Speaker 1 (00:01):
When you need to know she's got you. It's three
things with tip on just when I was seven one.
All right, good morning, good morning. Which major artist broke
a major record this week? And I'll have that for
you in a hot second. We're just before seven o'clock
on the fifth of Monday. By the way, it's Met

(00:21):
Galladay and it is five five twenty five. I'm not
even gonna touch base with the weather because it's just
overall annoying today, but there's a chance of scattered showers
yet again in our future. All right. Before we get
to that major record, we obviously have to start off
with the tragic news that happened Thursday into Friday. And
I'm sure by now there's a good chance you heard
about it. But what we learned late last night was

(00:43):
that the fallen officer has been identified. We found out
his name is Leary Henderson. According to the Sheriff's Office.
Henderson served for thirty three years with the Hamilton County
Sheriff's Office beginning back in nineteen ninety one, retired and
then seemingly kind of just jumped into like a police
detail to help with U see traffic for graduation on Friday,

(01:04):
where he was hit and killed in the line of duty.
If you're kind of like, WHOA, back up, what's going on?
How did this even happen? Just in case you haven't
scrolled past this yet. On Thursday morning, we have to
backtrack to Thursday, Ryan Hinton, eighteen years old, had been
shot and killed by police. Okay, Friday morning comes. Hinton's parents,

(01:29):
including Rodney Hinton, went to the police office. I'm assuming
that the Sheriff's department to review the bodycam footage of
what happened. Was explained, here's the situation, Here's what's going on.
I'm assuming Rodney Hinton in that moment is like, my
son is dead because you killed him, regardless of what
Ryan Hinton was involved in. Leaves the Sheriff's department, drives

(01:52):
through UC's campus, sees Larry Henderson plows him over with
his vehicle. Tragic, tragic. He's obviously been arrested. He's moved
from Hamilton County to Claremont County for his safety. His
bond hearing is tomorrow. When there's more on that one,
I'll have it for you. His badge is being retired
as of today, I believe and Governor Mike DeWine has

(02:15):
announced that all flags will fly at half.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
Our deputy had just retired just a few months ago
and continued on in service as a special Deputy. With
all of his experience. We were incredibly glad to have
him hamblin.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
That was Charmiane mcuffey. When there's more on that, I'll
keep you posting. Second and three things you need to know.
Lady Gaga huge announcement. Estimated two point five million people
came to see her sing, and it is the biggest
crowd for any woman in history. And it was a
free concert at Cococabana in Brazil. By the way, the
second largest artist to do that was Madonna with one

(02:52):
point six million. The crowd looked massive, like unbelievable to
see that many people there. Here's a quick clip of
what it sounded like with that. Police did announce that
their authorities and suspects were a part of a plan

(03:17):
to bomb that Lady Gaga concert with Molotov cocktails, but
they were stopped. So thankfully tragedy did not happen at
that venue because there's a very good chance that it
could have. Lastly, a congratulations to sovereignty winning the Kentucky.
Derby is on the whole because they very for home
and sovereignty.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
It's coming with him.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
And then outside, we're two weeks away from the Belmont Stakes.
I wonder if you won big this Saturday. That is
three things you need to know for the fifth of May.
