Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're waking up with fifth in the morning time kiss
one seven one.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
There is a murder on the loose, I said, clungbi
a tusculon, But I really should have said mount lookout.
That's where I was on Saturday night. Have you ever
done a murder mystery party? If you have, I know
this is a very niche group, but you should reach
out to me. I'm wondering if how your experience was
in comparison to mine. Talk BACKO, TIV, shoot me a DM,
call me if you want. I'd love to get you
(00:25):
on the air chitchat about it. So I did a
nineteen twenty speak easy murder mystery party on Saturday.
Speaker 1 (00:31):
A girlfriend of mine was hosting a birthday for her friend.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
You need about ten or twelve people, and the one
thing you need to know about a murder mystery party
is there's.
Speaker 1 (00:41):
A lot of literature. And if you're neurodivergent like me,
I mean, buckle up and get ready. You know, you
got your.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
Friends at the party, everyone's in costume. You have a
few adult beverages or adult candies in you. Next thing,
you know, someone hands you your envelope and they say
to get to it and you're like, what, this is
a novel, So there's a lot of literature that you
need to be prepared to like digest and understand. Murder
mystery parties are broken into three rounds. So first round,
(01:12):
everyone gets their envelopes and then there's a section there
that describes what you're supposed to say to someone, and
then on the other side are a context clues about
who you are. Now, different people have different things on
their cards. Luckily, Wilene Black, who was my character? Is it? Oh,
by the way, it was a salacious journalist. I said, oh,
how fitting. Some people have more to do in the
(01:35):
story and others have less, and thankfully for me, I
was on the less side. So a piece of my
card was like just wander around and eavedrop on people talking.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
I was like, okay, I can do that, like no problem.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
But the second round comes and that's where the person
gets murdered and no one of course, like even the
host of the party doesn't know who it is.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
That was one thing I said, Oh, it is the
kind of know who's who.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
They don't either, so they can play and then that's
when you start to get a little bit more about
the storyline. But things are moving fast, like there's a
lot of conversation happening, and I kept being like, wait
a minute, are you like real life Lexi or are
you like playing your character? And She's like, Tiffany, we're
all supposed to stay in our character, and I was like, okay,
wait a minute, I have like so many questions about this.
So my brain was I don't know if my brain
(02:23):
was the right fit for a murder mystery party, because
there's a lot to digest and understand, and then the
last round is where you get a little bit more
context clues and you also make your guesses on who
the murderer was, and then everyone kind of reads this
piece out loud, Da da da, and then you're done.
The whole game can take anywhere from two to three hours,
(02:43):
which is making me giggle thinking about that Shit's Greek episode.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
I was not the murderer.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
I just was the salacious journalist and most of the
time I just hung around the chip bowl eating snacks.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
So there's that. All right, We're commercial for you for
a little bit longer. Happy Monday.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
If I'm the first voice that you're hearing today, I
hope you're off to a good start.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
Sun is out, It's gonna be in the fifties.
Speaker 2 (03:02):

you need to know to get your day started in Cinci,
including the latest from Rihanna. So wait, are we actually
getting a new Rihanna album? Oh my God, stick around
that's next
