Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're waking up with fifth in the morning time.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Kiss one US seven one, Hi, how are you?
Speaker 3 (00:06):
Good morning? Good morning. It's Tuesday.
Speaker 4 (00:13):
Tuesdays are the day that we get into relationship conversations
in our seven o'clock hour, So I'm happy that I'm
catching you now to warn you ahead of time. Also
going to warn you ahead of time at some point today,
tomorrow and the next day, we're definitely gonna talk about
Hurricane Milton, at least from a news standpoint. I'll have
the latest for you in three things around six point
(00:35):
fifty this morning. But the conversations with my mother have begun.
She lives pretty much in the direct eye of where
the storm is supposed to go, and she's not very mobile,
so she's gonna end up staying.
Speaker 3 (00:50):
And I don't know what to believe. I don't know
what to do.
Speaker 4 (00:54):
I mean, of course, I believe are the meteorologists that
are saying it's very bad.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
I just I don't know, like are we? I don't know,
I don't know. I don't know. I don't know.
Speaker 4 (01:06):
She's lived in Florida for twenty years, so she's very
familiar with how hurricanes work and how bad weather works.
So I can't really tell her what to do, But
don't you feel like that's happening like where parents are
starting to tell their kids or I'm sorry vice versa,
kids are starting to tell their parents. When you're a millennial,
you're starting to tell your boomer parents how to live
(01:28):
their life and what to do, and they just straight
up ignore it. I'm like, wow, how the tables have turned.
So she's gonna stay, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
I mean, we'll check in with her throughout the you know,
throughout the time, on the show, et cetera. Maybe I'll
get her on the errand do you guys want that?
Speaker 5 (01:44):
I don't.
Speaker 4 (01:44):
I don't even want that. But maybe coming up later
on we might not talk to my mom outside of
make a date or break. I do have your chance
at a thousand bucks. I'm gonna pay your bills on kiss.
I'm sure it'll come in handy, especially as we enter
the back half of the year, and a free trip
to our iHeartRadio jingle ball All that's happening at nine
oh five. Best way to keep listening to TIF in
(02:06):
the morning is on the iHeartRadio app g WHNN.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
You need to know she's got you.
Speaker 1 (02:12):
It's three things with tiff On Kiss when I was seven.
Speaker 6 (02:15):
One state of Florida is amassing fuel reserves ahead of
Milton and staging it to be utilized as needed. Those
quantities include four hundred and fifteen thousand gallons of diesel
three hundred and eighty nine thousand gallons of gasoline.
Speaker 4 (02:28):
So that was Governor DeSantis with just one of the
problems that Florida is running into right now as they
evacuate for Hurricane Milton. The eye of the storm is
supposed to be one of the strongest that that area
has seen in the Tampa Bay area and years and
years and years. They are going to close Tampa Airport
later on this afternoon just in case you or anyone
you know has a flight.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
Headed in that direction.
Speaker 4 (02:49):
Ours worth of traffic getting out of Florida yesterday and
it just it was. It was set to be a
Category five, which is one hundred and fifty plus mile
an hour winds. It has since downgraded to a category four,
but not much better at one hundred and forty I'm sorry,
one hundred and twenty mile an hour wins. I'm definitely
gonna keep you posting on that. I'm thinking of anyone,
including my mom that lives in that area.
Speaker 3 (03:10):
All right. Second, and three things this morning.
Speaker 4 (03:12):
Terry Francona officially announced as a Cincinnati read yesterday.
Speaker 7 (03:16):
I didn't think about managing a whole lot this year,
and then when the Reds reached out, I started looking
at the team a little more closely, and they came
out to visit.
Speaker 3 (03:28):
It just felt right.
Speaker 4 (03:29):
I love that Terry Francona has a three year contract
with a four year club option through twenty twenty eight,
and he's gone on to win some World Series. So
let's hope for the best for our Reds. And then, lastly,
three things you need to know. We'll spend more time
on it in our next hour. But Taylor Swift was
spotted at Travis Kelsey's game last night and the Chiefs
did win against the Saints. That is three things you
(03:50):
need to know for the eighth of October. Coming up next,
make a date or break At seven to twenty.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
It's time to make a date or break on TIF
in the morning.
Speaker 3 (04:00):
Good morning, good morning, Good morning.
Speaker 4 (04:02):
Relationships and therapy come together on my show every Tuesday
with Lori Sharpage. She's our relationship expired. Good morning, good morning,
we're giggling about stuff that we're talking about off air.
I also want to welcome everyone from Instagram Live.
Speaker 8 (04:15):
Thank you.
Speaker 4 (04:15):
If you're not following us, we're at Kiss one oh seven.
It's a good way to get in touch with us
before we dive into this relationships.
Speaker 3 (04:23):
Today, we're gonna talk about friendships though.
Speaker 4 (04:26):
What happens when you have something that comes between you
and your bestie. Typically we talk about relationships in the
sense of like intimacy and whatnot.
Speaker 3 (04:36):
But today we're gonna talk about friendships.
Speaker 4 (04:37):
Yeah, what happens when this one thing comes between you
and your bestie?
Speaker 3 (04:42):
What are you supposed to do?
Speaker 5 (04:43):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (04:44):
I can't wait. So I got a message.
Speaker 4 (04:46):
I'm gonna keep her anonymous because there's a pretty big
bomb that drops in this.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
Okay, and then I'll get your take on it.
Speaker 4 (04:53):
Okay, Tiff, First of all, I listen to your station
every day. You're hilarious and your stories are so funny.
In the morning on my drive to work. So I
just found out I'm pregnant. I'm really nervous to tell
my best friend because we've been having such a great
summer and I don't want to ruin it. We're super
excited to complete our little family. I don't know why
(05:14):
I'm so nervous. We both have two kids already that
are the same age, so this isn't anything new.
Speaker 3 (05:20):
We're just older now.
Speaker 4 (05:21):
It might have something to do with her making up
with her ex bestie.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
They were friends long before me and her.
Speaker 4 (05:29):
I'm usually not the jelly type, but maybe I'm feeling
like they'll get closer being able to go out and drink,
whereas I get sick at the thought of tequila right now.
She's also been going through a lot, so I've just
been listening to her, So maybe I'm also just waiting
for the right time to talk about me.
Speaker 3 (05:47):
Also, I was.
Speaker 4 (05:48):
Wondering if you had any tickets to the Lotto concert.
I think it would be a great conversation if I
had two tickets to her favorite artist.
Speaker 3 (05:56):
Lol.
Speaker 4 (05:57):
At the end, Girl, I love the story, and I
also love the fact that you're coming to me for
relationship advice and also for Lotto tickets.
Speaker 9 (06:09):
Fantasy.
Speaker 4 (06:10):
I could say you got, but there was a lot
in there to unpack.
Speaker 3 (06:14):
I actually, where do you want to start with this one?
Speaker 10 (06:17):
So the first thing is I want to start with
the fact that we can feel often in our relationships
with our best friends, we can feel very insecure in
them if we feel that that relationship might change. Our
besties are really a foundation. They are a rock in
our life, and so it's okay if you feel insecure
in that relationship. Sometimes we feel like we shouldn't feel
that way in friendships, but it happens.
Speaker 4 (06:39):
It's almost crazier to feel insecure with your best sie
than you do with your significant other.
Speaker 3 (06:45):
And this is like a rooted seed that lives deep.
Speaker 4 (06:48):
Inside you where you're like, why am I coming off
as crazy right now that I feel this type of
way about my best friend? I don't want to feel
this way, but it comes up. There's this little bit
of jealousy, especially when you've introduced someone to a friend
of yours and they become super close and they leave
you out of it.
Speaker 10 (07:08):
Yeah for sure. I mean I like what she said.
She's not the jelly type. But here we are, here,
we are have.
Speaker 5 (07:17):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (07:18):
Okay, So there was that there was go yeah, I
interrupted you go yeah, no, absolutely, I was just saying that,
you know, it's it's okay to feel that level of jealousy,
and it's indicative of like, oh, my gosh, things are
about to change.
Speaker 10 (07:29):
And often we feel that insecurity when we know things
are going to change and a pregnancy is going to
interrupt your hot girl summer, it just is. I'm not
saying it's going to make it better or worse, it's
just going to change it.
Speaker 3 (07:40):
And so part of this is recognizing that.
Speaker 10 (07:42):
Part of the insecurity is like you're like, oh, even
though I already have two kids and I know what
this means, and other one's on the way, and I'm
not going to be able to show up for this
friendship the way I had been and we were having
so much fun doing so, so it's a loss.
Speaker 4 (07:53):
I also feel like, guys, you you're more than welcome
to chime in if this is If this type of
jealousy happens to you, you would have to let me
know if that's a why or an m.
Speaker 3 (08:04):
But I feel like it specifically happens to Mom's for sure.
Speaker 4 (08:09):
That's what she was worried about, Like her and her
other friend, we're gonna go off and have it tequila summer,
now a's tequila fall.
Speaker 3 (08:14):
Yeah, she was gonna be locked in the house. I
feel for her on that too.
Speaker 10 (08:17):
Motherhood can be very lonely experience parenthood in general, but
motherhood particularly during pregnancy and postpartum.
Speaker 3 (08:23):
So I think that's one thing.
Speaker 10 (08:25):
Definitely check on your friends who are going through it
because they are experiencing something different. But the good news
is is that eventually usually people come back together.
Speaker 3 (08:33):
You know it.
Speaker 10 (08:33):
Maybe you're taking an hiatus for eighteen months, but you're
gonna be back with that bestie doing tequila shots if
you want to be you hope, Yeah, you hope.
Speaker 3 (08:42):
You hope.
Speaker 4 (08:43):
How would you recommend that she does approach and tell
her friend if I can't, you know, if the lotto.
Speaker 3 (08:48):
Tickets don't come through, I could tell you how What
would be your piece of advice?
Speaker 10 (08:56):
Yeah? I agree the concert would be amazing, but if
you can't make that happen, and I think a face
to face conversation would be great. And I think with
lead with like, I've had so much fun with you
and I'm so excited about what's next. But I'm a
little sad because I know things are gonna change for
a little bit and allow that feeling to come to
the table, you will feel less insecure if you can
talk about your feeling with your friend.
Speaker 4 (09:16):
I'm very curious if since he has gone through I
mean there is some this has happened to other people,
Oh for sure. I'm curious though about the friend aspect
that she had mentioned, where she might be a little
bit jealous that while she's pregnant, this girl and her
other friend are gonna get very close and kind of
(09:37):
almost leave her behind. Sincey, if you've gone through something similar,
I would love to hear from you. Five win three
seven four nine one oh seven one will get you.
Speaker 3 (09:45):
On the air next. Cannot guarantee that Latta would fix this. However, I.
Speaker 4 (09:52):
Could sell You've got bait dait make a Date or
Break to where relationships and therapy come together on my show.
Have you ever had a similar feeling with your best friend?
Have you ever gotten jealous that they've been friends with
someone else? Or maybe you've been on the other side
of that five win three seven four one o seven one.
Speaker 3 (10:11):
In the meantime, we're still commercial freak. Good morning, Hi,
good morning.
Speaker 4 (10:14):
You're waking up with Tiff in the morning on Kiss
one oh seven one. It's make a Date or Break Tuesdays.
It's where relationships and therapy come together on my show.
With our Relationship expert Lori sharp Page, and today we're
actually talking about friendships over intimate relationships, which we get
every once in a while.
Speaker 3 (10:32):
I forgot to turn your microphone on.
Speaker 2 (10:33):
Good morning it is.
Speaker 1 (10:36):
So we're in the.
Speaker 4 (10:36):
Midst of talking about petty reasons that you've gotten into
a fight with your best friend. And now there are
multiple ways to get in touch with us outside of
us talking one on one five win three seven four
nine one O seven one, you can leave us a talkback,
So talk back with Tiff anytime. On the iHeartRadio app.
When you search kiss, you'll see the microphone next to
(10:57):
the play button. Here's our first one.
Speaker 8 (10:58):
Okay, I have a friend and that from college that
we were like best friends and we got into an
argument he said, she said, kind of thing that upset
each other. And I have now discovered that my friend
has blocked me, and it's so sad. I don't you know,
It's like the life is short, right, but oh well,
(11:20):
you're blocked, get over it.
Speaker 4 (11:22):
Thoughts on social thoughts on social first of all, thoughts, Yeah,
it's sad when you have a relationship like that and
all of a sudden you're blocked.
Speaker 3 (11:30):
Blocking is ghosting in my opinion, if you.
Speaker 10 (11:33):
Do not give a hey, you know, I'm I'm I
don't think that this relationship is healthy for me.
Speaker 3 (11:40):
I'm going to block you.
Speaker 10 (11:41):
Now that's not always appropriate, but I think in a
long term relationship like this, or after you've had a
conflict like that, it's important to kind of like end
the relationship with a level of care. So just blocking it,
in my opinion, is not the most emotionally rich or
way to go. It also doesn't really leave the door
open for healing. And sometimes in life we grow up
part from our friends and we grow back together even stronger.
Speaker 4 (12:03):
Sometimes I feel like people's expectations of their friends is
almost higher than what it is for their significant other.
Speaker 3 (12:10):
Oh.
Speaker 10 (12:11):
I absolutely think that that's how you get a lot
of emotional support from our friends. And we also can
get into a really big blind spot with that and
not really recognize how much they are doing and supporting
us in our lives. And that's why it's important to
always be mindful with conflict, to talk it through after
the actual conflict and see if you can rebuild from there.
Speaker 4 (12:29):
But if I have someone in my life that I'm
close with and they've blocked me on social media. My
thought is, Okay, we weren't really that great of friends
in the first place, So what would you recommend I
reach out to them or just walk away?
Speaker 10 (12:41):
I mean, I would recommend that you do your own
healing work, whatever that looks like. But no, I wouldn't
invest any other resources. If they haven't invested to let
you know why they're blocking you. I don't think you
need to invest the time to try and figure it
out yourself.
Speaker 4 (12:54):
The way to get them to unblock you is a
parilotto tickets.
Speaker 3 (13:01):
I can tell you that's right. All these solutions here.
Speaker 4 (13:05):
If you're just walking into this conversation, the reason why
we're laughing is from our original conversation earlier this morning.
You'll have to go back and get caught up on
the podcast. I'm glad you're here now, though we've got
time for one more. We're talking petty fights that you've
gotten into with your friend and how do you fix
and heal them with Lori Sharpage's our licensed clinical counselor.
We've got about forty seconds left.
Speaker 11 (13:25):
So I have this one friend who she just has
this whole thing about Oh Christmas was invented by the
toy companies and uh, you know, she gave.
Speaker 3 (13:34):
Me a book on why you.
Speaker 2 (13:35):
Shouldn't give Christmas presents.
Speaker 5 (13:38):
She doesn't want presents and she drives me crazy this
type of your so.
Speaker 3 (13:42):
She's a little scroogey as we head into the holidays.
Speaker 10 (13:44):
Your thoughts, I mean, let her be her, but you
don't have to. You know this that you be you
and she can be her. But I think that maybe
it's just not really a topic you guys discussed that much,
because it sounds like.
Speaker 3 (13:55):
You're in very different places. And that's a good way,
and that's a good place to stop too.
Speaker 4 (14:00):
If you want to get in touch with Lorid Sharpage,
she's at the Coping Queen on Instagram. Love to have
you every Tuesday here on TIF in the morning, and
we're not far off from the three things you need
to know to get your day started in Sincy.
Speaker 2 (14:12):
When you need to know she's got you.
Speaker 1 (14:16):
It's three things with TI.
Speaker 3 (14:18):
Hey, good morning.
Speaker 4 (14:19):
We're just before eight o'clock on this Tuesday. I had
provided some Hurricane Milton updates earlier in our three Things,
but it's downgraded just very slightly though, from a category
five to a category four, still with over one hundred
mile an hour wins getting ready to hit the.
Speaker 3 (14:35):
Gulf coast of Florida.
Speaker 4 (14:37):
All flights are being canceled as of later on this
afternoon when Tampa closes its airport.
Speaker 3 (14:42):
So I just promised to keep you updated on that one.
Speaker 4 (14:45):
Let's start off with tragedy in Owington, Kentucky, about ninety
minutes from here. Three people lost their life last night
from an air evac life team when.
Speaker 3 (14:58):
The helicopter craft.
Speaker 4 (15:00):
Gail Ellman, Bethany Aiken, and James Walsh all lost their
lives at work, which is just a feeling. I can't
even imagine what it's like to say goodbye to someone
that you know and having the feel you'll see them later, right,
and then something happened like this happens, and it's complete tragedy.
The Kentucky State Police have of course identified the victims
(15:23):
that are working with the Federal Aviation Administration and the
NTSB on investigating the crash. At this hour in the morning,
I still don't have word as to what happened, but
unimaginable and unthinkable. So I'm thinking of them and their
families this morning, and of course, if you're connected by
chance to anyone in that part of Kentucky, sending good
(15:45):
vibes your whim all right. Second, in three things you
need to know this morning, let's talk about Taylor Swift
finally showing up to the Chiefs game.
Speaker 3 (15:55):
When I say finally, the internet.
Speaker 4 (15:57):
Has really just gone off on the fact that she
hasn't been at the last two games. However, she did
show up last night in an all plaid outfit, which
she'll hear Jason Kelsey describe here in a hot second.
Speaker 3 (16:08):
She wasn't wearing any cheap scare.
Speaker 11 (16:10):
I know that the optics have certainly appeared that way
to a look at that. Now she's got the part
all right there that looks good. Tread is always gonna
fly the way to show up and show out.
Speaker 3 (16:23):
At first of all, I like Jason Kelce in this
TV role.
Speaker 4 (16:26):
I think he's doing a good job and I'm sure
he loved being able to talk about his brother. Of course,
they we've seen them in the Flesh Irral here in
Cincinnati multiple times, so it was cool to see them
on TV last night. But I didn't really see much
of Taylor on my feed outside of her walking into
(16:46):
the stadium. And you remember what the rumors were that
they were supposed to end their relationship about two weeks ago.
Speaker 3 (16:53):
I thought the optics.
Speaker 4 (16:54):
Were funny that she hasn't been at the last two games.
Do I think the relationships on the Rocks.
Speaker 3 (16:59):
I don't know, guys.
Speaker 4 (16:59):
I'm not in their group text, but I'm wishing them
the best. Taylor is getting ready to kick off her
US dates in Miami next week, and then she'll be
in Indianapolis and the first week in November, so a
week or two later.
Speaker 3 (17:14):
All right.
Speaker 4 (17:14):
And then lastly, in three Things you Need to Know
this morning, Terry Francona was introduced to Cincinnati as a
Cincinnati read for the first time yesterday. I've been playing
the audio all morning long. So here's a new clip
just in case you didn't hear it, Marty.
Speaker 7 (17:34):
Can you believe I'm standing here? I know, I know,
I know. I am so honored to rejoin the Reds family.
Speaker 3 (17:43):
I'm excited too.
Speaker 5 (17:45):
You know.
Speaker 4 (17:45):
We're signing him through a three year contract, which she'll
go through twenty twenty seven. There's a club option for
twenty twenty eight, where the fourth club that he's led
in his first in the National League since he managed
Philly from ninety seven to two thousand, we know he
can bring home world series, including my Boston Red Sox
and O four in two thousand and eight.
Speaker 3 (18:05):
There's a little bit of a.
Speaker 4 (18:06):
Health concern with him coming out of Cleveland, but overall
Cincinnati seemed excited yesterday, and my god, did we need
it after the Bengals loss.
Speaker 1 (18:18):
I've just watched him play foot play foot play. So
many years of disappointment, but they finally stepped up.
Speaker 4 (18:25):
By the way, if you didn't hear my conversation yesterday,
and if you have Pete Rose merchandise, whether it's signed
or not, if you have a baseball card and you
find it in your grandparents' basement or something when you're
cleaning it out over the next year, you have to
get caught up on the podcast.
Speaker 3 (18:42):
I interviewed someone yesterday and they.
Speaker 4 (18:44):
Talked about how a a Pete Rose card went for
almost a million dollars. Search tift Iff in the morning
on iHeartRadio. It's posted right at the top there. Okay,
all right, coming up or about an hour from now,
around nine oh five, is you have a chance to
win a thousand bucks, I'm gonna pay on kiss. I'll
also throw in that free trip to our iHeartRadio jingle
Ball in New York starring Katie Perry. So the best
(19:06):
way to keep listening is on iHeart Radio and just
search Kiss one oh seven one.
Speaker 1 (19:10):
You're waking up with fifth in the morning.
Speaker 3 (19:12):
Hi, Kiss one one Hanai, good morning.
Speaker 4 (19:14):
I'm gonna do my best to not make this about me,
but I'm gonna use my story as a launch point
as to what we're talking about this morning.
Speaker 3 (19:22):
Thanks for making me a part of the routine.
Speaker 4 (19:24):
I hope you know by now that when my show
is designed, the way we've designed it together is whatever's
happening in the celebrity world, or here in Cincinnati, or
in your own personal world. We kind of take it
to our radio kitchen table every morning and we chit
chat through it. Sometimes it's funny, sometimes it's sad, it's
kind of just whatever. It's a mixed bag. My mother
and I, according to me, are in a fight right
(19:46):
now because Number one, the woman cannot figure out her
Android phone. For the life of her, she cannot get
her act together when it comes to this phone. Right now,
I think she has me blocked, but she doesn't know
that she has me blocked. Second reason we're in a
fight is because she lives in Tampa, where Hurricane Milton
(20:12):
is about to drill later on tonight into tomorrow. Tampa
Airport is closed as of later on this afternoon. By
the way, if you have a flight or anyone you
know is going towards Tampa and it's teetering between a
category four and a category five hurricane, which has to
do with winds and storm surge and such. She lives
in Tampa, that place hasn't seen this type of hurricane
(20:34):
in decades, and she's not leaving. She said, to me,
let me just pull up the text message that we
were able to have yesterday. She said, We're not going anywhere.
This one's gonna be ours. We've been so lucky. I said,
will it be bad for you? She said, so, it's predicted.
(20:57):
We've escaped many times now and so time has run out.
I'm also like, mom, why are you sending some morbid
right now? And I said, okay, So what are you
planning to do? And she says, sorry, I lost it?
(21:19):
Why did this go away?
Speaker 5 (21:20):
Sorry?
Speaker 3 (21:21):
I'm I'm obviously torn up about this.
Speaker 4 (21:25):
She goes, So, it's predicted we're going to do a
lot of outside, a lot outside and if it gets bad.
Speaker 3 (21:31):
We'll retreat to the bathroom.
Speaker 4 (21:34):
What is your bathroom going to do for you with
a hurricane that is supposed to have one hundred and
twenty mile an hour winds and a storm surge of
like ten to fifteen feet that we've talked about it
before in the show when children have to become the parents?
Speaker 3 (21:54):
Why why is this like this? Here's what I would love.
Speaker 4 (21:57):
I would love for someone to call me right now
in three seven, four, nine, one oh seven one and
tell me a time in which you've had to do
something similar, maybe not the same, but a time where
you fought with your parents because they weren't doing what
you told them to do or what was safe. But
good luck in the bathroom, friend, Hi, good morning, you're
waking up. It's tip in the morning on kissue oh
seven one. It's still commercial free and I still can't
(22:19):
get a hold of my mother. If you're just walking
into this conversation, we've been talking about things that you've
kind of gotten into little arguments with.
Speaker 3 (22:28):
Your parents over.
Speaker 4 (22:30):
In this case, my mom lives directly in the path
of Hurricane Milton in the city of Ebor, which is
a part of Tampa. Teetering between a hurricane category four
and five right now. That has to do with winds
and storm surge, et cetera. And she one is not
answering my text messages, and two has decided that she's
gonna stay and seek refuge in her bathroom if needed.
Speaker 3 (22:53):
And I'm like, mom, Mom, so I would love to
lean on you.
Speaker 4 (23:02):
Maybe you've gotten into a fight with your parent, maybe
you've gone through something similar.
Speaker 3 (23:06):
I don't know. We'll start with you. What's your name
the neighborhood do you call me from this morning? My
name's all right, asking question for you.
Speaker 4 (23:13):
My mom lives in Tampa, where the eye of the
hurricane is supposed to hit tomorrow night.
Speaker 1 (23:19):
None.
Speaker 3 (23:20):
Right, That's what I'm saying. The number one thing here
is that one.
Speaker 4 (23:24):
I can't get a hold of her because I feel
like I'm the parent and she's a child, and she
won't answer her phone. And two she refuses to leave.
Speaker 3 (23:31):
I don't know what to do. We're in an argument
here this morning.
Speaker 9 (23:35):
Well, my son went down to Carolina for a wedding
last weekend, and all the towers and everything was down,
and I was in the same boat. He did let
me know that he was safe and everybody was safe,
but just not being able to get in touch with them.
Speaker 3 (23:53):
We'll drive you not and it's driving me insane.
Speaker 8 (23:58):
Yeah, so it will, it will.
Speaker 9 (24:01):
But I mean he's home safe. Uh what the what
the hurricane going down there? You know, like, like you said,
it's a five right now?
Speaker 3 (24:11):
Correct, Yeah, it is, it's a well, it's teetering between
a four and a five. I'll keep you guys updated.
Speaker 4 (24:17):
I'm also you know, if you've got any family or
friends that are in that area, I'm thinking of you too.
Let's just hope that that bathroom holds strong in Tampa.
Speaker 3 (24:28):
I'm a lationship.
Speaker 2 (24:29):
You're waking up with tip in the morning on kiss.
Speaker 3 (24:31):
On things that come. Hi, good morning. We're gonna take
a break from Hurricane Milton and such.
Speaker 4 (24:38):
I will keep you updated on whether or not I
hear from my mother who lives in Tampa and refuses
to leave, and she's gonna hide in her bathroom. Hope
the tub is strong, my god. I'll keep you posted. Also,
I want thinking of you too if you have family
in that in that area. We're gonna talk about the
least expensive wedding destinations in the US. And there's a
(25:00):
reason behind. There's a method to the madness as to
why I'm bringing this up, and it has to do
with Taylor Swift and Travis Kelser coming in at number five.
If you're looking to plan a wedding but you don't
want to go destination as in the tropics, I have
a tropical wedding at the end of the month. I
spent probably about three grand on that. We'll talk about
that maybe later on next week. Number five. If you
(25:22):
want to stay state side Portland, Oregon, which beautiful scenery,
I could see that being a good wedding destination.
Speaker 1 (25:30):
US.
Speaker 4 (25:30):
When you hear destination wedding, you typically don't hear of
it being in the United States. It's mostly tropical or European.
Coming in at number four, Jacksonville, Florida. I'm gonna be honest,
I don't think I don't know wellness update in Florida
after Milton, but I just don't know if I want
to get married in Jacksonville, I could see why you
would leave that one behind so far. Portland though, Okay, Charleston,
(25:51):
South Carolina. That is, Hilton Head and Charleston are big, big,
big vacation destinations for Cincinnatians. I could see that being
a decent wedding spot, although I've never been. You'll have
to let me know if you love it or not.
Coming in at number two, and this is how it
relates back to Travis and Taylor. Kansas City, Missouri is
one of the second least expensive wedding destination in the
(26:14):
United States. She was at the game last night. She
was at the game last night. I mean, she just
made this one list that puts her at pretty much
the richest woman in the world. We'll spend more time
on that and three things coming up in a few minutes,
but you know, you could really get more bang for
your block, Taylor and all of us.
Speaker 3 (26:35):
You could live a life like Taylor if you.
Speaker 4 (26:36):
Did your wedding in Kansas City and then coming in
at number one for the least expensive wedding destination in
the United States of America is Salt Lake City, Utah.
I could see that being a good winter ski destination,
but not sure about them summer.
Speaker 3 (26:50):
You don't have to let me know if you've gone.
Speaker 4 (26:51):
I also hear that their alcohol laws are different in
Salt Lake, which I'm tell you this may tell you this.
Speaker 3 (26:58):
I did go to a wedding. One's time.
Speaker 4 (27:00):
That was open bar, which we love. The only alcohol
that they served in the building was wine and beer.
I walked to the closest liquor store.
Speaker 3 (27:10):
I'm not kidding.
Speaker 4 (27:11):
I walked to the closest liquor store to get some
nips of vodka.
Speaker 3 (27:15):
I'm not Are we good? We're good?
Speaker 1 (27:17):
All right?
Speaker 3 (27:18):
Coming up?
Speaker 4 (27:18):
Two songs for now, three things. We'll dive into the
list that Taylor Swift has made it onto and.
Speaker 3 (27:23):
It has a lot of money.
Speaker 1 (27:26):
When you need to know she's got you, it's three
things with tip.
Speaker 2 (27:32):
Hey, how are we doing.
Speaker 3 (27:35):
We're just before nine o'clock. At nine oh five, you
have a chance to score that thou dollars.
Speaker 4 (27:39):
That one thou dollar plus a free trip to our
iHeart Radio jingle Ball in New York.
Speaker 3 (27:45):
It's starring Katy Perry. So don't go farm.
Speaker 4 (27:47):
Let's start off with Taylor. Yes, I'll play the audio
from Jason Kelsey here in a second.
Speaker 3 (27:53):
But as of.
Speaker 4 (27:54):
Yesterday, Taylor Swift is the world's richest female musician, worth
a wop in one point six billion dollars. She's now
the second richest musician overall behind Do you have a
(28:15):
guess jay Z at two point five billion, her fortune
coming from over six hundred million dollars in music royalties,
six hundred mil for her music catalog, tack on another
one hundred and twenty five million.
Speaker 3 (28:33):
In real estate holdings. Wouldn't have known that? Do you
know who? She beat out?
Speaker 4 (28:38):
Taylor clocked at one point six, and then for a
long time Rihanna held that spot at one point four
because of obviously her music catalog Savage fenty and feny beauty,
my money.
Speaker 1 (28:51):
Who shiit? Now me round.
Speaker 3 (28:55):
My money?
Speaker 4 (28:56):
Hey down't call me pay me what you pay me
with you Omi, So congratulations to her.
Speaker 3 (29:03):
I love that.
Speaker 4 (29:06):
In tandem with that conversation, she did show up to
Travis's game last night and all plaid, not wear anything.
Cheeps related very sparkly on the face and Jason Kelsey
here talking about Travis and his stats as of lay
and then they panned to a clip of Taylor.
Speaker 11 (29:21):
I know that the optics have certainly appeared that way. Hey,
look at that. Now she's got the part all right there,
that looks good. My traad is always gonna fy the
way to show up and show out.
Speaker 4 (29:36):
All right, She's hit in the US again, she's got
that Miami day the week after next, and then she'll
be in Indianapolis first weekend in November. Second, in three
things you need to know this morning, speaking of relationships,
but going in the opposite direction here, you know what
the rumor is this morning that Kanye West and Bianca sen.
Speaker 3 (29:54):
Sorry are in the midst of a divorce after.
Speaker 4 (29:57):
Being married since twenty twenty one, I believe a couple
of years. They haven't been publicly spotted together since September twentieth.
Speaker 3 (30:07):
Rumor is that he's really spending a lot of time
in Japan right now.
Speaker 4 (30:11):
And then, lastly, in three things you need to know
this morning, get this, Mega Millions is raising their prices.
Speaker 3 (30:19):
In April from a couple of bucks to five.
Speaker 4 (30:21):
It's going from the current price of two dollars to
five dollars starting in April. The last time they did
the increase was in twenty seventeen, when the ticket went
from a dollar to two.
Speaker 3 (30:32):
Two to five sounds like a jump. Five bucks is
a commitment.
Speaker 4 (30:36):
Two bucks that's loose change in your car, or a
load of laundry.
Speaker 3 (30:40):
Five seams, supspread stuff.
Speaker 4 (30:43):
They do say, though, the prize, of course, if you.
It increases the odds of you winning, I guess, but
more so in the amount that you do win.
Speaker 5 (30:53):
Huh.
Speaker 4 (30:54):
I think there are two types of people. There are
people who buy lottery tickets and then there are people
that don't. And it's nowhere you're not really in the
middle on that one. That is three things for the
eighth of October. Coming up next Tuesday Tips in the
Tri State with Abby from Everything Since see the biggest
things that you can do in Cincy this week for free.
Speaker 1 (31:13):
It's time for.
Speaker 2 (31:14):
Tuesday Tips on Tip in the Morning.
Speaker 4 (31:16):
Hi, good morning everything since he is exactly what the
name is. Everything you need to know about Sincy on
my show every week at this time, and we usually
pick three big things that you can check out. Whether
you're solo, single, or you just need to expand your
friend group, all of these fit into this category or
at least at one point or another.
Speaker 3 (31:35):
Good morning, Abby, good morning.
Speaker 5 (31:38):
Good morning. Yeah, so much fun stuff. I feel like.
So weather has been very hot, but hopefully it's starting
to change over to fall soon because I'm a big
fall girly.
Speaker 3 (31:48):
What's your favorite season? Summer?
Speaker 2 (31:52):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (31:52):
Okay, but there's so many good there's a lot of
fun fall activities that are happening now that you can
still enjoy. Just you need extra deodorant for them.
Speaker 3 (32:02):
That's all.
Speaker 5 (32:05):
So or lotion if you're Tiffany and like to lotion
in the middle of the summer.
Speaker 3 (32:11):
Leave the body butter out of this.
Speaker 5 (32:15):
But yeah, Taco Weeks started yesterday, and you know, I
love the food themed weeks. But this is two dollars
and fifty cent tacos and there's like twenty different restaurants
that are participating in this.
Speaker 3 (32:27):
Are they street tacos?
Speaker 5 (32:29):
All kinds of different tacos, so you have to get
a minimum of three, but I mean who doesn't order
at least free tacos anyway. Yeah, there's all kinds of places,
so I think they all have different pacos on their
menu that you can order, like I think they do
a specialty paco and that's the one next two thousand
and fifty, but.
Speaker 2 (32:48):
Discos to the thirteenth.
Speaker 5 (32:49):
So you've got plenty of times to go and enjoying
that and the weather's days that a lot of them
have patios. You can get outside and go your tacos
and dip on a on a bethroat.
Speaker 4 (32:59):
I can see Taco Week being an okay place for
a first date, and it doesn't matter what time of
day you go, whether it's for like a lunch special
and eating special. Because can you take someone on a
first date to a discounted night or is that lame?
Speaker 3 (33:14):
What do you think about that?
Speaker 9 (33:15):
No?
Speaker 5 (33:16):
No, I think it's fine because then you're also not
like I feel like it makes it a little bit less.
Speaker 2 (33:22):
Uh, it's not like I think.
Speaker 3 (33:24):
It's not like using a gift card on a first date.
Speaker 4 (33:27):
It's more like, hey, this is a theme that's happening,
and we're going to participate in the theme together.
Speaker 3 (33:31):
We just are going to do it on a budget
friendly timeline, which I like, I guess.
Speaker 5 (33:36):
Like go look at the menu and like the restaurants
and see which one you want to go check out?
Like you know what I mean. I think it's fun.
Speaker 4 (33:42):
Okay, Hey, yeah, if you've got someone in your life
that wants to go out on a date, or even
a friend that's always like, what should we do tonight?
Speaker 3 (33:47):
Just just go to Taco Week. We'll take care of you.
Speaker 7 (33:49):
Just do that.
Speaker 3 (33:50):
You know that it's my piece.
Speaker 5 (33:53):
And then city is also this weekend, and I think
this is always a good place to go by yourself,
but also meet people, friends or somebody you know that
you could be interested in. But this is always such
a well attended event and there's a lot of people
that are just hanging out, catching the vibe, you know,
just there for the atmosphere and not necessarily even all
(34:15):
the shopping, even though I do love this time of
year because again, things are like transferring over from summer
to fall, and so I think there's a lot of
good fines the time of year at City Fleet.
Speaker 3 (34:25):
What day is it falling? Saturday or Sunday?
Speaker 5 (34:29):
Yeah, the twelve, so Saturday, and it's from ten to
four at Washington Park.
Speaker 3 (34:34):
Okay, okay, thank you Abby.
Speaker 4 (34:35):
Everything Cincy is the best place to find her on
social and on our website Appreciate your Girl. She checks
in with the show every week to give you the
heads up coming up next the Daily Debrief around nine
to forty. If you want to lock in on iHeartRadio.

best friend? I'll explain why we're talking about that next
