Speaker 1 (00:02):
Kiss. I was obsessed with that song over the summer.
Doja cats up for a couple of wards at our
iHeartRadio Music Awards. I'll have more on that than three
things coming up at seven point fifty. We do that
every day at that time. Parents, are you willing to
admit that this study is correct and that you do,

(00:23):
in fact have a favorite child or maybe a favorite grandchild.
I feel like we're gonna get some more admissions on
that one than we are the kids, because if you
say no, you're a liar.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
A liar.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
I kind of feel like Regina George where she's standing
at the top of that corridor with her you know,
arms crossed and her foot out while it's like chaos
ensuing around her. That's kind of what this conversation feels
like to me. This study came out from a university
that does family planning, et cetera, and it basically admits
that parents do have a favorite child, and you know

(00:59):
who it is. It's the girls in the family. What
slightly more favorable than sons. Daughters get the treatment. Now.
I'm not an only child, but I have half siblings
from different dads, and we were never in the house
at the same time, our age gaps are too big.

(01:20):
I was never in school with my brother at the
same time, either of my brothers, so I don't know
about this next piece. But the second part of the
study talks about, yes, younger siblings have it way, way,
way easier than the ogs, the originals, the first, the

(01:42):
first round of kids. But it also mentions that the
first the oldest siblings have a little bit more autonomy
and favoritism in a different way. But younger siblings, it
is now proven from this study, have it easier than
older siblings. You'll have to let me know if you
agree on this. Five to one, three seven, four nine,
one oh seven one. Do you have a favorite kid?

(02:05):
I doubt we'll get a call that says that, but maybe,
but maybe, or do you agree with this? Maybe you
are sitting here right now as the older sibling and
you're like, yeah, it was jarring growing up in my
household as the older sibling while my younger sibling just
got away with murder. I never yeah, I never had
I never lived in a house with siblings, but I

(02:25):
always had a good relationship with both of my parents,
although they live in different states. My dad lives in Massachusetts.
My mom lives in Tampa, Florida, and we've always just
had a pretty quiet, chill family dynamic. But my best friend, Casey,
who has four siblings that were pretty much all in

(02:47):
high school at the same time. When I go to
that house, I was in fact Regina George five one, three,
seven seven one. Do you agree yes or no? With
the favoritism in the family? Good morning. I also love
that song too, maybe because of a TikTok and had
a research in So you're waking up with tip in
the morning on Kiss one oh seven one commercial free

(03:09):
for the rest of the hour, are you willing to
admit that you have a favorite child? So this was
a study I was just talking about. If you're walking
into the conversation here this morning, the answers yeah, And
the answer also says that younger siblings have it way
easier than the older siblings.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Yes, not only do I have a favorite child, but
I have a favorite grandchild.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
Ah. I knew someone would admit I actually will Well,
I didn't think that someone would admit that they had
a favorite child. But I was thinking we'd get someone
that admitted they had a favorite grandchild, and they were
go we had both.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
I truly don't have a favorite child. Rather, probably through
the years it was more of the least favorite child,
depending on where they were developmentally, what age they were at,
and certainly it would change from child to child if
they were being especially difficult.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
Well, thank you for the time back with Tiff. Guys,
when you search kiss one O seven one on the
iHeartRadio app, there's a microphone. It's right in the top.
It's in the top right hand corner of the app.
You hold that down and it's like leaving me a
voice to no. I check them all. I check them
all day long. We get them all the time. We
got time for one a lot.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
I think the book end is accurate, the youngest and
the oldest being the favorite, at least in my family.
And I think the study talking about females being favored
a little bit more is because the females end up
caring for and taking care of their parents, whether it
be moving in visit them and nursing homes, and sons

(04:37):
just don't do that as often.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Ah, you make a good point there about care and whatnot.
I'm dealing with that myself because my dad and I
have been working on our estate, et cetera. Granted I'm
an only child of his, I do have half siblings
from different dads. There's one thing that we can all
agree on. Family dynamics are complicated. Good morning. I think
older siblings everywhere instead Incinnati in the Tri State area

(05:01):
are like yep. But I definitely definitely went through war
before my younger siblings got here and did whatever they wanted.
If you're just walking into Tiff in the morning, Hi,
it might be the first voice you're hearing of the day.
Kiss one O seven one Here. There was a family
planning study that came out and said that parents number
one do play favorites and number two younger siblings have

(05:25):
it way easier than older ones. Good morning.

Speaker 4 (05:28):
Hi. I'm the oldest of five girls, and I was
not allowed to do anything. I was not allowed to
go on a spring break when I was a senior.
My sister, on the other hands.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
It's ten years younger than me.

Speaker 4 (05:39):
By the time she went on spring break with her friends,
my dad was loading the beer into the back of
the vein m So definitely a difference.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
I love so glad you too, You too, Good morning,
kiss one oh seven one. I'm back with you thanks
for holding hi.

Speaker 4 (06:00):
I just wanted to say that I do not have
a favorite child.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
I have two boys, Katoka.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
But my order son is the guinea pig is what
we like to call it, because.

Speaker 4 (06:12):
He was a guinea pig for everything first.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
The second one does get it easier for sure. Okay,
so you do admit that. What's your name? By the way,
with neighborhood? Waking up with man Alisha and I'm in Corey.
Thanks for the call, Alicia. I appreciate you. Gal kiss
one of seven one good morning, go ahead, you're on
the air.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (06:28):
So about the kids and favorites, I have five daughters,
so I do not have a favorite.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
They all take their turns each day. Okay. I was
gonna say, you mean to tell me right now that
you don't really have a favorite wink wink, But the
fact that they switch it out daily makes sense. Yeah,
what's your name? With neighborhood? You waking up with man?

Speaker 2 (06:47):
Jessica in northern Kentucky.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
Yeah, we heard from everywhere today. We were all over
the math Kentucky since he I haven't heard from any
Indiana yet, but I'm sure we'll get there all right.
Commercial Free You're still more than welcome to contribute to
the conversation. Coming up two songs from now, we're gonna
dive in to the three things you need to know
to get your day started. In since I've got some
bodycamp footage from the Joe Burrow Burglary suspects, i'll play

(07:13):
that in more coming up next. And if I caused
any chaos in the car this morning, parents where you
have to admit who's your favorite child, I'm really sorry
about that.
