Speaker 1 (00:01):
Because you're waking up with fifth in the morning time
kiss one, Hi, good morning. I woke up this morning.
I'm gonna share a little bit more on this around
like six thirty five ish. But I'm having a hard
time figuring out the days of the week. It feels
like I had to say, and you already know it's
a struggle for me if you've heard the show before.

(00:22):
But it is the Thursday. It is the Thursday, and
the big news of the United States, like our side
of it, you know, the East Coast ish is the
hurricane that's coming to Florida. My mom lives in Florida,
and so I'm gonna I've been trying to text her

(00:44):
to be like, hey, is everything good. She lives in Tampa.
Hasn't responded once. Why does it feel like we always
have to take care of our parents? You know, I
feel like I'm the parent these days. We'll say more
on that for the show later on. How are you
doing well? I hope everything's good on your front. A reminder,
today is your second to the last day to win

(01:06):
tickets to the Ohio Renaissance Festival, which I've started to
see billboards up. I've heard people you know go and
spend the weekends there because I think it's only open
on weekends in the fall. So if you're like, ooh,
I've been dying to go, I have four tickets for
you at eight thirty. Best way to keep listenings on
iHeartRadio when you search kiss one oh seven one good morning.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
When you need to know she's got you, it's three.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
Things with tip on kiss. All evacuation restriction orders have
been lifted. All the roads have been reopened for the
Sheriff's department.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
All right, good morning. As you heard there, everything is
returning back to normal and Whitewater Township after the closures
yesterday from that gas leak from that train, there are
there is no product on the ground that they've identified,
and the us EPA officials on the scene say that
they've set up three mixed air monitoring stations and a

(02:02):
rover collecting air quality readings and so far the air
quality has been deemed safe, but will continue to monitor.
Speaking of trains and such, how serendipitous with the timing
on this one, The Norfolk Southern Railroad incident in East
Palestine just was settled at six hundred million dollars, but

(02:24):
in the settlement. There's no admission of wrongdoing from Norfolk Southern.
Now some residents devastated after this because there are reports
that Summer sick and still recovering from the toxic care
that was in East Palestine. Now no toxic air here.
Closer to Cincinnati and Whitewater Township, but interesting that they

(02:46):
both kind of landed on the same day with them.
Second in three things you need to know this morning,
I don't want to talk about Diddy. We're gonna take
a little break from Ditty. Let's talk about Lady Ga.
Guy had announced yesterday that she had announced she's dropping
a new album in tandem with the release of the
Joker movie. This is called Harley Quinn and we're getting

(03:06):
the first taste of some songs. Here's a clip of one.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
There's always a joke in the pack. That's always a
lonely club.

Speaker 4 (03:19):
The poorfic fool falls on his back.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
And everyone laughs when he's done.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
I'm looking forward to the movie comes out, like I said,
on October fourth, and I might get a little preview
of it this Monday, And if that's the case, I'll
definitely keep you in the loop, all right. And then lastly,
in three things you need to know this morning, Legally
Blonde is doing a preview and Reese Witherspoon made this

(03:48):
announcement on her social yesterday.

Speaker 5 (03:49):
You might like this big news to announce today. As
you probably know, we at Hello Sunshine are partnering with
Amazon to launch a new television show called which is
the prequel to Legally Blonde. And today I can't wait
to tell you that we are starting the casting process
and we are making it open.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
Yes, that is right.

Speaker 5 (04:13):
This is an open casting for the young Elwoods when
she was in high school. So send your submissions to
the link of my bio. I cannot wait to see
all the Elwoods out there. This is going to be
really fun.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
If you think you got a girl, go for it.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
I think I drop something on the floor that I
need to pick up.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
So you bend.

Speaker 6 (04:32):
Okay?

Speaker 3 (04:33):
Saw? All right?

Speaker 1 (04:34):
That's the twenty sixth of September. Three things you need
to know for this Thursday. Coming up at the beginning
of our seven o'clock hour, we're commercial free and I
have your chance to win Ohio Renaissance Festival passes at
eight thirty. Good morning.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
You're waking up fifth in the morning. Kiss one.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
All right, we're going to talk about the alpaca haircut.
Outside of sending me pictures of someone you know having
this alpaca haircut at the t to F s Potter
like the Wizard, there are multiple ways to get in
touch with the show. You can talk back with Tiff
on iHeartRadio. That's a good win. You'll see the microphone
next to the play button. You just hold that down,

(05:10):
or you can call it's the new way.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
Well it's not.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
I don't think it's necessarily new, but I would say
it's the most popular haircut trend for guys right now.
A lot of teenagers have it, definitely, you see students
have it. No one in my office has the alpaca haircut.
But that's because rick Yuchino's wearing thong sandals. That's a

(05:34):
type of crowd I'm dealing with here at seven hundred
WLW down the hall.

Speaker 6 (05:38):
Moms, Dad's if you've got the teen or tween boys
right now, you know that every single child looks like
an alpaca. That's right. A curly outpacka a straight haired
OUTPACKA an alpaca who wants to not be able to see.
We can't do anything about those horrible alpaca haircuts, but
we can do something about the smell.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
You know that this is ultimately gonna end us chit
chatting about trends that if that e've either come back
that you're super embarrassed by or things that you thought
were a really good idea when you were growing up
and then you look back at your Facebook archives and
you're horrified. Hello, thin eyebrows five win three seven four

(06:20):
nine one oh seven one. If you got one of those,
the alpaca haircut looks buzzed up. It looks like they're
at like a two on the sides, and then the
top is feathered and trimmed. It really it legitimately does
look like an alpaca. That's the best way to describe it.
Cool says it Benson Boone on a tip in the morning.

(06:43):
He's gonna be in Cincinnati on Monday. If you're going
to the show, I think I might end up seeing
you there. Kiss one O seven one's commercial free and
we're talking about the alpaca haircut, or at least it's
started there. The alpaca haircuts the new trendy haircut for
guys and for teenagers, and it has ultimately led us
to talking about trends we had growing up that we're

(07:05):
ultimately embarrassed about now when you look at your Facebook archives.
I always love revisiting this subject because every time we do,
we get someone new who's got a different trend that
I forgot about, so I love them. We'll start with you, hig,
you're on the air. Do you have one?

Speaker 7 (07:22):
Well, just thinking of it, my sister and I used
to do like routines and make my mom watch it,
and I think I actually have a video of it,
and like my sister would like twirling me around by
my arms, like I don't know about dancing or maybe
figure skating, but it was pretty hilarious.

Speaker 1 (07:40):
I'm crying when you said the word routines. It triggered
me because who didn't have a routine when they were
a kid?

Speaker 6 (07:47):
Right?

Speaker 1 (07:50):
I forgot to ask your name? Who is this? Ashley?

Speaker 2 (07:54):
Ashley?

Speaker 1 (07:54):
Thanks for calling Kiss one to seven one girl be
my age ll tt going to go through the whole thing,
but tell me you were singing along with at Chapel
roone on that one. Hi, good morning. We're in the
midst of talking about trends that you once wore that
you're now embarrassed. Of of course, you know it's also nostalgic,
not necessarily embarrassed. That might not be the right word.

(08:14):
The reason why we're talking about this this morning is
because the alpaca haircut, the alpaca haircut is real big,
And I'm just curious, when will we look back at
these Instagram or TikTok archives and be like, hm, that
was a choice. A trend that I am thinking of
is when we would wear like more than one.

Speaker 5 (08:36):
Tank top, like two or three different tank tops underneath
of our like polo shirts or something like.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
I don't know what was wrong with us?

Speaker 1 (08:44):
No, that lace CAMMI, that lace bottom CAMMI underneath the
polo whoo. I actually think that might be circling back
as we speak. Hi, Ashley, good morning, you're on the air.
Thanks for calling. What's yours? Well? For me, I was
one of the nineteen eight nine and nineteen nineties knee saws.
Like every girl at my school they have knee socks

(09:05):
and like you, tight miniskirts, and it was so and
you all thought it was so cool. But now looking back,
I actually think that might be a trend once again.
So you might as well just pull them back out, girl,
thank you for the call. I appreciate you. Let's put
a pin in this, but you're still, of course welcome
to joining on the conversation. Coming up two songs from now.

(09:28):
Have you ever had to like, ride or die for
your best friend when they think they have a really
good idea. We'll talk about why next.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
Glynn, you need to know she's got you.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
It's three things with tip.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
You're gonna be a movie star, Darling. Your chance at
the big screen or the television screen, I should say,
by the way, coming up at eight thirty, I have
your chance to win four tickets to the Ohio Renaissance Festival.
Maybe you can test out your actings skills there. And
there's a lot of characters I hear that go to
that thing. Reese Witherspoon made this announcement on her Instagram yesterday.

Speaker 5 (10:07):
You probably know we at Hello Sunshine are partnering with
Amazon to launch a new television show called el which
is the prequel to Legally Blond, and today I can't
wait to tell you that we are starting the casting
process and we are making it open.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
Yes, that is right, this is.

Speaker 1 (10:27):
An open casting for the young Elwoods. When she was
in high school.

Speaker 5 (10:31):
So send your submissions to the link of my bio.
I cannot wait to see all the elwoods out there.
This is going to be really fun.

Speaker 1 (10:38):
Go for it. If you think you have what it
takes to bend and snap, do it.

Speaker 4 (10:42):
I think I drop something on the floor that I
need to pick up, So you bend, okay, sah.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
I feel like that was the movie that put Jennifer
Coolidge on the map for that voice that she does
and went a hot dog, real bad. All right. Second,
and three things you need to know this morning. Just
prepare that on my show for quite some time, we're
gonna have a Diddy update, probably once a day. This

(11:09):
one though, I'm gonna let me play the clip and
then I'll get your opinion on him. His lawyer was
asked about why so much baby oil?

Speaker 3 (11:21):
I guess I don't know what you need.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
A thousand one bottle of baby oil goes a long way.
I don't know what you need to need a thousand for.

Speaker 3 (11:27):
I mean, he has a big house. He buys in bulk,
you know. I think they have Costco's in every place
where he has a home.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
So it's not a laughable matter. But you can't bring
Costco into this. You just can't bring Costco into it.
And I feel like, with like a federal case, sometimes
it's about optics. And right now, Mark Agnafilo, that's the
name of the lawyer, is the one creating the optics

(11:55):
for Diddy, and I felt like that just might have
not been like the best optics. Never once has he
been like, hey this, I mean, he keeps claiming Diddy's innocence,
but he's never like, you know, I would never harm
women like that. He's like, well, he probably just went
to Costco. Okay, already he is. Lawyers also saying that

(12:15):
Diddy's fine. You know, all these rumors have come out
about him being on suicide Watch and that he's not
eating because he's afraid of someone poisoning his food, and
the lawyer's like, nope, saw him yesterday. All good. I
don't know, we'll see what comes of that one, guys.
Of course, I'll keep you in the loop. And then, lastly,
in three things you need to know this morning, if
you didn't hear this clip in the last hour, Lady
Gaga announced that she's got a new album coming out

(12:36):
in tandem with the Joker movie, which releases on October fourth.
The album comes out on Friday, and here's a clip
of the joker.

Speaker 3 (12:44):
Joke hardod Jokers.

Speaker 1 (12:56):
The album's titled Hurley Quinn. All right, that is three
things you need to know for the twenty sixth of September.
Coming up at eight thirty, your chance to win the
Ohio Renaissance Festival passes because.

Speaker 3 (13:07):
You're waking up with in the morning, huh kiss?

Speaker 2 (13:09):
What use seven one?

Speaker 1 (13:10):
I'm very glad that you're here. Well, first of all,
the keyword for the Ohio Renaissance four pack coming up
around eight thirty is this morning is marsh girl. You're
gonna need the keyword marsh girl to win. Have you
ever had to support your best friend? Actually, it's not
even have you, because I know you have. It's when

(13:31):
and what was it that you had to support your
best friend on? They came to you and they were
so gung ho about this one idea, and in your
head the whole time, you're like, I don't know about this.
It's probably their latest MLM scam that they were convinced
that they were going to make a million dollars off
of what was it for you? My best friend Ashley
she lives in Boston. We use this app called Marco

(13:53):
Polo just quick side.

Speaker 6 (13:54):
No.

Speaker 1 (13:54):
If you have somebody that you're close with but you
can never find a way to connect with them because
you're on different schedules, try Marco Polo. It's like leaving
FaceTime voicemails. So she's telling me about how she wants
to cut her own hair. I said, I just really
need a haircut.

Speaker 5 (14:10):
I think I'm just gonna cut it myself, because I
obviously cut that its hair myself.

Speaker 1 (14:15):
And that's a different story because it's a buzzers and
it's like easier. But I think my hair is like
long enough and curly enough. A few chops and you
won't even.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
Know the difference.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
In my head, I'm like, yeah, we're gonna know the difference,
ash We're gonna know the difference. Bennett is her two
year old son, by the way, for context purposes, so
you can buzz a two year old's hair and it's fine.
When you're a woman in your mid thirties, I'm like, Ashley,
you're not the marsh girl.

Speaker 3 (14:43):
You have a full blown.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
Adult salary where you can afford to cut. You can
book a hair appointment with a hairdresser. Okay, you don't
live in the marshes of the Charlestown River in Boston,
and there was this small matter of surviving. I didn't
know how to do life without grits. By the way,
with the Crawdheads sing an incredible movie. If you haven't

(15:05):
seen it, so good, This is so good. I said
back to her. You know, I was upfront and honest,
and maybe I'm I don't know if I was harsh
or not, but I literally said to her, Ashley, you're
not the marsh girl. Just book the appointment you deserve
to get your haircut by a professional. Nod on your own.
But she was convinced that she was going to just
cut her own hair at Fall Girls Weekend, which is

(15:26):
an event where we drink pretty considerably at five one, three, seven,
four nine one o seven one. Here's what I want
to do. Have you ever had to like? Your friend
is trying to convince you that this is the best
idea on the planet. What was that idea? In the meantime,
marsh girl is the keyword you're going to need for
the Ohio Renaissance Festival tickets at eight thirty because you're.

Speaker 3 (15:48):
Waking up with fifth in the morning on Kiss one
O seven to one.

Speaker 1 (15:57):
Hi, good morning. I'm hoping that you have a keyword
for me.

Speaker 3 (16:02):
Marsh girl.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
Congratulations, Gallier collar ten and you got the keyword awesome. Congratulations.
You're going to the Ohia Renaissance Festival.

Speaker 3 (16:12):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (16:12):
What's your name? What neighborhood are you waking up with
me in this morning?

Speaker 3 (16:15):
Stephanie?

Speaker 7 (16:16):
And I'm driving to work right now, so I'm crossing over.

Speaker 1 (16:19):
Into Oh my god, Stephanie, jid you we were talking
about things that your friends were convinced were good ideas
and you knew deep down they were not. Do you
have one?

Speaker 7 (16:30):
My best friend has them all the time, from going
platinum blonde to painting her entire house of it.

Speaker 1 (16:37):
Are you the one that brings her back down? Or
are you just going with it?

Speaker 3 (16:42):
I go with it and I help her.

Speaker 1 (16:44):
Okay, good for you. I did not support my friend
in her marsh girl journey. So yeah, I don't know
what that says about me. But thank you for waking
up with TIF in the morning every day. I appreciate you.

Speaker 3 (16:53):
Yeah, it's awesome. I listened to you every day on
my lane.

Speaker 1 (16:56):
Oh, thank you very much. All right, we're gonna move
on to the three if you took a loss on
the Renfest tics, I've got you tomorrow at eight thirty
on a Friday, and I think it's going to be
raining on the way in tomorrow, So if you stay home,
you can always listen on iHeartRadio. Just search Kiss Okay,
coming up two songs from now, I've got the three
things you need to know to get your day started
in Cincy.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
G when you need to know, She's got you.

Speaker 3 (17:21):
It's three things with Tip Hi, good morning.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
We're just before nine o'clock and Hurricane Helene is set
to make landfall in Florida later on today. Now, my
mom lives in the Tampa area. The girl hasn't returned
a single text for me, so got to do a
wellness update on what's going on in my family. But
storm Searche storm surge wise could see significant in the Panhandle,

(17:49):
But it really just depends on which area of Florida
that you're in. As far as rain totals go, it's
a category three. DeSantis is evacuating people in certain areas,
So check in on your family if they'll answer your
text messages. But for us here in Sin sim we'll
see some rain showers moving in later tonight, more so
in the overnight and when you wake up tomorrow. They're saying,

(18:11):
nothing like crazy significant, but could be heavy rain at times.
Second in three things you need to know this morning.
I find this very interesting to the point where I
think we're going to have a conversation about Jenna de
Wan and Channing Tatum tomorrow at seven twenty because news
just broke that their divorce has officially been finalized. Now

(18:31):
a little bit of history. Jenna and Channing broke up
in twenty eighteen. They share a kid together. They've since
engaged to new people, and Jenna has two other kids
with the person she's engaged to. Channing's engaged to Zoe Kravitz,
by the way, if you didn't know that, but their
divorce just finalized just now. Divorce is a wild and

(18:55):
weird thing. I'm kind of oddly exposed to it at
the moment for some person and all like family things
that are going on in my inner circle, and just
the time, money, energy and effort that goes in divorce
into divorce is just wild. Both of them are waving

(19:15):
spouse of support and trying in the avoided trial. I
guess they have disputes over the profits from Magic Mic,
which came up during their divorce. Jenna was claiming that
it was developed using marital funds, which would make sense.
They were married for nine years, but it would make

(19:35):
sense they did the Step Up movie together, but then
he went on and did the Magic Mic franchise. But
you know, claiming that their earnings together is what helped
produce the movie, so she wanted a cut of it. Man,
divorce is sticky and messy, So I think we'll table
this conversation for seven to twenty tomorrow. You know, if
you've gone through something similar where you are with someone,

(19:56):
you're engaged to them, you have kids with them, but
they're still trying to get divorced from the first partner.
All right. Then, lastly, in three Things this morning, the
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees are as follows,
Mary J. Blige, Share Foreigner, Cool in the Gang are
all being inducted into this year's class, and it'll be

(20:17):
held and televised on New Year's Day. For some reason
that feels new to me, but the performers were just
announced at Doctor dre Dua Lipa Jelly Roll, and Demi Levado.
Demi Levado's come up in the news frequently in the
last couple of weeks because she has that new Like
Child Star documentary out on Hulum. That is three things

(20:37):
you need to know for the twenty sixth of September.
It's a Thursday. Coming up at nine to twenty, we'll
talk to Julie on the Job for our Ask Julie segment,
where you know she answers your questions about your career
if you're in the midst of changing jobs, or maybe
you're in the middle of one or the last question
we asked answered was about college and if you're trying

(20:57):
to navigate your college major and you're not sure about it,
ask Julie on the Job. Come in to Kiss at
nine twenty.

Speaker 2 (21:04):
Here.

Speaker 1 (21:04):
The best way to keep listening so you don't miss
it is on iHeart Radio when you search Kiss one
us have on one Good Morning because you're waking up
kiss good morning. Ask Julia on the Job. This is
our show's career mentor segment. She's helped me grow a
tremendous amount in my career and helped this show grow,
and so she answers your questions every week. This actually

(21:25):
isn't a specific question, Julie. This was a headline from
the New York Post that said gen Z doesn't have
what it takes. Another fragile gen Z quitting their job.
This hurts. So the story here, I know, and you
have such empathy for gen Z and how to help
them grow in their career, and that's a whole reason

(21:46):
why we do this segment. So essentially the gist of
the article, guys, was that worried that they're not able
to do the job that's expected of them to the
fullest of their ability, so they essentially be them to
the punch by quitting. This One example was having trouble
and having trouble with feeling pressured, fearful that she was

(22:08):
going to get replaced. So, like I said, it was
overwhelming and she just left. I can't imagine that's the
only gen Z doing that now.

Speaker 4 (22:17):
Now, what's so interesting is this particular article said that
she didn't feel like she could do the job at
one hundred percent, So what she expected of herself was
to walk in and be able to do one hundred
percent right away. Here's I'm here to do.

Speaker 3 (22:30):
Wake up call.

Speaker 4 (22:32):
If you can do your job one hundred percent right away,
you're going to be bored very quickly.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
Oh okay, that's a good perspective.

Speaker 4 (22:38):
So yeah, so there always should be room to grow
in everything that you do. Companies hire for potential, and
so looking back into what you've done up until this
day is great evidence of what you can do moving forward.

Speaker 1 (22:57):
We all have what we.

Speaker 4 (22:59):
Call impots uster syndrome from time to time, and women
more than men, and that is non specific to generations.
And the ability to go in and say I think
I can do a good job. I might need some training,
some help, some guidance, but I'm comfortable that I'm going
to go in and every day I'm going to learn

(23:20):
something new that's going to help me rock this job out. Now,
it's also possible that you might get in a job
where you say, oh, I don't think I can be
successful here because I don't have the interest or the skills,
or maybe even the job's different than I was told
it was and it's not interesting there is. You've got
to be able to recognize the difference.

Speaker 1 (23:42):
And I'm also hearing you say that you have to
be willing to put the work in so you know,
understanding that you're not going to be perfect, but the
desire to put the work in and being a social
media manager at the age of twenty two, that's a
big for a company. That's a big role. So yeah,
you're gonna have to grow and learn it that, but
you're also going to have to be the one that

(24:02):
puts the effort in and realize that there's probably not
a lot of hand holding in the corporate world. Hello,
learn that myself. I run this whole show by myself.

Speaker 4 (24:10):
Yep, yep, and it's really really scary. I get it,
it's scary for all of us. But you also have
to be willing to suck at something. And anybody with
any world experience will tell you that we all have
those cringe worthy moments where we realize that there was
something we thought we could do but we couldn't do.

Speaker 1 (24:28):
Not listen to the first season of this morning show exactly.
We're at the end of season two almost don't go back.
So what's your one tip then, for someone that's that
you're speaking directly to right now.

Speaker 4 (24:38):
Give yourself the chance and the opportunity to grow, fail,
pick yourself back up. That's what builds strength. Tom Brady.
Look at Tom Brady. He's began his broadcast career and
everyone's piling all over him. Yeah, but he's gonna stick
with it and in ten years he's going to say
the same thing.

Speaker 1 (24:56):
Yeah, I look back to my No, don't look back
to my whole season.

Speaker 4 (24:59):
This is This is a process of growth, and in
order to grow, you're not going to be the same
