Speaker 1 (00:00):
Because you're waking up with fifth in the morning.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Huh, kiss one seven one.
Speaker 3 (00:08):
I'm gonna resist the urge to talk about the weather
last night, although it was wet. In all plans that
I had scheduled for last night, I canceled.
Speaker 4 (00:19):
I became my dad.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
My dad when I was younger, anytime it was inclement weather,
he'd be like, you're going out, You're leaving the house,
and I would be like, yeah, Dad, it's raining.
Speaker 4 (00:32):
Now.
Speaker 3 (00:33):
I feel like I'm becoming him. So I hope you're
off to a good start on that front. Maybe you
feel the same way. I cannot wait to talk about this,
and we'll probably table it until we have a little.
Speaker 4 (00:43):
Bit more time in our seven o'clock hour.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
But Ed Shearon released old, old old photos from his old,
old old iPhone, and I'm in tears, in tears, there's
a wrong millennial connection to Facebook, obviously, since it was
really one of our first, big, big, big platforms. I
(01:07):
know that MySpace and others may have existed before it's time,
but Facebook was the one that really popped off. And
the rules of Facebook when we were in college there
were none. We weren't worried about filters. We weren't worried
about what the photo looked like. We weren't worried about
what we were doing in the photos. I mean, there
are some in your Facebook memories that probably have some
(01:29):
implications if they were reposted today, and you would upload
like anything and everything. You would just take forty photos
on that little camera that dangled from your wrist that
was pink, and then you would just direct to internet upload.
And every so often when I go on Facebook, actually,
when I say every so often, every morning I go
(01:49):
back to Facebook simply to check my memories, you're reminded of, like, Wow,
how nostalgic that was so Edechern essentially did the same thing.
He has this new song coming out called old Phone,
which will be on his latest album. I don't how
many details on the release, and he has just like
(02:10):
let them rip onto the internet. We're talking old Taylor Swift,
We're talking old Benny Blanco, Nile Harry Styles. I mean,
so many good ones from the mid two thousand's. We're
gonna talk about that a little bit more coming up,
maybe around seven ten ish this morning. I'll prompt you
by asking this, what was your most problematic Facebook album title?
(02:33):
What were you titling your Facebook albums when you were
uploading in college. Talk Back with Tip on the iHeartRadio
at microphone is in the top right hand corner.
Speaker 4 (02:42):
Coming up at six point fifty.
Speaker 3 (02:44):
We'll dive into the three things you need to know
to get your day started, and Cincy, I'm praying for you.
Speaker 4 (02:49):
See this Friday. I'll explain why.
Speaker 5 (02:50):
Next you're waking up with Tiff in the morning on
Kiss one O seven one.
Speaker 4 (02:55):
Well, good morning to you. All right, we're halfway through
the week.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
I'm slowly getting talkbacks on this, but not nearly as
much as I would hope slash like, so that leads
me to believe that you don't know that we're doing this.
Talkback for your grad is something John John launched while
I was on vacation, so we're kind of all catching
up to speed on the fact that we are hooking
(03:19):
you up for your graduation party. Graduating seniors from college,
high school. You can nominate yourself or or your parents
can nominate you and maybe they've embarrass you.
Speaker 4 (03:31):
I don't know, it depends.
Speaker 6 (03:32):
Benki, this is stephanitionn Er.
Speaker 3 (03:34):
I just wanted to talk about my graduate Mackenzie Gillen
she's graduating from the Criminal Justice program at Grant and
Bepplicate High School with honors. I love staying I'm going
to college. She's an amazing kid. I just I honestly
can't go on more about her, and she deserves the
party of a lifetime for graduation.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
Thank you, thank you, You're welcome.
Speaker 3 (03:57):
GA.
Speaker 4 (03:57):
Well, thank you for the talkback with Tiff.
Speaker 3 (03:59):
That's how you enter microphone top right hand corner of
the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 4 (04:05):
You hold that down.
Speaker 3 (04:06):
You can do exactly what she did. You can nominate yourself.
You can nominate your cousin. You can nominate We had
someone nominate their husband. He's graduating college like later in life.
Speaker 4 (04:15):
I loved that. I think I played that one on Monday.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
When you enter, you're automatically in the running to get
catering from hot Head Burritos. Kroger's gonna hook you up
as well, and then a little gifty from us to you.
You get tickets to Teddy Swims and that show. So show,
that show sold out wicked fast, like tickets are gone, gone,
gone for Teddy Swims this summer.
Speaker 4 (04:36):
So do it.
Speaker 3 (04:38):
Talk back with tif okay for your crad We're we're
hanging out a little bit longer. Your chance, Oh not
your chance? Hello?
Speaker 4 (04:45):
What hour is it? Six o'clock? Three things you need
to know coming up at six.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
Fifty when you need to know she's got you.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
It's three things with TIF. Good morning.
Speaker 3 (05:00):
There's no bigger troll on this earth than Mother Nature.
You see, I'm thinking of you. I'll get to that
in a hot second, but first, good morning. We're just
before seven o'clock on the final day of April five,
last day of April twenty twenty five. Don't blink because
you'll most likely miss it before we get to UC.
Let's start off with the updates from yesterday's shooting at
(05:21):
that Amazon facility in northern Kentucky.
Speaker 7 (05:24):
The public is say there's no other extent involving the subject.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
Is there's been.
Speaker 7 (05:31):
Like I said, he is deceased, and there's only only
he was involved. He is not associated with Amazon. I
will say that.
Speaker 3 (05:38):
That was Kentucky State Trooper David Jones on the scene
about twenty four hours ago, maybe around eight o'clock yesterday.
That news broke here in northern Kentucky. If there's anything
more on it.
Speaker 4 (05:47):
I doubt there will be. I'll have that for you.
Speaker 3 (05:50):
That's still very much under investigation at this point in
the morning. Second in three things you need to know,
let's chit chat about the weather. There is no bigger
troll on this planet than Mother Nature.
Speaker 4 (06:03):
Sometimes.
Speaker 3 (06:05):
I am praying for better weather predictions for Friday because
UC's got their graduation happening about seventy five hundred students
right now. It's scheduled to be outside, and they are
going to try to do everything that they can to
keep it there, unless weather doesn't permit it, then they'll
move it into fifth third.
Speaker 4 (06:22):
And if that's the case, unfortunately, no guests.
Speaker 3 (06:25):
Will be allowed, just graduates because of obviously the size
difference there. Yesterday we definitely had those big rainstorms, that
big cell move in right right like somewhere right before
seven o'clock last night, wind and rain. Some still without power,
but very few, and this is near Nku. They should
have that power restored. Some are around to eat forty
five this morning. The same thing will happen kind of
(06:50):
throughout the next couple of days. Here's Jennifer Ketchmark on
today's weather.
Speaker 8 (06:55):
Got a timing though of today's storms, so we're still
dry all morning long. Through noon hour, even into the
early afternoon. It's after five that we should start to
get into some scattered storms developing. But it's a very
brief window of opportunity. This could be done by like
ten o'clock when it comes to that severe weather threat.
So this is not one of those alarming severe weather days.
It's a slight risk.
Speaker 3 (07:14):
Okay, so not quite as intense as yesterday. The Reds
game was postponed. They're playing a double header at like
twelve something and then again at six ten tonight or
six forty tonight. I'll be at that Wednesday night game,
all right, and then so we will watch it for
you for Friday. I'm praying that mother Nature just comes
through when you're still able to have your graduation ceremony
outside you've seen and then, lastly, in three Things you
(07:37):
Need to Know, Nine Perfect Strangers season two trailer came
out on Hulu.
Speaker 4 (07:42):
Here's a quick clip for you.
Speaker 9 (07:44):
When your invitation came weal, he threw it out nine
people chosen on the bizarre circumstances.
Speaker 1 (07:50):
Well for a healing retreat.
Speaker 3 (07:52):
What feels like a set up.
Speaker 8 (07:55):
You bring me half for my money.
Speaker 3 (07:56):
I brought you here to heal David.
Speaker 4 (08:00):
Oh Cole kidman in it.
Speaker 3 (08:00):
Do you remember first season came out in twenty twenty one.
Here we are sitting in twenty twenty five. That's a
big chunk of time. Hits Hulu May twenty first. I
remember really liking that first season, so I'll definitely watch
that one when it comes out in a couple of weeks.
All right, that is three things you need to know
for the final day of April. I had mentioned graduation
(08:22):
with uc If you didn't know this, talk back for
your grad on the iHeartRadio app microphone top ray hand corner.
When you talk about your graduate, whether you nominate yourself
as a senior or your kid, maybe you want to
embarrass them. You are in the running to win a
catered graduation party by us hot head Burritos Kroger.
Speaker 4 (08:42):
So get in on that now.
Speaker 3 (08:43):
Okay, all right, seven oh five, we're commercial free and
we're going to talk about the old old things in
your iPhone. Ed Sheeran has released some gems. Oh, I
cannot wait to talk about the nostalgia.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
Next you're waking up, we.
Speaker 3 (08:59):
Slip the.
Speaker 4 (09:01):
Good morning. I know that spending money these days is
just like tightening up the melt here in there.
Speaker 3 (09:10):
But what is a recent purchase that you've made that
has brought you so much joy? Listening to Sarah Least,
good morning, Sarah.
Speaker 2 (09:17):
Good morning.
Speaker 3 (09:18):
Tell me about this Nikon camera that she bought for
her Instagram pictures and she took some photos at Great
American Ballpark the other night.
Speaker 4 (09:25):
Girl. It's not even as nice as a Nikon. Do
you remember the one that we had in college.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
Yeah, it was the pink cannon.
Speaker 4 (09:32):
It was it a cannon. Yeah, it's a cannon.
Speaker 2 (09:34):
I had the little pink case that went around my
wrists and I carried that things everywhere like a wrist legs.
Speaker 4 (09:40):
It just dangled.
Speaker 3 (09:41):
The Verer Bradley lanyard and the cannon, it just dangled.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
There are such millennials.
Speaker 4 (09:47):
I love it. I love it so much.
Speaker 3 (09:49):
But to this day, all of those pictures that were taken.
Speaker 4 (09:53):
Are really bad. One into that too, slightly incriminating. Yeah,
just went unhited. Gen Z. Just picture this.
Speaker 3 (10:04):
Imagine taking photos, not even looking at them, and just
uploading them straight to social media. No, no, edits just raw,
just raw.
Speaker 2 (10:13):
You plug the camera photos, yep, you plug it into
your little laptop or your desktop whatever, there's probably fifty
to eighty from a Friday night out.
Speaker 3 (10:22):
YEP.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
For me, it was at Brick Street and Oxford m
a Miami grad go RedHawks, and then you upload all
of them into one album title it something super cringe
lady that Brick and nobody really even really I don't
think anyone looked at them. Maybe my mom now goes
back and looks, but it was so bad.
Speaker 3 (10:44):
You would go back and I bet there'd be one
like on the album that didn't even matter, like Stid
doesn't matter.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
Yeah, And I remember when I got to Miami and
when I finally got that edu email address, I was
so excited just to have a Facebook, because you couldn't
have Facebook unless you were in college.
Speaker 4 (11:06):
And then they finally open it up and.
Speaker 2 (11:08):
They were like, okay, high school and eighteen and up,
and it's just we've come so far.
Speaker 4 (11:13):
I've come so far.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
But we've really seen the progression of social media, Like
as millennials, yes, we have imagine raw photos unedited.
Speaker 4 (11:22):
It's so cringe.
Speaker 3 (11:24):
Good morning that you were waking up with Tip in
the morning on Kissuan oh seven, when you're walking smack
dab in the middle of us talking about millennial nostalgia
on the show today, let's check your talkbacks.
Speaker 10 (11:36):
Morning tip.
Speaker 11 (11:37):
My millennial nostalgia thing is the pink Raser flip phone.
Speaker 4 (11:44):
Those those were literally.
Speaker 10 (11:45):
The best things ever and it was hot pink is perfect.
Speaker 3 (11:50):
But there's only there was only one. The motorola was
hot pink. I mean it did not. I mean there
might have been other colors, but it really was the
hot pink one that did it.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
So good.
Speaker 3 (12:00):
There is there anything more satisfying than closing a flip phone.
That's how we ended our calls. I never hit the end,
but I just like you just close, so satisfying. The
reason why we're talking about it, and I've played this
clip before on the show. Ed Sheeran released photos yesterday
from his old iPhone and they are true gems and
(12:25):
you can relate to them because they're like unedited that
we're doing like they're doing, like just weird stuff. Harry Styles,
Taylor Swift. There's so many if you haven't come across
these on the internet.
Speaker 4 (12:36):
And this is the reason why.
Speaker 9 (12:37):
So I switched my phone off twenty fifteen and left
it in a box, and then when I went through
that lawsuit, I've got my phone out again and had
to go through like all the voice notes and the
pictures and all that stuff for the lawyers, and I
switched on and it was like going into a time machine.
Like the first text was my friend that had passed
away the year before. The second text was like an
argument with an ex girlfriend. The third text was a
(12:58):
family member hadn't spoken to ten years. Full text was
an on the mate that died. And I was kind
of like scrolling down. It really really spun me out,
And that day I wrote in my notes like I
found my old phone today.
Speaker 4 (13:09):
Isn't that cool?
Speaker 3 (13:09):
If you haven't heard a clip of the song yet,
here's a clip here.
Speaker 9 (13:13):
It is for you messages from all my excess I
kind of think that this was best left.
Speaker 1 (13:22):
They're in the past way it belonged.
Speaker 9 (13:27):
I feeling overwhelming sadness of all the friends.
Speaker 4 (13:32):
I do not have left.
Speaker 9 (13:34):
It's good seeing I'm a family hass fracture, moving uphing,
moving all.
Speaker 4 (13:44):
I found my own phone today. I cannot wait for
that song to come out.
Speaker 3 (13:49):
There's no release date on it yet, and of course
I think it'll be a part of Ed Scheeran's new
album when he finally does give it to us, But
it had me thinking about what is in your old phone?
If you were to turn that thing on today, who
would be in there? What would be in there? What's
in your archive?
Speaker 4 (14:07):
Five?
Speaker 3 (14:08):
One, three, seven four nine one oh seven one. Or
you can talk back with Tiff on the iHeart Radio app.
Let's see what we get. Good morning, You're waking up
with Tiff in the morning on a Kiss one oh
seven one. I'm so, so so excited to filter through
some of these talkbacks this morning on the things that
you have on your old phone. We'll start off with
(14:28):
our first talkback, which had me in tears.
Speaker 10 (14:30):
Okay, this is really bad because this is from like
five years ago. But when I was on Tinder, I
would save certain voicemails and play them for my girlfriends.
And there's one still on there from a guy that
I went on one date with that left me I
love your life. No call me back.
Speaker 6 (14:50):
I don't understand. I love you.
Speaker 10 (14:53):
I know that's terrible, but it's so entertaining every time
I play it for my friends.
Speaker 3 (14:58):
Girl who is leaving voicemails even five years ago? Wow,
that is a true like that's archaic. You need to
hold on to that for forever. Thank you for the
talk back with Tiff. It's an alternative way to contribute
and it's an iHeartRadio app thing. If you listen to
my show, there microphone is next to the play Butte
you're The reason why we're even talking about this in
the first place is because Ed Sheeran yesterday just littered
(15:21):
the Internet with photos from his old iPhone from ten
years ago. We're talking oldies of Taylor Swift, Harry styles,
and they're so like millennial nostalgia because they're unedited. They're
doing like the weirdest things, kind of like how we
used to just upload a million photos to Facebook without
a care in the world, no editing, nothing. I love it.
(15:43):
So if you were to open up your old iPhone
or your old phone, what would be in there.
Speaker 6 (15:47):
One of my ex boyfriends and I sang the dream
song by the Everly Brothers and we just were drunk
and we just like recorded it and I pushed record
and he was like, sure, it's the first time we're
seeing this and he played his guitar and it's still there.
Speaker 3 (16:05):
Well, that sounds like an important memory to you specifically.
Speaker 6 (16:10):
Oh, i'd Charlie say, I have one with well, all
pictures of my kids are valuable, of course, but I
do have some celebrity photos. I used to be a
really well stillium, a really huge statute boys fan, and
I got to meet them, and so I've got that
photo on my phone. So if that went anywhere, I
(16:32):
would be devastated.
Speaker 4 (16:36):
I mean I would be devastated too.
Speaker 3 (16:38):
That's the one that you got to hang on to
for life, right, speaking of millennial nostalgia, All right, you
two can get involved in the conversation. It's funny that
we're talking about x's and stuff because I have been
going back through my Google photos and trying to clean
up some of my storage, and I keep coming across
(16:59):
pictures and videos. So the finance guy and I have
a really hard time with the thought of deleting them.
They used to make me wicked sad, but now they
make me smile when I look back, So I don't
think I want to get rid of them. Conversation for
another day, but I had a dream about him last night.
Oh my god, we are going down memory road.
Speaker 1 (17:19):
Rack your bye.
Speaker 11 (17:23):
Emyvie, you all bye, ride.
Speaker 4 (17:32):
A happy Wednesday.
Speaker 3 (17:36):
What is in your old phone.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
When you need to know? She's got you. It's three
good morning.
Speaker 3 (17:46):
Which a famous musician will have a horse in the
Kentucky Derby this weekend.
Speaker 4 (17:53):
Give me a hot sec good morning.
Speaker 3 (17:54):
We're just before eight o'clock on the final date of April.
Speaker 4 (17:57):
Stunning outside right now.
Speaker 3 (17:59):
Temperatures fairly cool this week with sunshine, but then scattered
rain kind of sprinkles in throughout the afternoons over the
next couple of days. Still kind of tracking the weather
for Flying Pig weekend, it will definitely be on the.
Speaker 4 (18:11):
Cooler side, all right.
Speaker 3 (18:13):
Before we get to horsing horse racing, rather, let's start
off with the Bengals stadium. Yesterday, Denis Streethouse here announcing
that they've reached agreement on some of these pay course
stadium upgrades to the tune of one hundred and eighty
five million in the first phase, and the NFL and
the Bengals will pick up the price tag for the
two thirds of that.
Speaker 12 (18:34):
I am in favor of this because it helps us
not only do these improvements and upgrades, but it also
helps us reduce the burden on the taxpayers. And so
I think this is again a new look for us.
It's unprecedented. Then, NFL has never done this before, and
the team is contributed in a way they've never done before.
Speaker 3 (18:53):
So we still need to sign the lease. Okay, that
has to happen, right. I think this is kind of
an in good faith thing. Taxpayers will pick up. US
have sixty five million from sales tax, So anytime you
buy something in Hamilton County that has sales tax, like
a car, that'll go towards the renovations, which will kick
off in January of twenty twenty six. I talked about
(19:13):
how Cincinnati did not fall on the list of dirtiest
cities in the US yesterday. This is a conversation we
had yesterday. But a lot of the cities that Bengals
residents go to visit and watch games did fall on
the list. So it's nice that we're upgrading the stadium
and we're also not dirty here. We offer nothing but
good experiences for fans that come into watch games. All right,
Second and three things you need to know. Rest in
(19:35):
peace to Toby Keith, but his legend will live on
at the Derby.
Speaker 4 (19:39):
One hundred and fifty first Derby.
Speaker 3 (19:40):
Is this weekend, and he has a racehorse running in well.
At least his company does render Judgment is the name
of the horse, and Toby Kiev has been to many.
Speaker 4 (19:54):
Derbys and he's.
Speaker 3 (19:55):
Worked with horse races for the last you know, two decades,
but this will be his first racehorse actually in the derby,
So look out.
Speaker 4 (20:02):
For him on television. Not him.
Speaker 3 (20:03):
I'm sorry, render Judgment when you do watch this Saturday.
And then lastly, in three Things you Need to Know
this morning, we have a new movie from Dwayne the
Rock Johnson which could potentially lead to an oscar for him.
Speaker 4 (20:16):
Here's a clip of the trailer. Well have you ever
heard of the Ultimate Fighting Championship the UFC.
Speaker 3 (20:27):
Ooh, that's the bloody thing they're trying to bang. He
doesn't even look like himself. I had to google who
the actor was. I was like, I think this is
the Rock. He's playing Mark Kerr, who's known as the
Smashing Smashing something.
Speaker 4 (20:42):
And it comes out in October. Looks very very good.
Speaker 3 (20:47):
Good morning, you're waking up. It's Tim in the morning
on Kissuano seven. One Wow would a banger from Jojo?
I say this all the time, but she wrote that
when she was like fourteen years old, and no truer
words stand true to this day. Who knew a fourteen
year old could write such an iconic breakup banger.
Speaker 4 (21:04):
How are you hopefully off to a good start.
Speaker 3 (21:06):
We're commercial free for the rest of the the rest
of the hour, so good timing on your part. Maybe
I'm a part of your regular routine, or maybe this
is the first time you're listening. Just a reminder you
can always search kiss on the iHeartRadio app. To be
a part of everything we do outside of music. We've
got content, conversation, all of the above. I'm going to
check a talkback or two while we're sitting here.
Speaker 1 (21:27):
More on Tiffany. This is Hunter, your truck driver, a friend,
Hun Just to let you know the only good thing
about Cincinnati Traffy is being able to listen to you.
I appreciate that.
Speaker 4 (21:37):
Have a great Dave you too, my friend.
Speaker 3 (21:39):
Thank you for the talk back, and thanks for listening
to me in the trucks.
Speaker 2 (21:42):
Tiff in the trucks, I listen every morning.
Speaker 9 (21:45):
You know.
Speaker 3 (21:45):
We got truck drivers out here all right, commercial free?
Like I said, two songs for now. Are you smarter
than a third grader?
Speaker 4 (21:52):
I don't know. We'll put you to the test next.
Speaker 1 (21:55):
You're waking up fifth in the morning.
Speaker 4 (21:57):
H kiss, good morning.
Speaker 3 (21:59):
I get ready to play along in uh some tiff trivia?
Tiff triv Are you smarter than a third grader? Or
are you smarter than a fifth grader? God?
Speaker 4 (22:09):
I hope so, I hope so too.
Speaker 3 (22:11):
Rickucino, you'll recognize his voice. He comes on my show
from time to time, but he's also an anchor at
seven hundred wlw R sister station. If you're just joining this,
it's kind of like a two part thing from yesterday.
I had mentioned that my oldest brother told me that
he is going to homeschool his kids next year in Massachusetts.
Speaker 4 (22:30):
God love them, I know, geez.
Speaker 3 (22:31):
And we had kind of gone back and forth a
little bit about it. I'm super naive to it, so
I needed a little bit of like, I don't know
how to like approach this, But ultimately my question was like, Greg,
are you literally smart enough?
Speaker 12 (22:45):
Right?
Speaker 5 (22:45):
Do you have the yeah? Do you have the educational
chops to be able to like I feel like with
my kids, I'm good with like, you know, common sense
and you know, being a decent human being, things of
that nature. Try as best I can. With emotional stability,
I'm genuinely nervous about helping with homework.
Speaker 4 (23:04):
Exactly like the core math. Who are you like?
Speaker 5 (23:07):
Okay for the math aside, because I was always bad
at math, but now this new math, no, forget it.
But like, it's just a lot of stuff. You know,
I haven't touched since I was in that grade, So
how much do I actually remember?
Speaker 3 (23:20):
So let's play. Let's play are you smart than a
third grader? Let's get some game show music going here?
In TIFFs trivia, we'll start with third grade. Here we go,
coming in at question number one. What item did Alexander
Graham Bell invent a the telephone? Be the gramophone or
see the twisted layer?
Speaker 5 (23:41):
Well it would have been the telephone.
Speaker 3 (23:43):
Congratulations, you got question number one. We're off to a
good start. Okay, much easier with it being multiple choice.
What do caterpillars turn into a butterfly? B moths or
sea dragonflies?
Speaker 5 (23:57):
It's a butterfly and that's actually a stage called metamorphosis.
So there you go. There's a little bonus for it.
Speaker 4 (24:01):
Look at you. Okay, here we go.
Speaker 3 (24:04):
What is the place value of the three in the
following number one thousand, three hundred and eighty four Is
it one to ten or one hundred hundred, Rick, you
are in fact smarter than a third grader.
Speaker 1 (24:19):
God, you're waking up fifth in the morning. Kiss one
good morning.
Speaker 3 (24:25):
I don't know what this says about me and the
age that I might be or entering into. I guess
that's to say I shouldn't say age, just and say
I don't know what this says about the season of
life I'm entering. But why is it that I get
so excited over a grocery store. We're talking about the
(24:46):
newest gem coming to Cincinnati, and you too might be
familiar with Dorothy Lane, Miss Dorothy. I experienced Dorothy Lane
like one time. Isn't the store closer to Dayton? I
have no reason to go up there, But when I
was coming home from a field hockey game if you
didn't know that I coached for Ursuline, I saw this
(25:08):
Dorothy Lane Market and it was late at night and
they need a little snack. Let me tell you about
the adventures of Dorothy Lane. Oh my god, it is
so good, and we have a brand new one coming
to Mason.
Speaker 11 (25:20):
Grocery Chaine, moving on south closer dis Cincinnati. Dorothy Lane Market,
based in Oakwood near Dayton, is set to open their
fourth location in Mason this summer. Tuesday's update from the
company added the Mason store will add around three hundred jobs.
It's the second store in Warren County, following Springboro's opening
in two thousand and two.
Speaker 3 (25:39):
I'm ready to go. That's my guy, Lee Mallin from
seven hundred WLW. Whenever I see a clip in our
system from him, I know it's going to be good.
Sometimes it's bad news, but I know that the clip
is going to be good. Dorothy Lane has someone who
lives near Dayton. Please do a better job of explaining
this because I've only gone once. So five three, seven,
(26:01):
four nine, one oh seven one. Again we're talking hidden
gems and sincy and maybe you have a different hidden
gem than the one that I've landed on this morning,
and you're also welcome to share those. But I just
remember there being like fresh foods, and of course it's
a grocery store, so yeah, that's an obvious thing, but
like good hot bar, good sandwiches, the sushi looked gourmet.
(26:27):
The overall lighting of the grocery store I remember being
very like good flowers, plants.
Speaker 4 (26:34):
What does this say about me?
Speaker 3 (26:36):
I have gotten so excited about random food chains in
the last couple of weeks. I don't know who I'm becoming.
Wah wah was one of them. Well, wa are we
doing with our lives? Why do I get so excited
about the grocery store BUCkies? Another isn't that thing's supposed
to come this summer or maybe even next?
Speaker 4 (26:52):
And now we have Dorothy Lane.
Speaker 3 (26:53):
Someone please do a better job of explaining this, or,
like I said, if you have a hidden gem that
you want to share five three seven, four nine, one
oh seven one, or talk back with Tiff. Good morning, Andy.
You're waking up with Tiff in the morning on Kiss
one oh seven one. We're talking about hidden gems in Sinci.
There's a new one coming here this summer. If you
(27:13):
didn't know, I'll get to that in a second.
Speaker 2 (27:15):
You guys are talking about food or local businesses that.
Speaker 1 (27:19):
Are really good, like headed Gems. And I work in
Norwood near Rookwood, and.
Speaker 7 (27:25):
There is a pastry slash bakery shop slash. I don't
even know.
Speaker 1 (27:29):
It's called Paris Baggett.
Speaker 6 (27:31):
It is so delicious, the food is so fresh, it's
so good.
Speaker 1 (27:36):
I love it.
Speaker 4 (27:37):
Try it.
Speaker 12 (27:38):
They have one in downtown and then one in Norwood,
but the Norwood one.
Speaker 1 (27:41):
They said, is easier to access.
Speaker 3 (27:43):
Oh yeah, Gal, thanks for the reminder. I forgot that
one was in Rookwood. And thank you for the talk
back with Tiff. It's just an alternative way to get involved.
Microphone is in the top right hand corner when you
search kiss on the iHeartRadio app. I don't know why
I have become obsessed with grocery stores lately. Did you
know that a Dorothy Lane is coming to Mason. They
have one near us kind of near us, like in Dayton,
(28:05):
and I've gone in one time. Haven't forgotten about it
was over a year ago, can't let it go. And
when they said it's coming this summer, I was like,
we ride at dawn, let's go. If someone said to me, hey, hey, TIF,
there's a new club coming to Cincinnati, brand new.
Speaker 4 (28:24):
It's gonna be up until four in the morning.
Speaker 3 (28:26):
We're gonna have major DJs like Steve Aoki come through.
We're gonna have bottle service. Hell, we might even put
a pool in. And then someone said, immediately after, but
there's this new grocery store.
Speaker 4 (28:37):
Chain coming to Cincy. I'd probably go with the latter.
Speaker 3 (28:40):
I don't know what this says about me in this
stage of life, but I live for a good grocery
store experience. Yes, we're talking hidden gems and Cincy. Feel
free to jump in on the conversation if you want that.
Dorothy Lane is coming this summer. Shout out to my
friend Ben, who's listening right now. He texted me and said, dude,
(29:01):
it is as good as you remember it. So and
there'll also be some summer jobs available. That was another thing.
Lee Mauor from seven hundred Wow said it's going to
add about three hundred jobs, So looking forward to that,
I'm sure.
Speaker 4 (29:11):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (29:12):
Coming up two songs from now, we'll dive into the
three things you need to know to get your day
started in Sinci. How much does Alex Earl get paid
for a single social media post?
Speaker 1 (29:24):
Do you?
Speaker 3 (29:25):
Could?
Speaker 4 (29:25):
You even guess? I'll get to that next, Lenn.
Speaker 1 (29:28):
You need to know she's got you. It's three things
with tip Good.
Speaker 3 (29:34):
Morning, a new concert alert, WoT give me a hot set.
We're just before nine o'clock on this final day of April,
Happy Wednesday.
Speaker 4 (29:42):
Rent is due, so I have your chance to win
a thousand bucks.
Speaker 3 (29:44):
Coming up at nine oh five Before we get to
the concert, let's start off with pay Course Stadium, with
Denise dree House yesterday talking about the fact that we
have officially, I guess I unofficially, we are moving forward
with the first phase of renovations at pay Court to
(30:05):
the tune of almost two hundred million dollars in phase one.
Speaker 12 (30:08):
I am in favor of this because it helps us
not only do these improvements and upgrades, but it also
helps us reduce the burden on the taxpayers. And so
I think this is again a new look for us.
It's unprecedented. The nine NFL has never done this before,
and the team is contributed in a way they've never
done before.
Speaker 3 (30:27):
OK, we're looking forward to it. As far as cost goes,
you heard two thirds of it will be picked up
by the NFL and the Bengals, and then about sixty
five million will be picked up by taxpayers like us
with sales tax. Renovations go into effect January of twenty six.
I believe we still have to sign the lease, but
(30:48):
I think this is a good in good faith thing.
Speaker 4 (30:51):
So update on that for you when there's more. You know,
I'll keep you in the loop.
Speaker 3 (30:54):
Second in three things you need to know a major
concert announcement. Sean Paul and Whiz Khalifa are co headlining
with special guests The Baby at Riverbend this coming July.
Job John's can't jiggen and can't jigging get punked.
Speaker 1 (31:12):
Up to day.
Speaker 3 (31:18):
There is gonna be nothing better than a sweaty July ninth.
I'm sorry, sweaty July night at Riverband listening to Sean
Paul right, you can yo, y'all. Just that's probably my
(31:41):
favorite Sean Paul's song ever. Go on one, We're gonna
be sweating. We're gonna be sweating our buns off July twelfth,
Like I said, at River Bends Whisky. If you're gonna
be there as well, Yeah, you know what it is
like in yellow back and yellow back and yellow back
(32:03):
and yell.
Speaker 11 (32:06):
You know what it is.
Speaker 3 (32:07):
I know we're not Steelers fan, so I don't know
how well that song will go over at Riverbend, and
you might have to change that to black an orange.
But there'snna be a lot of aza, a lot a gap,
a lot of aiza, a lot of grass in the air,
a lot of gardening. If you're picking up what I'm
putting down, all right, tickets on sale for that May
(32:31):
second this Friday. Oh my god, I'm already it May.
That's nuts, all right. Lastly, and three things you need
to know? How much money? The New York Post put
this out. How much money does Alex Earl, who is
a social media influencer make per Instagram story? Can you
get a guess in your head? It's monopoly money to me?
(32:51):
Four hundred and fifty thousand dollars. Who four hundred and
fifty thousand per Instagram story? And now I'm not to
say that that job isn't hard, it's it's you know,
being a social media content creator is just a different
world than the one. And of course I have to
do it myself for this job, but doing it full time,
(33:14):
you know, I don't know if I necessarily envy those
people other top influencers. If you're wondering a lot of
soccer players. Messi makes to two point five to nine
million per posts to his five hundred million followers. Selena
Gomez is still up there at two point fifty five
million dollars per post for her almost five hundred million followers.
Kylie Jenner is a famous one at two point three
(33:36):
eight million dollars per post, and Christianado Christian Christiano Ronaldo
makes the highest at three point two three million per post.
That's nuts. I don't have that monopoly money for you,
but what I do have is one thousand dollars that'll
help with the rent nine oh five.
Speaker 4 (33:53):
We're gonna pay your bills on Kiss.
Speaker 3 (33:55):
The best way to keep listening is on the iHeartRadio
app Good Morning.
Speaker 1 (33:58):
You're waking up the good Morning.
Speaker 3 (34:02):
Number one thing that moms want for Mother's Day, voted
on by moms, and you got about a week and
some change to figure it out. Some of this can
be free is a nap, Mom's we kind of get
you some arrest girl. That's the number one thing that
moms want from Mother's days, a nap. You know, I've
(34:22):
got several moms in my life. Of course, only one
of them is my blood. And then I've got lots
of girlfriends who are mothers, and without fail, every year
I get calls or text messages from any one of
them complaining about Mother's Day. It just is always I
don't I just feel like.
Speaker 4 (34:40):
I don't know, like it's not enough. It's good.
Speaker 3 (34:45):
If I don't know, how do you make up for
everything in just like one day right, one day's worth
of love. It feels forced. The dad doesn't know what
to get. She wants a nap. Where does she want
to nap? Here at the top three places coming in
a number one is a hotel room giving her the
best quality sleep.
Speaker 4 (35:03):
I mean, who doesn't love a hotel nap.
Speaker 3 (35:05):
Sheets are cool, temperature is regulated, Netflix is on. She
wants a hotel nap. If she can't get that, she
wants a nap on the beach. Second best place voted
on by moms to take a nap, and you and
I can agree whether you're face down on the sand
and you like carve out a little spot for yourself,
or you're in a beach chair. Last place that moms
(35:26):
enjoy taking a nap is a spa. And I do
know what it's like to kind of doze off during
a really nice facial.
Speaker 4 (35:32):
You try hard to stay awake.
Speaker 3 (35:34):
But that head spa, by the way, the Japanese head
spot Omega, I've had her on. Those are the three
best places to take a nap, and those are the
things that moms want for.
Speaker 4 (35:45):
Mother's say, According to this voted on by mothers, what.
Speaker 1 (35:48):
Do you mean you're going out tonight.
Speaker 4 (35:50):
I thought you were having dinner with us. That's all
I'm asking for one night with your mother a mother's side.
Speaker 3 (35:55):
It's too much to ask you talk like that to
your mother and mother's say nice.
Speaker 1 (36:03):
Oh my god, you're waking up with Fifth in the
morning kiss.
Speaker 4 (36:09):
Ooh, I love that song.
Speaker 3 (36:11):
You can always count on me for good music here
when you get up with Ti Fit in the morning
then and some cool stuff. So May sixth is Mountain
dew Day. Thanks for our friends at G and J PEPSI,
you have a chance to win AJR tickets. AJR fell
within the top three concerts for me personally, at least
in Sincion twenty twenty four. I loved seeing AJAR, so
(36:33):
having a chance to send you to see them will
be such a cool experience for this summer. If you're wondering, okay,
how do I get in on it? You don't have
to do anything right now. Just you're just kind of
warning you of what's coming up on May sixth for
Mountain dow Day. All right, I hope you're off to
a good start. Mother nature has been a little Sho's
(36:54):
been a little moody the last couple of days, but
it looks.
Speaker 4 (36:56):
Like it's going to be a sunny one out there.
Speaker 3 (36:58):
I'm praying for you See graduates and anyone else that
happens to be graduating this Friday or even this weekend,
that she kind of gets her act together before then,
because I know you See is trying desperately to have
the graduation outside like the intended so guests can come.
But if they end up having to move it into
fifth third sh it'll be a little bit of a
bummer because guests won't be able to go.
Speaker 4 (37:19):
So outside of that, I hope you're enjoying your day.
Speaker 3 (37:22):
If you and I are not connected yet, I'm at
the TIF to F's Potter Like the Wizard and we'll
be back tomorrow for the Thursday show starting at six am.
Have a great day, and thanks for making me a
part of your regular routine. I appreciate that
