Speaker 1 (00:01):
When you need to know she's got you. It's three
things with tip. Good morning.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
So Jamar Chase signed a new sponsorship, and you better
believe that him and Joe Burrow had conversation about it.
Give me a hot second. We're just before seven o'clock
on the fifth of September. We're sitting at fifty five degrees,
mostly sunny, HIGs in the seventies. It'll be great tomorrow
and then the sun returns for Sunday with highs at
seventy one degrees. Okay, So it broke yesterday that Jamar
(00:31):
Chase is the first man in the NFL to sign
with Fabletics. Now, when I think of Fabletics, I think
of Kate Hudson. I think Kate Hudson was the one
that originally started this brand like decades ago. They've had
partnerships with Chloe Kardashian and others that Kevin Hart is
an investor in Fabletics, and Jamar Chase is now the
(00:54):
new face of the product, which from what I know
of fabees is that they've they do box subscription services
where it's like, you know, you pay membership fee and
then you get two leggings for like twenty dollars or
something like that. I don't know if they've since improved
from that model, but they do, if I'm not mistaken,
have a location inside the Kenwood Town Center.
Speaker 3 (01:16):
Now.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
Jamar Chase just posted ads with Nike as early as
like March of this year, so I don't know what
the deal was with the transition of that contract, but
you better believe that he had conversation with Joe Burrow
about it.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
Why not.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
Joe Burrow is now the facer has been the face
rather of ALO, and it seems like athletes are moving
towards different types of Like I wouldn't call them type
B brands, right, but Fabletics is definitely not a Nike.
Alo is definitely not a Nike, although ALO has grown
(01:50):
tremendously in the last three years, and you're just wondering, like,
where do they have the money. I didn't think that
Fabletics had Jamar Chase money. Jamar you know, signed that
contract extension earlier this year, making him like the second
highest paid and the first highest paid outside of a quarterback.
So be in the lookout for, you know, more information
(02:10):
about Jamar Chase with the fablet X. All right, second,
and three Things You Need to Know is still in
the same vein as the NFL.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
The NFL is back in full force.
Speaker 2 (02:20):
The Eagles played the Cowboys last night, ended up taking
the win, but the big moment from the game was
Jalen Carter getting ejected for spitting on Dak Prescott.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
Here's a clip d Waltz there in front of Dak Prescott.
Did he spit? Did he spit on him?
Speaker 4 (02:39):
Think he did?
Speaker 2 (02:42):
Then later on I didn't watch the game in real time,
but later on I think Dak Prescott was the first
person to spit.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
Was the person that spit first. I don't know. I
just I.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
Couldn't even tell you the last time, if anytime I've
ever spit on someone. Other notable moments, the Chiefs are
playing in Brazil tonight, I believe, and that our very
own Bengals return for the season on Sunday at one
o'clock against the Cleveland Away before they make their home
opener next weekend. All right, then, lastly, in three Things
(03:17):
You Need to Know this morning, let's talk about I
really wanted to get into new music Friday with Justin Bieber,
but unfortunately he didn't put out the album until three
point thirty this morning, so I am still digesting it.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
It's in total twenty two songs.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
Let's table that until seven point fifty when we do
new music Friday, and then we'll do a big thing
about Justin Bieber, because I think it's worth noting. Georgia
Omani passed away and that broke as the show is
ending yesterday around ten o'clock, so we'll make that our
final thing in three things. Legendary, the Italian fashion designer
The Fashion House, announced that they have infinite sorrow, saying
(03:54):
he passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones at
his home. He was born on Jeely eleventh, nineteen thirty
four in Italy. Of course, he founded the Fashion House
back in nineteen seventy five after selling their Volkswagen Get
This for ten thousand dollars.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
What a career.
Speaker 2 (04:15):
He worked until he was ninety one years old, and
the man.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
Was glowing until the day he died.
Speaker 3 (04:21):
A lot of.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
Bronze skin on that man are That is Three things
you need to know for the fifth of September. On
the way we're gonna be commercial free at seven oh five,
and the best way to keep listening to the TIF
in the Morning is search Kiss on iHeart Radio Happy Friday.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
I love that song.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
Good Morning, Good Morning, Happy Friday. You're waking up a
TIF in the Morning on Kiss one oh seven one.
Thanks for checking in with the show. You're on the air.
Speaker 5 (04:43):
But Ton tenth is Joeypy.
Speaker 6 (04:45):
I just want to say go Browns and good wish
you guys luck on the game this weekend.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
So in this state, you're saying go Browns and then
in the same vein wishing Bengals fans good luck.
Speaker 4 (04:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (04:58):
Still I could still be.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
Classy, Okay, I get I mean, we do have to coexist.
Although I don't know if Cincinnatians are gonna appreciate your
sentiment this morning.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
I appreciate you at least thinking of me.
Speaker 3 (05:08):
Yeah. So if you want to let everybody else know
I said go Browns, that'd be great.
Speaker 4 (05:11):
If not, that's fine too.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
What neighborhood are you in?
Speaker 5 (05:16):
I'm landing up in Mainville?
Speaker 2 (05:18):
All right, thank you for listening to TIF in the
Morning and wake it up with me. No thanks, all right, enough,
now you're really just pushing it and overdoing it. I
gave you a little bit of a lane there, but
come on, bagels fans are gonna start boycotting me.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
Thanks so much for checking in with the show.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
Actually, I do have Marissa Contippelli, who's the team the
team reporter and producer for the Bengals, joining us in
about an hour for stripe Pipe Fridays on TIF in
the morning.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
So we're off to a good start, all right.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
In the meantime, we are commercial free coming up in
three minutes, We're gonna take a little break ski from
talking football, et cetera, to talk about this one thing
that happens amongst heist school friends and maybe you two
are experiencing this same thing.
Speaker 1 (06:05):
I'm curious we'll get to that.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
You're waking up a sorry, sorry, I panicked for a
hot second.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
On how I was going to bring up this vulnerable topic.
Speaker 2 (06:15):
If I were to ask you which high school did
you go to, you would have an answer for it, right.
Cincinnatians have this like special magic to them where they
remain friends with their high school friends.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
For like feels like forever and ever.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
And I don't know if this topic is necessarily Friday energy,
but it is being talked about amongst my group texts,
and that's kind of the structure of my show. If
it's happening in my inner circle, I'm curious if it's
happening in yours, And I'm wondering.
Speaker 1 (06:47):
If you have advice for this specific situation.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
I'm going to use names, which I don't normally do,
but Leah and I are best friends from high school
and we've been connecting a lot lately.
Speaker 1 (06:59):
If you didn't know this, I'm originally from Massachusetts.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
And she was opening up to me yesterday that the
third member of our high school group is kind of
fading away from her, and I had to bite my
tongue and I had to just listen and observe and
you know, all the things. Because that same friend, her
name is Kelsey, kind of dropped me as a friend
years ago, and that was really hard for me to digest.
And I don't know what it is if life was
(07:22):
lifing proximity, right, I had moved to Cincinnati to start
the show, et cetera, and that was really that. And
Leo was saying to me yesterday, you know, Kelse and
I just were not that close to anymore. But I
have this like feeling of guilt and sadness because we
grew up together. We have all these awesome, fun, silly memories,
(07:44):
right your core memories from childhood. And as you age,
people's lives change and you fade away. And I feel
like that's happening in my inner circle, but it doesn't
happen here in Cincinnati as often. And I want to
know what is the what is your secret? What is
the magic about this place? And so I could use
(08:08):
a little bit of your advice because I don't. I
feel sad too, and I kind of don't know, you know,
I don't know. Is it one of those things I
have to just like accept that life is lifing? Or
is there a solution to this? And I figured you'd me,
I don't. I don't know if we're gonna get many
calls on this or talkbacks. But have you ever kind
of lost a friend for no reason but you're just
not friends anymore and you think about it. Maybe it's
(08:31):
just my brain that's spiraling? Five went three seven four
nine one oh seven one, Cincinnati. What's your secret?
Speaker 3 (08:36):
You know?
Speaker 1 (08:37):
I know, I know that U high schoolers are still friends?
Speaker 2 (08:40):
Or talk back with TIF on the iHeartRadio app. The
microphone is in the top RIGHTHNT corner. You'll see that
hold it down. You can leave me a voice note.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
Good morning, a little er shirt on a for Friday.
You're waking up with Tip in the morning.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
On Kiss one oh seven one, we're talking about high
school friendships.
Speaker 1 (08:56):
You're on the air. Good morning. We'll start with the owner.
Speaker 3 (08:58):
Yeah, I was answering Tiffany's quick should have out friends
not being friends anymore?
Speaker 1 (09:02):
Yeah, well this is Tiffany. You get a direct line
to me girl.
Speaker 3 (09:05):
Oh well sorry, I would say just sometimes life becomes
life and we just lose contact. It's like nobody's fault.
I do understand where you were coming from. How like
you guys just separated and stopped talking. And it does
suck because sometimes you feel like it's on you, But
it's kind of like a mutual mutual agreement because you
(09:25):
don't you don't even notice it until like they you
start noticing it, like they could be the ones doing it,
but it's always like it's a mutual like agreement, and
then you realize it and you try to reach out
to them. Then they don't want nothing because they haven't
talked to you, so they think that you're the one
pushing away when it was actually them.
Speaker 1 (09:45):
What is your name? Whit neighborhood. You waking up with
me and.
Speaker 3 (09:47):
I'm Lindsay and I'm from Lennon, Ohio.
Speaker 1 (09:50):
Lindsay, thanks so much for the call.
Speaker 2 (09:51):
If you're just walking into the conversation, I had said,
you know, Cincinnatians have like this special thing about them
with high school relationships and friendships, and you may make
fun of the question about you know, which high school
did you go to? But I admire it and it
was kind of I wasn't expecting to get a single
phone call or talk back on this. But my high
school friend and I were talking yesterday and she said,
(10:11):
you know, someone in our inner circle is just kind
of fading away, and I feel sad about it because
we grew up together, but we're not really friends anymore.
And she really didn't know what to do, and I
didn't know what to do, and I said, you know
who would know what to do. Cincinnatians.
Speaker 3 (10:25):
You know what to do.
Speaker 1 (10:26):
Good morning, You're on the air.
Speaker 3 (10:28):
Good morning.
Speaker 5 (10:29):
So I don't know if it's a Cincinnati thing. I
think it's an Ohio thing because I actually moved from
Cincinnati up to Columbus and the same thing happened in Columbus.
And then I moved back down to Cincinnati, and I
actually was only stafe cut in contact with maybe five
people that I.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
Went to high school with.
Speaker 1 (10:47):
Okay, And I was told because.
Speaker 5 (10:49):
I asked the same question, people come into your life
for a reason, a season.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
Or forever, and I guess these Cincinnatians are a forever
type of people. Huh correct, Well, what's your name with
Neighborho are you in.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
RWs Brandon? It is excellent to hear your voice.
Speaker 2 (11:04):
Wow, I am so.
Speaker 1 (11:06):
I am so appreciative of you this morning. Thank you.
Speaker 2 (11:10):
I want to check one talkback because I feel bad
leaving them out.
Speaker 1 (11:13):
You know, I love it.
Speaker 7 (11:14):
I went to Marymont High School here in Cincinnati, and
I had a best friend named Jessica. She still lives
here in Cincinnati. I ran into her grocery store, maybe
like five years out of high school. I'm thirty seven now,
so that I told you anything, and she literally I
was so excited to see her. This is my best friend.
I mean, we did everything together. And she was like, oh, hey, sorry,
(11:35):
I'm really busy. I can't talk right now. My heart
was crushed. Couldn't believe she didn't have time to say
hi to me after five year.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
Oh girl, thank you for the talkback with Tiff. You
two can be a part of the show. Microphones in
the top right hand corner. Well, thank you for your advice,
thank you for sharing, and thank you for being a
part of Tiff in the Morning. All right, coming up
in a couple of minutes, we're going to get into
the three Things you need to Know to get your
day started in cincycluting a Justin Bieber.
Speaker 1 (12:01):
Album When you need to Know, She's Got You. It's
three Things with tip on kiss when.
Speaker 2 (12:07):
Seven, I'm good morning, Jamar Chase has a new sponsor
and I am shocked by this. Give me a hot
secretis before eight o'clock on September fifth. We're sitting in
the mid fifties right now, sixty ish. We'll see his
in the seventies with sunshine today mostly gray tomorrow but
mild and then sunny. If you're going to watch the
(12:28):
Bengals game outside on Sunday, go or geous take advantage
of that early fall, late summer football weather. All right,
do you see the news that Jamar signed with Fabletics? What?
Speaker 3 (12:42):
What?
Speaker 2 (12:43):
When I think of Fabletics, I think of Kate Hudson
and it's like a subscription service and you get two
leggings for like twenty dollars, but you have to pay
a VIP membership. That's what it was when Fabletics launched
years ago. The brand has gotta be like ten years
old at this point. Kevin Hart is investor. I'm learning
all these things about Fabletics, and I wouldn't consider I
(13:06):
don't know. I think they're a type B.
Speaker 1 (13:08):
Brand, right.
Speaker 2 (13:10):
It's not a Nike, it's not an Adidas, it's Fabletics.
I believe they have a store in the Kentwood Town Center.
And Jamar Chase is now the new endorser for Fabletics,
and you better believe that he had a conversation with
Joe Burr about that. You're finding athletes moving more into
this space. You know, Joe Burrows with Alo Alo has
(13:32):
grown tremendously in the last couple of years. Fabletics has
definitely had some celebrity and sponsors and endorsers like Cloire
Kardashian was one of them. They've done great partnerships. But
he makes the first NFL athlete to join the brand.
I didn't know they had Jamar Chase money. Okay, so
be on the lookout for that. I don't have any
(13:53):
more details other than that second in three Things, and
probably what we're going to spend most of the rest
of three Things is it's new music Friday. So Justin
Bieber announced yesterday afternoon that he had a new album
coming out called Swag two. Has twenty two songs on
it in total, making it forty four songs between Swag
(14:13):
one and Swag two. The man's been busy. The latest
installment of this album has a lot of songs about
Hayley Bieber. So we'll get started. This one's called bad Honey.
(14:51):
That one so far is my favorite. And you know what,
we're digesting the album together for the first time because
he put this thing out like three point thirty this morning.
Speaker 1 (15:01):
This is called Lion. So there wasn't Lion.
Speaker 3 (15:06):
It was not you.
Speaker 1 (15:08):
I don't argue official. The man is certainly in love
that that is for sure. So that one was called Lion.
This is called I DoD I mean, oh you will always,
(15:45):
And then I've got one more for you.
Speaker 3 (15:47):
There.
Speaker 1 (15:48):
In the first album there were skits and interludes.
Speaker 2 (15:50):
Who sorry about that. In this album there aren't many,
with the exception of I believe. The final track is
called Story of is it Story of God? Story of God?
And it's about an eight minute interlude of him talking
about Adam and Eve.
Speaker 8 (16:04):
Before the first shadow touched our hearts, there was only light.
I'm not just talking about the sunlight though it filtered
through the canopy like liquid gold, warm on my skin.
I'm talking about life. The air itself tastes is sweet
like honey and rain.
Speaker 2 (16:22):
I mean, that was very euphoric about eight minutes to
that on the last track of the album. So Swag
two is out, like I said, came out at like
three thirty this morning. We've been digesting it on the
show together for the first time. So you're just you're
walking into something brand new, all right. And then, lastly,
in three things very quickly, Hailey Bieber announced yesterday that
Road Beauty products are now available in Sephora. She joins
(16:46):
the likes of Rihanna and Selena Gomez. That is three
things you need to know for the fifth of September.
Coming up in the eight o'clock hour, we're talking about
fantasy football names. I want to know what your fantasy
football team is.
Speaker 1 (16:59):
What do you call that thing?
Speaker 7 (17:02):
Hi?
Speaker 2 (17:02):
Good morning, you're waking up with Tip in the morning
on Kiss one oh seven one. I think a healthy
dose of delusion is, you know, always good for the
inner circle. Like my friends and I were texting this
morning that we are fully convinced that I'm fully convinced
that I'm going to win the power Ball, and I
have yet to ever purchased a.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
Single Powerball ticket.
Speaker 2 (17:21):
Like the way I'm romanticizing and fantasizing about winning this money,
haven't taken a single step towards ever winning it. But
you know what, on this Friday, on this beautiful first
Friday of September, I hope all of your delulus come
to Lulu. You know, Kiss one O seven one is
(17:42):
commercial free. If you and I haven't connected on the
iHeartRadio app yet, that's a great way to be a
part of our show.
Speaker 1 (17:47):
We're always commercial free at this time.
Speaker 2 (17:49):
In fact, coming up in three minutes, we're talking fantasy
football names and fantasy football leagues with my girl Marissa
Contipelli from the Bengals. She's called almost from Cleveland for
Stripe Pipe Friday on TIF in the morning.
Speaker 1 (18:03):
Next you're waking up, good morning, It's stripe.
Speaker 2 (18:08):
Pipe Fridays, Marissa Contapelli of the Bengals joins us to
chit chat every Friday to get ready for the game. Marissa,
You're the perfect person to guide our Tiff in the
Morning listeners into this because I have such a hard
time letting go of summer that I called out of
work on Tuesday for summer bereavement. So I'm now we're
near ready for football season to start, but I bet
(18:29):
you are.
Speaker 1 (18:29):
Good morning Gal, Good morning Tiff.
Speaker 4 (18:32):
Well, all I have to say is get ready because
we are finally kicking off.
Speaker 3 (18:37):
The season this weekend.
Speaker 4 (18:38):
I oh my gosh, I have just been waiting months
and months for this finally week one, and honestly, Tiff,
I can't think of a better opponent for the Bengals
to kick off the season with than the Cleveland Browns.
The Battle of Ohio a huge divisional matchup right off
of the gate, and it's a little crazy when you
look at some of the numbers. The second time in
the last three years these teams have opened up against
(19:00):
each other. I don't know if it's a new kind
of trend the NFL is starting, but I love the
Battle of Ohio series being this early in the year.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
I'm excited too.
Speaker 2 (19:09):
Did you Were you the one that edited and posted
the hype video that went up like a day or
so ago.
Speaker 1 (19:14):
I loved watching that. That was cool.
Speaker 4 (19:17):
That was not me, that was one of our incredible producers,
Grace Hammond. She did a fantastic job on that video.
And seriously I wanted to like run through a brick
wall after watching that, like.
Speaker 3 (19:28):
This is better?
Speaker 4 (19:28):
Be this better get our fans hyped and excited because
it's just it is. I mean, there's no better matchup
to start the year than with this one, and especially
when you look at what this team wants to do.
We've heard all camp, all pre season long, start fast,
get out the gate, start, start fast, get going, and
I think that's exactly what's going to be in store.
(19:49):
I think Cincinnati comes out swinging. I think the Bengals
come out hot against the Browns. I don't necessarily expect
it to be a incredibly high scoring game, just a
it being week one. I think it might lean a
little bit more on the lower scoring side. But I
fully expend Zach Taylor and Joe Burrow to have this
offense gearing up and ready to go against Cleveland.
Speaker 2 (20:09):
I one a clock away. We'll touch base about the
home opener next week when we chat. But I would
say for the first time, and not that fantasy football
is new by any means amongst my girlfriends, but for
the first time, I'm hearing a lot of my girlies
talk about fantasy football and I'm not doing it.
Speaker 1 (20:28):
Am I missing out?
Speaker 4 (20:29):
Oh my gosh, kick, We have to get you on board.
You need to be a fantasy football guru at some
point because it just it makes it so much more
enjoyable to watch other NFL games if you don't have something,
if you're not like invested in that team, you want
to follow along if you're a fan of football. That's
kind of how I got into following fantasy football. A
handful of years ago. One of my girlfriends was like, Hey,
(20:50):
I'm putting together a league of all women for fantasy football.
Do you want in. I was like, yeah, Like, let's
go ahead. You know, I'll always follow my teams, but
let's go ahead and give us a try. And it
has so much fun. It's just getting a chance to,
I don't know, just watch other games and players and
kind of you know, have a little bit of different
investment in teams. You might not normally watch, you know,
(21:11):
on random, you know, Thursday night or Sunday afternoon, and
I think we need to get you on board for this.
Speaker 2 (21:18):
All right, Well, then what would be the one piece
of advice for someone that is thinking about starting a
fantasy football league? Coming out of your mouse, Marissa Contapelly
or mouth not mouse?
Speaker 4 (21:28):
That is a great question piece of advice. I always
like to just kind of default and have a few players.
It's not a few, then at least one from my team.
So I know every year I like to at least
draft one Bangle on my team.
Speaker 5 (21:42):
I know this year the.
Speaker 4 (21:43):
Jamar Chase was the popular target for a second overall,
I was not in the draft position to take him
that high. Unfortunately. Then you look at the other you know,
Chase Brown. I think Kase Brown is going to have
a great fantasy year, expecting him to be in the
top ten fantasy wise, and you just look at the
numbers he had put up from a season ago. So
if you were lucky enough to have Chase Brown on
your fantasy team, I think he's going to do wonders
(22:06):
for you this year. But I think the biggest thing ticks.
If you're like just looking into getting started on fantasy
is just to go and do it, having fun, especially
if you're new, not having too high expectations, you know,
just kind of like learning and getting a grasp because
you know, watching like fantasy is so different from just
like your every day to day you know kind of
(22:27):
football when it comes to just the different you know
PPR and you know, different scoring every week is a
little bit different when you're using different platforms as well.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
Okay, Well, Marissa kont Pelly, team reporter and producer for
the Bengals, she joins me for Stripe Hype Friday to
get us ready. I will look out for you while
watching the game on Sunday. I'll look out for you
on the sidelines. And I hope that you're going to
bring the good juju with you for our first game,
my gal.
Speaker 4 (22:54):
I hope so too, expecting a good one up in Cleveland.
And also, you know what's stripe Hype. I know it's
the name of our segment. That's a fantastic fantasy football
team name too. If you're looking for an extra team name,
all right, there it is.
Speaker 1 (23:06):
You might have sold me on it. Although I have
absolutely no idea what I'm doing. Thanks Mike Gal, We'll
talk to you next week.
Speaker 4 (23:12):
Talk to you that thanks.
Speaker 2 (23:13):
Kiss Hi, good morning. You are waking up with Tip
in the morning on Kiss one oh seven one. We're
talking about fantasy draft names higher on the air.
Speaker 3 (23:22):
Yes, so it's called Hurricane Trisha because that's my name.
Speaker 1 (23:26):
Ooh, I like ye okay.
Speaker 2 (23:29):
Now, are are you an expert in fantasy football or
is this like a new thing for you?
Speaker 4 (23:34):
This is my third year. This year, I'm playing two
different leagues and I'm POMPS. I actually have Joe Burrow
as my quarterback, so really looking forward to this season
and the Hurricane Trisa's going to take him down.
Speaker 1 (23:48):
All right, my girl, I appreciate you.
Speaker 4 (23:51):
Yep.
Speaker 1 (23:51):
Good luck, good luck to you.
Speaker 2 (23:52):
If you're just walking into the conversation for the first
time this morning. Marissa Contipelly from the Bengals comes on
my show First tray Pipe Fridays, and she was trying
to vinced me to do a fantasy football league.
Speaker 1 (24:01):
I said absolutely not, no, no, Now, it seems like
a lot of work. I don't get it. But I
am curious about your names.
Speaker 2 (24:09):
So if you want to join the conversation, five, win, three, seven, four, nine,
one oh seven one.
Speaker 1 (24:13):
Maybe you can convince me.
Speaker 2 (24:15):
Microphone is in the top right hand corner of the
iHeart app if you want to leave me a talk
back with Tiff.
Speaker 1 (24:20):
Good morning, Good morning. We're gonna rattle off.
Speaker 2 (24:22):
A fe you fantasy football team names. I'm curious if
you've got a good one. You're waking up with Tif
in the morning on.
Speaker 4 (24:29):
Kiss Ah, we call our the Pink Pony TDS cute. Okay.
I am a huge movie nerd and I love a
good pun, So don't at me.
Speaker 3 (24:39):
But Dak to the future.
Speaker 2 (24:42):
Okay, you must have Dak Prescott, who, by the way,
was trending last night from the whole.
Speaker 1 (24:46):
Spit Gate the Sparkly Sisters.
Speaker 4 (24:51):
Well, my friends and I have bubbly personalities and we
like to wear like rhinestones and things that are really
fun among ourselves.
Speaker 1 (25:02):
You're waking up with Fifth in the morning. Good morning.
Welcome back to TIFF's Community Corner.
Speaker 2 (25:07):
It's where I introduce you to the people, places in
neighborhoods that make up our community here in Sinci. And
I'm excited for Megan tops And to be on the
show today. She's the CEO of Dress for Success. You
might have heard it of Dress for Success, and by
learning and chatting with Megan, I've learned so much about it.
It's a nonprofit that helps women gain financial independence and
(25:30):
provides a network of support in professional attire, essentially workforce
development for women of Cincinnati.
Speaker 7 (25:37):
You got it.
Speaker 1 (25:38):
Good morning world, now, good.
Speaker 2 (25:40):
Morning and Megan, thank you for joining Tiff in the morning.
You know, workforce development. Not everyone is going to win
that one point seven billion dollar powerball jackpot this Saturday,
so we really do need those skills.
Speaker 6 (25:53):
Yes, absolutely, and thank you so much for having me
this morning. Of course, at Dress for Success Cincinnati, we
do we women a network of support and so that
includes one on one coaching that includes our small groups
in our women's circles and women's connects. The women have
peers that they're leaning on. But then with workforce development
as well, we're providing that resume support, mock interviews where
(26:16):
you're helping look for jobs, and then of course the
professional attire, which is what most people.
Speaker 1 (26:21):
Know dress for you.
Speaker 2 (26:23):
Yeah, the dress, right, it's literally the outfit because can't
be shown up in sweats to the interview.
Speaker 6 (26:29):
But you would be surprised, right, because I am a
person who likes comfort. I'm wearing sneakers today, right, and
the world is changing, so everyone's not wearing a full
suit to work anymore. So sometimes you're like, hey, I'm
re entering the workforce. What do I wear today?
Speaker 1 (26:44):
We got you oo.
Speaker 2 (26:45):
I loved that phrase, the re entering of the workforce,
you know, because at one point you might have been
in and then fell off and you're getting back in
regardless of what your financial status is and whatnot. It's
just women when they come together and they team up
and they support one another.
Speaker 1 (27:00):
Magic really does happen, Megan, It does.
Speaker 6 (27:02):
And listen, we're helping all women. So we're helping women
in the women who come through our doors go through
tremendous feats. We serve again the entire population, and at
our fashion show, which is coming up on September twelfth,
you'll hear from some of the women that we get
to serve talk about their journey. Some may have been
(27:23):
laid off, Some are coming out of domestic violence or
an abuse situation. Some may have previously been incarcerated, or
they may have taken some time off to be a
mom at home and now they're like, what does the
world look like, so it doesn't matter who you are
or what your situation is. That's the great thing about us,
like we celebrate our differences. We join together and we
(27:43):
help each other build up.
Speaker 2 (27:45):
Megan of Dress for Success, if you could think back
to one of the cooler jobs that maybe someone has
gotten through coming through your program, What is there anything
that comes to mind?
Speaker 6 (27:55):
So I would say, honestly, we have a dream wall.
So you come into our office and there's a wall
and women get to write down what it is they
would love to accomplish and write their dreams. And a
lot of women write down that they want to become
an entrepreneur and use their own business to give back
to the community. And so being able to see so
many of those come through and come to Fruition, one
(28:18):
of the coolest times was we were able to utilize
the services of one of our previous clients and actually
use her for catering for one of our holiday part
Look at that full sports circle.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
Okay, So, Megan Thompson Dress for Success one week from today,
from tomorrow today, this event is happening and you can
get tickets.
Speaker 1 (28:42):
There aren't many left.
Speaker 2 (28:43):
But if you don't have any plans for next Friday
and you want to meet a bunch of cool women
and get involved in Cincinnati. People always say to me,
you're always out about You're always doing something cool.
Speaker 1 (28:51):
Well, you should join us. Where do they get tickets?
Speaker 6 (28:54):
You can go to www dot d f S Dress
for Success Ye Sincy with a y dot com. That's
www dot dfs CI ncy dot com. You'll see a
banner at the top where you can click on to
get tickets and act fast. There are less than fifty
(29:17):
and less than one bundle pack.
Speaker 1 (29:18):
So yes, yes, and I know that long wee can
kind of snuck up on us, but yeah, we're already
at Friday.
Speaker 2 (29:23):
So by this time next Friday you could be at
a really cool event meeting people and we'd love to
have you.
Speaker 1 (29:28):
Megan, thank you so much for stopping by Tips Community Corner.
Speaker 4 (29:31):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (29:32):
What's the number one.
Speaker 2 (29:33):
Question that Cincinnatians ask each other when they're meeting for
the first time. You're walking into the daily debrief, you know,
I revisit one of the bigger things we talked about
on the show, giving you a chance to get caught up,
et cetera.
Speaker 1 (29:44):
On that is, what high school did you go to?
Speaker 3 (29:46):
Right?
Speaker 2 (29:46):
And so I said, you know what, I bet you
would be a great person to help with this conversation.
We were chit chatting earlier on the show about high
school friends and sometimes high school friend fallouts. I needed
a piece of advice from you from something going on
in my inner circle, and you did not disappoint with
your talkbacks.
Speaker 1 (30:06):
So Cincinnati has a bunch of community events.
Speaker 9 (30:09):
I feel like that a lot of high schoolers tend
to go to like festivals and stuff every year. I
personally am still friends with people I went to high
school with. I do blame checking up on them every
once in a while, every birthday, every holiday, every major
announcement like a pregnancy, I'm checking on them asking how
they're doing. But I think the events of Cincinnati, you know,
(30:31):
it's so small, you see everybody.
Speaker 1 (30:33):
Everywhere, So okay, well, thank you. That might be a
key difference.
Speaker 2 (30:37):
You know, the size of the city between Cincinnati and
Boston is you know, considerable, right? I think since he's
market thirty two and Boston is like ten. Maybe, And
I appreciate you talking back with Tiff. The microphone is
in the top right hand corner. When you're with our
show on the iHeartRadio app. You can contribute using voice notes.
I'm a big voice note user in my personal life,
(30:59):
so I'm glad that they made it over.
Speaker 1 (31:00):
To the show.
Speaker 2 (31:01):
I appreciate your insight on that one. You'll have to
get caught up on the podcast. Maybe you two are
kind of feeling this divide between your high school friends.
I'd love to have you search Tiff in the morning
on that same iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 1 (31:14):
Happy Friday.
Speaker 2 (31:15):
I hope you're off to a good star and I
hope you're excited for this weekend. I mean, outside of
us transitioning out of summer, we're getting ready for our
first game of the season.
