Speaker 1 (00:01):
Me dream it just don't know me. Farns guitar, Gluke Colmbs.
There's the music you're listening to. The muster on Hokanui
our next guest. He's achieved quite a bit of rugby,
but I think one of his favorite memories was winning
the Gailbraith Shield with way Kakia back in nineteen ninety eight.
Paul Oga Miller welcome Ogre house things.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Oh that was only yesterday. I felt like winning that
Galbraith Shield was my brother and a couple other stragglers. No,
it was a great, great event, but no, doing really well,
doing well, And now I'm pretty pretty bloody stoked. The
Old Highland has knocked off the Crusaders last weekend, too andy, So.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
Yeah, great week There was a gift.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
There was a wind that was built on guts, wasn't it.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Yeah, guts and determination and steadiness from Cameron Miller to
knocked that pebalty over. So like he was everyone's favorite son,
not just Southland's favorite son obviously, but no, he did cool,
calm and collective and I think he's just carrying on
where he carried on the form that he had it

(01:02):
when he was playing with the NBC last year. So no,
no big ups to Cameron, but no, no, it was
really gutsy performance, really impressive by the whole fall back,
but the whole team essentially.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
Now the injuries, Dyn't Pledges out, Fabian Holland's out, Arfen
Hurley's out at the moment as well, arguably three big
time players for when the moment calls for it. Do
you think the Highlanders say they've got the Chaser Sweet,
They've got the depths to go through.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
I look, I'm probably been a realistic person here. The
depth is questionable, but you know they're fifteen that they've got,
I mean this guts and then they just get down
to get down to work and really impressed with the
blose for Trio TK and Shawan with the and Luke's
casey I had question marks about him being a number eight,

(01:47):
but you know.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
They're definitely the TEP.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
That depth will be questioned, but I mean they've got
a good bench. You got the Vinny La Sunger, the
impressive open side. He had a good campaign with the
Targo will start out there, you know, just campaign back.
Obviously Graft is there, but I I'm not sure really
what they've got underneath that. That'll be a question with
you know, further into this competition, but for now, very

(02:13):
impressed with their whole twenty two at the moment. Twenty three, well, the.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
Chase is going to be a litmus test. They got
that when last week over the Blues, so they've started
on the right foot.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
Yeah, I mean I did sit down and watch it.
I nearly fell asleep. It was. It was quite a
boar feest and just being honest, but I mean that
was just the measure of two teams that were quite
competitive and quite similar in terms of the structure that
they wanted to play. It was just just like an
Armory said, Well, I would say it'd be going to
be different tomorrow night underneath the stadium, underneath the roofie
at the Stadium and Dan Eden, so you might see

(02:46):
a bit more enterprising play from the likes of the
Back the Backs and the Chiefs, with likes of Leroy
Carters coming there the all Black and any Nana Saturo
to fall back there for the Chiefs. So I think
that might be a bit more expensive, but Ireland has
obviously got that experience and that's definitely the way they
want to start and finish.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
As far as the Jamie Joseph coaching saga, regarding the
Yell Blacks, what do you see panning out there? It
sounds as though it's a two way battle between him
South and Dave Rennie.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
Yeah, I don't have too much inside knowledge. Was talking
to one of the coaches, you might know him, Clark Dermany,
just mentioned that year they they've got some contingency plans
in order. They do have a quite of experienced coaches
underneath Jamie, the likes of Kidbull and Corey Brown, and

(03:39):
there is sort of half a dozen guys that can
probably you know, take the reins. But I don't know
anything that what the public know at the moment. So yes,
I would be surprised though that on Scott Robertson's dismissal
from the All Blacks or you know, resignation, whatever you
want to call it, I wouldn't be surprised if they
didn't have a coming up this sleeve in terms of

(04:02):
a contingency plan. So I wouldn't be surprised. They were
already talking to Jamie with the likes of Dave Renny
in the middle of last year.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
Essentially regarding that Scott Robinson's situation. How do you think
he was handled because from the outside looking in, there
was a lot there the ind I could have done better.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Yeah, I think from my perspective, the players had a
lot of say that the more the senior already of
the players, barring probably the how would I say this
quite on the fence without having more of a Canterbury influence,
So I think the seniority some of those players were well.

(04:39):
Look between obviously you and me and everyone else know
that there was some disgruntlemen around the culture within that team.
Hence why there was obviously a player review, player revolt.
I'm not sure if we would go that far, but
there was definitely some sort of disappointment or descendency within
the top is the top of the player or with

(05:00):
experienced players, hence why there was that initial review, and
obviously Scott Robinson got his marching orders. Essentially, I'll throw.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
This one at OG. The situation around Rugby Park you're
talking about, I think the figures approximately fifteen million dollars
to get the stadium up and running again. What are
your thoughts around that you've wore the Stags jersey played
on there? Do we need to preserve Rugby Park, preserve it.

Speaker 3 (05:26):
I think you've got to get with the times. You forget,
got to keep up with obviously the other facilities within
the country and then like if you don't, then you're
going to lose it.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
And I think what makes the stadium is the people
and the people of South and the community absolutely inspirational.
They are great, So you know, you've got to have
something that they've got to come to they feel comfortable
and and you know the sign of the times, maybe
they do need to sort of renovate or you know,
keep up with the stadium policies, procedures and it's help

(06:01):
and safety compliance that comes into it as well. But
I'm all for it. But at the end of the day,
and you know, it was back. It was fantastic perceive
so many passionate people come to watch the Stags, even
though you know at times we don't have the results
to go back with it. But look, it's it's the
people that make the actual stadium so well for whatever

(06:22):
it's worth, and I think they're going to go.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
For it now.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
I took my ten year old to Stag Day last
year and I said to see, mate, you're going to
learn a lot about life over the next eighty ninety minutes,
but just forget ninety percent of it.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
Yeah, and that's that's the experience, isn't it. It's not
just what's happening on the field, it's the community aspect
of it. And I was fortunate enough to be there.
I had a bit of reunion there two thousand and
five teen. But look, and it's just such a good
community feel at Rugby Parking and the Cargo. It just
obviously brings not just the people with Nimbs, but also

(06:57):
around about the community's you know, Gore to Lumsden, over
to Tianaku. So it just brings everyone. And that's the
social aspect, which you know, people just you know, you
can't forget that and just rather looking at the focal
point of the stadium itself.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
Okay, I go prediction for tomorrow night.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
I look again, you know, that's never going to be
easy against this Chiefs and they've got a pretty pretty
switched online up. But I think with the Islanders, they
they can keep this momentum with that four pack. Whether
the storm. The Chiefs have got a really really well
experienced loose for Tree. I'm very excited to see him

(07:38):
go toe toa with Jacobs and Brown and Boshi is
so sprinkling of all blacks throughout as well. But look,
I'm even though they're up against it, the holands, I'm
calling on another Cameron Miller sensational penalty kick, probably in
the last minute.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
Good on, we'll go with that. Always appreciate your time, all.

Speaker 2 (07:58):
Right, Thanks Andy, laugh.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
Out loud with ag proud because life on the land
can be a laughing matter. Brought to us by sheer
Well Data working to help the livestock farmer. So I
was in a shoe shop this morning trying on a shoe.
I said, to your sister, that's too tight. She did,
She says, she goes try it with the tongue out.
I said, there's still no good. There's still too tight problem.

(08:27):
That's ask for the afternoon. The best of the Muster
five AM Tomorrow podcast going up shortly. I'm Andy Muller,
of course, I says, been the Muster on Hakanui. Many
thanks of Peters Senis. Enjoy the weekend at the Landa's

Love Trapped

Love Trapped

Former Bachelor Clayton Echard’s casual one-night fling turned into a paternity nightmare. When the news broke about the scandal, no one believed Clayton at first. He was a reality TV star, and an unpopular one at that. Clayton found himself trying to prove the truth, while trapped in a web of lies, manipulation, and threats. He would soon discover he was not the only one. At its core, this is a story about who you believe and why. It’s an epic battle that would take a group of strangers, citizen sleuths from across the world, to crack the case and finally hold someone accountable. New episodes of Love Trapped are released every Thursday, starting February 26th, 2026.
