In a stunning turnaround, Canada’s Liberal party, under the new leadership of economist Mark Carney, has won re-election. Just a few months ago, the Conservative opposition were the favorite to win, but US President Donald Trump's tariffs and threats to Canada's sovereignty reshaped the race.
