Speaker 1 (00:01):
When you need to know she's got you. It's three
things with tif on. When I see what.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Is the situation with the water obviously in the heal
sage ran out last night and the hydrants. I was
starting the firefighter in this block. They laughed because there
was no water in the hydrants here. The local folks
are trying to figure that out. I mean, just when
you have a system. There's not dissimilar to what we've
seen in other extraordinarily large scale fires.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
All right, that was the voice of Governor Gavin Newsom
and Anderson Cooper from CNN saying what's the deal?

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Why is there no water in these fire hydrants?

Speaker 3 (00:34):
And to put it into perspective, three out of five
fires burning right now have zero containment, which is the
true definition of just running wild wildfire. At this point,
excuse me, over one thousand structures have burnt to the ground,
three hundred thousand people are without power, and the fire

(00:57):
has spread for sure. So yes, when we touched base,
it was burning the Pacific Palisades down that's gone, that
is attached to Malaboom. It has now since spread to
the Hollywood Hills with an additional fire. Now there's no
word as to how that one started. There's rumors floating
around that could have been a potential, you know, someone

(01:17):
starting that. I have no validity to that at the moment,
but that means now that the Hollywood Hills are burning
and people all across like Santa Monica in Hollywood, adding
another one hundred thousand people to evacuate. And you and
I have talked about evacuations on this show, but for
other cities and other experiences like the hurricanes. For instance,
when my mom was in Florida, you know, we had

(01:39):
called and we said, you know, you have to evacuate,
and she's like, tiffany where am I going to go?
Where do you want me to have at? Where am
I going? And I think of the same sentiment for
those in California?

Speaker 1 (01:48):
Where are you going?

Speaker 3 (01:49):
And the thing about wildfires is I feel as if
there's really no warning when you when they come, it's
all of a sudden boom. And with these Santa Anna wins,
which have since subsided a little bit here, hopefully giving
them some time to catch up. But like I said,
some of those fires, it is your containment. Several celebrities.
Celebrities have lost their homes and The reason why I
bring up their names is because it's the old I

(02:11):
can only name those names, right, I don't know common
people in California.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
I would name their names as well.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
But Adam Brody, who was in Nobody Wants This on Netflix,
a show that we talked about quite a bit, and
his wife Leeton miss Mester right, she's from Gossip Girl,
Miles Teller, Eugene Levy from Shit's Creek, Anthony Hopkins, Billy Crystal,
Spencer Pratt, John Goodman, Martin Short, Selena Gomez's TV dad

(02:38):
and uncle.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Here's another one for you. She came out, I'm sorry,
just you know, one day you're swim at the pool
and the next day it's all gone. But she came
out with her.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
That was the voice of the actor James Woods. It's
just nuts, no power, Hollywood sign.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Who knows? Is it called Runyon Canyon?

Speaker 3 (03:01):
The super famous spot where everyone hikes that's also burning
right now. It feels like it's out of a movie.
It feels like it can't possibly be real. But this
might be one of the most It is at this point,
the most devastating thing to happen to California.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
And when there's more on that. I'll have it for you.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
I'm gonna if you know anyone or you know if yeah,
if you know anyone, you want to call me, You're
more than welcome to do that. Five win, three, seven,
four nine, one, seven to one. Okay, we need to
move forward. Second and three things our own weather. If
you come back over to Cincinnati, we're set to get
some more snow and it is bitter outside right now.
There are still a list of schools that are canceled

(03:40):
that don't have classes today. Temperatures are sitting at nine
degrees at the moment, and we're expected to get anywhere
from two to four inches as of Friday going into Saturday.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
I've got mayor aftab here for you.

Speaker 4 (03:54):
I say a couple things about it. These are the
kinds of weather events that require the immense year round
own preparation. Our city administration goes on undergoes making sure
the equipment and resources are ready, that the employees are trained,
that the warming center plans and backup plans are in effect.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
He also went on to ask for patients and it's
tough to get it.

Speaker 4 (04:17):
Crews are still working around the clock to make sure
our residential roads are passable and stafe. I understand the
frustration from anyone whose street is covered. I understand, I
get it.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
I hear you.

Speaker 4 (04:31):
We understand.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
It's tough in some neighborhoods. Man, it's really hard to you.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
You see some of these videos and you're saying, like,
how have we not gotten here yet? But yes, another
two to four to another two to four and at
this point everything is frozen over. But if you can
get out there and shovel and remove some of the snow,
it does make a big difference, all right. And then lastly,
and three things you need to know. I'll keep my
eyes out on the totals for you. I wish I

(04:58):
had better news. A lot of things coming out about
the Bengals yesterday. The first and foremost, I guess newsworthy
and the one that we'll probably get to right now
is wide receiver Jeremy Burton. Nineteen year old girlfriend accused
him of assault. She told police I guess that he
choked her, damaged her phone, and threatened suicide after an argument.

(05:19):
Now at this point she is declining to press charges.
I don't know if that's gonna change with the state,
but she is declining to press charges and he's also
facing eviction from his apartment.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
When there's more on that one.

Speaker 3 (05:29):
I'll have it for you the season, the episode where
the Bengals ended up not making it into the playoffs
was in Hard Knock, so I'll have some of that
audio coming up in our next hour. All Right, that
was a lot for three things. I hope you're off
to a decent start this morning. It is the ninth
of January. Coming up at seven oh five, we're commercial free,
and the best way to keep listening to Tiff in

(05:49):
the morning is by searching Kiss one oh seven one
on the iHeartRadio app. So once you're there, you can
talk back with Tiff and say, really anything. I would
love to talk to somebody that also has a friend
in California. It would just be nice to be able
to go back and forth with someone so I don't
feel like so alone in this situation at the moment,
but would love to hear from you.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Good morning, Stay warm,
