Speaker 1 (00:00):
Because you're waking up with fifth in the morning.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Kiss Hey, good morning.

Speaker 1 (00:03):
So I realized I was in the wrong.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
I'm just gonna go ahead and be upfront about me
being in the wrong, but I still can't help but
feel a hair bit petty about this. Earlier in the show,
if you missed it, I gave the full review on
the New Joker movie. I had a chance to go
out to Showcase last night and get their early access
to it, and so you'll have to go back into

(00:25):
the podcast and catch up if you're really looking forward
to it, and you want my honest opinion, when you
go into the Showcase Imax Theater, there are I think
at minimum there's one thousand seats. It could be up
to at least two thousand seats. The theater is massive.
It's a Monday night, it's seven o'clock. I'm setting the scene.
By the way, I forgot to tell you guys this.

(00:47):
We're gonna talk about things at concerts or movies that
you've witnessed, that you've experienced.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
We're gonna talk about etiquette.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
And again, I know I'm in the wrong, but I'm
being a little pety on the air this morning. If
you're willing and able to indulge me on this. So
when we got to the theater, there was no one there.
There was maybe three people in a theater of two
thousand seats. So my friend Tom and I went and

(01:18):
just picked two random seats that we liked in the
theater with three people in it, few more people start
to show up, and this girl I noticed is coming
up the aisle and she's got a ticket in her hand,
and she's checking and she's checking the ticket, and she's
checking the seats, and she's checking the ticket, and she's
checking the seats, she's checking the ticket until she walks
pretty much directly up to my neighbor and I and says,

(01:41):
you're in my seat. It actually wasn't a verbal exchange.
We just kind of looked at each other and I said, oh, am,
I in your seat? And she said, yeah, is she
in the right? Of course, guys, of course she picked
a certain seat, she paid the money, she wants to
sit in the seat.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
I get that.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
I respect and understand that. Me on the other hand,
maybe it's because I just I avoid conflict, or it's
not even necessarily avoiding conflict. It's more like I just
look around like there's so many other seats in the theater.
Just have a seat somewhere anywhere. It doesn't really matter,
And I feel like this happens. Speaking, we talked a

(02:15):
lot about The Red City with Pete Rose. I feel
like this happens at Great American Ballpark when there's only
ten thousand, you know, people in a stadium of thirty
forty fifty thousand seats, You just pick a seat and
you sit down. There are certain situations though, like at
concerts where it's packed. I went to Sabrina Carpenter the
other night in Columbus. You have to sit in your

(02:37):
assigned seat because it is packed. When you go see
Joker on Friday, when it comes out and you bought
your seat ahead of time, you have to sit in
the seat because it's packed.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Right, But in a theater that's completely open.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
Completely, there are three people in there, would you have
said something to someone or would you have just chosen
a different seat to sit in?

Speaker 1 (03:00):
Three seven four nine one O seven one.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
Let's talk about concert and movie theater etiquette. If you've
seen something before, maybe you've been in a movie theater,
or someone's talked the entire time.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Really what anything goes in this situation. Again, I know
I was in the wrong, but you better believe that
my neighbor and I whispered about that girl for a
long time. Hi, good morning.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
Our Super Bowl halftime performer Kendrick Lamar on TIF in
the morning, you're waking up with kiss one oh seven
one commercial free.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
In fact, he had.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
A move like a trailer commercial rather at the premiere
for The Joker last night. I'm just remembering that you'll
get a taste of it if you go see Joker
this weekend. Let me I'll show you into this conversation
a little bit here if you're just joining us. I
had mentioned that I went to the movie last night
ahead of time, and when I sat down in my seat,
out of two thousand seats, there were maybe five people

(03:50):
in the theater, and my friend and I just picked
two random seats and sat down, and some girl who
had chosen the seats that we were sitting in came
up to us and said, hey, you're in our seats.
Of course we moved, and of course she had every
right to sit there. But I was like, I felt
a little petty about it, and I know I'm in
the wrong. But I don't like they just sit down somewhere.

(04:11):
Good morning, You're on the air. We're talking about movie
theater or even concert going etiquette.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
Good morning, Tip. I got one question. Did you when
you moved, did you like get up and like move
like a couple roads back or did you just like
move a couple of seats over when she asked you
to move?

Speaker 2 (04:30):
We moved into an entire different row because I didn't
want any of that uncomfortable energy around me while I
was watching the movie for three hours.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
That's fair. I think I'm a little petty, and I
definitely would have just moved over like two seats and
just sat right back.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
Down, sane. This is why I love you.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
Oh my god, I felt okay, But do you see
where I'm coming from. I know I sound cuckoo because
obviously she chose the seat that she chose and I
was in it. But in a completely open theater where
there's two thousand seats and five people in the theater,
just sit somewhere else?

Speaker 3 (05:04):
Yeah, like, come on, like pick a better seat like you?
Where does your oyster? Let's upgrade yourself? Why not? Zay?

Speaker 2 (05:13):
And I also have to tell you I watched so
I went last night for the Joker premiere and I
did not like the movie.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
Ooh, okay, did you like the first one?

Speaker 2 (05:25):
I don't really remember it, to be honest, I think
I actually don't even know if I.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
Remember seeing it in full.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
So you, you know, don't hold it against me for
giving an opinion on the second without seeing the first.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
But I did not like this movie, and I.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
Was really shocked by that.

Speaker 3 (05:44):
Yeah that is eventually. I mean, it's got Lady.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
Gaga in this one, right, yeah, Lady Gagan.

Speaker 3 (05:49):
Okay, okay, interesting, Okay, well, ze joby watched the first
one and you like it. A little more makes it
a little better.

Speaker 2 (05:59):
But well, Zane, thanks for calling me. How's west Chester
this morning?

Speaker 3 (06:04):
It's a good little little gray outside, but welcome to Sancy.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Okay, well, Happy Halloween month.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
Happy Halloween. I'm very excited. Woo.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
My neighbor has all the blow up all the blow
up Halloween characters out on their you know, little front
patio there commercial free for a little bit longer. Coming
up in two songs, I have the three things you
need to know to get your day started in Sincy,
so don't go far
