Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're waking up. Kiss good morning.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Have you ever come across a scenario in dating, relationships,
and marriage.

Speaker 1 (00:11):
That has anything to do with religion.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
There's a reason why we're talking about it this morning,
but it's also ash Wednesday, coming off of fat Tuesday,
So if you're going to be getting your ashes today,
you might be able to contribute to this conversation a
little bit more than I can. So I'm not a
watcher of the Bachelor. I don't know why I phrased
it like that, but I don't watch The Bachelor. So

(00:35):
I'm getting like the cliff notes spark notes version of
this from what I've scrolled past on social media, and
let me know if I'm getting this wrong. Bachelor Season
twenty nine, Grant Ellis did was something that they call
the hometown dates, right where you go back to like,
you know, three or four girls different hometowns and meet
their families, et cetera. You went to Boston, New York, Chicago,

(00:58):
and then out to Wyoming where he hung out with
a group of Latter Day Saints, saying, quote, I've never
met a Mormon before.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
I didn't really know anything. It's new from me.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
As he was kind of getting ready for this date,
and I said, hmm, I wonder if Cincinnati maybe not
with the maybe maybe, I don't know, maybe maybe again.
You will probably have a touch more insight on this
type of experience than I do because everyone that I've
dated in the past, the religious conversation has never come up.

(01:33):
But it hasn't so I have never run into that
type of conversation before. So what I'm going to do
is open up the phone line. Well, not that the
thing ever closes, Okay, no phone line ever gets really
shut off five one three seven four nine one oh
seven one. Feel free to talk back with IF on
the iHeartRadio app. Have you ever run into this conversation

(01:56):
while dating.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
Or even being married? We'll get to that next. Good Morning.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
You're waking up with TIF in the morning on kiss
one of seven one. Okay, I'm glad that you were
able to kind of take the reins on the show
this morning with a topic that I'm not super well
versed in or familiar with, and that is religion and dating.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
Two reasons.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
One it's ash Wednesday for those that recognize that, and
two I scrolled past something on that happened with The Bachelor,
a show that I also don't typically watch.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
But I found it interesting that he quickly had to.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
He went and spent some times with the Latter day Saints,
which I'm learning is Mormon, right, I'm doing my best
year to put the pieces of the puzzle together, and
he was kind of talking about that in the episode.
And again, this is just kind of what I scrolled
past on social media. I say, wait a minute, what
are we doing here in the Tri State. As far
as religion and dating, has that come up? It never
has for me, So thank you so much for taking

(02:51):
the reins.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
I think it really depends on how religious each person is.
If someone's like very very much following the rules and
going to church all the time. Personally, I was raised Jewish,
but like not religiously, then that could be an issue
because you don't want to force someone to believe something,

(03:12):
and I personally think that our kids should be able
to choose what they want to believe.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
Well, thank you for the talkback with Tiff.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
When you search kiss on the iHeartRadio, you two can
leave me voice notes if you don't feel like calling.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
You know what that one reminds me of.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
That was like the whole thread of conversation in the
show Nobody Wants This, which everyone wanted more of on Netflix.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
That show is great, Good Morning. I am religious.

Speaker 4 (03:37):
I grew up going to church and my now boyfriend
is not religious at all, and we believe in church
and state and we just don't talk about it at all.
He will see me with the Bible, he'll see me praying.
He will not say one thing about it, and that's
respectful to me. I don't want him to feel pressure

(03:58):
to join me in my religion.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Is that deb that's very healthy?

Speaker 2 (04:03):
You know what makes me super happy about relationships and
talking about them is when I hear about healthy habits.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
Oh I love it. I am in a mixed religion marriage,
and when people ask us how we're raising our kids,
our answer is we're raising them with lots of love.
We want to raise good human beings who.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Have an understanding of all religions and couldn't.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
Be more prouder of my boys and our family. Well,
thank you so much for sharing. Okay, you know what,
I'll leave it up to you.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
If you feel like there's more to say, go ahead
and contribute. We using that same feature, or you can
call me five win three seven four nine one oh
seven one. If not, we'll move on because we're not
far off from the three things you need to know.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
To get your day started in Sincy. Either way is
fine with me.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
Shaboozi on Kiss one oh seven one. You know, not
long from not a couple months, you'll be watching him
perform right before you watch Carrie Underwood at the Voices
of America Music Festival.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
I love that song. All right, Hi, you're on TI
in the morning. Hey, Tim, It's Laura from Taylor Mental.

Speaker 4 (05:05):
I am in a like a makes relate religion or
not religion marriage.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
My husband is very.

Speaker 4 (05:15):
Stout atheist and I.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
Am actually in my last semester of seminary school.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
Wow, so you really have found a way to make
it work and compromise.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
He's so supportive.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
We have two kids together.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
He comes to you know, baptisms and first communions and
things like that, and he's just really awesome.

Speaker 4 (05:39):
Well.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
I love healthy habits, especially in relationships. That's one of
my favorite things to hear about. Do you have a
quick piece of advice for anyone that's listening right now
that might be going through something similar, that isn't having
a similar experience.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
Yeah, I think I think you got to have grace
and you got to understand that it's not your job
to convert them. Okay, okay, thank you so much for
the call. I love that. All right, cool, let's put
a little bow on it. We were just talking about
religion and dating.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
By the way, if you came in at the tail
end of that one, give me three minutes. We'll dive
into the three things you need to know to get
your day started.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
In Sincy.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
If someone handed you a smash burger, would you eat
it on a Delta Airlines flight.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
We'll get to that nex
