Speaker 1 (00:00):
A scene to recognize it's your beans parting familiar years.
I can't see this is the Musterine Hakanoi Field Days.
Southern Field Days at Way Moomoo happening next week. Eco
Lab is going to be there on site two thirty.

(00:21):
Now Eco Labs always had a solid relationship with farmers
is what they've developed in nutured over decades of quality
with effective farm hygiene products. Now that relationship is getting better.
Things to Eco Labs solids range, bringing all the efficiency
of the liquid products to smaller, light and more concentrated
solid formulations. Now they're going to be at field Days.

(00:41):
Like I say, go and go and see the team.
Sign up for your seasons requirements and you're going to
be in the drawer to when your order for free
terms and conditions apply. So there's Eco Lab at Southern
Field Days at Way Mumoo. They're going to be on
site number two three oh two thirty residents spoiling Garry
Nathan Burgh in good afternoon.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
Mate, Yeah, why Momo, great part of the world. And
we've got Mlt Moonshine Trail happening in that in that
week corner of Paradise next weekend as well.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
As Bill Laurie would say, it's all happening.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
It's all happening out why Momory.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
Way, it's all happening down in the deep South and
it's all happening. State of Origin twenty twenty seven, Eden Park, Auckland.
It sounds like this is a goer.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
Yeah, And I think you know, I've been one of
these people who for years has been meaning to actually
get themselves organized, get the gorse out of the pocket
and get over to Australia for State of Origin. It
was it was a big part of my growing up years,
getting getting hot to big, big Queensland fan. But I
guess now that they're going to talking about a one

(01:47):
in one in Auckland, that's sort of the excuses of
why we can't get there. It will become less and least,
don't they Well.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
Okay, here's one for you. Would you rather go to
the State of Origin or go to the MCG boxing
day test black Cats IZI next next year or this year? Actionally?

Speaker 2 (02:02):
Oh yes, good year that is if that is a
good one gut feeling, I would probably have to go
the Boxing day test. I think for probably there's a
scarcity fact there isn't there. We don't get many of those.
I do have a good friend of mine who went
to the last one and he's been talking about it
talking about it ever since, especially that opening over. I

(02:22):
think things sort of peaked in the first first six
balls of their test, didn't they. But yeah, that would
be something to tick off the bucket list for sure.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
Well, I suppose as a state of origin, you're guaranteed
to get the full quota of the game, unlike Test cricket.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Yeah, you can lock that in. You can lock in
whatever your time commitment is. Yeah, the old Test they
three days is enough at the moment to get through
some of these, isn't it.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
But it'll be interesting though, Rugby League like as a
matter of time until we get another franchise to rive
with the Warriors based out of christ Church, it's this
fantastic stadium is going to be up and running very
shortly and arguably the n r L. It's yeah, you
can see what they wanted to get involved.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
Yeah, I think you know you can see. I guess
the way the Warriors have been able to build that
fan base in Auckland and across the country in recent years.
I think there's there's but there's definitely enough interest. The
games that have been taken to christ Church in recent
seasons by by a number of teams have been really

(03:30):
well supported by the by the I guess the christ
here it's faithful, but probably the whole South Island audience.
Haven't they throw in a brand new stadium which is
going to be which is going to be incredible and
you know you do have the makings of a of
a franchise. I guess the question being, you know, the Warriors,
as we all know, yet to win a title. Ken

(03:54):
do we want a team? Is it a team just
for a team's sake or is it a team that's
going to go into that competition and actually be a threat. Interesting.
I guess that echoes of what's happening in football at
the moment. We've seen Auckland FC be able to come
in and sort of almost coming over the top of
the Wellington Phoenix and make an impact on that competition
straight away.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
You had a dog back barking in the background or something.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
Yes, yeah, I do. Bella Yeah, who was famously on
the on the southn Times a couple of weeks ago,
and she's just decided to take this opportunity to start barking.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
Well, mate, this is a rural show and any dog
barking is all about background anbas is. Fantastic, Hey, look
a good news story. Then he set the all Black sevens,
Michael Manson, Fletcher Morgan and Scott Gregory from a Southern perspective,
all playing under the stags better of course, and doing
really well in the tournament last weekend in Singapore, Michael

(04:47):
Manson setting the field of light twice with two outstanding tries.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Yeah, definitely something to celebrate. I'm sure without going through
all the Ormanacs, I'm pretty sure there's never been three
South in the representing New Zealand and sevens at the
same time. And yeah, just as you says, showcasing that
blistering pace that we all know that Michael Manson has.
He's shown it on so many occasions at NPC level,

(05:12):
and I guess the thing for me is move him
on to that seven stage where everybody is fast and
he still is. You know, the tries that he scored,
he's just absolutely uppacing these guys. He's just got he
has got blistering pace and it's great to see that
being showcased on the international stage because he's.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
Still aligned with the Stags. Is that right, Michael Manson,
He's still under contract.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
Yeah, the beauty of this situation, I think he's I
think he's on a two year contract with New Zealand
Sevens and those and obviously that the sevens team have
a direct line of sight through to the next Olympics
in LA But the two schedules seem to line up
pretty well, and from what we understand he's available for
the next two years for the Stags as well.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
It's great the Winter Olympics, the underwear and Essie. I
think it's in the next couple of days in Milano, Cortina.
I'm not sure how you pronounce that, so apologies, but yeah,
certainly going to be some interesting viewing over the next
couple of weeks.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
Yeah, it's I've got a special place in my heart
for this. A nix I covered the Satchy Winter Olympics.
Didn't actually unfortunately covered it without actually even hopping on
a plane, did it from the from the lounge at
the time. Was cheating way a lot. It's the way
a lot of media happens in these days. But yeah,

(06:33):
it's it is a great event. I think it's probably
one of those ones that we all become experts on
every every four years. The New Zealand Presidence has grown
remarkably over the last few editions, and you know, we
are genuine metal threats in all sorts of events. Probably
the one thing for me is that, you know, there's

(06:53):
there's a few learnings around just sort of how these players,
these players, these athletes approached the event that they're in
and it's not necessarily you know, they tend to be
almost competing against themselves and you see a lot of
fist bumps and high fires between the participants at the
end of their runs, and that could be something that
the casual spectator can can struggle to get the heads

(07:16):
around at times. It's a different sort of beast, these
sort of Winter Games residents.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
Broughting, Gary Nathan Braden enjoy the golfing weekend.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
Lovely thanks mate, laugh out loud with ag proud because
life on the land can be a laughing matter.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
