Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're waking up in the morning seven one, good morning,
good morning, good morning. It feels very quiet like it's
you and I today, and there's a good chance you're
waking up with the show from your house, and I
appreciate that on this holiday. You can always talk back
with Tiff on the iHeartRadio app to contribute. You see
the microphone next to the play button in the top
right hand corner.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
What are your pet peeves?
Speaker 1 (00:21):
I was just chit chatting and three things you need
to know about how annoyed I was on the whole
TikTok front.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
It felt very petty.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
The band was supposed to happen on Sunday, but it
happened at ten thirty, and then you know, a night
on Saturday. And then there were the notifications and then
they named literally the notification named Donald Trump in it,
which I found so bizarre. They're being petty while the
rest of US Americans are just like caught in limbo.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
So we're in the midst of talking to your pet peeves.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
Good morning. Does anyone else feel like they've been played
by TikTok? Thank you, because this whole fiasco is getting
attention seeking drama like that one girl in high school
that would habitually claim she was moving and going to
a different school. On Friday afternoon, she and her friends
would sob and embrace each other by the lockers, only
for her to stroll into school on Monday claiming her
(01:16):
family had a change of plans. Yeah, I'm all set.
Speaker 2 (01:20):
This is whack. I am in tierras. I am in
lockstep with you on that. I'm so annoyed. Pettiness a
pet peeve.
Speaker 1 (01:31):
So to contribute, you could, I mean, if you're with me,
you're more than welcome to call as well. Five one, three,
seven four nine one o seven one. What are your
pet peeves?
Speaker 2 (01:39):
This one?
Speaker 1 (01:41):
Good morning, Good morning. A few things. Number one, it's
freezing and that's not gonna change. It's gonna be very
bitter for the next forty eight hours or so. You're
waking up with tip in the morning on kiss one
oh seven one. In fact, it's affected the inauguration. I'll
have more on that about twenty minutes, when we get
into the three things you need to know to get
your day started. Instancy do that every day at that time.
(02:02):
But we're in the midst of talking about your pet peeves.
This all started if you're just walking into the conversation,
no worries, you haven't missed too much.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
I'm annoyed with TikTok. Are you? Are you with me?
It just felt so petty.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
The whole thing feels very petty, and I'm annoyed by it.
So that's why we're talking your pet Peeves this morning.
Speaker 4 (02:21):
Hi, sticky soda lady here. I can't stand when you
go through a fast food drive through and you ask
for a soda, whether it's a diet coke or a coke,
and the person's so busy talking to their co workers
they don't wipe the cup off before they hand it
to you. So you're given a cup that's all sticky
with soda and it gets all over the steering wheel.
(02:42):
It's disgusting.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
Do your job. As Bill would say, I'm in tears.
That was so specific. You're waking up with Tiff in
the morning. I love that.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
And you can always talk back with Tiff as well
on the iHeartRadio app. That's where I'm checking these voice
notes right now. You'll see the microphone next to the
play button. If you want to contribute, that's up right
hand corner.
Speaker 5 (03:05):
My pet Peeves one of my biggest pet peeves is
when you're talking to a friend or a family member
they have the same complaints over and over again. You
always give them the best advice you possibly can, and
they don't take it, they don't do anything to rectify
the situation, and you constantly hear the same story over.
Speaker 6 (03:25):
And over again.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
Oh, we all have that one friend.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
I feel like that's gotten better in my life though,
as I've gotten a little bit older and we know
how to process our own problems.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
But my best friend in high school was always like that.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
We'd run through an entire plan and she'd feel so
excited by it, and you could and nothing.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
It was like next week, it was like it all
went to dust.
Speaker 7 (03:47):
One of my biggest pet peeves are foot shufflers. If
you're wearing slides, If you're wearing whatever shoes and you
just can't pick up your feet and you're sliding along,
it drives me cold.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
Ray I knew that these would be oddly specific. I'm here,
you know, I know it's cold outside.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
I know there's a you know, a good chance that
you're it's still kind of in weekend mode with the holiday.
But I'm here if you want to contribute five win, three, seven,
four nine one O seven one.
Speaker 2 (04:15):
What is your biggest pet peeve? Hi, good morning.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
You're waking up with TIF in the morning on Kiss
one O seven one. We're in the midst of talking
about your pet peeves. It all started because of the
pettiness I felt coming through my phone this weekend for TikTok.
Didn't the whole thing, with the notifications and the shutdown
and the goodbyes for it to only come back maybe
eight nine hours later.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
That was annoying to me.
Speaker 1 (04:39):
So if you're just joining the show on this bitter
cold Monday holiday, what are your pet peeves?
Speaker 8 (04:45):
My biggest pet peeve is doing the laundry, and everybody
has their clothing inside out and I have to pull
out socks and t shirts and even underwear it to
separate it all just to put it in the wash.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
Yeah, that's a good one. My pet peeve are two
traffic related ones.
Speaker 7 (05:01):
I cannot cannot handle people who cannot figure out how
to use a four way stop.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
And they don't know how to merge. I mean, for
the love of God, it's not that difficult.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
I knew that these are going to be oddly specific,
just that one thing that really grinds your gears.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
My biggest pet peeve is people hanging out in the
left lane when they should not be in the left lane.
Speaker 2 (05:24):
Oh move over, thank you.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
I love you, guys. I love that you're still contributing.
On a bitter cold Monday. All right, coming up in
less than ten minutes, I had the three things you
need to know to get.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
Your day started. And since he included you.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
Know, it's speaking of bitter cold, it's freezing here and
that's affecting the inauguration. I'll have that and more coming
up next.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
When you need to know She's got you. It's three
things with tip good morning.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
How the cold weather here is affecting the inauguration happening
in DC. I'll have that TikTok, We've got it, chichat football,
Saturday Night Live, a whole bunch of things.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
But first, let's start off with the weather here in Cincy.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
I mean I woke up the same temperatures you'd ten
degree single digits. It's freezing, and that's going to be
the case for the next forty eight hours or so.
We'll see Hi's in the twenties tomorrow. And I haven't
looked much further ahead into the week. But if you're
going to set out for the Martin Luther King Day
March today kicks off around ten thirty. It ends in
Washington Park, be prepared for cold temperatures. All right, speaking
(06:28):
of cold temperatures, that's the story in DC as well,
and not the first time, but the first time I believe,
since President Reagan was inaugurated. The ceremony and the festivities
will be held in side. So according to the twentieth
Amendment of the United States, the president's four year term
ends at noon on January twentieth today, and President elect
(06:51):
Donald Trump is sworn in shortly after, with festivities starting
around eleven thirty. And our sister station seven hundred wold
is going to go wall to wall with the coverage. Obviously,
the big story for us is that our very own JD.
Vans of Cincinnati becoming president a vice president rounther of
the United States of America.
Speaker 7 (07:14):
You run for vice president, say to the village people,
single liance here.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
That was at a I believe, a rally last night
before the inauguration. The Middletown Midies, the marching band. You'll
see them at some point today. I'm sure, I'm assuming right.
We sent the big bus load down maybe a day
or two ago, so le'll be thinking of them.
Speaker 2 (07:34):
I think that was it as far as inauguration goes.
Speaker 1 (07:37):
Ah, let me play a clip from President Donald Trump.
I believe this was also from last night. I knew
I was forgetting something.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
I will end the war in Ukraine. I will stop
the chaos in the Middle East, and I will prevent
World War three from happening. And you have no idea
how close we are.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
With that being said, the hostage from both Hamas and
Israel or in the midst of being released, right. I
keep seeing the stories that happened over the weekend, and
they've been held captive for almost no more than that
fifteen months.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
You're gonna start to see that circulating as well. All right.
Speaker 1 (08:16):
Speaking of President elect Donald Trump, I was just trying
to put it into perspective that President Joe Biden's like
career legacy essentially rested on TikTok. Same thing with President
elect Trump coming into office, Like no one cares about
the inauguration. They just care about whether or not TikTok
(08:36):
is coming back. And here's Trump yesterday.
Speaker 9 (08:38):
TikTok is back.
Speaker 1 (08:41):
I didn't like you, and I maybe you don't have
your phone and you have no idea, so I'm just
gonna treat it like that. Ten o'clock rolls around on
Saturday night. The band isn't supposed to go into effect
until Sunday. I go to open the app around ten
ten thirty, the tech start rolling in from my group
chat as well.
Speaker 2 (08:56):
Like saying, hey, do you still have TikTok? Is it
gone for you?
Speaker 1 (08:59):
The big note of it cation pops up and essentially
says you no longer have access to TikTok now. The
world is like, ah, I mean, of course, the internet
does what it does. It goes over to Instagram. There's
all these funny memes, et cetera. Fast forward like nine
hours later, we have TikTok again. And I didn't like
how the notification directly referenced Donald Trump in it.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
I just didn't feel like it was necessary. To me.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
The whole thing feels extremely petty, and the people that
are suffering are us, the American people that.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
Use the app. I don't like it. I think I'm
gonna take a little break from it, to be honest.
It's a band aid.
Speaker 1 (09:35):
President elect Donald Trump just pushed the date like nine
months down the road. I'm sorry, ninety days down the road.
We're gonna come across the same thing. So that's kind
of the latest on that as of right now. You
have access to it, and I don't think that'll change
for the next ninety days or so. When there's more,
you know, I'll take care of you.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
All right, let's shit.
Speaker 1 (09:52):
Chat football before we get to Saturday Night Live. Big
scores from the weekend. Bills beat the Ravens and very tight,
tight race. Last night, the Eagles beat the Rams, the
chief beat the Texans on Saturday, and the Commanders beat
the Lions. I feel like there were a lot of
Cincinnatians that were rooting for the Lions.
Speaker 2 (10:10):
I know I was.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
Next week the Bills will play the Chiefs and the
Eagles will play the Commanders, and tonight is the National
Championship with OSU I believe, kicking off in the eight
o'clock hour, but do not quote me on that one.
Other big stories from football obviously Taylor Swift right, dressed
in all chanelle looking fabulous. Britney Mahomes was at the
(10:31):
game as well, Like days after giving birth to baby
Golden and Caitlin Clark sitting in the suite with Taylor.
Speaker 2 (10:39):
I love that all right.
Speaker 1 (10:41):
And then lastly and the three things you need to
know to get your day started in Sincy. Saturday Night
Lives fiftieth kicked off, of course on Saturday with Dave
Chappelle as the host. About a fifteen or so minute
monologue from him. And there is one point where he
talked about Ohio for President.
Speaker 10 (10:59):
They said the sat of debate, he said, the Haitians
in Springfield, Ohio, well, eating people's dogs and cats. That
really upset me because I live in Ohio. In fact,
I live you know what's up Ohio. I live one
town over from Springfield. Now, those of you who are
(11:20):
from OHIOI I hope you know that's not what's happening
in Springfield at all. What happened in Springfield is a
lot of jobs went away. Twenty thousand Haitian immigrants were
moved there by our government legally, and they pay market
value for their rents, and they saved a lot of
companies because they did jobs that the whites weren't doing.
It's not that the whites couldn't do these jobs, but
they were busy, you know, doing other things.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
Caroin's sleeping on the streets.
Speaker 1 (11:43):
You know what is So I wasn't sure where Dave
Chappelle was going to take the monologue, not the first
that he's done on Saturday Night Live, of course, but
I like that he touched on a lot of great things,
including this at the very end, and this is where
we're going to save it and leave it.
Speaker 10 (11:59):
Whether they're in the powers all Palestine, thank you very.
Speaker 1 (12:03):
Much, A good night, essentially saying humanity. We need to
bring back humanity. If you want to see that, I've
reposted it actually in my stories. If you're a visual
person at the tiff t F's potter like the wizard.
All right, that's a lot. That is three things you
need to know for the twentieth of January. Coming up
at nine oh five, I have your first chance of
the day to win a thousand bucks.
Speaker 2 (12:24):
Don't go far. We're gonna pay your bills on kiss
one oh seven one.
Speaker 1 (12:27):
You're waking up with fifth in the morning, h kiss
one good morning. Yes, sleeping with your coworker or hooking
up with your coworker is on this list, but it's.
Speaker 2 (12:37):
Not number one.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
And I for some reason was surprised about that I've
fallen victim to this one. Uh, there's a good chance
I'm catching you from the holiday and you don't have
to work today.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
Good for you.
Speaker 1 (12:47):
Thanks for listening, by the way on the iHeartRadio app,
making me a part of your morning even on your
day off, or I'm.
Speaker 2 (12:51):
Always streaming with you, especially at this time.
Speaker 1 (12:54):
I came across the top ten workplace nightmares in dreams.
These are the most common one, and I'll start off
with number one. I won't make you wait searched eighty
six hundred times. The most common nightmare people have is
being late for work. And you know what, there might
be there might be a slight chance that you had
(13:15):
that nightmare. You know, don't go last night into today
because it's that Monday holiday.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
You know, maybe you woke up like am I in
the wrong place, the wrong you know?
Speaker 11 (13:22):
Am I? Oh?
Speaker 10 (13:23):
Am I late?
Speaker 2 (13:24):
That was the number one nightmare being late.
Speaker 1 (13:27):
Number two getting fired or losing your job is then
the second most common nightmare or dream in the workplace.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
Number three landing a job.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
Then then all the way down at number four is
having a romantic dream.
Speaker 2 (13:41):
About a co worker.
Speaker 1 (13:42):
I am guilty, And that's one of those things where
you wake up and you're like, what am I supposed
to do with this nightmare? And for the first couple
of minutes, in the very first couple of minutes that
you open your eyes from having that type of dream,
(14:04):
it still sometimes feels real. And then you consider it,
especially if you're single, and you're like, could I date
that person? And then it wears off, right, the dream
starts to wear off. You go into work and you're like, whoa,
but you still look at that person, and then you
have to grapple with the fact that you had the
dream and do you tell them or not.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
I had this conversation. I don't know, maybe two years ago.
Speaker 1 (14:25):
I had a dream about a coworker of mine, like
an intimate dream, and it was I told him, and
I felt like I should have never told him. So
my advice is just keep it to yourself. Keep it
to yourself, all right. Five is seeing an old boss.
Six is quitting your job. By the way, these are
the most common workplace nightmares and dreams that people search
(14:46):
when they wake up. Number seven getting a promotion. That's
a good dream. Number eight showing up to work and naked.
I've never had that one. You'll have to let me
know if that's the case for you. Seeing someone you
work with and getting in trouble. Coming in at number nine,
those are two different ones, and number ten is not
wearing pants to work.
Speaker 2 (15:07):
Ooh, here's what we're gonna do.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
Five one three seven four nine one oh seven one,
or feel free to talk back with Tiff on the
iHeartRadio app. You'll see the microphone in the top right
hand corner. This is only gonna be funny. It's only
gonna work out if you contribute, even on your day off.
Speaker 2 (15:21):
Hold that down. You can leave me a voice.
Speaker 1 (15:23):
No.
Speaker 2 (15:23):
Have you ever had a dream.
Speaker 1 (15:24):
About work that still is sticking with you?
Speaker 2 (15:27):
What is it? Maybe it is the coworker one good morning.
Speaker 1 (15:33):
The most common work place nightmare that was searched eighty
four hundred times in twenty twenty four was.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
Being late for work.
Speaker 1 (15:44):
You're waking up with TIF in the morning on kiss
one O seven one, if you're just walking into the
conversation or chit chatting. The top ten nightmares that you
have on the job, some of them are actually good dreams.
Coming in at number four is sleeping with a coworker,
and I was surprised that that wasn't number one. Running
late for work is number one, which you know I
(16:05):
am consistently running late. So we're chit chatting if you've
ever had a workplace nightmare, et cetera.
Speaker 3 (16:09):
Things.
Speaker 9 (16:09):
So quarantine was looked it and I went into work
and I was completely naked. I forgot to put clothes on.
That was my dream.
Speaker 1 (16:18):
You had the naked one that fell on the list
as well, somewhere within the top five. Uh, that was
a while ago. The coronavirus. Do you remember the coronavirus?
You remember the coronavirus dreams too?
Speaker 9 (16:35):
Okay, So I just had this crazy dream recently and
I got to choose any celebrity I wanted to to
sleep with, and I ended up choosing John Travolda. Oh
I don't know why, but that's what happened in my dream,
and it was crazy and weird. Gross.
Speaker 2 (16:55):
Thank you for sharing that. Adele the wickedly talented Adele Disease.
You're a way I appreciate the talk back with TIF.
Speaker 1 (17:01):
When you search kiss on iHeart, especially on your day off,
you can still be a part of the show. You'll
see the microphone next to the play button in the
top right hand corner.
Speaker 2 (17:08):
Okay, with these bitter cold temperatures, what is.
Speaker 1 (17:12):
The one thing you should always keep in your car?
Speaker 2 (17:16):
Give me two songs and we'll get to that next.
Speaker 12 (17:21):
I think you're waking up.
Speaker 10 (17:22):
With Tiff in the morning on kiss let O seven one.
Speaker 1 (17:24):
Some of these sound a little second nature to me,
but just in case you don't know what to keep
in your car for really cold temperatures. The number one
thing on the list is a snowbrush. And Cincinnati learned
the hard way about a week and a half ago
when you had to use your dunkin Donuts cup to
shovel off your car. Hopefully by now you've gotten a snowbrush.
(17:46):
Coming in at number two is a blanket, and I
do keep this one in my car always, but I
fold up. If you're a runner or a racer, my
number one tip if you do the Pig or the
Queen Bee or something is when you get that aluminum
foiled blanket at the end of the race.
Speaker 2 (18:01):
I have kept those.
Speaker 1 (18:03):
And I fold them up and I put them in
my car because those are great blankets to use just
in case you need it. I mean, I don't think
we're going going on like cross country, you know, Cincinnati trips,
where we're a bend and on the side of the
road anywhere, and you have to spend the night in
your car.
Speaker 2 (18:15):
But oh my god, what speaking of nightmares, what a nightmare.
Speaker 1 (18:18):
But those are the big things that you should keep,
especially in these temperatures. Jumper cables are on the list,
so is additional windchell wipe.
Speaker 2 (18:25):
Or flu in.
Speaker 1 (18:26):
Here are the things that you should not keep in
your car, and I have one of them in my
car as we speak. Aerosol cans makes sense, canned beverages
in food, so if they swell, they'll explode. I have
an entire case of soda water sitting in my trunk
right now, and I am terrified to open up my
back seat and see what's going on back there. Eggs
(18:48):
are another one, electronics, medications, and then the obvious is
the loved ones and the pets. But you know, just
when you think that you feel like everyone's on the
same age about something, there's someone somewhere, usually in Florida,
on the news, that has left their pet in the car.
Speaker 2 (19:08):
And you shouldn't do that. Obviously, with these temperatures, all
right while I have you.
Speaker 1 (19:12):
We're commercial free for a little bit longer, less than
ten minutes from now. I have the three things you
need to know to get your day started in Cincy.
Speaker 2 (19:19):
I mean, outside of the obvious jd vance.
Speaker 1 (19:21):
From Cincinnati becoming Vice President of the United States of America.
What else do you need to know about Cincinnati and
the election?
Speaker 2 (19:28):
I have yet, Like I said, coming up next Good Morning.
Speaker 1 (19:34):
When you need to know She's got you, it's three
things with tip good morning, or just before nine o'clock
at nine oh five, your first chance of the day
to win one thousand dollars and that might equal electricity
bill for you right now with the cold, or a
flight out of CVG to Florida or Arizona or something,
whatever you want, don't go far. A bunch of names
(19:55):
are just added to the Fire Aid lineup, and I'm
wicked excited that this concert's going to be on Kiss
January thirtieth. You will be able to tune into Fire eight.
If you don't have Apple TV to watch it, you
can hear it right here. Anderson pak Alanis Morrissett, earth
Wind and Fire. Gracie Abrams was just added as well
as No doubt, Little Baby Olivia Rodrigo Peso Pluma or
(20:19):
In Tate McCrae, Stevie Wonder, and the Black Crows all
added to the major lineup that I announced last week
that I mean, at this point there's like thirty names,
and it will take even more. It'll take place over
two days, all right, first or second, I guess. And
three things you need to know this morning. Obviously, the
big story for Cincinnati with the inauguration today is the
(20:41):
fact that hometown guy JD Vance is gonna become president
of the vice president rather of the United States of America.
Speaker 2 (20:48):
Here he is. Last night, Vice President broad stays with
a village.
Speaker 9 (20:54):
Of people.
Speaker 1 (20:58):
That was at some sort of rally I'm sure re
celebration for the inauguration today. The way that this works,
the twentieth Amendment states that the current President, Joe Biden's
term will end at noon and President ELEC. Donald Trump
will be sworn in shortly after festivities start around eleven
o'clock today.
Speaker 2 (21:14):
I believe Carrie Underwood.
Speaker 1 (21:17):
Will sing America the Beautiful and then shortly after that
Donald Trump takes the oath. Our sister Station seven hundred
WLW is gonna have wall to wall coverage sturdying around
eleven o'clock if you want to listen to them, available
to you on the iHeartRadio app wherever you go. On
top of that, the Middletown Midies are going to be
representing since Ya on the music stage. You'll see them
(21:39):
perform hopefully on TV. This is all moved inside, so
I don't really know what the layout is going to
look like.
Speaker 2 (21:44):
Not the first time I had to Google this.
Speaker 1 (21:46):
I believe Reagan was the last president to have an
indoor inauguration. The bitter cold temperatures that we're feeling right
now are are everywhere it. I mean, it is biting
ten degrees is really only going to be in the
twenties today and tomorrow. I haven't looked much further advanced
other than that in the week, but it's cold.
Speaker 2 (22:04):
It is cold. Here is President ELEC. Donald Trump.
Speaker 1 (22:09):
I figured i'd play a little clip for you right
before he takes the oath.
Speaker 2 (22:14):
Here you go.
Speaker 8 (22:14):
I will end the war in Ukraine, I will stop
the chaos in the.
Speaker 6 (22:18):
Middle East, and I will prevent World War III from happening.
Speaker 2 (22:22):
And you have no idea how close we are.
Speaker 1 (22:24):
Speaking of breaking news over the weekend, Israel and Hama
ceasefire hostages are starting to be released. You're going to
start to see footage of that over the next several weeks.
All right, Speaking of President ELEC. Donald Trump, TikTok had
no problem putting him in the notification. If you are
(22:45):
on TikTok, you already know the situation. I'm going to
treat this as if you have no idea what TikTok is,
just in case, right, I'm catching somebody that doesn't get
what's going on. We knew that the band was going
to happen on Sunday. I didn't know if it was
going to come at midnight. It ended up coming at
like ten o'clock on Saturday. My group text everyone was like,
do you have it?
Speaker 2 (23:04):
Do you not popped up with the notification. That wasn't
supposed to be the case.
Speaker 1 (23:07):
We were all under the impression that we were going
to still have access to the app, but it would
go away from the app store and it would downgrade
and degrade over time, and then eventually you'd move on
from it.
Speaker 2 (23:19):
It wasn't.
Speaker 1 (23:19):
It felt very petty to me. It felt like all
like government officials and Bite Dance. Everyone was being so
petty about it, and the people that suffer are the
American people that use the app. And in the notification
when it came back eight hours later, it specifically called
out Donald Trump.
Speaker 2 (23:36):
TikTok is back, and I just felt like that was
unnecessary too.
Speaker 11 (23:40):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (23:41):
The whole things put a bad taste in my mouth.
So where does it stand. You can access the app.
It's back for another ninety days. So what we've kicked
the can down the road. We'll be revisiting this same topic. Absolutely,
I'm sure it'll come up. You're only welcome to contribute,
by the way, if you have thoughts. It's not just
me here, You're more than welcome to if you want
to talk back with Tiff. All right, what else, let's
touch base on some football big day. Yesterday the Bills
(24:02):
barely squeaked by the Ravens at a very tight race.
The Eagles beat the Rams, Chiefs beat the Texans, and
the Commanders.
Speaker 2 (24:08):
Beat the Lions. I think Lions.
Speaker 1 (24:10):
There are a lot of Lions fans in Sincy that
were rooting for them to take home the win.
Speaker 2 (24:14):
I was bummed about that.
Speaker 1 (24:15):
One next weekend, the Bills will take on the Chiefs
at six thirty, and the Eagles will play the Commanders
in the three o'clock game. Another major football game tonight
is OSU seven thirty is when the championship game kicks off.
Taylor was in the suite wearing all chanelle alongside Caitlyn Clark.
I was surprised to see her, but I liked that
(24:36):
I don't know what their connection and their friendship is.
And then, lastly, in three Things you Need to Know
this Morning, Dave Chappelle first SNL fifty guest and hosts
rather of this season, and I liked his fifteen minute
monologue were he's ripping SIGs on live TV.
Speaker 2 (24:56):
I liked how he handled it.
Speaker 1 (24:58):
I thought that he touched base on a lot major
things happening in the world, but I specifically and he
also called out Cincinnati, I mean, uh Ohio rather, I
played that in our last hour, but I specifically like
the way that he ended it.
Speaker 10 (25:11):
Do not forget your humanity, and please have empathy for
displaced people, whether they're in the Palisades or Palestine.
Speaker 3 (25:20):
Thank you very.
Speaker 2 (25:21):
Much, and good night.
Speaker 1 (25:23):
If you're a visual person, I have that clip reposted
in my stories right now. If you want to see
the full thing at the Tiff to F's potter like
the wizard.
Speaker 2 (25:31):
Good morning, it is freezing.
Speaker 1 (25:33):
That is three things you need to know for the
twentieth of January. Coming up around nine oh five, I
have your first chance of the day to win one
thousand dollars.
Speaker 2 (25:41):
I'm gonna pay your bills on kiss, so do not
go far. You're waking up with fifth in the morning, kiss,
what use seven?
Speaker 9 (25:46):
One?
Speaker 2 (25:47):
Good morning? Good morning? Come on in and sit down.
Speaker 1 (25:49):
In TIFF's Community Corner where we highlight the unsung heroes
of Cincinnati. And if you remember, last week, I introduced
you to a guy named Zach. I always say that
he's the most consistent in my life because I've seen
him every day on the corner of my neighborhood for years,
and we've had lots of conversations. Sometimes it's only five seconds,
(26:09):
sometimes it's two minutes, whatever the length of the light is.
Speaker 2 (26:12):
And when I woke up, I'm telling.
Speaker 1 (26:13):
You guys, when I woke up, oh, like Monday or
Tuesday of last week, my gut reaction was like, oh no,
I'm thinking to Zach it is cold outside and he
sleeps in a tent somewhere in my neighborhood in the
woods somewhere, and so I had asked you, guys, I said, listen,
I don't know a single thing about camping, but I
(26:34):
know he lives in a tent.
Speaker 2 (26:35):
Do you have any extra camping gear that you were.
Speaker 1 (26:38):
Going to maybe put up on Facebook marketplace and you
weren't going to use, but you know it, would you
be willing to donate this? And I was blown away
by the response that I had gotten, you know, from
a few different people, saying like, actually, yeah, Brandy cleans
out storage units and she works for tanks. She said,
I've got a few things, et cetera. So if you're
a visual person, while I'm talking, if you want to.
Speaker 2 (26:58):
See at the tap two f's Potter like the Wizard.
Speaker 1 (27:01):
I'm very, very excited to introduce you to Callen Heine
and his dad, Adam him.
Speaker 2 (27:08):
They live in Amelia.
Speaker 1 (27:09):
Okay, you're about to hear like a little voice on
the radio. I don't typically hear smaller voices on the show.
So good morning, Callen, Good morning Callen. Why don't you
tell us what you usually do for the homeless in
your own words? Because I don't want to take them
out of your mouth.
Speaker 13 (27:26):
I usually help about the homeless by giving him those
types of chef like snacks, glosh, hats, jackets, det it,
body washed yep, toothpaste and toothbash, sleeping bag.
Speaker 11 (27:45):
And that's really it that we give them.
Speaker 1 (27:48):
So I love the way that the story started to
and I'm gonna let you explain it. But Callen, you know,
collects all these things and puts it in a bag.
Speaker 2 (27:56):
You gave me one of those bags.
Speaker 1 (27:58):
That I then gave to Zach and it was basically
like everything. It was like it almost felt like a
weekender bag.
Speaker 11 (28:04):
You know.
Speaker 1 (28:04):
It had the sleeping bag in it, It had the socks,
the hat, the snacks, the water. But I felt like
it was such a cool thing to be able to
give someone like a weekender bag essentially that would go
on to help and save their It could help to
save their their life.
Speaker 2 (28:24):
Why did you start doing that?
Speaker 13 (28:27):
Because I didn't want gish, because I didn't want the
holme less people to like just so they have to
fit out the trash cans and all that. Ye Like,
in the winter time, you get cold because snaw comes
down like interpture, like two degrees and so like you
(28:51):
need heads, gloves, sure jackets, socks.
Speaker 1 (28:55):
So then Adam Callen comes to you and says, he said,
like you, I must as a parent having to explain
why someone's on the corner asking for help, that has
to be a big parent moment.
Speaker 6 (29:07):
It definitely was, yeah, and it was definitely one of
those things that kind of broke both me and my
wife down.
Speaker 2 (29:13):
Started about four years ago.
Speaker 6 (29:15):
He came to us and wanted to help out people
that were off the exits, off the side of the
road that he had seen, and that year he asked
us to forego his Christmas gifts and wanted us to
spend the money on providing homeless with essential so that
they might need to survive. Of course, I'm not going
(29:35):
to let any kid, you know, forego their Christmas. We
definitely made his wish come true that year by getting
enough stuff, and at the time when my dad was
still alive, he he got involved and was really big
into this. At that time. I think during retirement, he
was working a couple of days a week at like
the Dollar Tree, So it definitely helped because he used
(29:55):
his work to really get a bunch of stuff for
us as well. And that very fair year he put
together twenty five bags to pass out to the homeless,
and it has doubled every four years now. So the
first year he put together twenty five bags, second year
was fifty, and now we're over one hundred at this point.
So I mean, just donations throughout the year, and then
(30:17):
whatever else isn't in the bag, me and my wife
go out and cover the cost of the rest of
the stuff.
Speaker 1 (30:22):
You took the words out of my mouth. So it's
a family operation in the studio. It's not just the
two of you. Your wife and your daughter are here
and you, guys, outside of getting donations, you will go
to a store or you'll go to Amazon dot com
and order the rest to make these bags happen. And
you're sitting at one hundred bags right now for this year.
Speaker 2 (30:41):
That's nuts.
Speaker 1 (30:42):
And then what you call and you go and you
drop them off where to the police station, and then
they go ahead and donate them. That to me is
such a cool way to help Cincinnati.
Speaker 2 (30:56):
In our own place that where we live.
Speaker 1 (30:58):
These are people that we see every single day that
need our help. And it was something so small that
you started that has turned into something so big.
Speaker 2 (31:06):
So I really love that you've shared this.
Speaker 1 (31:09):
With Tiff in the morning, where if people were to
donate and wanted to help out, how would they do that?
What do you what are you looking for? And how
do you want this to happen?
Speaker 6 (31:18):
I mean we haven't really got to this point yet,
so I guess the easiest way right now would just
be through social media, sure, which I can give you.
I know you have my Instagram and I can give
you Ashley's some stuff too. She's more active on there
than I am.
Speaker 1 (31:30):
Yeah, well you say it right now? Whoever you want
people to reach out to.
Speaker 6 (31:33):
Yeah, she can reach out. Anybody can reach out to
myself or Ashley. I don't even know my Instagram handle.
Speaker 2 (31:39):
I'm Ashley. Come on, do you know yours? Okay?
Speaker 1 (31:42):
I can pull up Adam's Instagram handle? Is it's Adam
Heine Adam dot h e I N eighty nine. Again,
that's Adam dot h e I N eighty nine. These
are just people in Amelia that are helping neighbors, helping
neighbors right. Thanks for being a part of TIFFs community corner.
I really appreciate you, and I I I wish that
Zach was here now because he was very excited to
(32:04):
receive your your gift.
Speaker 2 (32:06):
So I appreciate you guys, absolutely, thank you.
Speaker 11 (32:10):
One question, Yeah, how's Zach doing it?
Speaker 1 (32:12):
Though Zach's I didn't see him this morning because it
was I get up pretty early to come into the show.
But when I saw him over the weekend, he has
smile on his face. But as far as seeing him
since the weather has turned colder, I haven't. But there's
a good chance that I'll see him this afternoon and
I will get the insight for you. Okay, thank you,
(32:32):
thank you.
Speaker 2 (32:35):
You're waking up with Tim in the morning. Gone, kiss
all right, good morning, good morning.
Speaker 1 (32:40):
Before I say goodbye, I want to say hi and
introduce you to two people that you might have heard
a few minutes ago on the radio.
Speaker 2 (32:47):
Let's start off with Hi.
Speaker 11 (32:49):
My name is cal yourn Amelia Elementary.
Speaker 12 (32:51):
And Hi, my name is Emlyn and I go to
Amlia Elementary.
Speaker 1 (32:56):
Their family had stopped into TIFF's community corner today. If
you had I didn't have a chance to sit with
us and chit chat and catch up. You can get
caught up on the podcast at your leisure today when
you search Tiff in the morning on the iHeartRadio app.
I had introduced you to Zach last week, right, if
we're connected on social you saw him.
Speaker 4 (33:12):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (33:12):
He lives in a tent in the woods near my house,
and I was thinking of him very much the last
week or so. I mean, he's the most consistent man
in my life because we talk and have talked just
about every day. He's out there for the last couple
of years. And I said, shoot, it's bitter outside. I mean,
if I don't want to be outside, I can't imagine
living outside in the woods of Cincinnati. And so the
(33:34):
reason why you're hearing Callen and Emmy's voice this morning
is because why remind us one more time?
Speaker 11 (33:42):
Because you're helping out the homeless.
Speaker 1 (33:44):
Yeah, you guys make bags with sleeping bags. What else
are in the bags? I know you helped pack the
bags at me.
Speaker 12 (33:50):
There's chapstick, charm, deodourrette, toothbrush, tooze, paste, gloves, scarf, socks,
sleeping bags, blankets, nipbrush, faste, snacks.
Speaker 11 (34:01):
And water.
Speaker 1 (34:02):
All of those are just in this little bag. And
they dropped one off to me last week when they
heard about Zach. I gave it to him. And I
just love the community helping community, Right, neighbors helping neighbors
here in TIFF's Community corner. Tell me about the snacks
that are in there, because you know, do you pick
out your favorites that you're like, I would like to
eat this snack because I saw a couple of peanut
(34:24):
butter crackers in there and those are my favorite.
Speaker 12 (34:27):
Go ahead on mey, not really, they just pick snacks
up for them.
Speaker 1 (34:31):
Okay, and you pack, you use your packing skills. Well, Callen,
is there anything else that you want people to know?
Speaker 11 (34:38):
No?
Speaker 1 (34:38):
No, okay, Well I appreciate you guys being a part
of Tiff in the Morning. If your ears are perking
up and you're like, wait a minute, I want to help.
We just did this whole thing. You can get caught up,
like I said on the podcast, when you search Tiff
in the Morning on the IHET Radio up.
Speaker 2 (34:50):
I hope you have a great day. We do have
a lot to talk about.
Speaker 1 (34:53):
Of course, when we come back tomorrow, we'll cover the
inauguration and TikTok and if you and I are not
connected on social the Tiff to F's potter like the Wizard,
have a great day and thanks guys.
