You're waking up fifth in the morning time Kiss one
seven one. Hello, Hello, good morning. We have other things
to get to in this hour, but I want to
take a minute to recognize John John. And of course
I'm talking about John John on air those afternoons here
at Kiss one oh seven one and my counterpart on
the job. And the reason why is because I don't

(00:21):
think he'll ever truly understand what type of magic he
brings to Cincinnati. And I also don't think he'll ever
really give himself the flowers. So our Kiss one O
seven one team is very small. It's him and I
and a few other key players, and it is a
goal of mine in this life to just celebrate the
people that are around me and lift them up and

(00:42):
give them them flowers where needed, and make sure that
people feel like what they do matters right, and who
they are and who they show up in this world
makes a difference and it matters. So the reason I
bring this up is because he's already posted about it,
and if you follow him on social media, there's a
really good chance that you've seen that John John said
goodbye to his mother last week and she had passed

(01:03):
away and over the weekend. I had gone to the
celebration of life and the services on Saturday, and I
can't imagine what it's like to say goodbye to a parent.
And if you've done that, you are in a special
club that only people in the club know what it
feels like, and it'll come for all of us at
one point in this life. But watching John John say

(01:27):
goodbye to his mother was really something special and sweet.
And I don't think he recognizes sometimes the magic that
he can bring to a room, and it is a
special skill, it's a talent. And I don't think he
was trying to be John John from the radio in
this moment. I think he was being authentic to who

(01:47):
he was and who he is rather. But in that moment,
as he was, you know, getting ready to say a
utulogy for his mother, you could feel like the tension
in the air. Right of course, it's a service, saying
goodbye to a loved one, and you could just feel it.
You could feel a presence, you could feel just the
heaviness and the sadness and what it's like to sit

(02:10):
in that. And then John John takes the mic and
slices it open. Just what slices it open right away,
and you could visibly and audibly hear the audience take
a sigh and a breath. And that is just such
a special special thing about a human being to be
able to bring light and joy and energy to a

(02:32):
room where people aren't always able to do that, and
they look to you to do that. And he did that,
and he was very eloquently spoken about his mother and
his family and how much she meant to him. And
I just I'll always remember that moment for John John,
and I'm sending him a lot of love. You know, grief,
if you're going through it, grief is not linear, and

(02:55):
she most certainly knocks on the door whenever she wants
and wherever she wants. So I just want to recognize
John John in that moment because watching him, you know,
say goodbye is was really tough, but also very beautiful
at the same time. And you know, what we do
in this world matters, right, and what you say in
this world matters. And I think John John shows up
every day and it really does that for Kiss one

oh seven one in our Kiss community here in Cincinnati
and Indiana and in northern Kentucky. So all right, we're
