Speaker 1 (00:00):
Glenn.
Speaker 2 (00:01):
You need to know she's got you.
Speaker 3 (00:04):
It's three things with TIF.
Speaker 1 (00:07):
Good morning, Happy Friday. We have new music from Ariana Grande.
Give me a hot second though, or just before seven o'clock.
Right now, we're sitting in the fifties. We'll see Hi's
in the seventies today, but scattered rain from now until
pretty much Monday, depends on what time of day it is.
Speaker 3 (00:22):
All right.
Speaker 1 (00:22):
Before we get to Ariana Grande, let us start with
the Opening Day in Cincinnati. Now, unfortunately, game wise, the
Reds took the l to the Giants, and we always
think it's a bummer when the Reds lose the first
game of the season. However, the fanfare inside the game,
outside the game was just incredible. Here's Karen Fergus with
(00:44):
the Reds on the block party.
Speaker 4 (00:46):
First, as always, Opening Day is a high holiday in
this city and businesses, schools, everybody's out and about, which
is fun. And the block party where we've basically just
officially closed down the streets around the stadium so people
can just be down here and enjoy long before the gates.
Speaker 3 (01:04):
Open and bye.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
Let me tell you, by the thousands people were down
at the banks yesterday. It was just busy, no, and
it didn't matter what time of day it was. There
was a line around the block at like eight am
to get into the Holy Girl all the way until
late at night. For college basketball, overall, businesses felt successful.
The energy was high, people were happy, and you could
(01:28):
really feel that outside of the parade as well inside
the game.
Speaker 3 (01:33):
Chris Sabo.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
Throughout the first pitch there were tributes to Pete Rose,
and like I said, the Reds did end up taking
the l unfortunately, but we play again for kids opening
day tomorrow at four ten. All right, second, and three
things you need to know. Cincinnati did not get the
Sundance Film Festival here, and that news broke right before
opening day yesterday.
Speaker 5 (01:54):
Film Cincinnati President and CEO Kristin Schlottman with a statement saying,
while Cincinnati was noted to host the Sundance Film Festival,
we are proud of how our city demonstrated its dynamic
role in the industry. The statement says, even though the
festival chose a more familiar setting, Cincinnati has proven we
are ready to embrace what's new and we're excited to
lead what's next in the film industry. I'm Jack Crumley
(02:16):
News Radio seven hundred W ALLW my guy.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
Jack from our Sisters station. Is it bad that I
don't even care where it went? I don't even know.
I don't know what city they chose. I'm annoyed that
they didn't come here. And I think I'm even more
annoyed because of that Variety article that came out and
I quoted a bunch of it on the air yesterday.
But to sum it up, I mean, it was spicy,
and it was essentially like does anyone even know where
Cincinnati is?
Speaker 6 (02:40):
Like?
Speaker 1 (02:40):
In so many less words, So we didn't get it.
I think people are bummed about that. I myself am
bummed about that. I thought we would have been a
great fit. When there's more, If there's more, I'll have
it for you, all right. And then, lastly, in three
Things you Need to Know, we have new music from
Ariana Grande. She released another version of the Eternal Sunshine
deluxe album. This is called Brighter Days. I believe this,
(03:03):
this newer version of it. It's got five or six
new tracks on there. And this is one called twilight Zone.
Here's a Clip's strange.
Speaker 3 (03:17):
It's another.
Speaker 7 (03:19):
Miss you.
Speaker 8 (03:21):
Sometimes I'll just gid change the thing.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
At sometimes I'll just kid.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
I like it. It's called twilight Zone.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
That's new music from Ariana Grande off the newest version
of her deluxe album which just came out, and I'll
have more from her and new music Friday later on
in the show. That is the three things you need
to know over the twenty eighth of March. Coming up
ye at seven, Kiss one oh seven one will continue
with its banger brackets in the hunt to find Sincey's
(04:06):
biggest Banger chosen by you. When you make your bracket
at Kisscincinnati dot com, you are in the running to
win a pair of tickets to ten different concerts coming
to Riverbend this summer.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
So that's on the way. It's seven forty.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
Best way to keep listening is on the iHeartRadio app
search Kiss one oh seven one, so you don't miss it.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
You're waking up with fifth in the morning, Kiss one
o seven one.
Speaker 3 (04:25):
Good morning.
Speaker 1 (04:26):
So I met a celebrity down at the banks for
opening Day yesterday, and I don't.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
Know if I presented myself.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
Okay in rare form, have you ever met a celebrity?
If you've got a story to share it, talk back.
What tip on the iHeart radio app. I'd be curious.
The microphone is in the top right hand corner. If
you've ever met a celebrity and you know, what was
the situation, what was the scenario, because it's never how
you imagine it or picture it.
Speaker 3 (04:50):
Going right, And let's just chat about opening day.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
I understand like there are people that did not have
a chance or chose not to go down to the banks,
whatever the case may be, on that one. You know, work,
obviously it was a Thursday, and adults do you have
to go to work?
Speaker 3 (05:06):
Kids have to go to school.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
But then you might have been a part of some
of the thousands and thousands and thousands of people that
not only attended the game or didn't even step foot
in a Great American It felt like the banks was
packed from like eight o'clock in the morning until I'm
sure well into the evening. With March madness last night,
(05:27):
anywhere you went, anywhere you walked, it was nuts.
Speaker 3 (05:32):
The parade route looked full.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
I spent the first couple hours of the day inside
Holy Grail and shout out to Jim. Jim walked in
with a bottle of a bottle of fireball Jim owns
the place and handed me a bottle of chilled fireball
and said, go ahead, fireball fairy, go off and have
yourself a day, and let me.
Speaker 3 (05:53):
Tell you woo.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
I mean, my god, we were just out fireball shots strangers.
That's the camaraderie of Cincinnati, though, right. And then it
eventually led to me going down and joining John John
and some of our other friends and hosting at more Line.
And there's no better place to be an opening day,
I feel like than on the lawn of more Line
with somewhat nice weather. I mean it was mostly gray
(06:17):
towards the end of the day, but outside of that,
I mean, it was like a great day. And I
met Billy Hamilton kind of without knowing that it was
Billy Hamilton. If you're like a Red diehard Reds fan,
then you know who that is. If you're like me
and you just kind of usually use baseball for the
good vibes. I had no idea, and I was sitting
(06:39):
across from this man talking to him for quite a bit.
I just like introduced myself and he's like, I'm Billy,
and I'm like, well, hey, I'm Tiff, And you know
we're going back and forth, and then my friend Abby
comes up and she nudges me and she's like, you know,
that's Billy Hamilton, right, he played for the Reds.
Speaker 3 (06:55):
It was just hanging out on the lawn of more Line.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
People were coming up afterwards and taking pictures with him,
and at that point I was already in rare form
from being the fireball Faery and just the Dora cups
that never seemed to get empty. They never they never
go empty, they never run dry. Dora never runs dry.
And opening they always find someone that'll buy you a
beer or something.
Speaker 3 (07:16):
You know, everyone's share. There's just that's the camaraderie. Though.
Speaker 1 (07:19):
It was just such a good day and so I
kind of, you know, said I shared a lovely conversation
with Billy Hamilton. He was so kind and so nice,
and you know, I had just like a little low
key embarrassed because I didn't know who he was.
Speaker 3 (07:37):
And sometimes it's hard to tell athletes.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
You know who athletes are, right Like, if Leonardo DiCaprio
walked in front of you, you would most likely know
who that was. But athletes I didn't know. So I'm
a little embarrassed. Maybe you had a chance to meet
him yesterday too. Nicest guy so kind played for the
Reds I think back in like twenty and eighteen.
Speaker 3 (07:57):
But oopsies, let's talk about your opening day.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
I will shamelessly ask anyone listening in the city that
owns one of those medspots, right if you own one
or you know of one, I am borderline gonna walk
into our closest emergency room and ask for fluids. I
am so dehydrated, and like most millennials, if I don't
(08:21):
have six gallons of water every day, my body starts
to shut down. I don't know how the boomers survive
on black coffee and red wine, but I don't think
I had a sip of water after like nine o'clock
yesterday morning. So I am serious right now, if you
know of one of those ivy medspot places that does
the fluid, I am begging.
Speaker 3 (08:40):
You to share with me.
Speaker 1 (08:42):
And also I want to hear about your opening day
experience talk back with tiff on iHeartRadio. You can also
share maybe any celebrity encounters you had yesterday.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
I saw Ted Carris was bopping around.
Speaker 1 (08:52):
Everyone was out and about what did you see?
Speaker 3 (08:55):
What did you see that I missed? Good morning ooh,
that was us yesterday. Today maybe not so much.
Speaker 1 (09:01):
You're waking up with Tim in the morning on Kisuano said,
one commercial free. And we're about three or four minutes
away from your chance to play for a pair of
tickets to ten concerts at Riverbend this summer and our
Banger Brackets challenge, So don't go far. We're in the
midst of talking about celebrities and celebrity encounters you may
have had, and maybe even yesterday at opening Day.
Speaker 9 (09:21):
My friend's mom was head of marketing at a radio
station in Buffalo, so we've met tons of people at
concerts together when we were kids. Pitchycat Dolls, Good Charlotte,
and my most memorable was I met Jojo and she
was super nice. But we were in a bathroom backstage.
My friend and I were about ten, and she was
washing her hands and we just stared at her and
(09:41):
she was like, hi girls. We were kind of starstruck,
and she walked out and my friend said, she didn't
you soap? And she washed her hands and I'll never
forget that was so funny.
Speaker 1 (09:49):
Oh my god. Jojo the Icon. She wrote that breakup
song when she was like fourteen. The reason why we're
talking about this if you're just walking in to the
story of this morning, is I met Billy Hamilton yesterday
on the lawn, the lawn of more Line, and I
had no idea it was him, and you might not.
(10:09):
Maybe you know who he is, maybe you don't. He
played for the Reds. It was just hanging out. I
had a full conversation with him, and I didn't know
it was him until a friend of mine was like, hey,
by the way, you know he played for the Reds.
Speaker 7 (10:19):
I met Nick Cannon and he definitely thinks he's too
cool for school.
Speaker 3 (10:24):
And he's really short, like actually really short in real munch.
Speaker 8 (10:29):
I think he was shorter than me when.
Speaker 9 (10:30):
I met him.
Speaker 1 (10:31):
Okay, yeah, so you're sharing your celebrity encounters with me.
Thank you for the talkback with Tiff. When you search
kiss on the iHeartRadio app, the microphone is in the
top right hand corner if you want to chitchat on
this Friday, We've got time for one more happy Fridays.
Speaker 10 (10:46):
Back in nineteen ninety nine, I met Jennifer Love Hewitt
in an airport in Maui, and she was the kindest, sweetest,
most down to earth. Love person as she took a
photo with me, she signed an autograph, she chit chatted
with me for a minute.
Speaker 3 (11:06):
She was just absolutely lovely.
Speaker 10 (11:08):
What a wonderful human being. Yeah, that's my story.
Speaker 1 (11:12):
Well, thank you for sharing it with's Tip in the morning.
I appreciate that I was nervous that I didn't present
myself well yesterday because I was also the fireball ferry.
Speaker 3 (11:20):
Oh my god, all right, we're still commercial.
Speaker 1 (11:23):
Fore give me three minutes and we'll dive into bangor brackets.
Here your chance to play for a pair of tickets
to ten different concerts coming to Riverbend this summer.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
Don't go var Lynn. You need to know she's got you.
Speaker 1 (11:36):
It's three things with Tip MGK and Meghan Fox had
their baby. I'll get to that in a second. Good morning,
We're just before eight o'clock. At eight thirty, I have
your chance and your last chance on my show to
win Jonas Brothers tickets.
Speaker 3 (11:49):
I think the general on sale is today, so scoop
those up.
Speaker 1 (11:51):
Okay, before we get to Megan Fox, we obviously have
to start at Cincinnati's holiday yesterday. Unfortunately, the Reds did
take the eleganst the Giants in opening day However, there
was just so much more to the day. Of course,
the fan fared down at the banks and the block
party in the parade, celebrities were around, people were around.
(12:15):
It was just it was magical and the weather held
out for us. So my superstition remains true. I refused
to check the weather during big events. Speaking of celebrities,
Ted Carris was caught on the parade route.
Speaker 2 (12:27):
Typical city coming up showing out let's go, Let's go Reds.
Speaker 3 (12:32):
Yeah, just great.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
I was hosting a contest yesterday and they gave out
new Reds Ted Carris the Cincia hats.
Speaker 3 (12:39):
Everyone loves that I have had. I love the hats.
Speaker 1 (12:42):
Inside the stadium for all the of course Opening Day
pregame festivities and ceremonies. Rather, there was a tribute to
Pete Rose up on the jumbo tron.
Speaker 3 (12:54):
Here's a clip of.
Speaker 2 (12:55):
That for you for you.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
I know the quality was a little bit on that,
but I thought it'd be worth playing, he said. Baseball
capital of the World is the Queen City. So Reds
are off today. They play at Kids Opening Day tomorrow
at for ten second and three things you need to
know breaking news right in the midst of our opening
day celebrations. Yesterday, the Sundance Film Festival announced that they
did not go with Cincinnati for their twenty twenty seven film.
Speaker 5 (13:38):
Cincinnati President and CEO Kristin Schlottman with a statement saying,
while Cincinnati was not selected to host the Sundance Film Festival,
we are proud of how our city demonstrated its dynamic
role in the industry. The statement says, even though the
festival chose a more familiar setting, Cincinnati has proven we
are ready to embrace what's new and we're excited to
lead what's next in.
Speaker 3 (13:57):
The film industry.
Speaker 1 (13:58):
That's my guy, Jack Crumley from seven under WLWR sister
station over there. And is it bad that I don't
even care where Sundance chose. If they didn't choose us,
I have no idea where they actually what city they
actually went on. I'm annoyed, and I think it's all
stemming from that Variety article that I read on the
air yesterday. And to sum that up essentially was like
(14:21):
people were saying, like who people quoted in the article said, well, where,
like what's good?
Speaker 3 (14:25):
What about Cincinnati is good?
Speaker 2 (14:27):
You know?
Speaker 1 (14:28):
And there were a lot of opinions circulating around that one,
so they did not choose us all right. And then, lastly,
in three Things you need to Know, Megan Fox and
MGK had their baby. Now, this is Megan Fox's fourth kid.
She shares the first three with Brian Austin Green. We
don't really know the relationship status of MGK and Megan Fox.
Speaker 3 (14:49):
We know that he had cheated on.
Speaker 1 (14:51):
Her allegedly right from the episode of Call Her Daddy
where she sat down with Alex and talked about how
they were twin flames, etc.
Speaker 3 (14:58):
But I don't know the relationship status for them.
Speaker 1 (15:01):
The real tea out of this situation, though, is that
I think, are.
Speaker 3 (15:07):
These not even text messages?
Speaker 1 (15:09):
Their Instagram message exchanges between MGK and Brian Austin Green.
And if you didn't know this, Brian Austin Green is
Megan Fox's ex husband who she shares three kids with.
The screenshot is stop asking when our child is going
to be born you the Feds, quit calling TMZ, and
focus on that apology you owe me for speaking my
(15:31):
name in public. You chose the wrong one to mess with,
mister child actor. Go back to serial commercials, don't. I
think it's left a bad taste about MGK in people's
mouths because they're like, well, I don't know. Maybe this
is a conversation we have in our eight o'clock hour.
If you share a kid with someone and they're having
(15:53):
a baby with someone else, do you have the right
to know when their kid is being born? I would
assume Brian was like, hey, like, when's the kid coming? Like,
I'm you know, excited for you.
Speaker 3 (16:02):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (16:03):
It just feels like MGK is feeling a little guilty
about cheating on Megan Fox. That's kind of the energy
that I'm getting off of this.
Speaker 6 (16:10):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (16:11):
Maybe we'll table that. We'll talk about it coming up
in our eight o'clock hour. When you search kiss on
the iHeart Radio app, you won't miss that and your
chance to win Jonas Brothers tickets.
Speaker 8 (16:19):
Just learn a skill or develop a hobby, and do
not waste your energy on boys you're waking.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
Up with fifth in the morning.
Speaker 1 (16:26):
Hi, Kiss one one reds reds is the keyword you're
gonna need for the Jonas Brothers tickets. In about ten minutes, I.
Speaker 3 (16:38):
Almost lost it there for ot second. Oh boy, this
opening day got the best of me. Oh my god, Guys,
the Fireball Fairy. She was out and about yesterday.
Speaker 1 (16:52):
I realized that we all come in, especially on a
Friday after opening day, we all come into my show
kind of at different points. So we're talking about your
Reds Opening day's experience. If I missed anything, would you see?
How you know what was going on? I had an
awkward celebrity encounter town a more line, an awkward because
of me, because I'm an alien, because I'm the Fireball Ferry,
(17:12):
not because of him, Billy. I almost said, Billy McFarland,
my brain is short circuiting. But god, can you imagine
if Billy McFarlane, the guy that created the fire Festival,
came to Reds Opening today, No, Billy Hamilton him if
he didn't know this, he played for the Reds.
Speaker 3 (17:25):
I certainly didn't know that.
Speaker 1 (17:27):
And I had maybe a full like a full blown,
like five minute conversation with this man, and you know,
I eventually was like, you know, so what brings you
to Cincinnati? And he's like, well, I played for the Reds.
Speaker 3 (17:39):
And I'm like, cool, cool, cool, cool cool. I totally
knew that.
Speaker 1 (17:44):
I definitely knew that you'll have to love he played
in Like I think like twenty nineteen's would I googled
this morning?
Speaker 2 (17:50):
So?
Speaker 1 (17:50):
Have you ever had any celebrity encounters or did you
witness anything in Cincinnati that I missed?
Speaker 6 (17:55):
Yesterday I met Tracy Morgan on an airplane and I
was flying to Maui and my ex husband at the
time was this big, like six foot one, huge athletic
looking dude, and Tracy Morgan came out of the bathroom
in this little tight airplane.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
It was like, yo, soaping dog.
Speaker 6 (18:16):
And he went back.
Speaker 2 (18:17):
And my husband's like, Yo, what's up.
Speaker 3 (18:19):
It was really.
Speaker 6 (18:20):
Random, and then he went back into the back of
the plane with like ten kids and his wife.
Speaker 2 (18:25):
Oh God.
Speaker 3 (18:26):
Shout out to Betsy. You know what I loved about
this morning.
Speaker 1 (18:29):
Usually I talk to you guys about that talkback feature
on the iHeartRadio app. If you're a voice notes person,
the microphone is in the top righthand corner.
Speaker 11 (18:35):
But Betsy bypassed all that. She just DMed me a
voice note. I was like, I'll take it. I'll take
It's a great way to connect either way, all right.
If you've got a story to share, please do so.
Speaker 1 (18:46):
We're not far off from the three things you need
to know nope, nope, nope, nope again my brain is
short circuiting.
Speaker 3 (18:50):
No Jonas Brothers tickets.
Speaker 12 (18:52):
A thirty cause you're waking up with Tiff in the
morning on Kiss one O seven to one.
Speaker 1 (18:58):
Good morning, Happy Friday, open you have a keyword for me,
Red Congratulations your collar ten. You won the Jonas Brothers
tickets and you got the keyword.
Speaker 3 (19:09):
Heck yeah, heck yeah. What's your name when neighborhood? You
waking up with me? And Ida from Middletown?
Speaker 1 (19:14):
Iida, Thank you for listening to Tiff in the morning.
Speaker 3 (19:17):
No problem. I love listening to you in the morning.
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (19:21):
Tell me a little bit about your opening day yesterday.
Are you in rough shape or am I?
Speaker 2 (19:24):
Am?
Speaker 3 (19:24):
I holding down that team by myself?
Speaker 10 (19:26):
Ah?
Speaker 7 (19:27):
I love the Reds, but I've never been the opening
day just because I have kids and stuff.
Speaker 3 (19:32):
But our goal is to go next year for sure.
Speaker 1 (19:34):
Okay, okay, will you come find me and I'm usually
a fireball ferry.
Speaker 3 (19:38):
I'll have a shot for you and whoever it is
that you bring around. All right, awesome, I definitely will.
Speaker 1 (19:43):
Okay, right now, I don't want to talk about fireball though. Okay,
if you took an l on these tickets. We're done
with them on my show for the week. However, my
guy John John is going to hook you up this afternoon.
Tickets to go on sale for the general pub today
if you want to go see Jonas this November up
in Columbus. In the meantime, commercial free coming up into songs,
(20:08):
I have the three things you need to know to
get your day started.
Speaker 3 (20:10):
In Sincy. Ariana Grande has got new music.
Speaker 2 (20:14):
When you need to know, she's got you.
Speaker 3 (20:18):
It's three things with TIF one new music Friday.
Speaker 1 (20:24):
I'll get some new stuff for us here in a
hot sec But we're just before nine o'clock on this Friday.
Speaker 3 (20:31):
It got it's Friday, especially after yesterday. Oh my god.
Speaker 1 (20:34):
Temperatures are going to be mild in the seventies, but
scattered rain over the next couple of days. All right,
let's start off with Red's opening day. Obviously, I mean,
what a time. We ended up taking the l six
to four, not that I watched a single second of
the game, because the banks was just electric yesterday.
Speaker 3 (20:52):
The parade route looked full.
Speaker 1 (20:54):
The photos I'm seeing, like the aerial shots of the banks.
Speaker 3 (20:57):
It was just nuts. The energy was good.
Speaker 1 (21:00):
I hope you had a wonderful experience, depending on what
it is that you got yourself involved with. We obviously
saw Tito for the first time inside Great American and
I had already played some audio.
Speaker 3 (21:10):
But they did a.
Speaker 1 (21:11):
Tribute to Pete Rose Chris Sable throughout the first pitch,
and we're gonna hear from TJ. Friedel on his two
hits in an RBI on opening day.
Speaker 12 (21:20):
We were in it from pitch One's that's the biggest thing.
And it's baseball. You're gonna have days like today. But
you know that's game one of one sixty two. It's
a long season. It's nothing to dwell online. Right. We
were competitive, The energy was there, like you said we were.
We were in every bat, in every pitch. You know,
everyone did their part and sometimes.
Speaker 1 (21:38):
It's just baseball and kind of a bummer to take
an l one opening day, but he's right, it's a
long season. Second and three things you need Oh, by
the way, the Reds they're off today kids Opening Day
in the four o'clock hour tomorrow, all right, Second and
three things you need to know. The Sundance Film Festival
(21:59):
decided not to go with Cincinnati. Unfortunately, and this news
came out just like in the midst of our opening
day celebrations.
Speaker 5 (22:07):
Yesterday, Film Cincinnati President and CEO Kristin Schlottman with a
statement saying, while Cincinnati was not selected to host the
Sundance Film Festival, we are proud of how our city
demonstrated its dynamic role in the industry. The statement says,
even though the festival chose a more familiar setting, Cincinnati
has proven we are ready to embrace what's new and
we're excited to lead what's next in the film industry.
Speaker 1 (22:28):
That's my guy, Jack Krumley from our sister station seven
hundred WLW.
Speaker 2 (22:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (22:32):
I think there was a bad taste about Sundance because
of this Variety article that came out and the article
quote I read it yesterday, but the article quoted people's
opinions of Sincy and they were negative and it was
almost like have you ever been here?
Speaker 3 (22:48):
Like where what do you?
Speaker 1 (22:49):
I mean to each his own as far as opinion goes,
But Bomber, to be honest, I don't know if this
is bad journalism, but I don't even know where Sundance
decided to go instead of Sincy. I don't here I'm annoyed.
We'll see what happens with that one, all right. And
then lastly, in three Things you Need to Know, it's
new Music Friday.
Speaker 3 (23:07):
Do you mind if I play you a few songs?
Speaker 1 (23:09):
Because Ariana Grande released the next version of the Eternal
Sunshine Deluxe. I didn't think we were gonna get this
much new music from her since she decided she was
going to go on a little music hiatus.
Speaker 3 (23:21):
But there are five or six new songs.
Speaker 1 (23:23):
This is called twilight Zone and.
Speaker 7 (23:32):
Strange.
Speaker 3 (23:32):
It is another.
Speaker 7 (23:35):
Miss.
Speaker 8 (23:37):
Sometimes I'm skinned, change the thing.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
Sometimes skin.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
Is easy on the ears. That's twilight Zone, new from
Ariana Grande. If you've got time for one more, this
is a new one with Kesha and Tea Pain. It's
called Yippie Kayee.
Speaker 3 (24:18):
Kaye.
Speaker 1 (24:24):
Okay, a little a little jarring at the end there,
but I could see that being a fun one for summer.
That is three things you need to Know for the
twenty eighth of March. Next time we do three things,
it'll we're almost going to be.
Speaker 3 (24:36):
Like April one. April one of twenty twenty five is
around the corner. Oh. By the way, I gotta file
my taxes Okay.
Speaker 1 (24:43):
The best way to keep listening to Kiss one of
seven one is by searching us on the iHeartRadio app
Happy Friday.
Speaker 12 (24:50):
Kiss one of seven to one is celebrating Women's History
Month with another female owned local business.
Speaker 3 (24:55):
Good morning that We've.
Speaker 1 (24:56):
Been celebrating female entrepreneurs through the month of March, and
I'm excited to introduce you to Sydney and Maddie, who
are co owners of Bubbles and SuDS, our very first
dog grooming business on the show, located in Southgate.
Speaker 3 (25:11):
Good morning, ladies. More so Maddie, We'll start with you.
Speaker 1 (25:15):
How long did it take you from like, Ooh, I
had this idea to ooh, now the idea is in motion.
Speaker 3 (25:20):
I need the keys to the front door of my
dog room or place.
Speaker 13 (25:23):
So I'd say it probably took us around a year
from the time we thought about opening our business to
the time we actually opened it.
Speaker 3 (25:31):
But yeah, around a year. And how old are you, guys?
I'm twenty two, I'm almost twenty five. Wow, in your
young twenties.
Speaker 1 (25:39):
You're the second and third female entrepreneurs that I've talked
to this month about opening a business and starting a
business before you really have a ton of life experience.
If there is a gal listening right now that might
be in her young twenties, that's like, I think I
have this really cool idea, but all these butts come up, right,
But I don't have the experience, But I don't have
(26:00):
the money, but I don't have someone holding my hand.
But Maddie, let's start with you or Sydney with you
with as far as like advice that.
Speaker 3 (26:06):
You would give, Definitely do your research.
Speaker 7 (26:09):
It's it is stressful, and it's a lot to think about,
and it's a lot that goes into planning it, which
is why it took a full year. I mean we've
been in the business for at least five years and
we never really even thought about going on our own
because it is a lot to handle.
Speaker 3 (26:24):
But I mean, once you get all.
Speaker 7 (26:26):
Those little parts kind of situated and you have all
your research done, like when it comes to you know,
licenses and certifications you have to get and all that
to even open a business.
Speaker 3 (26:36):
Once you have it all down, do it dudeful.
Speaker 2 (26:38):
I know.
Speaker 1 (26:39):
I really want you guys to so your ladies to
speak to the age thing too a little bit, because
I think when we think business owners, we think are
well established adults in their adult life and you're like.
Speaker 3 (26:50):
Well, guess what not that not here? I am in
my twenties.
Speaker 1 (26:55):
So what would you tell a girl that was listening
right now, Maybe Maddie.
Speaker 13 (26:58):
I'd say, just because you're young, it doesn't matter that
you can't do it. I mean, both of us went
into this. We barely had any money on our bank account.
We did have a lot of support from our parents,
so that helped a lot, but we had a lot
learn a lot about occupational license and it helps that
we're young. I mean, we have all this technology and
we're so young.
Speaker 3 (27:18):
We know how to use it.
Speaker 13 (27:19):
We grew up with it, so we utilize the crap
out of technology.
Speaker 3 (27:23):
The system we use every day is very high tech.
I have to teach my mom about it every day.
Speaker 13 (27:29):
But it's definitely the most rewarding thing I think I've
done in my entire life. I mean, I'm graduating college
and I still think the business is more rewarding.
Speaker 3 (27:39):
That's good insight.
Speaker 1 (27:40):
So how do people find Bubbles and SuDS outside of
it being in Southgate?
Speaker 3 (27:43):
Do you have an Instagram account?
Speaker 7 (27:45):
Our Instagram is at Bubblesandsuds dot llc. And then we
have a Facebook page, which is just bubbles and SuDS.
Speaker 1 (27:51):
Okay, awesome, Well, thank you so much for coming in
and being a part of this.
Speaker 3 (27:54):
On TIF in the morning,
