Speaker 1 (00:00):
Because you're waking up with fifth in the morning.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
Good morning, to catch you up to speed. My brother
Max is visiting me from Atlanta, so you'll hear the
voice of someone new on my show. Good morning, Max,
Good morning. Overall thoughts on Cincinnati. I always like to
give you a little.
Speaker 1 (00:15):
I love it. It's been a great time, short trip, but
enjoyed it.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
Okay, eighteen years ago today, this one thing premiered that
we use every single day, every day, every day multiple
I'm looking at it right now. It doesn't always hold
a charge, but when you get a new one, it
does hold a charge. And that is none other than
the iPhone, which is wild to think about.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
Crazy.
Speaker 2 (00:42):
It first premiered at four gigabytes or eight gigs of storage.
How much do you have in yours?
Speaker 1 (00:51):
Now you have.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
To bring the microphone to your mouth and talk louder.
I warned you about this, Max, I said, I'm going
to shut your mic off if you don't talk louder.
He's got It's like talking to a mouse. We started
this thing at four gigs, in eight gigs, and now
mine has to have at least two hundred and plus.
I just bought the iPhone sixteen I'm looking at the
sixteen one came out eighteen years ago, which means that
(01:15):
almost pretty much every year we've gotten a new iPhone. Also,
the old one had a two megapixel camera, two megapixels
Safari web browser. Are you a Safari? You use Safari?
I do? I'm Google all the way, baby, you know
it's I think Android gets a bad rap. I was
(01:36):
an Android user for a hot second in my life,
and everyone knows that the camera and the Android is better.
I use a lot of Google products on my iPhone, Gmail,
Google Maps.
Speaker 1 (01:46):
You use Apple Maps, don't you? Yes?
Speaker 2 (01:48):
I I can't.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
I use Ways. I'm a ways guy guy.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
I would say it on Google Photos. I tend to
use a lot and built in iPod functionality. Now it's
all wireless. It was also the error two when the
iPhone would give you the charger, the charging brick, and
a pair of headphones. Yeah, and now they give you
(02:14):
nothing a prayer, not even they're like you need us,
we don't need you. Do you remember the first iPhone
that you had and what number you came out of?
Speaker 1 (02:23):
The three gs in middle school? I think I made
that transition from from Android to iPhone three gs.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
I was I can't even remember what number, but I
do remember the back of it was blue. When they
started adding adding colors, I see was it was?
Speaker 1 (02:42):
How did you know that color? Because I had the
baby blue.
Speaker 3 (02:45):
That's right, the baby blue iPhone five C that was
one of my favorites. I just graduated from the iPhone
twelve Mini to upgrade to the sixteen.
Speaker 1 (02:55):
Yeah, that's a that's a huge upgrade.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
And uh, you know, and it took about one thousand
dollars out of my bank account.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
That just shows the quality though how long they lost
If you really take care of it. I think I
had my XR for six years, five years. Truly take
care of that phone.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
It'll last eighteen years ago today, we I mean, life
was changed and we knew it at two hundred and
seventy thousand units. By the way, it was the first one.
So I couldn't even tell you how many iPhones are
being purchased now, but I do know that anytime I
go into the mall, they try to fix it for me.
