Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's time for Tuesday Tips on Tip in the morning.
All right, It's exactly what it is every Tuesday. Everything
since comes on. Hi Abby, Good morning. She gives you
like three things that you can get involved with in
our city this weekend or this week, depending on what
kind of lifestyle you're living solo, single, family. This week
(00:21):
we're focusing on Gallentine's Day and the upcoming Valentine's Day
holiday Friday.
Speaker 2 (00:26):
Good morning, Miguel, Good morning.
Speaker 3 (00:28):
I don't know if maybe it's just me, but I
think people are getting more into Gallentine's Day this year
than ever before, especially the businesses. I feel like every
business is doing something it does this seem like to
you or is it just a me thing?
Speaker 1 (00:43):
I agree with you, And maybe it's just because there's
a lot more single try staters than there have been
in the past, or maybe we're just more comfortable going
out and celebrating being single with our friends than ever before.
Speaker 3 (00:57):
Yeah. Well, there's lots of fun things to do, and
obviously can learn about all of those at everything simpy
dot com. But if you I wanted to highlight if
you haven't gone down to Cobblestone, the Bar and OTR,
which is like right kind of across from Washington Park.
They do these pop ups, and they do things so
well when they do a pop up. I was there
(01:18):
for Christmas time and it blew me away, and I
walked in for Valentine's Day, and I went last week
and I was like, no way, this is so so cool.
They even have a love lock wall where you can
get a lock and you can write on it and
you can put it on the wall and just all
kinds of really fun things. They have those Dubai chocolate
(01:39):
bars that have gone like viral. Have you heard about those?
Speaker 1 (01:42):
I haven't, but I saw everything since the social posts
on them.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
I'm curious about it.
Speaker 3 (01:47):
It was actually very tasty. I tried it and it
was not like anything I've had before. But supposedly TikTok.
These things have gone crazy because people were like dming
me left and right, like, oh my gosh, do they
have them still? Often stock like oh, I'm going right now.
Like it was intense. So if you're trying to find
something fun for somebody that you think would like those,
(02:08):
definitely go down and treat them. You can grab them
and actually take them to go with you. But they
were they were very good.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
Okay, so call the Stone for Gallantine's Day.
Speaker 3 (02:17):
Yeah yeah, and then a few other Gallantines Day events. Well,
one thing I thought, this isn't necessarily a Gallantine's Day event.
I do think they're doing a pop up. But I
like to shouting out creative ideas. So if you're like,
we don't really want to do a ticketed event, but
we'd love to do something fun and festive. So there's
a business called Magnolia Rose and it opens not too
(02:41):
long ago, and it's a flower bar, and so you
can go with your friends. You can like they have
reading sections where you can just go there and read
a book. You can make your own flower bouquet. There's
different like stations. You can just go and paint a
flower pot. They have a bar in there so you
can order wine, you can order cocktails or mock tails,
(03:03):
and it's really just it is so cute inside because
it's all what's fresh flowers everywhere?
Speaker 2 (03:08):
What neighborhood is this in Abbey Play Lainsville Road? Okay, yeah,
so so cool.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
And then Highball and ocr they're doing a Friends of
Gallan tiny events, but it is just platonic. So they
were like, just come and meet new friends and come
down and it's free to go, so you don't need
a ticket for this, and they're actually going to be
giving you a free welcome shot and they're gonna have
(03:34):
caviar bumps down there, so I think that will be fun.
I'll have to get back to you guys on that
they don't have a date posted.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
Abby does all the research so that we don't have to,
and that's why I bring her on my show every
Tuesday to give us one or two things.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
To look out for in our city.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
Low cost, no cost, free, low barrier to entry, make friends,
date someone new. It's always a new theme. Abby, thanks
so much for joining the show, my gal.
Speaker 3 (03:58):
Thank you so much. Have a great weekend. The Happy
Gallantine Valentine's.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
Day to everyone.
Speaker 1 (04:03):
Gallantine's Day falls on the thirteenth this coming Thursday, So
if you're looking to plan something with a friend, that's
the date to look out for. And I bet that's
when Highball is doing theirs all right, coming up at
nine thirty ish. We do it every day, the daily Debrief.
The one big thing that we talked about on my
show is weddings.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
Today.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
I mean the amount of reaction that I got on
the posts is nutso it's got over twenty thousand views
at the Tiff to F's Potter Like the Wizard.
Speaker 2 (04:31):
It's the first thing in my stories if you want
to see it.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
I felt really bad for this bride in Naples, Florida
this weekend when I saw what was going on with
her wedding and got.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
Your advice on him. Got some stories from you.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
We will revisit those around at nine thirty, but if
you'd like to get a jump on things, talk back
with Tiff on the iHeartRadio app. You'll see the microphone
next to the play button. Have you ever experienced anything
at your wedding?
