Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to tax relief Friday.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
On the situation with Michael Brown, where the bad guys
pronouns are changed to they and were.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
Caution, you are about to experience the tax payer relief
shot segment on the situation with Michael Brown. Caution, you
are about to experience the taxpayer relief shot segment on
the situation with Michael Brown. We do not necessarily relish
the death of any criminal, but we do celebrate our
god given and constitutional right to self defense. In the

(00:29):
event that the criminal becomes drt. The taxpayers spared the
cost of public defenders, court costs, incarceration, and continued parole supervision.
As the sheriff of Santa Rosa County, Florida says, insert
audio here, Our Sheriff Grady of Pope County says, insert
audio here. You have been warned listen at your own risks. Mike,

(00:56):
let me.

Speaker 4 (00:56):
Insert the audio here. We do tax by relief shots
on Fridays because we believe that the natural right of
self defense does not get enough attention. So we try
to bring attention to the lawful use of firearms or
other weapons to defend yourself against the thugs in the
country that should be in Al Salador instead of here,

(01:18):
so and we call him taxpayer relief shot primarily because.

Speaker 5 (01:23):
Somebody's breaking in your house here more than welcome to
shoot him in center's accunting.

Speaker 4 (01:27):
We prefer that you do.

Speaker 5 (01:28):
Actually, hopefully you'll save the taxpayers money.

Speaker 6 (01:31):
Or I would highly suggest that if a looter breaks
into your home, comes into your home while you're there
to steal stuff, that you take your gun and you
shoot him. You shoot him so that he looks like
grated cheese, because you know what, that's one leader that
won't break into anyone else's home.

Speaker 4 (01:50):
Or before we get to my favorite.

Speaker 7 (01:56):
This all right, Nasau County, we're deputy's continue to investigate
an early morning shooting at a home.

Speaker 8 (02:03):
We're told the homeowners shot and killed the man who
was trying to break in the home.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Is on Minor Road near Buccaneer Trail between Turk Lane
and Road.

Speaker 9 (02:12):
There's a six year old boy sleeping and a woman
inside when the break in happened.

Speaker 10 (02:17):
Not a lot of issues in this area.

Speaker 5 (02:18):
We have a few vehicle break ins, innivators leaving their vehicles.

Speaker 4 (02:22):
Not a wow.

Speaker 10 (02:22):
I just someone coming through the neighborhood check and I'm gonna.

Speaker 8 (02:24):
See if there's anything valuable in there, but but nothing
home invasions like this.

Speaker 11 (02:29):
Sheriff Leeper says this should be a warnings would be
thieves around.

Speaker 10 (02:32):
I certainly you want to protect yourself.

Speaker 12 (02:34):
You want to text your home if someone breaks in,
and that's.

Speaker 13 (02:37):
The possibility that they're going to accept, is somebody going
to be shooting them.

Speaker 4 (02:41):
So I will suggest not to break into homes. Yeah, Dragon,
could you grab that audio, just that portion from the sheriff.

Speaker 10 (02:47):
No, I completely forgot, so it's just sitting there.

Speaker 4 (02:50):
Well, no, I saw it. Yeah, yeah, that's why I
played it. Yeah, I didn't realize that you haven't edited.

Speaker 10 (02:55):
No, that's a note to myself to get audio from sheriff.
That's love. That's awesome. Okay, that's all me.

Speaker 14 (03:03):
Or my favorite one of course is I would tell them,
if you value your life, you probably shouldn't do that
in Polk County because the.

Speaker 4 (03:11):
People of Polk County like guns. They have guns.

Speaker 14 (03:14):
I encourage them to own guns, and they're going to
be in their homes tonight with their guns loaded.

Speaker 15 (03:18):
And if you try to break into their homes to
steal to set fires, I'm highly.

Speaker 14 (03:23):
Recommending they blow you back out of the house with
their guns. So leave the community alone.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
Yeah, just leave people alone. So I don't listen to
these until I play them. We have award winners, but
we are Our associate producer gets really upset if we
build up much of a backlog, so we'll we'll get
rid of we have one, two, three, four or five.
We have six left over from last week, and I

(03:48):
certainly don't want him to get upset, so we'll get
rid of the old ones from last week before we
get to the award winners. Let's see, this is the
popo shoot and kill a carjacker. Well, it seems unreasonable.

Speaker 16 (04:02):
As the day comes to a close, neighbors in Pewallup
are coming to terms with a deadly officer involved shooting
just feet away from where they live. Hi, everybody glad
you're with us tonight. I'm Michelle Astabon. Police say this
deadly incident happened after a double carjacking followed by a
high speed chase. Ultimately that pursuit ended right here. This

(04:23):
is a long valley avenue in Pewallup where officers shot
and killed that suspect, Cormos. Ryan Simms is live from
the scene. He has been there all night. It remains
an active scene. Ryan, even officers with years of experience
say this is an incident that really stands out to
them and Michelle.

Speaker 17 (04:41):
They say that because they say it's rare to have
so many crimes committed by the same person in just
a short amount of time.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
But that was the result today.

Speaker 17 (04:50):
It ended with police firing on that man in the
middle of this street, killing him.

Speaker 18 (04:55):
It was like a boom, like it was just it
was a It was a pretty loud blake.

Speaker 17 (05:00):
Pil Coxon cannot unhear the total commotion that unfolded along
his street.

Speaker 18 (05:05):
If I was close to it, probably would have probably
popped in the air drum or something for sure.

Speaker 17 (05:09):
For the record, he's not talking about the gunshots, but
popping tires. Following a high speed pursuit from Tacoma all
the way to peuallap cops used spike strips to stop
that suspect from traveling any farther.

Speaker 18 (05:21):
You know, it's the day before the birthday, so that's
definitely not like, you know, I didn't have that on
my checklist for the day, for sure.

Speaker 17 (05:28):
Investigators tell COMO this case started with the carjacking in
Tacoma fifteen minutes later. They say the suspect wiped out
here and then carjacked a second.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
Person and from there the police chase was on.

Speaker 8 (05:40):
It was quite the incident today to cover that much
ground with all of those different elements to it.

Speaker 17 (05:48):
By the time the pursuit entered Palla, police say they
had had enough spike strips stopped that suspect in the tracks,
and when he exited that second stone car, they say
he then approached them with the knife. The result neighbors
like Blake hearing several gunshots fired by cops now in.

Speaker 18 (06:04):
This area typically don't hear that too much, so it
definitely is like a right for sure.

Speaker 4 (06:09):
The suspect died on the scene.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
Everyone else in clinic police were unheard.

Speaker 17 (06:16):
Now talking about police in the aftermath of this incident.
Two police officers are now unpaid leave. Come to you
live from pwall Up tonight, Ryan Simms, Come on.

Speaker 4 (06:25):
News man. He was excited about that story. He was
really exciting. Give him that report. Let's see the pope
was shoot and kill somebody, wonder why.

Speaker 19 (06:35):
And we're learning more about the suspect behind an hour's
long standoff in Montgomery County.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
The suspect was shot and killed. An officer was also
injured during the incident.

Speaker 10 (06:44):
Cheyenne Karn, A lot happened.

Speaker 20 (06:46):
Here, Hi Jason, Yes, it was quite the scene. This
neighborhood looks a lot different than it did last night now.
The District Attorney's office says the suspect was shot and
killed by police. We have watched detectives go in and
out of this home all day. Neighbors tell us the
twenty five year old lived here with his parents, and.

Speaker 21 (07:08):
We just heard an initial shot or two and then
looked out the window and saw the place outside, and
then the suspect in the backyard firing.

Speaker 20 (07:18):
A five hour barricade situation took over this normally quiet
neighborhood in Pottstown last night and ended when the DA's
office says twenty five year old Andrew Jackson Ecker, better
known as AJ, was shot and killed by police. Neighbors
confirmed he worked at his family's HVAC business, as seen
here on the company's website.

Speaker 22 (07:39):
The father of my child texted me and said that
AJ showed up to our house and that he had
asked him to leave our property because he had a
gun on his waistband. He did some odd jobs around
our house, some plumbing stuff, and we owed him like
fifty dollars and he was asking for that basically.

Speaker 20 (07:53):
Hillary Lavender says this was just before AJ was involved
in a car crash on Beach in North Mount Vernon
Street around five pm. The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office
says when police responded to the scene, they found a
twenty two caliber gun and Ecker ran to his home
nearby on Winding Road. Once police arrived, the DA's office says,

(08:14):
Ekker fired multiple shots at police. A struck potstound Officer
Caleb Whitney in the shoulder.

Speaker 21 (08:21):
It was so loud, like there were drones everywhere. Police
were all over the place. They shot out the windows.

Speaker 20 (08:29):
Ecker then barricaded himself inside the large corner home as
multiple law enforcement agencies surrounded. At ten forty five pm,
the DA's office says, he was shot and killed by police.

Speaker 15 (08:41):
We have known since we moved in here.

Speaker 22 (08:44):
We are both recovering attics. AJ struggle with that, so
we tried on our best multiple times to try to
get him down to like, you know, the right path
and to try to make better decisions for his life
and stuff like that. And our i mean, our kids
have had plates together here in this area pasttown. You
would never think, but it just goes to show anybody
can be one bad decision away from ruining their whole lives.

Speaker 20 (09:06):
And that officer injured. He was released from the hospital
last night. And also the investigation is being handled by
Montgomery County detectives. I'm live and pot sound, I'm shining Krien,
Foxween nine News.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
Back to you, Jason, Thank you, Shan, Thank you Sanne.

Speaker 4 (09:19):
That's what you call a philosophical taxpayer relief shot, because
it just goes to prove that anybody, anytime, anywhere, can
just be one bad decision away from ruining their lives
or ending up dead. Right there, Let's see the popo
shoot and kill a man who was will wonder how

(09:40):
he got that.

Speaker 23 (09:42):
Exclusive new video obtained by katie Ka shows the moment
a multi state police chase ended on the Pennsylvania Turnpike
in Beaver County. Katie Ka's Ricky Sayer spoke with the
man earlier who took the video of troopers shooting the suspect.

Speaker 9 (09:57):
Its moments along the turnpike ended with gun shots Friday.

Speaker 15 (10:02):
You know, I hear a shot, like, damn, they just
shot his dude trucker.

Speaker 9 (10:08):
Marcus Washington was just across the highway when he took
the video of troops.

Speaker 4 (10:12):
Okay, that's that's worth repeating, uh that this is.

Speaker 10 (10:16):
Some damn he just shut that duss.

Speaker 4 (10:19):
Some fine reporting right here.

Speaker 9 (10:22):
The moments along the turnpike ended with gun shots.

Speaker 10 (10:25):
Friday.

Speaker 15 (10:26):
You know, I hear a shot, like, damn, they just
shot his dude trucker.

Speaker 9 (10:33):
Marcus Washington was just across the highway when he took
the video of troopers trying to detain the man.

Speaker 24 (10:40):
He's kind of angry and just oriented, you know, He's like,
get off with me, you know, and he pushed them back.

Speaker 15 (10:47):
I see his arms up, pushing them back off of them.

Speaker 9 (10:50):
One officer still appeared to be holding onto the man
when the other officer shot him from a few feet away.

Speaker 15 (10:56):
That's unnecessary. You could use the taser.

Speaker 24 (10:58):
You can use your other hand if the guy is
still coming at you to get your weapon.

Speaker 15 (11:05):
That is, you know, understandable.

Speaker 4 (11:08):
I love this guy. We got color commentary on this
on the entire taxpayer relief shot. Here.

Speaker 9 (11:18):
All of this is going on there was a small
fire on that overturned police cruiser. It came all the
way from Ohio. That's where police say the man crashed
his car after a chase, stole the troopers car, then
took off into Pennsylvania.

Speaker 15 (11:32):
Something is mentally wrong with him.

Speaker 9 (11:34):
It's the same man Washington watched die on the side
of the road.

Speaker 15 (11:37):
You know my feelings, I don't have any. I'm desensitized.

Speaker 9 (11:42):
Washington says he's been in the suspect shoes, saying he
was shot with the rubber bullet after the Los Angeles
Lakers won the twenty twenty NBA title.

Speaker 24 (11:51):
They shoot me from the back, you know, walking back
to my apartment.

Speaker 9 (11:56):
Because of it when he watched what and folded along
the turnpike.

Speaker 15 (11:59):
I feel a certain way about it. I feel a
certain way about myself. Bems treated by officer.

Speaker 23 (12:06):
Pennsylvania State Police are still investigating the crash and shooting.
Stay with Katika and Katik dot Com for the latest.

Speaker 4 (12:14):
And there's your citizen Killer commentary on the text play
relief shops for today. Let's see the popo shoot and
kill another guy who was ooh, that's not very good.

Speaker 7 (12:25):
On February eighteenth, but the video was just released and
it gives us a first look at what led to
this fatal police shooting that ended all. We want to
take you back to the nineteen hundred block of Intoma
Boulevard and Antioch.

Speaker 1 (12:38):
This was at one forty in the morning.

Speaker 7 (12:40):
The video you're looking at is from body camera footage
from the officers who arrived on seeing They came because
the son was attacking his father with a knife. So
our carbonporter Henry Lee, live at the Conquered Police department
now to show us what happened next.

Speaker 25 (12:55):
Henry, Well, Claudia, this is a very fluid and dynamic
situation that turned deadly. It was all called on police
body cameras. I will warn you.

Speaker 1 (13:04):
That the video we're about to see may be disturbing.

Speaker 15 (13:08):
All right, where's your son?

Speaker 1 (13:12):
It was a jarring sight.

Speaker 25 (13:14):
After a woman called nine one one in February, Conquered
police broke down a door, heard screaming and saw forty
seven year old Nathan Keesler stabbing his seventy three year
old father, Roger, at his home, and Conquered officer Roy
Olson quickly fired off several shots.

Speaker 9 (13:31):
Shots fired.

Speaker 25 (13:32):
Keyessler was hit and stopped moving, but then Moments later,
as the officer tried to kick the knife away, the
suspect tried to attack the officer with the knife.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
That officer jumped out of the way.

Speaker 25 (13:43):
Sergeant CHRISTOPHERSUSA tried tasing the suspect as other officers also
fired their guns.

Speaker 1 (13:48):
Again, the suspect stopped moving.

Speaker 25 (13:50):
Police were trying to get the father to safety when
his son began to raise up with a knife still
in his hand. The officers fired for a third time,
killing the suspect. In all, five officers fired their guns.

Speaker 8 (14:01):
Every time that he came back up with a knife.
You know, the officers tried everything. I tried to kick
the knife away when after him he got shot.

Speaker 25 (14:08):
Police practices expert Don Cameron, a former police officer, says
he believes the shooting appears to be justified because of
the repeated threat by the suspect.

Speaker 8 (14:16):
Just continued, you know, and when they continue, you have
to continue to stop the thread. The guy's already stabbed
his father and he's obviously trying now to stab the officers.

Speaker 25 (14:28):
The incident is unusual because the first quality of police
gunfire didn't incapacitate the suspect, but Cameron says that's probably
because police are used to confronting suspects standing before them
very rarely.

Speaker 8 (14:39):
In fact, I don't think we've ever trained officers, you know,
to shoot somebody that's down on the ground and you know,
moving around.

Speaker 1 (14:45):
You know, it's just hey, it's happenstance.

Speaker 25 (14:48):
The father was treated for stab wounds as well as
a gunshot to the leg fired by police.

Speaker 4 (14:55):
Now.

Speaker 25 (14:56):
I went to the father's home today, but he did
not want to comment the contract cost. The case office
is reviewing the actions of the officers for back at
work after initially being put on paid administrative leave five
and conquered.

Speaker 1 (15:07):
Henry Lee KTV, you.

Speaker 4 (15:10):
Can't that whether say something about training cops to shoot
somebody on the ground or not. Is that kind of
like shoot them in the toad, incapacitate them, U popo,
shoot and kill well, you know, do stupid stuff.

Speaker 26 (15:27):
A barrage of gunfire in the parking lot of a
hotel startled guests around nine thirty at night Monday. This
video you'll see only on six shows the scene minutes
after the shooting.

Speaker 1 (15:37):
When the shots were fired. We jugged down and on
the floor was like six shots.

Speaker 26 (15:41):
The Miami daid Sheriff's office as detectives were conducting surveillance
overnight on a man involved in a deadly double shooting
earlier the same day. Deputies attempted to arrest the man
as he entered his car.

Speaker 11 (15:51):
Short time after, detectives in the process of taking the
subject down with using their red and blue lights and
their police in stage now were met with an age
of gunfire.

Speaker 10 (16:00):
The man was struck and killed.

Speaker 26 (16:02):
Detectives say they recovered a firearm in his vehicle.

Speaker 1 (16:05):
He was just in two rooms miximize.

Speaker 26 (16:07):
The earlier shooting that NDAs Sosa has led to. This
encounter happened Monday just after midnight near a food truck
at Northwest twenty seventh Avenue and thirtieth Street. According to deputies,
the suspect was involved in an argument with one of
the victims and then shot and killed two people.

Speaker 4 (16:22):
Well abruptly of it. Okay, uh, don't shoot the cops.
The state popo shoot and kill a man that was.

Speaker 27 (16:31):
Right.

Speaker 16 (16:31):
We have a gentline with a right bull shooting at
our building.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
Header stationed them all to help. Great third black man
holding a right bull currently parking lot.

Speaker 27 (16:44):
State police tell us a man fired a rifle at
the building before being shot and killed. Thank you for
joining us this afternoon. I'm Mark mul holland Sabrina is
off today and we begin with that breaking news out
of Malta where there is still a heavy police presence
following a police involved shooting that happened at about.

Speaker 10 (17:00):
One this afternoon.

Speaker 27 (17:02):
Koobe Tucker was among the first on the scene and
she's right near the State Police barracks. Joining us now live, Komi.

Speaker 4 (17:08):
What have you learned?

Speaker 28 (17:11):
Well, Mark, We're right across the street from the State
Police barracks here in Malta. Police say, thankfully no troopers
were injured here. Witnesses in this area said they couldn't
believe it when they heard the loud noises like a
popping sound, pop pop pop in this area. There is still,
as you said, a very heavy police presence still on
Route nine here in Malta. Police say it was around

(17:31):
one five this afternoon when they got a report of
shots fired.

Speaker 20 (17:35):
Here.

Speaker 28 (17:35):
Police say a man arrived with a hunting rifle and
fired several rounds at the barracks. Troopers fired and killed
the man. Witnesses say he was near a red pickup
truck in the parking lot.

Speaker 10 (17:47):
They saw troopers.

Speaker 28 (17:48):
They say, come running out, guns drawn and fire at
the suspects.

Speaker 10 (17:52):
Then within minutes this entire.

Speaker 28 (17:54):
Area was flooded with police and other emergency vehicles. We
saw Sarah tooka county sheriff Michael Zerlo here. Obviously a
lot of State Police troopers here and investigators. The area
around the barracks is still cordoned off. Route nine was
shut down from the Root sixty seven traffic circle to
Saratoga Village Boulevard, but just a little while ago, the

(18:14):
southbound side of Route nine has reopened. You can see
the traffic passing.

Speaker 21 (18:18):
Us by here.

Speaker 28 (18:19):
Residents in this area say they can't believe that something
like this would happen in Malta. One witness said she
thought it was a training exercise until she realized the
seriousness of the situation. We do have no identification on
the suspect at this point. There's reason to believe that
his family has been notified.

Speaker 27 (18:36):
Shots fired at the State Police barracks in.

Speaker 4 (18:39):
More, Oh. We cannot believe that have happened in our neighborhood.
If you're ever interviewed, don't say.

Speaker 29 (18:47):
That morning, boys, Mike, I'm thinking that, damn, they just
shot that dude. Needs to go in the taxpayer relief

(19:09):
disclaimer from now on, you guys have a great weekend.

Speaker 4 (19:14):
You're right, that was a good one. If I can
get a producer who's busy back to reading donuts.

Speaker 10 (19:20):
Yeah, if I can't remember to cut out the sheriff
audio from last week, I'm probably not gonna remember to
cut up that audio from this week for next week.

Speaker 4 (19:27):
So if I can figure out a way to forward
this MP three to me, I take it home and
do it, because well, I'd want it done right anyway,
but I don't know how to forward it out of
it Adobe.

Speaker 10 (19:37):
Audous one system to the other system and all that.

Speaker 4 (19:39):
Yeah, and I'll know. I'll look in a minute. We're
doing taxpayer relief shots.

Speaker 5 (19:43):
Somebody's breaking in your house, you're more than welcome to
shoot them. In center's accounting, we prefer that you do. Actually,
hopefully you'll save the taxpayers money.

Speaker 4 (19:50):
Now, the next several ones are designated as award winners,
so we'll just start with this.

Speaker 12 (20:01):
It was a great neighborhood that it doesn't happen around
here usually, you know what I mean, other parts of Vancouver.
You know, I can understand, but these people are this
is a tight knit community.

Speaker 30 (20:09):
Vancouver police are investigating a home invasion that turned deadly.
Investigators say a homeowner shot and killed the intruder. Fox
twelve's Deborah gil has reaction from neighbors who live nearby.

Speaker 1 (20:23):
The family was not.

Speaker 31 (20:24):
Heard, but told me they've had very little sleep and
did not want to talk to us right now.

Speaker 12 (20:29):
The past night at ten thirty, officer came to the
door and woke my wife up, and she just came
to the door and say someone got shot.

Speaker 31 (20:36):
Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit rushed to this home
on Southeast Beach Drive in Vancouver after a call to
them at ten twenty last night. Police tell us it
appears that a man not known to the family tried
to break into their house while they were inside. The
homeowner confronted that man with a gun, then shot and
killed the intruder. The homeowner and his family were not heard.

(20:56):
Neighbors say they love the area and this is shocking
to them, but they applaud their neighbor for taking action
when his family was threatened.

Speaker 12 (21:03):
I have a daughter, she's seven year old daughter, you
know what I mean. I do have some concerns about it.
I'm not trying to be harsh or anything. But you
want to break usone's house, that's penalty you're gonna have
to pay.

Speaker 31 (21:10):
We are waiting for updates from police on who the
intruder is and exactly what happened here last night in Vancouver.
Deborah Gill, Fox twelve, Oregon.

Speaker 4 (21:20):
And there's another great quote, you're gonna break into somebody's house, Well,
you're gonna pay. That's a good one too. Another homeowner except,
oh baby, I think this one might be a reason to.

Speaker 32 (21:36):
Celebrate a big story, a bizarre case involving a homeowner
opening fire and killing a naked intruder inside a mansion
in far North Scottsdale. Good evening, everyone, thanks for joining us.
I'm Cutty the divine now.

Speaker 33 (21:50):
Mark Curtis, thanks for joining us, team tells. Mitch Carr
joins us live from Scottsdale Place headquarters, and Mitch, this
is not wholly bizarre, but really really disturbing.

Speaker 10 (22:01):
Mark and Kredeve.

Speaker 13 (22:01):
Investigators here at scott Stale Pad are still trying to
figure out how the eighteen or nineteen year old teenage
suspect ended up inside this home after reports that he
had already tried to break into another house that was
about a mile away. Police cars had Investigators swarmed a
ritzy neighborhood near Pima Road and Pinnacle Peak after getting
a call from a homeowner reporting that he had just

(22:23):
shot an intruder. Scottsdale Police tell us the forty one
year old homeowner was outside late Wednesday night when the
family dog alerted him to something wrong inside the home,
so the husband and father of three grabbed his shotgun.
Scottsdale Police say the homeowner found the intruder naked in
one of his children's rooms, and that the intruder threatened
him with a large piece of wood before charging him,

(22:45):
so the homeowner fired two shots, killing the suspect.

Speaker 34 (22:48):
A lot of homeowners feel like if somebody enters their home,
they are justified and shooting that person, and that's not.

Speaker 13 (22:54):
True, Andy Anderson, as a retired assistant police chief. He says,
based on what we know so far, the shooting sounds justified.

Speaker 34 (23:02):
A homeowner has to be able to articulate a threat,
and in this situation, it sounds like that's exactly what
that homeowner is done.

Speaker 13 (23:11):
But that doesn't mean the homeowner is out of the woods.

Speaker 34 (23:13):
There's also a civil side of these things. Even though
you may be justified criminally in using deadly force, that
doesn't keep you from being sued civilly or having to
defend yourself down the road from maybe the family bringing
a lawsuit.

Speaker 13 (23:28):
Now, the biggest question still remaining, of course, who was
this suspect and why was he naked inside of somebody
else's house. We'll have to wait on the Scottsdale pet
to give us more information on that live in Scottsdale.

Speaker 10 (23:40):
Mitch Carr, twelve News.

Speaker 4 (23:41):
Yeah, I kind of think the family might want to
consult maybe with Maybe I ought to call capitalists, Have
capitalists explain to them that you will assume the family
that shot your son or brother because he was found
neked and the other family daughter's bedroom. And let me explain,

(24:05):
do you want a jury's gonna think about that. Jury's
not gonna like that. They don't like naked men in
other in daughter's bedrooms. So yeah, I don't know why
they had to throw in the civil lawsuit stuff, because
that ain't going anywhere. Home owner shoots and kills And
here's why in Colorado, your sol because you won't have

(24:30):
enough realms.

Speaker 35 (24:31):
Well, this afternoon, the search is on for a group
of armed robbers who broke into an apartment near NRG Stadium.
Police say the man in that apartment flought back, killing
one of the robbers. Devon Rahming has more on that well.

Speaker 36 (24:44):
The scene here at the Villa Solano apartments has since cleared,
but the investigation in this case is still very much ongoing.
After Houston police say one of the suspects in this
case was shot and killed. Investigators with the Houston Police
Department say this all happened around nine o'clock Wednesday in
an apartment off West Ridge Road. Witnesses recall seeing three
men trying to break into an apartment, one who police

(25:07):
say was masked and knocking on the front door, while
the other two tried forcing their way in through a window.
There were two people inside the home at the time
who called police. An investigator say an eighteen year old
suspect pointed a gun at one of the tenants moments
before the tenant knocked the gun out of his hand.
Police say the suspect then pulled out another gun, but

(25:29):
the tenant wrestled the gun away from the suspect and
shot him.

Speaker 10 (25:33):
He was dead at the scene.

Speaker 36 (25:35):
Police say the other two suspects took off running, and
fortunately the people who were inside the apartment at the
time of the incident weren't hurt.

Speaker 3 (25:43):
We're not sure if this was targeted or not.

Speaker 2 (25:45):
At this point, it appears to be an attempt at
burglary that turned into a.

Speaker 10 (25:48):
Home invasion once they realized that the person was inside.

Speaker 36 (25:51):
According to the Harris County District Attorney's office, this case
will now be reviewed by a grand jury. Houston police
are asking anyone with information that could lead to.

Speaker 10 (25:59):
An arrest in this case to call them.

Speaker 36 (26:02):
Reporting in Southwest Houston Devon Ramin kh OU eleven News.

Speaker 4 (26:06):
Harris County, Texas always delivers. Uh once again, you might
need more than you know five or six rounds.

Speaker 37 (26:16):
New details tonight on a Saint Feede home invasion that
left one suspect dead as police searched for another. Tin
Tampa Bay's Oshapateel was Life Force at the scene where
that homeowner opened fire and questions Asha, what are investigators
saying about a possible motive here now?

Speaker 38 (26:32):
Well, investigators are saying that they believe that this is
not random, that the suspects may have known one of
the three people that were inside of this home at
two this morning.

Speaker 39 (26:43):
Certainly, under the laws in the state, you have a
right to defend your home and your family.

Speaker 38 (26:48):
And that's exactly what police say the homeowner here did
this morning, fired shots when two men entered his home,
resulting in one.

Speaker 39 (26:56):
Of the suspects died when he was taken to the hospital.
He was injured and his name is Marcel Williams, and
we know that he is twenty years old. His next
of kin has been notified. He's from Saint Petersburg. The
other suspect left the scene.

Speaker 38 (27:11):
This was the scene hours ago, leaving neighbors worried.

Speaker 4 (27:14):
Just showed me how unpredictable everything is.

Speaker 38 (27:18):
Rick Richardson lives on fortieth Street norths temporarily never had
an issue.

Speaker 3 (27:22):
It's just sad to see this because they can tell
it affects a lot of the neighbors around here.

Speaker 4 (27:26):
We'd have to talk to a number of them this morning.

Speaker 38 (27:28):
And Saint Pete polease say there were three people in
the house, two men and a woman, and says the
suspect is still out there tonight. They need your help.

Speaker 39 (27:36):
If anybody in that area has any kind of ring camera,
doorbell camera, surveillance, video at all. I'm neither home or
business in that area. If they could let us know.

Speaker 38 (27:48):
And again, if you have any information of who that
suspect that's still out here could be, You're asked to
call Saint Pete Police Department. Please also tell me since
this was targeted, they want to make sure that the
public knowlice that there is no threat. I'm reporting live
in Saint Pete, Ashbital Tan, Tampa Bay.

Speaker 4 (28:07):
All right, Uh, a woman's roommate. Let's just leave it
at that.

Speaker 33 (28:15):
Well.

Speaker 19 (28:15):
Keegan Police say they got a nine to one one
call this morning from a panicked woman claiming two men
were trying to break into her home with a gun.
By the time officers got there, they say two men
were dead outside. A clear bullet hole through the metal
frame of this front door on Frolic Avenue and his
stoop still spluttered with blood are remnants of a terrifying

(28:36):
and unusual Tuesday morning crime.

Speaker 40 (28:39):
They thought that the house was empty, We're thinking, and
they didn't think anyone was there.

Speaker 19 (28:44):
Larina says her niece was inside the home around ten
this morning, when she says two men came to the
door disguised as gas company employees. Or something like it.

Speaker 40 (28:53):
They were knocking the door down with their feet and
she just opened it a little, you know, like a
little bit to see who it was, and they forced
themselves in.

Speaker 19 (29:05):
Huddled inside the home. That's when she says, her niece
screamed for help.

Speaker 40 (29:09):
All I know is that she started yelling for the
roommate and he came up, and I think then that's
when he went back down and got a gun, and
he came back up.

Speaker 21 (29:20):
She says.

Speaker 19 (29:21):
The roommate started firing from inside the house, and police
say one of the two attempting intruders fired too.

Speaker 24 (29:28):
It was like, in two or three intervals, saw her
like a don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't tell them.

Speaker 19 (29:34):
Her aunt says the woman inside the house was watching
a young child and grabbed him or her and ran
out the back door as bullets flew back and forth.
Police still aren't sure who fired first, but they say
both alleged intruders were shot dead in the front yard.

Speaker 15 (29:51):
I saw the bodies and I kind of just stepped back.

Speaker 40 (29:53):
If she would have been by herself, it would have
been a totally different story.

Speaker 19 (29:58):
Pollie say. They did recover one gun outside the home
and tonight. Walkeegan police say the people who were inside
the home were not injured.

Speaker 4 (30:09):
Home intruders stop it, leave the people alone. We'll be
right back.

Speaker 24 (30:15):
You could use a daisy, You could use your other
handgun if the guy is still coming at you to
get your weapon.

Speaker 15 (30:22):
That is uh, you know, understandable. Ah, Like, damn, he
just shot this dude.

Speaker 4 (30:31):
There you go, dragon, because somebody out there doing your
work for you.

Speaker 10 (30:36):
Thank you appreciate that.

Speaker 4 (30:38):
No, you don't.

Speaker 5 (30:41):
Somebody's breaking in your house here, more than welcome to
shoot him. In Santa Rose Accounting, we prefer that you do. Actually,
hopefully you'll save the taxpayer's money.

Speaker 39 (30:50):
Loser.

Speaker 4 (30:52):
We haven't heard this one in a while. This is
pretty good. I love this one.

Speaker 2 (30:55):
His sister, Rochelle, acknowledged his actions but criticized the employee's response, stating, yes,
he was robbing them, but that clerk shouldn't have shot him.

Speaker 1 (31:02):
They should have called the police.

Speaker 4 (31:05):
Yeah, I know, as Robin heem, I don't why they
had to shoot me. They should have just called the cops.

Speaker 15 (31:11):
My damn, they just shot this dude.

Speaker 41 (31:15):

Speaker 42 (31:44):
Way so you can get a look at the current
scene right now. You can see several detectives are still
on scene even four hours later. Metro Police, the TBI,
and the DEA are all involved. Metro Police have also
now confirmed that the suspect killed was a thirty six
year old man and that there are two others in
custody following what they are calling a major narcotics operation.

Speaker 1 (32:03):
Here's how a DEA.

Speaker 42 (32:04):

led to a shooting by one of our agents involving.

unfortunately he succumbed to his injuries.

Speaker 42 (32:38):
And the DEA tells us that Metro police are now
taking well.

Speaker 4 (32:41):
Like how we have and he succumbed to his injuries

who they say had a history of mental health issues
and was armed with a fourteen inch knife, and we
saw that knife.

Speaker 9 (33:33):
The police actually found out the.

Speaker 11 (33:34):
Scene steps from the elevated subway tracks for the NNW lines.
We also noticed investigators placing dozens of cups on the
ground serving as evidence markers, all while detectives have been
canvassing the block looking for Tramveila's video that can help
in their investigation. Chapter four was over the area, as
Gus mentioned, giving us a sense of the extension of

(33:55):
the crime scene, which covers our halfway block on thirty
first Suets. Police say they received numerous ninety one one
calls about the men acting erradically, waving a knife and
threatening to kill someone. When officers arrived, they spotted the men.

Speaker 4 (34:09):
With the knife.

Speaker 11 (34:09):
Chief of the Department, John Schell, says, and wait for
the officers and tried to de escalate the situation as
