34):
Maybe we had better computers and a mouse that worked
that helped.
Speaker 7 (02:40):
I would tell them if you I would tell them,
if I would tell them, if you value your life,
you probably shouldn't do that in Polk County because the.
Speaker 3 (02:48):
People of Polk County like guns. They have guns.
Speaker 7 (02:51):
I encourage them to own guns, and they're going to
be in their homes tonight with their guns loaded. And
if you try to break into their homes to steal
to set fires, I'm highly recommending they blow you back
out of the house with your guns. So leave the
community alone.
Speaker 3 (03:05):
So leave them alone. So Dragon saved one from last week.
H mom sues the popo who shot and killed her
wanted fellon son. Is this one you're talking about?
Speaker 8 (03:17):
Yep?
Speaker 3 (03:17):
Okay, here we go.
Speaker 9 (03:19):
And more big news we're learning about today. The local
mom finding a wrongful death lawsuit against the San Antonio
police officer. Her son adrians and Martin was shot dead
by an officer in July twenty twenty three, and bodycam
footage shows him running from police. Can spai'serl star of
Meyer shares with us. What is in that lawsuit?
Speaker 10 (03:39):
The attorney's representing Raquels and Martin claimed excessive deadly force
was used on her son, Adrian when he was running
from police with a gun in his hand.
Speaker 11 (03:48):
Adrian, let me see, he's not good.
Speaker 3 (03:51):
He's not a god. He's not a god.
Speaker 10 (03:53):
This is police body camera footage what happened moments before
San Martin's life was taken. The shooting happened on July sixteen,
twenty twenty three, when police got the tip San Martin
was at a Northeast Side hotel.
Speaker 12 (04:06):
This individual was wanted on multiple felony warrants. In the
most recent outstanding warrants fell in a possession of firearm, assault,
family violence, evading arrest, unauthorized used to a vehicle, two
agg assault warrans with a deadly weapon.
Speaker 10 (04:21):
After surveilling San Martin for a few hours, a detective
tried to make an arrest, but he ran away gun
in hand. San Martin was running across the access road
where another patrol car was in front of him. Officer
Joseph Warren was in the driver's seat and fired at
(04:41):
San Martin. Saint Martin was shot in the head and
died after being taken to a local hospital. He was
thirty years old. Off the body camera footage took up
nearly four hours of video.
Speaker 13 (04:52):
I don't think they should have rushed him. Everybody guns
out the way that they did. He wasn't the perfect
law binding and outstanding citizen. Despite everything, he was a
great human being. He had a great heart.
Speaker 10 (05:04):
In the lawsuit, attorneys argue san Martin never pointed his
gun at an officer. The lawsuit also alleges to officers
running after San Martin didn't fire their guns and that
warrant's actions didn't warrant deadly force to claim damages. This
case will go before a jury. Carl sdemaier Ten's five.
Speaker 9 (05:24):
And just hours ago, we got a response to this
lawsuit from the city attorney's office. They said, quote, the
City of San Antonio has not been.
Speaker 11 (05:32):
Served with this lawsuit.
Speaker 9 (05:34):
We will review the allegations made, research the facts of
the case, and address accordingly party.
Speaker 3 (05:41):
He just wants to play, this is my answer.
Speaker 14 (05:44):
His sister, Rochelle acknowledged his actions but criticized the employee's response, stating, yes,
he was robbing them, but that clerk shouldn't have shot him.
Speaker 11 (05:51):
They should have called the police.
Speaker 1 (05:55):
Loser.
Speaker 3 (05:56):
So what do you think? My response is, what do
you think? I'm down?
Speaker 6 (06:00):
Well, myself of listeners were very concerned as to what
excessive deadly force really meant, as well as the laundry
list of charges that were brought upon this kid in
the past, as well as that was it the mother.
He's a good boy, he has good character, really, so
we're just getting curiously.
Speaker 3 (06:19):
So listen, First, he failed to comply with the officer's commands.
He's wanted on several felonies, several of which, as I recall,
had to do with the unlawful possession or use of weapons.
And then when he's told to stop, he doesn't follow
the command and he takes off running with the gun
(06:41):
in his hand. Yeah, I think they're absolutely justified, absolutely justified.
I and that's not seeing the I haven't seen the
body camp. All I've heard is this audio. Based on
the audio, I think that they're justified because they have
a reasonable fear of him, based on his past lawful
activities with guns. His failure. You got that to begin with.
(07:05):
Then you have the failure to follow the command, and
now he is trying to escape while carrying a gun.
At any moment he can fire is either the car
that's in front of him, or he can turn and
fire at the cop that are behind him. And in
terms of excessive force, that is the only force that
what running. They'll continue to run as they were, They
(07:28):
would continue to chase him if he continues to fall,
if he continues to not follow the commands, they still
run the risk. At any moment, he could also, without
even turning around, just turn his hand behind him and
just start firing randomly and hit anybody. So I think
it was absolutely justified. That was easier than I thought.
(07:49):
Let's see, let's go to the award winners. Dollar General Store.
I love it when it involves a Dollar General store.
Speaker 15 (08:01):
Well, new tonight, the man who shot and killed a
Dollar General.
Speaker 3 (08:03):
What's kind of an interesting little tune to start out with.
Speaker 15 (08:09):
Well, new tonight, the man who shot and killed a
Dollar General robbery suspect last month and Hickory Hill will
not face any charges.
Speaker 3 (08:17):
What's better than a Dollar General store in a place
called Hickory Hill. That's America right there, and it involves
a gun.
Speaker 15 (08:25):
Now, the Shelby County District Attorney's Office made that announcement
this afternoon. Police say last Tuesday, two robbers came into
the Hickory Hill Dollar General on Winchester and tried to
rob a store clerk at gunpoint. The other worker shot
one of the robbers, who later died at the hospital. Now,
after reviewing surveillance footage of the incident, the DA's office
(08:47):
says the workers' actions were justified as self defense.
Speaker 3 (08:52):
Now this one, I don't know. I mean two robbers,
I mean again, why didn't they just.
Speaker 14 (08:59):
His sister was acknowledged his actions, but criticized the employee's response, stating, yes,
he was robbing them, but that clerk shouldn't have shot him.
They should have called the police.
Speaker 3 (09:08):
See another award winner. A homeowner shoots and kills Seriously, Okay,
here we go by breaking.
Speaker 11 (09:20):
A homeowner shoots and kills an intruder.
Speaker 16 (09:23):
Please say the father had no choice because he and
his family were in danger. This all happened in Guthrie.
Casey is Michael sidon Live right now with late breaking details.
Speaker 6 (09:31):
Michael Well.
Speaker 17 (09:33):
Investigators described this neighborhood as quiet and crime free, but last.
Speaker 3 (09:37):
Night they're always quiet and crime free.
Speaker 17 (09:41):
Right, it was anything but police tell me that a
naked man broke into the house, leaving the homeowner with.
Speaker 11 (09:47):
No choice but to shoot.
Speaker 3 (09:49):
Yeah, dragon, here you are. Here, you are the naked
man breaks into a house, get shot, But yet you
come back to.
Speaker 11 (09:57):
Work as you do.
Speaker 18 (10:01):
Someone just stroke into my house and someone and my
husband had to hear them.
Speaker 17 (10:05):
On these newly released nine to one one calls, you
can hear several tense moments from inside this Guthrie home.
Speaker 18 (10:12):
Oh my god, we heard the noise and that I
woke up and he grabbed the gun and he yelled
at the man told him to get out before he
shot him.
Speaker 17 (10:28):
It was just after midnight when police rushed to this
home on Walnut Court. When officers arrived, they found a
husband and his wife, their two young children, and a body.
Speaker 19 (10:38):
We found a deceased individual in his late forties in
the homeowner's kitchen.
Speaker 11 (10:45):
The man was completely nude.
Speaker 17 (10:47):
Moments before the shooting, a neighbor heard something suspicious and
called for help.
Speaker 20 (10:52):
Right out my back door the house right behind me.
There's somebody banged loudly on the back door, like there, can.
Speaker 10 (11:02):
You hear it.
Speaker 17 (11:03):
This is still with ongoing investigation, but police say it
appears the homeowner acted in self defense and right now
investigators are trying to notify the next of ken. That's
why they won't tell us the intruder's name. But they
did say he was a man in his late forties
who lived in the neighborhood and had some mental issues.
(11:24):
Reporting Live Tonight in Guthrie, Michael Side.
Speaker 11 (11:27):
And Koco Eyewitness.
Speaker 16 (11:28):
News five, Michael thank you investigators, saying the back door
had significant damage. They also so we don't know at
this point if the intruder was using drugs or alcohol.
Speaker 3 (11:38):
Of course, it's Oklahoma, so it should be a self
defense because they don't mess around in Oklahoma. I'm lik
in Texas and he's crazy, known to be crazy, and
he's neked in your kitchen. Yeah, he's been, and he's
broke in yeah, broken in Yeah. I think so. Another
award winner homeowner shoots and kills Wow. I Before I
(12:00):
even play this one, I would like for all of
the Democrat a hole members of the Colorado Pollit Bureau
who are really concerned about a semi automatic, you know,
handgun or long gun that can hold more than ten rounds.
You want to get rid of that. Listen to this,
you jerks welcome back.
Speaker 16 (12:22):
A saund eleven minutes after six developing right now, one
person has been killed following a shooting near the airport.
Speaker 21 (12:28):
Stopping at the wood Hollow apartments on Sahara and near
at San Pedro.
Speaker 22 (12:32):
And that's where we find our Sylvia rincom this morning
with more.
Speaker 19 (12:36):
We just got an update moments ago. We have learned
from investigators that that were three intruders.
Speaker 3 (12:42):
Three intruders. Let's see ten rounds divided by three is
three point one, three and a third three and a
third rounds. You gotta be a damn good shot.
Speaker 11 (12:56):
Yep, of them is dead.
Speaker 19 (12:58):
The other two are still loose. Now we have also
learned that the people inside there was about six a man,
a woman, and four small children under the age of ten.
They tell us that it was about three o'clock in
the morning when these intruders forced their way into this
apartment up there at the top of the second floor.
And we are also learning that those intruders had handguns
(13:21):
on them and were threatening the family. They were in
the process of taking things when one of them pinned
down of the man who was inside. At one point
that man got loose, grabbed his own handgun and started
shooting at the intruders. One of them is dead here
at the scene. The others who took off. Police are
currently looking for those individuals. It's not clear exactly what
(13:43):
they were taking, they said, though it is obvious that
they were taking items from inside that home. Fortunately, though
the children and the two adults were not injured, this
is still an ongoing investigation and this is still a
developing scene. Reporting live on the city's north side, Saverenclog
News Force San Antotino.
Speaker 3 (14:02):
Can you imagine if the other two had not run
and they engaged in a gun battle and you lived
in Colorado and all you could have were ten rounds. Yeah,
that's what the idiots of the Pulit Bureau want to
do to us. Remember this story when the governor signs
that bill. All right, let's go to another award winner.
Speaker 23 (14:22):
A carjacking Golly new at six Hardyville Police digging into
a deadly shooting from a Sunday night, saying it all
started with an attempted carjacking. Officers responded around nine point
thirty pm to reports of a man trying to pull
someone from their car at gunpoint near White Hardy Boulevard.
(14:42):
Police found a two men, one with gunshot wounds that
later died. Detectives believe the man who died was targeting
people for armed assaults when he encountered a legally armed
citizen who fired in self defense. The other person was
questioned and really, boom.
Speaker 3 (15:01):
That's a pretty good one. Actually, that's that's very good.
All right, another award winner. This is this different? We
get another Dollar General store. I just suggest, based on
today's X pay release shots, you go to the Dollar
General store. Be sure and take your your gun.
Speaker 23 (15:24):
Thursday night, the big story is breaking news.
Speaker 20 (15:26):
An attempt at robbery turned deadly inside a North Philadelphia store.
Speaker 11 (15:30):
Yeah please say.
Speaker 14 (15:31):
A suspect was shot and killed when someone pulled out
a gun and fired the weapon.
Speaker 11 (15:35):
Actually, his reporter Annie McCormick.
Speaker 6 (15:37):
Live at the Dollar General at ninth and Gerard with
these breaking details.
Speaker 3 (15:41):
Andy, what are you learning about this?
Speaker 11 (15:44):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (15:44):
Great?
Speaker 24 (15:45):
Sorry, This all happened just after eight thirty tonight inside
of this Dollar General at ninth and Gerard. What we
know right now police are still on the scene. However,
several people had been taken down to homicide. They tell
us that a man came into the store looked like
a customer, but ordered the cashier to empty the register
and brandis what looked like a gun. At that point,
(16:07):
the cashier signaled to the manager of the store that
something was wrong.
Speaker 11 (16:11):
The manager actually.
Speaker 24 (16:12):
Approached that customer who was trying to rob the store
to try to talk to the customer.
Speaker 11 (16:17):
But then again.
Speaker 24 (16:18):
Police say that that customer showed the gun what looked
like a gun and ordered the cashier again to empty
the register. That is when the manager, who was licensed
to carrie, pulled out his gun. We talked to police
a short time ago.
Speaker 25 (16:33):
At that point, the manager of this store, who was
licensed to carry, pulled out a gun and shot the
suspect once in the head. Two shots were fired. We
know at least one struck fee suspect in the head.
Were uncertain if he was struck once or twice.
Speaker 24 (16:53):
And again believe still remained on the scene.
Speaker 26 (16:55):
They tell us that the police were called.
Speaker 24 (16:57):
Medics and police arrived at the same time and he
was pronounced dead. The suspect was pronounced dead inside of
the store right now. They're still in there. You can
actually see in some of that video what the suspect
was holding at the time. The gun that he said
was a gun that right now they're saying, appears to
not have been a gun. But at this point, right
(17:18):
now everyone is at homicide that they are interviewing, and
at this point they say that they do not think
that there will be any charges against the manager because
again the manager was licensed to carry. For now, reporting
live in North Philadelphia, Annie McCormick for Action News at
ten on PHL seventeen.
Speaker 3 (17:34):
Wow, whether it was a gun or not doesn't make
any difference, because he was attempting to intimidate and attempting
to convince somebody that it was a gun. So the
acted accordingly. Let's see, this is short. We'll do this
real quickly. Not yet fatal, all right.
Speaker 11 (17:52):
His sister Rochelle.
Speaker 3 (17:55):
To double click there, Michael, thank you.
Speaker 20 (17:57):
Shortly after midnight Saturday, ish Wort Police Chief John Barber
says a woman heard someone outside her case on trace home,
woke up her husband. Then they heard glass in a
front window break.
Speaker 27 (18:09):
This seventeen year old juvenile forcibly enters into this residence.
Speaker 3 (18:13):
And what do you think happens that's next?
Speaker 1 (18:27):
Hey, Michael and Dragon, I got a great idea.
Speaker 11 (18:30):
Why don't we just make killing people illegal? That would
solve everything.
Speaker 1 (18:35):
Then we wouldn't have to worry about guns and knives
and all this stuff.
Speaker 10 (18:40):
Isn't that genius?
Speaker 1 (18:41):
Wait a minute, if it already is illegal, crap.
Speaker 28 (18:44):
Caution you about to experience the text payer relief shut
segment on the situation with Michael Brown. Wetend not necessarily
relish the death of the criminal, but we do celebrate
the god given and constitutional right to self defense and
saving the text the expense of three huts and a
cort So what all you punks out there, If you're
(19:06):
thinking about breaking into someone's home, that person may have
a forty four magnum which is the most powerful hanging
in the world, and will blow you clean back out
the door. Still thinking about breaking the law, then you
have to ask yourself this question, Do I feel lucky?
Speaker 3 (19:23):
Do you? Do you? We call them taxpayer relief shops because.
Speaker 4 (19:28):
If somebody's breaking in your house here more than welcome
to shoot them. In Centai's accounting, we prefer that you do. Actually,
hopefully you'll save the taxpayers money.
Speaker 3 (19:36):
And we've got one more award winner that we get.
It's not yet fatal, but let's get it started again.
Speaker 20 (19:41):
Here we go, shortly after midnight Saturday, Spanish work please.
Chief John Barber says a woman heard someone outside her
case on Trace Hall, woke up her husband. Then they
heard glass in a front window break.
Speaker 27 (19:54):
This seventeen year old juvenile forcibly enters into this residence
where he's confronted by this father who's got a wife
and three kids in his house.
Speaker 20 (20:02):
Barbara says the father, who appeared to be acting in
self defense, fired one shot with a pistol and hit
the seventeen year old in the upper abdomen.
Speaker 27 (20:10):
There is somebody in their residence when we're middle of
the night, unknown to them.
Speaker 3 (20:14):
There's a reasonable belief then for him that there's a
expectation that somebody can be harmed in his family.
Speaker 20 (20:20):
The teen was flown to a university hospital, where Barbara
says he is in serious condition. Barbara says the seventeen
year old doesn't live in the Spanish Forest States neighborhood
where the shooting occurred, but is a Baldwin County resident.
Speaker 27 (20:31):
The seventeen year old juvenile was at a residence on
Caeson Trace earlier in the night with some of his friends.
Is our belief that the juvenile suspect was under the influence,
but substance.
Speaker 3 (20:43):
When this actually occurred.
Speaker 20 (20:45):
Barbara says the teen was by himself and at this
point what his motives were aren't clear.
Speaker 27 (20:50):
We don't understand what he is his intent might have been.
We just know that, you know, based on the fiscal
evidence on the scene, the entry appears to be the
broken glass area. He did make entry into the house.
Speaker 3 (21:04):
Yeah, that seems to be pretty good evidence to me.
All right, let's see moving on now from award winners
to the has beens, the runner ups. These are all popos. Oh,
somebody killed his girlfriend. Let's see, here we go.
Speaker 26 (21:25):
In Santa Ana, police released this bodycam footage and helicopter
video from a deadly police shooting involving a murder suspect
back on February first.
Speaker 3 (21:44):
Wow, that TV station in Santa Anna really wants the sound.
Speaker 26 (21:50):
Police say they got a call from Mena Feed police
for help in finding forty five year old Jose Alfonso Velaskez,
who they believe shot and killed his girlfriend. Cell phone
showed his location in Santa Ana. When officers found the
suspect's car, they say he took off before driving to
the end of the Newport Beach Pier. Officers say he
(22:10):
got out of the car and he was holding a gun.
That's when they opened fire. That lask has died in
that confrontation.
Speaker 3 (22:17):
All right, umm oh, these are always difficult ones.
Speaker 16 (22:26):
Breaking news stories this morning on Action News Jacks.
Speaker 11 (22:29):
All three are involving shootings.
Speaker 29 (22:31):
The first scene, we want to take you two where
police are investigating an armed suicide attempt turned into an
officer shooting on a woman on the north side. Want
to warn you the details of the shooting might be
disturbing to hear.
Speaker 11 (22:45):
Action News Jacks.
Speaker 29 (22:45):
Finn Carlin is live in the neighborhood where this happened
on Moose Road off New Berlin Road, and Finn police
say six officers were involved.
Speaker 30 (22:56):
Yeah, Phil Chandler, six officers were involved in the shooting.
Speaker 11 (22:59):
Just like mentioned, there was a.
Speaker 30 (23:00):
Lot that happened leading up to the shooting, So I
want to go ahead and get into some.
Speaker 11 (23:04):
Of those details with you.
Speaker 30 (23:06):
Firstly, when we got here, we saw about two or
so police cruisers that we heard they just pulled away
in the last two minutes right before we went on
here here away from this house right behind me on
Moose Road here. But we're told that this all happened
right at around eleven o'clock last night, there was a
husband inside of a home here, went into his garage,
saw his wife inside of a car with a towel
(23:29):
over her head when he tried opening the door here,
and you're getting some video here of some of the
police that were here earlier this morning. But as I
was mentioning, husband walks into the garage, sees his wife
inside of that car with a towel over her head,
and then as soon as he tries opening the door,
police say that she then closed it and then pointed
a gun at her husband. That's the point where the
(23:50):
husband walked back inside of the home and then saw
his wife, police say, walk across the street sit on
a bench still with that same gun after getting out
of that car that she was in inside of the garage.
That's when the husband called police were told and then
six officers corresponded to this area of moose Wrote And
when that happened, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says that this
(24:11):
woman started firing at the officers that responded.
Speaker 3 (24:14):
And then, so when I said earlier, because I haven't
heard these and that whenever it's a suicide victim, that's
a difficult situation. No, not here. She immediately started firing
at the cops. Game over.
Speaker 11 (24:29):
You're not looking in that video anymore. You're back here
with me.
Speaker 30 (24:32):
And after that happened, we're told that the sixth officers
started firing back at that woman, shot her multiple times.
Speaker 11 (24:40):
None of the six.
Speaker 30 (24:40):
Officers involved in this were hit by any of the
shots that were fired by that woman. But we're told
that woman was then treated, then taken to the hospital,
and we are still working to learn any updates on
her condition right now. But the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is
still misgating this alongside the State Attorney's office, and Action
News Jacks is still going to be out here continuing
(25:01):
to follow this investigation, bring you any other updates that
we've learned right now. This woman involved here has not
yet been named. Some of the officers have been named.
We're working on getting some of those for you here.
But Action Jacks will keep following this investigation, bringing the
latest here on Action Jackson Air and online.
Speaker 3 (25:17):
All Right, another popo shooting, uh somebody with the gun.
Speaker 31 (25:23):
Tonight, new information in a deadly police shooting in Milwaukee
over the weekend. The medical examiner identified The man who
died as Anthony Virginia. Police said he would not drop
a gun he was holding near thirty seventh in Lancaster.
That site has just blocks from where police got a
report of a gunman shooting at someone.
Speaker 11 (25:38):
The officer who killed Virginia.
Speaker 31 (25:39):
Is on administrative lee with his routine in police shootings.
Speaker 3 (25:43):
Twenty second to tell you all you need to know.
Right there another popo shooting, Well, this would present present
a little bit of a challenge. All right.
Speaker 29 (25:54):
Now to our second breaking news story this afternoon. In
the last forty five minutes, we've learned a JSO officer
in the hospital after being shot by a man he
pulled over minutes earlier. Police say the suspect is dead
after the officer returned fire actually used. Jackson Carlin is
live near where police say that shooting happened on Trout
River Road and Rebault Avenue and finn Police say this
(26:15):
suspect had a bulletproof vest on when he was pulled over.
Speaker 11 (26:22):
Yeah, Phil, it's something to you.
Speaker 30 (26:23):
Heriff tk Waters, before you just heard him here, was
speaking to us about earlier over here on the north Side.
He called it very unusual that this man was wearing
a bulletproof vest. After that officer had pulled him over,
he had opened up his door. The officer asked him
to stay inside the car, but then he turned around
and shot.
Speaker 11 (26:40):
Now where I am right now.
Speaker 30 (26:42):
We're about a block north of the original address that
we were given by police when they were first telling
us that there was a police activity in this area.
I want to step out of the way here because
if you look a little bit further down the road,
you'll see some police units that are down the road.
Speaker 11 (26:57):
Here there's a police.
Speaker 30 (26:58):
Unit and then a black look it looks like a
black sedan, and a driveway. There are some officers saying
there we believe that is the driveway where that officer
had pulled over this man who then had shot him
while wearing that bulletproof vest. Not only did police say
he was wearing a bulletproof vest, but also had two guns,
a rifle and a pistol, using one of them police
having confirmed which one he used, but using one of
(27:20):
them to shoot Officer ac Balding in the foot where told.
The officer then shot back and killed that man as
he was still sitting in the car. Their Officer Balding
was taken to the hospital. We are told that he
is going to recover and sheriff for waters when he
was speaking to us earlier, says police are still looking
into why exactly the officer Balding pulled over that man
(27:41):
who shot him, but believes the officer responded just as
he should have.
Speaker 24 (27:46):
He was doing what he's expected to do by the
citizens of this community.
Speaker 3 (27:50):
He shouldn't be shot at for that well, because he
was shot at.
Speaker 11 (27:53):
He returned fire and was able to eliminate the dread.
Speaker 24 (27:56):
Now that person cannot be a threat to anyone else.
Speaker 3 (28:00):
He's done.
Speaker 30 (28:05):
Yeah, you're getting in another live look here where we
believe that that officer had pulled over that man. I
do want to make a quick correction earlier, I said
Ac Balding. The officer's name is Ac Golding, Golding beginning
with AG instead of a B.
Speaker 11 (28:18):
You want to make a quick correction there.
Speaker 30 (28:20):
We are told that the man who shot officer Golding
has not yet been identified. We are told this is
the first time the officer Golding has been involved in
a shooting, but police say this is the fourth officer
involved shooting this year. This is the second one that's
happened today and action News Jack's records show this is
