Speaker 1 (00:01):
When you need to know she's got you. It's three
things with T and we're here to assure the American
people that we are going to leave no stone unturned.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
That's NTSB on the investigation about what happened yesterday. I
can tell you that both black boxes have been recovered
from that crash. At this point, there are still I
believe a handful of bodies that have yet to be recovered.
But we're starting to learn a little bit more about
who's on the plane. And I was hoping that this
wasn't going to be the case, but there are connections
(00:37):
back to Cincinnati. One of the passengers on the American
Airlines flight is a former student of a Mideira High
School and here's her former principal.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
She was a rock star, you know.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
She was just a great student, a nice young lady,
just a pleasure.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
To be around.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
Her name is Elizabeth An. She graduated from here, went
to Tufts University and Boston, got a job at a
law firm in d c. And was supposedly on her
way home at that point thinking of her family locally here. Also,
we have some connection to one of the soldiers that
was on board of the helicopter. Although he's not a native,
he has some extended family here. And one other potential
(01:22):
connection is someone on board was an employee of GE Aviation.
It's unclear whether or not he lived here or has
ties here outside of GE, but I'm thinking of everyone
that's gone through this. The other thing that you're starting
to learn a little bit more about is that how
many figure skaters, youth figure skaters, were on board that
plane coming home from a competition in Wichita. I mean,
it's all over the social media, just some of their talents.
(01:45):
Nancy Carigan, who you'll know is a famous Olympic figure skater,
got in her car and just went to the figure
skating rink in Boston, where a few of these were from,
and she hurt. Videos are going are everywhere right now here.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
She is anyone that was on the plane, not just
the skaters, because it's just such a tragic event. And
we've been through tragedies before as Americans as people, and
we are strong, and I guess it's how we respond
to it.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
And when there's more on that one, I'll have it
for you. Just a few tidbits of information that I'm learning.
Excuse me, soldiers, that night. Wore night vision goggles and
they were experienced. There are reports that they were understaffed
at the air traffic control towers. And this is the
deadliest US air disaster in a quarter century. I'm going
(02:35):
to have more on this throughout the morning, but we'll
leave it there for now. Last night on Kiss one
oh seven to one and close to sixty iHeartRadio stations
across the globe Fire Aid, which is the two part
benefit concert for the LA Fire victims. Lots of things
happened as far as performances goes, but Billy Crystal opened
the show. Here.
Speaker 1 (02:55):
He is a number of people who would tragically affect
it by these fires, and I am one of them.
These these were the clothes I wore when I fled
my house with my wife Channis, like so many of
us did on January seventh.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
Lots of performances, I mean so so many. I'll play
just one clip of I mean, who how about pink?
Speaker 1 (03:22):
Right?
Speaker 2 (03:22):
This is what about us? What about?
Speaker 1 (03:27):
What about?
Speaker 2 (03:28):
What's I just sent you at the answer. I'll have
more on this throughout the rest of the morning. If
you didn't get a chance to catch it live on
Kiss last night, all right, Lastly, it is New Music Friday.
We finally have our first album of the year. Delayed
a week due to fy the the La Fires. The
(03:48):
Weekend released his album This is called Cry for Me.
One of the singles.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
Suggest the cry.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
Every much. With this final I will have that song
in full coming up around seven oh five. Can you
give me a few minutes here? It's Kiss one oh seven.
