About these box sales that the Gore Pakiky Lions do.
I was after the rape yenual, the complete series I
couldn't find nineteen eighty five. My wife managed to find
it there, along with a couple of duplicates of other
years as well. So if you after something random like that,
like a sports book as I was, or you want
just something to read as you go through the spring motions, well.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
Here's something there to consider.
Speaker 2 (00:41):

over at Burwood Station.

legends and yes, a lot of hunting books for a
sport book.
Speaker 1 (01:16):

but how's your season been today?
Speaker 3 (01:25):
Yeah? Good god? Yeah, we're sort of in in that
funny stage was that start Lemming where it's still real
cold and do as much fad about as what we'd like.
But but we're doing pretty well all things considering, because
you're only cranking into Lemming properly at the moment.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
Is that right? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:42):
Pretty?
Speaker 2 (01:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:42):

it doesn't happen.

happy to put into it. As the money going towards
anything in particular.
Speaker 3 (02:33):
Yeah, yeah, we're donating half of our money back to
the Fiordland Marine Search and Rescue.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
Awesome.
Speaker 3 (02:39):
Yeah, they play a big part in our community, so
it's always good to go back now.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
They do a massive, massive part for the community where
your base because you're pretty much isolated.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
There, Yeah, exactly, and they pretty much cover the whole
sort of other South Island as well. It's just yeah,
they're just based in town out there, so and yeah,
all all of thes're all volunteers from Tianna.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
So what time does it get underway? On Friday?
Speaker 3 (03:03):
With five o'clock on Friday on Friday at the Rugby Club.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
This is event obviously it takes all even the planning
on imagine.
Speaker 3 (03:11):
Oh definitely, yeah, I think we probably started planning this
back in May, so yeah, we're definitely, yeah, definitely a
lot of work going into us.
Speaker 5 (03:20):
And We've brought a lot of hard work for everyone,
especially with sponsorship.
Speaker 1 (03:24):
Is this one of your key fundraisers for the club
as well?
Speaker 3 (03:26):
Would you say, yeah, this was probably a big one
for the year. Yeah, and which is really good as well.
We're not just fundraising for us, fundraising to put back
into into the community as.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
Well, because you guys go and pick up rocks and
stuff too, Is that right?
Speaker 3 (03:40):
Uh? Yeah, picked up a fever of rock. Yeah. And
then over the last couple of weeks we went through
Pune the whole of the pine trees and yeah, the
old men me and the old barbecue here and there.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
That's what it's all about.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
That, I mean, the tailing season coming out to do
you guys do any tails?
Speaker 3 (04:00):
Yeah, Yeah, we'll line some up for first weekend the November,
which I'm definitely looking forward to it.

I think everybody will. By the time you get to November.
Speaker 2 (04:09):
You do for I don't know, I'd say r and
ems off farm, which means go go out there and
do something and reconnect.
Speaker 3 (04:17):
Definitely, and hopefully in the sunshine.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
Hopefully in the sunshine.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
So as far as meetings and that you guys have
been you've had your meetings through the spring season.
Speaker 3 (04:25):
Yeah, we've got our got our monthly meeting coming up
tomorrow night.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
Actually no, I'm nice one of the details around that.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
Then we're at the at the town now Workmen's Club
and yeah, so just seven o'clock onwards. Just yeah, just
just rock up.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
There's worse places to go for a meeting.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
Oh exactly. And the biggest thing is for anyone but
jubius about coming along. You don't you don't have to
be a farmer. We've we've got a good a good
group of people in our club who aren't farmers, which
is awesome.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
Is that something that people don't realize of young farmers.
It's open to anybody, regardless of trade or occupation.
Speaker 3 (05:02):
Yeah, yeah, that's a big thing for a lot of people.
And I guess O guess the name the name was
pretty off puttings, I suppose, But that's the same thing
with their bark up this weekend, Like you're like, you don't,
you don't have to be a shepherd or anything to
come along, you know, Like we've got a whole whole
pet section there. There's some some pretty awesome prizes.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
So what else you've got coming up after this? This
will be your big event obviously, but any fundraising efforts
of the likes heading you through late spring.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
Yeah, well, a.
Speaker 3 (05:31):
Few weeks ago we had our big sort of South
Ambeddmentton competition.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
That's right.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
Yeah, yeah, I'd hate to say it, but nightcapt Young
Farmers took that one.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
Yet Nightcaps seems to be a rivalry developing between the
rest of South and the Nightcaps, the Crusaders and everyone else.
Speaker 3 (05:48):
Right, Oh pretty much? Yeah, no, they went pretty well.
Speaker 2 (05:51):
Really, so they're the Crusaders of the Young Farmers world
and attag of South and would you.
Speaker 3 (05:55):
Say oh, I'd say so, yeah, coming up through the rink.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
Well, you guys have a good membership base as well though.
That seems to be the key with all the clubs.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
Yeah, definitely. Now we're probably sitting around that sort of
thirty members mark, which is.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
Awesome, fantastic. Will you drawing a lot on a large
region when you think about it.
Speaker 3 (06:14):
Oh definitely, yeah, no, real boat, especially when.
Speaker 5 (06:17):
You got the old people coming up up from Black Mountains.
Speaker 2 (06:22):

people want to catch up.

boy condoms. He asks for xxx xx L and only
once we got married did I realized that he had
the stutters.
