Speaker 1 (00:00):
Mike Lebouber called in and said, no cackling from uh,
what's her name, Kamala? Yeah, however Hillary and her pretty
much sound the same, so give them Hillary instead.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
Caution, you are about to experience the taxpayer relief shot
segment on the situation with Michael Brown. Caution, you are
about to experience the taxpayer relief shot segment on the
situation with Michael Brown. We do not necessarily relish the
death of any criminal, but we do celebrate our god
given and constitutional right to self defense in the event
(00:36):
that the criminal becomes DRT. The taxpayers spared the cost
of public defenders, court costs, incarceration, and continued parole supervision.
As the Sheriff of Santa Rosa County, Florida says insert
audio here, or Sheriff Grady of Pope County says insert
audio here. You have been warned listen at your own risks.
Speaker 3 (01:02):
Mike, we call him taxpayer relief shops because somebody's breaking
in your house here, more than welcome to shoot him.
In Centero's accounting, we prefer that you do.
Speaker 4 (01:19):
Actually, hopefully you'll save the taxpayers money.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
Now, normally I would play you now several other sound
bites from Sheriff Grady and a couple of other sheriffs,
which I will in just a minute. However, a listener
this morning sent me a video of Sheriff Grady talking, well,
he just destroys this reporter, and I've got it queued
(01:43):
up because Joe Rogan introduces it, and Joe, you know,
tends to well listen to Sheriff Grady, just destroy this reporter.
Not a lot of use for poverty.
Speaker 5 (01:58):
Why did you say he would have been the first
off he tried.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
You say that you can't use justified, you know, justified force,
you know for a property crime, it's not always justified. Well,
how can you justify use of you know, deadly forced
in this situation which apparently involved more than the reporter understands.
So that's kind of the lead in Now, I don't
(02:25):
necessarily know that. That looks like it's heavily edited, but
it is generally true. Carjacking, yes, because you now have
if what you're doing is when you're using violence. Uh,
you can easily be killed in a carjacking without a gun,
(02:46):
and if they obtain the car, now they have a
deadly weapon. Once again, Cheff Grady delivers the receipts and
I love it. I absolutely love it.
Speaker 6 (02:57):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (02:57):
He also says things.
Speaker 7 (02:59):
Like I would tell them, if you value your life,
you probably shouldn't do that in Polk County because the
people of Polk County like guns.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
They have guns.
Speaker 7 (03:07):
I encourage them to own guns, and they're going to
be in their homes tonight with their guns loaded. And
if you try to break into their homes to.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
Steal to set fires.
Speaker 7 (03:15):
I'm highly recommending they blow you back out of the
house with their guns. So leave the community alone.
Speaker 8 (03:22):
Or you could use a tasy, you could use your
other handgun if the guy is still coming at you
to get your weapon. That is, you know, understandable, Like
damn he just shocked his dude.
Speaker 3 (03:38):
Yeah, well, sometimes you get asked to be shot.
Speaker 9 (03:41):
He asked to be shot, he demanded to be shot,
and then he forced us to shoot him, so we
obliged him.
Speaker 3 (03:49):
He obliged him, which means what you probably should not
do is don't attack my deputies. Don't try to stab
or shoot my deputies, because if you do, we're gonna
shoot you a lot loser. Another great one is I.
Speaker 9 (04:11):
Would highly suggest that if a looter breaks into your home,
comes into your home while you're there.
Speaker 3 (04:17):
To steal stuff.
Speaker 9 (04:18):
That you take your gun and you shoot him. You
shoot him so that he looks like grated cheese, because
you know what, that's one leader that won't break into
anyone else's home.
Speaker 3 (04:29):
Bingo. And I do believe this is I think becoming
my favorite clip of all to introduce taxpayer relief shops.
Speaker 10 (04:40):
Hey, everyone, recently, lady called nine one one here in
Penell County because someone was breaking into her house.
Speaker 11 (04:47):
There's some guy.
Speaker 3 (04:48):
He came to my door, but he went into my
neighbor's house.
Speaker 10 (04:51):
This dispatcher gave excellent advice. I'd like you to take
a moment and listen to it. He came into my garage.
Speaker 12 (04:56):
She's trying to get my back door.
Speaker 13 (04:58):
Okay, lock your doors, keep them mind. How long do
you have a firearm with you?
Speaker 14 (05:02):
I do.
Speaker 15 (05:02):
He's in my garage.
Speaker 10 (05:03):
He's trying to get in.
Speaker 16 (05:05):
Go get that firearm.
Speaker 17 (05:06):
I have a gun. I'll here you leah.
Speaker 14 (05:11):
In the garage.
Speaker 10 (05:12):
While the incident was still going on, sergeant was monitoring
the radio traffic. And this is his direction that he gave.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
If I is o URP, if the subjects trying to
get in the house. Was the right to use force.
Speaker 10 (05:23):
I couldn't be more in agreement with what the direction
of my dispatcher gave and what the sergeant gave.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
Over the radio.
Speaker 10 (05:29):
Remember, if you want personal protection, buy a gun, learn
how to use it, learn when you can use it.
I'm sure if ross people and I approve of this message, and.
Speaker 3 (05:36):
I approve that message too, mainly because we have a
lot of stupid people out there.
Speaker 18 (05:43):
His sister, Rochelle, acknowledged his actions but criticized the employee's response, stating, yes,
he was robbing them, but that clerk shouldn't have shot him.
Speaker 3 (05:51):
They should have called the police. So yeah, according to
some stupid people, if you're robbing the bank, robbing the
convenience store, don't try to defend yourself. Just call the
popo and they'll send the morgue to come and pick
up your body after the robber is dropped. You right there. Okay,
let's get started. As I tell you, I don't, I don't.
(06:12):
I've not heard these so I hear them just like
you do. We'll start with the popo shooting killer wanted
suspect who was well, you know, kind of like Cheff
Grady said, don't attack our cops.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
His sister Rochelle acknowledged that's a double click there.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
Michael. Yeah, I don't even attempt to try to explain
it anymore. So I double click it, and you know,
and then I move the mouse, I look down talk
and then hit play and realize the double click doesn't stick.
Doesn't stick.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
Yeah, blame the thirty year old technology sit in front
of you.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
I don't know whether to blame the computer or the
cheap ass or the user. Comp you know, the comp
Usa mouse. User No, the comp Usa mouse or the
Circuit City mouse that's wired that.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
It's never user error.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
It's falling apart of course. No, I've gone from uh
host the talent TOI I'm an influencer, So show a
little respect back there, moving down that ladder, aren't you.
I wonder what the next name is they'll come up with.
(07:34):
All right, let's get back. I want to get through these.
Here we go.
Speaker 7 (07:37):
That officer involved shooting after a chase on the North Side.
Speaker 16 (07:41):
Samantha Johnson just wrapped up talking with.
Speaker 19 (07:47):
And well, Dustin, I can tell you the officers we
talked to called this a direct attack on police officers
here this morning in our city. It started on the
northeast side ended on the north west side. They described
it as hectic and chaotic and really a danger. All
of this happening during the morning commute. So I want
(08:07):
to walk you back to what started this morning. Around
seven twenty that's when police tell us they first got
a call about a person shot on rit Or not
far from forty six and Emerson Avenue. Again, that's on
the northeast side. Police say when they got there, that's
when they say they found a woman who had.
Speaker 16 (08:24):
Been shot in the driveway.
Speaker 19 (08:26):
We understand from police just a few moments ago that
woman has died. While police were there on the scene,
they got a description of the man they say allegedly
shot that woman and then took off. They were able
to give that description to other officers, and less than
an hour later, around eight p fifteen this morning, North
District officers spotted the suspect on Indy's northwest side. That's
(08:50):
when they say they're started a chase. They waited on
more officers to get into the area. A chase started
on the northwest side. Officers say that suspect allegedly stopped
driving at least three times to shoot at police officers
during this chase.
Speaker 16 (09:05):
Ultimately, it ended on thirty.
Speaker 19 (09:07):
Second Street, not far from MLKA and I sixty five.
That's when police say the suspect got out of the vehicle,
pointed a rifle at officers, and at least one officer
fired back, hitting that suspect. According to police an update
just a few moments ago, that man was taken to
the hospital in critical condition, but has since died. Metro
(09:27):
Police telling us no officers were injured and no one
in this community was hurt either.
Speaker 14 (09:32):
Take a listen, these are tragic incidents, and they take
that deeper and you think about the heart and soul
of this street, this community, and what these individuals, this
community members are going through. This is horrific and tragic
for them.
Speaker 19 (09:48):
So again, two different neighborhoods, two people dead this afternoon,
a man and a woman. Police tell us they believe
this started as some sort of domestic disturbance.
Speaker 16 (09:58):
They confirmed to us.
Speaker 19 (09:59):
Just a few moments ago that that man and woman
were married. Now police were able to tell us they
found two guns here at the scene, a rifle outside
of that man's car and a handgun inside the car.
They tell us at least two of their police cars
were hit with gunshots.
Speaker 16 (10:15):
During that chase.
Speaker 19 (10:16):
This is obviously very early on in the investigation. Right now,
they're looking at video that was gathered from the northeast
side all the way to the northwest side, and they're
asking neighbors too if you saw.
Speaker 16 (10:26):
Or heard anything along that route.
Speaker 19 (10:28):
They want to hear from you this afternoon, So justin
obviously much more to come today, but the latest here
too dead a man and a woman.
Speaker 16 (10:36):
No officers were hurt.
Speaker 3 (10:38):
Don't shoot at the cops, dummies. A fifteen year old
tries to rob somebody.
Speaker 16 (10:47):
Stupid and I'm Hillarry Goldson.
Speaker 13 (10:50):
Right now, police are still investigating, but they believe it
may have started out as an attempted robbery. Fox tuns
Kamila Murray joins us Now Live to talk about all
of this. You know, it is a strange situation, and
you're talking about someone so young. We hate to report
on things like this.
Speaker 16 (11:06):
Yeah, it really is.
Speaker 20 (11:07):
We're outside Detroit police headquarters, so let's talk about what happened.
Let's break this down because it is unusual. Of course,
they didn't really realize exactly what happened until they started
to piece this together.
Speaker 16 (11:17):
But I do want to show you some video.
Speaker 20 (11:19):
Of course this video was taken today just but I
want you to see where it happens.
Speaker 16 (11:23):
You can got to get your eyes on it.
Speaker 20 (11:25):
But this actually happened last night around eleven o'clock. Detroit
Police say that this fifteen year old, it was around
on Hendrix near East Erner on the east side of Detroit,
actually yeah, near East Verner that he attempts to rob
a guy in his twenties and then the guy in
his twenties shoots and kills the fifteen year old. Of course,
(11:49):
it took a moment to try and piece all this together.
They have this fatality, and then they figured out some
more things. And this is coming from the captain who
was on scene.
Speaker 16 (11:58):
Take a listen to what he had to say.
Speaker 12 (12:02):
Deceased was found blacks and four blacks east. Another individual
standing next and deceased and he was also taken into custody.
At this point, appears has been a Robbie gone bad.
Speaker 16 (12:16):
Okay, so a robbery gone bad.
Speaker 20 (12:18):
But we don't know what the fifteen year old was
trying to steal from the guy in his twenties, and
we don't know if he was armed.
Speaker 16 (12:25):
Obviously, we know the guy in.
Speaker 20 (12:26):
His twenties who was the robbery victim was armed because
police say he shot and killed the fifteen year old.
And then of course you heard that another person has
been arrested. So just a lot of moving parts, but again,
another senseless act of violence.
Speaker 16 (12:41):
None of this needed to happen.
Speaker 20 (12:42):
And now, of course a family warning the loss of
their son.
Speaker 3 (12:47):
Well wait a minute, none of this needed to happen. Well,
part of it needed to happen, because if you're being
robbed and year of your life, then you need to
do something to protect yourself. So yeah, that kind of
bugs me.
Speaker 20 (13:06):
Oh, we're gonna have more on this as it develops,
but for now we're like live outside Detroit Police headquarters.
Speaker 16 (13:10):
Kamil and Mary Fox two News. Yeah, Camille.
Speaker 13 (13:13):
One of the things that comes to mind is whether
or not the guy in his twenties is a CPL holder.
Did he legally have this weapon when he fired it?
And I don't know if police know that at this point.
Speaker 20 (13:26):
You know, it was one of the things that I
asked the public information officer, and you know, they're trying
to sort out whether or not there will be charges,
right because possibly is this a self defense thing?
Speaker 16 (13:37):
Was that fifteen year old armed?
Speaker 20 (13:39):
Obviously he can't carry a weapon legally.
Speaker 16 (13:42):
Because he's only fifteen.
Speaker 20 (13:44):
And then who was this other person that you heard
the captain talk about?
Speaker 16 (13:47):
How was he connected to all of this?
Speaker 20 (13:49):
So again a lot of moving parts, but a bizarre crime.
And again, at the end of the day, a senseless
crime because now a teenager's dead. Obviously his family is
in mourning. This didn't need to happen.
Speaker 16 (14:01):
You're sorry back to you. You were such a season report.
I knew you would have asked him about that.
Speaker 3 (14:08):
Whip stop it stop it grief. I don't want to
hear any more lap All right, another one? Uh five?
Five armed home invaders? Imagine you're at home five.
Speaker 21 (14:23):
Daisy, the victim of the home vision in Palm View Saturday,
did not want her face on a camera, but she
does tell she never wanted to have a gum ling
around the house, but after this ordeal, says she's glad
she had protection by her side. A standoff in South
Palm View Saturday afternoon puts a neighborhood on high alert.
Police in Swap blocked off the seventy one hundred block
(14:44):
of PTJ Street as they negotiated with two men who
had barricaded themselves inside a home. The standoff ended with
the brothers Lucas and haesuss Artis in handcuffs, and just
hours earlier, police say the pair.
Speaker 11 (14:57):
Tried to burglarize a home nearby.
Speaker 21 (15:00):
Action four spoke to the burglar victim, who will call Alex.
She tells us she heard a man banging loudly on
her front door while another walked around to the back door.
Speaker 22 (15:10):
I'm a young woman, I'm pregnant, I'm home alone.
Speaker 5 (15:13):
I'm not going to answer the door.
Speaker 16 (15:14):
I mean, I know.
Speaker 21 (15:15):
Better, Alex says her husband had just left twenty minutes before.
Immediately she knew something wasn't right, and she made a
split decision to grab her husband's handgun.
Speaker 22 (15:25):
By myself with the nine one one on one hand,
the gun on the other. And I'm just I'm a
nervous brick.
Speaker 5 (15:32):
I don't know what to do.
Speaker 22 (15:33):
I yell, I told the namon one.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
Oh my god, he broke in.
Speaker 21 (15:36):
Alex says she's never been one to feel comfortable using
a gun. Still, her husband showed her how to use
it just a few months ago.
Speaker 22 (15:43):
Nervous, it took me a very long time to pull
the trigger, and he said, when you're in a situation
like that, you're not gonna think twice.
Speaker 11 (15:50):
And she says that's just what happened.
Speaker 21 (15:52):
Once the men realized Alex was armed and ready to
defend her home, they ran back towards their truck.
Speaker 22 (15:58):
The drenther thing kicked in, and I just shot at
the vehicle.
Speaker 21 (16:03):
Alex aimed at the vehicle to scare off the burglars,
also hoping to leave and identify Mark to help police
track it down.
Speaker 11 (16:10):
She adds her intentions were not to shoot the men.
Speaker 21 (16:13):
Although reluctant at first, Alex is now thankful her husband
taught her to use a gun, preparing her for the worst.
Speaker 22 (16:20):
I was against him buying a gun, maybe like seven
or eight months ago, but I told him.
Speaker 2 (16:27):
You know, I don't know if.
Speaker 22 (16:28):
I've told you thank you for doing that, because it
changed the situation completely.
Speaker 21 (16:34):
Pmfio, please say that Lucas and Hi suss Ertis were
high on unknown drugs at the time of the burglary,
and they are still being uncooperative with the investigation.
Speaker 11 (16:42):
In the studio Ashley Custer action for.
Speaker 3 (16:45):
News Well Good Things, she decided to reluctantly along and
get the gun. How's see another word, A sixty year
old homeowner will get started on this and finish it.
Speaker 23 (16:55):
On the other side, a beloved Virginia teacher has been
killed and what police say was a random home invasion.
Speaker 11 (17:02):
Thank you for joining us here at five thirty.
Speaker 23 (17:04):
I'm Jeanine Samuels and.
Speaker 2 (17:05):
On Bil Fitzgerald.
Speaker 17 (17:06):
The Rockham County Sheriff's Office says it happened just before
midnight's Sunday. They say forty one year old Kevin Walker
of Maryland broke into Holly and Michael Hatcher's home and
attacked the husband and wife with a large knife. Holly,
who was sixty two, was killed Definty say her husband
then shot and killed Walker after the fight continued outside
and Michael was able to grab his hand downe from
(17:28):
the car. While the Hatcher family is mourning Holly's loss,
they say the support of the community is giving.
Speaker 3 (17:34):
Them strength more mixt.
Speaker 2 (17:38):
Good morning, Michael and Dragon.
Speaker 24 (17:40):
Just wanted to let you know that I still rearrange
my Friday four taxpayer relief shots and it is impressive.
Speaker 2 (17:49):
Have a good weekend.
Speaker 3 (17:49):
Guys.
Speaker 2 (17:50):
Wait, wait, wait, are the taxpayer relief shots or impressive,
or the fact that you can rearrange your schedule is impressive.
Speaker 3 (17:58):
You look scares the crap out of me. What you
just said. That is exactly, almost verbatim, the thought that
was going through my head. That's scary. That is just
I'm terrified I'm leaving here and going straight to a
psychiatrist or just committing myself one or the other. I'm
not sure which one. We were doing this one. Let's
(18:18):
just start it all over, because well it's the intro
was pretty good, and of course, you know, Dragon had
to play the outro music because we got to have
a heart we got to have our heart break. So
let's just start it over.
Speaker 23 (18:28):
The Love Virginia teacher has been killed and what police
say was a random home invasion.
Speaker 5 (18:34):
Thank you for joining us here at five thirty.
Speaker 23 (18:35):
I'm Jeanine Samuels and.
Speaker 2 (18:36):
I'm Bil Fitzgerald.
Speaker 17 (18:38):
The Rockingham County Sheriff's Office says it happened just before
midnight Sunday. They say forty one year old Kevin Walker
of Maryland broke into Holly and Michael Hatcher's home and
attacked the husband and wife with a large knife. Holly,
who was sixty two was killed. Deputy say her husband
then shot and killed Walker after the fight continued outside
and Michael was able to grab his handgun from a car.
Speaker 2 (19:00):
While the Hatcher family is mourning.
Speaker 17 (19:02):
Holly's loss, they say the support of the community was
giving them strength.
Speaker 4 (19:07):
We've cried, we've hurt, and we've hugged, and we have faiulned.
More love than we have ever known has existed between us,
in between you to.
Speaker 25 (19:21):
Thirty one years in law enforcement for any I have
never seen anything like it in my entire career.
Speaker 23 (19:26):
Just Rockingham Sheriff Brian Hutchinson said yesterday that Walker had
no history of criminal or violent activity prior to the attack.
He detailed the timeline beginning on Friday, August first, when
Walker rented a campsite, took a tour, then went to
Walmart and bought a sleeping bag and a large knife
before returning to the campsite. Sometime early Saturday morning, Walker's
(19:50):
car damaged the entrance to the Caverns gift shop, but
nothing was taken.
Speaker 17 (19:56):
The sheriff says Walker then drove off and then into
a ditch where left the car. He wasn't seen again
until the attack. Late Sunday night. Holly is being remembered
as kind and selfless. Her school says her legacy. We
felt throughout the halls and in her classroom.
Speaker 3 (20:12):
That's a really sad at taxpayer relief shot. And notice
we know nothing about the perpetrator other than obviously there
was something really wrong with him. Okay, let's see, uh
double click that one and an apartment resident well, an
apartment three armed intruders.
Speaker 26 (20:35):
Imagine that Welcome back in saw eleven minutes after six
developing right now.
Speaker 15 (20:40):
One person has been killed following a shooting near the airport.
Speaker 24 (20:43):
Stopping at the Wood Hollow apartments.
Speaker 5 (20:45):
On Sahara and near San Pedro.
Speaker 24 (20:47):
And that's where we find our Sylvia Rincombe this.
Speaker 2 (20:49):
Morning with more.
Speaker 5 (20:51):
We just got an update moments ago.
Speaker 6 (20:53):
We have learned from investigators that they were three intruders.
One of them is dead, the other two are still loose.
Now we have also learned that the people inside there
was about six a man, a woman, and four small
children under the age of ten.
Speaker 5 (21:08):
They tell us that it was about three o'clock in.
Speaker 6 (21:10):
The morning when these intruders forced their way into this
apartment up there at the top of the second floor.
And we are also learning that those intruders had handguns
on them and were threatening the family. They were in
the process of taking things when one of them pinned
down of the man who was inside. At one point,
that man got loose, grabbed his own handgun and started
(21:33):
shooting at the intruders. One of them is dead here
at the scene. The other two took off. Police are
currently looking for those individuals. It's not clear exactly what
they were taking they said, though it is obvious that
they were taking items from inside that home.
Speaker 5 (21:49):
Fortunately, though the children and.
Speaker 6 (21:51):
The two adults were not injured, this is still an
ongoing investigation and this is still a developing scene. Reporting
live on the city's north side. I'm so fring good
news for San Antoo.
Speaker 3 (22:01):
Wow three San Antonio. I wonder if I'm just wondering
I can help wonder where the illegal aliens. An intruder
brings a knife in a baseball bat to the wrong house.
Speaker 11 (22:15):
A man is dead after shooting at a home along
Lick Branch Road this afternoon.
Speaker 21 (22:19):
Our Joe of Christoph Ferrow has some details for us.
Speaker 5 (22:22):
Tonight.
Speaker 24 (22:23):
Law enforcement were on Lick Branch Road in Kanawha County
for most of Friday, after they say a man fatally
shot an armed intruder on his property.
Speaker 11 (22:31):
It is very scary.
Speaker 19 (22:32):
I mean, you're out here in the country, you know,
people are kind, and then this happens, and it just,
I don't know, it just kind of startles you.
Speaker 24 (22:40):
It was just after twelve thirty pm when police save
the homeowner arrived to his property where he was met
with the arm suspect who did not live there inside
of his home.
Speaker 25 (22:48):
That individual came to the door and met the homeowner
at the doorway, and the individual was he had several
weapons on him. Fight ensued between the two and the
homeowner pulled a firearm and fatally shot the intruder that
it was in his home.
Speaker 24 (23:07):
Police say the homeowner was here on Lake Branch Road
working on his property, which is not his primary residence,
when he was met with an intruder on the porch
who was armed with a baseball bat and a knife.
Police say the struggle moved from the porch down into
the yard, where the homeowner, who was armed, pulled his
gun and shot the other man.
Speaker 25 (23:22):
So we'll have to kind of retrace all the steps.
They'll have to find all of the you know where
the firearm, where the firearm was fired. They'll have to
find all of the discharge from that and any evidence
that pertains to that, the weapons that were.
Speaker 3 (23:34):
Involved, they'll look at that.
Speaker 25 (23:35):
They'll look at the placements of where that evidence fell
versus you know, injuries to the victim as well as
the suspect.
Speaker 24 (23:44):
Police say this is still an active investigation and at
this time no formal charges have been filed against the
homeowner in Canagg County. Joe to Christa Farrow High witnessed.
Speaker 3 (23:53):
News knife plus baseball bat is not greater then go
less and learned.
Speaker 27 (24:03):
International Police were called to the property about eleven pm
last night after receiving a triple one call from a
person who was not present at the address. They told
the emergency call taker that a man was allegedly armed
with a knife. He was threatening to hurt both himself
and his partner.
Speaker 3 (24:22):
Due to the.
Speaker 27 (24:23):
Information provided to police at a time, officers have established
a safe forward a point and made the tactical decision
to arm themselves. As police approach the address, a woman
has run out of the house, closely followed by a
man in possession of a hunting knife. Please believe the
woman was in risk of imminent serious harm and fired
(24:45):
a single shot which hit the man. An officer has
approached the man to provide first aid. The woman has
picked up the knife and began to threaten officers. Despite
an appeal for her to put down the weapon, she
has advanced on police, brandishing the knife. A second shot
(25:06):
was fired, assing the woman. Officers immediately provided medical assistance. However,
unfortunately she has died at the scene. Are you confident
the right tactical option was used in this case? The
tactical options that were used in this case will perform
a large part of the investigation. I think it's an
(25:26):
appropriate mean to say at this stage about whether they
were the right decisions at the time.
Speaker 19 (25:32):
What other tactical options were available to the officers at
the scene.
Speaker 27 (25:36):
So, again, the tactical options that were available at the
time will perform part of the investigation. My understanding that
they had the normal, full array of tactical options that
our frontline have available to them.
Speaker 11 (25:47):
Is it standard to be armed when like this?
Speaker 27 (25:51):
Decisions about arming when going to jobs is a case
by case and based on the threat that was there
at the time. And again, if this is a situation
where the triple one call to police highlighted that a
mail at the address was certainly not only himself with
a with a knife, but the other occupant was there
as well, believed to be his partner.
Speaker 5 (26:10):
Is this a shoe to kill sort of situation?
Speaker 26 (26:12):
What was spoos on police policy?
Speaker 8 (26:15):
But that kind of.
Speaker 27 (26:16):
Situation, Well, well, I can tell you there's not a
policy and police to shoot to cool, how staff use
firearms and in the protection of themselves and others, there's
no such thing as that. What I will say is
that the actions of police are going to be subject
to this investigation, and we need to definitely investigation dunfold
to tell us this.
Speaker 3 (26:37):
I got so many questions. So you get a call,
the call gets dispatched, then you make the decision whether
or not to arm yourself based upon the call. So
they're walking around with or driving around whatever there, or
maybe they're maybe they're not out patrolling. Maybe they're just
(27:00):
all at the you know, they're at the precinct, they're
all at the headquarters, just waiting for a call to
come in. Okay, guys, we got to call somebody with
a knife in a house somewhere. You anybody who wants
to go okay, all right, you want to go? Who
do you want to go? Okay, you too want to go? Now?
Do you want to take weapons or not take weapons?
(27:20):
Well they said they had a knife. Well you want
to take one of the baseball bats? Or what do
you want to do? Here? Good grief? Let's see a
man brings an air gun? Well, how's that work out?
I wonder?
Speaker 26 (27:33):
Well, we are learning more about a standoff in Bellevue
that ended with police shooting and killing the suspect. Neighbors
called nine one one last Thursday night reporting a man
charging at people with a sword. It happened along North
of Way at about eight fifteen pm. That's when police
say the man barricaded himself in his town home. The
SWAT team tried to negotiate with him, but officers say
(27:54):
he started firing an airsoft rifle, so police shot back,
ultimately killing him.
Speaker 3 (28:04):
At least six shots.
Speaker 26 (28:06):
At least Bellevue police say they have dealt with the
man before. The Independent Forest Investigation Team is now handling
the case.
Speaker 3 (28:14):
I thought that was a talk back for a second.
More more tax by relief shots.
Speaker 16 (28:18):
Next, Oh, having needs to help us if Michael is
considered an influence there, Okay, but.
Speaker 2 (28:26):
His influencer really above host or talent.
Speaker 3 (28:30):
Really, and my influence is about about the size of
a molekey. Twelve yeah, twelve yeah. All right, let's see
a man brings a knife to a gunfight because we're
doing tax pay relief shots. Because it's Friday.
Speaker 28 (28:42):
