Speaker 1 (00:01):
When you need to know she's got you. It's three
things with tip on.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Well, good morning, excuse me. We're just before seven o'clock
on the first Monday of December twenty twenty four. Don't
blink because if you do, you might miss it. It'll
be twenty five before you know it. Speaking of twenty five,
that's kind of like the temperatures that we've got right now,
and it'll be this way, I think for the foreseeable future.
Once that cold there moved in for the Bengals game yesterday.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
Who was a little spicy out there.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Speaking of the Bengals, we'll get to them in a
hot second, but first let's start off with the bridge.
So when I left you before the holiday, i'd said
we were supposed to get a timeline update, et cetera.
I don't know why I took that timeline update so hard.
When they announced that the bridge wouldn't be opening until
March of twenty twenty five, it was like, no, Granted,

(00:52):
we've dealt with bridge closers before, with the Brent Spence,
I believe that one was close for nearly eight months.
I don't know why this just feels different. Maybe because
four seventy one is closer to my house. You might
be listening to me right now. Like TIF Brent Spence
was equally as bad if you lived over on that
side of the city.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
But tough. The construction timeline.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Is adhering the schedule that he started the demolition like
they had mentioned on Friday, and then you know, that'll
take us to January, and then the reconstruction of the
bridge will take us until March. I don't know if
there'll be any updates from this day moving forward. Of course,
if there is anything new, you know, I'll have that
for you. But yikes, we're looking at a March reopening,

(01:34):
and the day it does, it'll be.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
A dance, all right.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
Second and three things you need to know this morning.
I wish I had better news for you. You know, Bengals fans,
you're waking up sad today. I think that there was
some hope that we were going to be able to
pull through and just win every single game of the
season and make it to the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
But we're saying goodbye to our playoff chances.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
And I did like this message from coach ct yesterday
after the loss against the Steelers.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
I stick together, take accountability. We got good people in
the locker room, and you know, it's an emotional game,
you know, especially in a visual game like this, especially
with where we're at in the season. You know, I
think it's normal for emotions to run high. But at
the same time, just got to take accountability for anything
we can and stick together and find a way to
go find a win. You know, we just got to

(02:20):
get ourselves some momentum. That's three games in a row
now that have all been one possession games. We have
done enough to earn the win. It's as simple as that.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
I just I mean, he goes on there a little
bit longer, but I'm with you as far as just
being confused, maybe a little disappointed.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
Of course, we took the l forty four to thirty eight. Lastly,
I do have a little bit of history for you.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
Only six quarterbacks have averaged two hundred and seventy five
passing yards and had thirty touchdowns and five or few
interceptions through the first twelve games of the season. Joe
Burrow is the only one of them to have a
losing record four out of those five. When the NFL
MVP that season, it is wild to think of how well,

(03:05):
we're doing and so poorly. Right, We're doing so well
and so bad at the same time. It's very odd.
Our next game, by the way, is against the Cowboys
Monday night, December ninth, eight fifteen.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Kick on that one, all right.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
And then lastly, in three things you need to know
this morning, let's talk new music.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
This is good news. This is good news.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
Right before the holiday break, Khalid and Normani announced that
they'll have a song coming out.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
Now. I've got a clip of it here.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
This comes out on Friday, and I'll play it and
then we'll talk about it. We can keep it between
you and okay.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
Very smooth. You know.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
The reason why I think this is such a big
deal is because Khalid to Normani already have a massive
hit out.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
You remember Love Lies. Here's a quick clips underneath the cuner.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
So good. By the way, that song is off the
soundtrack to the movie What's It Called Love?

Speaker 1 (04:21):
Simon, released in twenty eighteen.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
By the way, you know who wrote some of that soundtrack,
Jack Antonoff. The man's a genius writes for Taylor Swift
all the time. Love Lies reached number nine on the
Billboard Hot one hundred. It also peaked in six different
countries at number ten. In twenty nineteen, Billboard named it
the seventh biggest song of the twenty tens and was

(04:47):
revealed to be the fifth most thumbs up song on
Pandora of all time.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
I thought that was an interesting stat for us this morning.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
All right, that is three things you need to know
for the second of December. Coming up around seven o five,
we're commercial free and we'll get into chitchat roulette.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
All the big.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
Things, all the things you saw on social media over
the last four or five days or so. There's gonna
be a lot to fit into this wheel, including a
massive engagement announcement.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
Oh my god, did you see these videos and photos?

Speaker 2 (05:16):
If not, we'll get to that around seven twenty. Best
way to keep listening to TIF in the morning is
on iHeartRadio.
