Speaker 1 (00:01):
When you need to know, she's got you. It's three
Things with tiff On. Hi, good morning. We're just before
seven o'clock. A reminder if this is the first day
and a new routine for you, Good morning. At seven
oh five we go commercial free. Let's start off with
Joe Burrow on the Bengals with the first preseason game,
first own preseason game on Saturday. Here he is. Yeah,
(00:21):
it was nice to get back out there, to be
out there with the guys. Nice to get his first
couple reps in a game that didn't doesn't really count
towards our record, so there's still some more to do,
but it's nice to be back out there. Yeah, he
fell seventeen to fourteen. But according to those that watched
Joe Burrow like that, they said he looked good, right,
they said they he looked good, came in, did a
(00:41):
couple snaps, scored, and then walked right out the game
dropped the mic essentially said all right, cool, you guys
got it from here. Our next preseason game is away
against the Bears on Saturday at one o'clock. Second, in
three things you need to know this morning, let's do
an overall Olympics wrap up. The big entertaining piece over
the weekend was break that happened Friday into Saturday. There
(01:02):
isn't a time that I haven't opened up the internet
in the last two days, three days and seeing the
Australian woman trying her best to break dance. You know what,
she was trying her best. Men's basketball team took the
win in a thrilling like just Saturday afternoon, right before
the Bengals went on. They took the win. There was
a little close at times, looked good to me though.
(01:23):
Women's basketball came from a tighter finish as well. They
got their like tenth consecutive gold medal. Now what's the
actual facts on it. I'm just kind of rambling at
this point. They have sixty one consecutive games. Yeah, eight
straight Olympic gold medals on that one. What else was
really big over the weekend for the Olympics Outside of that,
(01:44):
Women's volleyball took silver and women's soccer how could I
forget that win against Brazil whoo and the United States
It's gonna claim gold. So cool. Last thing I want
to say about the Olympics before we move into closing
ceremony is the thing on Jordan Chiles. So if you're like,
(02:06):
how can they take away someone else's medal and give
it to some to give it to someone else? Right, Well,
Jordan Chiles had scored you know whatever points system and
put her in fifth. Her coach said, hey, you know,
because her technique and difficulty was higher, we were going
to challenge this. The people the score and the judges
they're like, you know what, you're right. They bumped her
up a little bit. That gave her the bronze medal. Well,
(02:28):
fast forward a little while later, the Olympic committee said,
wait a minute, you only have exactly sixty seconds to
rebuttal whatever it is that the judges say, And you
guys went to us sixty four seconds later, so they said,
that's you know, that's against the rules. So because of
that four seconds they were able to strip her of
the bronze. So I know that that's super popular right now.
(02:50):
I just want to make sure you had the insight
on that. And then finally, in three things you need
to Know this morning, Casey Musgraves and Sabrina Carpenter took
the stage over the weekend. Here's a clip of them singing,
these boots are made for walking. Please do say for walking.
And that's just what they'll do. One of these daysies,
we'll talk walk away there it is. That was a
(03:13):
festival in San Francisco. That is three things you need
to know for the twelfth of August. The best way
