Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're waking you know, I actually don't mind Mondays because
Sarah and I good morning.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
Sarah, thank you, Good morning.
Speaker 1 (00:08):
We break down the biggest things that happened, let's say,
in the last seventy two hours across your phone in Cincinnati.
Maybe things that happened that you didn't get a chance
to see because you were wrapped up in whatever it
is that was going on in your own social life
or your own family life. I am telling you right now,
the lead story in Chit Chat Roulette will have spoiler alerts.
Speaker 3 (00:28):
Yeah, if you're planning on seeing Joker, maybe tune out
for a minute or two.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
Give us like ninety seconds to talk about this movie.
Who am I Kidding's probably gonna take up the next
three or four minutes. But where's our bed for this? Okay,
here it is? Are you ready? I'm so ready? Five
minutes going on the clock.
Speaker 4 (00:46):
Here we go, just became minutes.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
I like spinning the wheel. Let's just spin it. I
already know what we're leading with. Okay, The Joker was
a joke.
Speaker 4 (00:59):
That movie. He sucked so bad.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
I had a chance to see it over a week ago,
so I've been stewing on this information until you saw it.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
Okay, go ahead. The Joker is not a joke.
Speaker 4 (01:11):
It's a joke.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
Here's the thing.
Speaker 3 (01:13):
It sucks if you've not seen the original because it
relates to the first one so much that if you
go just to see Lady Gaga, like that was gonna
be my mom, She's like, I want to go see Gaga, Mom,
you gotta watch the first one before going. Otherwise a
lot of it's not gonna make sense. There are so
many characters from the first one in this one, especially
(01:35):
in the court scene, very heavily on the characters, that
nothing would make sense. You don't even know why the
Joker is called the Joker if you don't see the
first one. Okay, So the whole movie is about Arthur,
who is the Joker, and he's going back and forth
in his own head about am I the Joker or
am I just Arthur? And then we meet Harley Quinn,
(01:57):
which in the movie her name is Lee Lady Gaga,
and she's not who you think she is. She's more
of a villain's cuckoo. She's very manipulative, and she wants
Arthur to be the Joker so bad. So that kind
of is the entire plot and everything leading into what
his sentencing is going to be, and it's just completely WOWD.
(02:20):
It's Arthur going back and forth in his own head
about what makes more sense for him.
Speaker 4 (02:25):
I like the way that you explained it.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
Yes, regardless first one, regardless if I've seen the first
one or not, it wasn't about a plot connectivity issue
for me. I understood what the story was trying to
go for. Even if I didn't see Joker one. The
plot line sucked, it was boring. I will tell you this,
The two are not alike at all.
Speaker 3 (02:49):
The first one is so dark and the storyline is
so much heavier and there's so much more to it,
whereas with this one it is a musical.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
It's a little bit slower.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
I have to tell me.
Speaker 4 (03:00):
There was too much music.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
It's a little too much towards the end.
Speaker 4 (03:04):
Did you look at JD and you were like, another song,
here we go.
Speaker 3 (03:07):
We never thought that, But there were a few moments
where it got dark and I kind of wanted it
to stay dark, to be more like the first one.
And then you get back into Arthur's head, and anytime
you get into his head is where they break out
into songs, and I'm like, oh, I kind of wanted
it just to be dark for a little bit longer.
Speaker 4 (03:25):
The plotline was boring. It was boring.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
It does not follow any typical like Superhero Villain DC.
Speaker 4 (03:33):
It does not follow down.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
The climax of the movie happens within the last maybe
fifteen minutes of the movie, and at that point you're like,
this isn't even the climax I was looking for. I
will say the acting is phenomenal, absolutely.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
The singing, the acting.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
I mean, Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga are so brilliant,
and they're so smart, and they're so good at what
they do. It's good to see it for that. But
if you want to fully enjoy this film and understand it,
don't spend God, you gotta see the first one first.
Speaker 4 (04:02):
Don't even waste your time.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
It is it is phenomenal. You will love this movie
if you have seen the first one.
Speaker 4 (04:08):
That doesn't make no. It does literally nothing for you.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
If you've seen the first one, and I get I
haven't seen the first one, but it wasn't a plot
connectivity issue.
Speaker 4 (04:15):
The plot sucked. It just was bad. It was a disappointment.
I don't think that it was a disappointment.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
I think you can't you have.
Speaker 4 (04:24):
You were disappointed by it.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
I was not disappointed.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
And the ending is so cool because it leads into
something else. It was a snooze fant No, they spent
what was happening at the end.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
Yes, they must have spent so much money on Lady
Gaga that they didn't have the rest of the money
to know. The ending is the entire plot takes place
in two places.
Speaker 4 (04:46):
The entire movie takes place in one place.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
And there's nothing wrong with that.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
That's not even the problem because you're you know, it
starts off with Arthur like being in his cell because
that's where he's been for the past couple of years
after the six murders, and then it's mostly there, and
then you're going into the courtroom and you're kind of
like going back and forth.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
Sarah, you're trying to get me to like something that
I think sucked.
Speaker 3 (05:09):
So I just believe in this film. I give it
an eight out of ten. It's not nearly as good.
There is a lot of music. Remember it's a musical.
Don't go see here just because a lady got kay.
Speaker 1 (05:17):
You typically tend you tend to find the positive in
any negative situation. I love that about you, Thank you,
but you don't need to do that with it.
Speaker 4 (05:25):
I saw it, I don't like it. I'm giving it to.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
Stand on the mountain.
Speaker 3 (05:30):
Really, this is an amazing movie, I promise you.
Speaker 2 (05:33):
But I'm telling how.
Speaker 4 (05:34):
Walking Phoenix's number uses Daddy.
Speaker 2 (05:38):
Not in that movie, not in Tooker, okay, but in IRL.
Speaker 1 (05:43):
What do you do you want to add anything? I
don't want to talk about the Bangs. Please don't bring
up the Bengals. What I do want to talk about
quickly is Vanderbilt. Can we talk about that absolutely, because
it was awesome. What I'm confused if you can rip
a goalpost down?
Speaker 3 (05:54):
Oh, and they managed to do so, and in carrying
into a river, Yes, they carried it for miles. By
the way, thousands of people flooding the streets and carrying
this goalpost to celebrate the victory over Alabama, because it
never happens.
Speaker 1 (06:08):
I'm confused on why the school was like, yeah, no
big deal, rip the goal post down and put it
into the river.
Speaker 3 (06:14):
Oh, they're not going to stop them. Even the police
officers were taking photos. I mean, it was great.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
It's kind of like if they need to go play
this weekend or the other games.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
Don't find another goal post, they'll figure it out.
Speaker 4 (06:25):
Oh, they just have those on it.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
They're gonna go on Amazon. I need this in the
next seventy two hours. Police. This would be equivalent to
the UC Bearcats beating the Ohio State buck Guys. That's
how big of a win this was for Vanderbilt. It
was a very exciting time for them.
Speaker 1 (06:40):
Okay, hey, coming up in about an hour from now,
we're going to talk about Ruggate. Have you heard anything
about that? What's going on in Ohio and Columbus? Rather
speaking of Osure, what is it called ruggate? They're rug
gate now finding bodies in the rugs and Columbus And
we'll have updates for you in about an hour.
Speaker 4 (06:56):
Thank you, Sarah.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
I'm all fire enough.
Speaker 4 (07:00):
Quinn
