Speaker 2 (03:41):
What's next to San Leandro?
Speaker 1 (03:42):
It's probably like Oakland to the north right.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
I would have taken San Lorenzo or Oakland either one. Okay.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
The JV Show on Wild ninety four nine.
Speaker 3 (03:52):
Time for the four things you need a heads up
on to start your day?
Speaker 2 (03:58):

Speaker 4 (04:01):
Taylor's album details were revealed yesterday on the New Hearts podcast.
So The Life of a Show Girl is gonna drop
October third. It's got twelve tracks because it's her twelfth album,
and there's a Sabrina Carpenter collab. We're gonna be talking
more about her podcast appearance seven fifty five.
Speaker 2 (04:15):
This morning, For.
Speaker 3 (04:16):
The third day in a row, the San Francisco Giants
managed to score just one measly run against the San
Diego Padres and they got totally pounded eleven to one
at Oracle Park yesterday.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
That completed a three game suitek for the Padres. And
while they are.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
Technically will the Giants, I should say technically still alive
to make a wild card spot, the team continues to
completely the bed on the field, and I think it's
safe to say it's time to turn the page and
look ahead to next season.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
Oh no, it's done, Yeah, it's done.
Speaker 10 (04:42):
Another foggy morning, and you guys, the weather just keeps.
Speaker 12 (04:45):
Dropping a little by little.
Speaker 10 (04:47):
Highs will be in the upper seventies to mid eighties
though still nice.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
It's just not really summer weather yet. Nope.
Speaker 3 (04:53):
Hey forr go, Besty, Hey you today, today is gonna
be an eight. You're feeling somewhat more thoughtful than usual,
which is really saying something. Let the people in your
life know how much you appreciate them, particularly the ones
that may not know how you.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
Feel about them.
Speaker 4 (05:09):
Some great advice coming up seven oh five, Your chance
to win a chug bug inside?
Speaker 2 (05:13):
What the bleat? But next? I got scolded by my husband.
Speaker 4 (05:17):
Yesterday, but I feel like he had a good reason
to do it.
Speaker 2 (05:20):
I'll tell you about it next.
Speaker 1 (05:22):
The JV Show on Wild ninety four nine.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
So I got scolded by my husband yesterday.
Speaker 4 (05:28):
Let me tell you guys what happened. Okay, So this weekend,
we are going on a couple trip. Okay, we're going
to be spending a couple of days going. We're gonna
be sending a couple.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
Days in Miami.
Speaker 4 (05:37):
Were at you really excited? So yesterday we are at
the mall and we're buying. We're buying some new sunglasses. Okay,
we really need new sunglasses.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
Here's why. Do you guys? Remember last summer we.
Speaker 4 (05:49):
Took a trip to Miami and I accidentally left his
Meta ray bands out there?
Speaker 2 (05:54):
I do, So you leave them in the rental car?
Speaker 4 (05:58):
Yeah, I left them in the rental car at least
I think that's where. And those are the ones that
record and everything right? Yes, and then whoops after the
Kendrick Lamar concert, I never told you guys this part.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
I accidentally lost his Gucci glasses. How did you lose
those ones? I don't know. I didn't take up baggins.
I didn't want to be holding anything.
Speaker 4 (06:20):
So I had his glasses like like clipped onto my
shirt the entire time.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
Where are you the keeper of his? Because I was
I was.
Speaker 4 (06:26):
Wearing them because he had a different pair. Oh got
they were outside it got dark, so I didn't wear
I wasn't wearing him anymore, so I clipped him onto
my shirt. And like in all the pictures and videos
from the concert there there, I remember walking to the
car and checking they're there. But at some point after that,
between getting into the car and getting home, and I
(06:47):
don't know what happened to them.
Speaker 3 (06:49):
Oh no, so sunglasses enter a car with you and
then they just.
Speaker 2 (06:53):
And they did they disappear? And then when we were
in Vegas, you know, just a couple of weeks. That's
not possible.
Speaker 4 (07:02):
Not sunglasses. But I you know, I sometimes I wear
a diamond grill that he got me.
Speaker 2 (07:07):
I lost that in Vegas. How was that possible? I
don't know. Maybe I took it.
Speaker 4 (07:13):
I either took it out to eat, or I could
have sworn like I maybe because I was really drunk
last night there.
Speaker 2 (07:23):
Maybe it was on the nightstand.
Speaker 4 (07:24):
I could have sworn like I saw it there when
I was like scrambling the pack to go back to
the airport, and like I threw it in my bag,
but I can't find it anywhere. And so yesterday we're
at the mall and he's buying me more sunglasses and
he was like, look, you need to tighten up and
be a little bit more responsible.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
About Yeah, I was still buy you new ones. I
thought he was gonna be like, sorry.
Speaker 3 (07:48):
At that point, you got for now you go through
a couple of expensive pairs. I'm getting you the pair
from a like I'm taking you down like these look
just as good.
Speaker 4 (07:57):
I feel like when I'm with him, I just let
my guard Dan and I don't have to be like
responsible because he looks after everything.
Speaker 2 (08:03):
Honestly, Selena, I don't blame you, thank you. You'll be
the same way.
Speaker 3 (08:07):
What are you talking about. We're happy to look after
you in the greater sense. We don't want to be
picking up your items as you drunkenly drop them all
over a Vegas casino floor.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
That ain't our job. It hasn't. It's because you don't
know the feeling. Graham like, we were just like in
our own little world, because we're so happy. If you comfortable,
you know, we're like in Lalla Land.
Speaker 10 (08:26):
Also, we have so many accessories to already carry on us.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
Thank you that they kind of just you place something
somewhere and then you play something and everything.
Speaker 4 (08:36):
Bags these days they're so tiny, like you can barely
fit a cell phone in it, so it's like where
are you supposed to put everything?
Speaker 10 (08:41):
And a lot of places you can't even take a
bag inside sometimes if you're out and about at like
a concert or something.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
Right, well, like I said, lose your own crap.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
I don't care you start losing my stuff, then we
have a problem if you want.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
To live this care free, fancy free life.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
Because I feel so comfortable with you that I can
feel it all my expensive belongings on the ground and
give them away at hotels, like, don't bring my stuff
into that equation.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
You lose your own stuff.
Speaker 4 (09:07):
I honestly, I've never lost so many things like in
my life and have just been within the last like
I have a few months.
Speaker 2 (09:15):
But you have. But it's never been like expensive things
like that.
Speaker 10 (09:18):
That's why I on purpose buy cheap glasses just because
I know I'm gonna lose them, and then it's not
as bad.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (09:24):
I guess to go through life. I don't lose anything.
I lost one pair of sunglasses every once You're gonna
Texas at hotel where they were stolen, but I lost
one pair. Ever, I've never lost a phone, I've never
lost my wallet. I've never lost my sunglasses except that
one time in Austin at a hotel. I was pretty drunk. Fine,
(09:45):
bring it on, world, Yeah, the JV Show on Wild
ninety four nine.
Speaker 4 (09:52):
All right, so let's talk about the scary situation at
your parents' house, Graham.
Speaker 3 (09:55):
Yeah, in today's edition of Damn You're Scary. First off,
I just want to tie this in with the story
I saw the other day on the news because a
woman in Massachusetts posted this video of a bear that
had just totally ransacked her truck, and she says it
was all because she left some sunflower seeds, a little
bag of sunflower seeds in her truck.
Speaker 1 (10:15):
A bear destroyed it. And I was like, bears like
sunflower seeds.
Speaker 3 (10:19):
And then my dad sends me this video if you
want to go see it, it is up JV Morning
Show on Instagram. Because he heard a loud crash in
the night and he got up and he turned on
the lights on his back porch and.
Speaker 1 (10:33):
Scared.
Speaker 3 (10:34):
There was a giant bear on his back porch and
what was it eating all his sunflower seeds?
Speaker 2 (10:40):
Are kidding me? Why is your dad have a bucket
of sunflower seeds? Well, you know a better question.
Speaker 3 (10:44):
Well, you know old people they like to start putting
a bird seed and sunflower seeds and bird feeders, and
you know it's like see the birds come run, you know,
old people stuff. And so he had this big bin
on their back porch and that's where he kept like
the bird seed, and then he also had a big
bag of sunflower seeds in there.
Speaker 2 (11:03):
Sprinkled.
Speaker 3 (11:03):
My god, the squirrels come around to the bird feeder,
you guys that they love sunflower seeds and they're so
cute and anyways, and so he had a bunch of
sunflower seeds in there. So this bear knocks this thing open.
My dad turns the light on. Now, look, they've had
a bear visit their house before, maybe a year or
two ago. They live, I should say this. They live
in Chico, and which isn't like really total bear country
(11:24):
where they live, but I guess, you know, it's a thing.
And so one time they had a bear and he
heard something at night. He turned the light on and
do the bear like ran away. It was scared. This
one he turned the light on and you can watch
the video. This honey badger gave zero F.
Speaker 2 (11:38):
They just laid there enjoined it sunflower seeds.
Speaker 1 (11:41):
It ate all the It eate the entire bag of
sunflower seeds.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
It laid there.
Speaker 1 (11:45):
My dad's like he was there for like a half hours.
Speaker 4 (11:47):
You kind of want to go out there and like
give it a hug. I know you're not, I know, don't,
but it's so it is really cute. It looks so
big and cuddly.
Speaker 10 (11:53):
And the way he's sitting, I know, showing his little lil.
Speaker 3 (11:57):
That bear was pretty big. And my dad, you know,
he's taking this video. He's standing right inside the back door,
the glass door. I mean they're only about ten feet apart,
and the bear clearly can see him right and that
bear zero F's given. It just kept eating, eating, ate
all the sunflower seeds until it was full.
Speaker 2 (12:14):
Then my dad said, suddenly just got up.
Speaker 1 (12:17):
It walked.
Speaker 2 (12:18):
My dad.
Speaker 3 (12:18):
They have like a a very small I would I
call it like a splash pool almost.
Speaker 2 (12:24):
It's not like a big swimming pool. It went took
a swim for.
Speaker 3 (12:27):
A little while and then when it was done swimming,
then it just left.
Speaker 2 (12:31):
I was like, dude, this bear is just living light.
Oh my god.
Speaker 3 (12:35):
But yeah, very it scared him, you know, in the
middle of the night because they heard this crashing around,
thinking somebody's breaking into the house or something.
Speaker 4 (12:41):
When it walked off, was it on all fours or
on two feet? Because the one in Happy Gilmore to
that bear walking on two feet.
Speaker 3 (12:48):
Yeah, yeah, this walks on all fours. Okay, yeah, like
normal bears.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
They should just keep the bear.
Speaker 3 (12:54):
Well, I was like, well, what are you going to do?
You got to find somewhere new to hid your you know.
Speaker 2 (12:59):
See out every night. So the bear keeps coming back.
It's so cute. You don't want that bear to keep
coming back.
Speaker 4 (13:04):
I saw a video yesterday on Instagram. This guy he
rescued like this little like a newborn puppy. It was
like a puppy, like in the middle of the road.
He's like, oh my god, Like what, like what mom
and dog would leave this little baby?
Speaker 2 (13:17):
Maybe was like the runt of the buncher who knows.
Speaker 4 (13:20):
Yeah, he rescues it and then he takes it home
and he's caring for it.
Speaker 2 (13:23):
Yeah, it wasn't a puppy.
Speaker 4 (13:24):
It was a bear cub and now this guy has
a cub at his house. But he was feeding a
little baby bottle and my bathing it and it was
so cute.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
But then it grew and it had like claws and things.
It was kind of scared. You think that's a Disney movie.
You're just cried. I know that was king. He had
to like turn it in at some point.
Speaker 4 (13:44):
But for a while he had like a little baby
cub and it was like his friend, isn't that cute?
Speaker 3 (13:49):
It would be kind of cute. They are kind of cute,
but the big ones there mean, you know, you don't know.
You let them eat whatever you got and swim in
your pool.
Speaker 1 (13:57):
If they want to do that. A lot of hair
in the pool though. My dad was annoyed. He's like, God,
I gotta.
Speaker 3 (14:01):
Get the net out because of those like there's just
hair everywhere. Yeah, that's what happens if a bear swells
in your pool.
Speaker 4 (14:08):
The story you're talking about that you saw in the
news where the car the bear broke into a car
h to get to the sunflower seeds. Did it like,
like was the car like destroyed after that.
Speaker 3 (14:18):
Or did they get in there because you like when
you go to Yosemite or something, they say, don't leave
any food in the car, because bears have figured out,
like this is pretty easy, and they're strong enough where
they can that doesn't matter if your doors are locked.
They can figure out a way to get in there,
and they can crazy and usually when they get in there,
sometimes they accidentally get stuck, and at which case they
take out their aggression on all your seats and interior
(14:40):
and they just throws and they just thrash through everything. So, yeah,
you don't want to leave any food in there. My
dad's like, I guess I got to keep these some
flower seeds inside from now on. The bear can smell
them inside. Do you want them ripping your door off?
Speaker 2 (14:52):
Now?
Speaker 4 (14:53):
Would be scary but great for TikTok, right, Yeah?
Speaker 2 (14:57):
Have they posted this video because they need to go viral,
so viral right now, they're so viral among Oh but
you should yep, I'll let him know.
Speaker 3 (15:08):
Activate your TikTok account. Yes, trying to make some money.
Bear eating your seeds fotest.
Speaker 12 (15:16):
It's all the stuff you need to know what's hot
in music, movies, shows, and the most talked about stories
happening today in the bay.
Speaker 4 (15:24):
So Jason Momoa had a near drowning experience. You probably
saw this trending online. This is so scary. So earlier
this week, he was on a podcast to talk about
his Blue Apple TV series Chief of War.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
Have you heard about this podcast? Gram SmartLess Yesday, Jason Bateman,
Sean Hayes, Will Arnett right here. That's very good.
Speaker 4 (15:45):
Yeah, he was on that one, and Jason Momoa was
talking about how he was one time surfing with his
friend and they were with a couple of professional surfers.
They're in Hawaii and they're going like thirteen miles down
the coast.
Speaker 6 (15:58):
I look thirteen miles on the coat and you're kind
of almost a mile offshore. And then my leash snapped,
and I was We're about seven miles into it, and
my leash snapped in the ear.
Speaker 1 (16:10):
It's so windy on now, and so the board just went.
Speaker 4 (16:12):
So the leash that connects him to the surfboard snaps.
The board just the ocean just takes it away, and
so he's just out there by himself, trying to like
stay afloat what ended up happening.
Speaker 6 (16:23):
I was out there for a while and then I
just couldn't see anyone coming to get me, and I
couldn't move anymore, and my arms and my legs gave up.
After you know, I was out there for a while.
Speaker 4 (16:33):
He says that he just his body just gave up,
like he was just he was done, couldn't move anymore.
That's like my worst far to the bottom.
Speaker 1 (16:41):
And that a dolphin rose up out of.
Speaker 3 (16:42):
The would have been a great one time, I shall
help you. And then he rode on the back of
the dolphin all the way into the shore.
Speaker 2 (16:51):
And that's not what happened, unfortunately.
Speaker 4 (16:53):
So eventually one of the other guys comes up behind
him and gets him. They got his board back, They
essentially rescued him taking.
Speaker 2 (16:59):
Back to sh or.
Speaker 4 (17:00):
Jason Momoa even even cut his feet on a coral
reef like trying to stay above water. He said, this
entire ordeal is what made him stop smoking, Like he
was smoking two to three packs a day really, and
he says on this podcast quote, I couldn't stop for
my kids, couldn't stop for my eggs.
Speaker 7 (17:17):
And the moment I came out, I told and he's
like never smoking again. A little scratch on my foot.
Speaker 2 (17:24):
I think it made him just really value his life,
like that's so scary. Men are interesting.
Speaker 3 (17:28):
Men are so made him value his life or realize
that he needed better cardio ability because I'm tired after
treading water for two minutes.
Speaker 2 (17:37):
Yeah, maybe a little bit of both.
Speaker 10 (17:38):
I always wonder if I if I somehow landed myself
in a situation like that because I can't swim, Like,
would there just be like a natural instinct to somehow.
Speaker 3 (17:48):
Learn how to swim in that you're gonna need that
dolphin I just talked about to come rescue you and
they might never know, but like, be nice to nature
because they might save your butt. But yeah, us having
the ability to swim as a valuable skill that you
might need survival.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
You, honestly you might need. Should take some swimming lessons.
I've thought about it. I just don't want to be
in a class with kids. There's there's private lessons with kids.
I also don't want to pay money I teach you.
I used to teach swim lessons.
Speaker 3 (18:18):
I just taught my daughter to swim, and now she's
phenomenal in the pool.
Speaker 10 (18:21):
Really, how many sessions did it take?
Speaker 2 (18:24):
What too?
Speaker 3 (18:26):
And now shes But and then also just time in
the water. You got to spend some time in the
water just swimming around. You know, you got to be
motivated to want to be.
Speaker 2 (18:33):
Able to swim right, You're right, are you in? I'm
going to throw myself in the ocean to see if like.
Speaker 3 (18:37):
No, I just said, sneaker and no dolphins that care
about you.
Speaker 2 (18:44):
You don't have any dolphin friends yet. He's yeah, really quick.
Wendy Williams cognitive test results.
Speaker 4 (18:49):
So, you know, Wendy's been trying like crazy to get
out of this guardianship that she's been under for a
couple of years now. This guardianship is taking away her
ability to make decisions on her own, especially when it
comes to finances, and that's been a really big thing
because you know, she can't access her own money. If
there is even any money left in there at this point,
who even who even knows?
Speaker 2 (19:09):
So she took a series of cognitive tests this.
Speaker 3 (19:11):
Week and person woman man camera, it was that kind
of she nailed it.
Speaker 4 (19:19):
According to this report, the results back up her original
diagnosis that she does have front of temporal dementia in
a phase.
Speaker 2 (19:27):
I remember she was trying to say she's fine, and
we've even heard her. You know, remember for a while
she was doing interviews and shed it sounded fine. But
according to these tests, no, she definitely has times.
Speaker 4 (19:39):
That are good good days and bad days. Yes, and
that's what we said here on the JV Show. But yeah,
according to these results, she does actually have this going
on with her, so person, she's not going to be
getting out of that guardianship anytime soon.
Speaker 2 (19:51):
I don't know if tell me how did I just
remember that?
Speaker 3 (19:53):
And I just said that in a minute ago, I
would ace one of these tests.
Speaker 2 (19:57):
Grammy, what do you have? All right? Something super? Knowing
that most of us have probably done.
Speaker 3 (20:01):
You're at the grocery store short line at the self checkout,
so you jump over there, you're about to start unloading
your basket, and that's when you realize, Ah, I've got
some alcohol I'm trying to buy.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
We all know you can't self check out that booze.
Speaker 3 (20:12):
Well that might be going away soon because there's a
new bill that's been introduced to the California State Senate
that would potentially make it legal to purchase alcohol at
the self checkout, as well as a few other changes.
The intent of this bill is actually a bunch of
other things that will improve grocery store working conditions. But
grocers are saying this is only going to drive up costs,
(20:33):
and to help offset those costs, we want a provision
that allows alcohol sales at self checkout? Did you guys
know that California is the only state in the entire
nation that bans alcohol sales? So apparently apparently it works
everywhere else. You just scan your ID after you scan
whatever alcohol item. You have to have a valid ID
(20:54):
and you scan that and then you're able to complete
your transaction.
Speaker 1 (20:58):
It works everywhere else. Why not here?
Speaker 2 (21:00):
I guess? Like, what stop in someone who's underage from
using somebody else's ID?
Speaker 3 (21:04):
Well, can't they have some kind of camera thing that
matches your face with the face on the ID or something?
I mean technology? Hello, it's California. We're inventing all the technology,
that's true. Can't we implement something like that? And I
don't know are we worried about I'm.
Speaker 2 (21:19):
Not saying is that maybe that's is that? Well?
Speaker 3 (21:21):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (21:22):
Is that their reasoning California?
Speaker 3 (21:24):
Obviously, of course that's the intent of is to curb
underage But I care.
Speaker 4 (21:27):
I'm twenty six and a half, So it's like I
can buy alcohol right and it doesn't affect me. Also,
underage people don't drink anymore.
Speaker 3 (21:35):
Do you see that new Gallup poll the other day
or something came out yesterday I think, and it was
like drinking in general is at a ninety year low.
And then when they broke it down by age groups,
the age group that was drinking the least is the youngest.
Speaker 11 (21:49):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (21:49):
Generation, So do we even need to worry about this?
Let me, let me buy my beer, Let me buy
my twelve pack of Medellos at the self checkout.
Speaker 4 (21:58):
Well, you know how generations are, They always do like
the opposite of the generation before them, right. I don't
know if this is true or not, but I saw
something on Instagram that said, like Millennials are the drunkest
generation ever.
Speaker 2 (22:09):
So if that's.
Speaker 4 (22:10):
True, then maybe that's why Gen Z is like drinking
is not cool because look at the millennials doing it
and then alfa will they're gonna be to drink the
driver ones.
Speaker 1 (22:20):
Yeah, let's hope save the booze business.
Speaker 2 (22:22):
Yeah, but your kids will be jen Alpha right yeah right.
Speaker 1 (22:26):
Second, the JV Show on Wild ninety four nine.
Speaker 2 (22:30):
This is what the bleep where you can win a
JV show. Chug mug. You just have to be the
first person to guess today's leeped out word is always
when you think you know what it is.
Speaker 4 (22:37):
Leave your guests on the talk back mike on the
New and Approved iHeart Radio App.
Speaker 2 (22:40):
Are you guys ready for the first listen of today's club?
Speaker 1 (22:43):
Sure?
Speaker 4 (22:44):
Nothing hurts more than stretching out your to fit something
new in there.
Speaker 2 (22:51):
Facts.
Speaker 3 (22:52):
Thank you?
Speaker 2 (22:52):
Oh wow, I understand we'll both experience this.
Speaker 3 (22:56):
Okay, interesting And is it like a warm up thing
that you do ahead of time or is it like
it happens?
Speaker 2 (23:03):
I think you just have to deal with it.
Speaker 3 (23:04):
Yeah, okay, all right, think about what that bleeped out
word could be? You sickos, and remember this is a
family show, so keep those guestses PG.
Speaker 1 (23:12):
Where do you leave a guest?
Speaker 2 (23:13):
Well? On the talkback mic on the iHeartRadio App.
Speaker 3 (23:16):
I saw somebody I was going through our JB Morning
show and scream the other day reading some comments and
somebody to come in.
Speaker 2 (23:21):
Please tell me how to leave a talkback.
Speaker 3 (23:23):
I don't know how to do that, And luckily someone
from Wild ninety for nine responded. It didn't seem very helpful,
but it is very simple. You guys, you need the
iHeartRadio app. That's step one. You download it, set us
as a preset when you see that option so we
can keep our jobs. And then after that, when you're
streaming Wild ninety for nine, there's a little red microphone
button you can record your guests right there. That's all
(23:43):
it takes to leave a talkback and it comes to
us right here in the studio. Leave us your name
and your city along with your guests there on that
talkback mic.
Speaker 1 (23:52):
And if you're the first person that gets the correct answer,
all right.
Speaker 2 (23:57):
So get those guesses and now I'm gonna play some
of your talkbacks.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
The JV Show on Wild ninety four nine.
Speaker 2 (24:03):
Thanks for hanging out with the JV Show. Happy Thursday.
I'm Selina and I'm Justice says. What the bleep? Where
you can win a JV Show chug mug.
Speaker 4 (24:09):
You just have to be the first person a guest
today's a bleeped out word correctly. Now, if you missed
today's clip, here it is one last time. Nothing hurts
more than stretching out your to fit something new in there.
All right, So when you think you know what that
word is, you leave your guests on the talk back
on the un Improved where you have let's go to
(24:29):
your guesses now, Graham, this is a family show. Okay, yeah,
you don't know what it is.
Speaker 9 (24:34):
Good morning. This is Lorena from Balo again, and I'm
kind of whispering because I don't want to wake up
my boyfriend. But I think the bleeped out word is shoe.
Stretching out your shoe, Okay, thanks bye, good morning.
Speaker 2 (24:50):
Oh that is a thing, and that's painful. Yep. You
get some new boots and they're like way too ty
and you're like, oh, you gotta you gotta get them,
you know, send them back and get a half size up.
Sometimes they don't have half size yeah, and you gotta
just make it work.
Speaker 4 (25:05):
Or you get heels that are your size, but like
the way it comes up over your foot, it's just
too tight because they're not broken.
Speaker 2 (25:10):
Sometimes the straps they just Yes.
Speaker 8 (25:15):
Good morning JV Show. This is Terry calling from Vermilion, Ohio.
And I think the bleeped out word is pocket. I
hope you all have a wonderful Thursday.
Speaker 2 (25:24):
And by stretch your pocket out.
Speaker 3 (25:28):
That was a popular guess JV Show number one and Vermillion,
Ohio by the way, you thank you.
Speaker 2 (25:33):
It ain't pocket.
Speaker 6 (25:35):
Good morning guys.
Speaker 5 (25:36):
Name is Randolf from Hercules.
Speaker 12 (25:38):
And the bleeped out word of the day is the truth.
Speaker 3 (25:42):
Stretch that truth to fit something new in there that's interesting.
Speaker 2 (25:48):
Does to fit something new in there, like some new details,
stretching the truth?
Speaker 3 (25:51):
Yeah, okay, you're adding some new element there. And then
it's it's a painful to have to remember all that
you keep your story straight.
Speaker 4 (26:00):
Yeah, yeah, I'm not a good liar.
Speaker 2 (26:02):
I can't.
Speaker 13 (26:03):
I don't do that shows and Julie.
Speaker 2 (26:11):
And waiting. The missing word is schedule dead. Stretch out that.
Speaker 4 (26:17):
That's a good guest, new appointments or activities in there?
Speaker 2 (26:21):
Tak So did nobody get the word today?
Speaker 1 (26:23):
Has of this moment? No, no one got it.
Speaker 4 (26:26):
We have got to do better people, all right, listen up,
here's today's clip.
Speaker 2 (26:30):
Unbleeds.
Speaker 4 (26:32):
Nothing hurts more than stretching out your piercing to fit
something new in there.
Speaker 2 (26:38):
I thought this was a family show. That's gross. Why
is that gross? I recently had to switch out my
nose ring the one I had before.
Speaker 4 (26:45):
It was it was really thin in all the books,
thin and miss and like misshapen because it was so
thin you could easily just like from taking it in
and out you can easily like it wasn't even like
a hoop.
Speaker 2 (27:02):
It was like straight and then like corner and like it.
Speaker 4 (27:04):
Was so I took it out and I had to
just put some other new jewelry in there, like anything
I had, but the new one was.
Speaker 2 (27:09):
A bit like thicker. It hurts so bad. Just squeezed
your nose, yes, Oh my god, it hurts so bad.
I was like crying.
Speaker 10 (27:19):
Oh, oh, you guys what I think somebody did squeeze
in the side.
Speaker 2 (27:25):
After we said it. It was right before, It was
right before.
Speaker 10 (27:28):
It just wasn't It wasn't loading right now, but it's seven.
It just turns seven twenty five, right now, seven twenty three.
So wme in Michelle from Castor Valley Graham, Graham.
Speaker 2 (27:38):
Okay, if it was at seven twenty three, it was a.
Speaker 3 (27:41):
Seventeen, a real photo finished. I feel like we have
to like stop, like the race ends, you know, once
we start.
Speaker 10 (27:45):
Playing Yeah, you hadn't played it yet, you played it
at seven twenty four.
Speaker 3 (27:49):
Well, I'm saying, once we start playing all the guesses,
you know what I mean, that's when you know, all right,
so I'll give her check.
Speaker 2 (27:55):
Yeah, miss, I'm sick of piercings on their minds.
Speaker 4 (28:03):
Michelle, congratulations, Just send her an email. You're getting that
Chuggy Monkey.
Speaker 1 (28:09):
The JV Show on Wild ninety four nine, Jesse.
Speaker 2 (28:12):
You said, we have Laurie on hold. Laurie, hang on
one quick second, going up. Hey guys, yay, I'm so
glad I've won. Totally got in the car late. That's
the only reason why I did a late talkback. I
didn't even know that it was going to be the
last one, but.
Speaker 7 (28:27):
I'm so excited.
Speaker 2 (28:29):
My son wants this chug Mug so bad and he's
going to be so happy when it arrives. Thank you.
I have a great day. Is that our chug Mug winner?
Michelle from Yeah, she won a chug mug this check
your email? All right? So I told Lurie not to
hang up, and the first thing she did was hang up. So, oh,
I think she might be back. Laurie. Are you there?
Speaker 14 (28:49):
Hi? He Hi?
Speaker 2 (28:50):
Oh my god, we lost you there for a sea.
You gave me a heart attack.
Speaker 9 (28:54):
Oh me too.
Speaker 4 (28:56):
Well, We're glad you're back because we're gonna see if
you can win these sold out Teddy Slim tickets.
Speaker 2 (29:02):
Jess, when is the show? I know it's coming up
pretty soon. It's on September five. Oh, that's just a
few weeks out. So Laurie, we're gonna play the JV shows.
Speaker 4 (29:10):
Yep, Nope, game where it's gonna ask you for random
trivia questions.
Speaker 2 (29:13):
Get three correct, and the tickets are yours.
Speaker 4 (29:15):
Okay, awesome, thank you so much.
Speaker 2 (29:17):
All right, let's get to it. Here's question number one.
Speaker 4 (29:21):
What classic board game involves players trying to sink their
opponent's ships by guessing coordinates on a grid?
Speaker 8 (29:30):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (29:33):
Come on, you know this.
Speaker 4 (29:37):
He's gonna say shipwrecked.
Speaker 2 (29:39):
I don't even battleship, battleship you okay, that's okay. Yeah,
it's kind of just a guess and check game. There's
not a lot of skill involved. But it's the only
ship sinking game I know. It's the most iconic for sure.
Speaker 3 (29:57):
All right.
Speaker 2 (29:57):
Question number two. Mount Saint Helen's up to the nineteen eighty.
Speaker 3 (30:01):
It was the deadliest volcano eruption in US history.
Speaker 2 (30:05):
What state is Mount Saint Helens in.
Speaker 6 (30:21):
Lauri?
Speaker 2 (30:21):
You gotta take a guess? Yeah, oh god, oh jeez,
he's a big deal. Just the state with mountains, Washington.
This is what we were looking for. I love the
guess you're like, Colorado has mountains.
Speaker 3 (30:40):
Why did you pick that?
Speaker 4 (30:41):
Hey, I see your way of thinking there, but not
the right answers.
Speaker 2 (30:46):
It's all good.
Speaker 4 (30:47):
Question number three, what iconic rapper was born? Marshall Bruce
Mathers the third.
Speaker 9 (30:54):
Eminem You're on the board.
Speaker 2 (30:57):
You got a point. We're on the board. Let's keep
it rolling here. Question number four.
Speaker 3 (31:01):
Last year's World Series was between the La Dodgers and
the New York Yankees.
Speaker 2 (31:06):
Which team won that World Series?
Speaker 3 (31:12):
I should know this.
Speaker 2 (31:14):
It was less than a year ago. The Yankees. As
much as I you would have liked them to win,
it was the Dodgers. Day harder when you actually call in.
I know that's what everybody says, you get nervous. We
make the harder questions for when you call it. That's true,
(31:36):
we don't we Laurie, Yeah, you did not win the
JV shows you have nope game. We really enjoyed having
you on. But look, don't hang up.
Speaker 4 (31:45):
I'm gonna pick oh, no problem, hang on, don't hang up.
I know we have a lot of shout outs. Let
me play this talk back and then we'll get to
your d M.

You do not want to be a social Titanic, so
make sure you are cool today.
Speaker 2 (33:50):
Another one.

I hope it's not too late.
Speaker 3 (33:52):

Speaker 2 (34:45):

Speaker 1 (34:46):
Yeah, it's a good point. Happy birthday, Buddy, I love you?
Speaker 2 (34:48):
Who gives the part?
Speaker 1 (34:49):
The JV Show on Wild ninety four to nine.
Speaker 13 (34:52):
Good Morning JV Show Aspiring Fairfield, just calling a wish
myne twins Ellie and Bella a happy night birthday for Mom, Dad,
Jordan and Mason love you guys.
Speaker 2 (35:04):
Have your birthday's birthday Twins. That's a great point, honest.
Speaker 12 (35:11):
It's all the stuff you need to know. What's hot
in music, movies, shows and the most talked about stories happening.
Speaker 10 (35:19):
Today and trending is sponsored by the new thought Provoking
exhibition at the Exploratorium Adventures in Ai now through September fourteenth.
Speaker 2 (35:25):
All Right, Swifties, what you've all been waiting for?
Speaker 4 (35:27):
So much to unpack from her appearance on Travis Kelsey's
and New Heights podcast. So you guys know this podcast
broke the internet?
Speaker 2 (35:34):
Right ye?
Speaker 5 (35:34):
Yep?
Speaker 4 (35:35):
Like of course, we were urging you to go listen
to the episode on our iHeartRadio app and you still
can if you missed it, It's still there. But a
lot of fans also tuned into their YouTube for the
live premiere of the video podcast. At one point it
got up to one point three million live viewers.
Speaker 2 (35:51):
Damn all watching at the same time, and then the
whole thing crashed.
Speaker 4 (35:55):
Oh it just went black and the stream suddenly stopped
like it eventually came back of cours. Their channel also
saw a lot of growth because of this tailor episode.
Speaker 2 (36:05):
Do me a favorite Just so you go to the
New Heights YouTube page.
Speaker 4 (36:09):
Before the Taylor Swift episode dropped, they were at two
point eight five million subscribers. When I checked, maybe about
an hour ago, they were at two point nine to
seven million subscribers.
Speaker 2 (36:22):
Has that number gone up at all?
Speaker 10 (36:23):
Just let's see, I'm refreshing, I'm refreshing. It's at two
point ninety seven million subscribers.
Speaker 4 (36:30):
Okay, still at two point ninety seven but still that's
a lot since yesterday.
Speaker 2 (36:34):
Now here's the real question.
Speaker 4 (36:35):
Will this episode be enough to break the YouTube viewership
record for a podcast. The current record is held by
a show in Saudi Arabia. One of the episodes has
one hundred and forty four point nine million views. That's
obviously going to take some time for the views to
like accumulate on the New Heights podcast.
Speaker 2 (36:52):
But if anyone could do it, maybe it's Tailor.
Speaker 4 (36:55):
Right now, though the episode last time I checked only
had nine point four million views.
Speaker 2 (36:59):
Okay, it's at nine point eight nine, but it's that's
less than twenty four hours.
Speaker 1 (37:03):
Yeah, we're not yet, So we're not twenty four hours.
Speaker 4 (37:05):
That's going to take some time, but I mean, who knows.
And I love that Taylor knew that she was coming
into a space that was I think mostly male in
terms of viewers. You know, you think of your regular
New Heights podcast viewer, probably probably male.
Speaker 2 (37:19):
She said this.
Speaker 15 (37:21):
I think we all know that if there's one thing
that male sports fans want to see in their space
isn't on their screens.
Speaker 4 (37:27):
It's more of me because even stuff from the podcast
is being posted to like the NFL accounts.
Speaker 2 (37:32):
I love it. I love that, and I angry. Yeah,
and now she has a sense of humor about it.
Speaker 3 (37:37):
I think she rehearsed that line ahead of time. Don't
you probably like that was a talking point? No, but
still yeah, I mean, I'm glad she said it.
Speaker 2 (37:44):
It's true. Now to the good stuff. Taylor's got a
new album, The Life of a show girl is coming
out is my brand.
Speaker 13 (37:55):
It is called the Life of a Showgirl Love.
Speaker 15 (37:58):
It was something that I was working on while I
was in Europe on the Aras tour on Earth.
Speaker 2 (38:04):
Did she do this on the tour is still blowing
my mind. I do like three shows in a row,
I'd have three days off, I'd fly to.
Speaker 4 (38:10):
Sweet Her work ethic unmatched. How are you doing this
album while you were on a world record breaking tour?
Speaker 16 (38:18):
Well?
Speaker 2 (38:19):
Also, given how like huge her performance was during that tour,
you know what I mean?
Speaker 11 (38:25):
Right? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (38:26):
Super long and super energy draining.
Speaker 3 (38:28):
I think anybody that would perform one of those would
be like, I gotta go on vacation for about two weeks, yeah,
and and then be ready for the next show. You know,
she was doing back to back nights and then still
recording that.
Speaker 2 (38:39):
So here are the album details in case you haven't
heard yet. October third, the album is dropping.
Speaker 4 (38:43):
It's got twelve songs on it, because duh, it is
her twelfth studio album. Obviously, the last song on the
album is the title track. It's called the Life of
a Showgirl and it is featuring Sabrina Carpenter. You know,
fans have been begging for a collab, and we are
finally getting one. I saw that Cardi B was so
relieved that she's dropped, because you know, cardi'sdropping her album
(39:04):
on September nineteenth and did not want Taylor.
Speaker 2 (39:07):
Dropping on that same day. Can you imagine?
Speaker 10 (39:09):
Yeah, but we need Taylor drop on a day that
would make sense for her. And October there does make
sense because October ten, right, ten is the number for October.
Speaker 2 (39:18):
And then three thirteen. Oh that we should have known.
Speaker 3 (39:22):
No, did I not put two and two together the
one point three million people that were streaming in at
one time?
Speaker 2 (39:28):
Oh my god?
Speaker 3 (39:29):
Thirteen that you didn't know that obviously the Taylor effect.
I heard her say in this podcast episode that the
twelve tracks on this album are all like, as they said, bangers.
I don't know if we're still using that, but they
said they're all bangers, every single one. And she said
her previous album, the Tortured Posts Department or whatever, she said,
(39:50):
there's like because that was a double album with thirty
something songs on it. She's like, that was just every
song that I just threw a bunch of stuff. But
she said this one is like highly curated. These are
all banger.
Speaker 2 (40:00):
I'm excited that, to me.
Speaker 3 (40:01):
Sets the expectation bar for every song on this record
to be really good because that's what she's saying. She's
saying these it's very intentional that these twelve tracks, there's
no more there's no secret out secret cuts that are
are going to get at. It's just these twelve So
it's like she's really claiming, she's calling her shot here
that this is like an incredible record.
Speaker 4 (40:21):
All right, I'm sorry for the Taylor takeover, but we're
gonna have to talk more about her. It's gonna spill
into the next break just because there's so much we
got to unpack from the podcast, you know her. I
want to talk more about the way she interacts with
Travis Kelsey. She got into, you know, their relationship a
little bit. Plus there's more engagement rumors. So we're gonna
do all of that next.
Speaker 1 (40:39):
The JV Show on Wild ninety four nine.
Speaker 2 (40:42):
Good Morning JV Show.
Speaker 17 (40:44):
I just want to wish me my other mom friend
a happy Let's kit mimosas after we drop off the
kids this morning in our neighborhood and you do an
annual kit mimosas after the first day of school. So
we are all super excited and we were all about
to get super.
Speaker 8 (41:03):
Buzz at nine in the morning.
Speaker 2 (41:06):
Have a good day, guys. Fun. I know a lot
of moms that do that. I forgot about that.
Speaker 3 (41:12):
Yeah, it's like a it's a thing that first day
of school drop off and then all the ladies hit
a mimosa brunch or whatever that sounds way.
Speaker 2 (41:20):
That's hilarious.
Speaker 4 (41:22):
Well, have fun, all right, and everyone else, welcome back.
If today is your first day, hope you have a
great day. We're talking about Taylor Swift. She was on
the New Heights podcast yesterday That is Travis Kelce and
Jason Kelce's podcast. We talked about a break in the internet.
She gave all her album details. One thing, one more
thing on the album just really quick. You can finally
go to her website and like pre order everything. The
(41:45):
vinyls people noticed, you know the you know how the
theme is like orange and green. The vinyls are orange,
and it's not just any orange, it's Porto Fino orange.
And how do we know that Because it says that
on the website you can pre order a Portafino orange
glitter vinyl now or whatever. And people think that is
a reference to last year when Taylor and Travis went
(42:09):
to Italy and they visited Portino there. They think they
secretly got engaged there and it's like such an important
place and that's why she's using that color for the album.
Speaker 3 (42:19):
What Yeah, I mean, I don't know where we landed
in the prediction journal for that, but I would not
be surprised, not at all all.
Speaker 4 (42:32):
Right, So I do want to talk more about the
way Taylor and Travis interacted on the podcast. This is
like the first time you've actually kind of like seen
them a little more, you know, laid back.
Speaker 2 (42:43):
It wasn't like at some event. Yeah, are you being
sarcastic about unscripted part a little bit? You still feel
like this persona, it's the most unscripted we've seen them.
Speaker 3 (42:55):
But do I think that everything that went into this
podcast is very careful, carefully cure and editing and and edited.
Speaker 2 (43:03):
This was not it wasn't aired live yesterday, right.
Speaker 10 (43:06):
Do you feel like a lot of people in Taylor's
lives they feel like they have to walk on eggshells.
Speaker 2 (43:10):
I just feel like everybody only says positive things to her.
Speaker 3 (43:13):
I think when whenever you get to any level, any
super level of stardom or wealth or whatever. It is,
the way that people interact with you inevitably changes. It's unavoidable.
They treat you differently, and you know that there are
a lot of people in her life. Even if they
think they're like I could say no to her, they.
Speaker 4 (43:32):
I mean, you can't, and you can't say anything not nice.
I mean even online because everybody will come for you.
Because who doesn't love Taylor Swift. So it's just you know,
she's like America's you know, sweetheart. Anyways, so they're on
the podcast and they obviously got into you know, when
they first started dating, even before then.
Speaker 15 (43:49):
Really, this podcast has done a lot for me. I
owe a lot of this podcast. This podcast got me
a boyfriend.
Speaker 2 (43:56):
Now, remember thanks to this podcast.
Speaker 4 (43:58):
Like this is where Travis Kelsey came on and was like, hey,
I wanted to give her a friendship bracelet and give
her my phone number.
Speaker 2 (44:02):
It didn't happen. He said that on this podcast. So
it is kind of a full circle moment.
Speaker 15 (44:10):
It was such a wild romantic gesture to just be
like I don't want to date you, like on I
don't know it was at first when I looked at it.
Speaker 6 (44:19):
I was like, dude, is that's what it does when
you're on the stage and you perform an Arrowhead's this dude.
Speaker 2 (44:25):
Didn't get a meet and greet.
Speaker 15 (44:25):
He's making it everyone's problem.
Speaker 2 (44:27):
I'm gonna pause right there.
Speaker 8 (44:29):
I can.
Speaker 2 (44:30):
I like, oh my god, I cringe anytime he calls
her a sweetie to you. Yes, am I the only one?
Speaker 1 (44:38):
Yeah, it got me a little oh my.
Speaker 2 (44:40):
God, thank you, Like, don't do that.
Speaker 9 (44:42):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (44:43):
I just feel like it's so like elderly. Oh I
can see that. I can see you know.
Speaker 3 (44:47):
He drops that multiple ones we heard. Is like when
she was breaking out the album and it was green, he.
Speaker 2 (44:54):
Called her sleety color of your eyes? Yeah, And I'm like, oh,
I don't want to throw up. Don't do that, all right.
Speaker 4 (45:02):
So she talks about Travis Kelcey, you know, wanting to
meet her at the show. Apparently he did, like no
logistical planning for this.
Speaker 2 (45:08):
You realize he didn't even reach out to our management.
Speaker 15 (45:11):
I was like, when this podcast came out, I was like,
did he ever reach out to be like in the
tents or did we know he was in the building.
He came with Pat and he thought that because he
knows the elevator lady that he could talk to her
about just getting down.
Speaker 2 (45:28):
And he got denied. That's why he wasn't able to meet.
Speaker 3 (45:31):
If I was Travis Kelcey, I would assume the same
thing if I was Patrick Mahomes whatever in those star players,
Like this is our stadium, this is our house.
Speaker 2 (45:39):
Where I want on her era's tour.
Speaker 3 (45:42):
I don't know, You're like on my home turf at
that point, Like, I don't know, I wouldn't be like,
excuse me, management team for Taylor, And there a chance
that I could come back to our too, perhaps meet
her because I'm person for her and please.
Speaker 2 (45:53):
I don't know. That's just like.
Speaker 3 (45:55):
You're talking about you're talking about Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.
Speaker 2 (45:59):
Yeah, name you know that James Running. I know the
other draw in Kansas City. It's them. Uh there's a
they got that good restaurant on downtown.
Speaker 1 (46:09):
During the pande.
Speaker 4 (46:10):
Well, Taylor did have really nice things to say about
Travis Kelsey. This is a video off of a TikTok
that just sent me. So there's like some weird music
behind it.
Speaker 15 (46:17):
Don't mind that the way that he could make me
laugh so immediately about normal things. Like Travis is like
he's just a vibe booster in everyone's life that he's in.
He's like a human exclamation point. Like you know, he's
like when you take a picture on your phone and
you put the like you push the enhanced color button.
Speaker 4 (46:37):
That's like, what, okay, Look, they're so cute together. You know,
they're both like the perfect amount of corniness for each other.
And we've been there and that's great. Part of me
just feels like Taylor's holding back, not not in her relationship,
just like on the podcast in general.
Speaker 2 (46:53):
Like I think she's been famous for so long.
Speaker 4 (46:55):
That she's been so accustomed to having to speak a
certain way, act a certain way, carry herself as certain
way that we don't even know like the real her,
if that makes sense.
Speaker 2 (47:03):
And I'm not throwing shade at all, Like.
Speaker 3 (47:06):
You thought she was gonna pop on there and she
was gonna be like spitting chewing tobaccom and like so
if that was the talk about some football, Yeah, Travis
Kelsey can show on time.
Speaker 4 (47:16):
I don't know the way she's like or maybe it
really is how she is just being overly positive, Like
she even talked about you know, Happy Gilmore and Bad
Bunny's performance, and he was exquisite and delightful, Like who
uses those words light me, yes, delighted, you.
Speaker 2 (47:32):
Know what I mean? Yeah, I just I mean, I
think there's an element.
Speaker 4 (47:34):
Of that, But I still think I'm not throwing shade
at all. I hope you guys realize the swifties that's
at not.
Speaker 3 (47:41):
I just feel like like this the last segment was
like this thing broke all the records, Oh my god,
and we're throwing all the flowers at the and.
Speaker 2 (47:47):
Then the next one it's like she's she's showing fake
What the hell. I just feel like she's very careful.
Speaker 4 (47:53):
It's like and she has curated, curated everything that comes
at her mouth, out of her mouth, I think is
very curated.
Speaker 3 (47:59):
But that's it's just because her entire career has been
that way, and when you are that level of famous,
like you said, that's just the way that it is.
Speaker 1 (48:05):
And she's always been like that.
Speaker 3 (48:07):
And so like what we got in this podcast in
the way that they interacted with each other not surprising
in the slightest to me. I felt like in times
they were laying on a little thick But you know what,
I mean right, that's just you know, and everyone's.
Speaker 2 (48:20):
Like no, but they're super in love, like yep, they've
been dating for almost three years. Like I don't know.
Speaker 1 (48:25):
I think a lot of that was to drum it
up for the audience a little bit.
Speaker 2 (48:30):
All right, I think we're gonna get see some hate, Yes, Jess.
Can we talk about her pictures? Oh my god?
Speaker 11 (48:37):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (48:38):
Are these on Jamie Morti?
Speaker 8 (48:39):
So they are?
Speaker 2 (48:39):
Everyone check them out because she looks so good, like
I have never seen her. They're risk like this, Yeah, Taylor,
she's she's in a different era she is. Have you
seen these? Grammy? Look now I have. I'm going to
thoughts the very life of a showgirl? I mean they
match the.
Speaker 4 (48:58):
Title's can sex say?
Speaker 2 (49:01):
It was like a whole different tailor slips. So if
you want to check that out.
Speaker 4 (49:04):
JV Morning Show, follow our Instagram and then that is
right there on our Instagram.
Speaker 1 (49:08):
Story The JV Show on Wild ninety four nine.
Speaker 2 (49:11):
Happy Thursday, The JV Show. I'm Selena, I'm Graham, and
I'm just And how do we have on the phone?
Speaker 9 (49:18):
This is Nancy and Kevin.
Speaker 2 (49:20):
Nancy Kevin college money.
Speaker 4 (49:25):
Yes, you just got a chromebook Courtesy of RCA Records.
Speaker 2 (49:28):
Congrats, thank you, you are very welcome. Nancy and Kevin,
hang on there, Oh, we are doing doing it again.
Let me just stop. The music? Is everyone that, Yeah,
we're doing it again tomorrow. We're building the excitement. People
were feeling it. They were hyped up.
Speaker 3 (49:44):
And Nancy and Kevin just got a brand new Chromebook
for back to school. We're doing Look, we're doing this
every single morning all month long because everybody.
Speaker 2 (49:51):
We want to give it away as many Chromebooks as
we can. And we went to the boss.
Speaker 3 (49:55):
I'm like, we're not giving away chromebook every day this month.
We quit, but we're out of He's like, good because
you're fired, and they were like, no, can we have.
Speaker 2 (50:00):
A job back? Just kidding.
Speaker 3 (50:02):
Also, the Chromebooks would be cool every morning, and then
totally botched the announcement.
Speaker 2 (50:07):
I guess yeah, all right, guys, I get it.
Speaker 9 (50:10):
Hi, Graham, I'm so sorry. I wanted to say thank
you for always giving out the shout outs to my kids.
They are absolutely so excited to hear it on the podcast,
and I just wanted to say thank you from me
and Noel and Ariel and we love you guys. Jess
Selena and Graham and Graham, you're the best who.
Speaker 2 (50:32):
Gives a fart? That's a good part given.
Speaker 1 (50:37):
I feel back I gave, I gave her a hard time.
Speaker 3 (50:40):
She's slid into my DMS earlier to get her kids
a shout out, and I just happened to like scroll back, like, look,
some other shout outs have been had no acknowledgment it
ever been given. And I was like, I'll give you
guys this shout out this morning, but like, how about
some acknowledgement for all the past shoutouts.
Speaker 2 (50:53):
I was totally joking. I was just joking.
Speaker 1 (50:59):
I put after it, but like, you don't know if
I'm like or.
Speaker 2 (51:04):
Like, you don't know when that is then you don't
use emojis and that just sounds rude. Yeah, but what
if I use the crying laughing face right there?
Speaker 3 (51:12):
That can still be in a mocking way, like like, hey,
thanks for acknowledging all the previous shout outs I've given
your kids and a crying laughing face, how would you
interpret that?
Speaker 16 (51:22):
Like?
Speaker 1 (51:23):
I actually thought it was funny.
Speaker 2 (51:25):
Off a little angry. Emojis can be ambiguous, I guess, so, Yeah,
but I was totally just shaking we got to get
to ladies room. Sure, where's my jewelry? Can we talk?
So you guys know.
Speaker 10 (51:43):
Earlier this week, Selena, you told us about how women
love when men have one specific hobby, and I was reading.
Speaker 4 (51:50):
Reading is the most attractive hobby a man can have,
according to a new survey.
Speaker 2 (51:53):
So we were really surprised by that.
Speaker 10 (51:56):
But apparently another study is showing that it actually you
might boost your success if you're on dating.
Speaker 2 (52:01):
Apps as well.
Speaker 16 (52:03):
So what reading?
Speaker 2 (52:04):
Yes, if you are on dating apps, you might want.
Speaker 10 (52:07):
To throw in a picture or two of what you're
currently reading, because that is found attractive.
Speaker 3 (52:14):
The book in your armchair with the book open and
like your glasses on reading your book.
Speaker 2 (52:20):
Like that should be your profile picture holding a book.
Speaker 10 (52:22):
Maybe not make it your profile picture, but include it
in there in your pictures so that when they swipe,
they're like, oh, what are his hobbies?
Speaker 16 (52:29):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (52:29):
Reading? I'm gonna be honest if I'm uh and I
was on Tinder at one point.
Speaker 4 (52:33):
If I come across a person who you know he's
reading and his reading nook at home and he snuggled
up in a what are those blankets with sleeves, a
snuggy what'd.
Speaker 2 (52:46):
You call it a slanket sleeve blanket slanket. It's a snuggy.
Speaker 4 (52:51):
Anyways, I'm going to think boring and I'm swiping, uh
left left, two shots fired at all the readers that
you just I can hear them turn their radio is
off right now, Like, oh, she doesn't like reading.
Speaker 2 (53:01):
She thinks we're nerds, and I am a reader, but
I don't want to be with a reader. Make that
makes sense?
Speaker 6 (53:07):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (53:07):
That wouldn't you want somebody that has shared interests you?
Speaker 3 (53:10):
Or is that too quiet for you? They're over and
they're reading nook. Yeah, I feel like weanket and you're
over in your reading. If you're snuggy, I like to
be in my in my reading book.
Speaker 2 (53:19):
I don't have one. It's just like my bed.
Speaker 4 (53:21):
Like when I'm doing that, I don't and then I'm
like shutting the world out. But I don't want to
be shut out of somebody else's world.
Speaker 2 (53:27):
I guess that sort of.
Speaker 10 (53:29):
Makes sense, right, I mean, would you be offended if
a guy was like found out you were a reader
and was like, well, I don't want to be shut
out of your world, so sorry bye?
Speaker 1 (53:40):
Yeah, and you're over the reading.
Speaker 2 (53:41):
But I would never put that on my dating profile,
that I'm reading books.
Speaker 3 (53:45):
Well, maybe people also want to know that somebody is
intellectual and well read. I would appreciate that the day
I would like that in a dating profile worldly knowledge.
Speaker 1 (53:53):
I mean, I don't need it front and centered.
Speaker 3 (53:55):
But if it's one of the pictures in your little
carousel there and it's you reading, I'm not I'm not
mad at that.
Speaker 2 (54:00):
I appreciate people that study.
Speaker 3 (54:01):
But if you go to the slanket dot com, you
can buy the original blanket with sleeves.
Speaker 2 (54:06):
That's an actual thing. Yes, I thought you were making
it up Snuggies. I was part way joking, but it's
also a real thing.
Speaker 3 (54:12):
It's also available on Amazon, the Ultimate Slanket, if you'd
like to buy it there.
Speaker 4 (54:17):
The other ones are called Snuggies, right, yeah, okay, so
they just ripped off their original slanket.
Speaker 2 (54:22):
This has Yeah, maybe maybe the Snuggie was the original one.
Speaker 3 (54:25):
No, this is the original blanket with sleeves. Yeah, slanket
the slanket dot Com if you'd like to get one.
Also available at your other favorite retailers like Walmart.
Speaker 2 (54:33):
But the name Snuggie just sounds better.
Speaker 1 (54:35):
I know, I like slanket it's funnier.
Speaker 2 (54:37):
No, but Graham, to the point.
Speaker 10 (54:39):
That you were making a little while ago, seventy five
percent actually agree with you. Seventy five percent of people
say they rather date someone who is well read, and
they prefer that over someone physically attractive.
Speaker 7 (54:50):
Wow, over someone who Yeah, yeah, you're crazy, which is
crazy to get crazy, but if you're too.
Speaker 3 (54:57):
Look if your two hobbies and I had to choose
on a dating prof and one was like, I like
to read every day for an hour or I like
to scroll TikTok mindlessly every day for an hour, I'm
thinking the one that's reading because they're actually growing the
brain as opposed to shrinking it.
Speaker 1 (55:11):
Shots fired the TikTok community.
Speaker 2 (55:13):
But it's true sense. But you know, you know another thing.
It matters what kind of book it is.
Speaker 10 (55:20):
Oh, so you are posting a picture of you holding
a book on your profile, just make sure it's one
not Lord of the Rings.
Speaker 2 (55:26):
The very smut? Is that what it's called? Romanticyalm comminition?
You fairy smut.
Speaker 3 (55:34):
I'll see if that's the thing. Jeff faeriesmut dot com
wait dot enough, I could.
Speaker 2 (55:38):
Do that on a work computer computer. Gram hold on
hold on.
Speaker 1 (55:41):
The JV show on Wild ninety four, nine.
Speaker 2 (55:44):
Thurs Days, we do our meeting in the ladies room. Graham, Well,
welcome in here. You can come in just this one time.
I can't. Thanks for having me.
Speaker 4 (55:52):
What is this?
Speaker 2 (55:52):
Three hours smells weird newsnight not me, it's just no
all right.
Speaker 3 (55:56):
Listen up, Mary, listen up Married couples, because this woman
says she has the nighttime formula to a happier marriage.
Speaker 2 (56:05):
It's called the three hour night. I could never last
that long. But it's not that.
Speaker 3 (56:13):
She says she has the formula for how to just
make your relationship more fulfilling, more productive, and have a
better romantic connection.
Speaker 1 (56:26):
Here's how the three hour night works.
Speaker 3 (56:28):
Because she says what her and her husband were normally doing,
which was like the scramble to get their daughter to bed,
and then after that they'd just be scrolling their phones
and then just go to sleep. And that's I think
a lot of our nighttime routines after you get the
kids to bed. But she says, here's what they do
the second they get their daughter to bed. That's when
the three hour night begins.
Speaker 2 (56:48):
The stay up that late.
Speaker 7 (56:49):
Well, see, we have different schedules we'll get to that.
Because it doesn't work for us, explain for everyone else.
Speaker 3 (56:54):
Mine would be the three minute night. What you could
do now, Yeah, I mean I get my kids to
bed and then I go to bed immediately. But for you,
normal couples have normal hours, all right. The first hour
is the productive hour. They do chores together that they
couldn't accomplish throughout the day, laundry, cleaning up the kitchen, whatever,
(57:14):
but both people working together to do something productive for
the household.
Speaker 2 (57:18):
That's our one.
Speaker 3 (57:19):
The second hour, you're dedicating that one to your marriage,
she says, phones away, no phones, You're dedicated to each other.
Speaker 1 (57:27):
It could be taking a shower together.
Speaker 3 (57:29):
But it could be playing a game together, it could
be whatever, something for the two of you. That's our
number two. Then our number three you fall asleep, just kidding,
our number three. That is a time to yourself hour.
You can do whatever you want in that final hour
without judgment. Whatever that last hour is, whatever you want
(57:51):
to do for that last hour. It could be just
about you, doesn't need to involve them. Whatever, that's your time.
The three hour night rule. Ladies, give me your thoughts.
Speaker 4 (58:02):
I if, like you said, Graham, if we had a
normal schedule where we could stay up longer than right
after we put the kids to bed, because that's our bedtime.
Speaker 2 (58:10):
I I like this, would I be able to make
just like one minor tweak?
Speaker 1 (58:15):
Sure?
Speaker 2 (58:16):
Know what you're going to say?
Speaker 4 (58:17):
What like, well, just maybe like instead of meantime, what
if I just want like two hours of us time.
Speaker 2 (58:24):
I was gonna say, switch the order and have me time,
but end it with the couple's time.
Speaker 4 (58:33):
That way, before you got to have you time and
then start cleaning, you want to get the cleaning and
the chores out of the way.
Speaker 10 (58:38):
But that why so you have you get the cleaning
and chores out of the way.
Speaker 1 (58:43):
Then I go play video games for an hour and
then it's like up.
Speaker 2 (58:46):
Oh, I like for us, then it's us time to
end the night. Yeah. That way, when you go to sleep,
you went to sleep on us time and not right
and that's right after you get done doing you know what?
Yeah right, I just I think you're I think you're
on something there.
Speaker 3 (59:01):
This woman wants to make sure that you know that
like this doesn't need to be an every night thing
for a lot of couples. Maybe it's just once a week.
She says they try. Their goal is three to four
nights a week. They follow this three hour night, but like,
you know, life is busy. We know it's not gonna
work every night, but this could be something that you
try for one night a week just to get started
and see how it works. I think Jess has the
(59:23):
order correct, but I think there is something I don't
really need the hour for, like the meantime, because like.
Speaker 1 (59:29):
You're just gonna scroll your phone, right, That's why I
don't need that.
Speaker 4 (59:31):
So that's right, It's why would rather take that hour
and like have it be us time so it forces
my man off his phone and then we just get
to spend extra time together.
Speaker 3 (59:38):
So I think it should be called the two hours.
I think it should be just the two hour night,
one hour productive. I like that, get some stuff done
and do it together. You get twice as much stuff
done when most people are working, you know, hand in
hand on this, and then just have the last hour
be the you guys, do something, You watch a show
whatever it is, just to you, and then you go
to beck it.
Speaker 2 (59:55):
People are saying this is like saving their relationship.
Speaker 1 (59:57):
She says, this is fantastic, So she like, there.
Speaker 2 (01:00:00):
You go people.
Speaker 10 (01:00:01):
So if you sorry, last question, if you did with
the schedule you have now, what time would you have
to start it with the time the bedtime that you
have for thirty, she would.
Speaker 2 (01:00:12):
Be called a three hour after be called a three
hour afternoon. My kids went to bed at six, that'd.
Speaker 3 (01:00:17):
Be perfect, Yeah, that would really open things up. But
instead they go to bed at eight thirty and I
go to bed at eight thirty two. I have some
brush and floss.
Speaker 4 (01:00:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:00:26):
Oh, of course. Hottest Day.
Speaker 12 (01:00:30):
It's all the stuff you need to know what's hot
in music, movies, shows, and the most talked about stories
happening today in the Bay.
Speaker 2 (01:00:39):
Did you guys see the trailer for Kanye's new documentary? No,
but I heard about it.
Speaker 4 (01:00:43):
He put out this trailer yesterday. No one even knew
he was working on things, at least I did it.
The documentary is called In Whose Name? It's gonna premiere
in theaters Friday, September nineteenth.
Speaker 2 (01:00:56):
But here is some of the trailer.
Speaker 1 (01:01:01):
I'm off my.
Speaker 2 (01:01:02):
Maedge for five months down. Your personality's not like this.
Speaker 4 (01:01:06):
That's Kim K by the way, when they're still married.
She's crying to him, like your personality, you're not like.
Speaker 2 (01:01:11):
This two years ago.
Speaker 1 (01:01:12):
It's a calling by the universe.
Speaker 3 (01:01:14):
Never kill me.
Speaker 2 (01:01:15):
I'm gonna wake up one day and have nothing. We
could talk about that later, but it ain't no.
Speaker 7 (01:01:19):
But the way he snaps at her, God, I cann't
imagine being married.
Speaker 2 (01:01:23):
Can you imagine having to deal with with him? And
he and at least we have our answer.
Speaker 4 (01:01:28):
He's not on his med so as he's saying, which
we already knew because of his behavior and things he's
he's saying, I'd rather be.
Speaker 1 (01:01:36):
Dead than did deal meandication. Either they destroy me or
I destroy it. People dream they're killing all outside of
the box.
Speaker 2 (01:01:48):
The best thing about being an artist in bipolar anything
you do and say it's an art piece in whose name?
In theaters? Friday, September nineteen. What do I think for this? Also,
of course see would drop it the same day Taylor
gives her announce Do you think that was on purpose? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:02:04):
It's Kanye, Yeah, especially with all the talk that announcement first, Yeah,
you guys are probably right, especially with all the talk
that her album is, you know, to get revenge on
Kanye because of the title.
Speaker 2 (01:02:16):
You'll go back in podcast yesterday show if you want
details on that. This is very worrisome. Yeah, to me
what he means it explains a lot. But I mean,
I don't know. I just feel like, like, does it
give him a pass to say the things that he's saying. No,
does not. He's refusing to take his meds, which I mean,
(01:02:37):
I think we already knew. I don't know, but it's concerning.
But I can't like to to articulate why. Yeah, I
think because.
Speaker 10 (01:02:43):
It's like, at this point, shouldn't somebody else have stepped in?
Speaker 2 (01:02:47):
If he can't force him to take his medication, you know,
if he doesn't want to, he doesn't have to.
Speaker 3 (01:02:51):
I think at this point we should stop putting a
microphone to it, you know what I mean, we should
stop paying. If you're a theater, be like, no, I'm
not going to put your movie in here or whatever.
I'm sure this is not some massive nationwide release.
Speaker 2 (01:03:02):
Probably relief.
Speaker 3 (01:03:03):
Yeah, but like you don't have to take it, right,
We don't have to watch his rantings and stuff like that.
You just don't like, I'm done with that, dude, I know. No,
I think everybody is just I don't think everybody is.
I think that's the problem. Yeah, I think we need
to be collectively just the awful, hateful stuff he.
Speaker 1 (01:03:22):
Says with it.
Speaker 4 (01:03:23):
His easy site came back live this week too, so
he's just back at it like like nothing ever happened,
Like all the things he.
Speaker 2 (01:03:29):
Said, he's acting like it just never happened. Grandma, what
do you have?
Speaker 6 (01:03:34):
All right?
Speaker 3 (01:03:34):
So, yesterday we talked about how five chickens and one
baby turkey we're stolen in a pair of incidents from
this past Sunday at Emma Prush Farm Park. Again, that's
a little farm in San Jose that caters to kids
and field trips and stuff like that so they can
interact and learn about animals. Surveillance video captured a man
stuffing a turkey little turkey joke thera so a little
(01:03:55):
baby turkey under his jacket and then walking off. And
then that night five chickens went missing and another one
unfortunately died in their enclosure, and person seen stealing them.
We don't know if it's the same suspect. I wouldn't
be surprised if it was. Well, here's your update. Two
of the chickens have been returned. A woman in the
San Jose area posted to next door this week, Hello,
(01:04:15):
two chickens have appeared in my backyard. I don't have
a clue where they came from. If anyone in the
area has lost chickens, please contact me immediately. And a
lot of people saw that post, and a lot of
people that were familiar with the chickens going missing recognize
the chickens from being from that park. And these chickens
have been found and safely returned as of yesterday.
Speaker 2 (01:04:36):
They knew that. The people even knew that the two chickens.
They knew their names.
Speaker 3 (01:04:40):
They saw a picture and like that's listened to their names.
That one of them is named Queen and the other
one is named Mariah Carey. Queen Queen and Mariah Carey
have been returned. We don't know the whereabouts of the
three other chickens as well as a baby turkey, but
let's all hope and pray that they get safely returned
as well. But rip to the one chicken and that didn't. Yeah,
(01:05:01):
hopefully these other ones can get returned. Yea Queen and
Mariah carry.
Speaker 2 (01:05:05):
I feel like laughing at bos.
Speaker 3 (01:05:06):
It's safe at this time. Now, I want to know
what all the other one's name is. I know the
JV show on Wild ninety four nine.
Speaker 4 (01:05:13):
We were just talking about Kanye West putting out a
trailer yesterday for a new documentary that nobody knew that
he was even working.
Speaker 8 (01:05:21):
On Good Morning Guys.
Speaker 11 (01:05:24):
I just want to make it very clear that there's
millions of people who have bipolar disorder or other forms
of mental health disorders, psychosis, what have you, and they
do not turn into full blown Nazis. So no, it's
not an excuse. It's an explanation. It's not an excuse.
I'm done with that guy too.
Speaker 2 (01:05:44):
I'm with you, Graham, and we all should be Yep,
we all should do this point.
Speaker 4 (01:05:48):
I mean, I think what I was trying to was
what I was trying to ask it was because he
is not he's he's refusing to take the mets. Yeah,
there was millions other people suffering various mental health things,
but I mean they are on you know, various medications
and stuff, and I think in Kanye's case, he's refusing
to do it because he feels like it inhibits his
(01:06:08):
creativity as an artist.
Speaker 3 (01:06:10):
Right.
Speaker 4 (01:06:10):
You know, that's clearly the main takeaway that I got
from the documentary is that you know his mind when
it's off the meds.
Speaker 2 (01:06:15):
He's able to create art. Everything he does is art
we don't like, doesn't part of you believe?
Speaker 3 (01:06:20):
And maybe this is a naive take, but like that
he deep down this is somehow inherently what he does.
Speaker 2 (01:06:26):
Think maybe it's just like letting it out like this
is like the truth serum, like they say when you're drunk,
like that's the true you, which I don't believe because
drunk me is way different than real me. Have you
ever seen like the pull party coming up? That is
not me that.
Speaker 14 (01:06:42):
I know?
Speaker 2 (01:06:43):
Give her a couple margeritas, yeah to me again.
Speaker 16 (01:06:46):
Of course, Hanguy West is acting like nothing ever happened.
Did you not hear in his upcoming movie. It's the
great thing about being bipolar is that you can stay
and do anything and people are just going to think
it's I mean, you think Michelangelo or.
Speaker 4 (01:07:06):
I don't even think that. Everybody else thinks it's our you.
He thinks what he's doing is are like, no, you're just.
Speaker 2 (01:07:13):
Being a jerk. And he thinks what he's doing is genius.
Speaker 1 (01:07:15):
Is everything's genius, it's genius. This is sometimes it's just
the ramblings of some incoherent mess right.
Speaker 4 (01:07:23):
But with that being said, are you a little curious
to watch it? Look, I'm not rushing to the theater,
but are you a little curious? It's streaming at home,
it's free. Would you would you watch?
Speaker 1 (01:07:32):
I'll watch the highlights on social media. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:07:35):
I'm not going to sit down and get That's the thing.
I don't want to. I don't want to give any
more audience to do what I've done. I think we
all need to. Don't you going to move on? But
I am a little curious to see, like how the
mind of someone who has bipolar disorder but it is
off the meds? Like how like what is the thought
process there?
Speaker 3 (01:07:53):
But if it was an actual documentary, are we getting
a fair look at what it is? It's point and
put it by him, so you're gonna get a one
sided take here. And that's Yeah, his takeaway or what
he wants your takeaway to be, is that.
Speaker 1 (01:08:06):
The butt that he is this genius.
Speaker 2 (01:08:08):
Another thing that's also kind of drawing me in is
that he's showing snippets of you know, what Kim had
to deal with that I'm interested in seeing. Yeah, but
I'm not going to go to the movie theater and
pay money for it. Again, I'm not rushing to the theater,
but streaming at home. I think I think I would
watch for that reason. We'll strike that from the podcast.
So did I really say that?
Speaker 16 (01:08:24):
No?
Speaker 2 (01:08:24):
Not really. You know, no she didn't think. No, it's
it's in the podcast.
Speaker 1 (01:08:28):
The JV Show on Wild ninety four to nine.
