Speaker 1 (00:00):
When you need to know she's got you.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
It's three things with tip on good morning.
Speaker 1 (00:08):
We're just before nine o'clock.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
At nine oh five, I'm sending you to Miami, and
right about now is the time you're gonna want to
go to Miami. With temperatures being so cold only in
the twenties today, wind chill feeling more like zero. I
am seeing some warmer temperatures though later on on my iPhone,
which you can never trust that thing, but there you go.
(00:31):
Schools are closed for CPS. I'm sure by now you
know that. Okay, let's start off with Let's start off
with SNL. How much money do you think an SNL
cast member would make?
Speaker 1 (00:46):
Because this number blew my mind. My biggest indulgence after
my first Snlkheck, do you guys know what they pay us?
It's like three grand an episode. I think I got dinner.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
We bought the most uncomfortable West couch they went. The
clip is quite long, so I don't want to take
up too much of your time, but so many SNL
cast members like past and present, talked about what they
bought with their first paychecks, and it's like nothing like dinner.
Pete Davidson was the first one there saying dinner. I
think someone else had mentioned a couch New York rent.
(01:19):
I would assume that in the beginning that job is
really tough. It looks so glamorous, but you really never
know what's going to make it onto TV, and then eventually,
when you start building more notoriety, that's when you start
making more money, right, Like, I don't think Keenan Thompson
is making three grand an episode. By now, he's probably
making quite a bit, but in the beginning, it's rough.
(01:39):
I think a lot of people think that about my
industry as well, like, oh, it's so glamorous, you must
make a lot of money, and for a long time
you're making like nothing and just kind of hoping for
the best and showing up giving it your all and it,
you know, could be making.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
Nothing like that Voice of God stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
Someone on Instagram asked me, because you guys know, I'm
the Voice of God for our iHeartRadio ten events, some
of them like I'm going to jingle Ball next week.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
You guys know I travel for that. They're like, how
much do you get paid for that?
Speaker 2 (02:05):
It's like paid, I do it for free, all right,
So I can relate to that one. I'm sure in
your own industry you've gone above and beyond for certain
things just to really grow in your career and get
it done.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
That's what I've done my whole career. All right.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
Second, in three things you need to know this morning,
you've already heard about the United Healthcare CEO that passed
away and it was murdered. Really, I had talked about
that in our six o'clock hour.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
Okay, that was.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
The same day as the New York City Christmas tree
lighting at Rockefeller Center. Oh, you can go back and
catch up on the podcast at some point today if
you want to get filled in on that portion.
Speaker 1 (02:43):
But let's talk about the Christmas tree lighting. Flavor.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
Flav is trending because that man has been all over
social media everywhere, at every show, every concert he's come
to our own iHeartRadio concerts. He did a lot for
NBC during the Olympics, if you'll remember, and when he
went backstage at the Christmas tree lighting in New York,
he was asked to leave, and he's like so sad
(03:06):
about it. He was in the midst of getting some
content with the Backstreet Boys and they were like, hey,
you gotta go. He went on Twitter and posted a
few things, some of them I think have since been deleted.
I'm wondering if that is a big misunderstanding or not
all right, Like, you don't really like to tell him
tell him to leave, do you?
Speaker 1 (03:26):
I don't. I don't know if I would.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
And then, lastly, in three Things you Need to Know,
I figured you would like this because we do talk about.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake on my show quite a bit.
I love their friendship.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
Jimmy Fallon did his Christmas holiday spectacular last night, and
him and Justin performed together, and here's a quick clip
of it for you.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
Having a snow stunts fall tell me that because.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
Tell me.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
Only sell me awful Christmas. Tell me it will be
so good?
Speaker 2 (04:15):
Right? I Actually, let's talk about holiday songs coming up
around maybe nine twenty will do that. You know which
song makes the most amount of money in sales during
the holidays. You think you might have the answer to
that one, but I was surprised by this. Best way
to keep listening to TIF in the morning's on iHeart
Radio when you search kiss one oh seven one. On
(04:36):
top of that, I do have your chance to win
a free trip to Miami coming up around like nine
oh five ish when you search us on iHeart that Way.
Don't miss it.
