Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello to your beautiful spleen satellite. It's Crystal ol SASA
back with another episode of Crystal's Nightcap. Thanks for being
here tonight. It's week one of the Diddy Trials. Here
in New York City, Kim Kaye takes a stand in Paris.
Miley Cyrus is rekindling her relationship with her family. I
go back home for Mother's Day weekend. We go wedding
food tasting, I interview d DG. We also finally get
(00:22):
to meet my twin Jojo Siuall.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
Sit back, relax.
Speaker 1 (00:34):
It's Crystal's Nightcap and I hope you had a great
Mother's Day weekend. We're going to get into mine, but
first I'll tell you what's going on in the streets.
What is the word on the curb? We are sharing
the cheese man.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
Yo, have you seen this dig out? Really? Oh my god,
we can't believe it. We're sharing the cheese man. We're
sharing the cheese.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
Manus wait, I love this tea. One of Beyonce's backup
(01:19):
dancers is opening up about when she got proposed to
on stage back in twenty sixteen. I don't know if
you remember this, but her name is Ashley Everett, and
this happened right as Beyonce's performing Cuff at the end,
and then she's like, beyond his stops a show and
it says, I need someone to come up here. So
then Beyonce brings up another one of her backup dancers.
His name is John Silver, and he does a little
(01:40):
speech about how you know, Ashley say that I don't
show the world that I love you, but here we are.
He gets down on one knee and he proposes to
Ashley in front of everybody, a huge sold out crowd,
and then she kind of like nods her head, gives
him a hug, gives them a smooch, and then things
be and then Beyonce's like, I bet you you're gonna
(02:02):
have a touch tie with the coreo now kind of joking. Now,
this backup dancer actually she hopped on a podcast and
said that as soon as he did that, that was
the beginning of the end for them. As she's talking
about how she is not a huge, over the top
kind of gal when it comes to things like that,
she says, when it comes to Valentine's Day, she prefers
(02:23):
just a rose instead of having the whole house decorated
that she is on the more low key side of life,
so when her boyfriend proposed to her, in her head,
she was just thinking, boy, you don't know me at all,
Like why are you doing this? And then she even
asked her backup dancers who allowed this? This is embarrassing,
(02:44):
Like I would not have chosen for this to go
this way. They were already dating for six years before
the proposal.
Speaker 2 (02:51):
So then she kept dating him.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
They were engaged, YadA, YadA, YadA, but it just did
not stay right with her, so three years after the proposal,
they broke up. She said that she was trying to
plan the wedding, she was trying to do these things,
but it was just her gat was telling her girl runaway,
And she even felt guilty, saying that Beyonce gave her
that moment. She felt like everyone kind of had this
(03:15):
couple and marriage hyped up, but she just could not
go through with it, so that ended up breaking up.
Seeing her clipping that podcast, she looks like she's totally
fine living her best life. I mean, that is a
lot of time, nine years together, but you know, it's
better to have nine years with somebody and have it
broken up than more than that or almost half a
(03:35):
lifetime together with someone that you just regret being with
every single day of your life.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
So I'm not mad at that.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
I do feel like, before a proposal, why don't you
know what your partner is gonna want out of her proposal.
I feel like when Zaddi and I start talking about
our proposal and getting married and all those things, I
told him all I wanted was my family there. And
I did also feel like a public proposal would be cringe.
(04:04):
You know, a basketball or baseball game. Cringe in front
of a huge crowd of strangers.
Speaker 2 (04:09):
Cringe. Even though I.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
Am an out there person, I do have a loud personality.
I like attention on my own terms. I like to
be in control of how I get attention. If someone's
like pushing attention onto me, I am not good under
that kind of pressure.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
And I just don't like it.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
And I even though am loud, even though I do
like attention, again, I like to be in control of it,
and I think like a proposal, I just I don't
need a whole bunch of strangers around for it. So
I was really thankful the way that Zadi planned and
my family helped plan our proposal because I.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
Feel like it was perfect. I feel like it could
not have gone better.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
I couldn't have asked for anything more, and it was
such a surprise. But I also want to touch on
the fact that sometimes you'll get opposed to and it
just is not going to work out. Lucky for me,
I know that Daddy is my man and we are
going to be together and we're I'm in the planning
phases of our wedding and I don't feel any type
of way about it. But if you are getting cool feet,
(05:15):
you are getting second thoughts and you're just thinking I
don't know about this, it is never too late to
back down. And as I mentioned before, I feel like
people that are proposing should know what the person wants.
If you're boothing is more of a low key person,
or maybe even ask them what would their dream proposal be,
or have other people ask what they want so you
(05:37):
can have an idea. I know one person that I'm
not going to say no names, but I do know
one person that literally gave their boyfriend instructions on how
not to propose, and he literally proposed that way and
we were all flabbergasted, but they went through with the proposal.
They went through with the weddings and they're they're still
(06:00):
so I am od at them, but I just also
just thinking, why would you do proposal not the way
that your partner would want it to be.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
It does make no sense to me. Interesting tea, Interesting tea.
Speaker 1 (06:13):
Thanks for Sharon Queen. Good luck to you and finding
your love. I know they're out there somewhere. He'll come
to you, Ashley.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
He will.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
Now the Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. T is so
funny because they deatas are going to trial. Not only
are they going to trial, but Justin Baldoni's lawyer, who
is just known for being one of the biggest cloud
tracers in the world, and I respect him for it.
He wants the testimonies to be broadcasted live at Madison
Square Garden and I'll be buying the front row ticket.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
Yes, at court side.
Speaker 1 (06:40):
I will be court side of the broadcasted testimony from
the court case Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. So funny
to me. But also Taylor Swift got swindled into this
somehow and her people are not having it now. Just
to reset in December, Blake Lively sued Justin Baldoni for
(07:01):
alleged sexual harassment and the smear campaign that him and
his publicists ran on Blake to ruin her career, which
Lightweight kind of ish worked, but Baldoni denied all the
allegations and counter sued Blake and her husband Roald Ryan Reynolds,
saying that this was civil extortion and defamation, and they
(07:22):
also want to sub Juanna Taylor Swift. They want Taylor
Swift to pull up and defend herself, alleging that Taylor
Swift is part of this because when Blake and Ryan
areo a scene from the movie, it ends with us,
Taylor Swift pulled up and was advocating for them, saying,
oh my gosh, whoever wrote this scene so good? And
(07:42):
justin being like, Okay, you guys know what you're doing.
You're not gonna use Taylor Swift to kind of swindle
me out of something that I'm.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
Out here directing.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
Now. Taylor Swift's team they're heck a mad because they're like,
yo yo, yo, yo yo. Do not bring Taylor into this.
She did not set foot on the set. She had
nothing to do with the film or issues around the film.
There is no reason for this appoint other than to
distract from the facts that the case is just a
burden and it's an expense on the non party. That's
(08:15):
what Taylor Swift's attorneys are saying that the only connection
that Taylor has to the movie is her green lighting
her song My Tears Ricochet, and that is it. I
cannot wait for this to be on the screen, am
asked the Square Garden. I want to see every single
second of it. This is kind of, in a way,
(08:35):
reliving the Johnny Depp amber Heard case. It's definitely more
a lighter I mean, we're not talking about physical abuse here,
and that case was tough. I mean, pooping in the
bed that was an iconic courtroom moment if we've ever
seen one. I just feel like this is getting blooms
super out of proportion. But I'm going to be here
(08:56):
every single second watching what's going on. Justin Baldoni had
been on a social media hiatus for the past few weeks,
but he did post like a happy Mother's Day post
with his family, which is adorable. And Blake She's still
her and Ryan Reynolds are still Oudi's and abouties She's
been promoting even different movies and shows and stuff, so
(09:16):
she's kind of back to normal ish. I wonder what's
gonna happen here. And as I've said, up, I don't
know if I've talked to you about this, but I
feel like it's just two petty people going back and forth.
And Justin Baldoni, he's kind of crusty to me. That
whole Schmer campaign that he did with his publicist, Like
who does Like, what kind of grown man does that?
What grown man is like, I'm gonna take this woman
(09:38):
down like on social media, Yeah, let's make these things
go viral. You're weird for that. I wonder what a
judge is gonna say. He's probably gonna be like this
is so childish, because it is. But I stand and
there's more and more trials. I mean, this week in
New York City, we had the Diddy case start, We
had the jurors that were picked. If you don't follow
(09:59):
Rotten Mango on YouTube, you showed her name is Stephanie Sue.
She's one of my favorite storytimers, and she is in
the courtroom for the Ditty case every single day that
they've been in core and she gives such a detailed
journalistic view of what's going on. I mean, she tells
you what the courtroom smells like. She tells you what
the tones of every single lawyer. She tells you exactly
(10:20):
how many hairs are on Ditty's chin. You need to
watch Stephanie Sue Rotten Mango her take on what's going
on inside the courtrooms, because it is a one journalism.
Speaker 2 (10:32):
But we saw the jurors were picked.
Speaker 1 (10:34):
There's I believe eight men for women, which is that's
kind of rough. I don't know why it's like that.
I don't know why I wasn't fifty to fifty. But
today was the day that Cassie took the stand in
her testimonial, and I think that we all really need
to work on guarding our hearts from what we read
and what we see online because a lot of these
(10:56):
allegations are so riddled with the devil. They're so negative,
they're so gross. They make you just squirm while you're reading.
It's hard to look away because this is I mean,
Diddy is and was one of the biggest celebrities on
the planet, so seeing this takedown of him is I mean,
(11:19):
all of her eyes are on it. But as I mentioned,
it is really heavy stuff for the heart. So I
just want you to keep that in mind. I want
you to guard your heart. I feel like it was
so brave for Cassie to take the stand today. She's pregnant.
Hella pregnant on the stand. That's not easy for any
woman to go through, especially a woman that's out here
incubating and trying to keep her peace during this time
of forming a child in her womb.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
So I really I extend my.
Speaker 1 (11:44):
Heart to her and I'm just giving her so much
love and empathy during this time, because this is the
last thing you want to do when you're pregnant, is
reliving the most traumatic moments, most violent moments of your life.
So love to her and her husband that's sticking by
her through these really tough times. This is gonna get dirty,
(12:05):
this is gonna get super rough, So buckle up, guard
your heart. If some things are just a little too
much to read, be careful. And I really am hoping
for justice to be served. If all these allegations are true,
the judge will rule in the favor of what's right.
(12:27):
That's what I'm hoping for. We saw Kim k today.
She took the stand and did her testimonial against those
men that came up on her in Paris during the
heists and tied her up in a robe, giving her
the most traumatic moment of her life.
Speaker 2 (12:44):
Kim k she is such a boss.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
She pulled up to the courtroom to testify, dripped, dripped
in diamonds, kind of with a big old L on
her forehead, saying loser to these guys that caused so
much harm in her heart.
Speaker 2 (13:00):
That is such a boss move to do that.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
I mean, these men that are getting caught for stealing
millions worths of jewelry on you and now you're pulling
up to the courtroom looking at them in the eyes,
blinging like crazy, ears dripped in diamonds, a chandelier on
her necklace as she should Seeople are calling her out, saying,
didn't you say that because of this, you were going
(13:22):
to be more low key hush hush, because she's in
the courtroom.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
That's so bold of her.
Speaker 1 (13:30):
She she's a girl, she's abyss and Miss Miley Cyrus
is a rekindling things with her family.
Speaker 2 (13:36):
Now.
Speaker 1 (13:37):
Some people notice that Miley's mom, Trish unfollowed her on
Instagram and like a beautiful daughter, she came to defend
her mom. My mom and I are too tight for
anything to ever come between us. She's my best friend.
Like a lot of moms, she doesn't know how to
work her phone and somehow unfollowed me dot dot dot.
That makes total sense. I mean, I don't think my
(13:57):
mom's ever done that. I don't think anyone ever care
if my momound follow me. But satab doing crazy things
on ig and TikTok, so it must have been an accident.
But we do know that Miley has had in a
strange relationship with her father, Billy Ray Syres for the
past few years. He's been dealing with alcoholism. Some of
his other sibling some of his other children have called
him out about it. We've seen him on stage act
(14:20):
a fool and coherent. We've seen awful videos of the
way that he talks to his ex fiance. I believe
it was as she exposed him. He was just kind
of a sloppy, messy and angry drunk and would say
really awful things to her. But it looks like Milly
has been working on her relationship with her dad. She says,
(14:41):
my dad and I have had our challenges over the years.
Now in my thirties, family is my priority above all else.
I'm at peace knowing bridges have been built and time
has done a lot of healing.
Speaker 2 (14:53):
She actually posted a picture.
Speaker 1 (14:54):
Well, he posted a picture of Miley and her boyfriend
Maddix at his ranch over the weekend. And so it
does look like hairy kindling and she's growing. And I'm
also in my thirties with you, Miley, and I also
agree that my family is my priority, especially my twenties.
I feel like because I lived with my family for
(15:15):
so long, I always wanted to do my own thing,
and even for holidays, I would be with boyfriends or
be with my friends, and the last thing I want
to do is spend time with my family. But ever
since moving here to New York and exploring my own
self and putting my career in the forefront, I've been
here for a few years now and I've grown to
(15:36):
appreciate my family a lot more and get closer than
I ever have been to them, especially my brother Junior.
I feel like him and I for a while were
not close and would fight all the time. But with distance,
I've been able to appreciate even my brother Junior a
lot more and I like year going to hang out
(15:56):
with him and go out with him and have so
much fun with him and my whole family. So I'm
with you, Miley, I totally hear what you're saying. Says
I'm happy that you are rekindling with your family. Time
does help, Time can heal. There is sometimes where maybe
your family hasn't healed, maybe your own family hasn't grown,
so coming back around is not going to be the
(16:17):
most healthy thing. Some people don't grow up, but it
is good to have those conversations and to be honest
with their family and let them know how you feel.
Speaker 2 (16:24):
And if they.
Speaker 1 (16:26):
Take accountability and if they hear you out, and if
they want to work on a relationship with you, then
that's beautiful. That's how it should be. And if they
don't or they pass blame or vibes are still off,
you can be at peace with that. You can be
at peace knowing you know, I tried, and I let
them know, and this is just not the time to
(16:47):
bring that person back into my life because they still
give me the hebgenies. So that happens, just like it
does with you and I, it happens with celebrities. I'm
thankful that Miley's opening up to us a little bit
about what's going on. And I'm happy that she was
able to rekindle with her dad and her boyfriend even
came along. We'll see what's going on with them. I'm
excited for Mally's a.
Speaker 2 (17:07):
New album to drop in two weeks. Something Beautiful is
pulling up.
Speaker 1 (17:12):
She was asked to give us three words to describe
her album, and Miley said, devotion, love, fantasy, Oh May.
Speaker 2 (17:24):
Her last album dropped.
Speaker 1 (17:25):
Two years ago. Around two years ago, lest Some More Vacation.
Such a good album. I love that album. That album
reminds me of when me and Zaddie were kind of
first dating. Yeah, it was it was March, Yeah, March
twenty twenty three, four three three, twenty twenty three, and
(17:50):
I was listening to the album NonStop when him and
I went to go hang out in La when I
was there for the iHeartRadio Music Awards and he met me.
He met me down in La and it was just
so much fun, Like that weekend was so fun. We
linked up at an airbnb that had a hot tub
and we had such a great time, and then him
and I went to my hotel.
Speaker 2 (18:10):
The Roosevelt for the next two nights, and.
Speaker 1 (18:13):
We just were able to swim all day and look
up at the beautiful palm trees in LA and order
room service and just binge watch movies and.
Speaker 2 (18:24):
It was so much fun.
Speaker 1 (18:26):
I feel like I fell deeply in love with him
that weekend, and the album kind of resets it for
me because everyone I was getting ready and stuff like
that would put the album on.
Speaker 2 (18:37):
So Miley, Miley, I love you.
Speaker 1 (18:38):
I cannot wait for this next album, but I cannot
wait to feel like the era that I'm going to feel.
I feel like it's going to be my pre wedding,
my wedding planning album, because that's what I'm deep in.
Right now, we'll talk about that, how we talk about
how my food tasting went inside of a Crystal's cave
right MEO, Hello.
Speaker 2 (18:59):
Who's in here? It's so dark? Ew, what's dripping? You
have to step on something something? You're now inside Crystal's case.
Speaker 1 (19:11):
Happy Mother's Day weekend to all the mommies. I was
so thankful that I got to go back home from
Mother's Day weekend and spend it with my family.
Speaker 2 (19:18):
And Zaddi is so sweet.
Speaker 1 (19:20):
He we woke up and he's just like, happy Mother's Day, babe,
like your mom now too, which is kind of crazy.
I know that step moms have their own stepmom Day,
but I grew up with mixed families, two with step moms,
and even in my family, my Nie Niley and she's
a step mom, and she always referred to her step
(19:41):
son as her son. She was never like, that's my
step so she's always like, that's my son. So that's
how that's what I grew up watching and knowing that
if you marry someone that has kids, those are your
kids now too. And so this is the year that
me and Zaddi are engaged and we're kind of exploring
that too. And Zaddie's picked me to help parent his son,
(20:01):
which is such an honor, such an honor. So my
whole family is like, it's you know, we're celebrating you
too on Mother's Day. Even though I didn't biologically deliver him, like,
I am still treating him like my own son because
I think that's the way that you should. And he
looks up to me as he can, as another guardian
for him and someone that's gonna help him navigate the world.
(20:24):
So it was pretty fun. To be with a family
this weekend. On Saturday morning, we just got to relax.
We went to breakfast, we picked up the little duck,
my nephew, big Al, so it was me Zaddie, our son,
the Rizzler, and the little duck, big Owl. We went
to San Jose because we're going to go do some
(20:45):
stuff over there, and then we wanted to do an
escape room. I love escape rooms and I love escape rooms.
If I could do an escape room every week, I would.
Even though they're not expensive, I still love doing it.
And it's better than going to a bar. I mean,
it's not better than going to a bar, but it's
cheaper than going to a bar. If we're were we
need to kill some time, we're thinking, you know what,
instead of getting drunk somewhere, let's just go to an
(21:05):
escape room. So we d up an escape room in
Sa Jose and it was dope and what was a theme.
The theme was time machine. We're in a time machine.
We have to find a USB drive in a prison,
which is really cool. And doing what the little babies
is so fun too, because they're fun. They're so smart,
these little kids, and they helped out a lot as well,
(21:26):
and of course we escaped the five minutes to spare
so good for us. We did that and then we
headed to our food tasting. It was something that my
mom planned, something that planned, and because I was coming
home for the weekend, I invited the whole family. So
there's like ten of us, me, i'm an, a Ba,
my brother's junior, and a Sevan of course, the little duck,
(21:48):
the rizzler, Zaddi Sol all of us together, it was
about eleven.
Speaker 2 (21:51):
Of us, which brought up the bill a lot.
Speaker 1 (21:55):
I mean, this food tasting for weddings, I understand, I
completely understand, but girl, I could have catered a whole
party at Pasta Pelican for the price that I paid
for this food tasting. And I do have to say
the chefs were amazing. They were so sweet, they were welcoming,
They really put the effort in. I feel like at
the end of the day, the food did fall. It
(22:18):
did it did not meet our standards, which was kind
of tough, especially because we spend so much money on this.
But you know, you live and learn, You live and learn,
and so we're not going to use them. We even
though it was valiant effort, and thank you so much,
we really appreciate everything that differ us. We're gonna have
to go with someone else. It just it wasn't hidden
(22:40):
like it just it was not hidden. But after that,
we decided to go to my Pritimo Hector's house, and
we played Katon all night and it was so much fun.
I've talked to about Katon before, and that is as
soon as I touched down back home, I am phenan
to play Katon.
Speaker 2 (22:55):
Me and Zaddy.
Speaker 1 (22:56):
That is just our board game right now. And I've
told you that we've we've had some issues, who had
some ups and downs. We've had some nights where almost
slept in the couch because I was just so furious
at the outcome of how Zaddy and I played. But
we've been getting better. We've been getting better, and now
at this point, okay, so we're playing Gaiton, Me, my
brother juniors Stevan, and our cousin Hector, and Zaddy and
(23:18):
the boys had they we want to target. The boys
got some like or b NERF guns. So they were
just in the yard playing double seven, having the time
of their lives while we were playing Gaiton. And the
thing is that because last time Zaddy and I were
getting into little arguments over Katon, Zaddi decided to just
(23:39):
be mute the game and like not talk. So he
was It's as if we were playing with a computer
because he was not saying anything which was triggering me.
I'm like, babe, like, are you in a bad mood?
Like why aren't you talking?
Speaker 2 (23:51):
He's I'm in the game.
Speaker 1 (23:51):
I'm just in the game, Like I don't have to
be talking and keiking with you guys, like I'm I'm
in the game. So, because Zaddi is very competitive and
we've talked about this before, so we all ended playing.
I'm having a good old time. We end up wrapping
up the game. Zaddi wins, he's.
Speaker 2 (24:06):
He you know.
Speaker 1 (24:07):
We all give him around of pasi smile that he wins,
but then he still has something to complain about.
Speaker 2 (24:12):
And I just say, you are never happy. You are
never happy.
Speaker 1 (24:16):
And so on the drive home, while the babies, it's
already late, it's midnight. The babies are in the back
of the car knocked out. Me and Zaddy are yapping
and disagreeing about Katan because I tell him that I
felt like he wasn't even present playing with us.
Speaker 2 (24:32):
He didn't say anything.
Speaker 1 (24:33):
But then he says that I chirp so much that
if he claps back at me when I'm talking or
just kind of trolling during our game, that he's going
to be mean and doesn't want to say anything mean,
so he'd rather not say anything at all. But he said,
the real problem, you know, I have to give you
this scenario is so funny. The real problem was with Sevan,
my little brother. Estevan and Zaddy are ours nemesiss if
(24:56):
you didn't know my little brother, seve On, he is
six years younger than me, and he and I always
had a bond just like this, like nobody else could
ever break our bond. And so when me and Zaddy
started dating and Zaddy started coming around, the family started
noting that is Sam will get a little jealous. Someone's
getting a little jealous of Zaddi being now my right
(25:19):
hand man is out of him, and so so Stefan.
He he has an attitude in an aura and some
words sometimes when it comes to Zaddi. Now Zaddy, you know,
is the new one in our family. So he doesn't
ever want to be rude or disrespectful to a Stevan.
But when a Stevan sometimes crosses the line. Zaddi does
(25:40):
furiously clap back and doesn't like that. So so baby
beef And sometimes it's nothing real, it's all out of love,
but there there.
Speaker 2 (25:50):
Is sometimes touching between them.
Speaker 1 (25:53):
And what's really interesting is that Zaddy and a Sevan
are pretty much they're They're really similar. They are very
very similar. They're like one could almost say they are
the same person. My mom told me that when her
and Zaddy first went out alone after me and Zaddy
got serious, I think Zaddy invited my mom out to
lunch and they had like they had like a five
(26:16):
hour lunch date, and my mom told me when she finishes,
like he really reminds me of a Stema a lot,
like the way that they think and the way that
they talk and just kind of their mannerisms. They they're
really similar, and I kind of thought about that. They're
high on the HSP level a highly sensitive person. They're
high HSPs. They are both like quiet unless they are
(26:41):
feel comfortable with you. They're observers. They are introverts. They're
very smart. They're very intuitive. They're highly socially intelligent. They
pick up nonverbals very well. Their head is always on
a swivel, they know what's going on. They love cheese.
Speaker 2 (26:59):
Man. They They're just very, very similar.
Speaker 1 (27:05):
And that could be annoying too, because if like someone
is just like like, don't you don't you get annoyed
people that are like you, Like for me, like I
if people are loud and have a loud laugh and
like attention, like I kind of get annoyed people like
that because it's just like me, like, I don't I
don't need another one to be around the building. So
that's another element here. So what happened in the game
(27:26):
is soon what's in a few rounds of the first game,
a Steven rolled the die and one of the dye
kind of got lodged under the lazy Susan so it
was tilted and a stem On tilted it down, and
it's all happened that that number, that is steve On,
tilted down to gave him an advantage in the game.
Speaker 2 (27:41):
So Zadi got mad. He said, no, you cheated. It
wasn't a ten, you made it a ten.
Speaker 1 (27:46):
You better reroll, and Steven said, fine, I don't care.
So a steve On rerolled. But then Zaddy realized that
if he didn't say anything, and it kept that ten,
Zaddy would have been in an advantage as well. A
Steve On a said, so he just jumped the gun.
If Zaddy just didn't say anything and call out a
stem On, Zaddi would have gone resources as well. But
then a Stevan rerolled and a rerolled to a seven.
(28:09):
And if you've never played a caton, seven means the
robber is come in number one, and it means if
you have more than eight cards, you have to give
up half your cards. It's an incentive to not have
a lot of resources and not keep a lot of cards.
Zaddy unfortunately had eight cards, so is steve On. So
number one because it Steve On, because Zaddi told a
step On to reroll, it landed on a seven, which
(28:30):
meant that Zaddi had to give up his cards. Number
one is steve On put the robber on Zaddi's settlements,
so sabotaging Zaddi.
Speaker 2 (28:40):
So Zaddy would he was so bad, it just and
that was the turning point for the game.
Speaker 1 (28:46):
That's where Zaddi became enraged and decided to go mute
for the rest of the game. So the beef just
got even more serious and between them two and you know,
he told me that that was a reason that he
decided to go mute.
Speaker 2 (29:06):
So that was not good.
Speaker 1 (29:08):
And then on the other side of things, something is
bombastic that happened to me was that I never win.
I never won Gaton. I'm always last, like I just
I couldnot find a solid strategy with the game. But
for me, the most bombastic thing that happened was that
I finally got enough cards to make a city, and
(29:28):
all I had to do was hold on to my
cards and I had eight. I had eight, I said, Crystal,
this is the only time I even had eight cards,
because you got to get resources and stuff to have
to make moves in the game. Trust me, you definitely
want to play with your family. If you haven't played yet,
get the board game. Go on YouTube for the ten
minutes Totoral to teach you how to play. It's so
flip and fun. But the thing is that I was
(29:52):
going to roll.
Speaker 2 (29:52):
I was good.
Speaker 1 (29:52):
I had enough to make a city, and I said
out loud, I said, please, Crystal, do not roll a seven.
Do not boom. I roll a seven. I can't even
make the city. I bomb bastarded myself again. Huh so
what a shame. Zadi won I lost. The next day,
Oh yeah, Zaddy and I were gip yapping all the
way in the car about Katan for forty five minutes.
(30:14):
But we went to sleep totally fine. We woke up
the next day and we're getting ready to go to
church for Mother's Day. At our church, they had little
bouquets for us that we can make ourselves for all
the mothers and it was so sweet. And then afterwards
everyone was coming over to have brunch at our house
and we had put the men in charge of Mother's Day.
(30:34):
We said, oh, we're not gonna left a finger. Oh
we're not gonna do anything. Fellas that you guys are
gonna coordinate everything for Mother's Day. And the guy's pulled up.
My brother Junior made some fried shrimp which was amazing.
Our brother in law he made awesome tried tipped sandwiches
and fruit salads, and Zaddy just kind of hung out
(30:57):
and watched sports. But yeah, the men handled it and
they did iconically. So that was our Mother's Day weekend.
It was It was so fun with the family. I'm
happy we have to play a ton again. I need
to work on my strategies, but that wasn't that on
that The week at work also was incredible.
Speaker 2 (31:15):
I mean it was so cool.
Speaker 1 (31:17):
I've been on my TikTok high lately, so I'm very
much into the TikTok world. I was very submerged into
the life of Shaddy bay wee Ethel and then Wendy
or Thieves pulled up, and then a Z and all that,
and with Wendy came d DG. If you're not familiar
with DDG, he is Halle Bailey's baby father. Halle Bailey
(31:37):
is the woman that played Ariel in Disney's live action
aerial The First Black Ariel.
Speaker 2 (31:43):
Yes she is.
Speaker 1 (31:44):
She has a baby with a streamer and a rapper.
His name is d DG. He's been blowing up recently,
especially in the Mexican community, because he took our girl
Wendy to Japan. And you may be like, I don't
even really see what I don't know what's going on,
but for me and in the streamer world and in
the TikTok live world, it is what's going on. So
I found out that DDG pulled up to go hang
(32:06):
out with one of the shows down the hallway, and
I was so annoyed that we didn't get value for that.
But I hit up my boss. I was like, Yo,
can you please schedule an interview with him? Like he
just dropped an album. I need to get him in.
And my boss is like, say less, let's schedule it.
So my boss was able to get DDG in and
(32:26):
I was actually nervous because I am always watching clips
from this guy's stream, especially with Wendy. I was shook.
I mean, I've been working with a lot of celebrities
obviously for the past few years, and it takes a
lot for me to get nervous, but for this one,
I was actually nervous. And not only that he was
live streaming the whole thing, So the chat could really
like you or the chat could really hate you.
Speaker 2 (32:47):
But I feel like because.
Speaker 1 (32:49):
I already knew so much about him, I knew a
lot of the lore, and I respect him a lot,
and I enjoyed his album, and I respect what he's
doing for us Mahicanos. You know, we're putting him on,
He's putting us on. I had some great stuff prepared
for him. So him and his camera guy pull up
and I saw in one of his streams that he
(33:09):
was asked what would what kind of a gift you
want from a girl. He's like, I don't need nothing.
If she gives me a kit cat, I would be
really happy with a KitKat. So I ran down the
street I bought a kit cat for him. I wrote
him a thank you not and he said, not the
kit kat, And so we started giggling, and we started
getting into the interview and getting to his music and
getting to his streaming, and I even mentioned Wendy Ortiz,
and he and I had such a good combo and
(33:32):
such a good time. I wish I could have talked
to him for longer. He had to go catch a flight,
so he had to pull out. But then even towards
the end, I asked, can we do some tiktoks? And
he was so down to do tiktoks with me, and
I was so, so so thankful. And producer Melyssa, she
was coming in and watching the stream while I was
interviewing him, and she called me immediately when the stream ended.
Speaker 2 (33:55):
She was like, oh my gosh, they loved you.
Speaker 3 (33:57):
They kept saying they need to he needs to marry you,
that he needs to retire you. The chat loves you,
that you're so fun and www like winning and that
you were just the best and it was the best interview.
So they all hyped me up and then I posted
those tiktoks, and those tiktoks went crazy. All the Wendy fans,
the Wotion fans, pulled up, all the Moosters, which is
(34:18):
ddg's fan base. They're called the Moosters.
Speaker 2 (34:21):
They were all pulling up on everything.
Speaker 1 (34:23):
They pulled up to our live like there we got
on the for you page like it was going crazy.
And the interview is officially up on our Z one
hundred YouTube, So if you'd like to check out me
my interview with DDG, just go there right now. But
he was so nice, His team was great, He was
so sweet, he was open to talking about everything. I
know it could be a little rough sometimes when artists
(34:44):
come from the breakfast club and then end up with me,
because sometimes at the breakfast club they asked really tough,
hard hitting questions that could sometimes rub artists the wrong way.
Speaker 2 (34:58):
And they have their way of doing things.
Speaker 1 (34:59):
I'm not talking them like, they have their way of
doing things, and for me over here, I do ask
I do ask some questions like that, But when it
comes to the more and more personal things. I don't
want to get into things that are going to make
them uncomfortable, so I do tend to sometimes shy away
from that. But I feel like I have other strengths
(35:22):
that make the artists feel more comfortable and not so apprehensive.
So I want to say thank you to him and
the team, because I know it could be difficult sometimes
coming off of that interview and then coming into mine.
But he said that he's never felt so much love
and hospitality in an interview before, so it made me
(35:45):
feel really good and really thankful that we got to
work together.
Speaker 2 (35:49):
And it was just such a great experience working with him.
Speaker 1 (35:53):
I also got to work with a big artist in
the Mexican scene, Ivan Cornejo. He's kind of like the
I want to say, like the Billie Eilish, like the
XXX and the Mexican world. He does kind of sad
boy music there. They're kind of Gorridos adjacent. He has
that Mexican base, but he also kind of veers into
(36:16):
like soul foolish.
Speaker 2 (36:19):
Vibes as well.
Speaker 1 (36:20):
It's not super cordios, even though people kind of like
to pigeonhole him and that that was also well, that
was an interesting interview.
Speaker 2 (36:29):
He had a really great week. He was on Jimmy Fallon.
Speaker 1 (36:31):
He's been touring and he was really sick when he
pulled up, so energy was really low and he he
had to stop to cough all the time, and he
was probably on mad day quill or something like that
because it was hard for him to focus. And I
can just tell he was super, super sick, and I
felt hell a bad. I was very thankful that he
(36:53):
came in and did his best, but it was it
was tough. I I did my best. Know how much
we're going to get. We still haven't gotten approval for it.
They they were definitely tricky and what they wanted to
clip out of it. There was nothing bad that he said.
I don't feel, but I do understand because he he
(37:13):
was sick and it was it was rough for him.
And sometimes I had to agree requestion things because it's
just like, wait, what was the question? Because if if yours,
if you just need to be in bed cuddled with
some niquil, like the last thing you need and want
is for someone to be asking a whole bunch of
questions about your music and things like that. But he
was promoting new music and trying to get engulfed into
the New York City space. I just I'm thankful that
(37:37):
he did his best and that should be dropping this
week if everything gets approval.
Speaker 2 (37:43):
Hopefully.
Speaker 1 (37:45):
That was my first Mexican like Araku Namhicano artists that
I've ever interviewed, so I was really thankful that I
got to do that. And hopefully next time he's in
the city, he can pull back around so that we
can try to redo that. I know, but thought he
was hell. I felt so so bad. And today I'm
here at work. I'm in the middle of my shift
and I see my coworker walk by and she kind
(38:05):
of points ahead of her along the window, and I
see it's flippin' Jojo Seewah. Jojo Seewah was at work
today and I didn't know, so I immediately summoned them
into the studio. I said, Oh, my gosh, my twin,
what the heck? She goes Hi, Hi, nice to be you.
I've never met her before. I've never met Jojosie, even
though I feel like I have. When I was talking
to her, I feel like I already knew her. And
even alyssa producer producer Lissa was in the room. She
(38:27):
was like, have you guys met already? She seemed like
she knew you. I was like, I know, maybe she's
seen stuff that I did because back in the day,
I was Jojo Seewall for Halloween and it went it
went light way viral, and I'm always tagging her and
like trying to have her in. And she was actually
supposed to do an interview here at Z one hundred
with our coworker Keana.
Speaker 2 (38:47):
That I found out. I was like, bro, why am
I not doing?
Speaker 1 (38:49):
I love Keana and she definitely deserves to interview too,
but I'm just like, bro, Jojo Siwah is my spiritual animal, Like,
why haven't I worked with her? The interview ended up
getting canceled for some reason, and I've been begging to
get Jojo back in and I've been asking everyone come
and get Jojo in, And somehow it slipped through the
cracks that Jojo was right down the hall doing an
interview and it didn't get passed down to us.
Speaker 2 (39:08):
I was furious. I was furious.
Speaker 1 (39:11):
I called a boss and she said, oh, I think
I just the email got loss. I'm sorry, and then
my other boss walked in. I'm like did you know
Jojo Sea while was here today? And he was like no,
and I was like yeah, and he was like what
was she doing? I was like promoting a song down
the hall and he goes, what the heck that's bs.
I was like, I know.
Speaker 2 (39:28):
He was like oh, like he knew. He's like, you
don't deserve that. I was like, I know.
Speaker 1 (39:33):
She even asked, like, you know, like a wrangler. It
wasn't anybody's fall. It just it ended up somehow getting
slipped through the cracks. The communications sometimes can be tricky
around here. It wasn't on purpose, as she wasn't gate
keeped from me, but she even asked like, do you
want to do maybe a video with her? Some I
was like, I'm not prepared, girl, I look like going
on church today. My hair is crusty. I barely put
(39:56):
makeup on. I literally am wearing like I look like
I'm going to church. Like I'm not prepared to do
with Jojo siwah anything today. I love Jojo Jojo. My
time will come with you. And I'm annoyed that I
wasn't able to help her promote her song, But it
just if I'm not prepared, I'm not gonna do something
willy nilly, I don't. I I need to prepare for
I need to prepare for Jojo seawah, like I need
(40:16):
to have the entire room with bows everywhere. You know
what I'm saying, Like I need to bring a balloon
arch for her and a flipping.
Speaker 2 (40:23):
That's what she deserves.
Speaker 1 (40:24):
That's what Jojo Siwa deserves, not to just be dragged
in last million willy nilly no. So. And I always
say this, my time will come, My time with Jojo Sia.
See what I've said this from the beginning. My time
with jojosi Wa will come. I'm happy that I met
her today. She was amazing and so sweet and just
very chill. Like everything you see that's just Jojo like.
(40:47):
She's just very very chill. So I cannot wait for
our time to come. Queen, I love you so much.
I respect you so much. You are your everything. So
that's what's been going on. I told you that I'm
gonn try to be outside a little more.
Speaker 2 (40:59):
So tonight I'm.
Speaker 1 (40:59):
Going to a new lounge opening, and then tomorrow night
I get to go see Weak Good on Broadway again.
So the third time there's a new Alphaba. So I'm
excited to see her, and I'm gonna talk to her
in two weeks, so that's good. I'm gonna have an
interview with her, So i gotta go check out the
show first to give my little review and easy stuff.
And then towards the end of the week, I'm gonna
see my man's Zaddy's pulling back up, so I'm really
(41:21):
excited about that. I get to spend the weekend with him,
with Michael bothers, and I'll tell you how it all goes,
because we have some fun stuff coming up. So that
is what's going on. I think we're gonna wrap up
now with our daily motivators called great Day dot Com.
This one is called having it Done. Is there a
task you must do but don't want to The optimum
(41:43):
time forgetting to work on it is right away. You're
eager to move on to other activities that are more desirable.
Transform that eagerness into motivation for completing the unpleasant activity.
The longer you delay, the longer you'll be burdened by
your obligation to do what you'd prefer to do. Your
best option is to eliminate that burden as soon as possible.
(42:04):
Having it done with is much better than having to
get it done. Go ahead and arrive at that point
quickly for yourself to focus all your time and attention
on the activities you prefer. With discipline and diligence, you
can earn that freedom. Take the opportunity and jump right
into the work you'd rather not do. Soon you will
have left it far behind. What are some things that
(42:27):
you just don't like to do or some things that
you just push to the side all the time. I'm
trying to think. For me, I'm a very work now,
party later kind of person. If I have things I
need to get out the way, I do like getting
it out the way, so I really don't have too
much problems with that. But maybe there are some things
on your list that you haven't procrastinating on, and maybe
(42:50):
this can motivate you to finally get that thing done.
Speaker 2 (42:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (42:53):
I really can't think of anything I really need to
get done, so I'm good on that end.
Speaker 2 (43:01):
Let me know how you're doing with that.
Speaker 1 (43:02):
We're going to move on to our daily prayer. I
don't ever want to push faith, religion, anything like that
upon you. So if you're not into praying and things
like that, totally fine, I'll see you in next week's episode.
Thank you so so so much for hanging out. I love, love,
love you, and I will see you on the next one.
Now we're going to reach into our daily prayer book.
It's called Jesus Calling by Sarah Young. I suggest that
(43:26):
you pick that up this one today for May thirteenth,
says thank me in the midst, Thank me in the
midst of the Crucible. When things seem all wrong. Look
for growth opportunities. Especially, look for areas where you need
to let go, leaving your cares in my able hands.
Do you trust me to orchestrate your life events as
(43:48):
I choose? Or are you willing to try to make
things go according to your will? If you keep trying
to carry out your intentions while I'm leading you in
another direction, you defy your desires. Be on the lookout
for what I am doing in your life. Worship me
by living close to me, thanking me in all circumstances,
Thank me in the midst of the crucible. If you
(44:13):
keep trying to carry out your intentions while I'm leading
you in another direction, you defy your desires. Ooh, how
does it make you feel? Especially look for areas where
you need to let go, leaving your cares in my
able hands. Yeah, I feel like those times where we
(44:35):
get stressed about something that's happening or we don't know
the outcome of something, those are the best times to
just let go and let God. And I've been doing
that a lot lately, and it's been helping me so much.
Speaker 2 (44:45):
I really.
Speaker 1 (44:47):
I don't stress a whole lot anymore. I used to
stress so so much. I feel like I sometimes stress
about little things. So for example, when I left Sunday
evening to come back to New York City, I was
stressed for Zaddy because I feel like our families were
over and I didn't do stuff around the house, Like
(45:07):
I feel a lot of pressure to do stuff around
the house when I'm home with Zaddy because I like
a clean environment and everyone always comes over, and I
just want to make sure that when I leave Zaddy
back in his home at least it's it's clean for him.
Speaker 2 (45:21):
I don't want to have him worry about things like that.
Speaker 1 (45:24):
So when he was taking me to the airport with
our family, I'm just like, babe, I didn't do.
Speaker 2 (45:28):
This and that and that.
Speaker 1 (45:28):
He's like a babe, i'll have to do, is push
a button on the dishwasher. Like I'll have to do
is wash them of those It's going to be fine.
And so I'm just I didn't do that bad.
Speaker 2 (45:36):
I didn't do that.
Speaker 1 (45:36):
He's like, it's okay, babe, Like it's all good where
you're fine. So I feel like he helps me a
lot in the little things that I stress about that
kind of have to do with the house and up
keeping the house. I'm just like, but the reserve's room
is so dirty and this and that, and like he's
just like, it's okay.
Speaker 2 (45:51):
I'll tell him.
Speaker 1 (45:52):
I will tell him to clean it, like it'll be fine.
I feel like when I leave our home, it just perishes.
But that's not the truth. I Mean, they're there for
way more time than I'm there, so it'll all be fine.
And that says I think I kind of stress about
little things like that, but I don't really stress about
that much anymore. And I feel like it is because
(46:15):
I have been saying, God, you got it, like I'm
just gonna throw it all to you. And I know
that's not easy, and it's taken a lot of practice
because I used to suffer from a lot of anxiety,
and yeah, just kind of try my best to be
present has helped. And yeah, leaving it to God, that's
(46:37):
really what it is. My mom kind of stresses a
lot too, But she's stressing because her and my dad
are pulling up and they got flights to EWR here
Newark in Jersey, and that airport is a notorious one
that's been canceling just days of flights NonStop. But I
pulled up an AWR on Sunday night. I told my mom.
Speaker 2 (46:56):
She's like, yeah, shall we change our flights because it's AWR?
Speaker 1 (46:58):
Then can you pick us UPJFK and then drive back
to eat? And I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, that
is not necessary.
Speaker 2 (47:07):
I had a fine flight. It's gonna be fine. Just
keep the fights that you have.
Speaker 1 (47:12):
Yeah, I feel like I sometimes I'm trying to help
my mom a little bit because she begets stressed.
Speaker 2 (47:17):
But I get it, I begin it.
Speaker 1 (47:21):
Yeah, I'm staying thankful and staying present and saying thank
you and throwing it all to God can help a lot.
So I hope that when you have things coming up
that you're stressed about, control what you can prepare for,
what you can as long as you prepare your best,
that's all that you can do. Everything else who just
put it all, Shove it all in a devil bag,
shove it all in a Louis Duffel, shove it all
(47:42):
in a fake canal straight Louis Duffel, and toss it
up to God and just be like God, You're gonna
handle that. I love you, Thank you, and see how
much better you're gonna feel. So I hope that helped you.
I hope you enjoyed that prayer. If you need more
of these, you definitely should get the book by Sarah
Young Jesus calling Enjoying Peace in His Presence because it's
helped me so much and I know and to help
you too. And I just want to say thank you
(48:02):
for hanging out another episode of A Crystals Nightcap. I
love love of you, and I will see you next
week
