Speaker 1 (00:01):
If you're waking up, good morning, good morning. I think
it's a Wednesday. How are you? I'm back in the studio.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
I think Cincinnati is trying to get back to the
regular scheduled life.
Speaker 1 (00:12):
First day of school for a lot.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
If you're catching me to and from welcome back to reality.
I think there's a level of excitement to kind of
get back into it, which leads me to.
Speaker 1 (00:23):
What I forgot this morning.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
So, like you, I also like to reevaluate what my
fitness and nutrition is like after the month of December.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
Don't get it twisted.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
We might soft launch into the year, but still got
to get my act together on that one. So we
have an office gym in the lobby of our building,
and it's great. It does exactly what you need it
to do, right. I also think there might be a
peloton in there. I have used it from time to time.
I've probably showered in the gym more than I have
like actually used the equipment in the gym.
Speaker 1 (00:55):
And last night I said, you know.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
What, why don't I get Why don't I get to it.
Let's get to it and all let's get let's let's
do it. Come to find out, once I've packed my bag.
Turn the car on early right to warm it up
because it's cold outside with more snow. Grab all my clothes,
grab my sneakers. When I pull up to the office
to come up to the studio, I look down at
(01:17):
the sneakers and I grabbed two left shoes. If that
isn't a message from the universe, I don't know what
is also another message? The fact that we're getting snow
Friday afternoon into Saturday. What's the legitimate legitimacy of this?
I'll have that plus a few others big things, uh,
(01:37):
and three things you need to know coming up around
six fifty ish this morning, A happy Wednesday, good morning.
Speaker 1 (01:46):
When you need to know She's got you. It's three
things with tip on.
Speaker 3 (01:53):
It is enough to coat the roads again and bring
us those slick spots and just the.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
Continuation of flurries. But the cloud, if anything did help us.
Good morning.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
That was the voice of Jennifer Ketchmark from WCPO. What
I did not have snow flurries on my bingo card
when I woke up this morning. The hardest decision I
had to make was to get out of my house
early enough in whatever pajamas I was wearing and turn
my car on and warm.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
It up ahead of time and clean it off.
Speaker 2 (02:22):
Whoo that was a harsh reality at four o'clock this morning.
Speaker 4 (02:26):
Whoo.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
Way, yeah, I did not have flurry, so you know,
I felt I still am feeling the side effects of
this snowstorm on the feeder roads, especially in my neighborhood downtown.
With a few more flurries on top, it's definitely gonna
make things like that just perfect amount of slick. She
wasn't wrong, though, of course she's not, she's the weather person.
(02:46):
But about the cloud cover, I felt as if it
was warm enough yesterday where things felt very slushy. That
is all gonna change now as the clouds start to
move out. We'll see some bitter temperatures set in with
the potential of more snow moving in on Friday, anywhere
from one to four inches depending on where you are.
And it's Wednesday, which is something I also forgot.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
So we're halfway through the week.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
That gives us a day or so to get cleaned
up something that I've noticed. And I don't want to
spend a lot of time on this now because I
think we'll get to it in our seven o'clock hour
is there are still several spots that need to be shoveled,
not even plowed by the city, but shoveled by us,
by us patrons.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
We'll get to that next.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
I'll table it for now, but yes, be aware that
we could see some snow moving in in the middle
of the.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
Day on Friday.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
All right, and then said, we're I mean continuing this
trend of weather, wild weather across the country, but specifically
coming out of California this morning. So a girlfriend of
mine from college, my bestie, Hannah, lives in LA. Before
we went to bed last night, she was sending our
group text just up close videos of what it's like
(03:56):
to have a fire in California, and it's nuts. With
the Santa Anna win, we're looking at anywhere from eighty
to one hundred miles an hour, which is just totally
ripping apart this area. So, if you didn't know, Pacific
Palisades borders Malibu. Malibu struggled from fires a couple of
years ago. You remember Miley cyrus is home burnt down,
(04:16):
et cetera. Pacific Palisades is also where a lot of
celebrities live. I've walked through that neighborhood. In fact, Hannah
sent me pictures of us in there in twenty twenty one,
maybe e I think it was twenty twenty one, could
have been twenty twenty.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
Two, but it was.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
It just it's unbelievable how apocalyptic these things look.
Speaker 3 (04:37):
I've been here, living in California for forty five years,
and I never the first time I feeling like this when.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
So, what's happening? You know, you'll see these trending on
social media today. People were trying to leave and they couldn't.
They had to abandon their cars, and I wish I'm
gonna put you know what I think. I'm just gonna
post these videos on my page. I hope she doesn't mind,
but I'm gonna post them up so that you have
a visual of what it's like for you know, like
my best friends standing on her apartment balcony and what
(05:09):
she can see in the distance Pacific Palisades about twenty
minutes from LA and she lives in Santa Monica. Definitely
thinking of our friends in California this morning. That's gonna
be a huge story, all right.
Speaker 1 (05:18):
And then lastly, and.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
Three things you need to know, Nicki Glazier was renewed
for not just a second, but a third year of
hosting the Golden Globes after her quote performance from Sunday Night.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
Got It and Welcome to the eighty second Golden Globes,
Oh Zempic's biggest night. I'm happy for NICKI.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
You know, she got four hundred thousand for that night,
and to me, that feels like monopoly money.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
But it doesn't feel like it's that much money.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
Right, that was a trending topic that she got paid
way less than you know, other celebrities that they've hosted.
I think moving forward, according to this article, that the
amount will increase, which is good.
Speaker 1 (05:58):
I think it was well deserved, right, thought.
Speaker 2 (05:59):
She did a great job of balancing current day comedy
and humor and weaving it into the celebrities and it
just was engaging. Nikki Glazer had her moment last year,
and I'm happy for her. You know, she did really
well with that Tom Brady roast. All right, that is
three things you need to know for the eighth of January.
Couple of things on the way seven oh five ish.
We roll commercial free. So if you're like, I don't
(06:22):
really know, I don't really know what I need this morning,
but Tiff, you can help me figure it out.
Speaker 1 (06:26):
I will take care of you. At seven oh five.
Speaker 2 (06:28):
Moving on from that, around seven to ten ish, we're
gonna chit chat about, you know, the one thing I
noticed about the snow, which you might be willing to
move on from this topic at the moment, but hear
me out on this. Actually you can get a jump
on the visuals because I tested something.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
No one in Cincinnati I.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
Don't think is doing what I did in my neighborhood
yesterday at the Tiff two F's Potter like the Wizard.
And then while I'm at it, let's just throw in
what we're gonna do around seven forty you remember Twitch
from the Ellen DeGeneres show. Wild stories coming out about
that one too. I'll that more all on the way, Babe.
Search Kiss one oh seven one on the iHeartRadio app
(07:04):
to be involved.
Speaker 1 (07:06):
Good Hi, good morning, Good morning. You're waking up with
Tip in the morning on Kiss one oh seven one.
Speaker 2 (07:10):
Commercial free for the rest of the hour and officially
back in studio. I think very similar to you, sort
of getting back into the swing of things. Yesterday and
the day before felt very covid, like you know where
you just felt like trapped but ready to move on.
You know, I said it was my fault on Friday
(07:31):
when we were doing the show before the you know,
last weekend of that holiday break, I said, we're going
to soft launch into twenty twenty five. You know, we'll
just take it easy and take it smooth. And the
universe definitely delivered on that. But I felt like I
was going nuts yesterday.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
I needed to get out of there. We're back.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
So if it's your first day back to the classroom
after what feels like almost three weeks off, welcome you
found the right place. I'm in the midst of checking
some of your talkbacks. If you've never left me one.
It's a great way to say hi and good morning.
You'll see the micro phone next to the play button
when you search kiss on the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 3 (08:04):
Hey, good morning.
Speaker 1 (08:05):
Tip from the cold beer Guy.
Speaker 3 (08:06):
Glad to be off the last two days, but back
at it tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (08:10):
Definitely had you turned on and cranked up while delivering beer. Well,
thank you.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
Speaking of alcohol and such, how's dry January going for you.
I've reached the point in the vacation quote period where
over that snow day I didn't even really want to drink.
I didn't even want to eat, I didn't want to
watch TV.
Speaker 1 (08:26):
It was like, I know, I want this to be over.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
Speaking of the snow and such, I did something in
my neighborhood that I don't think anyone in Cincinnati knows
about or has never done here. If you're a visual
person at the TIF to F's Potter like the Wizard,
it is the first thing in my stories this morning
because you can get a jump on it. We're going
to talk about that two songs from now. And it
(08:52):
saved me at least in all of my years of snow.
This one thing has saved me, and I'm trying to
bring it to Cincy. We'll talk about that next Good Morning.
Speaker 1 (09:10):
You're waking up with.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
Good morning and morning and all of the years that
I've experienced snow, this one thing saved me and has
been saving me. You can get a jump on the
visuals at the TIF two F's Potter like the Wizard.
It is the very first thing that you will see
in my stories, and that is called a space saver.
I'm this isn't the first time I've introduced Sincy to
(09:35):
this concept, but probably to the first time to this
level because we haven't experienced snow like we did over
the weekend since the early two thousands. From what I'm hearing,
the space saver culture is, it is ruthless. It it
(09:57):
It was definitely an experience for sure. So if you
didn't know this, I'm originally a New Englander and I
grew up mostly like the second half of my you know,
my adult life. I was in Boston and went to
school in Boston. I lived in Boston for several years
after that before I moved to Cincinnati. Everything about the
city of Boston is street parking, Like no one has
(10:21):
a driveway unless you go out towards the suburbs.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
And the rule.
Speaker 2 (10:26):
And it's at this point, I don't even know if
it's like like a legitimate it's like.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
An unwritten rule, but it's a rule.
Speaker 2 (10:32):
You know. At one point Boston had to like come
out on the news and say, you guys got to
chill with this stuff. But the rule in Boston is
if you shovel out your street spot, then you go
ahead and you put a space saver in there, And
you can do that technically, I think for the first
twenty four to forty eight hours now here of a snowstorm.
(10:54):
Now here's the unwritten rule of that you keep that
space saver in there for as long as you want.
Speaker 1 (11:01):
And the funniest things.
Speaker 2 (11:03):
I would walk the streets of you know, Southe and
Brighton where I lived, East Boston where I lived, and
you would see various things in people's spaces and you
would know that that's a space saver. Like I'm talking
a baby height chair, a dunkin dough, a simple dunkin Donuts.
Speaker 1 (11:20):
To ice coffee cup.
Speaker 2 (11:21):
If you saw a dunkin Donuts iced coffee cup standing
straight up and a shoveled street spot that was not trash,
that was, in fact someone's space saver, and everyone knew.
Everyone knew that you had a spot and it let
me tell you, if you went in and took someone
else's street spot and there was a space saver there,
(11:42):
there's a very good chance that your tires would get slashed.
Speaker 1 (11:44):
I'm not kidding.
Speaker 2 (11:46):
And there would also be violent notes written and put
onto your windshield.
Speaker 1 (11:51):
So that's what I'm used to.
Speaker 2 (11:53):
I go out of my house on Sunday night to
try to start the clean up process, which, by the way,
no one in my neighborhood had a shovel again posted
on my stories at the tiff to F's Potter like
the Wizard. I live across the street from a row
of mansions, and no one was.
Speaker 1 (12:12):
Using a shovel. It's like, how do you how do
you possibly own I'm not a I'm an adult.
Speaker 2 (12:18):
I'm not going to freak out about this, and I
don't want to come off as like miss New England
expert in the snow, but it's just so ingrained into
my brain. So when I was out there, properly dressed
with snow boots, a hat, a jacket, is shoveling the
entire property, shoveling out my car, and I'm looking around
and my neighbor's using a dust pan.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
I was like, where are we? Where are we? What's
going on? And I know and.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
Two this is like two things about this are very
contradicting to me. My neighbor had said to me, like, Tiffany,
I know what snow is. We grew up with snow,
like we have snow here. And I said, okay, well
then you're prepared versus the acts that they put forward.
I was like, what are you talking about? You don't
have any experience with the snow I he came out
(13:08):
in Nike ankle is sneakers and ankle socks.
Speaker 1 (13:12):
I was like, you have no experience, what are you
talking about?
Speaker 2 (13:14):
So if you are, like I said, a visual person,
check it out at the TIF to f s Potter
like the Wizard, because this this is am I crazy
for this behavior in my neighborhood. I'm the only one
that shoveled out and has a space saver.
Speaker 1 (13:31):
You're waking up with kiss in the morning, kiss Hey,
good morning.
Speaker 2 (13:35):
When a pop story is big enough, instead of talking
about it in three things you need to know, which
happens at seven fifty, six fifty, seven fifty and eight
fifty every day, we'll chit chat about it here because
I think this is going to become the biggest story
in the next like a day or so. Do you
remember Twitch from Ellen de Generes and his suicide in
(14:00):
December of twenty twenty two. That was a really big,
tragic what story you remember when the news broke about that?
Even if you didn't watch Ellen degenerous like after school
I did. I was a big Ellen fan after school
for years and years. Right, Twitch ended up coming into
the program somewhere midway through her career.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
I mean, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (14:21):
He was the DJ, and then he had taken on
a bigger role and a bigger host. And then during
the pandemic is when I really thought Twitch started to
shine with his family because him and his wife would
do those dancing videos on social media. Two years later,
his wife is getting ready to put out a book,
a memoir with People Magazine, and it is leaving a
(14:44):
bad taste in the public's mouth. Now, you know me,
I treat things hopefully very delicate and have an understanding
that these celebrities are real people too, regardless of their
financial status and what they do for a living. If
you were to sit across for me with an iced coffee,
you would probably have the same conversation that I'm having
with you right now. But I'm having a hard times
(15:05):
understanding this angle here on where she's going with this.
So People Magazine released this clip. I'll play it for you.
It's about a minute long, and then we'll chat. Nope,
I'm sorry, that's Nicky Glazier. That is for three things
you need to know.
Speaker 5 (15:18):
Okay, here we go with an ex that had addiction problems.
I had dealt with an ex that had addiction problems,
and then I realized Steven had addiction problems. And it's
something that I kind of I've been like, what where
was I involved in this? And I had to take
some steps for myself to realize, like, you know, I
was able to help one, and I wish I could
(15:40):
have been that for the other, but it's also not
my job to do that. There was a moment I
was with one of my really dear friends and we
were cleaning out the closet and picking out an outfit
for him for the funeral, and it was a really
triggering moment for me because there was a lot of
things I discovered in our closet that I did not
know existed.
Speaker 1 (15:59):
And it was.
Speaker 5 (16:02):
Very alarming to me to learn that there was so
much happening that I had no clue, so that it
was a really scary moment in my life to figure
that out. But it also helped me process that he
was going through so much, and he was hiding so much,
and there must have been a lot of shame in that,
and he was wrestling with a lot inside himself, and
(16:22):
he was trying to self medicate and cope with all
those feelings because he didn't want to put it on
anyone because he loved everyone so much. He didn't want
other people that take on his pain.
Speaker 2 (16:31):
Okay, So if you just happened to come in in
the middle of that clip or in the midst of
talking about Alison Hochler, who was married to Twitch from
the Ellen DeGeneres Show two years after his passing, maybe
a little bit more. She's getting ready to team up
with People magazine to release some information and a memoir.
Speaker 1 (16:48):
Now, the bizarre part of this is in.
Speaker 2 (16:51):
The journal, let me just I'm going to just say
the facts and then you can create your opinion on them.
In this book, there's supposedly journal entry from Twitch. She
supposedly is supposed to give us more insight to him
and the things that she learned about him after his death,
(17:12):
So things that she might have found in that closet,
et cetera.
Speaker 1 (17:16):
How are you feeling about that?
Speaker 2 (17:18):
Trying to see it like, maybe she needs the money,
although I doubt it, but maybe maybe she needs the
finances and she needs the help.
Speaker 1 (17:28):
Death money, finances.
Speaker 2 (17:29):
They're all very odd and I get I'm getting the
sense of this on the other side, as I helped
to plan my father's estate. You know, he's alive and well,
but when you involve money and family.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
Things get weird.
Speaker 2 (17:41):
So another thing that I found out, and by the way,
I believe her manager or his manager has been just
coming for her on social media.
Speaker 1 (17:48):
You could read through some of these screenshots.
Speaker 2 (17:50):
We're learning that anyone that went to Twitch's funeral had
to sign an NDA, including his own mother. Now I
don't know if that's because maybe she wanted to keep
his private life private right and she didn't want any
of that information coming out. Maybe she wanted to save
it for the book. But why I can't and you
(18:11):
trust your gut on this one. I remember kind of
looking back at some of the footage and being like, wow,
Like what she's putting fourth on social in the last
two years might not be the same I would put
fourth on social if someone that I love deeply just
committed suicide.
Speaker 1 (18:28):
That's me, though I'm a little bit different.
Speaker 2 (18:30):
You know, everyone's grieving process is their own, grief is
not linear, etc. I'm trying to treat this delicately, but
there's something about it that's not sitting well with me.
I'll be curious to learn more You can find some
of that footage online if you want me to repost it.
I will like kiss one oh seven, so you don't
have to go hunting far for it.
Speaker 1 (18:49):
But just know that that's.
Speaker 2 (18:50):
Going to be one of the biggest stories I think
of the week. When there's more, I'll have that for him.
Speaker 1 (18:55):
All right.
Speaker 2 (18:56):
Speaking of stories, the biggest one here in Cinci is
the weather. Oh boy, the universe said you just cleaned out.
M mmm, walk in babe, Friday afternoon. We could get
some more snow. I'll have totals et cetera coming up
in a few minutes with the three things you need
to know to get your day started in Sincy good morning.
Speaker 1 (19:13):
When you need to know She's got you, it's three
things with tip.
Speaker 2 (19:19):
Well did morning, Good morning. We're just before eight o'clock
on Wednesday. I'm going to need a reminder myself that
it is Wednesday and not, in fact Monday, the seven
hundred day of Christmas vacation. Getting back into the swing
of things, I'll touch based on what snow is coming
here on Friday in a hot second. But look, let's
first start off with the new potential new arena down
(19:44):
at the banks.
Speaker 4 (19:45):
Nearly two months after the Sincinni Regional Chambers study found
a new arena was needed for major concerts, sporting events,
and conventions. One side presents their arguments to build the
new arena where Herojench's Bank Center is now the Bank's
business community. We'll hold a Wednesday morning press conference to
urge leaders to reconsider their two preferred locations West Downtown
(20:06):
close to the Duke Energy Convention Center or the Town
Center garage site southa TIQL stadium.
Speaker 2 (20:12):
That's my guy, that's my guy, Lee Mallowen from seven
hundred Wow. I'm gonna play him whenever I can on
my show. So essentially, you know, the city was like, hey,
we should move the Heritage Bank Arena to the West
End or somewhere else. And the bank's community is like,
and there's going to be not a hearing, but a
meeting at the Grail today this morning, actually in about
(20:34):
an hour or a couple ye know. I think at
the eight o'clock hour eight thirty, we're already cruising through
the show this morning.
Speaker 1 (20:39):
So when there's more on that one, I'll have it
for you.
Speaker 2 (20:41):
I do think that it would be odd, it'd be
bizarre to see Heritage not at the banks. I feel
like it's just then there's been a part of the banks,
but they are building up the west end quite a bit,
so we'll see all right. Second, and three things you
need to.
Speaker 1 (20:56):
Know this morning. The weather. Ah, the weather, so.
Speaker 2 (21:00):
Not on my Bingo car this morning to wake up
with some flurries. I wonder if it's the same for
you as well. That's making things a little slippery and icy.
Chuck is going to check the ride here in a
few minutes, but be very aware of that. I'm surprised,
honestly about the clean up here in Sincy.
Speaker 1 (21:14):
I get it.
Speaker 2 (21:14):
It was huge and everyone is really doing their best,
but there are still some spots, like the one in
my neighborhood in downtown it's right before you merge onto
the major seventy one artery.
Speaker 1 (21:24):
There is still completely a mess.
Speaker 2 (21:27):
And we're supposedly getting some snow on Friday into Saturday.
The totals are fluctuating anywhere between one and four inches,
depending on where you are. I'll say this right now,
I believe in my heart it is your responsibility to
shovel out your own car and put that snow on
the sidewalk so that we can get back to parking
regularly in the downtown neighborhoods.
Speaker 1 (21:48):
In areas, that's the way it goes.
Speaker 2 (21:50):
If you leave your car there and you park it
on the street, you're responsible to take the snow off
and put it onto the sidewalker into the woods.
Speaker 1 (21:58):
I'm the only one in my neighborhood with clean spot.
I don't get that all right.
Speaker 2 (22:02):
And then, lastly, in three Things you Need to Know
this morning, I saw this story about post Malone and
I was like, I'm not surprised. Renee Brown is a
waitress at a bar called The rail Yard in Houston,
and on Christmas Eve when post Malone was in the area,
he tipped her twenty thousand dollars.
Speaker 1 (22:20):
So sweet, right, And.
Speaker 2 (22:22):
If you're like, well, why was post Malone in Houston
on Christmas Eve? Do you guys remember? Of course he
did the Beyonce halftime show. I loved it. Ready, you
know how I'm on my book, I let you go.
Speaker 1 (22:36):
They spring some perfect time. Heaven re exees me and jeez, great,
you don't need to side. I don't play.
Speaker 4 (22:45):
Babe you Pili.
Speaker 1 (22:47):
Heaven ever read on that sex so good?
Speaker 2 (22:50):
I rewatched that halftime show one or two times, I
loved it, loved it. Netflix is set to make that
a special that you can watch, very similar to her
homecoming with.
Speaker 1 (23:01):
Why Can't I Think of It? Homecoming e Coachella. All right,
that is three things you need to know for January eighth.
Speaker 2 (23:08):
Best way to keep listening and participating with TIF in
the morning is by searching kiss one O seven one
on the iHeartRadio app coming up at eight twenty. If
you're a visual person at the TIF to F's Potter
like the Wizard, because I have a Hoarder House update
for you.
Speaker 1 (23:26):
If you have no.
Speaker 2 (23:27):
Idea what I'm talking about, stick around. You're not gonna
believe it.
Speaker 1 (23:31):
You're waking up in the morning.
Speaker 2 (23:33):
Kish Well, that was like the song good morning, Good morning.
I have a hoarder house update for you at the
TIF to F's Potter, like the Wizard, tap through the
snow stuff you'll see in my stories and that it
is right there.
Speaker 1 (23:51):
I was shocked, shocked at what.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
I saw when I went home for Christmas, or went
back to my parents' house for Christmas. Quickly, you and
I really haven't had a chance to debrief any of
December because it was just like kind of came and went,
and the New Year, and then the snowstorm and then
here we are, and I just kind of want to
put it behind us. But overall, all in all we good.
You good, I'm good. The holiday was great. I had
(24:14):
such a good time. Tiff Miss was awesome. My trip
back to Boston was great. I spent New Year's as
the DD like those are like the main voice of
God stuff for jingle Ball all went well. It's all
up on my Instagram if you would like to have
a more in depth look at it. Okay, So when
I meet people in the wild, in my friends, the
(24:36):
people in my inner circle, outter circle, whatever, the first
thing they say to me a lot of times is, oh,
my god, I was following that hoarder house stuff that
you were doing about your parents when you were home
in the summer. If you don't know very quickly, my dad,
who's probably listening right now, Hi, Steve, thank you for
having us on on the iHeartRadio.
Speaker 1 (24:55):
App in Boston.
Speaker 2 (24:57):
He has lived in his house for forever and and
ever and is a part of the boomer generation that
never threw anything away. Well, my stepmom had gone through
some medical stuff this summer and there was a chance
that she was going to need a walker, and I
just knew that the house was bad, but this that
was the catalyst event for me to fly home for
three and a half days, and my stepsister and I
(25:19):
just tore through that house and really, I mean we
were in the trenches, trenches clean We threw away bags
and bags and bags and bags and bags, and donated
bags and bags and books and all of it. My
dad's a big newspaper bills magazine's collector, like stacks and
stacks from like two thousand and eight when I graduated
high school, all right in my my thirties right now.
(25:42):
So and on top of that, it was just it
hadn't been cleaned and so long. So my sister and
I went in and we did it. And when I left,
I looked him in the eye and I said, I
will be back.
Speaker 1 (25:54):
I will be back in December, and.
Speaker 2 (25:57):
I will be checking up on you, and I'll be
checking up on this sitch situation.
Speaker 1 (26:00):
And there's still more to do.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
By the way, when you see the videos, you'll notice
that that is just My parents live in a ranch,
so the bottom there's still a basement, and then my
dad owns a garage. We still have more to do
in this process, but the first floor itself. When I
left that after Labor Day weekend, I flew home the
day of the fireworks. When I left that morning, I
(26:22):
looked him dead in the eye and I said, I
will be back to check in on this situation. So
in December, when I was home visiting, I said, all right,
let's go inside.
Speaker 1 (26:32):
He said, okay.
Speaker 2 (26:33):
I said, I'm trusting you that all the hard work
we put in is still there. And you don't know,
like you just give it to your parents and you say,
I'm at that phase where a parent like kids are
starting to parent their parents a little bit. I was
shocked when I walked in there, guys, shocked.
Speaker 1 (26:51):
It looked exactly the way I left it. Dad, I'm
proud of you. I was so happy.
Speaker 2 (26:59):
It just got so much relief to my heart because
it was just so I was like, I was nervous
because you have to let go at one point, you know,
and you just got to say, you get this is
your house, this is your life, and that is not
the case for many.
Speaker 1 (27:11):
I know I'm.
Speaker 2 (27:12):
Lucky in this one because I get a lot of
messages about this, about family members that are like they
won't let me throw anything away, and you know, we
have to wait until they pass away. Then we're left
with not only the fact that they passed, but like
just a nightmare to clean everything out, et cetera. And
I know I'm lucky, and I've got a lot of
messages from people that are not in the same position.
Speaker 1 (27:30):
So I'm thinking of you this morning.
Speaker 2 (27:32):
Like I said, if you want to see it at
the tiff to F's Potter like the Wizard, or we're
commercial free and the morning rolls on.
Speaker 1 (27:39):
By the way, it is Wednesday. I had to remind myself.
Speaker 2 (27:42):
Of that.
Speaker 1 (27:46):
When you need to know she's got you. It's three
things with tiff On kiss when I was seven. One
the cold. The story is still to come. It's not
happening right now. I mean, okay, it's so cold twenty
three degrees. But if you want to talk about the
(28:07):
ridiculous cold, it's tonight. We're down to three for a
low in the city. Oh my god.
Speaker 2 (28:14):
That was the voice of Jennifer Ketchmark from WCPO talking
about the weather that we're getting. So I guess what
feels like mild right now is gonna feel quite different
in the beginning part of tomorrow morning. And that's gonna
stick around for a good solid week, which means all
the snow that hasn't been cleared from wherever it is
(28:35):
that you live is going to become like a rock.
Speaker 1 (28:38):
Now.
Speaker 2 (28:38):
On top of that, there's some snow supposedly coming our
way as well Friday into Saturday.
Speaker 1 (28:44):
Depending on your location.
Speaker 2 (28:45):
We could see varying inches in accumulation, between one and
four inches.
Speaker 1 (28:49):
So we're not out of the.
Speaker 2 (28:51):
Woods, and we won't be for a while, all right.
Speaker 1 (28:54):
Second, and three things you need to know this morning.
Speaker 2 (28:56):
A huge story across the world the United States is
the fire's happening. Wildfires happen all the time in California,
but this one's pretty intense. It's hitting Pacific Palisades now.
If you need some geography, it is bordering Malibu, twenty
minutes or so from LA And I have some visuals
for you that my best friend Hannah, who lives in
(29:17):
Santa Monica, sent me on my page.
Speaker 1 (29:19):
Guys, it's crazy.
Speaker 2 (29:20):
I vacationed there in twenty twenty three at the tiff
to F's Potter like the Wizard. If you want to
see what it used to look like compared to what
it looks like right now.
Speaker 1 (29:30):
It's crazy.
Speaker 2 (29:31):
Pacific Palisades is also where all the celebrities live. There's
some video footage going viral of Hannah mont Talk Montague,
you'll know her from the Hills days her house burnt down.
Imagine what it's like leaving your home and being like,
I think I got everything that I needed, but I
don't know, and then thinking in your head like, oh no,
(29:52):
I forgot to grab that, and then the house has
just gone.
Speaker 1 (29:55):
It's burnt to the ground.
Speaker 2 (29:56):
Lots of wild weather happening across the country. Those I
can feeling for my friends in California. I'm sure if
you have them too. It's it's just crazy, crazy crazy.
And the Santa Ana Wins are also contributing. We've got
eighty mile an hour Wins. So sending my thoughts to
California and my friends and your friends as well. All right, lastly,
and three things you need to know this morning. I'm
(30:18):
gonna let Mark Zuckerberg talk about this a little bit
here because there's some changes coming to Facebook and Meta.
Speaker 3 (30:23):
Because it's time to get back to our roots around
free expression on Facebook and Instagram. I started building social
media to give people a voice.
Speaker 1 (30:32):
I gave a.
Speaker 3 (30:32):
Speech at Georgetown five years ago about the importance of
protecting free expression, and I still believe this today. But
a lot has happened over the last several years. There's
been widespread debate about potential harms from online content. Governments
and legacy media have pushed to censor more and more.
A lot of this is clearly political, but there's also
a lot of legitimately bad stuff out there. Drugs, terrorism,
(30:56):
child exploitation. These are things that we take very seriously
and I want to make sure that we handle responsibly.
So we built a lot of complex systems to moderate content.
But the problem with complex systems is they make mistakes.
Even if they accidentally censored just one percent of posts,
that's millions of people. And we've reached a point where
it's just too many mistakes and too much censorship.
Speaker 2 (31:18):
So what's coming to the change is ending third party
fact checking and replacing it with community notes, removing a
reduction of political content, and lifting topic restrictions.
Speaker 1 (31:30):
The Facebook world, well, meta owns.
Speaker 2 (31:33):
I feel like meta owns everything, but Facebook and Instagram
are very different, and I don't really operate much on
Facebook much anymore, because I feel like it leaned so
political for a while that I did get off of it,
and so from you some of this content here, I'm
wondering what kind of changes will come to our feeds,
like always do your own fact checking. Okay, all right,
(31:53):
that is three things you need to know for the
eighth of January. It's so Wednesday. I needed that reminder myself.
You can search Kiss one O seven one on the
iHeartRadio app to participate and listen to Tiff in the
Morning at your leisure.
Speaker 1 (32:05):
Good morning, good morning, good morning. There nothing nothing says
try January like get low.
Speaker 2 (32:14):
You're waking up with Tif in the morning on Kiss
one oh seven one.
Speaker 1 (32:17):
I gotta say I love the new music. Who I
love bringing back some oldies?
Speaker 2 (32:21):
Hey, well listen, the music's not new. We've been playing
music like this for a solid year or so, but
it might be your first time listening.
Speaker 1 (32:29):
So thank you. If we haven't met ya, Good morning,
I'm Tiff.
Speaker 2 (32:32):
You can talk back with Tiff anytime like she did
by using the iHeart Radio app. It's a great way
to kind of get involved with the content and the conversation.
You'll see the microphone right next to the play button
and you can hold that down and you've got thirty
seconds to say, really, whatever it is that you want,
how are you this morning? It's bright and sunny. But
don't let her fool you. Mother nature. Mother nature is
(32:53):
mean a little irrational right now in California and here
in Sincy we're getting snow.
Speaker 1 (32:57):
We're getting three degrees is a high tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (33:00):
What you're feeling right now is not what it's gonna
be like over the next couple of days.
Speaker 1 (33:04):
Whuff, whiff.
Speaker 2 (33:06):
I think I might go shovel out. I might go
shovel out the rest of my neighborhood. It's stressing me out.
The street parking is stressing me out right now because
I'm the only one that's shoveled. Really, my neighbors used
like a dust pan to clean off their car and
just left all the snow there. But now it's all
gonna freeze and we're gonna have nowhere to street park.
That's why I have my Space saver. If you have
(33:28):
no idea what I'm talking about, this is a conversation.
We had it earlier this morning. Get a jump on
it at the TIF to F's potter.
Speaker 1 (33:34):
Like the Wizard. Okay, coming up after Sabrina Carpenter.
Speaker 2 (33:37):
I know this one's probably gonna be mostly for the
girl lees, but what are the in the guys too?
I don't want to say no, but what are the
top dates to get married in twenty twenty five? You
might be surprised by a few of these. One of
them is a Monday.
Speaker 1 (33:52):
Would you get married on a Monday? You're waking up
fifth in the morning? Kiss?
Speaker 2 (33:56):
What U?
Speaker 3 (33:56):
Seven?
Speaker 1 (33:57):
One? Are you getting married in twenty twenty five? Good
for you? Good for you? I'm happy for you.
Speaker 2 (34:04):
The top wedding dates of twenty twenty five are out.
Speaker 1 (34:07):
I'm assuming if you're.
Speaker 2 (34:08):
Getting married this year, you probably already have your date,
but you never know. I might be catching someone that
wants to get married on one twenty five twenty five,
which I believe is a Saturday this year. Could you
imagine a girlfriend of mine that I met on the
Domestic the Domestic the Dominican Republic wedding that I went
to in the fall.
Speaker 1 (34:28):
She had just gotten.
Speaker 2 (34:30):
Engaged in like September and planned a wedding for before Christmas.
I was like, girl, you're nuts, but she did it,
So this might be YouTube all right.
Speaker 1 (34:41):
This year.
Speaker 2 (34:44):
For numerology, four five twenty five is a Saturday. Eight
eight twenty five are both Saturdays. Friday numbers are five
twenty five twenty five and one twenty five twenty five. No,
I lied, four five is a front am I okay,
(35:09):
I'm sorry, I am not. My brain feels like mush
after work him from home. The last couple of days
uh dates. For astrology, June tenth is when Jupiter is
in cancer. And Jupiter is the planet of luck, growth,
and prosperity.
Speaker 1 (35:23):
It thrives in cancer.
Speaker 2 (35:25):
That sign rules home and family, so that happens every
once every twelve years. So if you can secure a
June tenth wedding day according to the stars in the sky,
you might be you might be off to a good start.
The other one that's funny to me is three three
twenty five. But three three lands on a Monday. Would
you ever get married on a Monday? I don't know,
(35:45):
you might be saying, Tiff, I'm like you, I might
never get married. And I'm with you on that one,
all right, coming up at nine forty we do it
every day. The biggest thing I talked about in my
show in the Daily debrief. What is the one thing
you missed?
Speaker 1 (35:55):
Well? What is a space saver? You can get a
jump on.
Speaker 2 (35:57):
Instagram if you want to see it. One Jess, is
there a food from your cafeteria that still haunts you?
Speaker 1 (36:05):
You're craving it to this day?
Speaker 3 (36:06):
Some of the Buffalo chicken wrap?
Speaker 1 (36:09):
Yeah? Wow, you had a Buffalo chicken rap? And high
school girl, where did you go?
Speaker 2 (36:15):
